This oversized one bedroom loft apartment is bursting with period detail and features a certain warehouse cool that simply can’t be created. It is brilliantly located on quiet Park Street, right in the cafe culture and lifestyle synonymous with St Kilda. The loft has direct access to the Catani gardens and St Kilda foreshore as your playground and is only 100m from famous Fitzroy Street. The CBD is a short 12 minute tram ride away, with a stop on your doorstep. If you are looking for something really special, I’d say you’ll find it here. The apartment is 50sqm with a fantastic loft bedroom and premium queen sized bed, and a luxurious leather queen sized sofa bed in the lounge offering great accommodation for 4 guests. Park Street is a beautiful leafy road in the shade of ancient English elm trees. Although 100 meters from thriving Fitzroy Street, Park Street is remarkably quiet and the atmosphere is very residential. Supermarket, dry cleaning laundry, 24 hour convenience store, bottle shop all within just a few minutes walk. If you like walking or running, Albert Park is 300 meters away, or you can walk or run along the foreshore to Port Melbourne in one direction, or the St Kilda promenade in the other. If you have kids, the Famous Luna Park is a short stroll, as is Acland Street with it's bustling street life and some of Melbourne's best cafes, restaurants and pastry shops. If you love animals, St Kilda has its own Penguin Colony which appears at dusk each night, alongside the St Kilda Pier.
  • The place was cozy and homey. Perfect position for visiting St Kilda and the rest of Melbourne. The only issue I found was the walls were quite thin, which didn’t bother me at all, but did make me worry for the neighbours! I highly recommend this place.

    Recently renovated stylish studio (one of only three) with spacious sleeping loft , close to Mount Buller, built almost entirely from repurposed building materials. All to yourselves, this quirky rustic studio with its private balcony overlooks the Delatite River with magnificent mountain views and abundant wildlife. The renowned Mill Inn Restaurant is metres from the door.
    The Studio has a spacious loft which is accessed by a timber staircase. Up here is the comfortable queen sized bed with treetop views and a day bed. Downstairs is the living, kitchen and dining areas. There is a large LCD TV with DVD player and a comfortable sofa bed which sleeps two. The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge, electric stove and hotplates as well as a microwave. There is also an electric frypan and ample crockery and cutlery. Tea/coffee/sugar/condiments are provided. During the winter the Studio is toasty warm with plenty of heating options and in summer, the reverse cycle aircon as well as ceiling fans keep you cool. The balcony has views over the Delatite River and to Mount Buller. The ponds at the front of the property are home to many birds and kangaroos. The rustic bathroom contains a shower, toilet and vanity. There is also a hair dryer.
    There is an abundance of things to do in the area. The alpine areas of Mt Buller and Mt Stirling are only a short 20 minute drive away. If you enjoy mountain biking, bushwalking, great wine and food there is plenty for you to enjoy here.

  • Pete's property was comfortable, warm, unique and in such a picturesque location. The cottage had lots of sweet touches. We couldn't ask for more! Being so close to Mt Stirling, Mt Buller was exceptional. Native birds just in front of the patio and deer in the morning. Wilderness all around. What a treat! Pete checked in on us. Comms were excellent. Definitely will be back again to this getaway spot.

  • Ainsley’s place is cosy, clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. At the nearby Golf Course you can go and see the kangaroos feeding at dusk and there are a number lovely walks in and around the springs. The indoor wood-fire and complimentary bottle of wine made for a very warm welcome. There are all the utensils, crockery and cookware in the kitchen that you need to cook and serve a substantial meal. They provided eggs, butter, yoghurt, coffee, tea and many other pantry staples and there’s plenty of room in the fridge and freezer. For dinner one night we ordered delivery from The Farmers Arms Hotel in Daylesford and it was excellent! Great value for money and delivered precisely when we asked. We would definitely recommend Ainsley’s place.

    Our cool, very spacious open plan warehouse apartment has a true city feeling! This is a fantastic space and location for discovering everything Melbourne has to offer! Hydroponic heating system in the floor and wall heaters keeps the apartment warm and cosy! You will be on the ground floor of a 3 storey warehouse with separate entrance in an awesome location. Free large undercover garage included, height allowance 234 cms / 7'8". Free unlimited WiFi available. The open plan apartment is very spacious and is self contained with a very comfortable queen size bed (with electric blanket) and a large sofa lounge which can be converted to a very comfortable double bed. There are two degrees of block-out blinds on the window so you can sleep-in to your heart's content. Hydroponic under floor heating and mounted wall heaters will keep you warm and comfortable in the cooler months. There is a Split System Air Conditioner/Heater and an oscillating fan. The flat is in a fantastic position - close to cafes, bars, restaurants, markets, shopping etc and she has kitted it out with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bed, linen and towels lovely quality and touches like bowl of fresh apples and milk in fridge much appreciated. Our 2 year old loved the toys and books provided, and lots of space for him to potter about. Having a private car space was fantastic. Thanks Terry for a great stay!

