Liza was super accommodating and helpful. She met me at late night to make sure I had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Amazing spot. Feels like you’re away from it all but so close to conveniences. Great space and the best host in Liza. Cannot recommend Hearts Haven enough. We will be making the trip across to stay again in the future

    Ryley2020-01-28T00:00:00Z

This mini house was our trial run in building our main home using passive house principles. It is very cosy in Winter and just a pleasant place to be. We are approx 1 km from the centre of Westbury. The cottage is suitable for a couple, however the extra single bed does enable some flexibility for guests. We charge $20.00 for use of the extra bed. (i.e. f you wish to use both beds, the site requires you to book for 3 people.)
We have been interested in sustainable architecture and design since the 70s and have finally managed to realise our vision of creating an ecologically friendly homestead, using double glazed windows and a German-designed breathable membrane with ducted air system in the walls and ceiling of the buildings to maximise thermal efficiency and reduce our carbon footprint.
The quaint little village of Westbury, centrally located in the Northern Tasmania, is the perfect base from which to explore Launceston, Devonport, the Tamar wineries, Cradle Mountain, the Mole Creek Caves, the Northwest, and, of course our local attractions. •Nestled under the Great Western Tiers, Westbury is a classic Georgian village, surrounded by hedgerows and bursting with old English charm. It was established in the 1820's as a garrison town, and many of these buildings are still in evidence. Today Westbury is a classified historic town with plenty of attractions and charm. These include: •The stately Fitzpatrick’s Inn with its quaint little bar. •The picturesque English style Village Green. •The Westbury Maze and Cafe, a traditional hedge maze with over 1 km of pathways. • Pearn's Steam World, a collection of over 200 examples of historic agricultural machinery. Houses one of the largest collections of working steam engines in the world. •John Temple's Gallery where you will find quality photographs from all over Tasmania. •1840s White House Bakery at the southern end of the Village green. •Anglican Church where there are 13 examples of Nellie Payne’s wood carvings. •A short drive to Carrick where you will find the Copper Art Gallery. Westbury is a 25-min drive (34 km) west of Launceston and 45 min drive to the Spirit of Tasmania ferry sailing from Devonport.
  • Our stay here was absolutely amazing, highly recommended!! The place was modern, clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. The host was friendly, the location was great and the breakfast items and vege basket were a perfect touch.

    Laura2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • A wonder that this little cottage, modern and cozy at the same time, with everything you could dream of finding there to feel at home. Impeccable cleanliness, quality equipment at all levels and an absolutely charming and caring hostess.

    Angélique2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice house, very clean, lots of birds and rabbits running about in the yard. Great breakfast supplies.

    Stephen2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet and restful with beautiful gardens and lots of birds.

    Loretta2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic eco cottage with a warm homely vibe. Great middle ground base to explore north and west towards Cradle Mountain. Day trips easily doable and Launceston is close by. Marg is a knowledgeable host and very welcoming. No hesitation to recommend a stay at her place, great experience! Thank you!

    Yuuki2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • The property has everything that we needed for a comfortable stay, clean and very well appointed. The surrounding garden is beautiful with a great variety of flowering plants and wildlife. Marg was a great host, easy to communicate with and very considerate, providing toys for our daughter and fresh berries for us to share. Westbury is a picturesque historic town worth a visit in its own right and we would definitely stay again with Marg.

    Martin2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Marg’s place is the perfect country getaway - quiet, comfortable and peaceful. It was an easy drive from Hobart and Marg gave us really good tips of places to see on the way which made the experience even more enjoyable. Marg left us a beautiful breakfast and in addition to that, she brought us a freshly picked bowl of berries in the afternoon which was to die for. The cottage was sparkling clean and has everything that you need for a comfortable stay including shops nearby if you want to stay in and cook. Highly recommended.

    Ana2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Marg and Ian are wonderful hosts, generous and kind. We enjoyed the cosy cottage and the whole property, along with the delicious fruits and vegs from the garden! Highly recommended.

