Great place. The views are superb from the house. Our 6 and 4 year old had plenty of space for playing outside and had a very short walk to the swing park. Another short walk past that to the Tayvallich Inn which was good enough for us to be back 4 times during our stay! Great walks up the nearby hills and plenty boat trips. Really enjoyed our week at 'Auchenbeag'. Host Iain was easily contactable should there have been any issues, however no issues at all.

Iain's place is lovely. We spent New year there with extended family, including a band of small cousins, it was a great place for kids and adults alike, even in January! The house was really cosy, the view stunning and Iain was very attentive, ensuring we were safely checked in from a distance and kept in touch to make sure that all was well. The house is an easy walk to the village with it's lovely wee cafe and shop. A great spot for a family holiday, we'd love to return in summer.

We absolutely loved the house, the view is stunning and the garden is perfect for picnics if the weather allows. We loved having breakfast with a view at the little cafe and dinner at the pub. We'd definitely come back!

What a Place. Perfect for walking with lots of remote areas to explore. Tayvallich itself is a beautiful little village. The home offers fantastic views across the harbour of Loch Sween. There are plenty of great walks up the road where the holiday home is situated. One of which brings you to one of the surrounding mountain peaks which provide stunning views across to Jura. Tayvallich is also well situated if you are wanting to visit Jura as there is a small ferry that leaves from the harbour that takes about an hour. Would definitely come again in the future.

The Byre was just perfect for our short break. Beautifully finished and it had everything we required for our stay. Mary was there to welcome us and give us any information we needed. There was also fruit and milk provided on our arrival. It is in a lovely location, peaceful and tranquil but you can also access local amenities and walk to the Tayvallich Inn for a meal and pint.

We had a lovely mid-week stay at the Byre. The accommodation is in a great location and a quick walk to the coffee shop and pub, which both serve great food. Tayvallich is so pretty and the surrounding area is beautiful with loads of lovely walks and beaches. We hope to be back for another visit soon! Thanks to Mary for being a great host and for accommodating our wee toddler.

We had a wonderful stay in Mary's lovely cottage, It was very cosy and quaint with all the mod-cons. We honestly couldn't fault it. Mary was a fantastic host always very helpful. We really appreciated the welcome goodies. We would have no hesitation in recommending Mary and her wonderful cottage to fellow travellers.

A warm welcome from Mary kicked off our 3 days just perfectly. The Byre was everything we hoped for: clean, stylish and comfortable. A perfect spot for exploring the nature reserve (fantastic views) and just a 5 minute pootle down the road to the delicious inn. Carsaig is a perfect 15min amble away and very pretty. Highly recommended and just the loveliest home and place for a quick getaway. The torches were an appreciated touch when pottering back from the pub under the star laden sky!

A beautiful and peaceful location to spend a few days getting away from it all. It's well off the beaten track, but that's all part of the attraction. A lovely and cosy lodge with an extremely well equipped kitchen. The wood burner was already lit on arrival and Jane & James made sure I knew where things were and were available should I need anything else (although I didn't). I'll certainly be back in the area to explore further and Kirkland will be high on my list of places to stay when I do return.

This accommodation is wonderfully situated in a very underrated area of Scotland. It is perfectly organised for 3 people (couple plus one extra), unbelievably well equipped to a high quality, and although compact is not in the least cramped. For off-season visits, you will be toasty warm with a more-than-adequate wood burner (fuel provided) and back-up electric heating when you haven't time to get the burner going. "Cosy" is a very accurate description, in a positive way. There is also a large and excellent collection of books. Beds very comfortable. The Christmas decoration was a nice touch. It was nice sitting in the summer house, even in winter. It isn't clear from the picture, but the lodge is on the land side of the road, but being a dead-end road to nowhere it isn't an issue. Host helpful and unobtrusive.

The fire was lit, the chalet cosy and clean and unbelievably well appointed, and there was a delicious lemon sponge for afternoon tea. The chalet is really well located for fabulous walks, wildlife spotting, birds, otters and seals. You want for nothing at Kirkland.

Jane has done everything to ensure that you immediately feel at the property well. It lacks a nothing. Whether spices and oil for cooking or a welcome cake, you quickly feel at home.

This was such a lovely break- beautiful lodge with the lake on our doorstep. Otters every night- blessed! Thank you Jane!