Perfect location to stay for Travellers & there are also facilities for Board meetings & Presentations.
    We live in a spacious and light-filled warehouse, furnished with French provincial furniture and Contemporary Art. The building was a Fashion House, converted to Apartments in the '90s; it has very high ceilings with Architectural details defining the space, the bathrooms have an industrial edge with stainless steel fit out. We have comfy sofas for when you need to relax with a coffee or a glass of wine after a busy day of work or sightseeing.

  • I wrote an extensive review about my last stay here back in May 2019 so feel free to check that out. This time around I stayed from 5th to 9th February 2020. As with my last visit, it’s a wonderful experience staying with Bronwyn, Michael and their furry child Chai. So great to meet Michael in person this time too! Their super spacious warehouse apartment has everything you could ask for, plus the very central location in the city makes getting to the major local sights and CBD shopping / eating districts a breeze. I also really appreciated the complimentary continental breakfast that was so thoughtfully laid out the night before. This gave me a good energy boost at the start of the day as this time I ventured a bit further out and caught more trams - note that Melbourne is quite flat and very easy to get around on foot, which I mostly did during my last visit. Thank you for your warm and gracious hospitality as always.

  • I spent five wonderful days here. The location of the apartment is really amazing, in the heart of the city center. From here, it is very convenient to go anywhere. The house is the same as the pictures look like an art gallery, full of art atmosphere. Living here, has the private room and the bathroom, also can use Brown's kitchen, open kitchen, the tableware is very complete. Brown & Michael, They are very enthusiastic and made me feel very warm. They also gave me some very convenient and useful tour advice. There are extra services, a hearty breakfast, a bottle of wine, a transit card, washer, and dryer, and can store luggage for a while. They are really considerate for the guests. If you want a deep experience of Melbourne's life, come here ! Brown loves food,if she has time, you can cook with her. I'll come again next time. Easy walking distance to all points in the city as well as Southbank, Docklands, Carlton and Fitzroy. One of a kind laneway experience and Rankins Lane is one of the most interesting laneways with pop-ups and hidden businesses in the upper levels. Parties, events and gatherings of any kind are not permitted.
    One-of-a-kind warehouse conversion in an unbeatable city location for shoppers, foodies and culture lovers. CAR PARKING - This is the centre of the city so only short term metered street parking or commercial car parks are available within the block from Bourke Square Parking and The Strand Car Park. However, I have a private car park on Elizabeth Street three blocks away that I can make available for rent if required for stays of longer than two nights. This needs to be pre-arranged and suits those driving to the city but not wanting to drive every day during their stay. And it's only $30 per night. See a video of this apartment on the Sydney Weekender website when it was featured by AirBnB. Search for AirBnB and Melbourne and it should come up. My apartment is located seconds from the official centre of Melbourne, yet it's in a quiet lane with excellent natural light. It's big, over 100sqm of space. The centre of Melbourne is known for its many laneways which are full of smart bars, cool cafes, art galleries and some world-class graffiti art. One of the nations' premier coffee houses, Brother Baba Budan (aka the cafe with the chairs hanging from the ceiling) is located on the corner of the laneway. Gourmet Travellers pick for the nations' best new restaurant is Tipo 00 on the other corner. The apartment is the top level which is level 2 (Ground, 1 then 2) and is the only residential floor int this building dating back to 1887. It's an open-plan set-up with a spacious mezzanine bedroom, separate toilet and somewhat over the top bathroom with a large sunken bath. There's no lift and quite a few stairs so it isn't suitable for anyone with compromised mobility. The apartment has a King size bed, TV, DVD, wi-fi, hairdryer, hair straightener, full laundry facilities and a swing in the middle of the living space. Access is by stairs only. No parking included but plenty of car parks nearby. If 'no parking' is a deal-breaker then let me know as I might have a solution. Melbourne's public transport system operates as a hub with all trains and trams radiating from the centre so getting around is easy. The bees don't come in or near the apartment however, Matt and Vanessa, the beekeepers may need occasional access to tend to the hive. Mieke and Barry are fantastic hosts and like everyone before us, we cannot praise this stay enough. It is so cosy feeling because of it's quirky design but spacious for two for several days or more. Lovely ultra clean modern shower room too. As Caddy's cabin was not occupied at the time of our stay they allowed us to take a look inside. It is so much nicer than the photos project, and for a week away in a secluded spot it would be fantastic.

