Places to stay in Sechelt
Airbnb's second "Most-Wishlisted" property across all of Canada, our beautiful loft cabin has incredible views of the Sechelt Inlet and gets all the afternoon sun. The beach is a three minute walk downhill, and our community is very quiet as it sits at the end of the road. Why not come and relax for a few days?
Our cabin has a wonderful view of the Sechelt Inlet. And it is all yours to enjoy. It is an a-frame, and so has a very open layout on the inside. It has an upstairs loft as the bedroom with an attached balcony out front. The bathroom is very bright, having a large skylight to let light in, and it features a lovely claw foot bathtub for soaking in. The cabin is situated very close to the end of the road that it lives on (10kms from the town of Sechelt), so there is little to no traffic to disturb your time away. Be careful, you may have the best sleep of your life here. There is oodles of hiking and mountain biking nearby (Coast Gravity Park is just up the road) as well as plenty of events and festivals to be enjoyed, especially during the summer months. Our cabin is a perfect retreat for anyone interested in experiencing the best of British Columbia. Two people can be accommodated very comfortably, but as well there is a pullout couch downstairs that can sleep two more!
Our cabin is in Tuwanek which is situated very close to the end of the road that runs north along the east side of the Sechelt Inlet. Beyond Tuwanek there is little else besides wilderness, accessed only by plane or boat. As a result, it is very quiet up here with little to no traffic. Right below us is the Tuwanek spit, which is often abuzz with divers. This is where we keep our canoe which is always available to our guests to use. Behind us up the logging road is Tetrahedron Provincial Park, which has plenty of trails and even a series of cabins that can be stayed in for the more adventurous type. It is advisable to have a rugged vehicle to get up there, and definitely chains if attempting in winter. About a five minute drive back towards town is Hidden Grove which has a very lovely, and easily accessible set of trails to be enjoyed by all. And another couple minutes towards town you will find Porpoise Bay Provincial Park which has a fairly nice, sandy beach and is pleasant to visit during the summer months. There is of course plenty more to see and do further away on the Coast. A few highlights include a nice hike about forty minutes from here at Smugglers Cove, hiking/snowshoeing up on Dakota Ridge, a nice drive through Madeira Park or Garden Bay, and a venture all the way to the end of the peninsula to see the standing waves at the Skookumchuck Narrows!
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Gary and Jen's cabin. It was super comfy, clean, and well-organized to make good use of the space. It had lots of helpful things like spices in the kitchen, the bed was comfy, and it was super quiet at night. We would definitely stay here again!

  • A beautiful little getaway for any occasion. We got lucky and had a sunny weekend and walked to the Hidden Grove hiking trails and wandered the nearby beaches. Definitely want to come back in warmer weather to take advantage of all the paddling opportunities in the area. The cabin itself was very clean and had a great layout with a stunning view off the balcony.

  • Gary & Jen's cabin was one of my favourite AirBnb stays to date. Total relaxation and great views over the inlet. The cabin was very clean, bed and couch are comfortable and all the amenities we needed to cook and kick back. We only met Jen once during our stay and she was very friendly. Would HIGHLY recommend this place!

  • Great cabin. Nicely appointed and welcoming. Thanks!

    Josh2016-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay here was pretty much perfect. The cabin was cozy, the view was spectacular, and the lovely bathtub was great for long soaks after a hike. The use of the canoe was also a big highlight--it was very peaceful gliding along the coast, and we even saw some seals who swam by to say hello. There's lots of hiking and walking in the area but the cabin is also very conducive to relaxing with nothing on the agenda. Gary and Jen were lovely hosts and I would have liked to have spent more time with them. Overall a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend this place to others, or come again myself :)

    Alaina2013-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely amazing getaway! We loved the cabin and Gary was an excellent host. Absolutely everything we needed was there to make our stay as comfortable as possible. It was nice to meet them when we checked in but the cabin was completely private during our stay. Having access to the canoe was wonderful and we spent quite a bit of time exploring the inlet. Saw lots of wildlife and had fun clambering over rocks exploring the secluded beaches in the park. We lucked out for weather and were able to explore the inlet and the many trails in the area, but we would have been just as happy if it had rained and we stayed at the cabin what with the incredibly well stocked kitchen, books, and guitar! My only regret is that we couldn't stay for a longer period of time!! Thank you so much to you both for hosting!

  • My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon! We had a fabulous time. Gary and Jen are wonderful hosts and super helpful. The cabin is super clean and the bed is amazing. Our favorite part was the top deck, we sat out there as much as we could, very relaxing! We will definitely be coming back!!

    Melanie2015-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little cabin in a beautiful neck of the woods. We really wanted to get away from it all and not stay somewhere tourist-y, and this fit the bill. There are a ton of outdoors things to do within an hour drive. The cabin was also nice and cozy on a cold rainy day when I was sick and just wanted to curl up with a book.

  • Gary & Jen are great to deal with. Friendly, easy going and quick to respond to inquiries. This cabin is surrounded by heavenly tall trees and the inside is adorable and laced with many cute touches. The reading nook was our personal fave! The views from the deck made for memorable family dinners and sunset watching. The neighbourhood was quaint and the neighbours and dogs were sweet. We would definitely come back! =)

    Kerri2016-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • I really liked the design of the cabin, the view from living room and bedroom as well as deck. Loved the wood stove. Gary and Jen were very nice and answered all my questions. Thank you guys so much! Definitely coming back!

    Taya2015-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at the cabin. It is very comfortable for two people, and has a beautiful view and deck. As described, the cabin is not right in Sechelt and is off the main highway, so it's perfect for those looking for a quiet getaway and who don't mind a short drive into town. There are a few neighbours close by, but we still had lots of privacy and quiet time to relax. There is a nice beach a short walk further down the road. Gary and Jen made everything easy for us and we'd love to come back. Thanks!