Our stay at Kirkland was perfect: comfortable, clean, really well organized and hosted by Jane (who baked us an irresistible welcome cake), and above all in the most beautiful and peaceful location. That's the great thing about Kirkland - it's remote (2.5 hours drive from Glasgow) but also in the middle of things to do and see (Kilmartin museum and pre-historic sites, Crinan canal, wildlife everywhere). Or you can just relax and do very little in the cosy lodge! We'll be back for sure

Jane has certainly created a holiday home that wants for nothing. We were extremely impressed with how well equipped Kirkland was. We really would of been happy to of stayed there longer. There is all manner of things provided to ensure you are entertained within the lodge and then the surroundings offer extensive adventures within its beautiful nature. A fabulous home in a fantastic setting, right in the heart of where Scotland was born. Stephanie and Adrian are delightful hosts and the breakfasts are wonderful. The room was warm and comfortable and the whole experience was a refreshing break. We would highly recommend to anyone.

The house itself is arranged perfectly, with comfort and an effortless feeling of graceful natural living. Adrian and Stephanie were great hosts from the second we arrived. The house was not hard to find - we had no trouble. Beautiful scenery and not another house in sight. The room was very clean and uncluttered which was very calming. The bath was one of the best I've had! Stephanie cooked delicious breakfasts and an evening meal which was very convenient after a long drive. Adrian's knowledge of the surrounding area was very helpful in finding things to do regardless of the weather. Walking shoes essential to explore the local area. Thank you once again.

Stay here. Adrian and Stephanie have a gift. And they share it with others. The rooms were beautiful, serene and tranquil and cozy. You won't find better homemade food than that made by Stephanie. Seriously. And don't forget the pastoral hillside the house is nested in-- absolutely stunning. Adrian is super passionate about the local history and provided excellent guidance about local historic sites and scenic locations. Both Stephanie and Adrian are very friendly and wonderful hosts who truly know how to make you feel at home. Don't forget to meet Peggy McNaughty, their pup. We will be back.

Our stay in Crinan was absolutely wonderful. Adrian and Stephanie made us feel very welcome and were a wonderful source of information for the area. The pictures are an accurate description of the house and everything was perfectly clean. I definitely recommend staying with them if you are looking for a peaceful Scottish getaway in the countryside. Definitely take them up on the offer of their modernized full Scottish breakfast, it was super tasty! If you do book, one thing to keep in mind is just how remote the house is and to make sure you have a car that can handle a lot of uneven roads and make it up a steep gravel hill. I was really thankful we ended up not renting a Fiat. Also make sure to pay attention to the directions they give you because gps will take you to a totally wrong house. (We ended up way out in a private field because we didn't read the instructions.) Thank you again Stephanie and Adrian for making our stay so wonderful!

A perfect location for us in stunning area. The welcome we received was the most generous that I have encountered anywhere in the world. We arrived to find fresh eggs, bread and jamS, amongst other foodstuffs including a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge ! How wonderful, thank you! Beautiful little cottage in 'the middle of nowhere' with wonderful views. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cottage in beautiful Scottish nature. In the area you can make beautiful walks with many standing stones and cairns to visit. The cottage has everything you need (fridge, washing machine, fireplace, garden with chairs, drying rack etc) and Ali's warm welcome makes your visit completely complete :)

Hand on heart, this is the best Air B&B we have used, in fact it is one of the best cottages we have used full stop. If you're looking for peace, quiet, relaxation, nature and the opportunity to get away from the rat race I MUST recommend that you stay here, it would be impossible to be disappointed!

Dunan's cottage is the perfect little getaway! It's so peaceful and quiet but with all the comforts of home. It had a nice big enclosed garden for our dog to run around in but mostly she played with the nearby farm dogs. Tucked away up a forest track we didn't have to worry about her getting anywhere near busy roads. There was a little welcome basket waiting for us with some of the tastiest bread and jams I've ever had! We were surprised at the size of the cottage itself it was very spacious and the little shower was nice and hot. Honestly 5 stars is not enough to rate Ali's place it was everything we wanted it to be and more! Thankyou so much for having us!

We really loved the cottage - not huge but big enough, cozy, nicely decorated and really well equipped. Nearby nice hiking trails and though a bit of the mainroads (10 min by car) well placed for many trips. We (including the dog) felt very very welcome, the friendliness and also the welcome "package" was extraordinary. We would definitely stay there again!

