This is in an area of DC called Barracks Row, which is at the Eastern Market metro. Ted's Bulletin is a fun, breakfast thru dinner place that makes their own pop-tarts and other fun things. The whole of Barracks Row is full of restaurants. Also nearby is Eastern Market itself, a fun place to browse, buy groceries, have coffee, etc.

OK, it's not a park but a town. Cheverly is a great place to walk or run. A few hills but nothing strenuous. Lots of trees. There are some small tot parks (one is a block from our house, across Cheverly Ave. and continuing down Inwood), a community center with tennis courts, basketball court and picnic tables., and a short trail behind the basketball court that goes to the 7-11 at the bottom of Chev Ave. A little noisy from traffic. These photos are of the Bladensburg Park & Marina (for canoes & shells), which has a nice, wide paved trail along the Anacostia River, and is a 10-minute drive away.

A bit of a ways to go, but a huge movie theater for current movies and the AFI Silver for avant garde films and others. Also lots of shops and restaurants. Not sure why these pictures of the Mormon Temple showed up, although it is near Silver Spring.
