Places to stay in Waynesboro
Our cozy cottage is nestled in the heart of the historic district and is perched on a hill overlooking 6th Avenue. You’ll be located on the grounds of a historic Laurel landmark home that is just a quick stroll away from downtown and the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art. The perfect getaway for anyone wanting to experience HGTV’s Home Town.
It's a complete cottage, a separate building from any others on the property. Newly renovated, historic property. Fresh and clean... with all the extras of a luxury hotel room, plus more! 1 comfy queen size bed with memory foam mattress and a sofa that folds out to a futon and one blow up mattress for overflow - with all the necessary bed linens. One bedroom, living room, bathroom, laundry room and kitchen space...and it is even more spacious than it looks in the pictures!
The historic district is home to the most beautiful houses, parks and stories. We love taking long walks on the brick streets and seeing all of the families out and about, enjoying our Home Town as well! Great shopping, food and fun in downtown, just a few steps away! We are a couple blocks from Amtrak train station, so don’t be surprised if you hear the train coming through several times a night. Also, it’s very safe in this neighborhood.
  • A clean, well kept and lovely place to stay in a charming southern town.

  • I don’t know if there’s a way to truly express how perfect of a cottage this is! It is unbelievably cute, comfortable and convenient. The most special little touches were in every corner. My only disappointment was not being able to stay longer. Pictures don’t even do the space justice; it’s pure perfection! ❤️

  • Great location. Great amenities and nice cozy space. Enjoyed our stay there.

    Guy2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful accommodations and incredible location. Attention given to details for comfort of home. Loved all of the decorating ideas. Very close to downtown and we really enjoyed walking right out the front door into the gorgeous neighborhood.

    Louisa2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What a fabulous stay in Laurel! In a nutshell, the cottage is beautiful, sparkling clean (and I am really picky), a very comfortable bed, snacks, easy check-in, water and coffee provided, many local recommendations, chairs outside to enjoy the sunshine, and bikes available for exploring this gorgeous neighborhood. The owners were so kind and helped us through an emergency that extended our stay another day. We enjoyed our stay and if we return to Laurel, we will definitely stay with Mallorie!

    Michael2020-02-28T00:00:00Z

This 1920's treasure holds nearly 100 years of special memories for our family. It has recently been lovingly renovated and restored and is very comfortable. Much of the original shiplap, beaded-board, and heart pine floors have been retained and restored, as well as much of the original exterior and front porch. There are two bedrooms and two baths downstairs. Upstairs offers a loft play area and a small bedroom with two twin beds. This home is located just 5 minutes from downtown Laurel.
Our Little Farmhouse has a beautiful screen porch that is sure to provide much rest, relaxation, and conversation. A fully equipped kitchen, desktop workspace, and laundry area will provide space for most anything you will need to do during your stay in Laurel.
The Farmhouse is located in a quiet area just outside Laurel and is only 2.9 miles from beautiful downtown.
  • Beautiful farmhouse straight out of Southern Living magazine. Favorite part was the screened in porch and the rocking chairs.

    Shai2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • The farm house is such a lovely place! The screened in porch is amazing! Denise has thought of everything!

    Heath2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • The space was incredible, and I think the pictures don't do it justice. Great light throughout, beautiful windows. The screened porch was one of our favorite places to visit, however the den and dining room combo were also used a lot. The kitchen was marvelous and had everything we needed. The bedrooms were all stocked with extra blankets, which the ladies appreciated. The beds were very comfortable, but I was in heaven once I stepped in the master shower. I think I might have to install one of those at my home. Incredible. The child staying with us LOVED her private upstairs space with the games and 2 beds. She was so content, and enjoyed playing basketball too. Thoughtful decor and Mississippi touches everywhere. Safe location, great price, and we couldn't have made a better choice for our stay. Thank you for having us. We will definitely stay here again.

    Lauren2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This farmhouse is a absolutely perfect! Great location and even better amenities. So peaceful! Location feels like the country but is maybe ten minutes (if that) from downtown Laurel. Denise definitely put thought into every detail! Highly recommend. Will definitely be back!!!!

