Our place is perfect for exploring wine country or a family outing at the aviation museum. Spend the the day out and about, walk downtown to check out the local shops and restaurants, and come back to relax in your own private hot tub and sauna.

  • Everything is as described! Clean. Comfortable and very fast response from host! 5 stars!!

  • The house was per the photos. Easy self check-in. Nice little yard for hanging out when it’s not raining (was pouring rain each day so the yard was quite soggy). There is a small bbq grill and the propane fire bowl on a covered patio area. Quiet neighborhood and the location is great, less than a 15 minute walk to many of the great restaurants downtown. The welcome basket with coffee, wine and hazelnuts was a nice touch, although I did have to chuckle when I saw it was a Sonoma Pinot instead of a local producer ;) Thanks for the relaxing, quiet visit to the valley. Cheers!

  • Ed & Patty were great from The second we arrived to the moment we left. They met all of our accommodations and the place itself was immaculate far beyond our standards. It’s a beautiful home surrounded by farms giving a much needed escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life.

    Richard2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place to stay in a tranquil location. This place was more spacious than it looks in the pictures. Very private, cozy and clean. I slept so well in the bed! Ed and Patty's place has everything that you need, plus more. I would highly recommend staying here. Communication and check in were very clear. Thanks Ed and Patty!

  • As Dale Cooper would say: “Clean place, reasonably priced.” We really enjoyed the scenery and the location near so much wonderful wine. Pete’s Place is a quiet, clean and very cozy spot. After a day of wine tasting, the reclining sofa was really nice to kick back in, and being well-stocked with coffee for the morning was very welcome as well!

    Peter2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • It was a very nice stay! Nice and quiet and good location if you don’t want to be inside the city. Good space and it’s exactly as described. Would stay again!

Sitting area with sofa and table and chairs. Bathtub that is wonderful for soaking, hand held shower for rinsing off. Unique private space in the country.
The cozy barn is for your use. One bedroom with queen bed, a loft with full bed, kitchen, dining area, and a sofa sitting area. There is a bath area with large soaking tub and hand d shower.
We are located in Scholls, an agricultural neighborhood in wine country. Lots of farm stores and fresh produce. Our property has wonderful trees and trails. We are gated and fenced. We are in the country, it is dark at night. There are NO street lights.
  • My daughter & I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Shawn & Lila's little red barn! It is tucked away in the beautiful forest, with lots of trails & cool spots to sit along the way...I highly encourage you to explore the property! The barn warms up quickly with the propane heater & we loved the eclectic vibe. Beds were SO comfortable we both slept well & were warm & toasty. We brought a couple of dvds & enjoyed watching them along with the easy dinner we prepared on the electric cook top. Then I made a fire in the woodstove (would be better to bring Presto logs as they don't get smoky) & had a long soak in the tub. Sooo relaxing! Lila responded instantly to my questions & we would love to stay again in the future!

    Lisa2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a cute little place! Very cozy with thoughtful touches! Needed a place to get out of the rain and snow for the night while traveling back to the coast and this was great! The fur baby enjoyed her time too. Very toasty warm actually had to turn the heater off!! I would def stay again if passing through the area.

    Ashley2020-03-14T00:00:00Z

  • If you're looking to get away from everybody this is the place to go. Middle of nowhere and quiet. Wooded area. Only downside, it was cold but there were plenty of blankets and heaters offered!

  • As soon as you step into the lovely space Julie has created for her guests, you can immediately see why she is rated as a SuperHost! The level of detail and thoughtful touches throughout the studio and the beautifully maintained gardens was above and beyond. I loved that she left local treats such as candies, tea, and fresh coffee beans out. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, there was a treat bucket to walk the property and feed the alpacas, even fresh flowers on every table. Seriously, you will never want to leave :)

    Laura2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Oakwood Gardens is magical. The location is great if you want to have a home base while exploring Portland and the Oregon coast. Julie was an incredible host, fresh flowers in the room (among so many other beautiful touches) and responds quickly to any questions or concerns. We visited in early March and although the flowers were not blooming yet it was still gorgeous! I definitely want to visit again!

    Alex2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute accommodations, clean and cozy. The property was really cool.

    Ricky2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for 2 nights in the Studio, after staying in the Retreat for about 2 weeks, and before we moved to other units (3-bedroom, cottage, then back to Retreat). Our plans to stay only 2 weeks changed over the course of our visit, and Julie was really helpful in setting us up in other units on the property. We didn't want to go anywhere else! Julie's place is so popular that there were only a few nights available in different units, so we got a chance to try 4 of the 5 units on this stay. The Studio was beautiful and has a great deck off the side that looks out to the river. It is really helpful to have laundry facilities especially with a long stay. Beautiful fresh flowers again, complimentary delicious Paca Paws, sparkling water, fresh coffee beans, teas, honey, natural soaps... too many added touches to even mention. Spectacular property, very quiet and peaceful.

    Larry2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Julie’s place was amazing! The alpacas were cute and friendly. In addition, the studio is so cute and equipped with amazing amenities. I would definitely recommend this stay!

    Evie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place to stay!

