  • Great little cabin in the upper Peninsula. The location between several amazing attractions is perfect. Definitely a great value. Remember, it’s a cabin so it’s a little bit tight and cozy in there, but all of that is clearly stated in the description. The host was absolutely amazing at communication as I book this cabin only an hour before my arrival. Easy check in with a lock box and everything was perfect. Don’t hesitate to stay here.

    Nathan2020-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • We would highly recommend Boomtown Cabins. Host Jonathan went above and beyond to make our visit comfortable and worry free. The cabin is beautiful and was perfect for our snowmobiling adventure. The trail is literally right outside your door, and Jonathan kept us updated on trail conditions and offered great advice for our ride. Other conveniences include gas and a terrific place to eat (Andy’s) just across the street. Don’t hesitate to book a stay anytime of the year, we will definitely be back!

  • We had a great time, very accommodating and was fairly close to the snowmobile trail. Very clean and cute place!

    Krista2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • From the text messages leading up to our arrival, to the coffee, to the spices and condiments left in the kitchen, Liz really thinks of everything a traveler could need. The cottage was very clean, stylish & comfy. The view of the lake was picturesque. We stayed in the winter and appreciated the small entry room with lots of hooks to hang snow gear for the ice fishing, snowshoeing and hiking activities planned for the trip. Like I said, Liz thinks of everything. We will come back!

    Tracy2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is beautiful with amazing views of the lake. My husband and I stayed here and hiked around the UP. Perfect location and an amazing place to come back to at night! We will definitely I rely be back!

    Jen2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • It took us a minute to find the cottage - it was very dark and raining. However when we walked into the cottage all tensions melted away! It was beautifully updated and Liz had a book made up on the table with all information we would need about the cottage, things to do in surrounding towns, and suggestions for food. We quickly unpacked and sat outside on the deck to listen to the waves of the lake. I can imagine it would be phenomenal in the summer, but even in the cold of fall the lake house cottage was a perfect stay to relax and reconnect. Liz also added a special touch to our trip by leaving us an anniversary card (it was our 2 year celebration) and a YOOPER chocolate bar. Any contents were available for us - which is excellent if you plan on cooking- basics are there! Liz was also great @ getting back with us right away with any questions. I highly recommend staying here and we plan to return in warmer weather with our children.

My husband and I along with our toddler had such a great experience. She ended up sleeping in the bedroom because she goes to bed so early, and they had a pull out couch the we slept on with plenty of extra pillows and blankets. We were very pleased with our whole stay. Would definitely come back!

  • This place is perfect if you want a comfortable and centrally located place in the UP. We were about an hour away from everything we wanted to see, which was perfect with having a 1 year old who napped on the car rides. The cabin was great. My husband, daughter and I were all comfortable and had plenty of space. The view is awesome looking out at the lake and made a great breakfast view. We would definitely return to this cabin or one of the others from this host.

This is a private cabin next to my home right on Lake Manistique! This cabin has two huge picture windows so you have a view of the lake even inside! The kitchen and living room are retro and you feel like you're in a 1950s cabin but with modern amenities. The cabin is set about 150 feet from the road so you are surrounded by woods and have as much privacy as you would like. This cabin has a no smoking policy and a no pet policy.
Boats for rent and bait shops are in the town of Curtis only 3 miles away. Boat access is only 1/2 mile.
I'm also only about 1 1/2 miles from the best Maple syrup farm! Curtis has a farm market once a week, festivals, and a great 4th of July parade. St. Timothy's Catholic church welcomes visitors and has awesome potlucks, and the Lions Club does pancake breakfasts!
  • What a perfect setting for our family vacation! The cabin was such a cozy place to relax between different siteseeing adventures. We went to Seney Nature Refuge, Pictured Rocks and toured all the different waterfalls. Nina’s cabin was equipped for our family breakfast and dinners with many thoughtful touches of a welcome basket and age appropriate toys for our kids. The cabin had everything needed for an up north retreat with comfy beds, beautiful views and Nina’s gracious, generous hospitality. Don’t delay, book your adventure at Top of the Lake II today!!

