  • Tim was a wonderful host. He is very warm and has great knowledge about the local wildlife. The little house is just as it appears in the photos, clean and comfortable. We were delighted to find everything we could need to cooking an evening meal and along with coffee and bread for breakfast the next morning. We were also lucky enough to be visited by one of the bandicoots before leaving. We'd love to visit again, thanks for a great stay!

    Luke2020-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for being such a great host Tim! We had the best getaway at bandicoot springs and will definitely be back again soon!

    Jess2020-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • This little gem in the Adelaide hills is perfect for anyone needing a getaway without having to trek into the mountains. Easy to find and the host Tim is easy to deal with. Couldn’t be happier with the space, everything you need and nothing you don’t. I’m 6’5” and it was still big enough for me to get around, comfy bed, warm heater, excellent BBQ. It’s all here. Just the birds and the furry friends. Didn’t hear a car the whole time. Perfect

    Struan2020-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Thoroughly recommend. Incredibly cute cabin with thoughtful hospitality touches. Tim is a generous host and you will want to stay as long as possible in this magic spot!

  • This place is a hidden gem and a great place to unwind. Tim has been an awesome host and we felt very welcomed. Highly recommend!

    Janyce2020-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is the first time my girlfriend and I went to stay at Bandicoot Springs and the entire place was beyond our expectations. Tim has done a wonderful job designing the cabin, the outdoors surroundings which take away all your stress within moments after you arrive. Soon enough after you arrive the "gang" as Tim says arrives to welcome you to their neighborhood, a pair of ducks and bandicoots incredibly friendly. Apart from the entire place being so beautiful and artistic what makes the Bandicoot Springs unique is how peaceful and serene it is. Without any doubt we recommend this place and we will be back soon!

    Angelos2020-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Complete relaxation! Secluded romantic getaway with very pretty views. Light the bbq, open a bottle of bubbles and hang out with the resident bandicoots on the deck. Property was very clean.

  • Fiona's place is amazing. Everything you could want is provided. When we weren't out and about we were relaxing in the swing chairs watching the world go by. Great place, can thoroughly recommend if you're looking for something a little different.

  • So peaceful and so unique! Highly recommend staying at the cube.

    Brie2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • The Cube is a wonderful little getaway for 2 people. The place is so well designed that it's easy to forget how little the accommodation is. There are many places to sit, relax and enjoy watching the river and the birdlife. If you need a little more activity, there are well maintained fishing rods along with a double kayak. We had an excellent stay and would recommend it.

    Rebecca2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place exceeded our expectations! Small yet spacious, peaceful and stimulating, simple and luxurious. Fiona provided ample breakfast for us (we are vegan) and was easy to communicate with. Would absolutely love to return here - we were sad to leave. Great space highly recommend!

A cosy orchard cottage circa 1890 with a rustic vibe, surrounded by the Adelaide Hills' finest wineries. Sitting high on 16 acres with an old apple orchard, it is one of the original homes of the area and enjoys stunning views of hills and the little village of Lenswood. Relax in the gorgeous outdoor clawfoot bath looking out to the hills. Enjoy a glass of red by the fire or cook up a storm in the vintage wood-fired Aga.
Follow us on Instagram: @ode_totheorchard Ode to the Orchard is completely private up on the hill, with only distant neighbours in sight. Two cosy bedrooms with queen beds, bathroom with shower over bath, lounge with wood fire (wood and firelighters provided), 2 leather lounges and armchair, full kitchen with new stove and coffee machine (pods provided) and wood-fired Aga oven. The separate dining room has seating for 6. The laundry room has washer and dryer (washing powder provided), iron and ironing board. The orchard is a short walk from the house and all yours to explore. You will drive past it on your way in. There are front and back porches to enjoy sunrise and sunset over the gorgeous Adelaide Hills area. We have a lovely outside claw-foot bath (under cover) looking out to the view where you can enjoy the blue sky by day or the stars at night - magical! Cooking in the vintage wood-fired Aga is a beautiful and unique country experience and we highly recommend - it keeps the house extra toasty! We have a recipe for apple crumble waiting for you (Aga instructions provided in the Welcome book). The house is very cosy in winter - the bedrooms have electric blankets and heaters and the lounge has the wonderful wood fire. In summer the house stays cool, especially with bedroom blinds drawn, but we have pedastool fans for a bit of extra breeze. For those traveling with babies there is room for your portacot to be set up in one of the bedrooms or in the dining room (next to the bedrooms) and we can provide a high chair. Please note there is not a screen in front of the combustion fire so you would need to take care with little ones. The deck can look like a large drop off in the photos but it is only 60cm above the garden at the highest point.
Ode to the Orchard enjoys gorgeous views of Lenswood and the Adelaide Hills, wineries close by include Pike & Joyce, Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard, Golding Wines, Anderson Hill, Cobb’s Estate, Tilbrook Estate, The Lane Vineyard, CRFT Wines and Bird in Hand. The quaint German town of Hahndorf is 15 minutes away which is great for a wander and some window shopping. Little ones might enjoy Cleland Wildlife Park in Crafers (20 mins) and also the Big Rocking Horse and Toy Factory in Gumeracha. Stanley Bridge Tavern and the Crafers Hotel are wonderful pubs for a meal. Lost in a Forest in Uraidla (10 mins away) has the best pizzas in the hills and a very cool setting in an old church.
  • Lovely place for a mini getaway.

  • Ode makes you stop, listen, relax, touch and explore. We had the most beautiful experience staying at Romany's place. It was the perfect weekend getaway! The hand selected pieces were lovely, the bed was so comfortable and the extra treats were thoughtful. We loved the outside bath, it was an experienced made all the more perfect with the misty weather. The wood fire helped create the mood and the views are amazing! Romany was a fabulous host. Her communication was quick and friendly. Such a special place to visit! We even bought a piece of Romany's artwork to bring home.

This is more than a regular Airbnb stay - this is your chance to experience the Australian bushland in a glamorous bell tent. Your chance to 'glamp' - glamorous camp! Nestled in Crafers in the stunning Adelaide Hills - less than a 20 min drive from the centre of Adelaide, we are also a few min drive from the famous German village of Hahndorf. Our beautiful bell tent is the perfect base to visit, Adelaide, the fabulous Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale wineries.
UPDATE If your dates are not available we have a second tent on the property www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/35316483 Set on a 3 acre bushland block (we live in the main residence) our bells tents are furnished to a high standard with new queen beds, luxurious cotton sheets, carpets, rugs, and of course fairy lights. Sit out under the stars and watch out for our resident koalas who visit every few days, the shy echidna who lives near our post box (he's a bit hard to spot!) and of course the kangaroos, possums and kookaburras who like to come out at dusk and dawn. Please don't expect manicured lawns and gardens - this is a little peace of real Australian bushland. A chance to experience nature but still be close to the city. We have a nice, clean camping toilet in its own shed or you are welcome to use our home toilet and bathroom if you prefer. Tents are completely waterproof, well ventilated and we provide you with a bbq, all your cooking utensils and outdoor eating areas (sorry no open fires as it's very dry and it's against the law to have a fire at this time of year in case it starts a bushfire). We also hire our tents out to be set up in National Park Campsites and regular campsites (you choose the pitch and we set everything up for your arrival and take it down when you depart).
We are a 10 min drive from the bottom of the freeway and less than 20 min from the centre. We are a few minutes drive from Mount Lofty Summit (lookout over the whole of Adelaide), Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens (these are beautiful!) and the Cleland Conservation Park (where you can cuddle a koala). The famous German village of Hahndorf is a 10 minute drive - it's a great place to order German beer (or Australian) and eat some good German food. Adelaide city is about 25 min bus ride (we can drop you at bus terminal if you don't have a car) and if you're getting the bus to Melbourne it stops here too! In fact the buses from Crafers can take you all over the Adelaide Hills. The gorgeous beaches of Adelaide are about 25 minutes away. We are surrounded by bushland and vineyards and great places to eat. Quaint villages of the Adelaide Hills including Stirling, Aldgate and Bridgewater (with its historic mill and pretty beer garden by the river) are only a few minutes away. McLaren Vale, the famous wine region is less than a half hour drive too, so with us as your base, you will be able to see so much. Oh yes, I forgot to say that if you are a keen cyclist this area is where the Tour Down Under rides though. So lots of amazing scenery to see on your bike. And a big downhill cycle to the city (much of it on a bike path).
  • Wouldn’t change a thing, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. Just an overall really great experience!

