About an hour and a half from Toronto just outside of Waterloo, is the Amish Village of St. Jacob's. They have the most AMAZING farmer's market, on Saturdays and Thursdays, with great cured meats and baked goods. It's also great to stop for a snack in the village.

This restaurant is very small, does mostly take out business, and keeps short, odd hours, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE everything they serve. It's all Indian/Caribbean fusion type food. I think my favourite is the butter chicken schnitzel, but really everything is amazing!!!
Very tasty Mexican food and good sized portions. Also really good Sangria and Margaritas with a great atmosphere and outdoor patios.