    Frangelica2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • I have been telling all my friends and family members to stay here if they visit Oregon. The property is beautiful even though it’s winter. Staying here is honestly the highlight of my trip. I love the alpacas. They’re all so cute and friendly !!

    Linda2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Julie is a thoughtful and caring host in her messaging and in how she’s decorated and provided amenities inside the space. The studio was comfortable and perfect for my weekend stay to get some peace and solitude during an emotional funeral with my large family. I especially enjoyed feeding the alpacas, so unique!

  • Absolutely beautiful area, the woods behind and the vineyard our front were both breathtaking. The space is adorable, and the window views right from the bed can’t be beat! It was very quiet, and just the peaceful get away we were looking for. All amenities worked well and were as described. The space was even better than pictured. It was good to know that you do have to step outside briefly to get to the restroom, but didn’t hinder our stay at all. Would love to be back!

Enjoy this rustic 1950's bungalow, nestled in the heart of wine country and Willamette Valley farmland. Centrally located, between the towns of Carlton, Dundee & McMinnville-each offering their own charms. The house is situated on 120 acres; abundant gardens, towering Cedars and Douglas Firs, farmland and a woodland walk, right out the door.
The farmhouse offers guests the entire main floor, including two bedrooms (each with a queen bed), one full bathroom (w/shower and tub combo), kitchen with full-sized stove, refrigerator, and fully stocked with dishes, cooking pans, and utensils. (Plus salt, pepper & olive oil). The living room has ample seating, a picture window, record player (and records!) games, and good books. The dining room has a spacious table, four chairs, a piano, and a picture window. Enjoy the covered front porch and two private side garden areas with outdoor seating. Parking area for two cars. We provide complimentary coffee, half & half, sugar, tea, and a few eggs from our flock. For the winter months, there are electric baseboard heaters throughout the house and the woodstove is available for added coziness. (Please pick up a bundle of wood or Duraflame!) For summertime, there is a freestanding AC unit, that does a reasonable job of keeping the main living areas cool and there are fans in each of the bedrooms as well.
Pretty much just us, the cats and chickens. We are about 5 miles from Carlton & McMinnville, 2 miles from Lafayette, 7 miles from Dundee, 8 miles from Newberg... We have brochures, local winery and restaurant details in the house.

  • The farmhouse is warm, cozy and very comfortable. We were 3 people (1 couple plus a single) and it was perfect for our needs. Well located, close to wineries and easy to find. We also had fun talking to the chickens and sheep. Highly recommended for a brief getaway in wine country.

  • Everything at this place is thoughtfully prepared for you to have a wonderfully peaceful retreat. We took advantage of the woodland walk they’ve created as well as a walk to the neighboring winery. We played an assortment of records, enjoyed the farm fresh eggs (and of course visited with the chickens!) It’s a great space with a large table for dining if you wish, or playing a board game. Spacious living room with couches for conversation or reading and 2 comfy bedrooms sharing a well equipped bathroom. You will love being in the country!

  • Susan and Bob are amazing hosts. We really enjoyed staying here and will definitely be coming back again. This place was nice and clean. The only issue was that we had poor internet connection. But if you are trying to get away this is definitely the place to go.

    Veronica2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Susan’s spot was perfect. She was very welcoming, and the apartment was very secluded from the main house. This is perfect for a weekend get away in wine country.

    Rose2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very peaceful place. The hot tub combined with the sunset was unbelievable. Susan was out of town but still very reactive to my text messages. The cat was also a sweet companion. We’ll come back!

    Adrien2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful private, peaceful experience. Sitting in the hot tub with the wind chimes was magical. Susan and Robert were very quick to be available for anything that we might need.

  • A lovely little retreat in beautiful wine country. The weather was rainy and cold but made the stay that much cozier and the views misty and calm. The space was clean and beautifully put together, and the personal recommendations for food were great! (We ate at the local Mexican restaurant and had a great inexpensive meal for two). Excited for anyone else who gets to visit ❤️

    Stephanie2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Susan's place! She welcomed us personally and showed us to the room and taught us how to use the hot tub. The hot tub was awesome in the chilly weather, and the little apartment space was tidy and clean. She even left some chocolates and granola bars for us, and had some quality coffee for us to make in the morning. It was a great stay!

Grab a glass of local Pinot Noir and play some bocce on the full sized court out back. Pick up a Cup-of-Joe before heading out on your Willamette Valley adventures. Stay in and have some wood-fired pizza delivered to your room!
The Market Lofts are located in the center of Downtown Dundee. You can walk to numerous tasting rooms... Argyle, Fox Farm Vineyard, Panther Creek, Dobbes, Purple Hands, Lange & Co - just to name a few. And you are also steps away from great restaurants... Tina's, Dundee Bistro & Bubble Bar, Red Hill Provincial and more. Less than a mile away brings you into the Dundee Hills where you will be surrounded by vineyards and is easily one of the most beautiful places in the world. Dundee is also home to hiking trails and a paddle launch to the Willamette River.
  • The Lofts above Red Hills Market are fabulous. The location is perfect. If your in the mood for wine tasting there are several tasting rooms with in a few blocks. We had two wine pick up parties to go to in/near Dundee so the loft was a great home base (rather than driving the 50 minutes back to our actual home). The Red Hills Market has great food and being right downstairs was super convenient for breakfast and dinner.