    Julie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This charming farmhouse is very comfortable and super clean. Though it is minutes to downtown Laurel you have the feel and quiet of the country. The screen porch is a great place to relax and listen to the rain! Denise and Steven are the best hosts and very responsive to any questions or needs. Can’t recommend enough!

    Andrea2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, roomy and super clean farmhouse minutes away from downtown Laurel!

    Andrea2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Denise. We enjoyed our trip to Laurel. My little group loved the laurel Christmas parade. We watched hometown and then saw some of the people from the hometown show downtown. Everyone in Laurel was very friendly to us. We enjoyed eating at the loft and something sweet. It is a very charming town and we are going to return for the loblolly festival in October.

You are within walking distance of fabulous dining and personal shopping and the Amtrack is only 3 blocks away. Perfect for in between stops.
The space is large and roomy, with a historic feel. Walls are the original brick and all of the floors and ceilings are the same as they were when laid down in 1923. We just cleaned them up.

  • Sweet Something loft apartments are all breathtaking starting even at the bottom of the stairs. The architecture, chandeliers, original floors, ceilings and brick walls take you back in time enabling such a lovely stay. The smell of fresh baked sweets and bread compound its beauty. Should you get one of the two rooms that open to the upstairs deck, you’ll surely not want to leave! Joseph and Jamie are super hosts for certain!

    Lisa2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here! Room was as described and nicely furnished! Very cool old time charm and awesome bakery downstairs!

    Michael2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed 1 night for a short weekend trip. We cannot stop talking about how much fun we had. We got chocolate covered strawberries and a blueberry muffin from the bakery as well as breakfast the next morning. It was the coziest coolest place to stay. We have watched Hometown on HGTV and even saw Ben and Erin. We walked around 6th Avenue and the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art. If you like a chill, interesting, historic weekend and love watching HGTV Hometown, we would definitely recommend this stay! 😊

    Mindy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay! All that we were expecting and more.

    Teresa2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The charm of downtown oozes into the suites. We felt safe and cozy the whole time we visited Laurel. The bakery downstairs does not disappoint on any level. The suite was clean, quiet and charming. It was exactly what we needed to refresh and recharge.

Superb Cottage seen on HGTV's Home Town - Season 3. Situated close to Historic Downtown as well as being close many restaurants and amenities. Freshly renovated on a well taken care of 1.4 acre lot of land, it's the ideal retreat for a quiet and peaceful stay.
One of the houses seen on season 3 of HGTV's Home Town, it's freshly renovated with many up to date comforts (central heating and air conditioning, gas fireplace, instantaneous hot water heater), but with the nice cottage southern charm that you can only find on historical properties.
  • This is an absolutely charming cottage! If you are planning a trip to Laurel, you should book it! Short drive to downtown Laurel maybe 5 min and also close to main road with shopping and chain restaurants. I prefer to eat local and there was plenty to choose from in the downtown area. Owners and Liz, the house manager were available and quick to answer questions. Check in was simple. You could walk into the historic district if you choose but it might might be around a five mile walk to see everything. The cottage was very clean and had a super comfy couch. Awesome a/c as well since it gets pretty hot there. Thank you Patrick and Peggy for opening your home! And thanks Liz for being fast to respond to texts and offering help with anything we needed!

    Jenni2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • It is the perfect vacation spot!

    Jeffrey2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Patrick and Peggy's place is a home away from home. It is very cozy, warm and welcoming. It has everything you could possibly need and more. The beds are very comfortable, nice bathroom (with a amazing claw foot tub) and spacious kitchen. Upon arrival check in was very easy. Liz was absolutely amazing, she helped us alot with ideas of things to do and places to see. Overall our experience was amazing and this is the perfect place to stay during your visit in Laurel. We will definitely be back!