    Dae Sung2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy’s place is a rustic, quirky delight. Placed right beside a gorgeous river which is accessed easily, the self contained accommodation is a treasure trove of artefacts and is a testament to a life well lived. Cindy is lovely to meet and has crafted a unique and beautiful space

    Teresa2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is incredible. The property is absolutely breathtaking, and there is basically a private river that you can sit by! It was like being on our very own relaxation resort! There is a lot of space to walk around and explore, and the home itself is gorgeous. The decorations (especially check out the bathroom and bathtub in the pictures) are so unique and special, and Cindy was an incredible host. She was very responsive and caring, and made our stay wonderful and comfortable. Her dog is also incredibly well-trained and we SO cute!! Everything about this stay was great. Definitely recommend!!! :)

    Anastasiya2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful experience we had staying at Rivers Edge. So close to the beautiful river this place is truly unique. Our space was perfect and bigger than expected with a separate sitting room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom for our exclusive use. Very private with everything we needed. Cindy was a perfect host with plenty knowledge of the surrounding area and we enjoyed meeting her and her lovely fur family and having the  opportunity to sample the country lifestyle for a few days. Very relaxing. We would highly recommend Cindys property.

    Jackie2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had enjoyable stay at Cindy’s place. The place looks rustic with all the aesthetic little touches. Cindy even made a cheese plate for us upon arrival. Looking forward to coming back to Tassie!

    Hannah2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great value, close to Launceston, great communication and such a relaxing place to stay with the sounds of the river in the background! I will be recommending to any friends who are in the area!

    Texas2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing. Right on the river front. We sat on the deck and had a glass of wine and watched the river. The bathtub with fireplace and candelabra and inside garden were just wonderful. Huge towels. Great little kitchen had all we needed. Separate lounge area and a big bedroom with medieval iron cast bed frame. Outside area was stone with beautiful gardens and trees. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    Su2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy is an incredibly kind, generous & accommodating Hostess, and her property is absolutely fantastic. The location is breathtakingly idyllic, and the suite warm, cosy and inviting. We couldn't have asked for a better stay, it really was brilliant!! Thanks a million Cindy : )

This is a tiny room on a steep busy street with no parking. You may have to park 300m away. There is a gravel driveway with difficult access and a big step. There is a young loud family of 4 upstairs with 2 dogs, we are not ninjas. There is another Airbnb next door adjacent to the room. The heat pump is next to the bed and may be noisy. Please note we are in the middle of renovating.
  • Good little room when heading through Launceston. Street parking across a main road can be a bit dicey if you have a lot of baggage - we left it all in the car. But the bed and room was comfortable and clean. Louis recommended Burger Junkie for dinner and it was great.

    Tash2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent communication and easy check in with lockbox, close to town we walked everywhere, cute apartment and breakfast provided - just what we needed for a short stay in Launceston.

    Ej2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy little spot (as the name suggests) in good location

    Hanne2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot, lovely views, very relaxing and cosy. Thoughtful inclusions for breakfast and meal prep.

    Roberta2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The place is small but it was all we needed and for the price it was great! The breakfast items were well stocked and the place was very clean. Communication with the hosts was quick and easy. We had a nice stay :)

    Stephanie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Good little place, clean, cool design, good location and a great host who replies really quick to your messages!

    Luca2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Louis’ space was clean & cozy, complete with stylish decor (love the lights!) and an easily navigable entry. The sweet touch of bacon, eggs, muesli and milk (which we would’ve loved had we not hit the road early to get to the spectacular Freycinet National Park- just 2 hours from Louis’ place) in conjunction with the quick and friendly responses made this a really lovely stay :)

    Freya2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • A quite good value considering the location...easy check in when I needed flexibility...quiet, comfortable, affordable, private, and walkable to decent eateries... (Steves at Centenial) and easy parking off street. Enjoyable and entirely worth the journey.