  • FAVES: - Heated bathroom floors - HUGE shower - Everything was immaculately clean - Body wash, shampoo, conditioner, makeup remover wipes & hair dryer provided - Huge bed with VERY soft sheets & extra blankets provided - Keurig, microwave, blender, mini fridge, iron & ironing board - Some board/card games provided - Baggie of candy waiting upon arrival was a cute touch - Fun digital fake fireplace (that pushed out heat) - a cozy touch - Free parking - Easy access to Red Hills Market - Host was accommodating of late check out when I overslept CONS: - The only real con was the noise, from about 7:00-7:30 AM through 8:00-8:30 PM you'll be able to hear Red Hills Market's music coming through the floors. It didn't wake me up and it's not so loud that you can make out the lyrics but if you're trying to sit quietly reading it's distracting.

The perfect mix of new and old, this newly renovated master bedroom is a recent addition to this charming 100 year old farmhouse. Located less than a mile from the heart of Newberg, George Fox University and many restaurants & wineries are just down the road. Enjoy a private entrance to this 350 square foot master bedroom and large bathroom.
Our unique space is set apart by its private entrance, so you can come and go as you please. Arriving late? Automatic lights turn on to guide your way to the entrance. You're stepping into comfort and relaxation when you wind down in the bathroom- soak in the claw foot bathtub, stay cozy with the heated toilet seat and heated bathroom floor, and be refreshed by the company of our living greenery. One of the repeatedly high rated aspects of the room is the king size bed. There is easy access to the WIFI and a coffee corner, which includes a microwave, mini fridge, and Keurig. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are provided.
We love our local town and community. Most of our room decor is created by local artists and we love to offer tips about place to eat and visit!
  • The farmhouse is always quiet, comfortable, warm and cozy. It's so close to everything in Newberg and it's always our first choice when we can get it!! We love the comfy bed, the awesome relaxing bath and the baby sheep romping or resting across the yard from our room! Makes for a great view.

  • It was so nice we stayed twice as long. Mercedes and Jeremiah are such great people and absolutely wonderful hosts. The apartment has access to a lovely lawned garden with apple tree. We helped ourselves to delicious apples. The location of the apartment is fantastic. Walking distance to Carlton town and nice and quiet. Our hosts made every effort to make us feel comfortable and welcome.

  • It is very hard to find a place that is month-to-month and pet friendly, and while I don't have a pet, I do appreciate what the Cook's have done with this rental unit. Firstly, the Cooks are a lovely family and the service and communication were top-notch. The unit is well appointed, very quiet, and super convenient with just a short walk into Carlton (a really fun small town). Everything was clean and functional making my 3 month stay something I will always remember fondly. Bed was comfortable and getting a good night of sleep was easy (and necessary since I was working 10-12 hrs/day). A few tips/suggestions that will make your stay better: 1- The internet in this small town can be spotty, but I bought and installed a Linksys Range Extender greatly improving my internet. The Cooks were super helpful in helping me get that set up. 2- If you like to watch TV/movies, bring your own TV as the one provided is about the size of a laptop screen. Comcast Xfinity service is provided and worked really well. I bought a 32" Walmart TV for about $100 and it was well worth it. 3- Carlton Corners is a very fun place to eat/grab a beer and don't forget the Carlton Bakery because everything they make is outstanding! Overall, I'm very happy with my stay here and wish the Cooks the best of luck with their business endeavors - they're wonderful people!

A spacious rustic studio, perched above the garage of our home-offering a separate entrance and completely private quarters. The studio has one queen bed, one single bed, a full (tiny) bathroom, kitchenette, dining nook and sitting areas. (Approx 1,000 sq ft)
This is a spacious upstairs studio apartment. All wood floors, real cedar paneling on walls and ceiling-the whole studio feels like a woodsy treehouse. There is ample comfy furniture for relaxing. A large picture window, love seat and ottoman offer a cozy spot for taking in the views of the field, vineyards and woods. (The rest of the windows are the old aluminum sliders that aren't in great shape, but still offer beautiful views of the countryside/gardens). The kitchen has a mini stove (fully functional, but not shiny and new), a small fridge/freezer, toaster over, microwave, and a basic set of kitchen utensils/pots/pans/dishes. We provide complimentary coffee beans, grinder, french press, stovetop espresso pot, half-n-half, tea, sugar, good salt, pepper, EVOO & a few eggs from our flock. A very small, private full bathroom with a small sink and shower-a little 'rough around the edges', but all is in working order. There is a small AC unit that keeps the space comfortable in summer and baseboard heaters in the winter. At present there is no wifi/or TV. There is a TV 'screen' and a handful of dvd's for movie watching and a speaker with aux cord for connecting your phone for music or podcasts. Phones get reasonable reception, but you'll need to access your own data plan.

