We hope you enjoy our space. We provide you with bagels from our local store or homemade with cream cheese. There is private entrance to a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom all private. We have area that if you need to park a truck and trailer for enjoying our mountains. We own a kennel on the property. This is a great place to stay and have your pet close for a minimal fee to go for a walk with you. We request that your pets stay in the kennel area to help keep cleaning costs down.
Please remember you are staying in our home not a hotel. We live on a farm with fields surrounding us.We have a farm house appeal and are secluded even from our small town. We are off the beaten path on a dirt lane. The view of the stars from our trampoline at night can't be beat. Our day view is just as amazing with fields, wildlife, and surrounding mountains.
The town we live in is very small so if you are coming in later at night you might plan on grabbing something to eat before you get to town. The restaurants in the area are closed by 9. There are a couple of places we would recommend in neighboring towns that are open until 8-8:30. The grocery store and the gas stations are closed by 9 also. The scenery within a 60 mile radius will take your breath away. You can hike in or near Capitol Reef with the red rocks, lizards and cactus or you can hike into an alpine lake high on Boulder Mountain to enjoy some trout fishing. There is also the beauty of Fish Lake National forest with the Pando clone, fishing, and hiking. A short trip will take you to Bryce Canyon in all it's beauty.
  • Jim and Toni were excellent hosts that made us feel welcome in Loa, UT! They were happy to help with everything we needed and more! Very quick to respond to any questions we had as well. Their place is in a super mellow part of Utah and is a great stay especially if you are visiting Capitol Reef.

  • Great place to stay when traveling. Check in was very easy and everything was exactly as described.

  • A quiet retreat if passing through town. The family is so kind and made their space feel like our home. 10/10

    Christopher2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend! The farm property is so charming and has great views of the tiny town Loa. Toni and Jim are fabulous hosts and the suite is complete with all the items you’ll need. Roku, giant tub, electric fireplace in bedroom, easy check in, comfortable and very clean.

    Heather2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodations were amazing. Very easy to access our room. We had no issues finding the place or getting in our room. The farm is adorable with the cutest animals.

    Amber2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Affordable place tucked just outside of town. Stargazing off the back porch was amazing. Super convenient to board my dog when I wanted to go into Capitol Reef to do longer hikes that weren’t dog friendly. The local cream cheese and bagel for breakfast were delicious. Thank you!

    Allison2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jim and Toni’s was the perfect spot for our family. The hosts were nearby but we felt like we had privacy for the time we were there! The space was uncluttered and clean for our mobile baby. In the morning, we were able to visit the farm animals!

    Laura2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely spot with the animals and the space was so inviting. I felt right at home and Jim and Toni Kay were great hosts. Stay here if you get the chance!

Our cozy homestead is a great place to enjoy one another’s company and to relax from a day of traveling and exploring. Come stay with us and enjoy our beautiful rural community. From Capitol Reef NP, to Lake Powell, there is bound to be an adventure here for you!
    The entire house!
One block from town grocery store, two blocks from the Post Office, three blocks from the local steakhouse. Quite, and quaint.
  • Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. This charming house was so comfortable and clean. The sheets were so soft and the beds so comfortable. It was perfect after al long day in the parks hiking. Thanks for the dinner recommendation. We had the best burgers. Sorry about breaking the lock. Whoops. Thank you for being gracious about it.

    Karen2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is quite a rural location, which was perfect for us. We loved having breakfast on the sun porch and staring out at the hills in the distance. Very cute, peaceful, unique little place. It was a quick trip from there to Goblin Valley State Park. We're glad we stayed.

    Jared2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cute home ! Super clean very easy to navigate the town is super friendly. The host was super responsive and kept me up to date. The whole towns power went out but it was super cool how everyone just was chill and kept us up to date and it was out for about an hour. So even with this hiccup it was so fun and relaxing and gave some silly memories to our trip.

    Alexis2020-03-11T00:00:00Z

This little place is bright and cozy. It has all the comforts of home in a quiet little town close to Capitol Reef, Lake Powell, & Goblin Valley. Play all day and have a wonderful place to relax.
Hanksville is very rural, it's a long way to any major shopping or services. However everything you need is available locally. Hanksville is a wonderful place to find an adventure, like hiking slot canyons, riding dirt bikes or ATVS, seeing the wild life or checking out the National or State Parks.
  • Nice and clean. Great location!

    Mary2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Was blown away with the apartment. Our expectations were exceeded. The pictures doesn’t do the place justice.

    Hannah2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a sweet place to stay just a half ok hour from Goblin Valley State Park and Capitol Reef National Park.

    Zak2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • If you're on your way to Capitol Reef, Lake Powell, or hiking in Goblins or The Swell.... don't hesitate to consider staying in Hanksville at Granny's nook. Perfect place for a family or a few friends to stay. Only one bathroom, but 3 nice bedrooms, a spacious family room, and nice full kitchen. Everything you need as a base of operations for a few days of adventuring !

    Diane2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely great! Curtis was a great host and the home sparkling clean. There was hot water and everything you might need, including a washer and dryer. I would recommend to everyone!

  • Hanksville is a great base for exploring Robbers Roost, the Southern San Rafael Swell, Goblin Valley, and the North Wash canyons. This house is super comfortable and we had a great stay. Restaurant options are limited so consider cooking in sometimes. Some super friendly cats were hanging around outside!

    John2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The space is super comfy & spacious. Having laundry available was awesome & there were small outdoor cats to greet us when we got there, which just added to the charm!

We lovingly refer to our Economy cabins as "Tuff Shed" cabins. They are very basic with one Queen bed, small TV, desk and chair. The cabins do have heat to keep you warm on those crisp desert nights. Our Economy Cabins are camp cabins, so there is no restroom or kitchen within the cabin, but you will have access to our Bath House Facilities, and we have charcoal BBQs available for our guests. No Pet Allowed. No same day check-in reservations after 6 PM. Checkout is 10:00 AM local time.
  • The cabins are pretty bare bones but had everything we needed. The bathroom seems far away in the winter when you need to go in the middle of the night, but it's definitely a step up from camping. The hosts were extremely nice and accommodating!

  • Perfect location! Great communication and comfy stay!

    Jessica2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect affordable place to stay right outside of Capitol Reef. The bathrooms/showers were exceptionally clean and the small heater kept the room cozy despite the cool temps outside. Great place to stay!

    Lexi2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great stopping point between Bryce Canyon and Arches National Parks. Very close to beautiful Capital Reef National Park.

    Marie2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great value for accommodation while visiting Capitol Reef National Park. Clean and comfortable room with a bed, desk and chair. Comfortable mattress and especially comfortable pillows! Beautiful view outside the window of fields, trees, cows and mountains. Cabin is very private even though another cabin is nearby. The layout is well thought out. We visited in October and the only thing I would say could be improved is the heating in the room. The heater's highest setting is still quite low and we were cold at night even though we both wore sweaters and warm sweat pants to bed. The bathroom does not have heat and the shower room heat is also set quite low and is preset. Other than that, great stay and we would recommend it! It's probably incredible in the summer time!

    Nina2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was a 👍🏻 place for me to camp out over the night, do laundry, walk into town and get set for the next day at Bryce.

Newly updated single family home with plenty of space for your stay! Our Farmhouse is 2500 square feet all on one level. It has central heating & air, huge living spaces, comfy beds & large bathrooms. Close to Capitol Reef, Lake Powell, San Rafael Swell, Goblin Valley, Henry Mountains, slot canyons, Mars Desert Research Station, Burpee Quarry, Swingarm City and some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. A small market & places to eat close by.
Fruit trees surround the house and there is no lawn. If there is fruit on the trees and ripe, help yourselves, keep in mind we do not spray pesticides so you might be sharing with a tiny friend. We do have some firewood available by the fire pit, use what you need but please leave what you don't for the next guest.
The neighborhood is quiet and you probably won't see much of the neighbors around as houses are far apart. Most people are very busy during the spring, summer and fall with lots of travelers coming through Hanksville. This is a rural setting, don't expect many of the conveniences of the city, but that's what makes us a great place to visit. You will, however, be able to find all the necessities you need. Also being very rural people tend to save and collect things others may consider "junk" so don't be surprised by a little clutter around town. Also there is no public transportation, but you don't need it, you can walk anywhere in town in about 10 minutes.
  • Great place. Curtis was easy to work with

    Kaleb2020-03-21T00:00:00Z

  • This cabin is heaven. You are nestled by the canyon, and there are amazing views all around. The bed is insanely comfortable. The tv and couch are a cozy place to hang out, and we loved star gazing at night too. Nice big fridge and there’s even a dishwasher, so it’s easy to make some nice meals in the cabin. I can’t recommend this place enough!

