  • We had a great 2 night stay with Tess, the accommodation was very comfortable and Mango our dog loved having three little playdates to run around with too! Tess made us very welcome and we will definitely return.

  • Wow, what a beautiful little getaway. After our trip up the eastcoast we were so happy to have found this gem! Tess is a very professional, friendly host, who answered all our questions asap. The apartment itself feels very private, it's actually more beautiful than on the pictures, it's spotless clean and feels like home. We definitely liked all the decoration and the fully equipped kitchen, the breakfast provided and all the small details. The jacuzzi and the nice terrace made our stay unforgettable!

  • Hi tess, sorry for delay in feedback as have been in the outback without reception. We absolutely loved staying at your place and found it a real clean haven to explore from. Walked into and back from city to explore in under an hr. Thanks so much for being great hosts who made us aware u were willing to help but left us alone enough to enjoy our reunion. Amazing recommendations from us . Ed n Rowan xxx

  • It was great to be able to stay at Tess's at such short notice. It is a beautiful sanctuary. Immaculately kept, private & well stocked. Love the coffee & light in a jar.

  • What a little beauty! This place is amazing for a couple and their fur baby. Walking through the little rainforest you enter into a big open garden and there is the spa, deck and little 'shed' for two! Tess left amazing details prior to our arrival and we loved reading the house manual and learning about the history of the house and pets who current live there. Our little Boston Terrier LOVED exploring the yard. We will be back for sure! Exactly what we needed! Thank you for having us!

  • What a wonderful and relaxing stay. The house was a very short walk from the train that was a short ride from the airport. She had a fully stocked breakfast and coffee waiting for the next morning. So peaceful and we couldn't have been more pleased. Only wish we could have stayed longer!

  • My wife and I had a lovely stay. Kathy was very welcoming. We made the best of the beautiful scenery from our room every morning. The best way to enjoy your stay is to bring breakfast with you and look out onto the Gold Coast skyline from afar. You need a car to move around but the restaurants and cafes are a short drive away. Would recommend this getaway.

Lori gave us a lot of help, hand-painted the map to us, it is faster for us to find Bus station, bus to the city center and large shopping centers, very convenient, nearby supermarket restaurants are also available! I have already missed them! Looking forward to seeing again

Air conditioning, fans and the backyard pool make this a very enjoyable retreat in the Brisbane heat! It's central enough to walk to shops, cafes, buses and parks, yet quiet and secluded overlooking the garden and trees. Completely self contained with Richi and his family living upstairs. They are warm and welcoming hosts. Highly recommended!

Our Eco Cabin on South Stradbroke Island will be a holiday you won't forget. * Just a short ferry ride from the mainland of the Gold Coast * The island has some of the most amazing white sand beaches * Surf Club bar/restaurant * Large Lagoon pool * Infinity pool overlooking the bay * Multiple restaurants and cafes * Lots of activities for the kids Mini Golf Bicycle Tracks Basketball, Tennis, Volleyball, Golf Nets, Exercise Facilities, Lawn Bowls Kayaks & much much more!
Situated on one of the largest sand islands in the world, this unique Eco Cabin is designed to have minimal impact on the natural surrounds. It is nestled in the quite forests of Couran Cove on South Stradbroke Island. It is only a short walk or bicycle ride from the beautiful Couran Cove Island Resort marina or the secluded pristine white beaches. Take time to do absolutely nothing - or time to do everything as all resort facilities are included with your stay!
  • Our trip to Stradbroke Island was lovely, despite the rainy weather we encountered. Ryan's cabin was sweet , clean, and well appointed. Having bikes available was a bonus. Bikes are in varying states of need of repair, but we found 4 to suit our family. The resort itself is in recovery from better days. Most of the advertised equipment and activities are run down, so if your going for the resort experience (we weren't ) you may be disappointed . Take as much food as possible, as the cafe is overpriced for whats on offer. There is a small shop, but this wasn't well stocked and was expensive. We arrived after the school holiday season, so perhaps they were still restocking. The Island itself is beautiful..The absence of cars on the Island, made for a truly peaceful environment. Lots of wildlife, beautiful wild beaches and lots of bike tracks for adventuring. The cabin does back onto one of the Islands service areas, so there was a little bit of noise from the operations. This was minimal, but was probably noticeable only due to the otherwise totally peaceful environment. All in all, a fun, affordable family holiday.

    Elizabeth2015-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous time in this lovely 3 level cabin. It had so many beds to choose from and was very clean. Communication was quick and easy with Ryan and he even gave us a great holiday tips sheet helping us get there and what to do once on the island. What made it a cut above the rest was that it had games for all ages, cards, kids movies, condiments and best of all bikes for us to use.

    Cathy2016-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in Ryan's cabin. It was clean, comfortable, had all the things you need including some bikes to help you cruise around the island. It was exactly as described and everything that you need is there, which was excellent. We stayed from a Sunday to a Wednesday, which meant that we practically had the island to ourselves, it was so quiet and hardly anyone around which was awesome. The beach is beautiful, again, no one on the beach which was perfect. This probably won't bother most people, but if you're noise sensitive, it's good to be aware that the cabin is next to a water treatment facility and there was a very faint constant low and high pitched hum, more like background white noise. We look forward to exploring the island again!

    Sofia2015-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience at couran cove! Ryan was very accommodating as we booked on the day we checked in! The Eco lodge was great for a retreat and we loved riding the bikes around! It's a big walk from reception so I would suggest bringing bags/eskies with wheels etc. also bring as much food as you can as only 1 restaurant was open so choices were limited. We'll definitely go back!

    Joel2015-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • A great "get away" in natural surrounds. Heaps of bicycle and walking tracks and plenty of things to do to keep kids occupied and happy. Great pool and poolside bar and restaurant.

    Billy2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Ryan's place, his communication was great and detailed. Everything was as described. The addition of the bicycles was great and convenient.

    Gerald2015-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cabin. We had 11 people (12 one night) and fitted nicely. All bedding and towels were supplied. Nescafe coffee pod machine was great! Bikes were fantastic to have. Made getting around the island a breeze, even with 6 kids. You can rent a bike with kiddy trailer from the resort which was great. The kids playground is probably the worst spot for mozzies so we didn't end up using it but the pool and beach were fantastic! Insect repellent was supplied by the host, which was badly needed. Once we got used to making sure we had it on it was okay but I don't recommend going outside without it. Beaches are beautiful, resort has a poolside bar, fantastic! Kayaking and stand up paddle boarding is free & so much fun! Kids pool is fantastic, well designed for all ages. We had kids ranging in ages from 1 to 13 and there was something for everyone. lots of Free activities. Will go back again. Great value holiday. Highly recommended (just don't forget your insect repellent!).