    Tessa2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home and space, as a big fan of hometown, the option to stay in a house done by Ben and Erin was amazing, Liz is an amazing host and we would love to stay again

    Andrew2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is the place we will come back to! Laurel is such a friendly and fun place to visit and explore, but our stay at The Peggy's House was the highlight of our trip. We loved the spacious bedrooms and the welcoming kitchen and dining room. Liz, our hostess, thought of everything to make it feel like home, welcoming and peaceful. The house was spotless and the beds were some of the best we have slept in. We appreciated the thoughtful snacks and cold waters, too. Our personal tour of Laurel was so much fun and the company so enjoyable! I highly recommend staying at The Peggy's House! We will definitely be back!

    Lisa2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to relax and enjoy Laurel. Liz was a great hostess. The place is extra clean and they have thought of all the extras you might need. I have stayed in other vacation rentals and this one is one of the very best. I would highly recommend!

    Gayla2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • What fun it was to stay in the house that we watched on an episode of Home Town! The porch area was so inviting! We spent several hours out there, enjoying the hammock. Inside, everything was thoughtfully provided -- magazines on the coffee table, a world map to show where we and other visitors are from, the cool retro refrigerator had cold bottles of water, there were snacks and food items for our use, etc. Liz is the perfect hostess who will do whatever it takes to insure your visit is special! The house was comfortable and inviting.

    Terry2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy warm cabin feel. Nice size for a couple or 5-6 people. The street is busy but still private. Liz is very helpful and knowledgeable. The house is decorated with a charming appeal. Very clean and comfortable.

  • This house pleasantly exceeded all our expectations! It seemed newly renovated and smelled freshly painted, and VERY tastefully decorated! The bed was amazingly comfortable and we loved the modern kitchen best of all!! The bathroom (containing the laundry machines as well) was beautifully done and well thought out!! Allen's Bungalow is a new build, directly behind the house accessed through the alleyway. It's noted in the finale episode of Home Town Season 3, but was not featured. Inside you'll find heart pine flooring and quartz counter tops creating a modern, yet cozy decor. Lighting can be adjusted from bright or downplayed for a softer effect. Exterior areas are controlled with motion sensor lights. There is a one vehicle private parking pad next to the porch entrance and a small patio area.
This space is 500 square feet of perfect!
This property is two blocks from the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art and a short five blocks from the heart of historic downtown Laurel shopping and restaurants. It is also in the heart of the historic walking tour of homes. The walking tour brochure is available upon request at the museum. It is a quiet, family oriented area.
  • Centrally located and by far one of the best cottages. Judith is a wonderful host and looks after your needs

    Diana2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Well appointed bungalow. Very convenient to everything in Laurel. Judi even provided snacks and drinks which was a very nice touch!

    Thomas2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend booking “Allen’s Bungelow” for your next stay in Laurel. Our visit was a perfect experience. Judith has thought of everything to make the visit comfortable and convenient. She was a great communicator, although we really didn’t need to bother her because of a great set up and manual. We will definitely be back!

    Beth2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Allen's Bungalow. A home away from home nestled into the heart of Laurel. Easy walking distance into town while also tucked into a quiet spot in the neighborhood. Clean, beautiful, great amenities and extra caring touches. Thank you Judith.

    Holly2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute and very clean!

    Katie2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time on our short visit to Laurel and Judi's bungalow was just what we needed. The check in was simple and easy and the place was clean, comfortable, and close to everything. It was an easy walk downtown or through the historic neighborhood (and past all of the Home Town houses) and convenient to the museum. There were plenty of amenities provided, well beyond what was required. If I had to complain about anything, it be that the bed was too soft for my liking (but I am a bit of a goldilocks) and the vast selections of Keurig pods could've included a black tea. But even so, this place is a perfect place to stay to experience Laurel.

    Daniel2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location, super clean and comfortable, a great cozy getaway!

    Debra2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Allen's Bungalow was a cute and comfy place for a nice little get away for 2! Judi went the extra mile by providing the extra touches of snacks and drinks along with any toiletries you may have forgotten. In a great spot in Laurel!

