Large house on the outskirts of Stevenage, backing on to ancient woodland. Modern en-suite double room with separate room for guests available for tea, coffee and continental breakfast, including a fridge and microwave. An additional single bedroom with separate bathroom may also be available. 20 minutes by train to London, 40 minutes to Cambridge with regular nearby bus service to the station. Close to Lister Hospital. Street parking is available and within walking distance to local shops.
We are a happy and sociable household and pleased to offer help or advice if needed. The house is occupied for most of the time by the hosts and guests are welcome to use the well maintained garden.

    I have a new build two bedroom flat in Stevenage, five minutes walk from the train station. There is parking available around the building and for longer stays I can arrange for your own designated parking space. I'm happy to share all amenities and want my guests to feel at home. The room is a single which I set up for when my Mum visits. There is plenty of storage with five empty drawers and I have set up a TV in the room if you would prefer to chill out on your own.

    The property is located on a quiet street, perfect for guests on a trip away needing rest and relaxation. Possible to accommodate more than two guest(s) as I can provide an air bed in the living room just for sleeping (Please request ahead). The flat has excellent noise reduction qualities, perfect for working at home or having a relaxing moment with music. Guests will have access to their own bathroom and bedroom with door lock for privacy.   • Perfect for my one night stay en route to a job. Richie was a quiet and considerate host and gave me the privacy I wanted. The bed is comfortable and the room spacious. The bathroom is also spacious and clean and Richie provides some toiletries which is a nice touch - although for once I had everything I needed. Thankfully Richie checked the room as soon as I left and found one of my wireless earbuds which he brought out to the car - leading me to realise I had left both behind and a search revealed one hiding under the bookcase. I was very grateful, as I do have an unfortunate tendency to leave at least one item behind when I stay somewhere - which is often. I would stay at Richie's place again if needed.

    The property enjoys a pleasant location set back from the High Street in the heart of the sought-after village of Henlow on the borders of Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, 6.7 miles from Hitchin, just 6.3 miles from Letchworth Garden City, and 13 miles from Bedford.   • I stayed at this place several times and absolutely loved it! This family of four - Denise, Richard, dog Arlo and cat Artemis - is so welcoming and made me feel like at home. They were very accommodating and understanding when I had to check in late due to finish late. The room and the house is so cosy, this is the place you would want to come back to.     The apartment is a contemporary open plan designed by the interior company ChalkNoir, newly renovated with a mezzanine floor and exposed beams. There are 3 large roof lights on the mezzanine floor so you can watch the stars from the bed. it feels like sleeping in a tree house.
    Lars’s home is located in Buntingford / Hertfordshire, England, United Kingdom. My contemporary loft is the perfect country retreat from the Capital, being as little as an hour’s drive and even less by the fast intercity trains from King’s Cross to Stevenage, 12 miles away. The village of Braughing is walking distance, less than a mile away, where there are a pub and lovely access to the Hertfordshire bridleway. The nearby village of Watton-at-Stone (8 miles) has a gem of a country coaching inn, The Bull, which dates back to the 15th century and serves a delicious mix of gastro British classics and tapas-style deli dishes. Also 1,3 miles away, Pearce’s Farm Shop sells a tantalizing array of goodies including locally sourced meats and fresh fish delivered daily, fruit and veg, pies and pastries, cheeses, chutneys and deli delectables. There’s also an excellent cafe as well as PYO strawberries and raspberries when they’re in season. The historic market town of Hertford is 10 minutes drive (7-8 miles), with all the shops, amenities, pubs and restaurants families could need, Buntingford has a Sainsbury's and a coop for the things you need. The beautiful university city of Cambridge is 30 minutes drive, with its ornate colleges and chapels, excellent museums and galleries, punts gliding down the river, a historic marketplace and quaint passageways crammed with interesting shops, cafes and bistros. Such lovely countryside, so close to the Capital, means there are numerous fabulous country estates to visit, with magnificently landscaped gardens and period interiors. Audley End is especially recommended for families with horses to meet in the Victorian stable yard and a play area that has springy wooden horses, a ‘play-mansion’ and adjacent cafe, plus a miniature railway around the grounds. Knebworth House is also great for kids thanks to a fab Dino Trail, with 70 life-sized dinosaurs to see as well as an adventure playground with a bouncy castle, giant slide and splash water features. Hatfield House also has a play area and a Farm Park where children can feed the animals, play in sand pits and bounce around on tractor tyres. When the weather isn’t great, other options could be Hollywood Bowl and Cineworld in Stevenage.

Ideal for one person or a couple.
    Bed = 140cm x 190cm. Ideal for work meetings in Stevenage area, or for an occasion (wedding, family gatherings...). Also, easy access to London (frequent trains + bus) for tourists: you will save on the hotel price there. The stairs from the corridor to the bedroom are now repaired, there is no noise anymore walking up the stairs !