  • We absolutely loved our stay, it was so calming, cozy and peaceful. Its the perfect little getaway to disconnect and refresh! There were so many thoughtful touches as well as wine on arrival, tea/coffee and croisants in the morning! The tent was so cozy and comfortable and we cant wait to come back in winter to make use of the campfire! Alva and Duncan were wonderful hosts and were easy to contact had we needed anything but everything was already thought of or explained to us so we could enjoy our time to ourselves.

  • great place. Definitely worth staying at. So relaxing. Kathy was great at communicating and giving me ideas on places around.

    Jasmine2020-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy was a generous host, leaving us fresh cooked bread & cooked breakfast provisions as well as a little Easter treat for our Easter weekend stay. The house was delightfully decorated in rustic style & it was such a peaceful setting to sit by the fire roasting marshmallows & relaxing. Definitely recommend for an easy city break.

    Jess2020-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • A little slice of Australian bush paradise. This rustic place that’s only 20 minutes from the city, but feels like we were in deep country with the cares of the modern world far away! In these uncertain times, we found it the PERFECT place to isolate from the world. This would be so cosy in the coming winter months with the wood fire! The highlights were visiting and feeding Ivanka the resident emu, and although simple and rustic, one of the luxuries there was the beautiful spa tub to soak the stresses away, and the cute breakfast, including delicious home made bread, that went with bacon, eggs, jams, milk, tea, coffee and orange juice! Kathy the host couldn’t have been more lovely and accomodating, checking on us via messages, and allowing us to stay later into the afternoon after check out, to soak in the escape a few hours more! We would love to come back again!

    Jamin2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely perfect! Even better in person, you will not be disappointed, quite the opposite. The host was so warm and lovely, we had the pleasure of meeting her and definitely one of the nicest hosts we've met! So many thoughtful touches, music on arrival, a basket of food in the fridge, equipped with everything you might need and more! Super cosy and private! After chatting to the host and expressing how in love we were with the place, she offered us an extra night with no charge because it was free!! We met the adorable emu and cutest dog, as well as seeing kangaroos and other animals when walking around the property. Best weekend!! Could not recommend enough 😊

    Chiara2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect cosy, snuggle spot nestled amongst the trees. We were lucky to have a koala come hang around right outside and he loved the attention. Generous breakfast provisions with freshly baked bread and amazing Starbucks coffee. Look forward to going back in winter and snuggling by the beautiful fire place. Love this place.😍

    Debbie 2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

    Naomi2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Where do I start.. Well, this place is heaven on earth. The views are so beautiful that you completely forget about any worries you have. I cannot express enough how magical our 2 night stay was. We had the fire on 2 nights in a row that made the whole house toasty warm and cosy. My favourite part was having breakfast out the back while watching the cows and spotting the little calves! One of our highlights was when I held the electric fence without thinking and gave myself a little heart attack 😂 I am 100% coming back and most likely staying for an extra night! I’m never going to another Airbnb again unless it is this place!

  • Margo’s place is a nice place for a getaway to reconnect with nature and remove yourself from civilisation for a few days. There are some animals on the farm that you are welcome to have a look. The cottage itself has everything you’ll need from kitchen to bathroom essentials. Very cosy and homely vibe at the cottage and Margo is very easily contactable. Would recommend!

  • This would be the place I recommend if you like to be away from the city and be close to nature. I enjoy the scent of the eucalyptus trees as we stroll up the path near the cottage. The firewood heater is a real novelty for city dwellers.

    Min2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • A cosy, yet spacious cottage that really felt like home for the weekend. You’re in the middle of beautiful valleys and meet some friendly farm animals. Isolated enough to feel like an escape from civilization but close enough to a supermarket. Margo was easy to communicate with and gave great suggestions. Really loved it, hope to be back soon!

Marion Bay is a gorgeous small seaside country town, on the beautiful Yorke Peninsula. Marion Bay is on the door step of Innes National Park. The Park is a beautiful natural sanctuary full of Australia's best beaches, and is ideal for swimming, surfing, fishing, bush walks and observing the wildlife - we can nearly guarantee that you'll see a kangaroo and emu on your visit! Have a look on the Park's website for further information. Marion Bay has two main beaches; Willyama know for the SS Willyama ship wreck, which is literally a 3 minute walk from the site, and Penguin Point, a vast beach leading to the Marion Bay jetty, which is great for squidding at night. The town has a great cafe, called Beach Break; serving breakfast and lunch, and coffee, cakes and homemade pies. We have partnered with Beach Break to offer you two varieties of picnic hampers! Locally there is also MBC Foods; selling local salt products and offering catering for special occasions, George’s Curries and Inland Sea; a seafood restaurant outside of Warooka.
  • What a well needed get away! The experience was definitely glamorous camping! The outdoor area provided is convenient and perfectly matched alongside the glamping tent. Extremely comfortable inside and more then enough room to eat, sleep, drink and play whilst it rained outside. We needed a much needed getaway and this place definitely provided us with peace.

Take a dip in the hot tub, then relax with a glass of wine as the sky glows with an orange sunset. Listen to the birds and spot the local koalas all while lazing on your private deck watching over the city.
The unit has a separate entrance and is situated outside and under the main house. There is understandably some noise that will be heard from above but we try to minimise this. You also have access to the lower grounds that include a heated spa for your enjoyment. Walk the grounds, pick a lemon or some herbs or even gather some sticks to make a fire in the potbelly while enjoying the view. We prepare the unit specially for each guest with fresh towels and quality linen ensuring the highest standard of cleanliness and comfort prior to your stay. The large modern bathroom will impress, boasting a large black rain maker shower head. And plenty of room for 2! With a full size kitchen your cooking skills will be put to the test! Watch the city lights come to life while you prepare your evening meals. Relax and put your feet up while taking in all the views of the hills, sea and lights on the private deck. Listen to your favourite music on the Bluetooth sound system, and breathe. This is where it’s at! If you prefer to eat out, Indian and Chinese restaurants are a 2 minute drive while the famous Windy Point restaurant is just down the road. Don’t forget to pop into Sheoke cafe at the top of the street or Banana Boogie bakery for Gluten free treats!
A quiet suburb only 10km from the city. The area is renown for the many Gum trees and local wild life, koalas, bird life and Kangaroos. The best views in Adelaide to the city and beach is why we live in Belair! You feel as if you could just reach out and touch the city while the night lights are flickering so bright. Cyclists love Belair, a must for TDU chasers. If you enjoy bush walking then we have you covered too, with Brown Hill Creek and the National park right here. Or if cafe's and resturants are your thing, your set!
  • This is a beautiful apartment with a spectacular view to overlook the city and colorful sunset and sun rise, especially in the small but cozy and green deck. I love it so much. All the facilities are available just like you feel like home, highly recommended.

