Wakefield is a vibrant village on the shores of the Gatineau River with an active art and music scene. It is home to the Blacksheep Inn, Canada's famous music venue. Wilderness is on the doorstep with trails leading into Gatineau Park. It is possible to walk to the local grocery store, Wakefield General Store, a 10 minute walk. There is a small convenience store 3 doors away. The local bus stops at the Centre Wakefield La Pêche, around the corner.

A Room with a View

Wakefield waterfront on the Gatineau river. Great views of and only a few steps from the iconic covered bridge and a short walk to restaurants, pubs and cafes. Two fireplaces, two decks, and plenty of parking. This is a brand new home that we are sure you will enjoy. Respectful, courteous guests only. The magnificent views from the home and the two large decks come with some effort and this vacation paradise is not recommended for those with mobility issues.