    Teasdale, UT, United States

The Red Rock country with spectacular views lies at the heart of the most stunning country imaginable. Hike, climb, ride, photograph, and tour around our wonderful backyard — Capitol Reef. We are centrally located between Utah’s other national parks — Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, and Zion. The location is breathtaking, and the overall experience, well…unforgettable. Minutes to Capitol Reef and yet just off Scenic Byway 12, designated as one of the “World’s 10 Most Beautiful Highways.”
Welcome to our Teasdale, Utah (Wayne County) cabin with STUNNING views everywhere you turn! After your epic days spent exploring the surrounding natural wonders, you can return to a brand new, yet rustic cabin. Then on to cook a nice meal in the kitchen, or run back to Torrey (4 miles) for a prepared meal. Then, let the evening show begin by watching a colorful sunset bounce off the red rock bluffs, relax by a crackling fire and enjoy a magical night under the stars. Away from the bright lights of large cities, Teasdale’s night sky is a wonder to behold, it’s millions of stars shining bright and clear. Afterwards, drift off to sleep in a comfortable bed in anticipation of the next day’s discovery. The cabin is a great place to experience the best of Utah’s stunning landscapes and a perfect base camp for your southern Utah adventure. Capitol Reef National Park and Utah’s Big 5 National Parks are best explored over multiple days. Wonderful indoor and outdoor space. Easy access but complete privacy just minutes from Torrey's shops and restaurants, Boulder Mountain's trails and Capitol Reef's awe-inspiring landscapes. Majestic views of The Boulder Mountains, red rock cliffs and more peace and quiet than you'll know what to do with. Sweeping views of red rock and mountains. Take morning/evening walks in our little hamlet/neighborhood. The joy of travel involves getting away from it all, but never has the very notion of escape seemed quite as liberating as it does here. I hope your time at our home, surrounded by the beauty of dramatic red rock and starry nights will inspire you to find a stillness, away from the busyness of life. Our 750 square foot home is a perfect respite after a day's adventures. Our home does not have air conditioning, but at 7100 feet elevation it usually cools off quickly. We also have ceiling fans in each room. Each room has an electric heater and there is a fireplace in the living room. There is pretty good coverage from your cell phone provider. A small coffee pot is provided. All linen is provided. Yes, we do have Wifi.
Escape the noise, and heat and enjoy sweet desert air of Teasdale, Utah. At 7100 feet elevation, nights are blissfully cool. The high elevation means it is usually delightful weather in the summer, no need for air conditioning. A cozy, secluded, contemporary cabin nestled between the Boulder Mountains and Capitol Reef National park where the quiet can be deafening. This high-desert oasis is rustic and eclectic, with wood interior and a wood burning stove. A cozy, yet roomy feel with an open floor plan has a cozy fireplace and an open kitchen. It offers two unique bedrooms each individually decorated with custom furnishings. It sleeps up to 6 people – 2 queen beds (one queen in master bedroom and one queen murphy bed in common area for extra guests) and two single beds in bedroom number 2. The beds, mattresses and linens are of high quality for a good night’s sleep. A large-screen TV in the living room with movies provided. This is a very diverse, rural area. The main grocery store is 17 miles away in Loa, UT. In the summer in Torrey, from April thru October, there is "The Chuck Wagon" open every day, where you can get necessities, basic foods. There is 1 liquor store in the county, in Bicknell about 6 miles away - again not open on Sundays. You can get beer at The Chuck Wagon, though.
  • We loved staying here. It’s only a couple minutes from some local food place but we went in the off season so not everything was open. It’s only like 10 minutes from Capitol Reef NP. The place itself was very clean and super cute. The small water heater wasn’t a problem for my group but due to some rainy and windy weather we were unable to enjoy the patio and fire pit and since there is no oven we had to get creative on how to make some of our food. But other than that our stay was awesome and we will definitely be staying here again!

    Liz2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay! We have always love the capitol reef area come in and camped nearby several times. Having your retreat made going down in November much more pleasant! The place is well described in the ad, and it is a great cozy retreat to finish a day of adventures in the area!

Sweet, comfortable, two bedroom cabin (480 sq ft). Sweeping views of redrock and mountains. Elevation 7100. Hardwood maple floors, wood stove. No TV. No kitchen, exactly, but most cooking needs met. Quiet. Small outdoor patio with table and chairs. Charcoal grill. Take morning/evening walks in our little hamlet/neighborhood. Wifi. Day hikes in Capitol Reef Park. Amazing star gazing at night. Local park with swings & jungle gym a block away.
Two bedroom cabin. Sweeping views of redrock and mountains. Elevation 7100. Ideal for a single person, or a small family. 2 couples might find it a bit small. Hardwood maple floors, wood stove. Cooking/eating amenities include: small fridge, microwave, burners, coffeemaker, electric hot water maker, toaster, pots & pans, dishes, utensils. NOTE: no oven or kitchen sink. 2 bedroom cabin: 1 bedroom - queen & 1 bedroom - 2 singles (very comfortable beds). Down comforters. NO TV. Decent internet access - streaming works fine. The cabin sits about 50 ft from the main house. You can have as much privacy as you like, or come by for a cup of tea, when we're in town. Teasdale is a beautiful little hamlet of about 150 people, right next to Torrey, UT which sits on the edge of Capitol Reef National Park. The high elevation means it is usually delightful weather in the summer, no need for air conditioning. Mid-June through mid-July is bright and sunny in the 70s and low 80s, typically. In later July and mid-August is the monsoon season, so we typically have thunder showers in the afternoon/early evening with spectacular cloud displays. Capitol Reef Park is full of hiking trails and on the western edge of the Four Corners Region. It is one of the lesser known national parks because everyone heads to Arches, Bryce and Zion (which makes us happy since it keeps the numbers of visitors down : ). What people often don't know is that Arches and Zion are lower in elevation and really hot mid-summer - while we are quite comfortable! No pets in the cabin. We have 1 very precious, polite dog, Lucy. She is always in our fenced in yard or in the main house. You are welcome to come say hi - she loves kids. This is a very bucolic, rural area. The main grocery store is 17 miles away in Loa, UT. In the summer in Torrey, from April thru October, there is "The Chuck Wagon" open everyday, where you can get necessities, basic foods. There is 1 liquor store in the county, in Bicknell about 7 miles away - not open on Sundays. You can get beer at The Chuck Wagon, though.
Our little hamlet of 150-200 people is beautiful, off the main road, great for morning or evening walks. Has a nice park with swings and jungle gym for kids.
  • A delightful and peaceful place to stay with great access to Capitol Reef National Park and Grand Staircase Escalante. Pam helps solve problems and is a great communicator. I’ll be back.

  • Everything is fantastic but the lack of real counter space or kitchen area makes it a bit tough to cook. If that's not something you're worried about then this place is perfect. Very close to national parks and about 2.5 hours from skiing.

  • Very nice location to Capitol Reef NP. The hosts checked if we need anything even they were out of town. The cabin has everything we need. Even though it's small, but feel very cosy. It's very nice for those who don't cook much.

  • This little gem is just the place to be your home base as you explore near and far. This was our second time staying at Pam's - we slept well, enjoyed our privacy, as well as sitting outside on the porch in the evening under the full moon.

  • A great cottage close to Capital Reef National Park. Great value for a family to stay and have privacy. As the description says, there's not a full kitchen, so be prepared, but it worked just fine for us.