  • Gale's place was modern, clean and cosy. Gale has thought of all the touches like biscuits to have with tea and chocolates. She had left some cereal and toast for us in the morning which was perfect to get us up and moving. It's not far from the main street in Tambourine and has plenty of privacy too.

    Jane2017-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Gale was so helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The cabin was perfect for two of us and we would definitely come back

  • Beautiful little place in a leafy location. Everything in there that you need and even a little something for breakfast. Can walk down to the Botanic Gardens around the corner which I highly recommend. Gale is lovely and welcoming, especially now knowing the little story about how this place came about!

    Kimie2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I had an enjoyable stay at this small but cosy and comfortable shack. We loved the small things such as the jucie food left in the fridge for breakfast, and the usb charging station left in the bedside table. It was a cold night but the extra blankets on the surprisingly large bed kept us warm; though a heater was available if we needed it. The shower was warm and decently pressured, with shampoo, conditioner and soap provided. The kitchenette was well stocked for make simple meals, including tea bags and a kettle to make a cuppa. The place is very secure in a quiet part on the mountain, close to the gorgeous botanical gardens. Off-street parking is provided with a car port large enough to fix most vehicles.

    Kevin2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic little cabin, with all you need for a quiet night or two away. Clean and cosy. Gale was brilliant. Simply greeted us warmly and showed us what we needed to know then slipped away and left us to enjoy the quiet we hoped for. Communication was quick. This place is perfect for anyone wanting the quiet of a sub-tropical rainforest environment, and yet only a few minutes drive away from Tamborines eateries/restaurants, supermarket, shops, servo, and quaint stores with artworks from all types of artisans. A great cabin and host, and a great town. Don't forget to visit the botanical gardens which is literally 3 to 5 mins walk from the cabin. A peaceful escape from city life. Enjoy!

  • The cottage is beautifully laid out, with a peaceful outlook. Arrival was easy and although Shea was away for most of the time we were staying, everything was readily available. We loved our stay here, it was very comfortable, we slept like babies and would certainly wish to stay again.

  • Only stayed overnight but wanted for nothing. I needed to be in Samford and it was so nice to have accommodation so close. The cottage is well designed and I could easily imagine staying much longer.

    Kevin2015-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We attended a wedding in the beautiful Samford and decided to stay 2 nights in the lovely apartment at Shea's. We were delighted with the charm and tranquility of the gorgeous property. Everything you could need was thought of and more. Beautiful touches that make a home were everwhere you looked. We adored it.

    Debbie2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Shea's place is a great base for a trip to Samford. The location is very picturesque on a lovely bush block and even though you are sharing the block with Shea's house, it's very private. Shea has thoughtfully appointed the studio with quality linen, stylish furnishings and great touches like beers, Nespresso machine, chocolate and snacks. The studio is a very short drive from Samford village. We stayed to attend a wedding and had no trouble getting an Uber to pick us up. Even though we only stayed for a night, Shea's studio would be suitable for a longer stay as it has a kitchen and air con. Shea's communication was great and overall we had a really pleasant, no fuss stay.

Nestled beside a lake on 500 picturesque acres at the base of Tamborine Mountain. Fully self-contained, two air conditioned bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, fridge, flat screen TV, DVD player.
The Spiddal cottage is located beside a lake at the end of Yore Road on the 500 acre Spiddal property at the base of Tamborine Mountain. Fully self-contained, two air conditioned bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, fridge, flat screen TV, DVD player. The cottage sleeps six (master bedroom has a double bed, and second bedroom has 4 bunk beds). Beautifully appointed with yester-year country decor, it blends with the surrounds and will complete your country escape. Take a step back in time at the Cottage. There's so much to do, and nothing to do here where the stars twinkle brighter at night and city noise is a distant memory. Relax and enjoy the misty mornings and warm afternoons on the jetty. The lake offers so much more than a tranquil backdrop where you can row the tinny out for a spot of fishing (bass, yellow belly, catfish just to name a few) or take the kayaks out for a paddle. Take a stroll down to the Albert River for a picnic, play some golf rough 4 hole course or tennis (full size court), fly a kite, there is plenty of room for the kids to run, bring your push bikes or just take time out to revitalise. There are 5 houses on the property plus 2 workers donga's. The farmstay cottage was built approximately 1880 and has been restored to original condition. The farm has 4 klms of all weather roads throughout which are sign posted. Visitors may view livestock (cattle and horses) by driving along the extraction road. Please stay in your vehicle and on the all weather road. Spiddal was originally settled by Michael and Anne Yore (nee Ryan) in 1865. Both Michael and Anne emigrated from Ireland as a result of the potato famine and uprising at that time. Anne sailing on the Erin-Go-Bragh (Ireland forever) in 1862 and Michael on the Fiery Star in 1863. On Michael's death in 1912 the farm passed to the youngest son Andrew Thomas who died at a young age of 33 in 1916. The Spiddal property was then held in trust until his son Thomas Patrick (TP) became of age in 1935. In 1966 TP transferred title of the property to the present owner Thomas John (TJ). Tom's son Denis 5th generation resides on the property and assists with the running of the farm. From settlement in 1865 the farm has been used for Primary production mainly dairying, pigs, hay and grain activities. After dairying ceased in 1970 the property has been producing beef cattle, turf and hay. Irrigation is a major activity on the farm with 4 electric pumps connected to 5 klms of underground mainline allowing the entire farm to be irrigated. On farm storage dam's 1 x 6 acre and a second 16 acre surface area have virtually drought proofed the property. In 1982 an Extractive Industry permit (mining) was obtained from local Council. In 2013 the Queensland Government Mining Department placed a Key Resource Area condition over the Spiddal property ie. mining over virtually all of the property. TJ had this area reduced significantly to approximately 130 acres thus leaving the property not sterile after mining which is estimated to continue for approximately 75 years. The resulting void from sand mining will be used as a water reservoir for primary production for future generations. The original Inhabators occuping the Tamborine area were the Wangerriburra Native tribe. They lived in peace with all the tribes adjacent to their own area. More importantly they were prepared to be friendly to the white man in the early stages of development, with respect shown by all. After continuing contact with the white man the tribe became commonly known as the Albert tribe.
  • Michaela was very accommodating with check in and was friendly and easy to communicate with. The cottage was quaint but had all the facilities we needed. Only a bbq to cook with and tank water for drinking but that added to the experience. There was so much to do and explore both in and out of the cottage. So many antique furnishings and the old books and ornaments were interesting. It was a shame we weren't able to stay longer and experience more of what there was on offer.