You will feel you have walked into a quiet, enchanted place when you arrive. This beautiful space overlooks a forest and a creek, and the sounds you hear are birds and the water. We have six deer that come through as well. The apartment has an open floor plan, with over 900 sq. feet. Beds are in the open space with living room and dining room. The whole house is a 100% solar-powered green home. There is one brnd new full bath. The queen bed has a new firm mattress and the futon is also a new, quality mattress. There is an option of a rollaway bed as well. The apartment is all yours, your private space. There is a kitchen with a double burner, toaster oven, microwave, hot water pot, coffee maker, full-size fridge, and toaster. I also stock tea, coffee, cereal, milk, half and half, bread (in the freezer), eggs, etc. Laundry is available within the apartment as well if you need it. This house is in an established neighborhood in Newberg, just a few blocks away from downtown Newberg where there are many local shops, bakeries, coffee places, wine tasting rooms and restaurants. I keep brochures for wineries as well as a list of the best restaurants in the apartment.

Really loved the panoramic view and surrounding beauty of the outdoors from three very large windows - the creek outdoors is in a canyon, which is gorgeous. The space is so private and peaceful. • This little house was perfect for my first weekend away since my son was born almost two years ago. I spent about half the time relaxing on the couch watching tv and half the time in town. The home was very clean, modern, and even decorated for Christmas, which I just loved. The bed was super comfortable too! They had a keurig and supplied some coffee and some snacks. The house was super quiet and exactly what I needed for a relaxing getaway.

Our studio is located in the small town of Amity, Oregon's beautiful wine country. It is set up with a queen bed, full bathroom and a love seat. There is a TV, DVD and dresser with microwave and coffee maker. There is access to a fridge in the garage. The studio is on our property, but a separate building from our house. The studio is a shared building with our garage.
You might enjoy sipping your wine and watching the sunset while enjoying the privacy of the studio porch. You might also see deer in the early morning or enjoy listening to the frogs at night.
We are in a neighborhood at the edge of Amity. We are on a dead end street, so the traffic flow is light.

There are plenty of shops and grocery stores nearby for your convenience. Plan a day trip to the Wings and Waves waterpark for some family fun, or get lunch and ice cream on 3rd St. Round out the day by taking the kids to one of the many parks nearby, or hang out at the house where you can enjoy the backyard, cook a meal, and unwind.
There are walking paths in the neighborhood that make easy connections to multiple parks (our favorite is Discovery Meadows Community Park) as well as an easy jaunt to downtown. A couple recommendations for dinner are Nick's Italian Cafe (the smoked mussels are to die for), La Rambla (wonderful paella) and Crescent Cafe for a farm fresh breakfast with delicious pancakes and homemade bread. You can’t go wrong with the local vineyards, but Stoller is one of our favorites due to its expansive outdoor patio, pretty view, tire swing, good food, friendly service and fine wines.

  • We had a short but wonderful stay at Tara’s place. She was communicative and helpful, providing great recommendations for local vegan restaurants. The home is well- furnished with thoughtful touches, including cozy robes and games. We also loved the location and enjoyed a morning walk along the trail at the back of the house. If you’re looking for a peaceful, comfortable stay conveniently located close to wineries, this is a great option.

  • Great little cottage with all the basic amenities you need to be self sufficient and cook meals. Cozy living-room and bedroom with plenty of closet space. The mattress is soft so not a negative, just something to be aware of if you require a firm mattress. The back porch was great for watching the sunset. We would definitely stay again.

  • This cottage is a hidden gem among the gems of Willamette Valley. Close to an incredible state park and so many wonderful wineries. Incredible value, wonderful host, exquisite place to stay. Cindy went above and beyond to make my wife's Birthday amazing! The place was perfect and more than we expected in every way. We will be back for sure!! The nespresso was an excellent break from the usual. We added Boston and Des Moines to the map!

    Jay2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay there. It was private, cozy, and romantic, which was just what we were hoping for. We appreciated all the attention to detail that went into the place. The blankets were all very soft. The bed was really comfortable with a heated mattress cover. The kitchen had all the dishware, pots, pans, etc. that we required. Also, it was the perfect distance from town, close enough to make trips in easy, far enough to feel like we were in the country. Overall, a great stay. We highly recommend.

    Bill2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay here. We had a delightful experience a year ago, so were eager to return. It's such a peaceful, relaxed setting - just what we needed. And Cindy's attention to detail and thoughtfulness made this trip just as wonderful as last year's. We will be back!

If you want to visit Oregon wine country, there is no better place to stay then award-winning downtown McMinnville. Our property is an easy walk from an array of wine tasting rooms, bars, farm-to-table restaurants, boutique stores, gorgeous parks, and PNW coffee shops. All guests are welcome to spend time relaxing within our gated courtyard or have their morning coffee on our house’s wrap-around front porch.
Our home was built in 1907. The building we renovated for your vacation rental enjoyment was historically our property's Carriage House. The space is completely self-sufficient with a small kitchenette. It is a 600sq/ft space with an open studio layout. Once at our location you can enjoy the privacy of your own living space or step outside and have a glass of wine in the gated yard. We have a corn hole board set and fire pit available for your seasonal enjoyment.
We are only two blocks from the busy main street of downtown McMinnville and yet offer the charm of a quaint neighborhood. Our neighborhood will provide you the opportunity to stroll past beautiful historic homes, a performing arts theatre, artists galleries and a lush city park. There is even an old fashioned ice cream parlor just around the corner! Since we are in a residential setting, we do ask that you keep the outside noise (loud gatherings) down after 10pm on weekdays so as to kindly not disturb others.
  • Charming place that is very clean and comfortable. Exceptional location two block walk to downtown restaurants, wine tasting and entertainment. Lexi and Bryce are truly Superhosts going out of their way to make certain we had an authentic experience and enjoyed our visit. We hope to return soon and often and will recommend them and their place to all of our friends.

