Entertainment & Activities

We have never missed a year visiting Clark's, also known as Clark's Trained bears. (They are all rescue bears, they are adorable, they live about 5 times longer than wild bears). It also has a steam locomotive, a Chinese acrobat show (totally amazing), a water slide, water boats, a shop with all kinds of local knickknacks, food of course, and exhibits of steam engines of all sorts.

The Polar Caves are shockingly cool. Created by a glacier morrain, it's basically a pile of rocks that you can't believe got there by itself. Local Native American used to use the place for meetings. You climb all over and under it.

Plymouth has some really nice restaurants and a very good health food store. It has a movie theater which sometimes operates. Plus Plymouth State University and it's accompanying bookstores and quaint college atmosphere.

Sightseeing

Mt Washington is about an hour and half's drive from the house. You can get up it by the Cog Railway, which we've done twice in recent years. Not cheap but absolutely worth it. You can also drive up from the other side of the mountain. Or hike, if you're prepared!