My home is very welcoming and comfortable. I have TWO bedrooms available to guests and two large loveseat couches for children if necessary, and I also have a twin size air mattress. Coffee and teas and muffins or bagels, etc. You will have access to the dining room, family room, the breakfast nook and my large backyard with two spacious decks and a swing set/playset. Bocce ball! Less than 2 miles to downtown Laurel and historical district!
You will love staying in this quiet neighborhood that is less than 2 miles from Downtown Laurel and the historical neighborhood. It has a country feel with the very spacious backyard, blueberry bushes when in season and other very beautiful plantings... some in raised beds. A very serene park to walk in is just a few blocks away. I love to give my guests the "Bonnie Tour" of Laurel
This neighborhood is quiet and safe. Neighbors who have lived here for over 25 years, tell me that nothing negative has ever happened here. Private and quiet and yet a short drive to downtown and other areas of interest. GREAT barbeque restauruant and Southern cuisine restaurant near my home!
  • We were so blessed to be guests in Bonnie's home! Her place is so bright and cheerful and she has a personality to match! She loves Laurel and her local tour was so fun and informative. The deck and back yard provide a nice place of rest and serenity. We would definitely love to come back. We are "Home Town" fans, and the town and locals were so friendly and a truly charming southern town. Her dog Lucy is a super host as well!

    Lori2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Bonnie's place is unique in that she makes you feel like family. Her special touches make your trip to Laurel very memorable. Her place is only a few minutes from the various sites that you'll want to see while visiting Laurel. She, Lucy and her place make the trip to Laurel be one that you won't forget. We'll definitely will be back.

    Charles2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • 5th time staying here, left refreshed and rested as always. Bonnie is the perfect host and her place is great in every way.

    Marilyn2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Bonnie was a great host. She gave us a tour of Laurel and showed us all the “Home Town” houses and gave us so much history of Laurel. We would not have seen of done near as much without Bonnie. The house was clean and comfortable. Had a great time talking with Bonnie too.

    Carter2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We ❤️❤️❤️ Bonnie and her sweet pup Lucy. This is our 2nd time staying here and won’t be our last. You couldn’t find a better host than Bonnie. And boy, if you want to learn about Laurel, Bonnie is who you want to meet!! If you’re lucky, she’ll be available to give you the HGTV Home Town tour 😀. Her home is super comfy and so is the bed. She will make you feel right at home. This is our home away from home!!

    Mallory2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Bonnie is a personal host, very welcoming. I plan to stay at her cottage again in the near future -- convenient for when I am visiting family in Hattiesburg.

    Pamela2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, comfortable and feels like home! The bed is very comfortable. I came through town last minute and was a bit later than usual. I had a long drive from NC and was looking for a place to lay my head, and got so much more. Bonnie accommodated me willingly and with warmth. I thought I would be tiptoeing to my room to be as quiet as possible until the morning. Instead,I was offered kind conversation, a listening ear, a nice glass of red and a refreshing walk with her and Lucy, her sweet dog. She sets your personal code to access the house, a security touch that was extra reassuring. Her home is a short driving distance from downtown. Bonnie is a delight and will what you want; the run of her home and solitude or good conversation breakfast. Lucy, her pup, is perfection. No barking or scariness at all. If you’re extra lucky maybe you’ll get an impromptu tour of this popular spot , meet wonderful people, and start planning your return like I did. She is a perfect host. Bonnie puts the heart in this popular spot from HGTVs “Hometown”and I am thrilled to have made a new friend.

    Tracey2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Bonnie is very knowledgeable about the city of Laurel. She personally drove us around to see many of the homes Ben & Erin have renovated. She is full of life, and you could tell she loves her new adopted city of 3 years, Laurel. She is an asset to the community and to the airbnb organization. Highly recommend her for your consideration.

  • Our experience was a positive one. Muffins, soft drinks, coffee, tea, popcorn, furry welcoming committee...all provided. The access to downtown Laurel was a breeze. Our visit was during the coronavirus scare and as a result we spent a more time in Magnolia Hideaway at night. We appreciated the games, television with all the perks, and the beautiful garden. The place is spotless. Look for Shuff’s (season 4) signature in the closet from 1992. Beverly

  • Sandy's place is great. The extra touches, muffins, cold drinks in the frig, coffee, tea are warm and welcoming. The space is much larger than expected. The bed super comfy. Location is just about 10 minutes to downtown.

