Lovely cosy atmosphere, lovely food and no need to book, although always busy. Great for evening meals or as a lunch stop whilst walking in Exmoor National Park. Dog friendly too.

Closest pub to us just a couple of minutes by car up the road at Blackmore Gate. Traditional pub fayre, generous portions and very friendly service. Great for families, has a play area and lots of animals to view close by.

Just up the road from us is this lovely National Trust property with an extensive estate with wilder areas that are great for dog walking. The house, carriage museum and tea rooms also provide plenty of other interest