    Amy2015-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Gary and Jen's cabin was perfect! Exactly as described, and very cozy. It was great for our family of 4 with 2 little kids (4 and 2). The location was ideal with a beach nearby. 10-15min drive to downtown Sechelt. Gary greeted us and was an excellent host. Highly Recommended!

    Edmund2015-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures barely do this spot justice. It was more beautiful than shown. The cabin was perfect and had everything we needed to enjoy our two nights. We have already recommended it to friends! Thank you for sharing your space with us.

    Nikki2016-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Gary and Jen's cabin. It was exactly as described. Great view from the patio and the fireplace was great at night. We would definitely stay there again.

  • I've never given a 5 star rating on anything, but this cottage really was fantastic! It far exceeded our expectations and would not hesitate to recommend to friends or family. Huge deck over looking the water, nice wood burning stove and secluded in a great little community. We had a great time and so did our pup. If you're looking to escape the city or just check out the west coast this spot can't be beat.

    Steve2016-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • 3rd time in 3 years we come to Jen and Gary's cabin and we plan to keep that tradition going! Outstanding hosts, beautiful space, excellent location....what else to ask for?

  • This place is the cutest!! They have really thought of everything, there are all sort of small touches that make the cabin really special. Perfect for a getaway from the city. We would love to come back here, it's just the best

  • Fantastic place for a relaxing getaway. Beautifully decorated and fully equipped with amenities, Ben's cabin is the perfect combination of simplicity and indulgence. Thoughtful touches everywhere make for a unique, memorable stay. Easy to get to from the ferry and just a short walk from beautiful Secret Beach. Hope to be back soon!

  • We stayed here for a weekend for a birthday/anniversary trip and it was wonderful! The cabin looks exactly like the photos, and it was very cozy and cute inside. We enjoyed all of the amenities: the wood stove, the piano, the hot tub, and the kitchen. The cabin is also located about a five minute walk from a quiet, secluded beach. Thank you so much for the wine!

    Amanda2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute and cozy cabin! Had a great time staying there!

    Tracy2017-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here with our 10 month old. While the openness was not totally ideal when it came time for our baby to nap (because there was no sound barrier), it was great having relaxing space outdoors to hang out when she was sleeping. We had no problem lounging in the hot tub or on the large hammock for hours! The hammock was also a hit with our daughter. My husband is still raving about how comfortable the bed was - it was so soft and fluffy it was like sleeping on a cloud! Overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a place to relax while visiting Gibsons and the Sunshine Coast.

    Jessica2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second visit back...always a peaceful and relaxing place to be. Cant wait to come back again soon!

    Melinda2018-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely cabin on Gibsons is the perfect place to get away any time of year! Very close to anything you need (groceries, beach, ferry, and restaurants). We really loved the indoor and outdoor fires! The bed was also super comfy. We almost didn't want to leave the cabin because it was such a nice space to be in. Would be perfect for winter or summer trips. Like previous reviews have said, every detail of this place has been thought out. Probably the best airbnb we've ever stayed at!

    Oksana2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Ben and Kristy have obviously put a lot of thought and effort into their cabin, and we really enjoyed all of the details. The house was spotless when we arrived. The hot tub was great and the antique decor was charming. The games, books, stereo, and kitchen all went to good use, and everything we needed seemed to be there. Communication with Ben was always easy and quick. The location was a short walk from the beach and close to the ferry and Gibsons. We would definitely recommend this for any couple looking for a nice getaway.

  • The Lily Pad is just like the way it looks like in photos. Amazing little cottage & great location. Gary and Jen even let us in a couple of hours earlier than the planned check in time which helped us greatly. The frogs' croaking sounds may bother some people at night. Otherwise, everything else was beyond our expectations!

    Stephanie2017-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cabin, thoughtfully decorated, with a lovely view of water and trees. Some books and DVD's in case you forgot to bring some. Amazing location: small beach within two minutes' walk, two parks within a 10 minute drive (one a rainforest, the other a picnic area and beach), only 15 minutes to town for restaurants and services. Hot tub surrounded by trees. Easy check-in with a keypad at the door, and hosts totally unobtrusive but readily available if we needed anything. We couldn't ask for anything more!

  • The place was absolutely fabulous. Nice and quiet with ocean view. Beds were very comfy. Great place!!

  • Third time we have stayed at one of Gary & Jen’s properties and we’ll be booking another trip very soon! You won’t be disappointed.

Our private, cozy cottage is located in a tranquil garden setting just a short walk from the beach and the heart of Roberts Creek. The cottage has all the comforts of home, a fully equipped kitchenette, fireplace, BBQ and private hot tub.
Our guests enjoy the privacy that our cottage offers. The hot tub is in a gazebo and can be enjoyed no matter what the weather. It's a great place to relax near to hiking trails, a golf course and the quaint village of Roberts Creek.
We live at the end of a very quiet cul-de-sac. The area is great for walking and cycling or just relaxing in the gardens.
  • "A Dream Come True Cottage" certainly fits the name. Jackie, our host, was very accommodating and very welcoming. She greeted us upon arrival, gave us a quick tour of their lovely cottage, and gifted us with a lovely welcome basket. Jackie also spent time advising us of local activities and restaurants, and things to see and do in the area - you will notice she has a list of things for visitors to check out. The cottage itself was very quaint and comfortable, but our absolute favorite part of the cottage was the private hot tub under a gazebo. Pictures don't do justice, and I assure you I will be back to visit Jackie again! Thank you Jackie :)

    Benita2015-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our time at the cottage. There is a gas fireplace that kept us very warm during a rainy January weekend. The hot tub was excellent - clean and easy to use. Small touches such as the delicious cookies upon arrival added to the experience. The hosts were very helpful in providing driving directions as this was our first time out on the Sunshine Coast. Overall a wonderful experience and we would definitely come again.

    Vinay2018-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay.. Cookies were icing on the cake.

    Joshua2018-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great cozy cottage. Loved the location. Very clean and comfortable. Got tub was amazing.

    Doug2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful host - thoughtful, accommodating and professional. Would stay there any time I’m in Robert’s Creek!