  • This spot is such a gem! Peaceful location, but so easy to get to everything in the city. Jennifer has thoughtfully taken care of all of the details for a very comfortable stay. Amazing views over the city are a standout. I wish we could have stayed longer!

  • First things first.. THE VIEW, WOW! It's hard not to spend the whole time of your trip staring at the beautiful view this apartment has! This place was amazing, the location is perfect & private allthough a car is advised if you want to venture out into the city and beyond. Hosts are very friendly (& can't forget Baci the dog) and were attentive offering extra towels & recommendations. Comfortable bed and the decor is perfect (we especially loved the bathroom!) We would definitely recommend and would love to return if we come back to Adelaide.

This is an off-grid, self-sufficient, self contained, Earthship studio apartment in the semi-rural Adelaide Hills, 45min drive from the CBD. Guests will experience a unique stay with a tiny eco-footprint. Close to Adelaide Hills wineries, golf course, bush-walks and other tourist attractions. The Freney family live next door in a passive solar strawbale home - close by if you need advice on sailing the "ship". A place where you can experience the future of sustainable housing!
Guests will need to respect the limitations of the off-grid systems for power, water and sewage and take care with the natural building finishes. The queen size bed is a 100% latex futon mattress, low to the ground so it may be difficult to get in and out of bed if you are elderly. Sheets are luxurious 1200 TC pure cotton. Delicious vegetarian breakfast ingredients, including free range eggs and honey from the property, supplied (but not prepared/served). Kitchen includes double gas burner, under bench fridge (with tiny freezer compartment), microwave and wood oven which is great for making pizzas (although not recommended for use during summer months). Fire wood is supplied from May to October.
The neighbourhood is semi-rural with lots of small "farms" where people raise chooks and grow fruit, veg, and flowers. You are likely to see and hear native animals such as kangaroos and koalas. Local attractions include wineries, golf courses, restaurants and bush walking trails.
  • What a wonderful space to recharge in. It’s intimate, unique, moody, really well-appointed, private, interesting, comfortable and has a really well documented history of how it came to be and the ethos behind it. This place is not your average Air BnB..... it’s beyond that.

    Bronwyn2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great, relaxing space! Private!

    Rebecca2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at the Earthship. It was great to see how it was constructed and experience a more sustainable living. View was amazing, bed super comfy and the greenhouse a living dream. Would love to stay again.

    Louise2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The earthship was incredible, from the first sight of it the attention to detail was amazing. But walking in doors on a 37 degree day the green house was thriving and the living area was a cool 21 degree. The earthy floors allowed us to feel grounded immediately and relaxed. The food provided was organic produce of the best quality, the bed is of the highest standard to allow a truly enjoyable stay. Great bathroom facilities, the water gets both very hot and cold which is perfect for practicing Naturopathic Hydrotherapy techniques. It was a relaxing property with plenty of wild blackberries to pick. On the second day it was 43 degrees outside but still 21 degrees in the living area. The earthship has an incredible design and we will be going back in winter to see how it functions in the cooler months, The 2 nights was not enough, we returned home to a hot bungalow and wished we were in the cool earthship. Thank you!! We Highly Recommend!

  • This place is a must to stay. Simply AMAZING. Loved everything about it. Loved the wild life that visited including the koala that would visit every day. The views all around are just beautiful. Stayed in Summer would also love to visit in Winter too.

    Sandra2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a truly unique opportunity to stay in an Earthship and experience how calming and peaceful it is. Learning the principles through reading the information available enabled us to learn and gain an understanding of how clever this system really is. The outlook is gorgeous and the ambience within the building made from recycled and natural materials makes you feel calm and recharged. I loved the rendered walls with their niches and soft corners, the patterns and light coming in through the bottle walls as well as the beautiful coloured glass terrazzo floor in the entrance and the bathroom. We will be sure to spread the word about our experience and are looking forward to bringing some of the principles in to our everyday life. We are grateful for this opportunity and admire the work you are doing to enable ourselves and others gain a deeper understanding of sustainable living techniques through the workshops you run and being able to stay in the Earthship.

    Nici2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic experience staying in this awesome earthship. So different from any accommodation out there and Zoe and Martin have made the place so comfortable and welcoming. I felt relaxed and grounded the whole time and really enjoyed the healthy food provided for breakfast. I highly recommend you go.

  • The Earthship is an absolute dream! Honestly the best Airbnb we have been to, it absolutely exceeded expectations which we didn’t think was possible after ready the reviews and descriptions but it was honestly perfect and wouldn’t change a thing ! I miss the place already, was beyond what I could’ve wanted or hoped for! Thank you for everything, every little touch was perfect. For those unsure, please do yourselves a favour and stay here. You won’t regret it and you’ll be amazed at this unique building !

The Retreat is your cosy, tasteful gateway to the CBD of Adelaide, under 10km's, with the Adelaide Hills playground at your fingertips. We have added 3 vacant days between guests stays, and disinfection of frequently touched surfaces after our thorough cleaning. Set on two acres, enjoy your privacy of the Retreat, with kitchenette, wifi, TV, DVD, and quirky steps leading up to the bathroom. Your own decking hosts a BBQ and outdoor setting leading to the quaint stone bedroom.
This cute Gatehouse, recently renovated, provides you with everything needed for a weekend, or weeks away! The decking provides outdoor table and chairs with a BBQ, and leads you to the open plan lounge, dining, bathroom, and kitchenette on the south end, and the quaint stone double bedroom on the north end, all seamlessly flowing together. The delightful property is positioned on the seasonal Third Creek which flows on average from late June to November. Projects to develop indigenous bio-diversity along the waterway and the hill slopes forming part of the Mt. Lofty Ranges is underway, encouraging seasonal birds, frogs, and the local Koalas. Split air conditioning for heating and cooling is at your fingertips, unlimited Wifi, flatscreen TV, and brochures on local highlights, including books from a collection of fiction, biographies and travel guides are here for your enjoyment. The kitchenette houses a kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, warming oven, microwave, electric fry pan, and the standard implements. Due to COVID-19 precautions, we have removed pantry essentials, food and drinks. For your convenience there is an iron and ironing board and a clothes horse. Our house manager prepares the house specifically for each individual stay with fresh towels for each guest and fresh sheets on the beds ensuring the highest level of cleanliness prior to your arrival. Unfortunately in some instances we have had to replace stained linen and towels (oil, coffee, red wine...) which Guests responsible will be billed for at current market price. South Australia has a wonderful mediterranean climate, renowned internationally for wine and food. May we remind you, for your comfort, to pack for all weather conditions!
The Gatehouse is nestled amongst the famed Adelaide Foothills on a main road which leads directly to the Adelaide CBD under 10km's away. Fifteen minutes further west by car will take you to the coastal towns of Henley Beach, Glenelg and Brighton, just to name a few. From the Gatehouse heading east up the hill into the Mt. Lofty Ranges offers spectacular views over the city, many wineries, charming pubs and townships waiting to be explored. This villa truly is a scenic residence at the centre of it all.
  • Sandy,s space was just like advertised if not better. The location is perfect with the hills and their natural beauty on your doorstep. The property was clean, comfortable with my own private space accomidating for all my needs. I would not hesitate recommending it to anyone.

