Farmer's market Tue/Thu/Sat. https://www.ferrybuildingmarketplace.com/farmers-market/ Some good shops and restaurants in the ferry building, as well. This is also a good place to start if you want to do the touristy trip to Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf. BART to Embarcadero, visit the Ferry Building, then take the F streetcar line to Fisherman's Wharf (also a nice walk if the weather is good). This is a better choice than the cable car most of the time, if you don't want to wait in a long queue at Powell Street.