    Rebecca2016-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at the cottage. Super charming, beautiful location and so peaceful. I can't wait to come back. Thank you.

  • An incredibly picturesque little historical farm house. We felt as though we were a million miles from anywhere, but much to the kids joy, there is a Maccas five minutes away. The cottage is just as pictured. Very cute on the outside, very “authentic” on the inside. At first I found the inside to be a little daunting. It is quite dark and very rustic. The dam water is an issue. It is a bit smelly and brown. The drinking water comes from a tap on the floor and has wrigglies and debris in it. Not to worry - right next to the Maccas is a massive Coles and we bought two five litre kegs of water which did the job nicely. After a while we got used to showering and washing our clothes in the dam water and it was surprisingly refreshing! There are plenty of activities - tennis, golf, fishing, boating right on the doorstep. Local tourist attractions include Cedar Creek Falls and glow worm cave. The beauty of the place kept surprising us. One morning I woke to see hot air balloons floating outside the window, and a pelican on the lake. There are all manner of birds singing to you all day. Turtles pop their heads out of the lake and then scurry away. Butterflies everywhere. Even the massive green frog that scared the daylights out of me when it flopped down behind me on the verandah one night was kind of cute. At night there are a lot of bugs but not much can be done about that. The cottage is well equipped, but the fridge doesn’t seem to work that well (butter is soft, drinks not really cold etc) although it kept our food fresh enough for the three days we were there. Tom the farmer dropped by a couple of times to see if we were ok. Three days was enough time here to really soak in the beauty and get a grasp on what it might’ve been like to be alive 100years ago (with air conditioning :) ).

  • I've stayed at Sharon's a few times and Sharon has always been lovely and accomodating, communication is quick and easy. The place is close to the airport with easy access to the city. The unit has all the essentials and is always clean and tidy. Highly recommended

  • Thought of everything and it is such a cute place! Thank you for the assistance with my luggage!

  • Sharon's place is small but ideal for an overnight stay close to Brisbane airport. The self-check-in is very convenient.

  • Nice little place, small but great for a short stay.

  • Sharon's place is great! It's extremely clean and is great for two people. I loved how cozy it was and how close it is to the city without the loud noises and terrible parking. Her place had plenty of street parking. The kitchen was equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, anything you'd really need for a short stay. I'd definitely call it a cozy tiny home wtih a great location.

    Brenda2018-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place with a great service. Would highly recommend.

    Tegan2017-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Communication with Sharon was very easy and check in was smooth without issue. The place is very compact, although suitable for my purposes as a single traveler. Everything required for cooking etc is provided for, as well as hanging space and amenities such as wifi and TV. The airconditioner is very noisy so you may wish to bring light pajamas or pack some earplugs. Sharon was very personable and hospitable and the cleanliness of the cabin was a definite plus. Quiet nieghbourhood. I had my own car which I was able to park safely on the street. Close drive to city and airport. Unable to comment on public transport as I had my own vehicle. Overall, a hassle free stay at a reasonable nightly rate.

Spring has come with a rush. The magnolia barely had time to flower before new lime-green leafage shaded the garden table. It's been a tad dry so the garden has been mulched up but still plenty of activity as the roses come back to life. Treat yourself to a mountain weekend of peace and tranquility. The cabin is small; one room with a separate ensuite but it has all you'll need. Check out the reviews and photos. A warm welcome awaits you.
Only 50 mins from the CBD . You'll start to unwind as you begin to climb through the tall old rainforest trees. From your cabin, see the city lights twinkling in the distance with your view over the rainforest to Moreton Bay and the islands - it feels like the rush and bustle is miles away. Have a glass of wine on the verandah while you cook your dinner on the BBQ. The cabin is small and cosy, with a kitchenette, sofa and a comfy double bed, with quality fresh linen. There's a fan and the library is a cool spot for you to relax or watch the birds in the bird bath undere the pergola.
It's peaceful watching the light fade over the forest as the evening comes in, listening to the birds' last calls as they head home. Mt Glorious is a small village; only a couple of hundred residents who care about their special environment. I ask you to respect the peace and quiet too. There's a couple of weekend options for cafes but they close mid/late afternoon. There are no shops so bring any provisions you need with you although you can pop down to Samford Village - the nearest shopping centre (about 20klms) which has a good range of cafes, arts and crafts, an IGA and couple of bottle shops - oh, and a service station. I usually keep a 10 litre petrol can in case of emergencies.
  • Bev made us feel at home straight away. Spoilt us with milk, eggs, bread for toast and various other bits and pieces. The garden and view is stunning. She invited us to help ourselves to the citrus fruit and the veggie garden. The listing was very accurate. We had everything we needed. Bev was a wonderful host, and when we just wanted to "hang" she left us to our own devices.

    Jos2015-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Beverley's place! A great spot for escaping Brisbane for the weekend, and we'll definitely be back. Bev was kind enough to allow us to bring our little dogs, who had a great time in her garden and playing with her own dear dog. The cabin is neat and clean, with a very comfortable bed and a kitchenette that has been thoughtfully equipped. The porch was fantastic for bird watching in Bev's gorgeous garden, reading, and chilling out. It is a delightfully relaxing place, and Beverley is a wonderful host - very communicative, very helpful, warmly hospitable (thanks again for the delicious morning tea treat!), but also careful to give you your privacy. That's a hard balance to strike but I think Bev gets it exactly right.

  • cute and cosy cabin with a beautiful view. Beverly is a lovely host who makes you feel right at home. Loved our stay thankyou

  • This place is more than just an accommodation. The charming garden with blooming flowers and orange trees, the magnificent views overlooking the coast and the ultimate peacefulness - that's the experience my wife and I got when spending our weekend in Mt Glorious. Thanks Beverley for creating such a nice romantic spot and keeping it in a perfect state!

    Slava2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a gem- so incredibly tranquil, the little shed is cozy and warm and Beverley's attention to detail will ensure your stay is perfect. She baked us the most delicious fruit loaf and stocked our fridge with the best orange marmalade in the world. The garden was gorgeous and full of beautiful flora and fauna, there's very efficient kitchen supplies and Beverley herself was the best host. She tells you everything you need to know, is always there if you need something and even helped us out big time when the power went out (was very windy that day- but made for a charming glamping experience). Thanks Beverly!!