  • Loved staying here. The location is perfect for our weekend in McMinnville, with the heart of 3rd Street just two blocks away. The place itself was clean and welcoming, the bed was a super-comfortable pillow-top. I'll be back.

  • It feels like a cool loft space, and it's so comfortable. The best part is how close it is to all the fun that 3rd Street has to offer. We will definitely stay again when we're back in the area!

  • The carriage house was perfect for my husband's and my visit to McMinnville. It is a comfortable, well appointed, spacious, and beautifully decorated studio apartment, with numerous special touches and convenient parking. We appreciated the chalkboard with tips on places to visit in the area, contact info for Lexi and Bryce, wifi info, and more. Clear instructions are provided regarding the use of the television, appliances, etc. Lexi was very responsive to any questions we had. We had a great time visiting local wineries in the area as well as a couple of the tasting rooms on 3rd Street. There are many great restaurants and shops within walking distance. We love McMinnville and appreciated finding a great places to stay that is definitely a good value!

This peaceful round house offers a retreat from city life. Located on over 20 acres, this property offers complete silence, relaxation, and breathtaking views of the beautiful Willamette Valley below. The design offers an open floor plan as well as the unique experience of living in the round! The house is just a few minutes from numerous wineries and restaurants in Amity and McMinnville. We welcome inquires about discounted multi-month stays over the winter months (Nov.-March)
The house design provides a large living room/kitchen space for cooking and socializing, while the downstairs has 2 bedrooms and the bathroom. One bedroom has a queen sized bed, and the other a full sized bed. Both have shelving and drawers. The space is most comfortable for 2-4 people, and dogs are welcome!
The quaint town of Amity is located 4-5 minutes away, just down the hill. It was a farming village that is now home to great restaurants, tasting rooms, a taphouse, and cafe. In recent years the town has attracted chefs from Salem who continue to bring new food and wine options to the town. The town is a smaller version of McMinnville, located 10 minutes down the road, and home to numerous tasting rooms and farm-to-table restaurants.
  • This is my most favorite Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Check in was a breeze. It is the perfect getaway, amazing views, great wine nearby. Great property for dogs! We will definitely be back!

We loved being in the middle of the woods and looking out to all of the vineyards from the hill and being able to easily access many, many local wineries within 10 minutes. Thank you again so much for such a wonderful time we really loved your house and we are looking forward to coming back soon! Cheers.

    Lisa2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed in alot of Airbnb homes and this one was the most peaceful. The area was so quiet and the forest was relaxing. The done house was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. The house manual had wonderful local tips on where to hike, eat and wine taste. Our favorite activity was the Silver Falls state park. We hiked to ten different waterfalls. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook with. The hostess was available by texting for any questions. Check in was a breeze too. WiFi worked well and there were plenty of TV options. We also really enjoyed the pellet stove.

This spacious & luxurious King suite w/ private bonus room on the edge of town. The space sleeps 4 w/ AirComfort sleeper sofa in bonus room. Enjoy a relaxing morning w/ continental breakfast in the nook.
This space is clean and luxurious. The King bed is very comfy. The queen sleeper sofa is a high end comfortable mattress. You will find this space comfortable, beautiful and the view of the fields and coast range mountains is pastoral and serene.
Across the street from the house is a greenway and walking path that travels across town. Guests can walk, run, bike or roller blade their way to McMinnville's downtown. Our city is wonderful! Whether you enjoy shopping, dining, wine tasting, micro brews or just hanging out in a coffee shop, you'll love McMinnville and the surrounding area! McMinnville is a wonderful small city. Half way between Portland and the Pacific Coast it's in the heart of Oregon wine country. It is the home to the "Spruce Goose"built by Howard Hughes and made famous in the movie "The Aviator." Within 2 hours drive of McMinnville there are five distinct ecosystems great for exploring and hiking.

  • Bill is a great host. Everything in the room is as clean as a 5-star hotel, and its unique decor is more trendy and stylish than a hotel. The information in the room is helpful. Bill is an interesting guy and we had a good chat as well. I saw his Golden Key award by Airbnb and he is well deserved. In one word, this is a valuable deal and we had a pleasant staying. hopefully we are able to stay again.