Jenn was also very proactive, checking in to ensure we were ok during our stay. The balcony is very private being at the end of the row and we enjoyed watching the birds, wallabies and potteroos with sundowners on an evening. Check out the gin distillery next to the onsite winery too - great distinctive flavours and a friendly host/ owner.

  • Our stay at Jennifer’s is one we won’t forget. From the rain on the tin roof, the amazing view and the spacious bath! The added touches of stunning floral arrangements made it that extra special. All amenities are supplied to cook for yourself or if you like to eat out we had dinner at two very close restaurants. I can’t wait to visit this wonderful apartment again!

  • This is a beautiful designer farm house and we loved it so much. Its quite and green farm surroundings. Approx 25min drive to Launceston therefore was convenient enough for us to go downtown for touring and diner. We wish we could have been stayed longer.

    Ann Wei2019-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • A must try in the Launceston area. Beautiful views and beautiful house. And the fresh pea picked from the farm is soooo delicious.

    Jessie2019-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Absolute perfection! Forces relaxation. The most beautiful, clean and inviting accommodation I have ever stayed in. Kid friendly but also made 6 adults never want to leave. The decor is amazing and the land is just beautiful. Only 25 min from Launceston city centre. If you’re contemplating staying here STOP and just book it. You won’t regret!

  • Quamby House was an absolute delight to stay in!! Everything we needed was provided for us, the host was helpful and thoughtful about the guest needs. HIGHLIGHT: be sure to check out the sun rise from the front of the house!! Perfect view, and as the sun rises you can see it peeking through the hillside! The house is located in a beautiful and peaceful farm. Be sure to buy all your things before you go home becuase it is a ways out to the nearest shops. Loved the house! Highly recommended for big groups and would surely go again!!! Thank you for hosting us Stewart!!

  • Stephanie and Andrew were really welcoming hosts. I hadn’t realised it was a working farm which made the stay even more enjoyable. The cottage has everything we needed, is clean, light and peaceful. Stephanie provided a fridge full of fresh fruit and vegetables which was such a generous touch! Highly recommend staying here.

    Jillian2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay and can recommend Stephanie’s place. The breakfast was fantastic.

    Max2019-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely quaint cottage situated next to the owners residence. Plenty of breakfast provisions are provided and you get a lovely outlook over the surrounding farm.

    Talitha2019-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie and Andrew are wonderful, thoughtful hosts. Even putting the kettle on for us in anticipation of arrival The cottage was clean, comfortable and cosy. We didn't lack for anything. The location was fantastic being a convenient distance for us travelling between Freycinet and Cradle Mountain. Andrew was kind enough to give us a short tour of the farm and how it works. I would definitely consider staying again if I passed through in the future. Thank you for a memorable stay!

    Stefanie2019-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first experience staying in the farm, which was wonderful. The location is on our way from Launceston to Cradle Mt (1.5 hr). The house is sparkling clean and homy, with all the Christmas decorations. Stephanie and Andrew are very easy to communicate and welcoming. Breakfast is available in the fridge, including fresh bacon, eggs, fruits, juice, milk and toasts. Highly recommend!

    Lolly2018-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfectly located to explore the surrounding national parks and also close to Launceston and Davenport. Stephanie was very easy to communicate with, her whole family were very friendly and willing to help. The cottage is very clean, well organised with many personal touches that make the experience feel more like you’re in a home away from home than an Airbnb. Would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a base for surrounding hikes or wanting to get away from the city.