  • This place is very rustic and quiet with a lovely comfy bed, but that is as far as it goes. We were disappointed with the cleanliness and the lack of eye to detail e.g a full gas bottle for cooker and general cleanliness of crockery and cooking implements.

This cabin is located in central West End. It’s bright, with white walls, high ceiling and oak floors. Free parking behind the house. It is a very clean house for the minimalist who enjoys staying centrally and wants an entire space to him/herself. All bathroom emenities offered. Bose Bluetooth speakers, candles, linen, towels etc. Full V60 coffee kit available, including a fresh batch of roasted coffee.
Parking offered behind the house which can be extended after check out hrs. Super central, I offer a tranquil space for the young traveler. It’s always neat and clean but can get a little chilli in the winter and hot in the days so pack accordingly. West end is a very vibrant neighbourhood which can get a little loud in the weekends. All walks of life live in this very safe neighbourhood. I have two doors to access the house with which both have double locks. Bike, and yoga mats avaliable upon request.
West End is filled with gorgeous restaurants and cafes. Here are my personal favourites and all within walking distance. Best Coffee: Blackstar, also located on Thomas street. Small axe( also owned by Blackstar). Best breakfast: West End Coffee House. Literally around the corner. Great local roaster Fonzie Abbot literally next door for a great little coffee- Who shot the barista. Plenty. Sol bakery. Best lunch: Morning After. 2min walk. Best grocery store: The Stores (next to small axe). Best markets: Saturday morning markets in Davis Park. Sunday Vegan markets on boundary st. Best restaurant: Luna Pizza or Caravanseri for a relaxed but delicious Turkish meals. There are multiple Yoga studios in West end, I recommend ASMY. Other activities such as as rock climbing, rowing, Tennis and Swimming at Montague Swimming Pool. Enjoy the coziest neighbourhood in Brisbane! West End is a vibrant neighbourhood, which can get a little loud on the weekends.
  • A super cute little cottage with some perfect little details in the coffee and plants. In a super convenient position too.

  • Super cute little cottage style space. Awesome location with surrounding cafes, restaurants and other goods. Great coffee stop literally next door. We stayed on a Sunday night with our 6mth old and although there was evening hustle and bustle he still managed to sleep well and not be disrupted. It is a very central busy spot though so make sure your ok with that sort of accomodation/environment. Dani was also super sweet, accomodating and easy to communicate with. Thanks again

  • Only stayed one night. Super tidy and comfy bed! The place is close to shops and cafes but can get a bit noisy as you’re close to roads and the neighbours next door! Nothing too worrying but good to be aware of. Danielle is super quick at responding and easy to communicate with!

  • A review from me would not be helpful in promotion of this premise. I would only say that do not stay here when it is cold or windy, the cracks in the floor boards & very old louvre windows & no heating, would not make a stay here at all enjoyable.

Straddie Shack 18 is a private cabin in an eco resort with access to pool, gym, cafe & private parking. The beautiful 1.5 km stretch of Home Beach is a 1 minute walk from the cabin. We have welcomed guests for years with many repeat visitors. The cabin has a loft bedroom with a queen size bed and also a sofa bed, two single floor mattresses and a portable cot. The cabin is air conditioned and has Foxtel and free to air TV channels. The cabin has clean linen, towels for 2 people, and many extras.
The cabin is fully self contained and has its own natural green screening around the rear deck. You can have it wide open or pull all the roller blinds; either way you are unlikely to see any neighbours except wildlife. Point Lookout has both eastern and northern facing beaches and inland lakes. There are always options in variable weather conditions. If one beach is blown out - just move around the corner to another beach.
The resort has 40 loft shacks and 40 multi-bedroom villas. Although the neighbours are close, you rarely hear them. The island has a mix of locals and holiday makers. The feeling of "Island Time" definitely applies to Stradbroke.
  • The host canceled this reservation 52 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Anthony2017-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome location, comfortable and equipped with everything you need for your stay, all you need to bring is your clothes and food.....the cabin has everything else. I have stayed in this cabin a couple of times now and it's always very clean and the resort is so quiet, at times you think you must be the only ppl there....along with all the wildlife. I can't wait to go back.

    Jaime2017-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Ideal for 2 people. All the comforts of home. Close to beach. Great deck looking onto bush.

    Anne2017-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • The location was awesome - right across the road from the beach and not far to drive into the main part of Point Lookout. Swimming pool was a lovely extra coming back from the beach. The time of year was great - February - I can imagine the resort would be very busy at peak times (the swimming pool and general traffic). The range for my Optus phone was useless unless I drove up the hill to the pub or thereabouts. I could get the odd bar down at the beach. My partner's Telstra phone was usable in the house. The villa is small but satisfies most needs - very private considering it is in a resort - lots of trees and birds between us and anyone else. Good having the Chillers Cafe right there on the doorstep for coffee, wine and the french bakery.

    Donna2018-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cabin. Loved the bush around it and beach across the road. My son loved the pool. Cafe right there opens early for coffee which was a bonus.

  • Harry and Robyn were super fast in getting my booking confirmed and had lots of helpful advice for anything I asked. The apartment is in a great position opposite a beautiful beach (great for kids with a estuary at the northern end), linked to the bus and has a great cafe downstairs with fresh bread in the mornings and pizza at night (as well as other cafe fare). We loved the lawn bowls too.

House with separate studio flat on one acre. Acreage both sides so very quiet neighbourhood. Studio flat basic but clean and cosy. Private flat containing queen bed, lounge, TV, DVD, microwave, fan, heater, fridge and wardrobe . Bathroom contains shower, toilet, sink and washing machine. Kettle, toaster, coffee plunger, crockery, cutlery, microwave bowls and heater provided as well as linen, towels and blankets. Also supplied is fresh milk, tea, coffee, sugar, spreads and bread for breakfast.
The flat has its own entrance and lockable doors so you have your own privacy and are able to come and go as you please. The bed and lounge are in the one space with a dividing sliding door to the bathroom.
All the homes in my area are on an acre so the neighbourhood is very quiet. There are no street lights so the evenings are dark outside but this also means the night sky is beautiful. There is much to do on Tamborine Mountain - national parks, wineries, shopping, markets, restaurants. The days are clear and crisp but the nights do get cold in the winter. There are not a lot of restaurants open in the evening so it is advisable to book dinner reservations in advance. Restaurants generally close early also and last orders no later than 8pm.
  • Nice Littl quiet place

    Nathan2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sue has a splendid home at Tamborine Mountain. It has a great location, being a short drive away from scenic lookout points, shops, restaurants and the Glow Worm Cave which is a must-see. There were great amenities and the place was very cosy. Sue had also thoughtfully provided a guidebook to the mountain which tells you where to visit and which restaurants to eat at. I especially liked her dog Sailor and Jack the cat who are very friendly and ask for pats. I would strongly recommend staying at Sue's place if you wish for a peaceful, affordable and pleasant stay on Tamborine Mountain.