Premier location! Tinker Creek is a quaint A-frame cabin, walking distance to everything Torrey has to offer, and only a few miles from the entrance of Capitol Reef National Park. With red Rock views and mature trees surrounding the property, Tinker Creek is truly a serene get-away.
Tinker Creek is a duplex cabin with spacious grounds. The larger, renting side has one private master bedroom with a queen bed and a beautiful loft with two full beds with new, comfortable mattresses. The cabin has a full bathroom downstairs that is ideally set up for groups and a half bath upstairs in the loft. The other side will be ready to rent in May 2020, at the soonest. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, complimentary laundry facilities, AND Wifi! The cabin is surrounded by outdoor patios with ample seating during fair weather and space to wander and experience nature all year long. No smoking or pets, please. This includes dogs who stay outside. Torrey is the perfect base camp for outdoor adventures. Below is a list of some of our favorite places to explore in the area: - Capitol Reef National Park (10 minute drive) - Fishlake National Forest (10minute drive) - Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument (1 hour drive) - Hell's Backbone Road (1 hour drive) - Henry Mountains (1 hour drive) - Zion National Park (3 hour drive) - Bryce Canyon National Park (3 hour drive) And when you return from your day trips, there are fantastic restaurants just blocks away! Most notable is Cafe Diablo (closes during the winter), which is a short walk from Tinker Creek.
Torrey is the quintessential small town, with just 243 permanent residents (as of 2017). There is one main street going through town (Highway 24) and our home is half a block off the main street. There are lots of great restaurants and shops in town during the warmer months, and a few restaurants stay open during the colder months.
  • My family of three loved staying at Matt and Laura's cabin. The grounds around the cabin are pretty amazing with an assortment of different patios and decks to enjoy the outside while plenty of trees offer a sense of privacy. Inside the cabin we loved spending most of the time in front of the wood burning stove reading one of the many books that they have on-hand or playing some of the board games that they have available. The kitchen had everything that we needed (including many of the little things that help with making meals away from home - coffee, sugar, oil, spices, etc). We knew from the cabin description that there were only two stools to sit at inside and while the March weather was too cool at times for us to eat outside at the large patio table, we didn't feel like this was any kind of problem for us. The comfortable beds and linens as well as the recently remodeled bathrooms added just the right level of modern luxury to the cabin. Finally, I have to say that we really appreciated Laura's quick and helpful communications - providing us lots of information on what to expect, and getting back to us quickly when we sent her questions. Overall, it was a great stay and I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone.

  • What a cozy cabin! The trees around the property create this isolated in the woods feeling which is so cool after a day of hiking. The hosts are so friendly and easy to communicate with. Thanks for the great stay!

  • Perfect place to stay for exploring Capitol Reef and beyond. Unique AFrame structure, lovely and thoughtfully appointed interior, great fireplace for warmth on cold nights. Matt was super responsive and answered all questions within five minutes. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return!

    Debbie2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This a-frame is so cute! I loved the loft area and all the books to read. It felt like we were really staying in a forest even though we were mostly in the desert. It's a perfect location to hop into Capitol Reef and we also even drove down to Grand Staircase Escalante to hike Spooky and Peekaboo. In the winter the town was really quiet, but I liked that.

    Leslie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The hospitality and property was amazing!!! I loved the host they were wonderful to work with!! The property was so beautiful and I loved all the sitting areas, bridges and fire pit. It was truly a charming wonderland!!

  • This place is such a little gem! My kids loved it! It was a nice escape from reality! We were there in Feb. so it was very quiet and a lot was shut down. So, I recommend bringing food because there isn’t much open. We loved the TUB and fire place ❤️

    Chey2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed staying at the cabin. It was a unique experience for our family to stay in a classic A frame cabin. Enjoyed all the board games and equipped kitchen.

    Matt2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is so adorable. It was perfect for five of us to stay for three nights while exploring Capitol Reef. Perfect distance to the park! The kitchen is well stocked with all things you need to cook, plenty of towels, shampoo/conditioner provided in the shower, etc. We felt very well provided for in every regard. They have a binder with maps and menus from local restaurants. We got a dusting of snow while we were there which made it so beautiful. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

  • We have stayed at Linda & Martin's place before and it is always a pleasure. The home is modern and well-designed to maximize the experience of the beautiful landscape. Kitchen is amazing and well-stocked with spices and basics. We will return!

  • Such a great place, great location, and wonderful hosts.

    Matt2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved this place! It was so comfy and stylish with everything we needed.

    Jessica2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Linda and Martin have really thought of everything, they are spectacular hosts! I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at an Air B&B as well stocked as this place. We had such a great time, and hope to visit again in the warmer months.

    Shalyn And Mike2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • I’ve gotten used to pet-friendly Airbnb’s being a little dingy and I was expecting the same at Linda & Martins place but I was pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful new house with all the modern amenities and conveniences that make this really more like a spotless new home to stay in rather than an efficiency suite. I got snowed in there one day and had a great day cooking, watching the snowfall from inside the glass sliders, and binge watching cable tv. It is super close to Capitol reef and also Route 12 which is the scenic byway to Bryce Canyon through the Dixie National Forest and Grand Staircase. The 1.5 hr scenic drive to Bryce Canyon was as stunning and fun as the park itself. I had a great time there in the dead of winter so I can only imagine how great it would be when it’s summer and there’s more businesses open!

    Dana2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! Linda could teach a class on how to be an Airbnb host! This house had everything you could ever need on your trip including waffle mix, waffle maker and real maple syrup! The views from the house are amazing! The house was so clean and cozy ! The temperatures were chilly for us and we were so comfortable in this house. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return just next time for a longer stay since Capital Reef NP is a gem without all the crowds of some of the other national parks.

    Emily2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a true gem. We stay at many vacation rentals and this is one of the best. The place feels brand new and the amenities are wonderful - plenty of staples, comfy bed and blankets, and they even have slippers and robes. Communication with the owners was easy and always super responsive. The view is lovely. Perfect for Capitol Reef adventures.

    Dana2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for exploring Capitol Reef Country! We loved the hike just down the street and the short drive into Capitol Reef. Enjoyed relaxing on the back porch with a great view and terrific stargazing. The owner thought of EVERYTHING a guest could need - fully stocked gourmet kitchen, chargers for electronics, toiletries, local hiking guidebook. Hope to be back again!

Cabin will be vacant starting 4/5 3pm and will have at least 48 hours to allow for “decontamination” (in addition to cleaning & sanitizing products) although it is extremely unlikely previous guest and housekeeper are ill. Rental Description: Private Western chalet amongst the pinions overlooking Torrey. Patios surround two bedrooms with kitchenette and a 3/4 bathroom. Tucked away in a central location near the intersection of highway 12 and 24 . Plenty of parking including RVs.
Hello Potential Guests, A note about the Covid-19 outbreak: Capitol Reef is the least visited of Utah’s national parks so you should expect to be safer here than at most tourist destinations. There are no known cases of anyone in our area being sick from the outbreak. We are taking extra measures to sanitize our rentals with disinfectants such as 70% isopropyl alcohol spray applied to all possible touched surfaces and all linens including duvets, shams, decorative pillows will be washed between guests. Visitors Centers are closed so I would be happy to answer any questions you have about certain activities/hikes. I will print out any maps or info you want and leave it in your rental for you. Please contact me about your concerns or anything at all. If you make a reservation and later choose to cancel please do so 5 or more days before your check in date. To have your “service fee” refunded because of illness or other outbreak related causes, contact Airbnb customer service. We hope to see you soon! RENTAL DESCRIPTION: This picturesque but small cabin best suits one couple or a small family with one or two children old enough to be comfortable with stairs. Groups of 3-4 close friends will be happy here but be warned the bathroom is not very private because it is very close to the twin beds and the kitchen. The bathroom is small with a shower only (no bathtub). There is no living room area or sofa.
  • Great place to stay if you want to explore Capitol Reef NP!

    Paige2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for visiting Capitol Reef. The guest house was simple, clean and comfortable. Communication was great and all our expectations were met.

    Cassie2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • My suggestion: Rent this house, then plan to spend an hour each morning languishing in the loft level bed, while the sun transforms the rocks on all sides of the house. The best way to start the day at Torrey before going off to visit the park. Terrific location, well stocked, great communication from Jon, no problems.

