Michael was a great host. rented his place for my parents. He helped them with their suitcases and very responsive to my messages and concerns. My mom is a bit picky but she loved the place and did not even complained. She loved the place and even face timed me to show me the place. If you are in Chicago area I highly recommend this place!!!!

This place is in a quiet, nice, safe area. I walked to the grocery store. Public transportation I'd very close as well as restaurants. The place is exactly like the pictures and description. Andy, Maral, and his nephews are great. I came in a day late and they even called to check on me. They accommodated my d schedule and met me for check in. Andy and George gave me a tour, made sure everything we needed was in the apartment, from water, coffee, soap, and all the necessities needed for a comfortable stay. I only needed to purchase groceries for breakfast and wine. Andy even provided ice cream and cones, I loved it. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, safe, clean place away from the city

Maral’s apartment was absolutely PERFECT. Very comfy, clean and well-equipped. Maral and his wife went over and above to make us feel welcome including a delicious homemade cookie tray. The location was also perfect. It’s just 20 minutes (driving) away from Chicago’s downtown. Maral’s apartment includes parking and it’s just a few feet away from the yellow line train. I would definitely choose this place again I would have to come back to Chicago.

YES. This place is absolutely wonderful to stay at. The house is beautiful and clean. Check in and out was SO easy. Nina did a wonderful job making us feel welcome. Parking was also so easy and accessible. The bus station to the train station is within walking distance, so if you don't want to drive it is easy. I would definitely recommend people to stay here.

Nina was a great host. Her place was super clean, quiet, and close to public transportation. There is plenty parking right in front of the house. I was able to do some laundry and watch movie on the Roku. The Giordano's a couple blocks away served amazing Chicago style pizza.

Great overnight stay here, very nice and safe neighborhood, close to lots of great food places. They had cereal for us for breakfast, and a fun dog named Teddy kept us company. It was a little far to downtown by car if there was a lot of traffic, but if taking public transportation, you could be there in no time! Overall, a very nice airbnb!

The description is accurate. This is really a quiet, safe and nice neighbourhood. Pace 250 can take you from O'Hare international airport to here. Some good restaurants near here, you can find Mexican food and Herm's palace. It's convenience to take Uber to go to NU campus, usually cost $7-$8. Guests can have the whole second floor as a private space. Kim's family lived on the first floor and they are always willing to help. We loved the projector in the living room so much, and you can enjoy a movie in the comfortable sofa when you stay here. This apartment has two large bedrooms with queen bed for each room, and one small bedroom with a single bed. There is a closet in each bedroom.

I stayed at 'The Getaway' over my reunion weekend at Northwestern University. The apartment is conveniently located just 15 minutes driving from the Evanston campus. The apartment is large and well appointed with everything that you could expect. The highlight was the high definition projector with cable TV. Kim was a wonderful host: very attentive to our needs. I highly recommend 'The Getaway!'

It has truly been a pleasure staying at Kim's place. The neighborhood is nice and quiet with easy access to wine and dine as well as groceries. And Kim has been a wonderful landlord who helped us a lot during our stay.

What a lovely 5 days I had in The Getaway. From the projector in the living room to the fully stocked kitchen to Kim greeting us and giving us all kinds of information - everything was just wonderful. I would highly recommend staying here.

A great, clean, organized and cozy house in north Chicago suburbs. Chris was very attentive and helpful right from the start. The neighborhood is great, Skokie is a calmed and beautiful town, up north in Chicago. The suburb is a nice peaceful place to stay, if you don't always want to feel the busy style of a big city. We wanted that and it was a great rest and stay when we got back home, after enjoying downtown. Super safe house and town. Chris has the house really neat and clean all the time. It's a 10 minute walk through Skokie to the train station. From there you take one train to another station, then another train, approximately 35-45 min. downtown. If you don't mind taking that time, before you're in the center of Chicago, then enjoy the ride as we did! The only thing is that when you get back from downtown, after 11:00 p.m., the city doesn't have the second train up to Skokie, so if you go out late you have to take a cab or Uber, but its manageable. Chris was an absolute wonderful host! Our check-in process was smooth (even though we got there much later because of a delayed flight). Chris was on top of making sure we got everything that we needed. Linens were fresh and the bathroom was always clean. They have such a friendly and welcoming house :) We also enjoyed getting to chat with and know the other Air Bnb-ers who were staying in adjacent rooms. Even though it was a full house, it didn't' feel crowded and sharing the bathroom was never an issue. The neighbor was extremely safe and an ideal spot to stay if you are wishing to explore the suburbs of Chicago or catch a ride into the city. It's only a 5 dollar lyft/uber fee to get to the nearest L train stop.