    Guo Wei2017-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at sue's place was great. Cosy, bed comfy, private yet close to gallery walk and waterfalls. They even let us use their fire pit to relax privately by the fire each night. Great value, great location, great hosts = Great time.

    Karen2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • It was a little bit difficult to find but when we arrived it was worth it. It's like your own tiny house (without a kitchen) but it has a toaster and a refrigerator and its just a five minutes drive away from different restaurants. We could park our car on the property and we enjoyed it that it was so quiet and peaceful. Sue wrote us before that we should arrive as long as its bright outside and it was a really good advice. You need to know the surroundings if you drive through the mountains at night. The accommodation was clean, good stuffed, had a TV and DVD-Player (even a few movies), it had a comfortable couch and so was the bed. We felt a little bit like coming home and would go there definitely again.

    Katharina2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Sue is a very friendly host and communication is great. This is a self contained unit on the premises and Sue is available to answer any questions. It was great to have a washing machine and powder is provided. Bread,Jams, tea and coffee including plunge coffee is provided. The pets on the property are wrll behaved and caused us no problems at all. There's lots of lovely walks in the area.

Your cabin is an elevated inner-city oasis embraced by trees and palms. Walking distance to shops, ferry, buses, restaurants, movie theatres. A variety of bird calls will serenade your early morning coffee. This unique space is self contained, including the following: bar fridge, tea coffee, coffee machine, microwave, toaster. Whilst the bedroom has a vanity basin only, there are dishwashing facilities in your laundry. However as your host, we can help if we are home.

  • Jude and Daniell are exceptional hosts! We had nothing short of an amazing time in their poolside cabin in the trendy suburb of Hawthorne. There were thoughtful touches through the cabin, and even though we could only stay 1 x night we felt relaxed and refreshed afterwards! The pool is fantastic, bed linen and amenities clean and comfortable, all with a unique twist. Jude and Daniell made us feel very welcome and gave us useful tips on the must dos in the area. All this plus a total bang for your buck, we will definitely be back! Thanks so much Jude and Daniell!

  • Jude and Daniell have a lovely cabin in a safe and scenic part of Brisbane. Transport is easy from the location to the CBD. Both Jude and Daniell were welcoming and thoughtful during our stay. The room itself is a nice, neat and small building that is more than suitable for those that look to be out in in wider Brisbane regularly. I look forward to the next time I am in Brisbane so I can stay in the same location.

  • Lovely stay in a perfect location for us. We had booked a concert & dinner over the river and only had to walk a few mins to the wharf to catch the CityCat which literally took 5 mins upriver to Teneriffe where there were multiple quality restaurants and our concert venue. Easy access to the CBD & Valley also and in a trendy, quiet and leafy suburb. Lots of nice little touches and the hosts, Danniell & Jude, were really lovely and thoughtful. We slept cosy & comfortable and in the morning had a coffee from the coffee machine, looking out over the pool. Then we drove to the next suburb over to Oxford Street, Bulimba and had an amazing brunch. Thank you! We will definitely return for another city adventure.

Relax in our studio situated on a rural property between Brisbane and Gold Coast. Quiet surrounds, plenty of bird life and other occasional wildlife. The studio is away from the main residence and consists of a spacious room plus bedroom, shower, amenities, kitchenette and BBQ on patio overlooking tropical garden & spa. Petra is fluent in German and Italian as well as English. Gary is fluent in English.
The studio consists of a large room with lounge , dining and kitchen, a separate bedroom and a separate bathroom. There is an outdoor covered patio with BBQ. Cooking facilities include microwave oven, undercover 4 burner BBQ with separate wok burner, and electric frying pan. There is a night/day lounge which can be converted for extra persons and a small convertible lounge suitable for children. A basic gym is available free for guest use. A race car simulator is also available at a small fee.
The Logan Village area is certainly horse country and apart from a few dense housing estates , the area is rural properties. We have access to basic shopping such as supermarkets, fuel , bakeries, takeaways, pharmacies, and hotels(pubs). There are also an array of restaurants in a 30-40 minute radius.
  • What a lovely welcoming couple. A lovely place to stay. We had to attend a wedding so didn't get to fully enjoy all that was offered.

    Lyn2017-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had the pleasure of experiencing an acreage lifestyle while staying with Petra and Gary. We really enjoyed the tastefully decorated self-contained studio (red theme) with outdoor cooking facilities, lovely swinging chairs and ample seating space. Petra and Garry were very friendly and gave us a tour of the grounds, showed us their chickens, beautiful gardens and spa which Gary constructed himself. We appreciated the small touches Petra and Gary did which made our stay very comfortable such as amenities like towels, toiletries and the chocolates on the bed. They also provided breakfast cereals, milk, English muffins and we had the privilege of trying Petra’s homemade Rozelle jam. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and would consider booking this Airbnb for a short term stay.

  • Lovely location and great hosts. We stayed for a month while our home was being renovated, and everything was comfortable, all mod cons available but with a charming country setting. Peaceful and yet just a few minutes from shops & a great cafe/nursery down the road. Easy driving distance from the Gold Coast, Brisbane and the south coast hinterland. Would recommend to anyone, with Gary & Petra very friendly & helpful & generously going the extra mile for their guests. Jenny & Ken

We enjoyed every minute of our stay and every thing was just perfect we especially enjoyed Petra's home made jam and muffins that she left for us every night we arrived back after our days out. • Fantastic little cottage with all necessities & more in a lovely secluded space but close to shops, cafes/restaurants, cinema, clubs, motorways etc. Sparkling clean, very comfortable accommodation with a host that is thoughtful, very kind & quick to respond to every request we put to her. Thank you Angela, we felt right at home.

  • Angela couldn't be kinder or more thoughtful. Everything from check-in on was easy and so helpful. I would definitely recommend this Airbnb in Goodna.

    Elizabeth2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Angela & Chris were lovely hosts and we very much enjoyed their little cabin. It was quiet and private. It had absolutely everything you could ever want and was cosy and inviting. We especially loved their very friendly cat Dot who greeted us each morning and was waiting outside when we got home! We were staying for a concert in nearby Ipswich so cannot comment much on Goodna but Angela's place was convenient to shops & everything we needed. Thanks for having us!!