We stayed here as we were visiting family near by for Christmas. We have walked past this cottage for many years thinking how lovely it looks, so it was great to have a reason to stay. It's a great spot and is much bigger than it appears from the outside!

Lovely cottage, and very practical as well. Washer/dryer, dishwasher, cooker all worked perfectly, which is surprisingly rare in my experience. Fabulous communications, easy check-in, and a proper real ale pun just a couple minutes' walk away. Greay place!

After our one week holiday through Scotland, we found the cottage easily and got a lovely welcome card from Brendan and Lex. Our three days stay was absolutely relaxing, it was quite comfortable and we enjoyed the stunning view around the cottage. We spent five lovely days in Lock 6 cottage on the Crinan Canal. We loved the area ( we enjoyed the boat trip from Crinan with Sandy from Venture-West and the walks in Killmartin Glen and Knapsdale Forest looking for beavers!). Absolutely lovely cottage. In a nice, quiet can-de-sac in the small town of Cairnbaan. The bed was very comfy (king size I believe), the living room was lovely, bathroom was amazing, kitchen incredible and hot tub was the star of the show! Would definitely recommend and I will be booking again!

Davina's cottage is fantastically placed for exploring the area with fantastic Forrest walks or 5mile in each direction canal walk. It's situated next to a very friendly run hotel with fantastic food. The cottage itself is lovely with everything you could need and more hot tub sky tv etc I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone.

If you are considering Gordon and Maureen's studio don't hesitate. This is the very best stay we have had in all of Scotland. We loved the space and we lived Gordon and Maureen. Beautiful studio with beautiful views; clean and upscale.

Gordon and Maureen's Lochside Studio is a wonderful, peaceful retreat to escape to and ideally located to explore the Kintyre Trail or the Crinan Canal and surrounding walks. With lovely hosts and everything you need in the lodge, including a gently flowing waterfall in the back garden, you will be assured a really comfortable stay. If you make it to the island of Gigha, we highly recommend eating at The Boathouse and walking to the end of the island in search of the twin beaches too. We had a really great time and hope to go back to the lodge again. Highly recommended!

Gordon and Maureen's place was brilliant! It was clean, well equipped and extremely private. Maureen gave us a warm welcome and showed us round the studio as well as giving tips on places to visit in the area, but also allowed us lots of privacy during our stay. The studio also had lots of useful information on local day trips and tourist information. We'll definitely be back!

Maureen and Gordon were wonderful hosts! They were very kind and generous - we couldn't have asked for more. Their Lochside Studio is beautifully kept and well equipped. With such gorgeous views you needn't go out at all - the Studio even has it's own waterfall. If you do venture out however, the Studio is ideally situated near the Knapdale Forest, Crinan Canal, Lochs and coastline. We cant wait to return!

Simply an amazing place to stay! Great view, super spacious and comfortable accommodations. The location is peaceful and away from the main tourist routes but there are fascinating places to explore nearby. Gordon and Maureen went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Couldn't ask for a better setting loch to the front, waterfall to the back. Gordon and Maureen were fantastic host, lots of little treats were left for our arrival, and also Gordon brought croissants for us on the last day. Would highly recommend to everyone.

HIGHLY recommended. We had a really good time at Michael's, although we werent able to meet him personally he was very responsive and gave us a lot of helpful suggestions. The place is absolutely gorgeous and is in a nice quite town.

We had a great holiday with our 10 week old son. Michaels house was quirky and cosy, and a great spot for people watching on the canal. We got great tips for activities we enjoy. Fantastic area with lots of walks, cycling and cute cafes with home baking. The road to kilberry is a stunning drive or cycle, would recommend it.

We spent two days at Michael's cottage and we had a pleasant time. The cottage is spacious and has everything you need, including various appliances if you want to eat at home. The view on the canal and on the loch is amazing and the area is really quiet. Michael kept in touch during our stay via various messages and suggestions.

A very good base for seeing Argyll. Sadly the weather wasn't on our side for all planned cycling/walking trips but there is a DVD player and lots of films!!