    Kindy2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Nina has the whole hosting thing down pat. She is gracious, giving & just so personable. The cabin is cozy & retro. If you like fishing, she’ll be more than happy to take you out. The morning views of the lake are great. The location is central to lots of nearby attractions. You won’t be disappointed!

    Carrie2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Nina is a wonderful host. She gave us recommendations and checked in on us from time to time. Her pup Riley is adorable! We were so pleased with the cabin. The bed was so comfortable and we were able to drink our coffee while looking out at the beautiful lake each morning. What a great trip!

    Abigail2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Top 'O Lake II! From the moment we arrived Nina was pleasant and welcoming. She showed us the lovely cabin we would be staying in and told us about the area. We ended up at the End Of The Road Winery as she suggested and owners Jim and Robin were lovely people. We were able to come back to the cabin and enjoy a little fire in Nina's pit with her and her pup Riley. Once the fire died down we went inside to watch the lake though the big windows while having a glass of local wine. Top 'O Lake II is within driving distance of several UP attractions also. The area is beautiful and the people are friendly. You won't regret staying here. Nina is a wonderful host with a very nice cabin in a great area.

  • Beautiful location, great little getaway

    Elon2019-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Top O Lake ll was clean and cozy! Nina had a bag of breakfast items and snacks when we arrived. She was very helpful and had brochures and books about nearby attractions. We went to Tahquamenon Falls, Oswald’s Bear Ranch, Kitch-iti-Kippy, and Pictured Rocks while we stayed there. It was a perfect location right on Lake Manistique and enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets from her dock. We also loved the paddle boat and her floats in the water. Perfect 4 days and weather was great. We even saw a bald eagle that nests near her cottage!

    Heidi2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Expect outstanding views and amazing hospitality from Nina. The place is very clean and cozy.

    Malia2019-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our family was honored to be Nina's first Airbnb guests at this quaint little cabin in the woods overlooking the pristine Big Manistique Lake. We enjoyed a short weekend here while attending a family reunion in Curtis and Engadine. The Top of the Lake II cabin has everything you could possibly need -- from kitchenware and coffee and tea to meat spices for grilling on her charcoal grill. She has thought of everything. The beds were really comfy and the radios in the living room are a nice way to zone out from a blaring television (of course, there's a TV and DVD player in one of the bedrooms if you want to watch a movie in bed). My daughter and I went fishing on Nina's peddle boat. She graciously gave us some worms so I didn't have to drive into town to buy some. The fish weren't biting, but we still had a great time. She also pulled out inflatables for my daughter to play on in the lake. Inside the cabin, Nina has books and board games for kids and adults to play (After this trip, my daughter's new favorite game is a campfire-themed board game called Toasted Roasted). This cabin is just a few miles outside of the town of Curtis. If you want to be within walking distance of those amenities, stay in town. But if you're looking for a quiet getaway in the woods, you should stay at Top of the Lake II. We'll definitely be coming back. Chad, Amanda & Madison Livengood St. Clair Shores, Mich.

Miner's Castle is about 15-20 minutes out, Chapel Basin Parking is about 20-25 minutes out, Grand Marais is about an hour away, Munising is 15 minutes out, Kitch-iti-kipi the Big Springs is about 25 minutes away. Colwell Lake is 5 minutes out, Manistique is about 20-25 minutes south. Boot Lake Bar and Grill is just down the street.
  • Patrick’s place was a great place to stay and perfect for snowmobiling. Very close to the trails and great bar near by for dinner. Would definitely stay again!

    Ashton2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is our 3rd stay at Patrick's house because we especially love the location near the snowmobile trails. He keeps the house clean, warm, and kitchen is stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. We will be back!

  • We stayed here for a weekend of snowmobiling and couldn’t be happier with this place. The trail is literally right down the street so no need to trailer out. Patrick is great with communication and there are a lot of nice touches there that made us feel at home. It’s within walking distance from the Boot Lake Bar and Grill where we found ourselves most nights after riding. Great food and people there! We love that this home is dog friendly too. It was clean, cozy and had everything we needed. Beds and furniture are very comfy. Nice hot water and good water pressure. Great towels too! There’s also a washer and dryer if you need to do laundry. Patrick is also an awesome photographer and his work hangs on the walls which I think is a great touch. We would definitely come back!

