Late night bar with a culture centered around coffee. Great Irish coffees and blends. This is a personal favorite as a 'last call' of the night. The scene here is slightly 'hipster.' HIt or miss with the live music.

Grungy bar that is literally underground. You will pass it if you don't look for the lengthy stairs going down beside 8th street. It's a cool dive bar. The scene is eclectic. Don't be swayed by the odd entrance, and yes that's the bouncer generally at the bottom of the staircase. On a busy night, it can be a neat experience. Live music and karaoke are done here.

Bee's is a fine-dining tapas restaurant. Fair wine selection. The atmosphere is great for couples dining, dating, or small groups of friends. Forewarned, if you are unfamiliar with tapas, they are very small portions of food. The shrimp and grits, made with a grit-cake, are excellent, as is the half-baked half avocado.

Entertainment & Activities

Gentleman's Club. Has the best line-up in Augusta during the Master's Week. The only male entertainment spot I would suggest in Augusta.

Drinks & Nightlife

Great spot if you are craving a burger. This is not a dive bar by any stretch of the imagination. Centrally located downtown, it is usually packed. These guys have the largest whiskey list I have seen in any bar/restaurant in Augusta with an excellent choice of single malt scotch. I personally suggest the single malt 12 year Macallan with a single king cube. Maybe a 25 year if you're feeling celebratory.