I love the location. Skokie is a cute town. I took a yoga class at North Branch Yoga and liked it. I tried the Latin food at Libertad on Lincoln Ave and loved it. Euro Echo Cafe has green smoothies and gelato. And the parks have a pleasant ambience. Thanks Chris!

Maureen provided a delicious breakfast, fresh coffee and a lot of insight into the area, with ideas of where to go, eat, etc. She even loaned us a cart for helping with our daughter's move. My sister and I decided to go with an airbnb listing over a budget hotel and we are so glad we did. First, the space is immaculate- so much cleaner and more peaceful than other places we have stayed (like budget hotels...how nice not to be concerned about bedbugs or dirty sheets or noisy neighbors!). There is a half bath for guests a few steps away from the guest bedroom (which is even prettier than the pictures on the site show), and a full bath next to that with a (very clean) shower that's shared. Second, Maureen is a great host. We benefited from her knowledge of the area and followed several of her suggestions. She offered help we didn't realize we needed, and basically did everything she could to make sure we got the most out of our two night stay. She made coffee for us both mornings and set out a bunch of teas as well. She also let us use her fridge and freezer to store a few things. Third, this is a great location. There was easy street parking right in front of the house both days we were there. The neighborhood feels safe, the house and yard are lovely, and there are great places to eat and nice little neighborhood markets just minutes from the house. Finally, I must mention that Maureen's little dog is also a selling point- tiny, adorable, well-behaved, and friendly, she had us at "hello." :) Overall a very pleasant and charming place to stay!

For the month, this place was perfect. Jorge and Melanie were both very nice and accommodating to my schedule and did all they could to make my stay comfortable. The location is pretty good as there are a couple of super markets nearby and they have a lot of space at home to store anything you need.

Good neighborhood, about one hour away from the city by public transit and 20 minutes away by car. This was by far the most affordable place I could find and I would definitely stay again for another trip to Chicago.

My girlfriend and I had to visit Chicago for short trip, and we decided to use airbnb. When we arrived at Sofia's house, she and her son greeted us. She showed us a bed room, a bathroom, and so on. She also asked us whether we want to have breakfast or not. My girlfriend had soar throat at night, and I asked Sofia that if I can get hot water. She gave me not only just hot water but also lemons. Me and girlfriend really enjoyed staying at Sofia's house. She was very sweet and kind. If we have any chance to visit Chicago in the future, we would like to stay at her place again. :)

It's amazing for your staying at Chicago. Also if you just want to chill this is a perfect place, she has a tv with cable and two enormous couches. The bathroom is a little small. Isis was great and very responsive. Check-in and Check-out was very smooth. The place is great value for money, and has a spacious living room. The location is convenient for a quick 5 min drive into Evanston downtown.

Isis was BEYOND accommodating, helpful, caring, flexible with check in check out. I had a situation where I had to leave in the middle of the trip, and she was amazingly understanding and refunded me for the rest of my trip!! Truly a five-star experience. I loved the place and felt very comfortable. Ralph was an excellent host, absolutely top notch. If every AirBNB stay was this great I would be much more likely to continually use the platform. He and his wife Julie were very hospitable and kind to me. In many details both large and small, it was a wonderful place to stay. Unique and charming. Kitchen was quite decent. Bed was comfortable. Laundry washer and dryer worked well. If you want to stay in Skokie for a while I think this is a great place to stay.

Jacob's relatives welcomed us into a clean and spacious apartment. We were comfortable, and they helped resolve an issue that we discovered while there. We were sorry we did not have enough time to enjoy the spa or explore the Jewish neighborhood and nearby Illinois Holocaust Museum. We would be happy to go back for another visit.

It was a great experience being there. It is good place ( basement) to live in and finally it has a great location and everything will be near from you

Nice big room with ample beds for everyone and some more. Kitchen and bathroom are adequate size. Location is good not too far but also not too close if you want to visit tourist places. Only drawback is the parking if you are coming late at night you may not get it close to the house. The Rooms are in the basement and entry is bit dingy, so be prepared for that but inside makes up for it. Owner listens to your concerns regarding the temperature control and also late check in like we did so its definitely a plus point and I would recommend to people traveling with a big family.

The sleeping arrangements were just right for the 7 of us. It was nice to have a space for the kids at the end of a busy day and to be able to cook our meals. We also found a park nearby for the kids to left off some steam.

My friends and I had a great stay at Jacob's, the neighborhood was nice and easy to find. Also it was only a few miles away from the train station, which was very convenient. The space was large and clean, overall we had a great experience.