  • Great

    Aleksandr2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful house in a great location. Very quiet and secluded, but still only 10 minutes from Munising. Looks like the house was recently renovated. The kitchen was spacious and easy to use. The bathroom and shower worked really well. The place was warm and cozy even in the middle of winter. The driveway up to the house doesn't seem to get plowed every day, but we had no trouble getting there even with all season tires after a big snow storm.

    Aleksandr2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for snowmobles. We enjoyed our stay ! Everything you need to cook as well.

    Matt And Britt2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • We can't agree more!! Patrick is a great host and the cabin is in a nice location.

    Gary L.2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • We rented this cabin because of its location being that it is right off 94 just a short drive from Munising. We wanted someplace that was pet friendly as we were winter hiking and bringing our four legged children with us. The cabin was tucked in off the main road so it gave you that remote U.P. feeling but really you were less than a mile from 94 and even a shorter distance from a bar/grill that had great food. The inside of the cabin looks at though it was recently updated. Nice clean furniture, big tv, wifi, what looked to be a new bathroom setup and washer and dryer. We were thrilled to be able to spend our weekend in a place like this that was so close to the winter activities that we had planned. I e mailed the host a couple times about different things and he was super fast to respond. We had got quite a bit of snow amd he was even right out clearing the driveway and the road for us. I would for sure consider staying here again when we are in the area. It made for a much more relaxing weekend than if he had gotten a hotel room!

We are located just outside of Munising on scenic H-58, the gateway to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. We are only minutes away from pristine sandy beaches, dozens of waterfalls, boat cruises, kayak excursions, and so much more. Our first cabin was built as a duplex with two separate units, much like a king motel suite. In the winter months we have plenty of parking space for trucks and trailers, we are only 2 short miles from groomed snowmobile trails and 5 miles from the Bear Trap.
Built in 2018, Pictured Rocks Cabins is an ideal vacation retreat for couples! Each unit has a very comfortable pillow top king size bed, kitchenette with microwave, single cup coffee maker (we supply the coffee pods), mini fridge, toaster, WIFI, large flat screen TV’s with cable, outdoor gas grill, and limited kitchen supplies for our guests to use.
We are located in a residential neighborhood but we do have a gift shop next door.
  • Perfect location near Pictured Rocks... hosts were A++!

  • We were very pleased with the cabin and it's location. Super clean and a great value. Kathy kept in communication and met us at the cabin to give us a walk through. Also provided good information on places to hike. Can't wait to see when the other cabins being built on the property are finished as well - we will definitely recommend to friends!

    Megan2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • BEAUTIFUL CABIN! Very close and convenient to town! Brad was super helpful with directions and input on snowmobile trails, which were just up the road a little bit. The cabin had everything we needed and was super clean! Super comfy space with tons of room for parking!

    Morgan2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place to stay. The owners were amazing and very helpful on local tips. I ran into sled troubles and they were very eager to help. They even gave a pint of ice cream from their shop. They made sure the snow was cleaned in the driveway. The cabin was perfect and the bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept on away from home. Large flat screen TV, great water pressure, clean, warm and comfortable. Can’t wait to stay there again.

    Ben2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was such an amazing place to stay! I really don’t want to share with anyone!! Lol. Seriously, Kathy and Brad were amazing hosts!! Met us there in the dark to make sure we had all we needed!! • The Stone Cottage is a large, comfortable, clean, well-equipped house perfect for a winter weekend. The kitchen had plenty of sparkling clean plates, glasses, pots and pans, along with a new-model high-end stove and a huge, spotless refrigerator. We ended up making breakfast and dinner there each day. Lots of hot water and nice fluffy towels for warm showers after a day spent in the snow, and comfortable beds for a good night's sleep. This may not be a "luxury" place, but it was like coming back to your own home after a busy day out having fun -- comfortable and spacious and warm.

  • I don't ask for much in accommodations, clean, dry and warm is about it. This house easily offers that but having a full kitchen, dining room and living room with access to laundry was what made our stay so much more enjoyable.

  • Terri has a BEAUTIFUL place! We were impressed by the home, amenities, the little extras that she thought of to make sure we were comfortable, even a few toiletries we may have forgotten. She gave great recommendations for local diners and how to get to the nearby towns via trails which we could basically access from her yard!! Mid-October was definitely the time to go- the colors were OUTSTANDING & made every penny of the trip worth it.