    Pamela2018-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful spot. Walk from ocean. Hot tub. Very clean and private.

    Dania2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cozy cottage though not adequate space, we found, for a family of four--a tight squeeze. It may have helped to have the square footage included in the online description. The best thing about this place is the privacy--nicely secluded. Care is given to sight lines with the surrounding neighbors and the hosts themselves--very much appreciated. The wi-fi and hot tub were a bit unpredictable, but the problems were quickly resolved with a simple request. Great response time. The policy folder at the cottage mentions no kids under 12 can use the hot tub though this is not mentioned in the online description. This was unfortunate because we have two kids under 12 who urged us to take the cottage because "it has a hot tub!"

    Karl2018-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Jackie's response was very quick, the cottage was super cute and the added touches (amazing cookies, orange juice and sparkling water) were a much appreciated bonus! If I ever need a place to stay in Roberts Creek again I will definitely come here!

  • Excellent accommodation by an excellent host. The cabin and surrounding area are even nicer in person and we are already planning to return in the future. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bowen Island !

  • By far exceeded our expectations! Reg was a fantastic host! Very easy to communicate with, at ease check in and made us feel welcome from the get go! The cabin is nicely tucked away in the woods, and just a short drive to the ferry, town and Killarney Lake (if you plan to run or hike). The cabin is completely stocked with everything you need, if you plan to cook, hook up your laptop to a smart TV or simply just enjoy the nature right from the door step! Loved our stay, I HIGHLY recommend staying here and will definitely be back!!

  • We had a great time at this beautiful cabin. Reg was a great host, the place was supper clean and offered way more than we expected. Loved the fireplace and can't wait to go back.

  • This was exactly the log cabin experience we were looking for. The place has a simple charm and is cozy, comfortable and clean. It is clear that Reg and his family take excellent care of the place and take pride in making guests feel comfortable. We will definitely be back!

    Jade2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Reg’s cabin was an amazing experience. It was our first time visiting Bowen Island and the cabin set the tone for a perfect weekend. We cooked in the adorable (well equipped) kitchen, drank wine by the fire, hiked in the rain, and enjoyed everything about this well thought out space. Very community oriented, kind and generous Reg was the perfect host. They even offer yoga classes everyday in their on site yoga studio. We hope to head back this summer and explore more of Bowen Island. We will definitely stay at Wildwood again. Amazing place!

    Renee2017-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible spot to spend the night, only wish I could have stayed longer! Really a hidden gem on the beautiful Bowen Island. Reg was an outstanding host, and made sure I was all set for the night. Will definitely be back, thanks again!

  • I stayed for a weekend at Claudine's loghouse with my friends. Now I now why she's a super host - because the whole experience for five of us was literally outstanding. That was my first experience staying in a loghouse and I'm so fortunate that I could spent a weekend at this place. I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to have some quiet time away from the city bustles.

  • The house was even better than the photographs on their site. everything that you need to have a wonderful relaxing time has been provided, you immediately feel at home.Everyone in our party agreed that the beds were great to sleep on especially after our "hard" day of golfing. This place is the ideal guy getaway close to everything we need- great golf course two minutes away excellent fish and chips from Sharkeys two minutes away. Perfect relaxation as we ate our BBQ steaks drank beer watched the shooting stars and talked about all the great shots we had on the golf course. We will definitely be back and would recommend the log house to everyone Well done Claudine and Kika you have created an amazing spot that has given us great memories Till our next visit thank you

  • The log house has been beautifully decorated, is spacious and fully equipped for families with little children. We loved the location - only a short walk to the beach and little shops in Roberts Creek and also close to fun little trails. Claudine and Kika were always happy to answer questions and to provide information. 100% recommended!

    Andrea2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Just stayed in Claudine & Kika’s place for a girls getaway for a friends birthday. Weather was wet & rainy so the house was perfect to sit in by the fire and enjoy good food and company. House was clean and well equipped (comfy beds, warm fire, great kitchen). House is a short (5-10 min) walk into Roberts creek (gumboot cafe, lovely pier) and close by Cliff Giker park. Hosts were very easy to communicate with and super friendly!

  • Wonderful place to stay... I would recommend it to anyone!!! Thank you again for everything.

  • Such a great place to stay! Claudine & Kika were so helpful, communication was great- they really did go the extra mile to help us get sorted when the air bnb we were originally supposed to be staying in fell through. This charming cabin really did have such a cosy and homey feel to it. It was a great place to stay whilst we explored Roberts Creek. I would highly recommend it.

    Amy2018-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very lovely and private. We loved the fire pit area the most.

    Mary2018-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Claudine & Kika's log house was perfect place for our family! The house was so much nicer than we thought and and everything including linens was very clean. Also, there was everything that we need. - 3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms for 3 families - indoor and outdoor dining set - BBQ on outdoor deck - gas fireplace - comfortable sofa and chairs We were enjoying our BBQ on the deck and having a great time in the fire pit. Our family really enjoyed our stay and this was the best house I've ever stayed at through Airbnb. And Claudine was always helpful and kind, and promptly replied to all inquiries. We will definitely be back soon! Thanks for everything, Claudine & Kika

Escape and relax in my cozy a-frame cabin with full kitchen, large deck, and freestanding gas stove. Tucked amongst large trees on one acre of land, the cabin has hiking trails in the forest behind and beach access directly across the street.
Open concept a-frame cabin, with two bedrooms and bathroom upstairs and open kitchen/dining/living room downstairs. The freestanding gas stove keeps the entire place toasty warm. There is a BBQ to grill with and a TV with Netflix as well. There is one large master bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a second bedroom with a double-sized bed, and a fold out sofa bed in the living room. Redrooffs Road is mainly used by local residents as the highway is the faster way to get north, so there is very little noise/traffic making it a great place to enjoy some quiet time. Halfmoon Bay General Store (Beer, wine, groceries, bacon!, toiletries, etc) and Halfmoon Bay Cafe (soup, cookies, sandwiches, coffee/espresso) are minutes down the road. There is some great hiking and mountain biking located in the forest behind the property, and more trails for hiking and biking nearby. Directly across the street there is beach access for a walk on the beach, to skip stones, paddle a kayak, or watch the sun set over Thormanby Island. Smuggler's Cove Provincial Park is a short drive away for a beautiful stomp in the woods and amazing views to the Straight of Georgia.
Situated on Redrooffs Road (two O's, two F's), the main thoroughfare along the water in Halfmoon Bay, the cabin is perfectly situated to access a number of different parks nearby. • Smuggler's Cove Provincial Park (11 minute drive) • Sargeant Bay Provincial Park (7 minute drive) • Simson Provincial Park, Thormanby Island (short boat ride) And other local businesses: • Rockwater Secret Cove Resort (11 minute drive) • Halfmoon Bay General Store & Cafe (3 minute drive)
  • Great spot !!

