Sightseeing

Places you should not miss
Kayaking in the Banana river and mangrove tunnels of the Thousand Island park is one of the highlights of Cocoa Beach and my personal favorite. Think about it: you cross the backyard, hop in a kayak and immerse into a different world full of manatees, dolphins, quaint backyards, and endless mangrove labyrinths. Free use of kayaks is included when you stay at my place.

A really interesting museum for all ages. Their dinosaur exhibit is great, giving you a chance to see some dinosaur fossils and take a peek into periods such as the Jurassic period. The museum also has an ancient Egypt exhibit where you can experience the model replica of King Tut’s tomb, as well as an ancient china and a Mesoamerica exhibit. After a visit to the museum, you can check out their store and adventure zone where kids can get a hands on museum experience.

Since you are now on the space coast, why not check out the place that makes Cocoa Beach the best spot to see launches? You can get a chance to see old space crafts and memorabilia, as well as several other exhibition halls. It's a great place to go if you are interested to see how NASA operates! You can also view rocket launches from anywhere on the beach, Cocoa Beach Pier or while kayaking in the lagoon.