  • Right off the main road and only a few minutes from Grand Marais. Jumped on the 4 wheelers and road about a mile down and jumped right onto Danaher trails and rode. Very clean and nice. Has all the amenities you have at home. Very limited cell service with a booster and no internet-but we knew that when reserving and it was very nice to unplug for a few days checking our messages only when needed when we went toward town. Nice outside covered porch with grill and chairs on a secluded side of house to be able to sit and enjoy nature and relax while grilling some dinner. Definitely would recommend and stay again.

The cottage is located on a hillside, overlooking a 4,000 acre lake, offering water view sunsets that can be different every night. The cottage has an enclosed porch and deck overlooking the lake, with stairs down to the lake level frontage.
  • This cabin was beyond our expectations. It was close to our planned excursions and a great place to come "home'" to at night. It was quiet and well stocked for our needs. We will be letting all of our friends know about this gem in the UP.

  • This cabin is a great place to enjoy "lake life." You can do everything from boating, fishing, kayaking, or just chilling by the water listening to the waves roll in on the lake and the breeze of the day. The cabin is located only a couple miles from Curtis, which has some good restaurants, great subs at Pizza Stop, and Kim's Tally Ho is good for a variety. There are two ice cream parlors. My favorite was Chet and Pat's. Their sundaes are awesome. Daryl's place is nicely located, making day trips to see surrounding attractions easy. Great place! The sunsets are amazing every night! The cabin has an inviting feeling as soon as you walk in the door. My favorite place was the sunroom/porch, no matter the day, you can sit out there and watch the water and enjoy the breeze. I thought it was perfect!

    Lori2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Daryl's place exceeded our expectations in every way. The value was excellent, it is a lovely cabin in an idyllic setting with lovely hosts and neighbors. The weather was perfect, the sunsets incredibly beautiful, and the friendly wildlife nearby were a joy to experience. We saw deer, frogs, fish, and during our last sunset at the cabin we witnessed a bald eagle right outside catch a fish and fly through the backyard! The only very minor drawbacks of the cabin were that there was not a dishwasher (we made most of our meals at the cabin, so we did a lot of dishes!) and the water is well-water, which takes some getting used to and you'll want to bring drinking water. Curtis is an adorable little town and only an hour from some of the most beautiful sights! We had day trips to Mackinaw Island, The Pictured Rocks, Oswald's Bear Ranch, Seney Wildlife Refuge, Kitch-iti-kipi Spring and our favorite and new happy place - Tahquamenon Falls. We can't wait to bring our family back to this gem. I would recommend this place to anyone!

  • The cabin is in a beautiful area and the sunsets are gorgeous. The cabin is well-equipped and the hosts are very friendly and welcoming. It is a serene and comfortable getaway with many things to do within an hour. Seney Wildlife Refuge is even closer and beautiful.

  • Thank you for a beautiful week in the U.P. The cottage was well beyond anything we expected, the location is utterly amazing and the property is set up so that guests can enjoy the beauty of the lake in comfort. We're tent campers, this was such an amazing and dramatic departure from that, it gave us all of the freedom we wanted to explore things like Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon and countless beaches and the amazing natural resources of the U.P. but also gave us a truly beautiful home base to come back to. The sunsets, stars and quiet at the cottage, along with the the ease of a full kitchen, comfy bedrooms and sweet hospitality of our hosts... it was perfect!! I can't recommend this home highly enough, it's perfectly located to make day trips of many of the major sights in the U.P. and so comfortable, you can't go wrong!!!

  • Very nice cabin to stay

    Bhargav2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Cabin was super clean and very well decorated. Kitchen was well stocked with the necessities and then some and the grill and firepit were nice to enjoy between the rain. Plenty of movies and games for the Rainey days, too.