  • We had an amazing time at Jodie’s place. It is just a short walk to the beach and is close to the town centre. Her place is beautifully presented and is very clean. It is much more spacious than we expected. We travelled with two kids and were presently surprised by how child friendly it was. Jodie provided us with a travel cot on request and there was a high chair which really helped. There was a small corner of toys for them to explore too. We would definitely visit again in the future!

  • I actually want to say this place is terrible only because my honest review will see this place grow even more in popularity and possibly become too booked out for me to be able to return to easily in the near future. But to pay Luke, the owner, the respect he deserves for decking out and making available such a magnificent little gem I have to be honest and say just how truly SPECTACULAR this place is. It is my first stay in Melbourne but my hubby has been many times and I was so delighted in the location of this place being so central to everything and having so many shops of different types available so close most hours. The easy access to Flinders station, Crown, Victoria Market, CBD, and so much more was amazing. We rarely needed transport, could easily walk everywhere. The street itself is a wonderful little buzzing cafe strip with a vast assortment of foods, drinks, and lovely treats like donuts, gelato, and cupcakes. There was also some unique little stores to gander through. The room is more than perfect, it actually couldn't be better. My hubby and I both suffer sore backs and a bad bed can ruin our holiday. Both of us slept perfectly in this place, bed is so comfy, and the blockout curtains and solid walls added to the quality of sleep here which is second to none - so dark and quiet. There is everything you need in the room, Luke has not missed a thing, and the decor is modern, funky, and really welcoming - we felt instantly at home. A couple of items need a revamp but this is nothing to do with cleanliness or sanitation, the place is definitely very clean. Luke is a wonderful man and was also very patient with us as we had to sort out suitcase breaking as we were packing to leave which had us quite delayed to exit the premises. He could have easily kicked us out or charged us more but he kindly allowed us some time to sort out a new case and get organised before we left. I appreciate his decency and for this reason I do hope this venture proves lucrative for him and that he achieves all goals he has set out in doing this. I seriously can't rate this place highly enough and would recommend it to anyone without hesitation. Keep up the great work Luke, and thank you for allowing us to book your beautiful apartment.

Took advantage of the parking too which was extremely convenient. Apartment was very clean and had all the amenities needed. The only thing that was out of Luke's hands is that I struggled to get phone service within the building being with Telstra. Apart from that, everything was perfect. Thanks again Luke! Ok super convenient public transport. Firstly the airport trip is around 25 minutes in a cab which until Melbourne airport link arrives is the best transport option for a group. Secondly there is a tram stop outside the front door for the number 1 tram - takes around 6 minutes into Federation square. A few hundred meters walk you will be able to pick up the 112 which takes you to the Casino and Convetion centre (5 minutes) and then up Collins St. There is one parking spot in the drive directly in front of the Loft - free parking worth its weight in gold in inner city Melbourne these days Everything and anything you would ever need to shop, eat and drink is in walking distance Highlights are: o South Melbourne Market (open all weekend) corner of Cecil and Coventry St (basically turn right out the door, walk to the lights (clarendon st), turn right, walk 3 blocks to Coventry and turn left (its at the end) o Coventry St itself is filled with awesome shops and even better cafes (take your pick they are all superb o Pubs (plenty of good ones including the water rat over the road, honey bar up on the clarendon st corner, golden gate and the George on Coventry st) o Resto’s o Excellent Greek at spitiko on Park st (just cross over clarendon and keep walking - if you hit cecil st you have gone to far) o Excellent small plate style food on clarendon half way along to Coventry st at Hercules Morse o Excellent pub dining at Lamaro’s on cecil (bit more upmarket) o Great seafood at the south Melbourne market Claypots on the corner of cecil and York – very atmospheric o Really good cheap Vietnamese at Wat da Pho (on Clarendon just over Coventry) – on the left side of the road if you are walking into the city o Also a short tram or tax ride away is the Albert Park Hotel (where the cool kids hang out) Guests have the entire Loft to themselves. Between the city, the beach, Albert Park Lake, the Botanical Gardens and of course with the heart of the suburb the wonderful South Melbourne market. For the little one's there are parks galore, swans to feed and trams to ride. I discovered South Melbourne ten years ago - and i am still discovering "new" charms....all the time. Ok super convenient public transport. Firstly the airport trip is around 25 minutes in a cab which until Melbourne airport link arrives is the best transport option for a group. Secondly there is a tram stop outside the front door for the number 1 tram - takes around 6 minutes into Federation square. A few hundred meters walk you will be able to pick up the 112 which takes you to the Casino and Convetion centre (5 minutes) and then up Collins St. There is one parking spot in the drive directly in front of the Loft - free parking worth its weight in gold in inner city Melbourne these days Everything and anything you would ever need to shop, eat and drink is in walking distance Highlights are: o South Melbourne Market (open all weekend) corner of Cecil and Coventry St (basically turn right out the door, walk to the lights (clarendon st), turn right, walk 3 blocks to Coventry and turn left (its at the end) o Coventry St itself is filled with awesome shops and even better cafes (take your pick they are all superb o Pubs (plenty of good ones including the water rat over the road, honey bar up on the clarendon st corner, golden gate and the George on Coventry st) o Resto’s o Excellent Greek at spitiko on Park st (just cross over clarendon and keep walking - if you hit cecil st you have gone to far) o Excellent small plate style food on clarendon half way along to Coventry st at Hercules Morse o Excellent pub dining at Lamaro’s on cecil (bit more upmarket) o Great seafood at the south Melbourne market Claypots on the corner of cecil and York – very atmospheric o Really good cheap Vietnamese at Wat da Pho (on Clarendon just over Coventry) – on the left side of the road if you are walking into the city o Also a short tram or tax ride away is the Albert Park Hotel (where the cool kids hang out)