    Kim2017-03-27T00:00:00Z

It's location within a short walk of the train station, makes it very convenient, and despite this, it is quiet. Angela and Chris are also very nice people, so we can highly recommend their cottage.

The Bush Studio is a unique one room tranquil retreat. Located in Armstrong Creek, 7 minutes from Dayboro township. It's off-grid with camping style amenities. Enjoy a natural, peaceful setting in the Australian bush with abundant wildlife. The Bush Studio is ideal for a cosy weekend or a longer stay for those that enjoy living simply!
The Bush Studio is definitely for nature lovers. Nestled amongst hills and Eucalyptus trees its a perfect getaway from the rat race. It has a comfortable one room bedroom. Outside is a BBQ and dining area and on the other side of the studio is an outdoor shower and toilet. The Bush Studio is ideal for couples wanting a weekend away, visitors who would like to spend some time in the Australian bush, those travelling through the region, or artists who might like some solitude. You will need to bring toiletries and any food you would like in an esky. The Dayboro township is a short drive away for cafes and supplies. Armstrong Creek sits between a number of Queensland's best mountain drives- (Mt Mee, Mt Glorious), Lake Samsonvale and many walking tracks. Local wildlife guides and binoculars are provided. So is a picnic hamper for those wanting to do day trips. Just fill up with items at the local township.
  • Niki and Paddy have the most serene, peaceful and relaxing glamping cabin in Qld! Highly recommend spending as much time as you can soaking up the gorgeous surrounding bush, being sung to sleep by more native birds calls than you can count, driving through the amazing rolling hills of Dayboro and Mt Mee and indulging in delicious fresh laid eggs! 5/5, thank you Niki and Paddy for a perfect weekend.

  • Very quite

    Francis2018-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Niki’s place was so easy to find and wonderful assistance on arrival. Throughout the stay I continually found well thought out supplies in the room. There was a stunning storm overnight which did hamper the use of the bathroom though!! Not just accommodation but a cool experience.

    Amanda2018-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • NIKE AND PADDY WERE ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL HOSTS. THE COTTAGE IN THE BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY WAS DELIGHT TO BE IN WITH EVERY LITTLE DETAIL PERFECT IN PLACE. THE DESIGN WAS REALLY NICE, CLEAN AND SIMPLE AND THE PERFECT ENVIRONMENT FOR A SEMI CAMP TRIP. PADDY AND NIKI WERE LOVELY - NIKI EVEN WENT TO THE TROUBLE OF DELIVERING SOME FRESH EGGS AND HERBS FOR DINNER AND PADDY DELIVERED EXTRA FIREWOOD. IT WAS A REALLY LOVELY STAY WITH LOVELY PEOPLE IN A LOVELY PART OF THE WORLD. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO GET AWAY FROM IT ALL AND FIND PERFECT PEACE.

    Ma2018-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely beautiful studio and peaceful surrounds. The perfect place to recharge and unwind. The studio itself is beautifully designed and furnished and has thoughtful, finishing touches. We highly recommend this place, especially for people travelling with dogs (our labradoodle loved it!) We look forward to our next visit in the future.

    Zach2018-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Escape the chaos of the city with a stay in this idilic little cabin. All amenities are well thought out to provide you with a comfortable and relaxing stay. Niki and Paddy are fantastic hosts offering complete privacy on their beautiful patch of bush. Perfect spot for watching the wildlife and stargazing through the trees. Get away from it all where your only concern is not burning the sausages.

    Rebecca2018-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing retreat space! It's tucked away in the Eucalyptus forest, well away from the host's residence, so it's completely quiet and private. Like camping, with an outdoor shower and an open fire, but you get a beautiful cabin that has everything you need. Niki and Paddy have lived in the area for years. They were super helpful and friendly, giving me ideas for exploring the local village Dayboro, Mount Glorious and Mount Nebo. Totally recommended for a break away from the city.

Beautiful studio apartment. Historic Fernvale Sawmill office relocated by us to our peaceful acreage property in the hills behind Fernvale, Vernor District. Once owned by a prominent Brisbane Valley family, we thought it gorgeous and historic enough to undertake the relocation. Located 4 minutes from the township of Fernvale and the iconic bakery; 7 minutes to Wivenhoe Dam; 1 minute down the hill to the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and at the gateway to the beautiful Somerset region.
Under 1 hours drive from Brisbane and 25 minutes to Ipswich. Halfway between Brisbane and Toowoomba and easy access to the north, with a beautiful scenic drive through the Brisbane Valley, and south coasts.
Fernvale township hosts a number of cafes and pubs which do meals. Cormorant Bay at Wivenhoe Dam has a cafe with wonderful views and picnic and bbq areas and is at the southern end of the dam which extends all the way to Somerset Dam in the northern Somerset region. Both dams offer excellent swimming, fishing and boating opportunities. Other townships in the region are Esk, Toogoolawah, Lowood and Kilcoy each of which offer country charm and amenities. Fernvale township has a huge weekly Sunday market at the local primary school and Woolies is available for all your other shopping needs.
  • Wow! What an amazing little space. Very stylish, we loved the decor, history and little touches. The short and deep bath was wonderful for rejuvenating after a long day. We had a great nights rest and the breakfast was superb, setting us up for a big day ahead. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality, we loved celebrating our wedding anniversary here and we'll definitely be staying at Sawmill Cottage again. 5 Star Accomodation!

    Tash2018-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot recommend this cottage and the hosts more highly. There were some lovely touches, very comfortable bed and fabulous sleep. Breakfast was appreciated, as was being able to leave my car in a safe place while riding the BVRT. The cottage is only about a 2 minute ride from the trail, just outside of Fernvale. Being able to leave the car there, then being offered a shower upon my return was such a relief! Totally recommend to everyone but especially trail riders!

    Gai2018-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a relaxing evening in Greg's comfortable little cottage. We were impressed with the extra little touches, such as champagne! Keen walkers, bike and horse riders will appreciate the convenience of the cottage's location in respect to proximity to the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, as we did. Lunch at the Cormorant Bay café on Lake Wivenhoe is a must! A very enjoyable country escape, less than an hour away from Brisbane!

  • Greg and Crissie have provided a magic little retreat in the form of the Sawmill Cottage. A wonderfully comfortable and quaint cottage with everything you'd want for a getaway. The complimentary bottle of bubbles was a lovely touch and set the tone for a relaxing stay. Thank you, 5 stars.