  • Sandy’s place was super clean and I was very impressed with the entire space! The Magnolia Hideaway was very conveniently located near everything we wanted to do in Laurel. Sandy was very thoughtful when it came to adding extra touches to the space to make you very welcome, such as muffins, granola bars & drinks! We had a great stay at the Magnolia Hideaway & would definitely stay again when we visit Laurel in the future!

    Chelsey2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Sandy was the perfect host! She made us feel so special and was at our beckon call at any moment. She was very quick to respond to any question we had. Her southern hospitality was a breath of fresh air! Magnolia Hideaway was adorable and charming with beautiful decor touches through out. It was very roomy, clean, cozy and comfortable. The outside patio/porch was a treat with it’s own little host, Belle! Belle, is Sandy’s little dog who greeted us with enthusiasm and made sure we got in and out safely! The weather turned out beautiful and Sandy was very informative about sites and downtown going ons in Laurel. Sandy has a folder that has many suggestion for restaurants, site seeing suggestions, shops, and history of downtown Laurel. My daughter and I will be looking forward to staying at Magnolia Hideaway on our next visits to Laurel. Sandy definitely rolled out the red carpet! She and Belle made us feel right at home!

    Amy2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Sandy’s place is well thought out and offers a lot. The location is perfect. We loved her little dog Belle who greeted us so warmly every time we came in or out. See you next time!

The Blue Rabbit Hole welcomes you! Our newly renovated cottage is located in the heart of historic downtown Laurel Ms. right where all the action of HGTV’s Home Town is happening as well as just a hop, skip and a short walk for downtown festivities, shopping, restaurants, and more. Join us for a lovely, fun, best of the best southern hospitality welcoming stay! Our cottage is full of happy and full of fun! Please let us know if you have any special needs, we do our best to accommodate!
The Blue Rabbit Hole is our newest little family member. She is a studio style, tiny cottage for four decorated in bright, bold colors. Wondering how she got her name? When we first saw the cottage, she was all overgrown with a dense thicket. To get to the front door, you had to follow a low dark thick oval shaped path. The tree limbs over the cottage hang low as well, so it made it extra dark so you thought you were going down in a hole. My first thought was the Rabbit Hole from Alice in Wonderland. I hope you find it as magical as Alice found the rabbit hole on her adventures. The Blue Rabbit Hole features a Queen bed, sitting area with sofa and chairs, open to kitchen w/bar area, and full bath. We offer a fun breakfast and snack bar for you to enjoy as well as a selection of coffees and teas. If you will be staying more than a day or two Please shop local to stock up on your favorite treats. Feel free to use any kitchen items while enjoying our home including the refrigerator inc. We appreciate you cleaning up after yourself. We do try to leave info on events going on locally for your review.. We also have a map hanging in the common area, we would love you to mark your hometown on. We appreciate any conversation or communication to make your stay here the best ever! If you should need anything, we are only seconds away, just go thru the air bnb email communication system. I also have my phone number posted at the property. Remember, The Blue Rabbit Hole is our tiny beloved cottage that is all yours while you are here.
The historic district is home to the most beautiful homes, tree lined streets, parks, and a terrific downtown. We love seeing all the renovating and creating that HGTV’s “Home Town” has done. They are in their fourth season. We are so excited! Great shopping, food, events, festivals, and fun in downtown is just a few steps away! We are also a couple of blocks from the Amtrak train. We are right in the heart of everything that is going on here in Laurel.
  • Beautiful slice of Southern heaven! We enjoyed our stay very much! Sally was just lovely to work with?