    Sarah2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • I was having a hard time looking for a nice place in the UP. This was perfect for the two of us, traveling to the UP for the first time. Our main goal was to see Pictured Rocks while in the UP for only a couple days. We found the place easily and it was easy to check in. It was very clean and had all you would need...soaps and shampoo, fully stocked kitchen. Also had a nice grill, but we didn't use it. A fire pit, again we didn't use it since we were only there for two nights and were not there a lot, only to sleep basically. For being on a busy road it was quiet. No air or heat, but we didn't need any of that since the weather was perfect..not too hot or too cold. It is a perfect place to stay if you are looking at getting away. It isn't near a lot of stores, so if you are going there, I would suggest getting those things like groceries prior to your arrival...or there is a little grocery store that has the minimum to get you through, down the street. Overall we would definitely recommend staying here.

  • Absolutely loved this little cottage! It was nice and clean, and looked just like the pictures! Our dogs really enjoyed running around on the land! There was plenty of space for them to be free and play! It’s a beautiful place and was easy for us to get around to other places we wanted to visit in the UP! Will be back and would definitely recommend!!

    Katharine2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jared’s place is a cozy getaway! Though no WiFi, we were excited to have cell service the entire time (hard to find in parts of the U.P.) It’s a 45 min drive to Pictured Rocks but totally worth it! We were able to leave our dogs in the cabin to recharge and relax. The cabin is adorable and reminiscent of an older time, we especially enjoyed learning more about Germfask and the U.P. through the family history book on the coffee table. Would recommend again for easy access to central U.P.!

    Andrea + Denver2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our cottage was the perfect landing spot for our many day trips throughout the Eastern U.P.! It had everything we needed, and was such a cozy little spot to come back to each evening! If you need a central spot in the U.P. I highly recommend staying here!

    Melissa2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. The cabin is very comfortable and the decor is lovely. We appreciated the amenities and special touches, and would love to come back!

    Caitlin2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • We just spent four nights in the Huron cabin, with our two young kids. The cabin offered plenty of space for us to stretch out and was a great home base for all of our U.P. adventures! Would highly recommend!

This unique property rental includes use of the entire "Musher's Village"--11 acres with a 16' Pacific Yurt, a Tiny House/Cabin and Cookshack. Pets are welcome on property and in the buildings. Please read the entire description below as this is a very unique, remote and RUSTIC property. There is NO electricity on this property. This is a great property both for small and large groups. There are endless hiking and biking trails from the property.
The cabin and yurt combined sleep 8-10 people. Property is truly OFF GRID (NO running water, electricity, plumbing or internet. There is NOT a place to charge phones, etc). There is plenty of peace and quiet. Property is near our large, professional sled dog kennel so you may hear barking dogs. Property is easily accessible, located on a well-maintained dirt road. There are two outhouses, hand-pump for clean drinking water, an outdoor cook stove and grill for cooking, fire pit and comfortable beds. The beds are all twin size with the exception of one double bed in the cabin loft. There is no indoor plumbing...this means no shower or flush toilet. There are two clean outhouses on site. This is a kid-friendly property with great woods to explore and sand to dig in! There are great trails for hiking and mountain biking right from the property. There are also many lakes nearby for fishing, kayaking and canoeing. We are very close to the Silver Creek Birding trail for excellent bird watching. It's also a great place to enjoy night sky viewing with no light pollution. There is ample space for parking a trailer if you bring an ATV or boat.
There is no neighborhood...that's what makes it unique!! You can experience nature without having to bring all your own camping supplies. No tent or stove needed...it's all here! And, there are no neighbors to bother so feel free to sit up late and make noise around the campfire.
  • Great place, Tasha the host was very nice - my group already talking about staying there again next year..

    Benji2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in the mushing village was incredible! No cell phone service, no electricity, no light pollution - it was everything you’d want out of a primitive camping experience but with the comfiest beds to sleep in, a wood stove for warmth, Board games, and literally everything we could possibly need for cooking, bonfires, sleeping - everything! Tasha was a great host and was super helpful in telling us how to get to places like the grocery store and Tahquamenon Falls since we didn’t have cell phone service. We’re already looking forward to coming back sometime next year for another little getaway! It’s the perfect place to unwind from the busyness of life. Thank you for an incredible weekend, Tasha!

