Sightseeing

A sports bar with a mini bowling alley. I mean about 3 small lanes with mini pins and balls. This is one of those bars to visit as a group for drinks and traditional bar food. Nothing fancy but can be a lot of fun. $$

City advice

Customs and culture

“You are not in Kansas anymore”

The neighborhood is generally safe but you have to remember that “you are no longer in Kansas.” When walking in the city a, avoid staring down at your phone. Always be aware of your surroundings and of the people around you. Avoid talking on the phone when walking around in the neighborhood. Don't leave anything visible in your car that can been seen from the street or sidewalk. Always lock your car and arm it with the alarm. Always remember to lock the apartment door even when you are home. Following these simple "street smart" rules will ensure a happy and safe visit.
Getting around

We have the RTA bus line as well as the RTA Train.

It may be easier to just call an Uber to visit downtown and drive and park in the neighborhoods. The bus or train would not be ideal to visitors unless you want to save the expense of using an Uber or Lyft.
Don't miss

Edgewater Park

If you want to see Lake Erie from a beach, check out Edgewater Park on the Westside of Cleveland. A 5 mile drive from Tremont. Just map it out on your phone and enjoy the sandy beach between your toes or walk the trail around the park. You can also enjoy a beer at the Edgewater Beach House or walk out to the Pier for a photo of the Cleveland skyline. For the cyclist who is staying with us, you can head north on the towpath and make it to the beach in 20 minutes or more, just follow the signs. We would be more than happy to explain how to get there.
