Hythe is a great pedestrian town, has lots of local amenities including a bakery, takeaway, fish and chip shop, wine bar, pubs, shops, restaurants, cafes, a cobbler and traditional vegetable grocers. Some say it has the best kebab house on the south coast! There is also a waitrose and lidl for a bigger shop and a boots pharmacy. Hythe has its own marina complex with further places to eat

Lymington is a historic fishing town with a cobbled sector towards the quay, the high-street has a market on Saturdays. Lots of 'shopping' shops great for everything! Plenty of great cafes, pubs, places to eat to fit all budgets. Fishing boat trips go from the quay, there is a marina, yacht club, swimming baths / sea water lido with inflatables, model boat lake etc

Located between the edge of the River Test and the New Forest National Park boundary Marchwood is a small town that has built up around the military port situated here. There is a yacht club on the water front and a public footpath from there to the village of Eling which is good for a dog walk. A couple of country pubs and small shopping precinct along with the C of E church. Marchwood is a bit more industrial but still has its charm.