    Jessa2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • If your idea of vacation includes “disconnecting”, this is a great getaway for you! All the necessities are there for you- cookware, beds, bedding, shelter, water pump, dishes, etc. It was just me, my boyfriend and our Great Dane on the trip and the little cabin was cozy and worked well for us. Unfortunately we didn’t get to stay in the yurt as Heat was a must during our trip and hadn’t been hooked up yet. We really enjoyed the property, including the sauna! Everything was conveniently available and labeled for starting the wood stove fire, cookware for making breakfast, washing dishes, etc. The last morning we were there we sat in the garage with the door open sipping hot tea and eating pancakes while watching giant white flakes stick to the colorful leaves on the trees. You can hear the kennel, which we enjoyed as being big dog lovers- it just added to our experience : ) we did swing by the kennel on our way home and really enjoyed getting to learn some facts about dog sledding and of course- pet the dogs and play with the puppies. Even though there were a muddy mess from the sun melting the snow away, it was way worth it. I hope to stay again sometime. Thank you!

  • The best experience for whoever wants to dive into the beauty and wildness of the UP!

    Piero2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was exactly what we were looking for. A remote, rustic location to stay while we explored Pictured Rocks and the surrounding area. I will definitely plan more time at the camp if we're fortunate enough to return. The camp is well laid out, well organized, has a fantastically stocked kitchen, and there is very little asked of you at check out. It's a beautiful location. Hints/Tips for future travelers: DON'T TRUST GOOGLE! Use the directions sent to you in the reservation. And follow them out to the highway when you leave camp. The way Google wants you to go will not get you to the camp, and it is an ATV trail. 4x4 recommended to get to camp, especially if it has rained recently. No cell service was available after about 15 minutes outside Munising. Have a paper map or download the maps prior to embarking on your adventure. You will definitely hear the dogs in the neighboring kennels. It's pretty cool, but if you're someone who needs silence in the woods to sleep, it might not be for you. This is a very well stocked kitchen and camp. We brought a few things just in case, but the only gear of our own that we used was sleeping bags (supplemented by the provided sheets/blankets/pillows) and fire starters (because we were tired/lazy).

    Barbara2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great long weekend in the UP with Tasha's cabin as our home base. This place is RUSTIC, which is exactly what we were looking for. The outdoor cookhouse is fully stocked with everything we needed to have some simple meals by the fire with lots of space for our dog to run around. Staying on a property intended for dog sled teams was particularly fun! We loved hearing the dogs at the kennel down the street doing a collective bedtime howl together in the evening while we sat around the fire.

    Lauren2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • A great base camp for day trip excursions to explore eastern UP. Plenty of space for larger families and all the amenities (bedding, cookshack, tools, coolers, etc.) allow you to pack light and avoid hauling excess gear for camping alternatives. A wonderfully unique location to get away from it all for a while.

    Joseph2019-09-05T00:00:00Z

Our cottage is fully remodeled on the inside and we hope you enjoy it, as much as we do. It's just 2 miles to the South Manistique Lake boat launch which is on Norton Rd. for fisherman who likes to catch many fish, or just catch a beautiful sunset. Within minutes to the unique waterfront village Curtis, which has a access to both South Manistique and North Manistique Lake. Within 1 hour or so you can visit many U.P. attractions.
It's been said many times its a charming cottage with a relaxing feel, theirs a picnic area to enjoy the pleasure of eating outdoors and fire pit to relax and chill out under the stars and a welcoming woods on the left with a nature walk
it is safe, neighbors are nice and to themselves

It's on a nice sandy private beach, beautiful lake, the location is perfect for day trips to see many attractions. I will be back next summer for sure! There is a fire pit on the beach, shower works great and beds are comfy. If you forget any essentials there is a dollar general a mile or 2 down the road and Curtis is a cute town that is very close. Thank you for a perfect getaway John and Sandy!

Serene log Cabin in Michigan Upper Peninsula. Outdoorsmen, couples, and families can enjoy the natural wonder of Hiawatha Nation Forest, the waters of Thunder Lake, fresh air and wildlife year round. Short drive to area attractions.
Everything you would need for a vacation away from the hustle and bustle of daily life is included. Just bring food, clothes, and personal toiletries. Then RELAX!
Trees, nature, and the fun of watching the wildlife right outside your door. The wildlife photos that we've posted where taken at the cabin's property!
  • This cabin was great for our long weekend getaway of snowmobiling! We did have 5 guys so it was a bit tight, but it would be a perfect place for 4 good friends, couples, families of up to 5 or 6. For us, it was just a place to sleep and relax after a long day of trail riding. Trails were close enough that we did not have to trailer, plenty of sights and attractions to see in the surrounding areas! Overall, great for our group. We will certainly be back in a group of 3 or 4, for snowmobiling and ORV in summer. Very clean and rustic, just far enough off the road to feel your on a private slice of heaven. Overall, great experience.