  • Rickey's place is a duplex (or triplex?) and we stayed in Apt A which is closest to the parking spot. Even though I had seen photos of the apartment, I was pleasantly surprised about the stylish decor. It was comfortable- between the nice ceiling fans and the heaters, we were able to stay cool during the day and warm at night. We were told by some family in advance that the area was a bit run down. There was also another reviewer that mentions this- but the economy in the south was hit hard in the mid 2000's. A lot of the south is this way (abandon houses and homes in need of repair) and even though we live in a city now, I'm used to rural living. I never felt unsafe. The simple truth is, Rickey's Place was an outstanding value. We stayed 3 nights and SAVED money compared to a hotel, while having the privacy and space of a home. We were able to make a pizza in the oven one night, store drinks and food in the fridge, watch a movie- the things that made it feel more like home than a hotel would.

  • The airstream is perfect! It’s exactly what you would imagine, a cute new airstream with everything you need for a quick stay. Great for spending much of your stay out and about. The chairs outside were a great touch, since the weather was so nice while we were there. If it was warmer we would definitely have taken advantage of the pool. If your staying on a Saturday night grab some pastries or other quick eats for breakfast Sunday morning, as the coffee shop downtown doesn’t open until 11:00. I would totally stay here again!

    Sidney2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We actually had to cancel just a few hours before our check in but the hosts were awesome about responses and the place just seems like it’s going to be amazing when we get to reschedule our trip. We are definitely planning to rebook this place!

Our cozy, family home is set in the country about 15 minutes outside of Laurel and about 20-30 minutes from Hattiesburg. It is a dear home that has been in our family for many years. Our home is ideal if you like the peace and tranquillity of the country. Neighbors are far enough away enough if you want to feel more secluded, but close enough if you so desire. There is a huge backyard and a back porch (with a grill) to sit out and enjoy each other's company and watch beautiful sunsets.
Two people can sleep in each room. If you need another space for sleeping, the couch in the living room is very big and very comfortable.
Secluded and in the countryside. Very peaceful.
  • This is just like the reviews say, an amazing place away from the busy city but close for an easy drive. Way better than any hotel we would have stayed in around Laurel area. It was just my wife an I staying and felt like home.

    Travis2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay. It had everything I needed while in the area for work. I would stay here again.

  • Amanda's place is in a nice, quiet location. Not too far from towns, but far enough to get away. Lots of dishes, pans and supplies to do your own cooking if that's what you want. Lots of towels and wash cloths, and all the toiletry supplies you would need if you forget your own. Was very comfortable here for the weekend. Thanks Amanda.

  • Happy Blue has all the charm of a Southern craftsman home. With a beautiful & cheerful decor the home has lots of original features: hard wood floors throughout, tall ceilings & millwork combined with a modern kitchen & master bath. There was plenty of room for our whole family to stay. Our Host, Sally provided lots of creature comforts like milk, juice coffee, tea & snacks—which our kids loved, and was easy to communicate with. Happy Blue was walking distance from Downtown Laurel—another plus. We would defiantly recommend Happy Blue to anyone.

Break away from it all and enjoy spending a little time at a slower pace on our 40 acre horse-powered produce farm. You will fall in love with our 240 square foot tiny house with its wrap around porch. Amish rockers complete the space making it an ideal place for that morning or evening cup of coffee. Enjoy touring the farm and watching our Percheron draft horses at work or young colts playing. Chickens, goats, and sheep round out the animals to check out here on the farm.
The "tiny house" is a comfortable little nook set in a pecan orchard on our farm. It's clean lines and wood grain will welcome you with open arms. It sports a queen bed in its bedroom and two twin beds in its sleeping loft. While the queen bed is accessible by anyone the sleeping loft is navigated by a ship's ladder and accessed by the more agile guest. The space boasts a microwave, coffee pot, refrigerator, full size bathroom.
The farmstead is a unique location with period log cabins, a general store, horse barns, gardens and livestock. Depending on the day and season, guests can watch man and beast going about their work on our horse-powered produce farm. The farm's produce is sold in the general store, area farmers markets, and through our CSA program. Fulmer's General Store offers a daily plate lunch from 11 am to 2 pm and sandwiches are available after that. The general store is open 8-5 Monday thru Saturday. The farm is located 30 minutes from Hattiesburg's restaurant, shopping, and universities.
  • DON’T hesitate, book this super cute tiny home! We only stayed one night on our way to Gulf Shores, but it was seriously perfect and my daughters loved it. The house is perfect, so clean and cute and much bigger than expected. The host, John, went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The farm is to die for, full of sweet goats and sheep, chickens, horses, and cats. We couldn’t have had a better nights stay. Book NOW, you won’t regret it!