Our cottage "Rosie" is on the picturesque Tamar River, just 20 minutes north of Launceston CBD, with unobstructed views across the river and green countryside beyond. Being right next door to the popular Rosevears Tavern, a cosy drink by the fire or dinner in the impressive restaurant is just a few steps away.
The cottage is completely self contained, with all furnishings, kitchen and ensuite set up for a comfortable stay, ideal for couples seeking a romantic getaway into the peace and quiet. Bed: 1 x QB, 1 x DB futon, 1 x Porta cot [Ideal for a couple with 2 children - the futon may not be ideal for adults wanting a proper bed] Kitchen: small portable stove top + small portable gas stove + small portable oven + small fridge Entertainment: TV + DVD Player with ample kids and adults DVD collection , a few board games, playing cards, books, magazines NOTE: If you require more space for a larger group of people, we also have a Chalet situated just above the cottage on the hillside ("Rosevears Waterfront Chalet") that sleeps up to 7 people. Please contact us to check availability for booking both properties. Very affordable option for a few families to stay together on the river!!
The property is located on the acclaimed Tamar Valley wine route, believed to be the oldest wine region in Tasmania. Tasmania's cool climate wines are renowned worldwide and there are around 30 wineries within driving distance of Rosevears. Cellar door tastings which are popular with the tourists are known to be a specialty of the valley. The historic cottage which began life as the Rosevears Post Office (circa 1900's precise build date is unknown), is located directly opposite the river on a level plateau to the front of the property. The neighbour to one side is the historic Rosevears Tavern (a genuine landmark in the area) and diagonally opposite is the popular Rosevears Pontoon. Rosevears is an idyllic country suburb, easily accessible from Launceston CBD via a scenic drive. Rosevears is situated along the picturesque Rosevears Drive, a meandering 8km stretch of road which follows the waterside of the Tamar River. The drive between Launceston and Rosevears is a scenic pleasure.

The views were beautiful, it was conveniently located (we loved having the Rosevears Hotel next door for dinner - and yet, no noticeable noise!) - and easy to visit many local attractions. Quirky , small, clean and tidy , close to city, bus stop 2 minutes walk, city 25 mins walk, You will walk past The Cataract Gorge and the Marina to get into the city. Close to the Tailrace park, walking and cycling tracks. Pleasant backyard to sit in , have coffee and enjoy the sunshine. Tasmania Zoo is 25 minute drive away and The Wetlands 10 minutes drive. Not modern, however unique and quirky, clean, tidy and neat, everything which is required apart from clothes washing facilities. This however can be negotiated with the host.
  • The studio was clean, comfortable and Susan kindly left a few groceries for me. The location was good, though as described in the listing there is traffic noise at times. All in all a good place to stay for a week, or longer

    Diana2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Susan’s place exceeded my expectations in every possible way. The place is very well laid out, which makes it feel much larger than it is. There are extra touches at every step, from breakfast supplies to snacks to toiletries and even scissors when we needed them! What little we didn’t have, Susan went out of her way to provide. We didn’t get to meet, but she made her warmth and generosity felt nonetheless. I wouldn’t dream of staying elsewhere next time I’m in Lonny!

    Alex2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed for around a month and I can't say anything bad about the place or about the host. Loved the place, very quiet and clean. And Susan is wonderful, every time I needed something she responded right away. Great choice.

Jo was accommodating, quick to respond and the small touches were amazing - shortbreads on arrival, hand written welcome note, ingredients to make raspberry muffins to name a few. Ideal space for kids - a toy cupboard, craft cupboard, bath, cot, highchair and bunny rabbits to feed each day - our daughter didn’t want to leave! The location was perfect, only a short drive to the city centre, monkeys, gorge, riverbend park. The views along the river were beautiful. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed.

Our comfortable modern industrial style apartment is situated in our private oasis of a garden. With a queen bed, quality linen, fast unlimited wifi and Netflix. We have a few gorgeous chickens, a Springer spaniel pup and red kelpie dog. Located 15min walk to CBD, and 5min to shops and other necessities. Safe on-street parking directly out the front.
The studio space comfortably suits a couple. A kitchenette and fridge for the late night snack or a 3 course meal. The apartment is very private on its own floor with newly renovated bathroom. Our home is on the next level, so occasionally you may hear footsteps from above, as you might see from our reviews this is very rarely an issue, however we want to be transparent about the space. The accomodation is very safe and private with gated entry.
We live opposite Invermay Oval, a stones throw from UTAS Stadium, a short walk to Heritage Park and the North Esk river. We don't have any direct neighbours, so although an active area the accomodation is private and quiet. That being said, occasionally it can be a little active when the oval is being used across the road. Deli, grocery, laundromat restaurants and shops are a 5 min walk away.
  • Cozy, stylish and convenient location close to downtown, the Gorge and the beautiful Tamar Valley vineyards. Sparking clean and great hosts. Would highly recommend!

