A working dairy which is iconic in Gauteng. Great restaurant but also lovely for picnics (they have an onsite deli - you can't bring in your own food) Especially a hit for families with young children as there is a lovely walk and you can watch the cows being milked. Their ice-cream is a must!

Beautiful buildings and gardens and extremely safe inside. Take a picnic there in summer at 5pm and watch the sun set over Pretoria - a great view! A huge statue of Nelson Mandela looks over the city.