    Amelia2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • A great house in a great location.Jon provided us with everything and thought about every little detail. We liked the house decoration as well. We highly recommend this house.

  • This charming cabin is located just ten miles from Capitol Reef National Park and is also close to Torrey and several good restaurants. It's stocked with all sorts of amenities and is very comfortable and spotlessly clean.

    Chris2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was close to Torrey and capital reef. The views were amazing and it was a bit cool outside but the outdoor living spaces were awesome. 4 of us enjoyed the great decor and felt right at home. Our host was wonderful too I highly recommend this place

    Karen2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute cottage... clean and comfortable. Great location to access town, restaurants and the park. Loved having dinner on the back patio!

    Brenda2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • This spot is fantastic. Great location close to Capitol Reef and Torrey. We didn't walk into town, but you probably could during the day. The house is much bigger than expected- I stayed there with my husband and mother-in-law for 4 days and it was comfortable. Excellent outdoor spaces to chill, have snacks, read and even stroll around the grounds. Jon and Meaghan had all the basics for bathroom (ample towels & tp) and the kitchen. There is no oven so we prepped meals accordingly. The fridge is larger than a dorm fridge and is large enough for the gigantic amount of groceries we brought. Rim Rock Restaurant and Capitol Reef Inn are EXCELLENT places for a meal. Side note for the area: I would recommend bringing all food items you can- the Chuckwagon is great in a pinch, but will not have great variety or specialty items if you are wanting to cook great meals. Capitol Reef is a wonderful and weird place. If you have never been here, you will not be disappointed!

Our log home is 3 blocks from downtown Torrey. 4 miles to beautiful Capitol Reef and scenic highway 12. Seasonal nightlife includes local natural history, culture, and live music. The natural area brings wildlife into our backyard orchard. Great for bird watching! Home is rustic and eclectic, all wood interior with wood burning stove. Great place for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Smoke and pet free, we use natural soaps and cleaners for your health. 1 block to town park.
The apartment is rustic with all wood and/or rock interior. There is a queen size bed that can sleep 2 and a couch that can sleep one small-medium adult or child comfortably. Apartment and bathroom are not wheelchair accessible. There are a few stairs to navigate coming in to the apt. and also up to the kitchen and bathroom. Bathroom is attached to the kitchen and is small, but functional, with a custom-tiled walk-in shower. The small kitchen has an electric 4 burner stove top and oven, a toaster, coffee maker, crock pot, and a small dormitory style refrigerator with small freezer section. The kitchen is stocked with basic dishes, pots, and pans needed to cook and eat, a few spices, oatmeal and cold cereal for you to prepare if you choose. Coffee and tea are available as well and fruit from orchard when in season. Bring your own milk. There is a wood burning stove as well as an electric heater. Electric heater should be pulled away from wall when using. If using the wood burning stove remember to pull the flue out just a little to get it started and going well. Instructions for using the wood burning stove are on the wood box in the apartment. Fire starting materials and wood will be available for your convenience. Please take all precautions when starting and using a fire. If you need advice, please ask. Our BnB is just across the street from a fringe wooded area, where deer often bed down at night. Our east window faces the woods and sometimes you can see deer coming and going to our orchard property or to other places in the neighborhood. The deer frequent all parts of the property, eating fruit from the orchard in season, alfalfa, and wild greens in the yard. The fruit orchard and the canopy of mature trees in Torrey bring in an abundance of birds for viewing.
The apartment is in the valley of Torrey, between Boulder Mountain to the south and Thousand Lakes Mountain to the north. North views are of the redrock cliffs and knolls of Torrey, with Thousand Lakes Mountain above. Torrey's elevation is 6837 ft. above sea level. Torrey has a beautiful combination of redrock cliffs, knolls, pinyon and juniper forest, and sage and rabbit brush desert scrub. The area has been referred to as high desert or cold desert, due to it's elevation and cool temperatures, fall through spring. The apartment sits opposite an open lot with a small wooded area that deer often bed down in at night, a meadow, and a small wetland area, based on the irrigation ditch that runs through town. This open natural land so close to the apartment brings wildlife and an abundance of birds into the area and property. We have kept our yard free of pesticides and let it grow wilder than most do, to facilitate our yard being used by the local animals and birds for food, habitat, nesting material, etc. We have noticed that the birds, deer, ants and squirrels have all been eating from the 90 year old apricot trees just outside the apt. door. We are happy to share our property with our "deer friends and neighbors." Because the mountains and plateaus surrounding Torrey rise to nearly 11,000 feet, the town rarely experiences the heat that much of Southern Utah does. We do get rain occasionally -- mostly in July and August. If temperatures do get hot during the day in July and August, the nights cool off quickly. To the East, the Torrey valley drops down into the red rock country of Capitol Reef National Park (4 miles away), to approximately 5,500 feet in elevation. The Navajos and Utes referred to the beautiful multicolored rock of the "waterpocket fold" and surrounding area, as "the land of the sleeping rainbow." Torrey is centrally located for many Southern Utah adventures. Accessible within 1.5-2 hours drive are parts of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, and the canyons of the San Rafael Swell. Moab, with Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, is about 3 hours east. The Escalante Canyons are approximately 2 hours south. Bryce and Zion National Parks are about 3 hours south. Boulder Mountain to the South, Thousand Lakes Mountain to the North, and the Fish Lake area to the west and north, all have mountain lakes, streams and wooded areas. The area around Torrey is stunning in it's natural beauty and is a wonderful get-a-way from the city or the suburbs. Come to the "land of the sleeping rainbow." Enter the land of your soul.
  • Joy and Bernie’s place is quite charming, especially if you want a quiet place after hiking all day. My girlfriend and I stayed two days and LOVED the brochures/suggestions provided by other guests. The place is also cozy where you can sit on the couch, watch TV, or simply read a book. I can’t wait to come back and explore more of the national parks. I’ll look to stay at this place again!

  • Joy and Bernie were the best hosts. They gave us all the tips we needed to have an amazing visit at capitol reef, their cabin is located right next to the park making it so easy to enjoy the park. Their hospitality and lovely personality made us feel so welcome. I'd definately recoment them for a cozy amazing capitol reef vacation.

  • Joy and Bernie are great hosts. Thoughtful, caring and accommodating they made us feel at home and made our visit to Capitol Reef very nice.

  • This space was just a short drive from Capitol Reef NP. it was very cozy and had a fireplace that we used each night! We were also able to cook which was great because town was pretty much shut down for the season. They had helpful resources for the park and town as well.

    Kate2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I spent two nights in Torrey and had a great time and very comfortable stay at Joy and Bernie’s place. The location is a perfect jumping off point to explore Capitol Reef and some of the surrounding areas which is what brought us out to Utah from Denver. Joy and Bernie’s place was clean and particularly cozy with the wood burning stove. They were helpful with local recommendations as well, especially since some of the town was closed down for the winter season. Would go back in a heartbeat and will definitely be recommending this friends.

    Justin2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Joy and Bernies for three nights. The location is excellent for day trips in and out of Capitol Reef. Being it was the Thanksgiving holiday, we packed all our own food in the event local eateries might be closed. JnB's has a full kitchen that we used each night. We hiked in the park multiple days and came back to a cozy wood fire each night! Check in was a breeze, easy parking, close to town and the park. We wish we had more time to chat with Joy and Bernie as they seem to be nice, genuine, and interesting people.

Our guest quarters, on the second story above the garage, has a private entrance, one bedroom with three beds, a private full bath and sitting area. There is a microwave, coffee maker and small fridge but not full cooking facilities.
Conveniently located 11 miles from Capitol Reef National Park visitor center, two hours from Bryce Canyon National Park and two hours from Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park.
We are just a block and a half away from Torrey main street. There are seven restaurants and a small grocery store within a one mile radius, open during spring, summer and fall. It is a quiet neighborhood with a few roosters crowing, cows mooing or dogs barking in the distance. The scenery within a 50 mile radius will take your breath away. You can hike in or near Capitol Reef with the red rocks, lizards and cactus or you can hike into an alpine lake high on Boulder Mountain to enjoy some trout fishing.