    Dan2020-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Foothills Retreat is an amazing place to stay. We loved the thoughtful and practical touches such as the bottle of milk and bottle of juice in the fridge, and the different towels in the bathroom. One surprising note was how sparkling tidy the place was! There is clearly a lot of love and care put into maintaining both the tiny house and the surrounding grounds. Thanks for giving us a lovely place to stay in Adelaide.

A raw Australian experience overlooking the lush vines of the McLaren Vale wine region. Set on a secluded hill top, you can light a fire in the pit there, watch the kangaroos hop and the sun set over the vale whilst sipping on a local wine. With an Aussie "drop dunny" toilet and kangaroos at you door step we offer an opportunity to get back to nature in a stunning camping spot whilst resting in a comfortable and cosy bell tent.
Tent on a Hill 1 is set on a 10 acre bush and farming block. Guests enter via a 500m long driveway from Bell Road up to Tent on a Hill 1, where there is room to park a car. The bell tent contains a queen bed and houses two guests comfortably. However, we welcome up to four guests if you are happy to sleep the additional people on a thin mattress on the floor. There is no running water but we leave some drinking water in the tent, cutlery, glasses and plates for two, a wine bottle opener, insect repellent spray, and a washbowl and jug (full with water) with two hand towels and soap. The outside bathroom consists of a non flushing dry drop toilet with a hand washing basin (with water jug), camp shower (approx 20L per person) and a mirror. Tent on a Hill 2 is approximately 250m away and out of view. Guests are welcome to book both tents (independently) and can access Tent 2 via a lit walking path on the occasion of large group bookings. Otherwise, the two tents are completely private and do not share ammenities.
McLaren Vale produces some of the worlds most magnificent wines and is located near some clean white beaches. Drop by some wineries for a tasting or lunch and then drive 15 minutes to bathe at pristine beaches such as Maslin Beach, Port Willunga, Aldinga or Sellicks Beach.

What a Find! Part of The Shanty Co, set in a private coastal garden this well appointed, cleverly decorated space will define the ethos of your stay. For the next 1000+ words please refer to the photos!
AirBnB's prompt to answer this question was:"what makes your place unique? " My answer: Is it the free standing bath you gaze at from your bed? Or just the extra comfy King size bed? Or the awesome open fireplace? Why don't you stay and find out what you think makes it unique!
    It's central yet peaceful location
  • Great place, great location and great host. Such a fantastic space to relax in for a few days and the thoughtful touches like the bath, the outside deck etc. really make it extra special.

The amenities have all been well catered for and a plus is the lovely outside garden area which is ideal for late afternoon drinks or on a fine night take away or self catering. As it's close to all restaurants, leave the car and stroll out to dinner and have a totally relaxed evening. Christos's place ticks all the boxes.

  • Paula was an amazing host and we couldn’t recommend her stay enough. The location and view was absolutely beautiful! We had the privilege of meeting Ross as he brought fire wood over for us for the outside fire pit and he was very informative and accommodating.

    Joshua2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a hidden little gem Paula's Place is. Our family and I had the most incredible time, it was a struggle to leave!! Our boys aged 8 & 5 pleaded to stay and our youngest son has asked if he can celebrate his next birthday there like his big brother got to. It speaks in volumes when your 5 year old chooses Paula's place over a birthday party!! 😆 There's PLENTY for the kids to do!! This is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Its a gorgeous setting, very tranquil with beautiful water front views. The house is cosy yet perfectly spacious enough for a family of 4. Very slylish with a great vibe!! You can happliy 'waste' the day away sitting outside overlooking the water, but there are plenty of fun things to do if you're a bit more adventurous and enjoy Kayaking, swimming, fishing, bike riding etc. The chooks were a big hit, especially with our boys. Plenty of room to play cricket on the lawn and let their imaginations run free. They also enjoyed riding their bikes along the long private dirt driveway. We could not fault Paula's communication. From the get go she was quick to respond and so friendly and accomodating (as were her folks Evie & Ross who live a couple of houses down). They even left us Easter treats and my son a lovely birthday card & gift - so incredibly generous & thoughtful. They really do go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and your stay enjoyable, but never did we feel like they were imposing on us or our privacy. To be honest, much of the time it felt like we were the only people on the planet. We highly recommend a stay at Paula's place - you're in for a treat!

Snuggle up in our converted shipping container made for two. You’ll love spending time here watching the local kangaroo mob while enjoying a glass of wine on the deck, sitting by the fire pit in winter, waking up to the birds singing in the surrounding garden. Stunning vineyard views, friendly farm animals, an abundance of wildlife. Sink into the luxurious beanbag sofa, read a book or do some birdwatching. Enjoy board games. Switch off. Stargaze under the most amazing sky on a clear night.
Our beautiful space has been expertly converted to create a fresh, modern and comfortable space to hideaway, escape from the world. Sink into our luxurious beanbag corner sofa and read a book, or do some wildlife watching. Lounge on the large deck or go for a walk down the lane koala-spotting. Spectacular views from the large picture window and deck overlooking vineyards all the way to the southern hills with our own regular mob of kangaroos. Sunrises and sunsets are stunning here. Fresh eggs and breakfast items supplied for the first morning of your stay along with some delicious freshly roasted coffee. Incredible rain shower. Air conditioning and heating for year round comfort. This is a bird lovers paradise with lots of bushy garden attracting many small birds and occasionally a wedge tail eagle or two circling above. Some of Australia’s finest coffee is roasted just next door, with tastings available every Sunday in a relaxed and friendly setting. If you stay on a Saturday night please be aware that Dawn Patrol Coffee opens early Sunday morning. We welcome you to enjoy a tasting and delicious morning brew. This means that while a stay at Container65 is extremely peaceful, Sunday mornings can be busy and bustling with activity just next door. If you have Instagram you can follow us and our cheeky animals @container65
We are only a short drive from Mclaren Vale’s incredible wineries and restaurants, one beautiful cellar door is within walking distance. We regularly enjoy many stunning walks through Kuitpo Forest and Onkaparinga River National Park, both close by.
  • Wonderful place to stay. Far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet, but close enough for convenience. Saffy and Dom have a cute little family, and having their sheep, dog and alpaca around was warming. Plenty of wildlife to be seen amongst the vineyards. Close proximity to lots of iconic and esteemed wineries and restaurants, with plenty of nature walks in the Kuitpo Forest. We were lucky enough to be there when Dom was roasting his coffee (@Dawn Patrol, only open on Sunday mornings,) and we were able to smell the marshmellowy process. Saffy was readily available if need be, and provided a handy booklet with things to do and places to go. At first me and my partner were iffy about the eco-toilet, but we quickly got over it and enjoyed feeling like we were helping the environment. Only stayed 2 nights, but wish we could've stayed longer. Highly recommend! Also, try or buy some of their complex coffee - we love going there every so often on a Sunday and i routinely recommend their beans to coffee connoisseurs. Container itself isn't huge, but feels spacious, and the deck provides a nice space to sit for a cuppa or a glass of wine. Must also say - is the most comfortable bed we've slept in anywhere that isn't home.