  • Very clean self contained unit. I had everything I needed. Welcomed Extras such as extra Towels, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, all complimentary plus biscuits, crisps n grapes. In unit hair dryer, fan, clothes washer/dryer combo supplied with detergent. Iron ironing board, umbrella. Utensils for 4 dishes etc. Older property and windows some I couldn’t open. No alarm needed 😂 birds tapping on window woke me up most mornings. Request to owner to move and lower the lock box for safety reasons . Mattress a bit firm for me but many like a firm mattress so not a complaint at all. Lovely strong shower spray . I’m 5ft n 150 pound so much bigger person may find it more confining but was perfect for me . So convenient and plenty of eating places in the old town easy walking distance. Would definitely stay again. Great value .

    We are in the small village of Weston a parish in the North of Hertfordshire, England. Weston is located 4 miles north of the town of Stevenage, 2.5 miles south of Baldock. The A1 passes 2 miles to the west and the A505 to the north, which is a direct route to Cambridge, which is 24 miles (42 Mins) north by road.
    The Weston Hills were made famous by the Robin Hood-style character Jack o'Legs, who was allegedly buried in the church graveyard. The Weston Hills have been designated of outstanding natural beauty and have conservation status.
    The cottage is situated in a pleasant rural location, and the village boasts a green with pond, a small shop selling fresh local produce, including a post office. There are two excellent pubs, The Cricketers and the Red Lion, which both serve excellent food and offer friendly service.

    You will have full use of the whole annexe which is a restful, airy space with a high speed WiFi connected TV and luxurious bed with fresh Egyptian cotton bedlinen and a duck down, hypoallergenic duvet. Our brand new space has all the comforts that you would need with luxury bathroom and space to rest or work quietly.
    We are close to the market town Buntingford, a 10 minute drive from Milling Barn wedding venue. We host many wedding guests attending ceremonies at Alswick Barns and South Farm. Knebworth House and Audley End are approx 40 min drive away. Cambridge is a 40 min drive to the park and ride. Duxford Imperial War Museum is an easy 45 min drive. Royston and Baldock are nearby historical towns with great bars, restaurants and pubs. We are a stones throw down the A10 from Pearce’s Farm shop which serves fabulous food, has an array of delicious deli foods, fresh fruit and veg and sells beautiful gifts. It also serves a magnificent afternoon tea and Sunday roast! We are on the doorstep of the Icknield Way walk and cycling is very popular on our empty and beautiful roads.

The cottage was spotlessly clean with a nice welcome pack of beverage essentials. Verity was on hand to ensure all was okay, and with a washing machine onsite in a utility room it was perfect for my visit. During the visit the wi-fi did go a bit flakey, but as we left a new Wi-fi was being installed- which as this was a work based visit is good to know for when I return.

    Detached annexe with two bedrooms and a self contained kitchen and bathroom. It’s a 40 minute drive to Duxford where you can visit the Imperial War museum and a 50 minute drive to Cambridge. Westmill farm is a 5 minute drive which has a great range of attractions for everyone including a restaurant overlooking the Rib Valley, a nine hole par 3 golf course, 3 fishing lakes, zorb strike and a garden centre.
    Chapmore End itself is a small hamlet set midway between Ware and Hertford and is ideally placed for a wide range of activities to include railway stations in both towns which both go into London. The village consists of a few houses, a duck pond, tea rooms and a friendly pub that does great food.

    Large house on the outskirts of Stevenage, backing on to ancient woodland. Modern single room with private bathroom, not shared. Separate room for guests available for tea, coffee and continental breakfast, with fridge and microwave. An additional en-suite double may also be available. 20 minutes by train to London, 40 minutes to Cambridge with regular nearby bus service to the station/town centre. Close to Lister Hospital. Street parking is available and within walking distance to local shops.
    We are a happy and sociable household and pleased to offer help or advice on local facilities and attractions if needed. The house is occupied for most of the time by the hosts and guests are welcome to use the well maintained garden. For distant travellers, Chinese is spoken here.

    A charming mill cottage in the woods by the river Mimram, with exclusive garden and log burning hot tub under the trees and many footpath walks to traditional gastro pubs. This hidden gem is less than an hour from London and a short walk to the local Ayot villages. The kitchen is stocked with cooking and breakfast and more. A large variety of hot drinks and juice also provided. Trained cat friendly dogs welcome with details provided. Also listed with 2 bedrooms at a different price with Airbnb.
    This riverside property is a detached single storey cottage with its own private entrance and exclusive back garden. There are two reception rooms and it includes a large kitchen that leads into a conservatory dining area opening onto an evening lit patio and garden with exclusive use log burning hot tub deck. There is also a sun deck towards the end of the garden for outdoor summer dining and sitting. The lounge has an open fireplace for winter evenings with a single sofa bed. The kitchen is stocked with cooking and breakfast staples and more. A large variety of hot drinks and juices also provided. Smoking is only allowed in the garden and patio areas not in the cottage itself. Extreme log consumption may be charged extra.