    Heather2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • With it's quirky/rustic styling, little treats (yum - fresh bread for breakfast!), a comfortable bed with big cosy pillows and a beautiful garden setting you will feel right at home in Anthony's studio. During our week long stay the resident dogs, Bam and Augie, kept us amused and greeted us like long lost friends when we returned home each day. They are gorgeous.

    Jill2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • The guest suite is a fantastic combination of stylish and cozy. There was a super helpful folder of local recommendations on what to see and do, as well as the best cafes and restaurants in town. Communication was easy and timely, check in was a breeze and Anthony was a welcoming host. If we’re ever back in Launceston we’d definitely stay here again!

    James2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had three nights at this stylish and comfortable studio. Access was streamlined via a key pad, and the thoughtfully designed studio is in a lovely old Launceston weatherboard, set in a beautiful garden. We were greeted warmly on Friday evening by August the young springer spaniel, and enjoyed every aspect of our stay - from the super comfortable bed, to the lovely walk-in shower, great wi-fi and streaming services, as well as a convenient location just out of the city. An added bonus was a Sunday morning walk on a nearby pathway along the scenic Tamar River.

    Jane2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and plenty of street parking. We loved the freshly baked bread - the smell of it was super welcoming when we stepped into the house and it was delicious! Overall, great place for a stop over with yummy food and attractions nearby.

  • The studio was so stylish and set in beautiful gardens. It had everything we needed and more - we were very lucky to get fresh bread and eggs from the chickens for breakfast.

  • Anthony and Leeroy's space is lovely. So stylish and cozy. A basement unit that still feels airy and bright! The fresh bread was a lovely tough, as were the eggs. The garden was beautiful and I wish we had more time to enjoy it. As a basement unit it did have a bit of noise from movement upstairs but it didn't affect our stay. Thanks so much Anthony and Leeroy! Would definitely stay again!

Kate and Liam’s home is located between Exeter and Glengarry, in the picturesque Tamar Valley. This area is located in Northern Tasmania, and is only approximately 50 minutes from the Spirit of Tasmania, and 30 minutes from Launceston.
We have recently completed the renovations on a unit that we have on our property, which has now made it a very comfortable and warm environment. The unit is not attached to the main house, so you will have full privacy. And free wifi :-) Guests will have full access to the unit, which has a small bathroom (with shower), queen sized bed, fridge, oven, toaster, kettle, and basic kitchen utensils. Guests will also have access to the outside entertainment/deck area. Our property is a hobby farm where you will see chooks, livestock, and a small cherry orchard. We also have pet dogs, which are friendly and spend most of the time inside the main house. We are happy for guests to bring your dog/s along, however prior notice is requested and they must remain on a leash at all times when outside, and they don’t rest or sleep on our furniture. Please note that the unit is comfortable for 2 people, however we do have a portable single bed if more than 2 people are wanting to stay, to a maximum of 3 people (the 3rd person will be an extra $20). Please contact us prior to booking so we can assist.
  • This was a perfect place to explore the area from, Kate and Liam were excellent hosts, and the apartment was spotlessly clean and comfortable - has absolutely everything you need! Would love to stay again!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, so much so we ended up staying a week ! The cabin is well designed, spacious & very well equipped. Liam & Kate were extremely flexible and able to bring our accommodation forward at the last minute. Despite them both being extremely busy, communication before and during our stay was excellent and they provided us with some great local travel tips. The location itself is very central to the Tamar Valley, Launceston, North Coast and the Western Tiers region, so it makes an ideal base. Thanks again Liam & Kate, we're sure we'll be back!