AWAY FROM IT ALL BUT NEAR THE BEST. New, private entrance, breath-taking views, clean, spacious, serene, secluded, rural, 5 acres, studio apt. above garage. Approx. driving minutes to: Oregon coast/Lincoln City(40); Spirit Mnt Casino(10); wineries(15-40); golf(25); fishing(40); WhipUp trailhead: 103 trails for cycles, bikes & hikes(15); McMinnville: Linfield College, 3rd Street restaurants, shops & wine bars(30); Willamina(5); Sheridan(10); Delphian School(15); airports: PDX(90), Salem(45).
The MerryOtt's Owl's Loft is special, not just because it is new and private, but because of the million dollar views atop a secluded hill in a rural, serene and wooded setting. No big city lights, no big city traffic. Easy access to the main roads that head to the best of Oregon like the beach, the wineries, golf, trails, fishing and the charming smaller towns (and Spirit Mountain Casino). When the weather allows, you'll have no trouble seeing a star-filled-night-time sky. Looking through different windows in the loft, you can see either the tops of trees, Ollie's (the Owl) Big Old Oak tree, or our part of the Willamette valley with the nearby coastal-hills backdrop. It is common to see birds of prey flying nearby, beautiful sunsets and visiting rainbows after a fresh Oregon rain. Listen for the chirping birds, the howling coyote, the donkey, and other sounds not commonly heard by most city dwellers! The Loft has a fully equipped kitchenette (i.e. small refrigerator, hot plate, microwave, toaster oven, blender, dishes, pans) making it possible to prepare basic meals while you are "in the boonies"). And for when you don't want to prepare a meal, you are 3 miles from a small town grocery store and restaurants, or 12 minutes from around-the-clock food service at the Spirit Mountain Casino. Our MerryOtt's Owl's Loft is conveniently located to access some of the best that Oregon has to offer. We are AWAY FROM IT ALL BUT NEAR THE BEST!
The tree and fern-covered hillside on which the MerryOtt's Owls' Loft is located shows the rural beauty of Oregon. Only 5 other homes share the hill (all on 5+ acre parcels). Once you start up our driveway, the seclusion really begins. Neighbors are rarely seen or heard (unless planned) and no other homes are in sight. It is very quiet but sometimes you'll hear the neighbor's donkey or horses (just beyond the scrub oak tree forest), the coyote and sometimes a dog. If on a walk, you might meet a local friendly goat that likes to roam with a few very old and people-loving dogs (who like to bark and pretend to chase cars). Make a day of it--visit the few shops in Willamina and then head to the next little town (Sheridan) for the J Wrigley wine, then onto McMinnville for their quaint shops downtown, and don't forget the Dundee wine tasting.
  • Wonderful get-away with amazing views!

Welcome to Fox and the Vines! This is our signature room, a big and bright upstairs room perfectly located near George Fox University and in Oregon Wine Country. We also have an additional room for you to consider; More Fox and the Vines.
You will discover this is a house filled with love, and it clearly resonates to our guests. We have filled our home with curated art, beautiful glass, and special antiques. Fox and the Vines is spacious (16 x 17), with a high end memory foam bed/ pillows, a comfortable sitting area, a mini-fridge and a Bluetooth speaker. This room is perfect for travelers looking to stay for more than a day or two, but we do not have a minimum night stay requirement. This is definitely an above average room for an excellent price. Our additional upstairs room available, More Fox and the Vines is smaller (13 x 11), but still quite suitable for a couple or solo traveler needing a place for a night or two. The view of the Chehalem mountain from this room is spectacular! When both rooms are available, they are a great option for families who want to book both; everyone has a comfortable space and quiet privacy. But we believe in the more the merrier, so there does not have to be a connection between the guests in both rooms.
We live in a very quiet, residential neighborhood. Although there is plenty of street parking, feel free to park in our driveway. We are about a mile from downtown Newberg, with many tasting rooms and antique stores. The number of wineries and tasting rooms within 10 miles is countless.
  • Very spacious, comfortable room, gracious hosts. Easy to explore the area, either by car or to get to downtown by foot. Enjoyed seeing their art work and brief chat about rocks, as host is an avid collector.

  • My stay with Bill and Carla started in November 2019. What started out as a 2 week stay turned into 2 months due delays to apartment construction! Bill and Carla have been nothing but kind, flexible, hospitable, and fun! The joke is I’ve stayed in every room in the house and all three rooms have their unique qualities! Fox and the vines - Space! Space! Space! This room has a comfortable (memory foam?) queen sized bed, 2 armchairs, a table, a mini fridge, a closet, and still plenty of room to stretch and walk around! This room has 6 large windows for views into yard and to the side. Me and my cat’s favorite! More fox and the vines - good sized room with a grand arched window that allows plenty of sunlight. This room also has a vaulted ceiling that reflects the outside tree’s shadow at night. Perfect sight to ponder life hard questions! Third room - This space is reserved as a back up for guests are in need of a place past their reservation - this goes to show Carla and Bill’s consideration and hospitality for their guests! This room is cute and comfy. It has a large window and a large closet! I’m grateful to have met Bill and Carla. In addition to offering their home, they offer themselves! They are always in cheery moods and available for good conversations. I gleaned from their “can- do”, proactive, yet super relaxed attitude! I plan to visit Carla and Bill often in the future just as many of their past guests do!