  • Great and cute place. With everything you need to have a good experience. Brett was great answering the messages when we needed something. We recommend this rental.

    Ann2016-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice place - we got the BC experience we came for! Didn't get to se the whales, but the day after we left they were there, so we where just unlucky. Got to eat ousters of the beach, swim with the seals every morning and feed the deer which came by every evening.

    Annemette2016-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Had the most incredible time at Brett's place!!! The photos don't do it justice, the place is amazing. Charming, thoughtful design and decor. Every amenity was there, especially the kitchen. Had a perfect fire going all night. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family. Can't wait to go back again soon.

    Brian2015-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience at Brett's house. He was very responsive and helpful with any inquiries we had. The house was nicely decorated, clean and well stocked for any cooking needs. We loved the wood stove and deck. The location was amazing too; quiet but still close to Sechelt. Thanks Brett! We will be back.

    Colleen2015-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Brett's cabin was exactly what we'd hoped for. Cozy, cute and lots of interesting touches - from the books to the guitar to the decor. Literally a minute walk away from the beach and only a short drive into town. Perfect size for four people with a big deck as a highlight. We enjpyed BBQing and eating outside amongst the trees. We'll be back!

    Leigh2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our experience at Brett's cabin! Brett was very timely with his responses and offered great recommendations on where to eat and things to do. The cabin was very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen had all your necessities for cooking and cleaning which was a nice since we cooked a few meals. The location is perfect is you're up for travelling either further up Sunshine Coast or down.

    Siya2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing home! Beautiful house and setting, wood burning stove, speakers, super stocked kitchen and the deck and outdoor lights are just dreamy. Also has a great selection of games!! Favourite Airbnb I've ever stayed in, hands down. Thanks Brett! Would recommend others to visit Smugglers Cove - such a gorgeous place for a nice easy amble and picnic.

  • The Tender - the garden studio - at Scott’s place is ideal for a getaway, or as a base to explore the Sunshine Coast. It’s less than a block to the Public Market and marina and walking paths, and Scott rents scooters and electric bikes that significantly extend your range of exploration. You can buy fresh fish, grill it on your private patio (with table, umbrella and hammock), in the garden outside your door. People are friendly, the views are stunning throughout the town, and Gibsons itself is very, very appealing. One excellent option is to use this studio as a base for setting out on hikes, maybe before heading north to tackle all or part of the 180km Sunshine Coast Trail. Gibsons is so very chill compared to the city. I saw a deer walking calmly down the same road where two boys had set up a lemonade & iced tea stand. You can go barefoot in the grass, and Scott will check in and say hi, and see if you need anything. I read three books, caught up on some work, loved it.

    Steph2018-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Scott's place was great, it's a really really nice area and he has thought out the space well. We had everything we needed and Scott is a great guy. Thoroughly recommended.

    Mitchell2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic space !

    Angela2018-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Scott's place was exactly as the description and pictures made it out to be; cosy, modern, clean and private. Great location, 1 minute away from the public market. Check-in/ out was a really easy experience thanks to Scott's timely and straightforward communication. Had a great stay.

    Adam2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying there. Only thing I would have liked was a robe. Not a big deal. Will go back again.

    Catherine2018-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Scott is always quick to respond with communications. The cabin is sparkling clean and very comfortable with everything you need and more. The outdoor space is very private for relaxing, play some darts or cozy around the fire in the evening. I parked my car as everything is walking distance, or you can rent one of his scooters and explore the area. Highly recommend this beautiful quante cabin!

    Donna2018-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Scott's place, it's in a beautiful scenic area in the heart of the village. The cabin was very homely and cosy and was very well equipped with everything we needed! Easily accessible by public transport. Would definitely stay again, highly recommended!

    Karen2017-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Scott's place is in an excellent location, across the road from a marina and seawall walk that goes along the beach to the busier area of Gibsons. The place itself is a converted garage that is small, but was cleverly remodelled with good use of space, so that it is comfortable and everything that you need is there. The remodel was done professionally, to a high quality.

Our 1000 sqft totally private cabin sits in an acre land, surrounded by mature trees and bush. It is hidden in the woods and provides a gorgeous view of mountain. Supper private, cozy and comfortable. Two queens in two separated bedrooms provide enough privacy and comfort. • The perfect property to disconnect and unwind. Silence. Birds. Tall trees and roasting marshmallows over an open fire. Very relaxing. This property has everything one would need and is only a short drive from supplies in Sechelt. Nearby are great hiking trails, beaches and a great place to rent kayaks for the day (Pedals and Paddles...put them on your list) I would stay again. Thanks E!

  • Great location for exploring the sunshine coast. Eva and Elton were very responsive and check in/out was easy. The cabin had lots of natural light, and offered good refuge on rainy days.

    Greg2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great secluded spot. Super hosts (Not onsite but excellent communication) and nice bright space.

    Sharon2018-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely cabin in the woods. While we didn't get the chance to enjoy the fire pit due to local fire restrictions, we did enjoy the grill on the terrace pretty much every night. The view here is wonderful, be it from the sofa or the terrace. It was a really great place to go relax, and we were close to shopping and hiking as well.

