A cheap and friendly pub with stunning views of the river and Tower Bridge. On a cold or rainy day the wood panelled interior is cosy. On a sunny day, everyone drinks outside sitting on the wall by the river. (My favourite local!)

If you want something quaint - the Mayflower is a 15 minute walk way, on a cobbled street, with wooden beams and floor. It's like a little country pub tucked away in town and the food is pretty decent too.

A wine-bar-with-food. The wine is all 'natural wine' - some of which I find a bit weird, but some of which is just incredible. The staff are friendly and helpful and will steer you towards something you'll enjoy and let you taste a bit first. The food is also incredible.

This park is right opposite my house and is a firm favourite with me on a sunny day. It's 150 years old and full of beautiful mature trees. It's very well cared for, and lovely to walk or run around or just to lie on the grass. There are tennis courts, an outdoor gym, a cafe and an art gallery too.

Parking immediately outside is for resident permit holders only. Non-permit parking is available not far away - search for “Southwark Map Controlled Parking Zones” to see a map. There are various platforms you can use to rent a car in the area. Drivy is my favourite. Also good is ZipCar. The nearest “Boris Bike” docks are next to Bermondsey Tube or the Rotherhithe Tunnel.
