“Located close to Torrey Pines Golf Course, about 15 minutes away, the prime location where hang gliders take off from the cliffs overlooking the ocean. Very natural, dirt parking lot, food served from a trailer. Also is the location of a trail down the cliff to the beach a bit north of Black's Beach, a previously legal nude beach, (and some people still do :-). ”
“Beautiful PGA Tour course in Torrey Pines State Park on inexpensive municipal course. Very hard to get reservations due to with robocalling companies who snag all the tee times, but occasionally you get lucky. The Torrey Pine is the rarest pine tree in the U.S. It only grows in this small State Park and Santa Rosa island off the coast by Santa Barbara.”
“The University of California, San Diego campus is about 15 minutes west of this Airbnb. The Geisel Library of the university is voted as one of the top 10 most beautiful libraries in the world. ”
“The most significant for bold architecture, scientific discoveries, and a prime location looking out to the Pacific Ocean. A great place for those interested in architecture, design, sustainable building materials, photography, and the story of Jonas Salk, who discovered the cure for the polio, founder of the Salk Institute. "Hope lies in dreams, in imagination, and in the courage of those who dare to make dreams into a reality." Dr. Jonas Salk ”
“Upscale seafood and steak chain featuring half-price happy hours, a deep wine list and swanky surrounds. Open for lunch and dinner. Zagat rated San Diego’s Best Restaurant Service (within walking distance and 1 mile of the unit)”