    Tally2018-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Eva & Elton's place! We were drawn to the cabin because of its quiet, forest setting and it did not disappoint. Sitting on the back deck under the tall Cedar trees was everything I had hoped it would be. The cabin itself is spacious, bright, and airy. Each of the bedrooms has windows on two walls and there are skylights in the kitchen and dining areas. The beds were very comfortable (there was a new mattress topper on the one bed ). Like other guests, we were struck by the many thoughtful touches. Thanks, Eva. We will be back!

    Naomi2018-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • we were particularly happy with how well-stocked the kitchen is—cooking was easy & we didn't need to buy basics, which I often find myself doing at airbnbs. loved the firm mattress on the bed & the quiet location. would definitely stay here again.

    Listen2018-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Eva's place for 2 nights. If you're looking for a quiet, rustic getaway this is a great place. We stayed here at the end of October and it was a cold and wet weekend. The first night it took a bit of time to get it warmed up but once we got the fire going it got real cozy real fast. The shower is a bit noisy and can he heard from the two bedrooms. But this was mentioned in the house instructions. The place is very secluded and surrounded by trees at the same time, a short distance from groceries and restaurants and the beautiful Sechelt inlet. The kitchen is well stocked. There's no TV but the wifi worked well. Eva was very responsive and helpful. I'd love to go back there and highly recommend it to everyone who loves peace and quiet.

Welcome to our cozy Writer's Cabin. We are just a short walk from the shoreline, and a 25 minute walk to the Cove. We offer not only a vintage typewriter, but also a luxurious bathroom and yard that you might mistake for a rainforest.
Be prepared for one of the best sleeps of your life, and to be woken up to the sound of birds tweeting. The space itself is simple but clean and cozy. We've got a bed, a desk, a typewriter and a heater. It's quiet and private, but if you need anything, including recommendations of how best to enjoy the island, we're right next door.
This is a quiet, residential neighbourhood with lots of dog walkers and kids. A short walk down a steep set of stairs to the nearest beach.
  • The Writer's Cabin is even lovelier than the posting suggests. We had such a nice time, and Ross and Meribeth were such welcoming lovely hosts.

    Nora2015-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Meribeth and Ross where vey helpful, offered to pick us up, and even took us into town. The cottage is splendidly unique and we would definitely stay with them again.

    Adrian2017-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Met with complete kindness even when I showed up at the wrong entrance, Meribeth was nothing but accommodating. I’d say as a family they are quite gifted in hospitality and I hope they continue to host airbnb-ers!

    Ainsley2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time in the Writer's Cabin. Meribeth welcomed us and gave us some quick tips on places to find beaches and go for breakfast etc. The cabin is cozy with a big private bathroom/shower in the cabin next door and a nice deck to sit out on. We saw a deer and some hummingbirds in the backyard as well.

    John2016-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Cute cabin set up on Bowen Island close to trails and the bus. Walkable with good shoes, etc to town. The bathroom cabin is the cutest rustic bathroom ever!! Enjoyed my stay here and hosts were super helpful and welcoming!

    Courtney2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was just as beautiful as it was described. The roads of bowen can be a bit of a wild ride but the instructions that Meribeth gave us before we arrived got us there with no problems. The bathroom is as it is described in the other reviews and it is beautiful!! (The floors are heated and we wanted to just stay in there our whole trip.) The page says that the essentials are not provided but towels, blankets, shampoo, bodywash and a variety of options for hot drinks.

  • Great little place and Sandy made sure everything was clean and very inviting when you first get in. Everything you need is there and some information on the Island is given to you, which was very helpful. I highly recommend this cottage in the woods.

    J2016-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Place was lovely and rustic just as the pictures show!! Great location close to trails and shops. Just a heads up there is a rooster at the farm house at the bottom of the road, which may or may not add to the rustic nature of the cabin, depending on how early you like to get up Lol ! The cabin itself was clean, except the kitchen appliances we found to be on the dirty side. Other than that we did enjoy our stay and Sandi was easy to communicate with.

    Neezar2017-04-24T00:00:00Z

  • Sandis cottage was the perfect spot for a weekend get away with my boyfriend and our dog. The cottage was warm and cozy during a big snow fall, and it had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. I would recommend Sandis cottage to anyone wanting a peaceful vacation. We are looking forward to staying there again.

  • Sandi's Cottage is quiet and secluded. It is cozy and quaint. She has dishes pots and pans to cook if you wish. She has a good coffee maker and a fabulous orange teapot! We enjoyed a BBQ out on the patio. It is a 15 min walk to a dock and we watched a beautiful sunset over the mountains. She left numerous brochures and info to help us choose scenic hikes and beaches around the island. If you are looking for a quiet, restful, nature filled get away this is the place for you! • Linda and Ian were great hosts and the location is really good with an amazing view over the ocean. The room is very well equipped and very open plan which works well. Overall really impressed, they were helpful getting us in and left us to ourselves. Would highly recommend it if you are in the area.

  • It was an amazing relaxing stay at the Waterfront Cottage. Ian, Linda's husband, met us at the cottage to give us a brief tour of the cottage and beach front. He was very friendly and even gave us a few recommendations for restaurants and hikes. The cottage was as described or better and the views of the ocean took our breath away. Favourite part of our stay was enjoying a glass of wine in the hot tub while watching the sunset. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to get away from the city.

    Ahmed2014-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was fantastic! The hosts are great people and very friendly. The place was clean, comfortable, and the view was amazing. We did the entire trip on transit, and it was super easy once we figured out the schedules. It’s a quick walk to Davis Bay for food and a cheap taxi or bus ride for groceries from the home. Easy bus ride to Gibsons or Sechelt as well, with stops either way just outside the property. Seeing the stars at night was a real treat as we don’t see them in Vancouver like they are in Davis Bay.

