Outstanding working ranch and vineyard in Williams, Oregon about 108 miles or 2 hours 15 minutes from the Zen Round House. We recommend combining this visit with other wine tasting opportunities in the Applegate Valley A.V.A, or as part of a longer tour to Grant's Pass, Jacksonville, or Ashland.

A historic 1850's Gold Rush era small town, featuring multiple antique and boutique shops, and six different vineyards within a mile of the town. Each year the town hosts the Britt Music and Arts Festival, the Pacific Northwest's premier outdoor summer performing arts festival. Britt presents dozens of summer concerts, featuring world-class artists in classical music, jazz, blues, folk, bluegrass, world, pop and country music. Britt's performance venue is a naturally formed amphitheater set among majestic ponderosa pines and native madrones on the beautiful hillside estate of 19th century photographer Peter Britt.

Home to the world-famous Oregon Shakespeare Festival and ranked in the top 10 of “The 100 Best Small Art Towns in America,” Ashland is a cultural hot spot, with award-winning galleries, theaters and restaurants. Nestled at the base of the Siskiyou and Cascade mountain ranges, Ashland has a reputation for great outdoor recreation in the city limits and beyond. Mt. Ashland Ski Area provides winter recreation opportunities as well.
We recently completed a tour which included dinner at Amuse Restaurant followed by the Oregon Shakespeare Festival production of Macbeth. Outstanding!

Crater Lake was formed when Mt. Mazama, a volcano which once stood 12,000 feet tall, erupted and collapsed 7,700 years ago. The remaining cliffs caused rain and snow to drain into the crater and formed the deepest lake in the United States, with a depth of 1,943 feet. The water's intense blue color is an indication of its great depth and purity. Crater Lake is considered to be the cleanest, clearest, and some say, the most beautiful large body of water in the world.
Crater Lake is 203 miles or 4 hours 15 minutes from Casa Redondo. We recommend this visit as part of a longer multiple-day tour, possibly including Ashland, Jacksonville, and the Applegate Valley Wine Trail.