  • Lovely location and very unique as expected! Had a wonderful stay during our 2 days there :) Being able to drink the locally-made coffee was a huge plus!

  • We had a lovely weekend away at Saffy’s place. A unique experience staying in a shipping container in a beautiful location to switch off for the weekend!

    Thomas2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is THE perfect little get away in a beautiful location overlooking a vineyard. So so much to do in the area and a nice spot for a wine on the deck to end the day. Saffy was an excellent host bringing fresh home made bread and eggs on arrival and introducing us to her pets - Alf (alpaca) and milo (dog). This place had everything you need to kick back and relax. Overall a wonderful time spent, definitely recommend! 😊

    Nicole2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay at Saffy’s place - a very comfortable and relaxing weekend! Lovely touches like fresh baked bread on arrival, and a wonderful view. Highly recommend!

    Chelsea2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely lovely stay, the house was in a great location, Saffy was very responsive and the house was exactly as described.

    Paige2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay over the new year. Saffy and her family were very friendly and accomodating. The views blew us away.

    Hollie2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely little stay, the place was very cute and homely. The hosts were easy to communicate with and brought over a welcome basket of fresh eggs, milk, coffee and home made bread. The place was air conditioned but we unfortunately stayed over a 40+ degree weekend but the place cooled down when the sun set and it was lovely. Was fun to have some animal visitors, a chicken came over to say hello and an alpaca walked past to have a look and a friendly sheep and dog greeted us. The place is very eco friendly which was nice, including a waterless composting toilet which I avoided, although I totally agree with the concept . Would stay again

Our stunning open apartment/studio has been described as a treehouse or "outside inside house". It is made of recycled Australian hardwood, extensive wall to ceiling windows, and all modern furniture and utilities and beautiful garden.
This studio/apartment is a 'slice of heaven' and one half of a split level house with its' own separate entrance and patio. It is a Glenn Murcutt inspired wool shed jarrah pole framed house perched over Cox's Creek. It is made from hardwood, glass and corrugated iron. It has been described as an outside inside house as you are never sure where the house begins. It is at one with nature. It has its own entrance with beautiful elevated views of surrounding gardens, creek and lily pond. It is an 'escape for all seasons' in the very heart of Stirling. The creek that flows underneath can be heard gurgling below for 8-10 months of the year along with the frogs
Stirling is a beautiful leafy village close to Adelaide. It was originally the "Hills" retreat for the early English aristocracy and is one of the few places in the world where you are in a pristine micro- climate surrounded by nature (no fences) and only 20 minutes to the centre of the city. The village of Stirling has a wide cuisine range of well priced restaurants sourcing produce from nearby farms. You can also have the joy of supping on organic coffee or chilli hot chocolates at one of the many cafes that infuse the village. It is a visitors joy and one of Adelaide's best kept secrets that has been let out of the bag. Many people from' The Plains'come up to Stirling to enjoy The Organic Market, buy fresh produce and shop in some unique homeware/clothing and furniture shops or visit many of the splendid wineries. Every month Stirling houses an award winning local market. It has around 80 stalls, which make, bake, grow or value add to the products sold. If you enjoy being outside, the Adelaide Hills abounds with some of the best bike riding paths, walking trails and artists inspired landscapes . Hans Heysen's home "The Cedars" is a 10 minute drive. The Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens only a hop, skip and jump away. The Hills houses many boutique shopping and gallery experiences. We are within walking distance of the Coventry Library, Stirling pub, restaurants and shops.
  • This is a place that you truely need to see and stay, words cannot describe or photos this is a serene tranquil amazingly beautiful home away from home. Do yourself a favour and book this lovely fully decked out homette. Stirling has so much to offer cafes, eatery’s, walks and birds/wildlife. You won’t regret it! Thankyou Andrienne and Alister it’s a credit to you both, we hope to be back soon 👍🌺 The Spears Sisters

  • My wife and I spent 3 nights here straight after our wedding and it was PERFECT. You cannot see any kind of civilisation from any window so you feel like you are nestled in amongst a private forest paradise. Each night we fell asleep to the sounds of frogs croaking in the pond down below and each morning we woke up to an incredible view. We are 100% coming back here!

Nestled in Goolwa's "Little Scotland", the cottage is just a short walk to restaurants, hotels and the wharf, or use it as a base to discover the magic of the Fleurieu. Nectarine Cottage invites you to leave the stress of daily life behind, & unwind. Sink into the couch with a good book by the fire or soak in the tub. The kitchen, dining and lounge all open onto a private leafy courtyard.
The cottage accommodates up to 5 people, and the adjacent studio can accommodate a further 2 guests.
  • Claire’s place is sooo lovely! It was the perfect little spot for a getaway and my fiancé and I had such a relaxing time. From yoga on the back deck to sipping wine in the spa bath, the place just has good vibes! There is so much beautiful natural sunlight and every aspect of the cottage is so practical. I kept saying that I would happily live there. The location is just perfect, we were able to walk to the water’s edge, to nearby cafes for takeaway coffees and to the supermarket. The bed was comfy, the shower was huge, the kitchen was well equipped and we adored spending time in the spa bath. The care package upon entry was an incredibly thoughtful touch and Claire called me immediately when I messaged to say that I couldn’t find it! My fiancé and I keep dreaming of being back there and will visit again as soon as we can! Thank you Claire for having us.

    Laura2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • A delightful cottage with lots of thoughtful touches, in a perfect location. We really enjoyed our 3 nights and Claire's tips on where to eat breakfast were spot on.