It was such a lovely little cottage, my favourite part was waking up to silence. It is so peaceful you get a great nights sleep. The cottage was clean and tidy, bed comfy, the soaps etc were all lovely and Greg & Chrissie were lovely and so accommodating.

Great communication from the hosts and management. This was my first time using Airbnb and based on this experience, will definitely be using again!

    Jessica2018-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place was very handy to everything we wanted to be close to. The place was spotless clean and easy to get to. One thing that would have been nice to have was basics like salt and pepper and oil for cooking. It is completely empty and sometimes a little sterile. If you are looking for practicality this is a good option. If you are looking for warm and homely touches this might not be for you.

    Cigdem2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little shack in amongst a clump of little cottages, though feels very private. Super short walk across the road to the beach!

    Max2017-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Shack 2 is great accommodation. It is in a good location in the Allure Resort and Home Beach is straight over the road. The restaurant in the Resort is one of the better ones on the island for both meals and coffee. The accommodation is very simple but that suited us. It's worth being aware that the bowls club next door can get a little noisy at night although it didn't bother us a great deal and certainly wouldn't stop us visiting again or recommending staying here. Big thanks to Gary and Madonna for providing us with accommodation, we really enjoyed our visit to North Stradbroke Island!

  • If you are looking for a quiet country break in beautiful surroundings then this is the place. Gary and Claire have a beautiful property and the bnb accommodation, whilst separate from the main home, is a large self-contained cottage with everything you could wish for. It has homely touches such as a great selection of books, some videos and so on. The stunning scenic rim view of the ranges is unimpeded from the property. Hosts, Gary and Claire, are friendly, helpful hosts and allow you as much privacy as you wish while still being up for a chat when it suits all. Breakfast and tea/coffee supplies were ample and good quality. This bnb is great value. We stayed the night before in a country town motel with the most basic facilities for exactly the same price as this special bnb. Thanks for sharing your beautiful property with us Claire and Gary.

  • This is a fabulous home away from home. Gary and Claire make you feel welcome from the minute you arrive. Claire left a fresh breakfast for us to cook in the morning and even provided a tour of their amazing gardens. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at ease. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending or visiting again.

    Sara2016-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • The Woodman’s Cottage is a lovely place with a gorgeous view. Gary and Claire were very welcoming and accommodating, even with our two dogs. The room was immaculately clean and well prepared, with lots of little touches (beautiful soaps, fresh strawberries) to welcome us. The view of the sunset, looking out over fields and mountains, was spectacular. We very much enjoyed our stay... it was just a shame it wasn’t for longer! Thank you so much. x

    Thomas2017-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I stayed at Claire and Gary's for a week while we waited for a new house in Brisbane to be ready to move into. We had a fantastic stay with our two mini dachshunds. It's such a beautiful location, the scenery is just stunning! The cottage is beautifully fitted out and more than met our requirements. Claire and Gary were so helpful with anything we needed, going out of their way to accommodate our puppies - even when they tried to escape! Highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a peaceful and private getaway.

    Sophie2017-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Clare and Gary were very hospitable and friendly during g our stay. Lovely cottage on a picturesque farm. All comfort able amenities including a hot breakfast of bacon and eggs. Highly recommended!

    Glenys2018-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Gary and Claire are great host and all the goodies were supplied with good quality. They gave us a lot of privacy and show us around their garden. The actual scene is so much better than the photos. It is highly recommended to anyone that is looking for a romantic short get away on the weekend. Definitely a memorable trip!

  • A awesome resort and fun filled experience. Many Thanks

    Lee2015-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely peaceful getaway. A bit of a hike to the main activities and reception so be sure to pack light or at least use luggage with wheels. Lots to do at the resort and kept the kids busy and sleeping well! The open plan space sleeps 6 comfortably and it's great being self contained. The cabin is well screened to protect from the mosquitoes but certainly bring your spray for the walking tracks.

    Donna2017-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay at Luke's cabin. There is plenty to do there and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Everything you need is there and it's absolutely perfect for some time away. Luke was easy to communicate with and happy to answer any questions I had. I'm already planning another trip!

    Josh2016-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is fantastic value for money! Set in a tranquil bush setting with a very relaxed island feel, it has all the facilities you need plus more. It's worth paying an extra $20 each way on the ferry to bring a bike if you're staying a week, but can also rent bikes there. Bikes definitely make getting around easier than walking. Luke was a great host. Everything was easy, he even offered us an extra night as there was none else checking in. Thanks heaps Luke! We will return.

    Kerry2015-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Rustic, close to nature and peaceful - highly recommended for an island getaway that feels far yet is close. Spacious and well- equipped while ideally located to the beach and resort by bicycle. Catch Steve's water taxi and check in before dark for delivery to the door by resort. Luke is a communicative and helpful host - thank you!

    Sharon2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Check that's it's been cleaned

  • Luke was easy to communicate with, and was very accommodating to a stupid mistake I made when booking. His studio cabin has two queen beds and a double loft bed which easily accommodated our tribe (1 adult 4 kids). Great modern TV.

Our cabin accommodates 2 people. There is a comfortable lounge room with television and a separate bedroom with a queen size bed. There is a verandah to sit on at the table and chairs and take in the mountain air. The cabin has a bathroom and a small kitchenette. The kitchenette is complete with bar fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and tea and coffee facilities. All crockery and cutlery as well. Smoking is not permitted inside the cabins.
The cabins are set on a large property which was previously a school camp. Our family bought the property to move our honey packing business, BUSH HONEY, which required more space. It was a much added bonus to have these cabins to share with people. We are lucky enough to have the local wildlife come for a visit also. Ocean View is home to Red-necked wallabies and they are often grazing around the cabins. As we run a functioning business within the property, we ask that visitors please stay within the vicinity of your cabin. However, you can purchase our Bush Honey here, with an honesty basket within the cabins. Honey is a perfect gift for anyone! Or for yourself as a momento of where you stayed. Come and stay with us. Great for couples on a country drive or attending a wedding in the area.
Ocean View is such a beautiful part of the world. There is an abundance of wildlife. Crisp, clean country air. Further up the mountain, at Mt Mee, there is a lookout. Great for a photo opportunity. National parks, restaurants and shops are close by also.
  • Elizabeth was so helpful and accommodating. We booked in at the last minute after finding our accommodation had been double booked and we had no where to stay. The little cabin was very clean and comfortable. It has no views and seems to be set in a industrial working site but it's peaceful, extremely quiet and adequate for anyone going up Mt Mee for walking or cycling. The bed was comfortable and the little gift of honey was just wonderful. Thank you Elizabeth

    Christine2018-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, warm and comfortable. Just right for our stay after attending a nearby wedding. The honey was a nice touch to take home too. Great communication from the host made it easy to find.