Although Micheal was not on the premises, he was absolutely attentive to every query with great suggestions of places to see, as well as fun facts about the area. The house is cozy and right on the Canal. Just the right size for a couple or small family. There is a mass of info about the area and loads of OS maps to help plan hikes. Scads of books and a nice selection of music too! It's lovely to walk along the canal in the evening, maybe help bring a boat or two through! I would defiantly recommend 1 Linnet cottages!

We had a very peaceful and relaxing stay in this cottage right next to the canal. The setting is great - peace and quiet with lots of good walking and cycling nearby, but just a couple of minute's walk in Ardrishaig to a lovely cafe and handy grocery shop. Michael took the time to send us some very helpful, personalised recommendations which we really appreciated.

Jeanette was friendly and gave us a thorough tour of the apartment. The apartment was exceptionally clean and well prepared for our stay. Ideal location for us visiting family, with a beautiful Loch view.

The location of the flat is very convenient for walking into the village and for a drive to various sites e.g. Inverary Castle etc. We would definitely like to stay there again!

We had a great stay at Mheall Cottage, the place is very comfy and cozy, exactly as described on the page, and James is a wonderful host - he went extra lengths to make us feel welcome, comfortable and help us, even when he didn't have to. He has also excellent knowledge about interesting places around and was very helpful when we planned our trips. James is also great and easy to talk to, we enjoyed his company. Location is very nice, quiet and rural with beautiful scenery, and we had fun watching a live sheep show right from our window, all with quads, dogs and a stubborn ram :)

We were warmly greeted by James on our arrival and he was the perfect host ensuring we were well briefed, comfortable and happily settled into Mheall Cottage. The way the accommodation is arranged is perfect for both the privacy of guests and for James. Guests have their own entrance and a very generous space to enjoy. This comprises a spacious bedroom and ensuite and the fabulous 'breakfast room' with a gorgeous rural view. As the title describes, Mheall Cottage is certainly peaceful and comfortable. The bed is very comfortable, the towels are large and fluffy and the shower is excellent. The whole place is tastefully decorated and the cottage has a lovely welcoming feel. James has thought of everything! There are books, brochures and maps to delve into; there are binoculars and a plug adapter; the continental breakfast selection is fantastic, including plunger coffee and earl grey tea; and the used crockery and cutlery you place on the tray in the morning magically appears clean on the shelf on your return each day! James has a wealth of knowledge about the local and wider region and generously shared this with us. We wished we had more time to chat with him. The location is rural and remote and fitted perfectly with the sort of place we like to stay. In saying that, it's not far to small local towns. Because we were touring the west coast Isles and catching ferries from both Oban and Kennacraig, the location of Mheall cottage was great as we were about half way between ports. We highly recommend Mheall Cottage to those wishing to experience a 'peaceful and comfortable' stay in this beautiful region of Scotland.

The site is lovely, nestled amidst nature. Not a typical tourist place, is for lovers of culture (prehistoric tombs) and nature (natural reserves). well decorated, clean and comfortable home. The anfritión was lovely and we explained that we could visit and fully matched. Their conversation was very interesting and instructive.

Fantastic home with easy access to the beach and the rest of the Loch. Enjoyed walking along the canal and seeing the boats going through the locks. Would definitely consider coming again soon!

After a quickly resolved issue with our booking, Anne was a wonderful host who went above and beyond for our visit. She provided breakfast supplies for our late arrival and was available for any Adobe on what to see in the area. We were placed in the top floor flat due to a cross booking and the place was much better than we expected.

This is truly one of the most pleasant places I've stayed in my life, the flat itself is massive, the photos really don't do it justice, the back garden leads directly on to the beach, which was yet another fantastic surprise. We were meet by Anne, Lindsey's mother, who showed us around the flat and gave us some information on the local area, she was more than hospitable and made us feel really welcome. The local area is really lovely, there's a fair bit to explore and discover for yourself. If there was any downside to the entire time we spent at this great place it would be the weather, don't fret though, looking the lashing rain sitting beside a roaring fire made the rain a treat I could not recommend this more - you won't be pleasantly surprised, you'll be outstanding with your stay!