    Tiffany2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place was AWESOME! Exactly as advertised. John answered my call at 8pm when I was 30 minutes away and greeted us when we arrived. The ‘tiny’ house is on their family’s horse powered farm. We were able to walk around and see all the animals. John checked on us as we walked to make sure all was OK. He came early the next morning and gave us cinnamon buns. The place has WIFI. Basically, if you’re looking for a cute place, that is off the beaten path, but still has TV and WiFi, choose this place.

    Brian2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Our family unanimously agreed that this was one of our favorite Airbnb stays. The tiny house was so cute and clean and had everything we needed! Our family of four fit just fine. Our teenagers liked the loft! The farm is so cool and we enjoyed seeing the horses, walking around the general store, and having coffee on the front porch. To top it off, we were shown incredible hospitality by John and his family! They went above and beyond and are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Highly recommend!!

We had members from three branches of the family tree, and, in concert with the available guest house, the size and layout gave us plenty of opportunity to be together as well as the ability to retreat to private spaces when we wanted.

It is also handicap accessible with a ramp on the side and a walk-in shower. The loft features two single beds (see photos).

  • Great little cabin getaway. Exactly what my wife and I were looking for. Tucked away in a great little spot. Super clean! Well maintained. I have already been recommending it to all my friends.

    Joshua2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Ashli was a great host. Easy to contact, with very quick responses! The cabin was very spacious, plenty of room for my family and I. Very clean, kitchen stocked with everything you may need to prepare dinner. I rented two cabins, one for my parents, the other for my bridesmaids in prep for my wedding the next day. Perfect setup for a girls weekend of relaxation. Due to the rain, we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoors, but we would definitely love to come back! 5stars!

    Felisha2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a cute cabin! My three kids loved staying up in the loft with the twinkle lights. Many thanks for a great stay!

    Leigh2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place if you want to be out of town that far. Price is a little too high for what you get but Ashli has a cute little cabin and kids would love the loft.

You’ll love our place because of the quietness, serenity and relaxation. Wrap around porches with rockers or screened-in porch with fireplace. Great place to write a book or paint. Pond on premises...labs would love it, can catch and release! We're 15 miles from Laurel and 18 miles from Hattiesburg, MS - home to the University of Southern Mississippi (USM)! Our place is close to PGT, Howard Industries and Jones College.
Throw open the french doors to the outside and relax on the sun loungers and enjoy the outdoors!
We literally live in and among the woods, no sight of neighbors. We are close enough to civilization, if needed, but won't be desired. Great Tex-Mex restaurant!

  • Pattie was an amazing host. Her communication was outstanding. She was always prompt with her responses when I had a question or needed help. She was so friendly and personable. My husband and I felt comfortable there and loved the house which felt like a home and the location was perfect. Her house was so lovely and warm and inviting. Bed was also very comfortable. We would not hesitate to recommend booking any properties that Pattie had. Loved that she had Roku in our bedroom and logged in to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and many other channels.

It was great to have a pet friendly place to stay, we enjoyed building a fire in the evening and star gazing. We didn't have an event, but peeked into the event space, it is lovely! Highly recommend this place!

  • The Hey Y’all cabin was very charming and just what our big family needed. It is in any out of the way, quiet and beautiful place. Very clean, nicely appointed, cabin vibe. Stay was perfect. We look forward to staying again.

    Brian2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at the cabin. We were only there for two nights for a wedding. We wish we had more time to enjoy the fire pit and horseshoes. Our girls loved walking around and checking out the goats across the way. There was a little gas station/restaurant just down the road. We enjoyed a little country breakfast there. We already shared the listing with several family members who thought it would be perfect for them for a little get away too! The listing was accurate. It was nice having two bathrooms and the cabin felt bigger since everything was placed just right. Thank you again for a great stay!