  • This was the best place to stay, easy access to Capitol Reed National Park, clean, welcoming with a private entrance to come and go as you need. Carolyn was the best host, she showed us around, met us as we pulled up and was ready with several food locations for what to do in Torrey. I hope to visit the park again and would be privileged to stay here again.

Relax in our brand new private cabin within walking distance to the town of Torrey and 5 miles to Capitol Reef National Park. This tiny gem was built with love by our own two hands. Enjoy 360 degree views of the picturesque scenery in a quiet and peaceful setting.
Tiny in Torrey is a small cabin that sits on over an acre of land. This retreat is perfect for a couple looking for a serene get-away or perhaps a family of 4 (we may be open to additional small children). You can potentially fit 3 adults snugly in this space, but a 4th adult would not have comfortable sleeping arrangements. Vaulted ceilings welcome you into the main living area, creating a bright and intimate gathering space. There is one private bedroom with a queen size bed. In addition, the couch in the main living space pulls out into a twin bed. Unwind in the cozy loft, the perfect retreat for when you want to cuddle up with a good book. Or, if you just need to send the kids somewhere to play inside, the loft makes an excellent play space. If you need additional sleeping arrangements, we also have two 4 inch twin size fold out sleeping pads available in the loft. The cabin has a 3/4 bath with a tiled walk-in shower (no tub). The small kitchen has a double burner electric hot plate, french press coffee maker, toaster, crock pot, waffle maker and full size refrigerator/freezer. There is no oven in the kitchen. For outside cooking, there is a propane BBQ with a side burner. The kitchen is stocked with cooking pots , pans and utensils, basic dishes for four and mixing bowls. There is also an instant hot water dispenser (careful, the water comes out boiling!), perfect for that quick cup of tea, coffee and oatmeal. Enjoy the tranquil sounds of morning or a beautiful sunset on our quaint front and back porches. Relax on the front porch rocking chairs or dine on the back porch, which boasts an intimate eating nook for two. There is no dining area inside the cabin, but we do have 4 tv trays to use when the weather requires inside dining. The cabin does not have central air conditioning as it is rarely required in Torrey because of our elevation (6837 feet), but for those occasions when it warms up in July and August, we have ceiling fans in all the main rooms and A/C window units throughout the home. When the weather turns cold, there is electric heat to keep you warm. There is no TV at our cabin, but we do have complimentary WIFI. No smoking or pets please. This includes dogs who stay outside.
Torrey is the gateway to Capitol Reef National Park as well as limitless other outdoor activities. A few of these nearby remarkable adventures include: -Capitol Reef National Park (5 miles away) -Scenic Byway 12 (3 min away, this epic scenic drives takes 2.5 hours from start to finish with unlimited hikes, lakes, waterfalls and adventures along the way) -Bryce Canyon National Park (2.5 hours away) -Fishing on Boulder Mountain (Torrey's soaring neighbor to the south boasts 80 lakes, with nearby access from the back roads out of Torrey and Teasdale and also from Highway 12) -Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument (1 hour away) You can take morning and evening walks from the property down to the Fremont river (and possibly say hello to the goats of River Road) or across Highway 24 into the Sand Creek area which includes miles of trails and some spectacular rock formations. In the summer, the neighboring property is home to a herd of sheep and Jerry the Llama (self-named by us). Jerry can be shy, but if you have patience, he loves to come say hello. The town has many amazing food options, local music and a number of art galleries. In the summer, enjoy the weekly Farmer's Market on Saturdays in downtown Torrey.
  • Tiny is Torrey is so delightful. We were visiting capitol reef. Our kiddo loved the loft area we enjoyed being able to cook while visiting. The space is really cute and cozy. It is obvious how much live they put into building the house. Cody and Maile were delightful hosts who checked in on our stay and provided wonderful suggestions even amidst Covid-19.

  • GREAT OPTION FOR CAPITOL REEF! Can't beat the location. The cabins are simple but clean and nice. Showers and bathrooms located super close to the cabins. The staff are the best and super nice and helpful! They have gas fire pits you can rent for super cheap....and really....if you are going to capitol reef and you would rather sit in a hotel then around a nice fire pit outside a cabin then you arent doing it right.

The Sweetgrass Studio is 12 mi from Capitol Reef Nat Park + 22 NP/SP/Museums within a 3.5 hr drive. It's located above a private art studio until Apr 2020. A Coffee Shop Art Gallery will then open. The SG Studio building was built in 1873 as a mercantile, turned dance hall/school in the early 1900s. In 2005 its exterior was totally upgraded honoring the original historical period. All of the interior was constructed by a master woodworker. Wayne County is where to shorten your bucket list!
The Sweetgrass Studio is upstairs. It is accessed by a staircase inside the front door. Because of its age, the second floor is not handicap accessible. The space has an open floor plan with kitchen, living and dining in a common area. The ceiling is high and at its perimeter, angles with the pitch of the roof. The window sills are exceptionally deep due to the structure of the old stone buildings’ walls which are almost 18” thick. This all adds up to be a very dramatic and interesting space! The views are both of the town of Bicknell, Bicknell Bottoms, & the start of the Velvet Ridge. There is one private bedroom with a queen bed, ample closet and chest of drawers. Extra guests can be accommodated on the queen size sofa bed and in the loft. There is one large bathroom with plenty of storage, a long cast-iron tub with shower. The generous sized loft above the bathroom has 2 Twin XL sleeping mattresses. The loft is a great nook overlooking the apartment. It is accessed by a ladder. You can find this in the pictures. The kitchen is fully equipped with the typical amenities. You could comfortably cook here over any length of stay. The sink is incorporated into an island with bar seating for 3 for casual eating. The dining table will seat 6. Thursday nights from 6-8:30pm there is a group that practices South African Drumming in the workshop attached to the building. You will hear some drums being played.
**23 NP & SP & Museums in 3.5 hour radius!!!**

Secluded setting on the Fremont River. Walk-in basement apt. w/4 large windows--no stairs--overlooking the river. We've tried to think of everything you might need. Deck has a gas BBQ, table & chairs. Bathroom w/2-seater shower, kitchen fully equipped & stocked with some basic food items; flat screen TV & WiFi. At 7000 ft elev., nights are blissfully cool. House is on 2 acres and the river attracts coyotes, deer, birds, ducks, and muskrats.
As you can see from the photos, we are set back about half a mile from Hwy 24. The property is set on the Fremont River to the south and red rock cliffs to the north. The river is small by eastern, or European standards, but it maintains a host of wildlife.
Torrey is one of the sweetest, prettiest, tiniest western towns you're likely to see. We love it here. No close neighbors but close to town and the national park. There is only one liquor store in the county -- it's in Bicknell, 8 miles west of us.
  • Great location. Very good communication when we had trouble finding the house.

    Evan2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A little difficult to find, but good directions were given. Perfect for a night stay.

  • Beautiful stylish an open concept apartment. Everything is new. Had all the amenities needed for cooking. The scenery of the mountains outside was incredible. Nicely located near national parks. .Jan and Paul were perfect hosts. Responded quickly to us. And made us feel very welcome. I would absolutely stay there again. Buy your groceries in Bicknell.

Tumbleweed Manor is a great base for canyons and hiking. The surrounding area has the highest density of slot canyons in the world and is close to Capitol Reef, Goblin Valley, the San Rafael Swell, and Lake Powell. I have set up the house especially for groups, with a spacious deck, lots of room to hang out, games, and a great selection of maps and guidebooks. I'm keen to recommend trips, ranging from easy hikes with the family to full on canyoneering adventures with ropes.
The house is near the end of the road well off the highway in a *very* quiet town. There is almost no traffic.
  • Taco was amazing host. Quick responses and loved the maps on the walls

    dustin2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Taco gets 5 stars for communication. The home is just as described, and was super clean. We loved the comfy beds and pillows and warm water for showers. And the cupboard labels throughout the house were awesome. If you'll be canyoneering, the maps on the walls will be so helpful. We'd definitely stay here again.