What a fantastic week away we had in your beautiful flat right by the loch!! Arriving late in the evening, the stove was alight and heating on, and food, tea and coffee available for us - it was such a pleasant surprise. We felt very welcome there - the flat is peaceful and quiet, all rooms very large, and it was equipped with everything we would need for our stay (plenty of stuff to cook a Christmas dinner!!). A short walk to the end of the garden and you have such a wonderful view across the loch. We took our bikes up with us and found some fabulous cycle routes in the area. In addition, there are plenty of great walks. It was a fantastic location for our Christmas break and we felt a week away was just not sufficient to see and do everything we wanted. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

This was the first time I ever tried Airbnb and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience to begin with. We reached Bumbles house after minor struggles to find it and were welcomed in such a lovely way we instantly felt comfortable and at home. Sitting in Bumbles kitchen drinking tea and talking was so much fun we actually had to force ourselves to set off again in order to get dinner at the Crinan Hotel (which is only a short drive away). We got lucky and had the chance to talk to her even longer the second evening since she offered to cook us dinner and served the most delicious Haggis I have tasted so far. (We also loved her ginger pudding – if you ever get a hold on one of her puddings, do try them!). The guest room is very spacious and beautiful. And she cooked my mom an amazing breakfast while also offering bread and muesli. Bumble is a wonderful host. I loved the way our stay with her felt like visiting a good friend, even though this was the first time we ever met! She made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed every minute in her company. Thanks to Bumbles open manner my mom, although quite shy since her English skills are a bit rusty, felt so at ease she became rather talkative. Nach kleineren Problemen beim Finden des Hauses wurden wir bei unserer Ankunft derart herzlich von Bumble begrüßt, dass wir uns bei ihr sofort wohl gefühlt haben. Bei einer gemütlichen Tasse Tee verquatschten wir die nächsten Stunden in ihrer eindrucksvollen Küche, bis wir uns aufgrund der vorangeschrittenen Zeit aufmachen ins Crinan Hotel aufmachen mussten, wo wir nach einer kurzen Autofahrt am Hafen zu Abend aßen. Glücklicherweise hatten wir am nächsten Abend noch mehr Gelegenheit mit Bumble zu reden, da sie uns freundlicherweise anbot das beste Haggis zu kochen, das ich bisher gegessen habe. (Falls ihr übrigens die Möglichkeit habt einen ihrer Puddings zu probieren solltet ihr euch diese Gelegenheit keinesfalls entgehen lassen!). Das Gästezimmer ist sehr geräumig, gemütlich und elegant, das Bett zudem wunderbar bequem. Und neben Müsli und Brot hat Bumble meiner Mutter ein derart gutes Frühstück gekocht, dass sie heute noch davon schwärmt. Bumble ist ein wundervoller Gastgeber. Unser Aufenthalt bei ihr fühlte sich an, als würden wir eine gute Freundin besuchen, obwohl wir uns zum ersten Mal begegnetet waren. Bei ihr fühlten wir uns augenblicklich Willkommen und genossen jede Minute ihrer Gesellschaft. Selbst meine Mutter, deren Englisch etwas eingerostet ist, wurde dank Bumbles offener Art ziemlich gesprächig. Wir haben es sehr bedauert, dass wir nach zwei Nächten bereits wieder abreisen mussten. Wir werden sie auf jeden Fall wieder besuchen!

As soon as we arrived at the farmhouse Bumble made us feel so welcome and at ease. She is a brilliant host with a beautiful home, and we were able to have some interesting conversations and delicious food whilst staying here! Argyll and Bute is a stunning area, with lots of places to explore, and Bumble gave us really helpful advice on the best things to see and do. I highly recommend staying here, it's worth it just to meet and chat with Bumble!

Bumble is a most pleasant and hospitable person. We were welcomed with open arms, and immediately ushered into the kitchen of her charming farmhouse where tea was offered straight away. Nothing was too much bother for Bumble, and she entertained us with stories covering just about everything. Her local knowledge is second to none, and many suggestions of things to do, and see, were freely forthcoming. If you get the chance to visit Bumble then we highly recommend it, and our only regret was only being there for one night.

We had a wonderful stay at Bumble's airbnb and realize that a longer stay there is a must as there is so much to see in the area. The house, not far from Lochgilphed was easy to access and was very quiet. The bedroom and bathroom were well appointed, large and airy, immaculately clean and Bumble provided beautiful linen. Bumble was an engaging host and we look forward to returning someday.