  • This cottage met all our requirements for a quiet Christmas getaway. We can't say enough to express how beautiful this place was, both inside and out. Location was everything that was advertised, the cottage was cozy, clean and perfect. Hosts responded happily to all inquiries and we felt we were very welcome in their home away from home. A definite go-to-again place.

  • This is a fabulous little gem, in an amazing location. Can't say enough good things about it .... Design and attention to detail are top notch. Clean and bright, perfect for a sunset dinner on either the balcony or the deck. We'll be back for sure ... Hesitate to gush too much more ... 'cause it'll never be available again!

  • We had a great weekend at Mary and Michel's beach cottage. The location was amazing, not far from town but the waterfront views made us feel like we were in our own private retreat. The space is beautiful and Mary was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Would love to visit again!

  • Our stay at The Beach Cottage was relaxing and exactly what we hoped it would be. The pictures are very accurate to the cozy look and feel, but the view and location are even better that what can be captured. The cottage is well equipped, we did most of our meals at "home" and didn't find this difficult at all. We found the neighbours and locals very friendly.

  • Stayed here after our wedding for a couple nights. The view was incredible from every window! Check-in was easy, and communication was prompt. We had a great stay!

This remodeled 1960's Panabode cottage is perched on the banks of a magical creek and at the edge of a deep forest. With views of the Inlet, this spacious cottage is ideal for a romantic getaway or a small gathering of friends and family. This space is in the beautiful village of Tuwanek, famous for its lovely beaches and tranquil living. The cottage is thoughtfully appointed with everything you need. Note: During 2018 access is through 42 steps from the road.
The kitchen is a cook's delight, with fantastic appliances and absolutely everything you need to put together a lovely meal. An herb and vegetable garden are available for you to harvest from during the summer months. The back deck as two-bbqs - a gas and coal - and you get to cook to eat while looking over a rushing creek and waterfall. The bedrooms have very comfortable beds and linens, as well as ample storage if you are planning on a longer stay. Whether you overlook a moss rock-wall, or stare down into the unbelievable old-growth forest behind you, each bedroom is set up to let you have the best sleep you could ever imagine. There are two decks for you to enjoy - the front deck is wonderful for a large meal gathering, or bathing in the morning and afternoon sun. The back deck is a wonderful place to relax on a lounger and sink into a book. There are lots of games and books for you to choose from, and the cozy fireplace makes the living room a lovely place to gather after a day spent exploring the Sunshine Coast.
The village of Tuwanek is approximately 12 km from the town of Sechelt and is situated on the eastern side of Sechelt Inlet at the foot of Mount Richardson. "Tuwanek" is derived from one of the 4 divisions of the Sechelt Nation, located around Narrows Inlet. Coppermoss is located just steps from the Tuwanek Spit beach (rocky), a fantastic place to swim and watch scuba divers launch. Closer to the entrance to Tuwanek is Lamb’s Beach, a lovely, sandy beach which is perfect for spending the day at. Porpoise Bay Provincial Park is 4 km from Sechelt (between here and Tuwanek), and is a fantastic place for a picnic, or to rent kayaks and launch into the inlet. Mount Richardson, Porpoise Bay, Sechelt Inlets Marine and Tetrahedron Provincial Parks, and the Sechelt Band salmon hatchery are nearby.
  • This place is outstanding. If you want relaxing, quiet with outstanding natural beauty, this is the cabin for you. Sadira and Simon are amazing hosts, we felt so at home in their cool classy cabin. All the cooking utensils you could think of with the best sound system I've ever heard, I would highly recommend this beautiful spot to everyone. We will be coming again in the future!

    Yvonne2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! Words can't even describe how amazing Coppermoss Cottage is. We booked our stay when the property was brand new on Air BnB and although the pictures looked great, we were a little worried to book somewhere that had no reviews yet! But the second we pulled up to the picturesque location, steps away from a stunning beach we knew we had no reason to worry. Coppermoss Cottage is beyond expectations. The living space is beautiful, spacious, comfortable and instantly felt like home, the kitchen is well equipped and had all the added extras like coffee, sugar, spices etc. The bathroom could be out of a boutique hotel, the bedrooms are a great size with comfortable beds and the outside space is perfect for family dining or just relaxing and taking in the views. One of the bedroom's looked straight onto the creek and felt like you were sleeping in the middle of the forest. During the day you could open all the windows (which had the mesh on to keep mosquitos and bugs out) and listen to the sounds of nature and water flowing, then at night the the windows were great for keeping all the noise out, I think the cottage had all new windows and doors which made it feel extra safe. There was also ocean views from the living space. I can't say a bad word about Coppermoss Cottage, it was by far our best Air BnB experience! Thank you Sadira for such an amazing trip, we hope to be back again soon.

  • We enjoyed our mini break from the city. The space was great and there were lots of local trails to explore. The wood burning stove kept the place arm and cozy s it poured rain the whole time we were there, but that did not bother us at all. SImon was a great host and made sure we had everything that we needed. We will be back for sure.

    Jennie2017-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful and relaxing spot, it was amazing to be so close to the beach.

    Zoey2018-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place!! Very private and so close to nature and the beach! Our dog loved the morning (short) walks to the beach for swimming and we enjoyed dinners on the patio next to the creek! Would highly recommend this place :)

    Jackie2018-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Very clean and comfortable. Amazing location! I definitely would go back!

    Rosa2018-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really charming cottage. Spacious, light and airy, with lots of individual artwork and books. Cool even on the hottest days. (And I imagine it would be super cosy with the wood burner stove going in Winter!) Lots of lovely outside spaces to sit and relax. Beach across the road to potter about on. The best part is laying in bed with the forest in front of you, listening to the creek babble away. Lots of things to do, we wished we had stayed longer, but we managed to visit Hidden Groves and have a walk amongst the big trees. Kayaking from Pedals and Paddles, we had a guide and they are a lovely friendly company. We made the 30 minute steep walk up to Pender Hill for the most spectacular view from the top. We also enjoyed exploring Smuggler Cove, with an ice-cream from the cafe at Half Moon Bay. We ate out at The Buccaneer and the Wobbly Canoe, and had great meals at both. Also enjoyed a dip in the inlet at Porpoise Bay in the eve when most people had left. Overall, a great stay, would like to come back. The cottage is lovely and thanks to Sadira and Simon for hosting us.

