The list below is a small sample of independent restaurants you may not have heard of that could be of interest.
I have added a selection of top end special occasion restaurants with set/tasting menus which will require advance reservations along with excellent mid priced Italian, vegetarian, thai and Indian restaurants.
Most are walking distance from the apartment or a short taxi ride.
If you are fan of Masterchef The Professionals this is worth a visit. Chef Steven Edwards was the winner in 2013. Superb food. Ideal for a very special occasion. You need to book in advance as it is a small 12 table restaurant. Tasting menu only.