    Jamie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is the place we stay for all our southern Utah fun. Close to everything. Bring your own food and drink as it’s a bit hard to find. Very worth it since the location is extremely centralized. We have been coming here each year now. Excellent Zen time and get away location.

    Sean2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for hiking trips. We went to goblin valley and Little wild horse. Taco was super on top of communication with me and gave me very helpful information. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you might need to cook. Lot's of space.

  • What an amazing spot! This is a perfect central location to explore the adventures of beautiful Utah! It is unbelievable how many items are available for use, everything is labelled and was very clean.

    Chris2019-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • This home was AMAZING! We were out and about during the days, but it was such a nice place to come back and relax. There is a wrap around porch that is ideal for watching the sunset and chilling outside. The views are breathtaking of the red rock hills to the green Henry mountains. Inside the house there are awesome maps of all the local areas on the walls to reference during your visit. The downstairs level was unexpected as it is only finished in the bedrooms, but it was extremely convenient to have those 2 extra rooms! The host and local contacts were extremely easy to contact and work with. We would definitely stay again!!!

CHECK IN AT THE MOTEL OFFICE. 4 unit motel on our 100 acre ranch. Enjoy the peace and quiet and the beautiful views. 5 miles from Torrey, Ut and 13 miles from Capitol Reef.
Off the beaten path and wonderful for star gazing. Two queens, not just one!
Two miles out of the town of Teasdale.
  • Room was nice and CLEAN which is a high priority for me. Nice new towels and new bathroom! Bed was soft, which is my preference. Pretty quilts on bed were nicer than in photos. Close enough to Capitol Reef to be easy to get to. Off main road so nice and quiet. So many stars at night! Fridge and microwave. No grocery store near by and restaurants close for winter so come prepared if come in off season. One good restaurant was open with excellent food. Would suggest a nicer chair to sit in for reading. Walls a little thin so hear people in room next door, but was not a problem as they were quiet. Worked great for me!

  • Place was clean, comfortable and close to Capitol Reef for touring....Host was very accomodating.

    Sue2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • A good-sized room with 2 very comfortable queen beds. Extra pillows. Bathroom extra nice: lots of hot water, special bathroom heat lamp heater, nice thick towels. Near Torrey/Capital Reef Natl Park, UT but out of town on a ranch so very quiet. Torrey has a nice place to eat, Capital Reef Inn.

    Carolyn2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect motel Airbnb stay with a great view! Linda was quick to respond and check in was easy - our key was in an envelope on the office door. The place was very clean and the beds and towels were so nice! It's just like staying in a motel - they even clean your room whole you're gone for the day which was a nice surprise. We would definitely stay again!

    Megan2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • All the conveniences of a motel (direct entry right from parking spot, entire unit to yourself), but with the feel of a fresh farmhouse B&B with nice decor touches. Very relaxing and quiet - out on a large ranch but only a few minutes drive from Torrey. A couple things to know: * Be cautious about the GPS location in Airbnb. If it doesn't match the Google Maps location for Cactus Hill Ranch Motel, then you may be taking a driving tour of the 100 acre ranch... * The number in the listing (3) is not the room number of the unit, so don't be thrown off by that. Go to the office as per the directions. * Booking is not auto-confirmed by Airbnb's system - Linda or staff have to confirm, so just be aware if you're booking in the middle of the night that you'll need to wait for your confirmation.

Local Visitor’s Centers are closed. I would be happy to answer any questions you have about certain activities/hikes and will print out any maps or info you want and leave it in your rental for you. To have your “service fee” refunded because of illness or other outbreak related causes, contact Airbnb customer service. We hope to see you soon!
  • This little apartment was comfortable and felt very spacious because of all the windows looking out into the desert setting in the foreground and the mountains in the distance. It was super quiet and we felt we had a lot of privacy which is important to us. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had all the cooking tool anyone might need to make nice meals. Spices and other condiments were provided as well. Really, it had everything a body needs for convenient meal prep and cleanup. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets because of being on the second level over the garage giving us a great vantage point. The pictures show everything just as it is. But there were a lot of little touches the pictures don’t show and they are evidence of warm hospitality.

    Tania2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect place to stay for our trip to the Capitol Reef area. The apartment/house is secluded and has beautiful views of the area. Much nicer than a hotel room on a highway. We enjoyed the clean and simple space with very nice towels, sheets and enough cooking supplies to augment our meals. It was quiet and comfortable. Nothing fancy but perfect for our stay. Our host was helpful and there if we needed her.

    Jaye2019-10-20T00:00:00Z

  • A beautiful, peaceful experience. Torrey Pines 2 we highly recommend! Love love loved it.

    Mel2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • The place suited our needs beautifully. The proximity to the park was a huge plus as we hiked every day. The kitchen has everything you need - even sharp knives, which is a first for a rental in my experience. It was so quiet at night. The grounds are gorgeous. We shopped for food etc. in Loa on the way from Salt Lake City and that was the only shopping we did. The apartment has all kinds of nice extras - there were a variety of herbs and spices, sugar for coffee and other kitchen tidbits. The place was spotless, there was plenty of hot water for showers and the bed was quite comfortable. Stay here.

Experience a brand new luxury Tiny Home, nestled in rural Southern Utah, redrock cliffs in the distance, busy Milky Way skyscape, in a quiet little hamlet on the edge of Capitol Reef National Park. From a distance the Tiny Home looks kinda ... tiny - but once inside, there's a feeling of spaciousness and light - high ceilings and lots of windows. It is really ideal for 1-2 people, but there's a comfy sofa bed as well for a 3rd person. Note: NO WIFI til April 2020, then 50mg. download.
Because the ceilings are high, it feels surprisingly spacious (432 sq ft). Beautiful wood paneling, hardwood floors, a pebbled shower floor, gas stove, tankless water heater, and a sizable deck are a few of the sweet elements to this comfortable, inviting place to chill after a day in the Park.
This is the neighborhood I always wanted to grow up in. A quiet little hamlet set off from the main road, walks around the block with our dog, visiting friendly neighbors, few cars, beautiful, simple, amazing night skies.

Communication went great, Steve and Jenny are very fast in replying and helping out with every question you have.

  • Steve and Jenny’s home is the perfect little getaway! Between all the thoughtful touchs, accessibility to the park, and the dark sky- you can’t beat it! We certainly plan to go back.

  • Dark Sky House is incredible. A stunning home in an amazing location. Steve and Jenny are thoughtful, responsive hosts. We didn't even mind the storm that kept us from going out because being inside was so great. Will definitely stay again!

  • We expected a stylish home in a beautiful location, based on the AirBnB listing, but we were nevertheless thrilled when we arrived. We spent a delightful three days and wanted to never leave. A beautifully appointed home, complete with a gourmet kitchen, in a location that cannot be beat. We cannot recommend highly enough.

    Mary2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place! Beautiful views. Great place to unwind and cook and have a glass of wine after a day of exploring. The special touches added to the house for guest comfort is top notch. I would come back and stay here in a heart beat. Interior is modern and very comfortable. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay!

    Da2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • If you are in any way hesitating about staying at Dark Sky House, don’t. I have stayed in well over 50 Airbnb’s and this really is in the top 5. The house is incredibly stylish, immaculately clean, has incredible views, is private and comes with so many amazingly thoughtful touches, from comfy blankets to keep warm while sky watching to a fully equipped kitchen. And did I mention the night skies? Utterly captivating and beautiful to sit outside and look up at the night sky. Highly recommended. This place restores the soul.

    Matt2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • I always look for the line “pictures don't do this place justice” when reading air bnb reviews— and let me say, these pictures are pretty incredible and no, they don’t do this place justice. Wow. Do yourself a service and stay here- if you’re so lucky to get the opportunity (I don't doubt that DSH will be booked, as word gets out about this treasure). Steve and Jenny went above and beyond in every detail of this home. The beds are plush, the bathrooms are spacious, the decor is enviable, every detail of the kitchen is everything we could ever want in our own dream kitchen. And the space- the views- ahhhhmazing! This is a house with touches of love and kindness and respect for the earth and sky spread throughout - the hosts truly want to share this experience with others and it shows. Impeccably clean. Every detail (from lavender misted robes and freshly ground coffee to walking sticks and local guides) signaled the specialness of this place and its owners. I’ve stayed all over the world in Air Bnb homes and this has been my #1 experience, by far. Can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you Steve and Jenny.

