Sightseeing

This picturesque sandy beach is dotted with giant chalk stacks and backed by huge white cliffs, which hide a handful of smugglers’ caves. It's about a 15 minute drive from the house.

Bars & Pubs

This is our local and you couldn't ask for a better boozer! The Canadian owner is super friendly and very passionate about local craft beers and ales. It's also just been done up! Check it out on Instagram.

Food scene

This spot is truly special. Perhaps the most kooky restaurant I've ever been to, Royal Harbour Brasserie is right at the end of the pier and looks across the water. Even the view from the loo is great! They stock Belgian beers (I'll raise a stein to that!) and have a wonderful menu consisting of tasty seafood and seasonal specials. Also a good place for a roast dinner with views! Dog friendly, too.