From there, the view is lovely. Julia added a lot of small details here and there that make the apartment very cozy and home-like. Julia was very responsive and nice to talk to. We would always stay there again and recommend others to stay with Julia!

Michelle’ s attention to detail, ensures that her guests “ want for nothing” and can totally relax in a unique place , that feels like “ home from home”. We highly recommend it to others and would love to stay again, if ever we are in the area. Michelle is really friendly, helpful and approachable. A great value room, close to the city. Looking forward to having you. This is a small room on a steep busy street with no parking. You may have to park 300m away. There is a gravel driveway with difficult access and a big step. We are a young loud happy family of 4 upstairs with 2 dogs, but we are not ninjas. There is another Airbnb next door adjacent to the room. The heat pump is next to the bed and may be noisy. Please note we are in the middle of renovating.
Quirky and tidy minimal space, great budget accommodation. Can sleep 2 comfortably, and a port-a-cot with baby. You have your own bathroom. Separate access. You will get a unique key box code to enter the room with. NBN wifi available, minimal kitchenette facilities, microwave, hotplate, toaster, kettle, Crisp white sheets, towels, amenities, and a comfortable bed. Walk 20min into town, less to the supermarket, cafes and bars. There is steep hills though. Bus stop 500m away every 30min. Please keep the noise down after 10pm as it may disturb other guests. Eg. TV noise.

This is a beautifully restored old methodist chapel moved from another country town on to this site in the 1970's. Many hours have been spent on the planning and making this place to stay, a very special experience.
This is a unique opportunity to stay in a building that has very old and modern features. I have created this space to give a relaxed atmosphere. It is quiet, comfortable and restful.
My neighbourhood in a country town is friendly and relaxed. It is quiet and relaxed with a mixture of very old and very new architecture. Walking is a pleasure, which can take you into the village or back into the rural area. There is a racecourse with racehorses training every day, which is a particular favourite for me.
  • The Chapel is well located, clean and a lovely place to stay. Catherine was very accommodating. Would definitely stay again if in area.

    Robyn2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Catherine is a lovely host and her little dog Bosen is a delight. Nice cottage garden and comfy bed.

    Tom2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Catherine's lovely accommodation is exceptionally good value. Lots of care has been taken to make the space warm and inviting. I heartily recommend this beautiful place

    Ruth2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Loved my stay. Catherine was very welcoming and The Chapel was very comfortable, clean and cosy. It had everything I needed. Will definitely recommend this place.

    Felicity2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Catherine is an amazing host and Bouser is just adorable. Only spent 4 days here but would be back in a heartbeat. Lovely little touches, complete privacy but lovely chats when i did see her. If you are visiting this neck of the woods, I definitely recommend staying here

    Louise2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Catherine is so helpful and the space is perfect. Such a cute building and garden. There were lots of personal touches that made this my favourite air bnb to date.

    Sophia2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Sparkling clean, lots of lovely touches from bead, butter, biscuits, tea, coffee and so much more. You’ll need a car, but otherwise lovely to be slightly off the beaten track. Highly recommended but for a minimum of 2 nights!

