Food scene

Easy walk or bike ride from our property. We love to stop here for a beverage or treat while on a long walk around the neighborhood. Also a great option for picking up local, prepared foods and grocery essentials. We come here multiple times a week. Definitely our favorite spot in the neighborhood.

Chocolate croissant is one of my favorite treats to pickup here. It is walkable from our property, though you will be walking up hill on the return trip.

Now called Louie and Honey’s kitchen. They are known for their cinnamon rolls and they are sooo good (and huge!). We also really like their goat cheese and jalapeño scones.

Activities

Our kids love to go to this museum! Great option for a rainy day. This location focuses on science and is more educational. There is a planetarium and lots of hands on experiments. There is a toddler spot that is great for ages 4 and under. This location is larger and more spread out than the downtown location. We find it’s more enjoyable to go here with our older children. Stroller definitely necessary with younger kids because they will get tired walking around and/or maybe want to run off to explore another area:)
