Our accommodation "Mummola" is the old main building of our farm in the farmyard in Mehtäkylä. Our accommodation was renovated to a modern standard in 2013, preserving the atmosphere of an old-fashioned granny's house. Our farm is located in a quiet suburb of Kalajoki, 17 km from the center of Kalajoki and 25 km from Hiekkasärki. In our yard, there are rabbits, chickens, cats, and a dog. A trampoline, a go-kart and a sandbox are also available for guests. There is a barbecue canopy in the yard with a gas grill. In the summer of 2026, a yard sauna will be available.

Spacious log cabin (120m2) in the tranquility of the countryside. Great for families and those looking for a peaceful getaway. The cottage has 6 beds and 3 bedrooms. Two double beds and two single beds. The cottage has a sauna heated by trees, there is a lot in connection with the lakeside sauna. A lot is included in the weekly rental price, on weekends for an additional price. A well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. The summer kitchen has a fireplace, a wood-burning stove and a gas burner for a masonry base pan.

Extra mattresses are also available for children. Space to move and play in the yard. In the common areas, there is the possibility of using the kitchen and washing machine.

From the cottage, it is about 3 km to the islet along the roads (shorter on foot) and about 10 km to Kalajoki. There are plenty of activities for both children and adults. There are hiking trails in the vicinity of the cottage and the golf course is right next door. The nearest beach is about 400m away.

The house is an old - built in 1908 - VR barracks building and it once served as the house of an accountant/shunter. The premises, which exude the atmosphere of the past, were renovated in 2022 and put into use for accommodation at the beginning of 2023. In the nostalgic cabin, you can escape from everyday life, sleep peacefully and stay in an atmospheric way. You are warmly welcome!