Fanciful and cozy accommodations available 5 blocks from McMinnville's Third Street and 3 blocks from the up-and-coming Granary District. The Marigold Inn is a unique, Victorian era home. Tasting rooms, a coffee roaster, bakery, brewery, antiques, and several fantastic restaurants are within easy walking distance from this location.
High ceilings, stained glass windows and layers of wall and floor coverings hint at a colorful past. This home, recently christened the Marigold Inn, was built in 1894 and it is an interesting work in progress. Paintings and prints by Oregon artists decorate the space and the furnishings are eclectic. Some of the floors and other surfaces are distressed or stained at the moment - all part of uncovering and preserving the history of this home. This guest room has been called Narnia by many even in its pre-Airbnb life due to its semi-hidden location. It is decorated in a soothing dark green with fanciful aspects throughout. Please note that to enter Narnia, you must walk through an opening smaller than a standard door (59” x 27”). The entry corridor and bedroom itself have regular height ceilings. There is one additional guest room at the Inn. You have the option of renting the second room if you have a party of three or four. The guest-only bathroom is down the hall from the rooms. The shared dining room, living room, and kitchen are yours to enjoy - pour some wine, put on a record, pull out a good book or a board game. Or if you prefer to step out, you are in the right place - the Marigold Inn is five blocks from Third Street, and three blocks from the Granary District, both of which boast a great many food and entertainment options.
My neighborhood has tree-lined streets, lots of older homes, and is an ideal location from which to explore McMinnville.
  • Quirk, shabby chic, unuque, and classy. Loved this house and location was indeed in close walking distance from many eateries and coffee shops. Beautiful neighborhood, quiet; mature trees. Cynthia was an excellent communicator, and a gracious host. I loved all the soecial touches and mixed patterns, colors designs amd fabrics all went together and created delight. I ooved the Narnia room, with it's secret passageway entrance. Sweet, natural, clean, homey touches everywhere you look.

Creatively decorated, it is obvious that the owner (Cynthia) has put a lot of thought into creating this special place - now affectionate known as The Marigold Inn - Lodging with Soul. If you’re tired of featureless motel rooms, this is the place for you. Handmade soaps and the the most wonderful shampoo I’ve ever used add to the charm of this home. Highly recommended by this traveller

McMinnville was voted America's 2nd Best Main Street with 34 restaurants, 17 wineries and 7 breweries.
The cottage is perfect for a romantic weekend or a week exploring the Valley. It is perfect for two, but will accommodate a family of three.
The cottage is within walking distance of downtown McMinnville, one hour from Portland and the Oregon Coast. Best of all, the cottage is within minutes of many of the 500+ Willamette Valley wineries.

  • Lovely space! Would recommend to family and friends. Such a unique experience! Watching the sunrise from the treehouse was priceless. Christina was such a great host!! We loved the yogurt and fruit for the morning.

  • The location is magical and Christina has a way of making her vision come to life. We enjoyed waking up in the tree house and playing games. Wonderful retreat!

    Jennifer2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse is absolutely lovely and so cozy, we never minded the little walk to the private bathroom. The host is so hospitable, with great communication, and so helpful provided everything we needed and more. Best and most unique stay we’ve ever had.

    Lindsey2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • The tree house was amazing and the hospitality was perfect. My wife and I recently spent a few days there for our 12 year anniversary. We spent our time exploring the wine valley and relaxing. The space was perfectly romantic and the location was amazing. Christina was so responsive and helpful with local tips. Several of her tips ended up being our favorite stops. Just amazing.

    Corey2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse is a special place. We loved waking up in the morning to the sun shining through the trees. Christina is a great host, and we really enjoyed our stay.

    Amy2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • This magical treehouse was the site of my son's 13th birthday celebration as a family. I had searched for 2 months to find the perfect place and this was IT! Both our boys were ecstatic to stay in a real treehouse. And this one does NOT disappoint! The forest setting, the ethereal lighting, the woodsy decor, the delightfully cozy beds, the attentive and thoughtful hospitality - all combine into a rave 5 star review. The swing was so much fun. I just breathed deep amongst the smells and sounds of the forest; healing to the soul! Christina, we will be back and we will be sending lots of referrals your way!

    Vicki2019-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Deer Haven Farms was so charming! Christina was an excellent host. She met us at our arrival and showed us around her property. The treehouse was amazing and everything I hoped for down to the details of coffee, cream, snacks, decor and comfy beds. I hope to come back and stay longer on our next visit. We highly recommend this Airbnb!

  • Nice private bedroom and bath in the owners' home. Very clean and the bed was comfy. Home is in a quiet cul de sac. I was only there for a quick overnight, so didn't get a chance to explore McMinnville much, but the hosts supplied lots of information about local amenities.

