Holiday houses in Sunshine Beach

Just east of Noosa Heads, Sunshine Beach is a laid-back coastal town with a seriously great beach. If you’re not here to frolic in the golden sand or surf Sunshine Beach’s reliable breaks, chances are you’re taking advantage of nearby Noosa National Park and its variety of ecosystems, including paperbark forests, rainforest, heathlands, sand dunes, and untouched beaches.

Sunshine Beach is also a short drive from the Sunshine Coast, home to an endless array of outstanding surf beaches, heart-thumping theme parks, and cute beach towns. Some of the more off-beat attractions on the Sunshine Coast include a ginger-themed amusement park and a gigantic pelican sculpture perched on the side of the road, providing some fun photo opportunities.

The summer months tend to be the hottest and driest time to visit, making it an ideal time for outdoor activities. The season also tends to be on the busy side, so it is a good idea to secure your holiday rentals in Sunshine Beach as far ahead as possible. The spring and fall are wonderful times to visit as the weather is warm and dry yet it is much quieter than the summer months. The winter tends to be rainier but it is also the quietest time of the year, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself all alone on a spectacular beach. If you want to visit any part of the hinterlands of Queensland during your trip, be sure to pack warm clothes as it can be a bit chilly once you get away from the coast.

Noosa National Park

This lovely park includes Noosa Headland, Lake Weyba, Peregian, and Coolum and features an astonishing variety of ecosystems within its 9,800 acres. The park serves as a wildlife sanctuary for koalas, cockatoos, Wallum froglets, and ground parrots and if you are lucky, you may be able to spot a few animals as you enjoy the beautiful scenery. While you are there, make sure to visit the Laguna lookout for fantastic views of the coastline and the mouth of the Noosa River.

Sunshine Beach

Sunshine Beach is an expansive golden sand beach with sparkling blue water that is an extremely popular place for surfing. The beach is very spacious, which means that even during the peak season, you will have plenty of space to spread out. Keep in mind that there is a strong rip along the beach, so make sure to only swim at the patrolled sections.

Noosa Heads

With on-trend restaurants and bars featuring live music, Noosa Heads is a great place to spend the evening. The main thoroughfare, Hastings Street, is where you’ll find many upmarket shops, craft breweries and distilleries, and waterfront eateries. You can even hire aqua bikes near Noosa River and combine a day out on the water with a relaxing bike ride.