    The self contained room is in a quiet suburban neighborhood within easy walking distance to town, nature reserves and beach. It is intended as a quiet getaway or medium term accommodation for those seeking a temporary base on the Bellarine Peninsula. With the current helath concerns about the Corona Virus Pandemic we are taking extra precautionary helath and safety measures to keep both guests and hosts safe. We are blocking out the studio apartment a day before a booking and a day after the booking to allow time for proper cleaning with disinfecting products. We take time to wipe over all surfaces, paying particular attention to door handles, light switches, remote controls etc. We are now working towards accommodating people who may need to stay in self isolation. We are looking to provide people with this need with a food delivery service to make it possible for them to meet their self isolation needs. Access is via stairs and the room has a small balcony which is not child safe. Our caravan listing is below the studio apartment. We ask all guests to be considerate of others with noise levels.
    The neighborhood is quiet and suburban, only a short walk to local reserves. St Leonards has a small but comprehensive shopping street; with a supermarket, chemist, newsagency, post office, cafes, take away and eat in eateries, a pub, beach, boat ramp, fishing wharf. We hope you get a sense of the wide array of places to visit and things to do on the Bellarine Peninsula by flicking through our photos and descriptions. There is always some adventure to be had and we have hopefully made it easier for guests to find adventure if that is what they are seeking.

If you prefer to head back into Bright for dinner and drinks, the owners of the property are happy to transfer you to and from Bright, subject to their availability.

    Springfield Studio at the stables is set on an Equine Paradise of 13 acres situated within walking distance to Lysterfield Lake Park (1.7 km). The Loft is located above the stables and sleeps up to 5 people. It has a lovely balcony that overlooks the paddocks with horses and the lovely surrounds. It is cute, cosy and warm. The Loft has a couch, TV, fridge, microwave, kettle and split system. If you are wanting more people to stay then look at Springfield Country Retreat to rent main house.
    Springfield Studio at the stables is in a seperate area to the house. There is a seperate roadway that goes to the horse area. The studio is located above the stables that overlooks the horse area. There is a clean portable toilet and hot shower located at the back of the barn. In the loft is a fridge, microwave, kettle and heating. All linen is hotel quality and towels are provided. There is also a barbecue for your use. Please note If you book the loft for 5 people then there is to be no more than 5 people on the property from your booking. There is strictly no parties. On the property surrounding the loft is horses owned by private owners and no one is to enter into the paddocks at any time. Please note that horse owners may come and go and ride but the upstairs loft is your private space. There is no access to the house or the surrounding grounds outside the stables area during your stay. Price is per person.
    Springfield is easy to get to 50 min from Melbourne, located close to the Monash freeway. Lysterfield Lake Park is located a short distance down the road it is a beautiful park to explore. There is swimming and kayaking permitted in the lake. Around the lake are horse riding trails, mountain biking treks and numerous walking track. If you get there early you will see the resident kangaroos. There are picnic and bbqs also located at the lake. South Eastern Equine Hospital is a just a few minutes drive down the road.

