Avventura di vela classica ad Ortigia
This half day cruise aboard the charming classic sail boat Fiesta is a very relaxing and romantic way to spend an afternoon on the water in the magical town of Ortigia. We usually sail in the afternoon along Siracusa coast line and within the marine sanctuary of Plemmirio where the water is always warm enough for a dip to refresh or to explore the coves. During the sailing I would like you to help me trying your hand at ruddering Fiesta and trimming the sails with me, as part of the crew. We eventually celebrate the sunset ritual getting anchored in the bay in front of the castle with a rich aperitif based on local wines and food provided by farmers and producers. The boat Fiesta is a 30 feet Tahiti Ketch built in Sicily in 1968 according to the original plans of the american designer John Hanna by 1922. The boat is charming and well maintained with enough space for groups up to five people. Cabin, head and deck-shower are available on board, we provide snorkel gears and towels as well. This experience is for everyone and it is a different way to relax and, at the same time, live the sea for one day. Let us know ahead of time if you have any dietary restrictions or special needs. This is also an environmentally friendly sea experience.

Il canyon di Cava Grande passeggiata rilassante nella natura
We are going to visit, walk and enyiong, Cava Grande canyon, with the chance, if you are up to, of swimming in Cassibile River. We are going to access the canyon, walking by an old concealed mule path, used by shepards in the past time to get to the bottom of the gorge, or using some secondary trails taking into the canyon We are going to do it respecting the "path" itself, the environment around us, and the natural places we are visiting, trying to have the less impact possible, caused by our presence. I invite you to practice the “zen karma circle” and possibly to take away any little rubbish when we can. My choice to make guide only few people. Not because this tour is fancy, posh, luxury or exclusive, but simple because I care to be in the nature, trying to be less intrusive as possible. We will walk and chill out and share good stories, and celebrate nature. The trip by car to get to our location will last around 30/50 minutes from Siracusa. The walk is easy and undemanding. The time to come back to town can vary and it's only indicative.
Cooking class in the farm
I am Manuela and I will welcome you to our family farm which is located in a redeveloped stone quarry. We will take a walk in our fields to recognize the edible wild plants and collect the vegetables and fruits that we will use to prepare an authentic Sicilian meal. Returning from the walk we will move to the kitchen where we will put our hands in dough using our wholemeal Sicilian wheat flour for fresh pasta and our extra virgin olive oil to enhance the vegetables and herbs collected. We will make a complete typical Sicilian menu that we will taste together with our natural wine. Other things to note if you want you can also stay with us and enjoy all the services including swimming pool and spa.