  • Susan is a great host. She was very responsive to messages and came out to greet us on arrival. The cottage is very cosy. It has everything you need to relax and have a home away from home. It is in a great location in Herts with lots of county walks and places to visit nearby. Codicote village center is just up the road and there are small supermarkets there as well as places to get take out and nearby Welwyn has some great Italian restaurants and gastro pubs. We visited in winter when it was rainy, so didn't get to make use of the hot tub or wonderful garden. Would love to do so on a future visit.

  • Right from the beginning Susan has been a great host. Her messages and Instructions of how to get in etc were so clear and helpful! On arrival the heating was on and it was so cosy.The cottage is beautiful. Well maintained, clean and so homely. The added touches were amazing - Susan helped us with the hot tub, there was towels and robes,there was lots of condiments and breakfast bits in the fridge and even different teas and coffees! The cottage is surrounded by lovely walks and countryside with lovely local pubs nearby. We will definitely be back in the future.

Louisa’s communication was fantastic, she even helped to accommodate me at very last minute. The flat was perfect and had everything you need to hand.     The Vineyard is one of three cottages at Lordship's Barns, located in 600 acres of unspoilt rolling Hertfordshire countryside. A tranquil bolthole just an hour away from London, near the town of Ware. The barns were recently renovated and boast hand-crafted kitchens with German appliances; Nespresso machines; underfloor heating; and wood burning stoves. Explore the countryside, including ponds, woods and a vineyard. Or travel further afield to Cambridge or into London in under an hour.
    Few would ever believe that London could be less than an hour away from The Vineyard, surrounded by rolling Hertfordshire countryside. One of three barn conversions, we are set in 600 acres of countryside, with cows grazing in green pastures, swathes of vivid yellow rapeseed, fields of swaying crops and even a working English vineyard.
    Lordship’s Barns are the perfect country retreat from the Capital, being as little as an hour’s drive and even less by the fast intercity trains from King’s Cross to Stevenage, 9 miles away. The village of Dane End is walking distance, less than a mile away, where there is a village shop and children’s playground. The nearby village of Watton-at-Stone (5 miles) has a gem of a country coaching inn, The Bull, which dates back to the 15th century and serves a delicious mix of gastro British classics and tapas-style deli dishes. Also 5 miles away, Pearce’s Farm Shop sells a tantalizing array of goodies including locally sourced meats and fresh fish delivered daily, fruit and veg, pies and pastries, cheeses, chutneys and deli delectables. There’s also an excellent cafe as well as PYO strawberries and raspberries when they’re in season. The historic market town of Hertford is 10 minutes drive (7-8 miles), with all the shops, amenities, pubs and restaurants families could need, including a TESCO, Sainsburys and Ocado that will deliver to Lordship Barn. The beautiful university city of Cambridge is 30 minutes drive, with its ornate colleges and chapels, excellent museums and galleries, punts gliding down the river, a historic market place and quaint passageways crammed with interesting shops, cafes and bistros. Such lovely countryside, so close to the Capital, means there are numerous fabulous country estates to visit, with magnificently landscaped gardens and period interiors. Audley End is especially recommended for families with horses to meet in the Victorian stable yard and a play area that has springy wooden horses, a ‘play-mansion’ and adjacent cafe, plus a miniature railway around the grounds. Knebworth House is also great for kids thanks to a fab Dino Trail, with 70 life sized dinosaurs to see as well as an adventure playground with a bouncy castle, giant slide and splash water features. Hatfield House also a play area and Farm Park where children can feed the animals, play in sand pits and bounce around on tractor tyres. When the weather isn’t great, other options to keep children entertained include Woody’s Play Barn in Ware and a Hollywood Bowl and Cineworld in Stevenage.

The barn conversion has been very well done, retaining lots of charm and character. The surrounding gardens are so pretty, with lots of lavender growing. Best of all, it is blissfully quiet !

    A beautiful self-contained cottage in the picturesque village of Weston. The cottage is very bright, spacious and is surrounded by many public footpaths. The village has a shop, two pubs, a church and is located close to the market town of Hitchin. I own the local hair & beauty salon in Weston located 2 min. from the house. All our products are vegan and we offer Lanza colour shampoo & conditioner, Decleor facials & skincare, Jessica nails manicure & pedicures as well as massages.
    The cottage has wooden flooring throughout, gas central heating, combi-boilers (hot water at all times!). The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and the cottage has a cosy feel about it. We also have a private garden and on road parking.
    We are a friendly village and there are many beautiful footpaths around for walking in the countryside. There are many other picturesque villages around as well which are worthwhile visiting and I will be happy to point you towards the best pubs.