  • Best place we have ever stayed at! The pictures don’t do the place justice. Everything was perfect(especially the spa bath! SO BIG) we didn’t need to go anywhere else, just stayed in all weekend :) However everywhere is just a 5-10 min walk! Claire is great with any questions and so kind! Thank you for sharing your little slice of paradise with us. Can’t wait to come back :)

  • Nectarine Cottage is beautiful and relaxing. A cosy, welcoming stay with a super comfortable bed, amazing bathroom and big bath, great amenities and special touches. The hamper available for an additional price is definitely worth it. The mezzanine bedroom allows lots of beautiful natural morning light, recommend to bring a sleeping mask if you're sensitive to light and want a long sleep-in :)

  • We couldn’t have had a better holiday in the gorgeous Nectarine Cottage. We loved everything about this special little cottage. The location is in walking distance to Goolwa shops and cafes, and an easy 10 minute drive to the family friendly and stunning Horseshoe Bay beach where we spent much of our time. Claire is a fantastic host, always ready to answer questions about the local area, providing gorgeous treats and thoughtful touches like organic Shampoo, Conditioner and body soap, umbrellas, picnic basket and popcorn for movie nights. We so appreciated these thoughtful and generous touches. Claire has put much care into the decor at the cottage, from plush cushions to beautiful artwork and crockery, you can tell she cares about her guests. We will definitely be back. Thank you Claire. A beautifully handcrafted home, made from locally sourced sandstone and reclaimed wood. This house sits amongst 16 acres of private she-oak forest which overlooks beautiful Pelican Lagoon. Large, open plan, split level home which spills out onto spacious terraces and private balcony’s all with superb views over the lagoon. The rooms are minimally furnished, with beautifully crafted handmade reclaimed wood furniture offset with bright ethnic fabrics and rugs sourced from around the world.
The rough dirt track that provides access to the house creates a sense of remoteness.
The house is surrounded by native bush.
  • This was an incredibly beautiful home in the perfect quiet location for exploring stunning KI. Ideally tucked away and very private, the views were amazing and all amenities were excellent for our stay. Located at American River, this central spot is perfect spot for visiting the key local businesses, such as the emu and eucalypts oil fields, honey farm, Dudley and Island Estate Wineries, KI Brewery and enjoying delicious fine dinning at Sunset Restaurant. The host was very accomodating and helpful prior, during and after our visit. Our trip was planned before the COVID-19 outbreak but KI was very safe so we chose to still visit to support local businesses recovering from the horrific bushfires. Having a few days away from the madness was just what we needed to relax and recharge. Highly recommend this beautiful home and holidaying at KI.

  • You will not be disappointed with this accommodation. We really looked forward to coming back to such a beautiful location after a day of exploring the island. The fire made the place so tasty warm on the cooler nights and there were amazing views from every window. The whole house was spotlessly cleaned and we haven’t stopped recommending it to family and friends. We can’t wait to head back to kangaroo island and stay here again. The bedrooms are huge with magnificent views and the bathroom was huge too. We also had visits from the local wildlife most nights with kangaroos in the surrounding bush. Book it now and you won’t be disappointed, can’t recommend it enough.

  • We had a great stay at Aara’s place. The views from pretty much every room in the house are amazing and its a really peaceful and comfortable place to relax after a day out exploring. The stars at night are also really stunning. Location is really convenient as a base to explore KI and Aara gave us plenty of tips for our stay. ‘of Stone and Wood’ is a really special place and hope we get to stay again one day.

    Julia2020-02-23T00:00:00Z

  • Madeleine has thought of everything in this gorgeous stylish apartment. We've stayed in many 5 star Airbnb's and this was by far the best. A beautiful setting looking out to bushland while the city and beach are only a short drive away. The small touches make all the difference, from beautiful bedding (and a super comfy bed), quality towels, a well equipped kitchen and essentials provided on arrival including a delicious loaf of sourdough. Communication was excellent and Madeleine was there to greet us on arrival. I highly recommend Madeleine's apartment, we will definitely return!

    Claire2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • The listing doesn’t do this place justice. It is simply stunning, inside and out. Madeleine was beyond helpful and hit the perfect mark between being wonderfully hospitable and respectful of privacy.

    Zack2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, comfortable home away from home for our two-night ‘staycation’. Everything we needed, and much more, was thoughtfully provided for us by Madeleine. We spent time exploring the area - a walk along Brighton Beach, and a visit to the exemplary, award-winning Pasadena Foodland for shelf browsing and delicious lunch - beautiful music provided by harpist - a day out in itself. Back at our accommodation watching the rosella’s, red-brown finches, and lorikeets feeding just outside the lounge window was a relaxing treat.

    Beau2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • WOW! This place was beyond amazing. The place is super comfortable and has everything you could possibly need and more provided. The bed was super comfy and linen etc was all quality. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. The host, Madeleine, was lovely, super helpful giving suggestions on where to go for breakfast and good vineyards etc. She had organised for the essentials like milk to be available so we didn’t have to hunt down a supermarket and had little treats waiting for us. We were so happy that we had picked Madeleine’s place for our stay in Adelaide.

    Jessie2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent. Best Airbnb that we have stayed in. Madeleine was an excellent hostess.

Papershell Lodge is located at our property in historic Willunga. The Lodge looks out toward world class beaches and the McLaren Vale wine region, both only 5 minutes drive away. Papershell is a 9 acre almond orchard in conversion to a bio-diverse food forest and we encourage you to pick your own fruit & veg and say hello to our animals. The Lodge is a beautiful cedar-clad self-contained studio, built onto our homestead. It features a yoga studio downstairs, with the accommodation upstairs.
Wake up nestled in the tree tops to the sound of birds and enjoy breakfast on the balcony with views over the canopy of the orchard right through to Pt Willunga. In late July / early August the almond orchard is in full blossom and looks spectacular! We love to treat our guests with fresh produce from the garden, fresh eggs, our almonds, house-made muesli, baked treats and jams/relishes/pickles - whatever the season brings! The Sun Room on the ground floor offers an extensive collection of things to encourage you to switch off, disconnect and return balance to your life. Try our oils, yoga, reading from our library or playing chess and cards. Head down to The Green House and grab a plant to take home with you. We encourage all guests to plant a seedling or a hand full of seeds! Stroll around the property on any of our walking paths and take in the serenity. Sit in the swing and look up into the canopy of the Claret Ash.
Willunga is a small, regional town within the Mclaren Vale wine region. The town itself is full with character and has lots of cute art and craft shops to potter in, and great little cafes and produce stores. Every Saturday there is a wonderful farmers Market in the centre of the town. It is only a five minute drive from the spectacular mid-coast beaches, and surrounded by loads of nearby wineries.
  • Jessica's place was spotlessly clean on arrival and you are welcomed with delicious farm produce (including fresh bread still warm from the oven!). Great views and all the amenities you need for a little getaway from the city. Will be recommending to others!

  • The photos don’t even do it justice!! Jess’ place is absolutely stunning. I wish we were there for more than one night ;( cannot wait to come back.

    Leigh2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica's place is absolutely beautiful, great use space, very modern and incredible views from the balcony. The grounds are stunning, I absolutely loved exploring the orchard and vegetable garden. Jessica was a very accommodating host, clearly a lot of thought goes into the special touches. The home made bread and organic produce was delicious. Would definitely recommend for a short trip away.

    Carrie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place! Jessica was a great host :)

    Georgia2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Would highly recommend this as a whole experience. We were able to wander the farm and pick and eat fresh almonds and figs. A hot loaf of freshly baked bread was waiting on our arrival too! Beautiful place with a gorgeous view.

    Cia2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • You can expect a stunning view and comfortable retreat at Jessica's place. A real sense of escape from the world even though amidst the activity of a working farm. Can't wait to experience the Winter there - we have booked again!

    Amber2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place- the location will make you not want to leave. Great location, silence, in nature but easy to move around. The hosts are great, helpful and engaged. We will definitely return and recommend.