    This is a one bedroom apartment that is not in an apartment complex. It is at the rear of a house in a quite cul-de-sac in the heart of Abbotsford. It is fully secure, modern, private with great access to the Yarra River, walking and bike trails, cafes, sporting venues, shopping and art precincts and some of Melbourne's best restaurants.
    This modern, well-appointed and comfortable one bedroom apartment comprises two levels, the first of which includes a generous living area, a modern kitchen (electric stove and oven, dishwasher, large refrigerator/freezer, meals table which seats six people and high chair). The second level comprises one generous sized bedroom furnished with a queen-sized bed and includes a couch that converts into a double-sized bed and a single trundle bed.     The apartment is located about 3 km from Melbourne’s CBD in one of its oldest and most intriguing suburbs. When you stay here it’s like you are on the cusp of two worlds; on the one side you are metres from the Melbourne’s picturesque Yarra River and its tranquil, tree-laden surrounding parklands and bike riding / walking trails. And on the other are bustling character-laden streets filled with charming cottages and intriguing alleyways, cafes bursting with Melbourne’s famously good coffee, pubs and restaurants and unique furniture and clothing outlets. Access is gained via the garage and private front door then the stairs to the 2-level air-conditioned loft apartment which is spacious, well furnished and the well-stocked kitchen is equipped with modern alliances and utensils, as are the bathroom and laundry. The apartment is well-serviced by public transport - 5 minute walks to Tram, train and bus. Parking is easy especially with the 24/7 permit supplied by Kerrin. If you like walking or running, Albert Park is 300 meters away, or you can walk or run along the foreshore to Port Melbourne in one direction, or the St Kilda promenade in the other. If you have kids, the Famous Luna Park is a short stroll, as is Acland Street with it's bustling street life and some of Melbourne's best cafes, restaurants and pastry shops. If you love animals, St Kilda has its own Penguin Colony which appears at dusk each night, alongside the St Kilda Pier.

    The Loft @ Weeriwaa is the ideal country retreat. 10 minutes to historic Bungendore & also close to Queanbeyan & Canberra- airport 25 minutes away. The Loft offers spectacular views of Lake George to the east & north. A perfect base for bushwalking, biking, exploring or to simply just relax. Hosts Rosie & John live in the cottage next door & are on hand to offer suggestions for places to go. The brand new space has been designed by Rosie & it oozes style w open plan living spaces. Entrance is via the stairs to a deck, under an original old fruiting pear. Through the French doors, is the kitchen/dining. The living area: a snug, perfect for late-evening reading or relaxation & opens onto the Juliet balcony. Bathroom has a tub with overhead shower & has made use of the upcycled timber. The final space is the bedroom, with its ample light and soft furnishings. The Loft@ Weereewaa is perfect for couples, solo adventurers & business travellers. Babies, toddlers welcome to share bed space for a small extra fee. Babybjorn travel cot or mattress ( all linens incl) Access to The Loft is via stairs.
    The Loft is on Lake Road- which becomes a dirt road. There are no visible neighbours and The Loft overlooks Weereewaa- a.k.a Lake George. Parking right beside the stair access. There is a washing machine and dryer for your convenience underneath. Please ask!

  • Rosie's loft is a beautifully light filled space. Tastefully decorated with all the thoughtful touches and extras one might need; magazines, DVDs, Bluetooth speaker, and a well stocked pantry. Explore the surrounding towns, vineyards and natural landscape, or close the doors, settle in and never leave the bed, couch or balcony with a good book (or lover). Bungendore town centre only a 10 minute drive and Canberra 45mins away. The Loft is private and homely, yet Rosie is on hand when needed with warm hospitality and generosity, that left us feeling truely welcome and spoilt. Thanks for the home made snacks, fresh eggs and brie, that was perfectly gooey by the time we arrived.

  • The Loft was fantastic, we are so glad we chose this and did not stay in Canberra central. Only a 30 minute drive to Canberra. It was not affected by the smoke and dust because of the location looking over Lake George. Rosie and John were very friendly and on arrival it was great to find little treats like farm fresh eggs, bacon, bread, lovely cheese and brownies! Delicious. The location is full of Australian wildlife including a convocation of wedge tailed eagles. The local town of Bungendore is only 10 minutes from the Loft and contains some fantastic coffee shops and restaurants. It was a peaceful and relaxing stay and we will definitely go back again.

Rosie was always prompt with her communications, and her instructions on how to get there was spot on. They are located in a quiet area that was only a short drive from the village of Bungendore, and the kangaroos and wallabies were always seen at dusk and dawn right in the back yard.