Imagine …. Deep cool forest, a beautiful natural swimming pool, quiet peaceful wilderness, organic garden, cozy cabin and an off grid lifestyle. I have endeavored to make Ladybird Cottage ideal for your short stay. Located on the edge of Christmas Hills Forest Reserve and surrounded by old growth forest but close to famous Tasmanian food venues and just a 10 minute drive to the centre of Deloraine, Ladybird Cottage offers you wilderness and solitude next to amenities.
This cottage is fully self contained with kitchen, en suite, spa bath (heaps of hot water for it too) and it is warmed by a modern pellet wood heater. There is an upstairs and downstairs verandah for your exclusive use and quiet well mannered pets are welcome. I respect your privacy and you get unhindered access to my property. Please note though, my house is right next door. (see photographs) Surrounded by an organic garden, there are organic vegetables and berries you are welcome to pick and eat. Currently harvesting; raspberries, loganberries, blackberries, blackcurrants and gooseberries, as well as cucumber, tomato, potato, lettuce, forage greens and herbs to add to your cooking. A BBQ area is also nearby if cooking outside is your thing. There’s heaps of bird life and wallabies to see and this is a great spot to relax and just chill out. Ladybird Cottage is self sufficient, off the grid and powered by a stand alone solar system. There is plenty of power, unlimited broadband internet, satellite TV and Netflix for your entertainment. There is also a (share) washing machine you can use if you need to do laundry. Current desert recommendation: Currently in the garden .... Sadly it is the end of winter and the garden is rather bare. There is always forage greens and there are some potatoes. I sincerely hope you enjoy your stay!
Located at the end of a road and surrounded by dense forest, this place is a wilderness experience. Bush noise is about the only sound you will hear most of the time.
  • Outstanding!

  • Staying at Rob’s place felt like the Airbnb of old - amazing hospitality, personal touches, and a truly memorable experience. His little cottage is the perfect size for two, spotlessly clean and surrounded by greenery. It feels 100 miles away from civilisation, but is actually super convenient - especially if you’re catching the ferry from Devonport. We loved Rob’s relaxed vibe, meeting us briefly at check in and making us feel welcome to explore the property and let our dog roam about. The beautiful spring water bath is dreamy. The bed gave us the best sleep in weeks. The kitchen is generously stocked. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer! Thanks so much Rob.

  • Berries and peaches were plentiful on this charmful quaint airbnb . Equipped with everything you need. Only regret is only booking for the one night. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

  • Very sweet little no frills cottage. Surrounded by gorgeous bush and lots of birds coming to visit at the windows. Hot tub is a delight and the swimming hole looked lovely. Very thoughtful touches with home baked bread, eggs and milk provided. Would happily return for a longer trip.

  • Roberts cosy cabin was a delight! The tranquil surrounds and delicious harvest of fresh berries were a fantastic treat that made our stay delightfully special.

  • What a great little hideaway this is. So cute and quiet. Communication was excellent and nothing was too much trouble - touches such as fresh milk, bread and eggs made us feel very welcome. Perfect get away for a couple. Wish we could have stayed here longer.

  • A true escape from the daily routine! This apartment, with its entire back wall being made of glass is the ultimate spot to relax and unwind. The views are spectacular, and if you're lucky you may even sight a mob of wallabies at dusk. We did not get a chance to try the distillery but the winery did not disappoint. Will certainty return!

  • beautiful little unit right atop a lovely winery, a short (and scenic) drive out of Launceston. There may be a few spiders and moths around (the norm in Tasmania), but rest assured the insect spray is in the kitchen cupboard.

  • A great central location to explore the Tamar wine region from. Beautiful views and lovely facilities. The Pinot tasting flights and platters at Tamar Ridge are perfect to finish off the day.

  • I could write several paragraphs about how wonderful this place is, but here are a few stand-out points; Helen is a fantastic host who was easy to communicate with and responded to all my questions immediately. The place itself is has spectacular views of the Tamar river & surrounding vineyards. It’s ideally located for anyone looking spend the weekend visiting local wineries or just relaxing. Very clean space with great amenities and a comfy bed. Certainly recommend, and will definitely be back!

    Kyle2018-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great modern apartment in a vineyard. Excellent wines, and good place as a base for daytrips.

    Kees2018-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay in the Tamar Valley. We stayed in apartment 12 which had an amazing view of the valley and Tamar River, even from the beautiful bath tub! The apartment was spotless and very comfortable with everything we needed. It is only a short drive to shops and well located for trips to wineries and other tourist locations. Tamar Ridge Vineyard, a short walk from our door has stunning wines and worth the stroll. Our host Helen communicated with us well prior to our arrival and when there was an issue with the air con, they came the next morning (Sunday) and fixed it immediately. Totally recommend this accommodation.
