Best donuts I maybe have ever tasted. Really I'm not kidding! They can be really busy and sell out fast so call a day ahead to reserve. You'll need to drive as it's downtown St. Catharines about a 10 minute drive... but worth it.

Great place to pick up cured meats, cheeses, crusty bread and everything else you'll need to make a nice charcuterie board to go with your VQA wines. Plus a great selection of in house made frozen foods to quickly pop in the oven and a small grocery selection. They also have a deli counter with warm takeaway food. I should warn that for some reason it takes awhile to get your food so be sure to give yourself a little extra time. You'll need to drive as its about 5km's away from the Port House.

Newly opened restaurant. I haven’t tried it out yet but they have a food truck and I tried that out a year or so ago and remember it being good. They have a great patio with lovely views of Martindale Pond and the boats docked at the yacht club!

Sunset Beach is a little larger than the beach in Port Dalhousie but can get very crowded on weekends and it's hard to find parking. Also, there are limited amenities and the washrooms are small. But if you in for some fun it's quite the party crowd and the sunsets are great.

If you’re interested in boats, shipping, canals, locks and waterways. The Welland Canal is one of the busiest ones on the Great Lakes and it just a short 5-10 minute drive away. It’s actually pretty cool to watch one of the big ocean liners enter or exit from one of the locks!