The room is larger than the photo. Very comfortable and neat. We did not have time to wander around the neighbourhood but it is pretty quiet and safe. Although I didn't meet Jacob in person, he is very nice that he helped us with a lot of problems regarding transportation.

I stayed with Stephen for a week as my first airBnB. As I was not sure what to expect, Steve exceeded all my expectations with such kindness and hospitality. His home is very quiet (considering it is just him there) and well kept. The room is very spacious with nice places to work, lounge, and a full closet. I had very early mornings to work, and each morning Steve was kind enough to have coffee prepared around 6:15am. The home is in a quiet Evanston neighborhood near Main Street, with some stores and food only 2 blocks away. If you are ever in need of a place near the Chicago area, Steve's home is wonderful. I will be sure to return!

Well renovated basement, which is bright and nicely furnished and appointed. Hardwood floors, granite countertops, nice appliances. comfortable and clean. Private side entrance, on a quiet street, minutes from my conference in Skokie, and close to Evanston. I was busy, and worn out every night, so I did not meet Corinna, but communication was good. Comfy bed. Lots of light and mirrors, and it does NOT have a basement smell. spacious. I could definitely stay here with my husband.

Corina made sure that we had all the information we needed to have access to the basement suit. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, it was exactly as shown in the pictures. We loved the space, the shower, the bed was wonderful. It was clean and comfortable. Parking on the street made for easy parking. We loved the space and enjoyed our stay.

Me and my girlfriend needed a place to stay for the Christmas week. Corina's place was absolutely wonderful! We've had a separate entrance to the apartment because we like our privacy but we still felt like if we needed anything, Corina was honestly and sincerely willing to help us out with anything. Apartment itself was very clean and spaceius with all the basic needs. We had no problem with parking as we parked right outside the apartment. Corina's apartment is located close to big shopping mall and bunch of restaurants. In short, we had a great time staying at Corina's place and we would highly recommend the apartment to anyone looking for a very nice place to stay.

It is such a remarkable experience and memory staying for a week with Nancy, Jeff, Archie and Puck the dogs. Their home is really lovely, clean and cozy with a yard which must be very beautiful in the Summer time when flowers are in blossom. Both Nancy and Jeff are very friendly and respectful, providing with thoughtful and wise instructions as well as enough privacy. It really touched me and made me feel very at home that they began to worried whether I was caught in the rain and send me messages to check when I was actually sleeping soundly in my room and they thought that I might be still out and caught in the rain. They are just like families. Oh, Archie the dog, is so well-mannered and I really enjoyed spending leisure time with him and Puck, Archie's uncle who is so cute. I would highly recommend you stay with them for some days when you travel around Chicago or Evanston. You will feel their most sincere welcome, and it will definitely be an amazing memory for you to recall.

Both my daughter and I appreciated the stay in the lovely house. Nancy and Jeff were very friendly; they provided us useful information about where to visit. We felt so comfortable lodging here: nice host, wonderful garden, nice beds, clean private bathroom, and good neighborhood; in addition, their two cute dogs were so welcoming us. We very much enjoyed staying in Jeff and Nancy's home, and getting to know them a little bit. The room was extremely pleasant, with two seating/reading areas, a comfy bed and a desk. The bathroom was very nice too - it had everything we could ask for. We liked their dogs who were large and friendly, but not aggressive in any way. It was exactly what we were looking for; easy, comfortable, friendly.

Nancy and Jeff were welcoming from the word go. Incredibly inviting as well as their very well behaved dog Archie, and offered me great knowledge about the area and what it has to offer. Sadly I was not able to make it to the Farmers Market, but it shall have to wait until next time.

Nancy and Jeff made me feel very welcome in their beautiful home. The bedroom is spacious and comfortable, with a pretty and private bathroom next to it. Their dog is a sweetheart! The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, with easy access to downtown Evanston and Old Orchard mall.

I stayed at Nancy's house when I attended a conference at Northwestern. This is such a beautiful and lovely home! Nancy and Jeff are wonderful hosts, and I really enjoyed my stay. Their two dogs are adorable too.

So glad to make a return trip to Nancy's lovely home. Needed to stay so I could see my son perform in an opera at Northwestern then drive him home for winter break. Nancy, a long-time opera lover, came to watch "Gianni Schicchi" with me. Fun to have company in the audience, and I got a guided tour on the way back of Evanston homes decorated for the holidays! Highly recommend staying here -- beautiful and comfortable home, right amount of privacy, welcoming hosts.