    Caroline2018-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Coppermoss is an outstanding location to take advantage of all of the attractions of the sunshine coast. Our hosts (and the community) provided excellent recommendations and we offer our own - The Lighthouse Pud at sunset, Sharkey's Fish Locker for take out, Smugglers Cove hike, Molley's Reach, The Wobbley Canoe, fresh water swimming at Dan Bosch Regional Park and Garden Bay Lake, Roberts Creek Pier, Skookumchuck Rapids, the rope swing at Chapman's Creek Falls, Mount Daniel (take the difficulty rating seriously), Francis Point hike, Pedal and Paddles for endless hours of kayaking/paddle boarding......... The list goes on - we spent 8 days and could spend many many more. And the accommodation is outstanding - lots of light and space - including an excellent deck to just sit back and enjoy the location.

  • The cottage/property was amazing. We were welcomed with fresh banana bread, and games, toys, and books for our kids. Keitha came out to say hello and provided some great recommendations of places to check out. We couldn't get over how gorgeous Halfmoon Bay was. We found some incredible restaurants nearby in Sechelt and Davis Bay. We did several great hikes (with a 2 and 4 year old) along the Sunshine Coast. Everything in the area is very accessible and easy to get to. We made the most of our time during our three days there and loved coming back in the evenings to Keitha's homey, warm, clean, private cottage. There was plenty of space for the kids to run around and a trampoline to burn some energy. My wife and I highly recommend staying here... Except for days when we hope to return ;)

    Raymond2018-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cabin with everything we needed for our stay, warm and welcoming host, close by trails and parks to keep our dog happy...Highly recommended!

  • The photos do not do this little hidden gem any justice. The indoor space is large, warm, and beautifully decorated. the outdoor space is to die for! Beautifully landscaped, very private, and a dream cabin in the woods! We will be back for sure. For anyone with dogs, this is deal. Lots of space to call your own and a provincial park with off leash trails meters from the cabin. Keitha as humble, helpful and kind! Wish we could rent monthly! Absolutely dreamy getaway!

    Annika2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Keitha's place. The cabin is cozy and well equipped. The outdoor games and fire pit provided endless entertainment. And the welcome card and cookies were an added bonus!

  • Very good place ! Quiet and calm in the middle of the forest ! Very charming cabin !

    Rastoll2017-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the cabin was great. The area was quiet and the place had all the amenities you would need. Netflix was a nice option for evening entertainment. We also had a little plate of biscotti upon arrival. Check in and check out was very easy. I would definitely stay here again.

    Tiffany2017-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Keitha's place on September long and had an absolute blast. Her place was cute, cozy, and super neat. We used the BBQ and took a quick 5 minute drive to the beach + back! Keitha was a great host and made us feel very welcome, she even put up with our chocolate lab pup. Would definitely return again and recommend to couples looking for a great place in Sechelt.

Romantic studio retreat with gorgeous views. Close to beaches, hiking, boating, fishing, whale watching, artisans, restaurants & the best that the Sunshine Coast has to offer. You'll love the privacy, tranquility, views and sunsets. Whales, seals and other sea life are commonly seen off our beach. An unforgettable retreat for couples, adventurers, business travellers, small families and furry friends. In the off-season cozy up to a fire and a complimentary bottle of wine while you storm-watch.
The architecturally designed private coach house/studio in Halfmoon Bay is easily accessible from Redrooffs Road via a short gravel driveway. A set of stairs leads you to a deck with a 10' overhanging roof and a frameless glass rail system, from which you will experience unsurpassed southwest views of Merry Island (and its manned lighthouse) and South Thormanby Island, and, of course, sunsets in the western sky over Vancouver Island. Inside you will find a living room with a modern wood burning fireplace and a leather sleep sofa for you to curl up in when the weather turns stormy. You will also enjoy a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a queen bed, and a large bathroom with a glass shower. Breakfast and a complimentary bottle of wine are provided. The beach can be accessed by a 400 ft. path that leads through a mature west coast forest. (For those with mobility issues, we offer the convenience of a owner-operated tramway to take you down to and up from the beach). A sand spit, which emerges when tides fall to below 3 ft., offers a wonderful opportunity to jog, frolic with your dog, or simply beachcomb and site see. Guests can look for white-sided dolphins and killer, grey and humpback whales as well as seals, otters, herons, eagles and other wildlife from our lot's private seawall or from the many logs that populate the pebble beach. We are a 12 minute drive north of Sechelt and a 20 minute south of Pender Harbour. Golfers will find 3 golf courses within a 25 minute drive. Kayakers and boaters will love the many small coves and other sights around Halfmoon Bay and bikers will love Coast Gravity, a world class park that challenges the best from around the world. Our place is surrounded by excellent hiking trails, provincial parks and beaches. There are many things to do and experience in the area, and we would be happy to assist in planning your stay on the Sunshine Coast.
  • Great place, that feels very secluded with great views through trees of the ocean. Kitchen is great for cooking or its short drive into town. Marc was very welcoming and we were looking for a relaxing weekend and we got exactly what we wanted. Bed was very comfortable, fireplace was a nice touch.

    Eric2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a wonderful getaway at Marc and Kathie’s lovely space. We enjoyed warm evenings down at the beach, a bike ride through the forest, lazing around at Smuggler Cove, and general relaxation. The space itself is perfect for 2 people (and a dog), with great views to the ocean and a large patio for morning coffee. Marc and Kathie and their dog Naya were gracious hosts and provided a nice variety of breakfast foods and a bottle of wine. They gave us lots of privacy but when we did see them on the property they were quick to provide spot-on suggestions and tips for the area. It was just what we needed for a relaxing weekend away!

