Off road cycling

Off road path going from Finsbury Park to Highgate. Previous old railway track, now a nature reserve with interesting and varied verges along the way. At crouch End an overgrown platform, graffiti arches, woodland, BMX play area. Exiting at Highgate you have the large Woods to walk around and a cafe at the centre by the cricket ground. But cycling is not permitted in the woods itself.

A scenic place to enjoy a walk or picnic away from the hectic city life. London life, not often seen by tourists.

This is on route from mainly off road via a canal path, through Walthamstow Wetlands and Tottenham Marshes. Stonebridge Lock cafe is a hidden gem long the way, to sit and rest. At the Edmonton end a turn off leads to IKEA, if you want to factor in a shopping trip. May need a trailerif you 8ntend to buy flat packed furniture :)

The surrounding park is what I'm getting at, not the theatre. Along the Parkland Walk you can reach Crouch End and then an easy shortride to the entranceof Ally Pally as known by locals. It's hilly but level from the gate entrance at the traffic lights in Crouch End. Once in, a short but sharp push up a hill gets you to the Palace itself with a bar, cafe by pond and wonderous sights over London. The historic BBC broadcasting transmission tower is on view too.