Cant recommend highly enough! Bumble is a genuinely kind, warm host with some really interesting stories. I havent laughed so much in a long time! Both Bumble, and beautiful dog Blossom, really make you feel welcome and entirely at home in their lovely farmhouse. The farmhouse is in a beautiful location and inside a lovely, calm environment. Very comfy double bed. From tasty suppers cooked in the aga to "bracing" rainy walks with Blossom, a fantastic few days spent in Lochgilphead.

Bumble was a wonderful hostess. I have never been made more at home than at her place. She was extremely friendly and warm. Not only is she a really nice person but both her place and her food were gorgeous. She even took us for a walk to the stone cup and ring marks. I hope I will come back and spend more time at her place. Thanks again!!!!

For my stay I've had the chance to choose between a hotel in central Inveraray and Bumble farmhouse and I knew that by choosing Bumble I'd have made the right choice. Adorable farmhouse clean and warm located in a nice and quiet village covered by green all over, my favorite colour. Bumble such a nice person to know and to speak with, who travelled around the world and lived abroad, open views and quiet and keen on listening and knowing people. That evening was her friend's birthday and instead of going out looking for a place to eat (even if she already gave us some hints) we've been invited to stay and have dinner with them. I enjoyed it tremendously... I still laugh if I think about the clock changing one hour backwards. Pet friendly as we are, couldn't have been different! thank you Bumble

We had the most wonderful time staying at Bumble's. We have been traveling through England and Scotland for the past two months and it is not without exaggeration to say that we saved the best until last. Bumble is a wonderful host and we had a really great time.

although i didn't get to stay there personally, i heard it was wonderful. Suzanne was great to work with when going back and forth with the group that did stay there. wish i couldn't have made it out there myself. maybe sometime soon.

A stunningly beautiful place. Very well equipped. Great snooker table, sauna and plunge pool that were all in constant use! We had two young children with us, who loved the gardens and the plunge pool! The house was beautifully warm with plenty of wood for the big open fires with a nice glass of wine in the evenings. It's a huge space that easily accommodated all 14 of us without getting in each other's way. Beds were all very comfortable and the views from the front rooms are to die for! The huge kitchen makes a great place to congregate too! A really beautiful place with a very happy and welcoming feel. Highly recommended.

A unique and magical place, we had a wonderful time.

Absolutely perfect break. The location is very remote, but this is exactly what we wanted - it was beautiful and allowed for some lovely walks close-by. The property was perfect for us - it had lots of large clean rooms - 2 massive lounges and a lovely kitchen. We had a large group of people but actually found ourselves having plenty of space to ourselves it was so big. Check in was simple and well organised and Suzanne was great to communicate with. We also met the nearest neighbours (who actually live a good 15 minute walk away) and they were super lovely too - in fact we sat as a group of 18 and drank a couple of drams of whisky with them when we met them on a walk. Couldn't recommend the place any more and can't wait to find an excuse to return. Thanks

This place was amazing! We expected a great place based on the photos, but once we got there it was unreal! This place is stunning and includes sauna, pool and even snooker room. There are tennis courts as well! All in a stunning setting. Communications with Suzanne was good as well. We can highly recommend Castleton House!

We had an unforgettable weekend at Castleton house! The grounds were absolutely beautiful and the house was very spacious and well equipped for everything we needed. The sunshine was an added bonus :-) the host Suzanne was extremely helpful in the run up to our stay and while she gave us space to enjoy the weekend uninterrupted, she was on hand should we have needed any help. This is an incredible home set in an area of outstanding serenity and beauty in the Argyll right on the loch . We booked the house and carriage house to organise a much overdue family- get- together and our wedding . We were blessed with perfect weather and were able to make full use of the grounds and beautiful day room and dining room for the occasion, with a family improvised show in te lounge in the evening. We easily accomadated all of the party and every member of our group felt relaxed, comfortable and blessed for the time we had in such an incredible place. Everything you could possibly need is in the house and it really is home from home. although incredibly grand and luxurious it also has an incredible homely and down to earth feel about it so that even parents of younger members could relax and enjoy hearing the children fill the place with laughter, as you rarely see them once they are in. Hide and seek, proved to be a favourite and went on for hours. We will definitely be planning return visits for future family events. Bumble catering is also excellent ( Bumble catered for our every need over the weekend including a coeliac diet wedding banquet for all to avoid cross contamination which was wonderful ) and also Maria from Icon Hair in Lochgilphead if you are having a special occasion along with and Leanne Fraser for make-up. The people of Argyll are incredibly welcoming, gracious and helpful. There is a Co-op in Lochgilphead , ten minutes in the car which has everything you need and Craobh Haven , 35 mins in the car has Barry with the Jenny Wren for an exceptional trip to the Corryvrekan whirlpool, not to be missed. Achnabraek is only up the road as well for the stone cirlces and Tarbert is beautiful for a traditional harbour.