Our cozy carriage house is nestled in the heart of the historic district and is perched on a hill overlooking 6th Avenue. You’ll be located on the grounds of a historic Laurel landmark home that is just a quick stroll away from downtown and the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art. The perfect getaway for anyone wanting to experience HGTV’s Home Town.
It's a complete cottage, a separate building from any others on the property...the entire second floor of a historic carriage house. Newly renovated, historic property. Fresh and clean... with all the extras of a luxury hotel room, plus more. 1 comfy queen size bed and two twin size roll-away beds. One bedroom, living room, full bathroom, laundry room and kitchenette space...and it is even more spacious than it looks in the pictures! This space is only accessible by a flight of stairs. New central air and heat!
  • This is my third stay at The Laurel Cottages. The accommodations are as lovely as you think they will be and their southern hospitality is the best! Do yourself a favor and book your visit today!

    Wayne2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had our first AirBnB experience at The Carriage House. It’s a cozy setting with a living room, kitchenette and private bedroom. The bed was very comfortable! And the place was very clean. It’s located in the beautiful area of historic homes. We would’ve walked more but it was raining when we were there and my foot is recovering from an injury. We highly recommend a stay here at The Carriage House!

    Sara2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Carriage House is the perfect place to stay in Laurel. It feels like you are staying in your college roommate’s house...that is getting ready to be revealed on an HGTV show! All the extra little touches make this such a welcoming place. The house was spotless and beautifully decorated. The bed was quite comfortable and great pillows. Extra towels were a bonus. Mallorca and Jim were great hosts. Very friendly and checked on us several times. The location is right in the historic section so it’s gorgeous. And close enough to downtown if you don’t mind walking a bit. We will definitely stay here again.

    Tim2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful location. Great atmosphere. Very comfortable.

Historic Loft located above The Laurel Leaf, one of Laurel's most charming and unique businesses. Its open, stylish space offers visitors a tasteful downtown experience. The loft also sits only steps away from HGTV Home Town stars Ben and Erin Napier's Laurel Mercantile Co and is in walking distance to other small-town favorites!
Soon after Laurel was established in 1882, it quickly began growing in the lumber industry. By the early 20th century, it processed and shipped out the most yellow pine in the world. This pine formed what is known today as The Laurel Leaf building. From the colorfully comfortable entrance to the beautifully furnished bedrooms, the loft boasts a chic 2500 square feet with a warm and sophisticated atmosphere. Over the years, many businesses have occupied this building. Built in 1904, it opened as a HUB store (general merchandise store), then became the first Piggly Wiggly in Laurel. Later, the store became the annex to a high-end retail store known as Fine Brothers, and then became Smith & Son, a retail clothing store.
  • The location is excellent, we could walk to restaurants and downtown.

All stays include breakfast from Sweet Somethings Bakery of listed guest. Situated in the heart of Downtown Laurel, MS, and overlooking Central Avenue. It is old and historic, has a cozy atmosphere with wood floors and original beaded 16' ceilings. The Bed and Breakfast is within the city of the new HGTV special "HOMETOWN" with Ben and Erin Napier.
Awesome neighborhood with a lot going on. We are in process of revamping our beautiful city into a more wonderful small town. Come down and enjoy all of it. While your here you will the see the spirit of each businesses building up each other and the united community we have become. Plenty of shopping and eating facilities.

  • My husband and I had a great time staying at Sweet Somethings Bed and Breakfast. When we arrived, there were some leaks in the roof of our room due to the tornados that had come through a week or so before. Joseph was very helpful and accommodating and moved us to another room as soon as possible. We also really enjoyed eating breakfast at the bakery and being able to walk to everything in town. The town was extremely charming and we enjoyed the restaurants, shops, art museum, and walking through the historic district. We hope to return!

  • We loved this place and it was located just in the best spot for walking around the town. The bakery smells coming from below were outstanding. Our breakfast in the bakery was super. We definitely recommend this wonderful place. Great experience...🎉