D'Estrees Bay Kangaroo Island South Australia Located on the southern side of Kangaroo Island. D'Estrees Bay is an unspoilt natural paradise. Natural bushland meets long stretches of beach with firm sand, ideal for a leisurely stroll. The beaches are perfect for swimming, diving and surfing. D'Estrees Bay is renowned for a former whaling station, the elusive paper Nautilus shell, and ship wrecks (rumour has it that gold treasure is somewhere in the bay). Birdwatchers will not be disappointed as the Western Whipbird is a local and Murray's Lagoon is a nearby bird Mecca. The start of Cape Gantheaume coastal trek is at D'Estrees Bay leading into Cape Gantheaume Wilderness
  • 10/10! What a special place in this world. Thick bushland to the back of the property and a beautiful coast to the front - it was just magnificent. The sense of freedom and adventure our three year old had, exploring the pathways to the beach, collecting wood, exploring the beach was very special. We were so lucky to have a wallaby visit each morning and night too, she added to the experience! Beds were super comfy and the combustion heater also added to our stay. We just loved Bens house so much, designed to take in the full view of the coast - I’ve never enjoyed cooking or even cleaning a kitchen more! We chose to eat in each night as we couldn’t imagine a better place to be. Thanks again Ben!

    Katrina2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay in this beautiful beach house. A nice view, wildlife in the backyard and place enough for the kids to play.

    Jouke2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing house! If you like “off the beaten track”- that’s your place. We loved the peacefulness and the views directly from the deck! The house has all the comforts. The only thing that I personally missed was the paved/sealed road— but I guess this is typical for KI. Would stay at the Blue Seas again when on KI!

    Nora2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Ben is the perfect host. Thank you Ben!

    Bjørn2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • BlueSeas is a beautiful house located in a beautiful part of Kangaroo Island, great for a quiet get away and as a base for exploring the Island. Ben is a good host, friendly and helpful. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

    Ken2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • this is such a beautiful and great place; everything is in balance with its surrounding area. We loved to wake up and go to sleep with the sound of the ocean and walk down the (private) beach . We are grateful to have been able to stay in this house. It is a little paradise!

    Jacqueline2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had such an wonderful experience at BlueSeas. The house itself was stunning, immaculately clean, and the location - AMAZING!!! Such a secluded and beautiful spot. Loved the eco friendly house and we felt immediately relaxed as soon as we arrived. It was very comfortable and stylish. Only wished we could have stayed longer!

    Melanie2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Ben's place is beautify. The house is fantastic and the private beach was incredible. The place is clean and well taken care of. Ben was a fantastic host. Anyone looking at booking this property needs to be aware that it is very remote. It is in excess of 25 K from any surfaced roads and approximately 35 K from any services such as restaurants or grocery stores. The last kilometer or so into the house is very rough and rocky. If you are looking for a place to get away and want privacy this property is better than anything else on the island that I saw in the two days we were there. If you are looking for a place to base from and plan on making shorter trips and return to the house multiple times during the day, you need to consider the property's remoteness.

Very close to amenities and lovely small townships of the Adelaide Hills. Lots of great wineries to visit and beautiful countryside yet very close to the city.
  • Just a stunning farmstay. Beautifully styled, and providing glimpses into the 'good life' away from the hustle and bustle of city life - without all of the hassles! Our two small children loved the resident cows, chickens, trampoline and vegetable garden, whereas we feel in love with the scenery and the beautiful homestead. Scott was a fantastic host, ever accommodating to our needs. The property was also well located, very close to Bridgewater, Handorf and neighbouring wineries. Highly recommended.

  • This house as been put together with such attention to detail, no piece of furniture is out of place. Scott has thought of absolutely everything you might need. The beautiful open plan home let's in light from every direction. The friendly chickens were a unexpected touch that made the stay all the more enjoyable.

  • Hands down the best AirB&B experience we’ve had as a family. A beautifully restored bungalow in a setting to die for. The kids loved the space, Chickens and Cows and were especially excited to collect the fresh eggs each day. The space is a credit to Scott & Hannah, who have set it up perfectly, making use for the properties tranquil facing and surrounds and spotlessly clean!! I couldn’t recommend more highly if you are looking for a country getaway but still close to all the conveniences that suburbia has to offer. We will be back 😊👌

We walked in the bushland, read books, enjoyed the birds and took in the day and night view of the hills and Adelaide plains. The simple and elegant furnishing, ceramics, art and wood fire all contributed to a memorable stay. Upi was attentive and anticipated all our needs. The home is full of thoughtful touches. This place is a gem.

  • We absolutely loved our stay. Even though our time was brief, we felt recharged and grateful to have had such a peaceful and unique experience. The views through the living room window are like a mesmerising, evolving painting. We enjoyed a delightful yoga and meditation session in front of the fire, and explored a lovely nature trail, and met some cheeky koalas along the way. We were also thankful for the bushfire information that was provided to help make us feel prepared and at ease during an extreme weather day. Close to the city. Surrounded by nature. "The mud cabin is the star attraction and the suite a balancing comfort, all in the midst of beautiful nature! An opportunity for the uninitiated to experience sustainable and eco-conscious living, and yet still within reach of modern amenities when you need anything. Love it!" August 2019 Review
Free box of wood with paper, kindling and firelighters (May to November) Luggage drop off allowed for early arrivals or late departures Complimentary breakfast for the first morning of your stay Limited access to Wi-Fi. Please note our Wi-Fi signal does not reach Bimbimie Hideway. However, you are welcome to access it in our courtyard. Please ask. We invite you to share our 13 acres of Australian bush paradise. Wake up to bird song or relax on your private deck to enjoy a coffee. At times you may be fortunate to see the semi-resident koalas and kangaroos especially if you take our Scrubby Gully walk. 'Bimbimbie Hideaway' consists of two distinct two buildings, the Studio and the Mudbrick Cabin which are located adjacent to each other. Access between the two buildings is provided by 5 steps from the Mudbrick Cabin deck to the private patio of the Studio. The Studio completed in 2014 has all mod cons. It contains a comfortable queen-size bed, a modern en-suite, tea/coffee making facilities, small bar fridge, air conditioning, and TV. Please let us know if you require more fridge space. We can provide extra fridge space with a portable camping fridge and/or a large fridge located in the carport. The Mud Brick Cabin was built by the present owners in the 1980’s who used local and recycled materials. This area is off-grid and as such is only powered by a solar panel which runs three lights. There is no capacity to plug in electrical equipment in this area. This area is warmed in winter by a pot belly stove. The spacious kitchen area in the Mudbrick Cabin is well equipped with a gas cook top and extensive cooking equipment. However, the fridge is located in the Studio behind the first sliding door. Please ask us, if you require more fridge space, as we can provide additional cooling options. A BBQ on the deck complements the cooking facilities. Bimbimbie provides an unique experience for people to relax and unwind and wanting a short break from their busy lives. Perfect for couples seeking a unique and relaxing experience.
We believe we have the best of both country and city living. Our neighbourhood is a semi rural suburb of Adelaide. Living in a rural setting we enjoy beautiful vistas, local wild life and peace and quiet. Yet we are close enough to easily access Adelaide, the attractions of the Adelaide Hills and the beautiful beaches and abundant food and wine of the Fleurieu Peninsula
  • Everything went smooth & louse was very helpful. Really relaxing and enjoyable stay. Would recommend as a place to recharge!