This 90 year old cabin in Southcentral Utah has been fully refurbished and is fully furnished ready for a one night stay or for a month. Great area for hiking, fishing, boating, hunting, scenic views or just relaxing. Relax in a quiet and secure valley
The.cabin feels like it is in the middle of a forest and is so quiet and serene. Yet, we are close to a grocery store and gas stations.
It is quiet and restful area where people are friendly. ..the yard has sprinkler irrigation and keeps the area clean and cool. The mountains surround the town providing majestic scenic views.
  • Charming, snuggly cabin with comfortable beds, wonderful fluffy bedding, and a full kitchen. Centrally located for Fish Lake, Capital Reef, Boulder Mountain, and other outdoor fun. Monte was very communicative before our stay and even left us some chocolates and homemade banana bread.

    Audrey2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is cosy without feeling cramped. Both beds were incredibly comfortable - far more comfortable than our own. It was so fun to stay in a place with such history but all modern amenities also! Monte was super thoughtful. Before we arrived, she set up a crib for our baby and provided games for our toddler. Which we appreciated so much when the snow kept us indoors. Monte also told us all about the cabin, the town and the area so we knew exactly what to expect and what to pack. She left local maps with notes that were super helpful. This was the perfect way to see Capitol Reef. We felt right at home. Monte is the perfect host and the area is absolutely beautiful!

    Lindsay2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • If you want a place to stay that is comfortably rustic, this is a good choice. Monte is kind and thoughtful, the air was clean and clear—yes, there still is such a place—and the small friendly town of Loa is surrounded by mountains and FISH.

    Bob2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location; quiet, near grocery store, gas station, parks. Monte is a thoughtful and helpful host.

  • This is a wonderful little cabin, extremely quiet and homely. Lots of loving touches and great kitchen supplies. Monte’s homemade banana bread was delicious. Monte gave great local advice and was extremely welcoming. For us this was a great location to explore Capitol Reef and somewhere to escape the crowds after a busy day in the park. We would definitely stay there again.

The Doll House Ranch was built in the 1980's by a local cowboy named A.C. Ekker. His dream sprang to life as a team blew holes into the cliff-side and began to build his dream home nuzzled inside. He installed a large corral for roping, riding, and training horses. This Santa Fe/Southwestern style home is located on a sprawling beautiful landscape just outside of Hanksville.
The Doll House Ranch has a unique history. Recently remodeled, this beautiful home offers plenty of space for family reunions, hunting base camp, Utah adventure base camp, scout groups, youth groups, and much much more. With rich history and plenty of stories about the surrounding area, this home is perfect for your next excursion, vacation, or event. In addition to the ample amount of space for your group, you can also pitch tents or bring travel trailers/motor homes. The home has a spacious, fully equipped kitchen.
The home is located on a remote section of land outside of Hanksville; it is surrounded by beautiful landscapes and plenty to enjoy. Inside Hanksville, you can find several delicious restaurants to eat at. Stan's Burger Shak, Blondie's, and Duke's Slickrock Grill all boast delicious menus and fantastic customer service. There are several gas stations as well; Stan's Silver Eagle has a large gift shop and plenty to choose from. The Hollow Mountain is a unique station nuzzled inside a mound of earth on the junction of Highway 24 and 95. • We loved this place and the host was very helpful. I don't want to recommend the place because then you might book it for a time that we want to book it again. ;-)

  • The Doll House ranch was such an enjoyable and special place to spend a long weekend! It really is built into the rock, and is one of the more unique Airbnb homes I've had the pleasure of visiting. The home was sparkling clean, nicely furnished, and we'll stocked with necessities and kitchen items. The master suite is particularly lovely! We'd love to come back and visit with a bigger group sometime. The ranch location in Hanksville is an excellent base for exploring all that this area of Utah has to offer.

    Caitlin2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Doll House Ranch was amazing. The house is sparkling clean and a great place for a group to gather while enjoying the area. Jessica is a fantastic host and responded quickly to any questions we had. This is a very unique amazing place and we'll definitely stay again.

    Ken2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The home is a bit dated, but it is being remodeled and is starting to look more up-to-date. It was clean, well-stocked, and very functional. I loved the master suite. Comfortable bed, plenty of room, double shower, and a big tub against a natural rock wall. Very cool! There were enough beds to sleep 8 guests comfortably, plus three large sofas. The coolest feature about this house is how it is literally built into the side of a rock mountain. In the master bedroom, the red rock of the mountain forms part of one wall. The wall next to the jacuzzi tub, is a natural rock wall also. Two of the walls and the ceiling in the family room are formed by the rock from the inside of the mountain where the home is built. It's such an interesting feature that it's worth staying for this aspect; to be in a home that is so completely integrated into its natural surroundings. There is a gas grill and a fire pit. Jessica is a great host, was excellent to work with, accommodating and brought a few things to us Saturday evening after the grocery store had closed. The home is easily accessible, but is about three miles outside of town in a remote location. If you like the remoteness and solitude, you will enjoy this home. You literally don't hear another sound. Hanksville is small, without a lot of services, but there is a grocery store and a couple good restaurants, Duke's and Stan's. We came here because the scenery and hiking is just as good as it is in the National Parks, with only a fraction of the traffic. There are beautiful slot canyons, and amazing places to hike here without all the people. If you like a quiet place to visit and hike, and even a quieter place to stay, this is a great place. I can't wait to come back.

    Carrie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cool place built into the mountainside! Plenary of room to spread out, large kitchen, amazing Mountain View’s right out the kitchen sink window, very quiet. Also be sure to check out Stan’s burger shack in town, it’s a must!

    John2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • This house is in such a great location for outdoor adventuring! We loved hiking around Goblin Valley and driving through Capitol Reef. We spent Thanksgiving in the house, and had a great time with our group. Some of the sleeping accommodations are definitely more comfortable than others (the downstairs bedroom is well-designed and huge), but others from our group slept on the pull-out couches. Power went out at one point, and we had to reach out to the hosts. There were also a couple small things left to be desired in the house -- a sponge/dish scrubber in the kitchen, shampoo/conditioner in the bathrooms, and some candles for possible future power outages. The fire pit is a definite plus!

    Larissa2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • This ranch house is partially embedded in the cliffs! It's renovated and super cool.

    John2019-11-03T00:00:00Z

  • Wow! What a wonderful home to share! Incredibly beautiful and comfortable. Was a breath of fresh air on our trip. Very accommodating hosts. Loved even moment in your beautiful home!!

  • We made a mistake in booking date and didn't realize until after the date. But Sara was kind enough to refund so we could book again on the right date.

  • We had no idea what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised with a really cute home. Furnishings were so stylish and comfortable. We had all the possible things we needed and more with high quality soaps, etc. The whole place was spotless and temp control was easy and spot on. Place was easy to find and has plenty of off street parking. Small warning, when you go off season like we did, hard to find food, grocery or restaurant. There is nowhere to eat in Teasdale, but in season, not too far in Torrey. Host was very quick to respond and great to work with. We recommend staying here for sure, great space.

We live on a farm with fields surrounding us. We have a farm house appeal and are secluded even from our small town. We are off the beaten path on a dirt lane. The view of the stars from our trampoline at night can't be beat. Our day view is just as amazing with fields, wildlife, and surrounding mountains. We have been rated 5 stars on the first room we opened. Check our rating out under Loa's Farm Get Away.
  • Fantastic space. Very clean and very friendly. Everything you need is covered and the location is excellent. Great for kids 2 and up

    Anthony2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a nice, cozy place to stay at a bargain price. The owners were very nice and quick to respond when we needed them. There is a decent grocery store in town just a few minutes away to pick up items to cook. We didn't think we'd use the washer and dryer, but then we needed to. Everything you might need is there. It feels very spacious actually given that it's got all these amenities. My daughter loved, loved all the animals, and I think they liked her back. And both kids enjoyed the trampoline tremendously.

