Everything tastes really good here with some unique Options like a salmon burger and even simple things for kids like Mickey Mouse pancakes or waffles with fruit and whipped cream.

Only a 6 minute drive or 15 minute bike ride, you can use our two adult bikes and plethora of kids bikes to get to one of the only free beaches year round. Small, usually very little waves so great for kids or if you simply want to relax without many people. https://goo.gl/maps/pCFUfQRLswJtJC2r5

As I mentioned in another post you can take our 4 kayaks and use the little dolly (no straps needed, they balance once you put them on-we’ve taken 3, but you may get all 4 on if 2 people are holding them in place) to walk down 3 blocks to go kayaking in the Narrow river without time constraint ($125 savings for a 2 hour rental)! Use the Narrow river kayak website to check tide times if you want to time the tide to kayak down towards the Narragansett Bay about 2 to 3 hours and then kayak back up the river with the tide coming in. https://goo.gl/maps/chycTNbsEyV4UDc

One more beautiful private beach that you can visit from after Sept Labor Day until May memorial weekend. If you don’t know the walking paths to enter the beach publicly after biking down there (you can leave the bikes in the tall reeds), you probably can’t get on in the summer.

The playground was built brand new in 2020 so this is a fantastic park right next to the beach with local events from time to time, including our church, Legacy, had worship in the park here!

Sightseeing

Rome point is also a favorite walk about a 10 minute drive north from our house, probably about a 15 minute walk down to the Narragansett Bay after you park At Rome point trail head. https://goo.gl/maps/bdWdG6ZYucukvoK6A

I highly recommend the 5-10 minute hike at Black Point Trailhead, off of Ocean Road. Usually when you pull in to the parking lot you’ll just have to sit and wait in your parked car, but someone usually comes back within 3 to 8 minutes if there’s not a parking spot. It’s a short little walk to the ocean with gorgeous big rocks you can climb/walk along and if you go down to the right you can either climb down the rocks or stay on the trail a little further 5-10 min out to the point.