  • Sam’s Lakeside Cabin was wonderful. We greatly enjoyed our stay. The cabin itself was very cozy and well outfitted and in a peaceful location. Loved the dock and lake access and kayaks. Sam was very responsive and friendly and went above and beyond by helping us with a car problem. Thank you so much!! Highly recommend

  • Great place to stay and we had a great week! It is very well located in the middle of the Pictured Rocks area and has a lot of extra features that were nice to have. The lake it is located on is wonderful and offers lots of fun right out of the door. We had great communication with Sam throughout the stay as well. We loved our stay and would love to come back in the future.

  • We enjoyed our stay here. It was short but when we come back we absolutely will choose this place. We were greeted with smiling faces, all of the “extras” were a great for us to be able to get up and go while grabbing a quick snack and drink for the road. Just like at home. We also had a small additional request that Ghe Ghe was able to help with. We would still be grateful if she couldn’t help but want to say a special thank you for that.

The Shoe Pac Room, at Sa-Wa-Quato Inn is close to restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities, nightlife, and the beach. You’ll love my place because of the views, the location, the people, the ambiance, and the outdoors space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and big groups.

  • We were not sure what to expect as we hadn't used Airbnb before. However, this turned out to be our favourite place to stay out of the 5 different places we had booked on our holiday. John and Ghe Ghe were the perfect hosts, making us feel very welcome. As we were a group of 6, the communal areas where we could socialise was fabulous. One evening we had a lovely time sat around the fire pit playing campfire games. Breakfast was simple, muffins and fruit, but there was no problem bringing our own food in as there is a fridge and microwave on the upstairs landing. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate was available all the time. The rooms were quite luxuriously decorated and really spacious. Curtis is a small, friendly town, ideally situated for exploring the Upper Peninsula with everything an easy distance away. We would certainly stay there again.

  • Exceeded our expectations. Immaculate and tasteful decor. Enjoyed the starry evening with a glass of wine, warming our toes by the fire on the front deck. Peaceful and private despite sharing the inn with other guests.

  • My girlfriend and I got in around 11 PM after a full day of hiking. the place was comfortable and stylish, the perfect end to a long day outside. I slept extremely well in the big comfortable bed. Coffee and packaged muffins for breakfast in the morning.

  • Very comfortable, homey, welcoming space. Great to have parking and a continental breakfast. Fun little local places near by to dine, etc. Very well maintained. Very hospitable hosts and good communicaters. Guests just need to be ok with the shared bathroom (which is really clean, spacious and nice), but there may be a wait occasionally. It was a perfect respite between a long drive from well-into Canada and Southern WI. Thank you!

  • They were great with responding to our messages when we got lost. We let them know ahead of time we were arriving after the check in window and they were very accommodating and flexible. We were shown around and given tips quickly and efficiently, which was great after a long drive. The camper was clean and very comfortable! Loved our humble abode for the weekend!

  • Great spot with awesome amenities including a fire pit and outdoor swing to help with stargazing. Easy to find, and hosts were great with communication and went out of their way to make sure everything was in order. Will be coming back on our next UP trip.

    Tyler2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time staying in a camper and we couldn’t be happier with our experience! We were close to local attractions and it was nice to be able to sit outside with a fire and roast some hotdogs and s’mores. The camper had plenty of space for the 3 of us. It is the UP so WiFi is touchy sometimes but if you have a mobile hotspot you won’t run into any issues. This place is clean and there are many little touches throughout that make it feel like home. Would definitely stay here again.

    Christina2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place! Very clean. Great location - minutes away to Munising. Todd and Jackie were great hosts - quick to respond, easy going and Jackie is sooo sweet. Do yourself a favor and stay here. :)