    Beth2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A group of twenty-somethings enjoyed a wonderful one night stay at Jim and Toni’s! Jim was working in the yard when we arrived and provided a warm welcome. We were able to watch 500 geese land in the field at sunset, lay on the trampoline to watch shooting stars, and cook steaks on their grill. Would recommend this place for an authentic Loa experience!

    Taylor2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, they are really friendly, and kind. Would stay here again in the future.

    Edwin2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Loa's Farm was the perfect cozy place to come home to after days out hiking in Capitol Reef. The place was spotless, and the cast iron pans were seasoned perfectly! Jim and Toni we're great hosts, and a lot of fun to talk to. The place is close to a gas station and grocery store, making it very convenient to get ready for the day. We would definitely recommend this as a home base for exploring the beautiful area.

    Giacomo2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Friendly animals. Cute room big enough for small family. Very quick on the responses.

    Carrie2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place to stay! I stayed here on a visit to Capitol Reef national park. Jim and Toni’s place was a breeze to get to and they provided clear directions. Toni was able to meet us there to show us around. It was great to visit with her. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook dinner. We loved seeing the goats in the morning! Overall it was a very comfortable stay.

    Indigo2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • A group of 4 of us stayed here while visiting Capitol Reef National Park. We arrived very late into the night but the check in instructions were very clear, and the host was quick to respond if we were to have any questions. It is very warm and cozy for cold Utah nights and a short drive away to food places in neighboring towns. The trampoline outside was a fun addition to try out before we left (but jump at your own risk!). Would definitely stay again if visiting the area again :)

This is the bottom floor of a 2 story house in the sleepy town of Teasdale, UT. It is 15 minutes from Capital Reef National Park along the Grand Circle. It is newly remodeled with brand new furnishings. We have a property manager close by to help with any needs you may have.
Bottom floor of large 2 story house. The space consists of a 2 bedrooms, a gathering area and kitchenette. Newly remodeled.
The house is across from the post office and very easy to find. Parking in off street and free. Enjoy the quiet life in this very small town that is a hidden treasure with beautiful views of the red rocks.
  • Beds and furniture are super comfortable. Everything super clean. Great location like a 20 minute drive from popular hikes in Capitol Reef. Also drive a little down the road and there are some dirt roads to drive off on and find a good place to look at the stars in the dark. Great view. There could be guests upstairs so be aware the walls aren't super thick (I sleep with headphones so I wasn't bothered at night, but when people were playing upstairs we could hear it).

    Peter2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place has great access to Capitol Reef National Park and nearby restaurants. Very clean with plenty of helpful amenities that made the stay smooth and comfortable. The beds are firm which is fine if you like that/don't mind. The host was excellent to work with. She responded very quickly to questions and all information was easily obtained. I definitely would recommend this place!

    Sarah2020-03-15T00:00:00Z

  • AMAZING

    Paul2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this little basement apartment. While you can’t control the temperature from the area, Allyson was responsive and set the temperature to our liking and provided space heaters that worked too well. ;) We brought our chihuahuas and appreciated the fenced in area and that they were allowed to stay with us. Everything was clean and comfortable. Shower was hot.

    Shelli2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED Allyson’s place! We decided last minute to stay somewhere that was dog friendly and hers was one of the few in the area. We actually ended up staying in the upper unit, but from the pictures, they are equally well fitted up. First of all, it was 20 degrees with howling wind when we got there, but it was lovely and warm inside! The place was sparkling clean, and very well designed. Lovely, comfortable furniture, and a large tv with all the streaming apps we could want. The kitchen was extremely well stocked! We were able to make a simple dinner and breakfast for ourselves, but we could have made a gourmet meal for 12—every utensil, pan, basic ingredients for cooking and baking (again, I’m describing the upstairs unit kitchen contents) was easy to find! The beds were brand new and very comfortable. I usually have trouble sleeping away from home, but not here! Toiletries, first aid, flashlight. Everything was there. It was a great rental—one of the best we’ve stayed in. Highly recommend this host and this house! We’ll be back!! Thank you!

  • Linda & Martin's place was lovely! We had a great time and felt so welcomed and at home. Linda greeted us upon arrival and showed us around the place and let us know some local tips. We loved waking up in the morning to the gorgeous views, and the house had all the amenities we could have needed -especially during our winter trip. There wasn't much open in terms of grocery stores and restaurants, but the house was fully stocked with spices, some food, and beverages. We took advantage of their waffle iron in the morning for this kids, and they set up a dog bowl with treats for our dog. It was so comfortable and a truly lovely stay - would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

We loving refer to our Economy cabins as "Tuff Shed" cabins.
  • Check in process was super easy-- the host even turned the heat on for me so it would be warm when I arrived! They gave very easy directions to follow and I did not have any problems. Super close to Capitol Reef NP! Sheets, blankets, towels all ready and clean on the bed when I got there which was lovely. Torrey is a cute little town without much in it but this place was super close to the Chuck Wagon General Store which has pretty much anything you'd need. There's also a food truck with great burgers that parks outside the general store from 5-8pm most nights! Highly recommend!

This is an entire home. Our cabin home has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It has over 2300 sq ft of living space. The cabin home is centrally located within Utah's Capitol Reef Country. It is a great base location for exploring, while still having access to modern services. The cabin home is located between Fish Lake and Capitol Reef, within a 25 minute drive to either location.
This is a great place to stay on your vacation. The cabin looks small on the outside, but has plenty of space on the inside. It has a beautifully remodeled custom kitchen. The ceilings are high with open wood beams and wood paneling. There are wood fireplaces on both levels. It has a large fenced in yard and outdoor fire pit, large trees for shade, and fruit trees (apricot, pear, plum, apple) in the yard. It is also located next to the main road, which allows you to get to where your going quicker.
Lyman is a small town. It is a great place to relax and escape. You will have to travel to the surrounding communities to find restaurants and other services. Lyman has a public park and church. At the park you will find basketball courts, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, baseball field, child playground, and large open grass lawn for what ever else you want to do. Some local restaurants I would recommend is the Bahinda's Pizza Palace (curry brick oven pizza and other curry items) in Bicknell, awesome!! . The Sunglow in Bicknell is also another great place; it is a family style restaurant with specialty pies, such as pickle, pinto, lemon custard, oatmeal, and other favorites. Torrey is a great place with numerous restaurants, evening programs, book stores, gift shops, art studios, farmers market, bar, and outdoor gear rental.
  • We loved the house . It was clean and had lots of room. The snack was yummy and Erins mom is a sweetheart. We will be back 💕

  • Our family absolutely loved our stay at this home. It was VERY clean and well decorated. Upon walking in, we saw a hand written note welcoming us as well as some homemade treats. We cooked most of our meals in the cabin and the kitchen is the most equipped I've ever seen, just like being at home. They even had a child sip cup we used! There is a lot of space and play area in the basement. Plenty of bedspace for everyone! We plan to return again, thank you!

  • Calm and quiet place. Has a home feel about it. Erin is quick to respond and a great host. This home is close to fish lake and capital reef. We enjoyed the new things that Erin has done since our last stay (dart board, air hockey, new couches, baby gate at steps, etc.). Thanks for another great trip!

  • The host is hospitable! Due to close of the Capital Reef NP, we arrived early. It was cold and snowy, so we called to see whether we can check in earlier. The lady agreed and said she would come to visit us! She cane with her son and grandkids to send us homemade delicious food and a warm greeting card! She shared the recipe of the traditional food with us. It is so delicious that we love it instantly! We enjoyed the wooden house. The view of each window is breathtaking! Our kids rate this place as the best of our 10-day Utah trip that they wrote sincere feedback before we left. Thanks for making us feel like home!

  • If you want to experience the charm that embodies the small town of Lyman and the surrounding towns of Wayne County, this is the home you should stay in! You’ll feel like your staying in a family cabin that you grew up visiting as a child. The decor is both updated and vintage. The vibe of this home is charming and comfortable. There were 12 of us here for a weekend, all but one over the age of 10, and it never felt crowded. We would definitely stay here again!
