Wineries

Short list of Walk In Wineries for wine tasting and tours. No reservations needed
13th Century Castle replica. Definitely a "touristy" thing to do, but personally I think it is an amazing place to go. You can get a wine tasting and access to main floors, or buy the guided tour and see the wine caves and dungeon. OR just park and walk around the outside for free - amazing vineyard views and sometimes there are animals (pigs, goats, peacocks)

City advice

Getting around

Airports

Fly into San Francisco or Sacramento. When traffic is good, it take under 2 hours to get here from SFO. Napa is a good place to stop along the way for lunch, dinner, or groceries. If you leave SFO between 3pm and 6pm weekdays, it can take an additional hour. There is a shuttle service from SFO to Napa called Evans. The cost is $40 pp. This is a good option if you want to avoid SF traffic. Sacramento airport is just over 2 hours from here. There is rarely a traffic problem. There is a shortcut that passes by a large lake, though the road is very windy, it's a beautiful drive.