A beautiful cosy cottage in the highlands for anyone that want to experience a unique scottish highland stay. Well equiped, Scenic, Friendly and helpfull owners, highly recommended

Our stay at Helen & Chris cabin was one of the best we had on our travels in Scotland! The surroundings are absolutley beautiful to go for walks. The cabin is so comfortable and you can see in every corner that this was arranged with so much love. The breakfast with eggs of their own chicken was perfect. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Chris and Helen were wonderful hosts; welcoming, helpful and kind. They gave us great advice on what to do in the area. We were provided with detailed info sheets, typed up by the hosts on the local area, where to go walking, where to eat, activities to do etc. The cabin was more than we could have ever expected, an idyllic spot, very comfortable and cosy, and beautifully decorated, with fresh flowers. A delicious breakfast was provided - especially the freshly laid eggs! We had an extra mattress on the floor which Helen and Chris kindly provided, which worked well. We wish we could have stayed for longer!

We were delighted to find this beautiful cabin in such a great location in Kilmartin Glen . Chris and Helen have paid great attention to every detail you might need. Our stay was very comfortable and , even although it was very rainy on one of our days there, we felt very cosy and relaxed with the wood stove on reading and just having a peaceful break. We will hopefully return and would definitely recommend the cabin and Helen and Chris as hosts.

The cabin is far more spacious than you expect, and Helen very kindly provided us with milk, eggs, orange juice and butter for breakfast. The kitchen is well equipped and the log fire keeps it lovely and warm. Whole place is spotlessly clean and Helen is very knowledgeable and helpful regarding things to do and see in the local area.

Wow! This stay was an absolute dream. Helen & Chris are such a lovely couple and made us feel so welcome. The house & cabin are in the most beautiful and peaceful area, we didn't want to leave. The bed is so comfortable, the place is so tastefully decorated and all of the appliances worked a treat. The folder left full of walks was wonderful and so helpful to guide us on local areas. Strongly recommended! honestly one of the best experiences I've had at an air BnB. Thanks Helen & Chris !

This cozy, adorable cabin nestled in the charming village of Slockavullin has beautiful views from every window and has been thoughtfully equipped everything you could want. Helen and Chris are lovely people; meeting them will be a highlight of your trip. Kilmartin Glen is a beautiful and special place; walk a mile or so from your cabin to the Kilmartin Hotel and you'll pass lush fields and prehistoric monuments on your way to enjoy an extensive selection of whiskeys. You won't want to leave.

Cairns Cottage overlooked lovely fields and in the magical standing stone area of Kilmartin Glen. It was well equipped and just right or a couple. Plenty to do in the area, too. As mobile internet access was patchy, vital that directions are downloaded before travel, as the postcode covers a wide area. A very generous welcome pack when we did find the place!

Excellent location for checking out Kilmartin's ancient monuments, visiting the Knapdale forest and the Crimean Canal. Plenty of heating, and lots of little touches to make you feel at home. Great to be able to relax in the garden with a wine at the end of a busy day!

Chris & Meadhbh's place was perfect for our stay. The location was wonderful: we were able to visit Oban and Jura as day trips, but there was also loads to see and do in the local area of Kilmartin Glen and we walked to the Kilmartin Hotel a couple of evenings. We also really enjoyed the stunning view from the living room and front garden. The cottage was comfortable and well-equipped and the kitchen had everything we needed to self-cater. Even though we didn't meet, Chris & Meadhbh made us feel really welcome, all arrangements were smooth and their communication was great. Highly recommended hosts!

Chris's cottage was great ! Very senic & historic area of scotland. Chris was very helpful & a great host . The cottage is very cozy and we'll supplied. I would stay again. The nabours were very friendly and helpful.

If you like to be secluded this is the place you. Lots of historical sites close by, but you do need a car. Dunadd fort is worth the climb, view is fantastic. Cairns Cottage has everything you need and more