  • Do yourself a favour and stay here! Location is excellent...close to the GC and Brisbane but secluded! Total privacy. Beaut winery 900m away. Lots of wildlife viewing and a chorus of birds really encourages you to relax. Decor is fresh and modern. The cabin has everything you need. Kathy and Jeremy were great. Always quick with communication and very hospitable. P.s the breakfast basket was a superb touch. We’ll be back!

  • I am not one to Write reviews but this property is definitely worth a review. 5 star all the way The location was Awesome hosts were amazing and we had such a relaxing time. The complementary breakfest basket was the icing on the cake. I will definitely be back as it was one of the most relaxing times I have had in a while just what the doctor ordered.

  • Kathy and Jeremy's cabin is in a great location close to the Green Montains and nearby wineries. The cabin is brand new, sparkling clean and has beautiful views of Canungra Valley. We were even greeted by some local wallabies on arrival!

    Rebecca2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy's cabins was beautiful, the view was amazing and so much better than expected. We only stayed for one night as we needed accommodation for a wedding close by, my only regret is not booking a longer stay as I could easily have spent the whole weekend! The cabin was very neat, tidy and extremely clean. Definitely would recommend for a quiet relaxing weekend getaway!

  • Great spot, fantastic cabin

  • A lovely getaway in the forest. The cabin was clean and tidy and as described. The location is perfect with the relaxation of the forest and beach close by and the resort facilities within a short walk.

  • Was great, facilites were great for us , kids had a blast, we hired bikes otherwise it was a lot of walking. But we loved the place, Little breakfast treats left in fridge was a surprise. Thank you

  • Excellent stay. Great communication with Gabrielle. Place is lovely and was perfect for our family of 5. Close to general store and activities. We found the cabin spacious and enjoyed having 3 sleeping areas to accommodate the kids. Kids loved the resort. We brought our own bikes over but you can also hire. Milk, bread, jam, cereal all provided to get us started. Thanks for a terrific stay - we will come again.

    Annette2018-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our family of five enjoyed a two night stay. Check in was easy and we were driven from reception by golf buggie to the cabin with our bags. A peaceful spot to stay. The cabin was perfect for us. Comfortable and quiet with everything we needed. Our children enjoyed watching one of the DVD's provided by the hosts in the late afternoon. We hired bikes and explored the island, riding out to the surf beach to spot whales! We enjoyed kayaking around the lagoon and the kids enjoyed the splash pool. I would suggest to bring all of your food with you. The restaurants and store are limited for choice. We packed a picnic in a backpack to take with us when out. Also, take bug spray to keep insects away, we used it and only had a few mosquito bites. The resort isn't five star, it could be great and it looks like it once was. However I think it's what you make of it, we enjoyed our stay, staff were friendly and helpful. Certainly value for money for a family holiday with three children and choosing a self catering option. Communication with the hosts was perfect as to the breakfast items provided. Comfortable couch and chairs, dining table and deck. Beds were great. Good kitchen with microwave, toaster, jug, oven cook top and BBQ outside on the deck.

  • The eco cabin was great. It kept cool during our stay at the end of summer, cozy for the bit of rain we had, and was spacious for the four of us. The cabin is part of the Couran Cove Resort and as such, staying there gets you all the amenities of the resort. The beach and restaurants are only a short walk though I definitely recommend getting some bikes as soon as you arrive. Gabrielle was extremely easy to deal with and very helpful.

    Steve2016-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gabrielle’s eco cabin. Nestled amongst the beautiful banksia forest, this cabin is a perfect place to stay as it is in a central location between the amazing surf beach and all the great facilities offered by the resort. Our kids had an absolute ball, they loved the canoeing, kids club activities, sports centre and the bike riding! Hiring bikes is essential to access all that the island has to offer. We can’t wait to come back and would certainly recommend Gabrielle’s cabin for a unique and special getaway.

Great location (although follow Ann's location instructions rather than your GPS!). You felt like you were a world away from everyone. Ann was a fantastic host and was quick to respond to all questions and had lots of suggestions of great food and walks around the mountain. Thanks Ann!

  • Great log cabin, with fireplace and fantastic views. Cosy, comfortable and exceeded our expectations. Ann and Stephen are very welcoming, with lots of local knowledge if you need it. • We had a delightful stay in this quiet, clean and comfortable cabin. The back deck is a lovely spot to relax, sip a wine and cook a barbie. The extras such as teas, oils, condiments and games for the kids was very welcome. It's short bike ride or a pretty walk to the pool, lagoon or many activities. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us (2A & 3K) and 2 bathrooms was great. Feeding the visiting wallabies was a highlight for the 3 boys.

    Brendan2017-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful secluded cabin in such a beautiful location. Our stay was so peaceful and relaxing and was the best way to get away from everything.

    Siobhan Enya2018-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time at Ian and Denise's place. There were loads of little extras that were unexpected - board games, a TV loaded with movies, books, insect repellent and sunscreen, bikes and lots of towels. We had plenty of room (there were four of us) and the two bathrooms were handy. Couran Cove is beautiful and the staff were fantastic. We did segway rides, spent a lot of time in the pool and played in the new Virtual Reality studio. The pool games were great fun and the breakfast buffet a winner for 3 x 14 year old girls. We'll definitely be back.

A quiet retreat, very close to our favorite spot at the beach where we always see dolphins. Dolphins are friendly and we can pet them. It is the most amazing experience. Dave and Michelle went above and beyond in terms of hospitality, just incredible hosts and easy to reach at all times. House was so well equipped with everything and more, games and toys and craft for the kids, bbq, Xbox, comfy bed, cabin is huge and clean and amazing value for money. Couran cove was fantastic and we can’t wait to go back to stay in whitehouse cabin

  • Laura was very accommodating and helpful and the room for the night served my purposes. Laura had prepared some dinner to share which was very thoughtful. The accommodation is on a bus route and there is a Pub a few minutes by car down the road.

  • Staying with Laura (and little doggie buddy Oscar) was a blast. Great location near public transport that will get you where you need to be, and a beautiful walk to the Uni. I enjoyed my convos with Laura and regret having to leave early in the morning on my last day and not being able to give her a brig hug goodbye and thank her properly for welcoming me into her home and allowing me to stay for 11nights! :).