    Laura2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was a last minute book for us but it went well we needed a place to stay just for the night it was a late book and still went smoothly the room was nice and comfortable. We didn’t get to chat just said hello and was off to our room. In the room there was lots of information about what to do and see in Oregon. I would definitely recommend Annette’s place to stay. 🙂

Experience a mini-time travel adventure when you stay with us! Feel the nostalgic vibe as you relax at Wimsey Books Cellars, our vintage 1940s apartment in the daylight basement of our old farm house. We are located in an Old Town DIVERSE neighborhood of Newberg, within walking distance of several quality wine tasting bars, parks, eateries, George Fox University and Naps Thriftway [with its awesome selection of craft beers.]
We have created a haven of time travel to the Oregon of the 1940's (when our old farm house was built), you will feel that you are stepping back into homey, comfortable times with mid 20th century decor all around. Our 1940's Decorated Retro Apartment is a unique experience in store for you, perfect for the anniversaries, a birthday getaway, wine tasting weekends & for those who love "off the beaten path" experiences. Let us know if it is a special occasion for you, we want to make it memorable in every way. We have restored the vintage vibe of the apartment with many classic retro items, but still have the connivence of WiFi, microwave, refrigerator, etc. So you don't have to suffer through the 1940's, just enjoy it!
We are located in a quiet, diverse neighborhood of south Newberg less than a mile from downtown and just over a mile from the campus of George Fox University. There is not a neighbor within blocks who would not go out of their way to help you or make you feel welcome. We hear many different languages in among our neighbors and are happy to live in proximity with such a rich texture of such real & kind people. As mentioned, Newberg is one of the heartland communities of Oregon's world renown wine country and the area surrounding it is bustling with vineyards, wineries, and tasting rooms. There is so much to do in our immediate area, but just imagine you will be a mere 90 minutes from both the beach and the mountains.

    Martiey2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Sandi and Tim have a fun, private 1940s apartment that suited our needs perfectly for a 2 night visit. Sandi went above and beyond to provide treats for our stay that were matched to our preferences. She is a thoughtful communicator and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. I would stay at their place in the future when I'm back in Newberg because of these aspects and the fantastic location.

If you're looking for an affordable, secluded, respite that's away from it all, you've found it! The elevated views from the beds are a popular feature for those who are looking for the peace that our forest provides. This unique space was designed and built by your hostess and every inch is personalized with love and attention to details. Rest here. Recharge and appreciate the the fresh air during your hiatus. And when you're hungry, order in! UberEats & Postmates both provide service here.
Nestled in a quiet forest, at the end of a gravel driveway, this tiny house can certainly be described as "remote". If you're afraid of outdoor things that go "bump" in the very dark night, this might not be the best accomodations for you. If you're an adventurous type, however, wildlife abounds and the views from the deck are just the thing to melt your cares away. You'll come away inspired AND relaxed.
Human neighbors are friendly, but enjoy the privacy that country life ensures. The numerous animal neighbors are furry, or feathered, and some are approachable; but most are pretty shy. (deer, raccoon, quail, squirrels, skunk, etc...)
  • Everything about this tiny house was wonderful, from the initial booking to the check-out Michelle, made the stay amazing. Her instruction book had very helpful recommendations, and she was available by text to ask additional questions. It was little hard to back out of the parking area with a larger vehicle (I was driving a Toyota Highlander) but I did it a few different times :-). I loved sitting on the porch in the sunshine, listening to the birdsong. The evening was quiet, and even though the temps dropped into the high 20s overnight, the house was warm and cozy. We would stay here again in heartbeat!

    Jill2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome tiny house right out side of Portland. A lot of thoughtful touches within the space. We had a great stay!

  • The Hideout was very clean, tidy, and thoughtfully designed. You have a neighbor within 50 feet, but it feels very private, and it really is. It's nice and dark at night. Michelle provides excellent communication. I couldn't believe how nice the kitchen was for a tiny house.

    Joel2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • If your looking for a fun outdoor place to stay I’d recommended booking this tiny home! Beautiful location and lot of cute little features in the home. Michelle is a wonderful host and is always there to answer any questions you have (:

  • Cherry is one of the nicest hosts I’ve ever met. Very kind and gracious. Her place is nicely appointed in a very pretty setting. Highly recommend!

    Teri2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place was fantastic. I was quite nervous since I had never stayed in an Airbnb before and wasn't quite sure what to expect, and I had only tried it out after my brother (who has done a bit of traveling over the past year) highly recommended it. I'm very glad that I took his advice. The area was beautiful and the yard was the perfect place for my friend & I to sit in and get some fresh air with our morning coffees. The place was clean and incredibly charming. It definitely felt like a home away from home. Cherry seemed to have thought of everything, & even left clear information throughout the place since she was unavailable to greet us when we arrived. Only downside was I wasn't able to stay long enough to thoroughly enjoy the little haven since I had flown in for a busy wedding weekend.

  • Great spot just a mile from diwntown. We walked to and from so we could do as much wine tasting as we wanted. There were coupons for wineries in the area and it was spacious and clean. She has dogs so if you need it silent to sleep and like to sleep in real late, you might hear them but only if you sleep in real late. Highly recommend!

  • We had the joy of experiencing Cherry's home and amenities over a long weekend. Her rates were incredible, the location excellent and her lower level suite was stylish and comfortable.

  • Cherry is definitely a super host! Her home is lovely and very conveniently located for either enjoying McMinnville or venturing to all the wineries. She was very helpful with dining suggestions!

  • Cherry's place was clean, spacious and inviting. Cherry was very accommodating and helpful with giving us different local restaurants and wineries to try. We even invited Cherry to have ice cream with us on the deck. She even introduced us to some of her favorite lemon cookies. It was nice to get to know her and her fur babies. When we travel through this area again we will be staying at Cherry's place. Her place exceeded our expectations.
