Drinks & Nightlife

One of my favorite first and/or last stops. Very much a neighborhood bar, but one where you can get a great classic cocktail. Russell is the barman I visit most and is usually there Thur/Fri/Sun.

Whisk(e)y & grilled cheese bar with a great, cozy vibe inside and an underrated outdoor space in the back. They offer seven different types of (very good) grilled cheese sandwiches until 4am every night.

Food Scene

Solid sit-down Mexican restaurant priced reasonably for the neighborhood. Food has always been legit. Service doesn't blow you away, but has never been bad. Probably the best option in the immediate vicinity and open pretty late.

Thai food that is good for takeout and/or delivery on a night in, but also nicely laid out if you want to sit down in the restaurant or bar. Food isn't going to blow you away, but it's priced well and usually satisfies a savory craving. Not a ton of Asian food that's close so this is your best option.

Best coffee in the neighborhood. Scott (the owner) is a great guy and the space is small but has smartly laid out seating and is very welcoming.

Essentials

Not quite a super-market but much better than a bodega and, most importantly, open 24 hours. Spend a lot of time here as most grocery stores in our neighborhood are closed earlier. Lots or organic options and decent produce. Essential.

Getting Around

We usually get on and off at the Graham street station, but this location is probably a touch closer. There is two high schools right next to it, which is why we prefer the Graham alternative.