  • Absolutely amazing little hidden gem in the Adelaide Hills, we spent our wedding anniversary here and it was exactly what we both needed. We have come home with clear heads and are both totally relaxed,Definitely will be back again next year. It is by far one of the best places we have stayed

  • Louise’s place is really lovely. The studio is close to the farm, you can see sorts of birds. Really enjoyed the nature and the quiet environment there:)

  • A lovely stay that's only a short drive from the city but very quiet and secluded, right on nature's doorstep. The mudbrick house is cool and quirky. Though there's all the amenities needed, with cooking utilities, as well as air conditioning in the bedroom. The nature walk nearby was lovely and we got to see a wild kangaroo. Plenty of birds to see, too. Louise was was helpful and always responsive and quick to reply. Would stay again.

  • Fabulous retreat. Loved sitting in the deck and looking out at the natural environment. So peaceful and deeply relaxing. Lots of special touches and guests well provided for.

  • Stylish and such a serene place to get away to! Will certainly be back!

  • Amazing hospitality, thoughtful touches and excellent communication is what you can expect here. Fresh eggs, tea, coffee and toast right next to the bed, a potbelly stove for keeping warm and so many good books to read. Such a refreshing experience, being close to home but feeling a million miles away. Meeting Tilly the magpie was a definite highlight. We will be back!

This private and comfortable studio space is perfectly set up for those who want to experience the country and seaside at the same time. Situated on 5 acres which is also set up for horses, Moana Views offers the chance for guests to stay whilst exploring the wonders this area has to offer. Or perhaps unwind and taste a sample of our local wines instead; then there's a short drive to Normanville and Carrickallinga Beach or maybe you can ride your own horse down instead, the choice is yours!
Recently renovated and modern, the studio room is well appointed with all things needed to be self contained. Moana Views is located close to local attractions such as The Shrine of Our Lady of Yankalilla, The Historical Museum, Heysen Trails, Ingalla Waterfalls, many local wineries, Second Valley, Cape Jervois - where you can take the Sealink Ferry over to Kangaroo Island and Deep Creek Conservation Park to name a few attractions.; All of which are accessible within a 30 minute drive. The studio room has been designed with comfort and warmth in mind and contains a kitchen, microwave, gas stove top, over head exhaust, tea and coffee provisions, appliances, cooking facilities (if you don't wish to partake of the local eateries in the area), a dining area, a lounge with TV on the wall. Then there's a step up into a spacious bedroom and sitting area, along with a separate walk in robe or wardrobe to choose from, a queen size comfy bed, separate bathroom with toilet and shower area, outdoor sitting area with BBQ facilities and an ironing board and iron. When you walk in, take a look at the magnificent terrazzo flooring that's been laid by my hubby Joe! To me it makes the studio room pop and Im super proud of it! You will find a very inquisitive horse on the property who loves a pat and a carrot! A couple of friendly dogs and a cat who will follow you around (so dont leave your door open- as they will just walk inside) as well as chooks and ducks whom I refer to as “my girls”. Free range fresh eggs are available for you to cook and are in your fridge in the studio room. There are 2 skylights situated on the ceiling in the bedroom which can provide guests with a chance to watch the rain or lighting from the comfort of their own warm bed. Guests have explained that they enjoyed the feeling of being “at one “ with Mother Nature, and have enjoyed the unique experience. NOTE: There is an eye mask available in the top drawer by the bed for people to use, or feel free to bring your own if you are light sensitive (as the skylights provide light into the room preventing guests from waking up in total blackness). Should you wish to bring your own horses (up to 2) I am available to book for guided trail riding tours in the area, including the beach if you’re game to ride through the township of Normanville. Float parking is available and your horses can be paddocked near you. Should you wish to bring your treasured fur baby (dog or cat), there is a private courtyard to accommodate a dog, preferably a smaller to medium sized dog, as large dogs may find the back yard too small and be tempted to run through the garden Im trying to establish. However, if there is a commitment to ensuring you supervise your dog at all times as well as ensure that it is on a leash and not left wondering around the property, a larger dog may be ok providing its the right temperament. Its probably best to ask me first before booking. Also to note is that the property is located on a small stretch of dirt road, and can unfortunately result in dusty wheels on your car. And because our property is a farm, the ground is undulating with steps leading up to the studio room, so its not suitable to people with ambulatory issues. Please note: NBN is not available ( hence there’s no access to the internet thanks to a weak signal in the rural area and whilst I provide complimentary fresh eggs from my free range “girls” for you in the fridge, I don’t provide breakfast provisions for a full breakfast. There is a toaster, cook top and a Baby Weber Q BBQ should you wish to toast/cook your own bacon and toast etc, so you will need to bring your own breakfast provisions or visit one of the lovely cafes in town instead 🐥🥓🍳🥐🥚 We look forward to sharing our beautiful and peaceful space with you here at Moana Views.
Both townships are beautiful and even historic in places, and offers an array of eateries that are decent, but inexpensive places to go.
  • Thanks for a lovely stay, just the relaxing weekend we were after. The milk and fresh eggs were a lovely touch. And a perfect secure place for our dog. Would recommend :)

  • Great little retreat from civilisation while still being closely situated to amenities. Loved the farm stay feeling with the pup Mishka, and the horse Mr Darcy. Anthea was welcoming and gave us tips on exploring the local area. The place was as advertised with great amenities included. Thanks Anthea!! Hope to come back again

  • Communication was so detailed and prompt. The place was so comfortable and we felt very welcomed upon arrival. Highly recommend.

  • This is an exceptional place for a couple to stay or for someone needing a peaceful retreat 🍃 Superb location that really does give you the best of feeling like you're in the country (trees, horses, kangaroos, birds etc) whilst being so close to the best beaches in SA! You can even see the ocean from the kitchen window! Everything here was stylish and immaculate with lovely 'added extras' such as fresh eggs from the chooks and milk in the fridge as well as plenty of kitchen and bathroom supplies. Mr Darcy is a gorgeous horse that could often be seen out in the paddock through the large dining room windows. We felt completely welcome and at ease here and being pet-friendly was very much appreciated. Anthea was a superb and non-intrusive host who made us feel completely welcome and at ease. Can't wait to go back!

A renovated stone farm building surrounded by huge gum trees. The décor is Provincial with wooden floors, a wood burning stove, open plan living, dining and kitchen space. Lovely light filled space with outdoor entertaining area and cottage gardens.
Situated on a gorgeous 40 acre property with a creek running through it, there is plenty of bird life and lots of kangaroos who come to visit.
The Fleurieu Penninsula is a gorgeous stretch of coastline. There are many beautiful little towns with great places to eat, interesting shops and the natural beauty of the beaches. Great surf and the wonder of watching the whales as they come in close to shore during the winter months.
  • Was sparkling clean and so pretty to stay at! Loved waking up to the sun shining through the little blue doors, will definitely come back again

  • If you like to be all by yourself surrounded by beautiful nature and animals this is the place. The two alpacas visited us every morning and every night we saw kangaroos and rabbits. The cottage is gorgeous with old niche interior design with a beautiful outdoor area. It takes you back to how the “shack life” really should be. We will definitely be back :)