    Stephanie2018-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Marc is a great guy, remarkably gracious and a generous host. I would say everything is notably better than can be represented by it's "page." If you want a quiet break from everything in a majestic forest and coastal scape, this is a rare beauty. The amenities are great and the space has a very clean open and cozy feel.

    Hamish2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was so amazing. From wine on the deck watching the sunset over the water, to restful sleeps on a comfy bed, to the coffee and basic breakfast items waiting for us in the fridge, to warm fireplace hangouts; we loved everything about the place. The fact that Marc made sure we had everything we needed was just icing on the cake. More people need to have dog-friendly places that are as clean and nice as this offering- we were super impressed, and our dogs loved every minute too.

    Jessica2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was a beautiful home and the hosts were very gracious and welcoming. Myself, sister, brother, sister-in-law and baby all stayed here for the weekend. The view was spectacular and we spent most of the weekend either enjoying it from the deck or a short walk down to the beach. Very relaxing and quite area. Would highly recommend this place for a nice getaway. Thank you for being such lovely hosts. We will see you again in the future I'm sure. Cheers!

  • Beautiful spot! Breathtaking views!

    Alison2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Marc was a wonderful host. He greeted us to get us settled and even had some breakfast items and a bottle of wine for us! He had lots of suggestions of things to do in the area, and was very hospitable - he gave us a ride in his tramway from the beach back to our place as we had a tired toddler and dog. He even gave me a call when there was a bear spotted in the area to make sure we were safe! The place was very cozy with a spectacular view. The fireplace was a nice bonus as we were there in October. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The amazing aforementioned Sargeants Bay, as well as, many hiking trials and awesome swimming at Trout Lake just up the highway.
  • Shaina’s place is a great ‘home away from home’ when visiting the Sunshine Coast. Halfmoon Bay is a good base to explore many of the provincial parks. The house is in a wonderfully quiet neighbourhood with the birds chirping happily away outside. If you need to recharge do it here, the minimalist style helps you transition into feeling ‘unplugged’.

    Lynsey2018-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • It looked like we were the very first guests and we really enjoyed our stay. The house is very nice, just like in the pictures and lies in a very quiet neighborhood. It's got a nice garden in front of it, where we even watched hummingbirds, our 1 year old son loved it. There was everything we needed and completely new and clean, just for the internet, which didn't work yet. We didn't get to meet Shaina&Tom, but conversation was always very prompt and easy and they even left us some nice little things. The next beach is quickly reached by car at Sargeans Bay Park but there are lots of other cool things to do within about 20min drive, like canoeing at Tuwanek, walking around at Smugglers Cove or having a cafe at halfmoon bay cafe.

    Johanna2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • This cozy cabin is such a cute and spacious place to stay! Me and my friend enjoyed every minute of it because we were close to the water and it was in a super quiet neighborhood! The beach is close by as well as lots of parks. We ended up taking the ferry to Powell River for the day, which I highly recommend. Overall, it's an amazing, super clean, and spacious place to stay!!

  • Garth was a great host! My partner and I had such a relaxing stay and really enjoyed our time on the farm. I would highly recommend this cabin for any couple looking to get away. Everything was very clean, comfortable and effortless. Garth and his partner were wonderful hosts and we really enjoyed admiring all his incredible music memorabilia. We will most definitely be back.

  • Great host, stylish, thoughtful touches. Had serene R&R.

    Karen2018-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Garth's place was very unique and cozy, and exceptionally clean! It was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle - just what we needed! Huge plus was being able to bring our dog with us, and Garth's dog Cooper made great company as well. Very welcoming host - we only saw him once during our stay and made sure we knew to reach out to him if there was anything we needed. Will definitely look to stay here again the next time we are in Gibsons!

    Adrienne2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location, very close to ferry and shops but secluded for a private getaway. We brought our two dogs and they were warmly welcomed by the hosts and Cooper! We loved the cabin and it's furnishings and it is even more cozy and tasteful than in photos. Garth is very responsive and checked with us regularly to make sure other guests weren't too loud during our stay. The dogs had a blast every day and this was what we appreciated the most. It's so hard to find vacation homes that can accomodate multiple dogs. We plan to be back next year with a bigger group and rent two of Garth's properties (there are 3 different sized cabins on the property).

    Sheila2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Garth’s place was absolutely lovely to stay in! Garth responds quickly and efficiently to all communication which helped with planning our stay. When we forgot a couple items, Garth offered to mail them over, so above and beyond what’s expected! The place was decorated with amazing rock paraphernalia from Garth’s day’s working in the recording industry. The bedrooms are just gorgeous and we definitely took advantage of the access to the hot tub! Also a gorgeous dog on the property we all loved making friends with! We felt like rock stars! Thank you so much Garth we can’t wait to stay with you again :)

    Nour2018-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our weekend getaway. I had a wish to have a weekend away in the trees for my birthday and that wish was more than met with Garth’s lovely cabin. The bedroom was so lovely to wake up to the bright greenery and the sound of rain. The hot tub was the prefect way to relax after a hike. Garth made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend to others.

  • As mentioned before, the neighbour is working on his house which at times causes noise. It bothered me a couple of times when I was trying to have a quiet read on the upper deck in that very rare moment the kids didn't need me, however, the neighbour was super friendly and had communicated it to us upon arrival.

  • With the driving info from David, it was easy to find the home. It looks a bit old from the outside, but it's a surprise when we entered into the house, it's really a beautiful stylish log home. Lots of cutleries, towels, video and board games. We enjoyed a lot when staying there. Would recommend this beautiful home to my friends with no doubt.

    Winnie 2017-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • David was the perfect host- very attentive and quick to respond to any question or minor concern we had. We had groups of family and friends staying with us over our 19 day stay. The cabin was laid out better than we envisioned. The downstairs is it's own separate space with the home theatre unit and a fold-open futon couch. It has it's own bathroom and kitchen. There is also a room with a bed for 2 (King? Queen? Not sure). So if you have another couple or small family staying, you can give them their own space. Everybody wins. The upstairs master bedroom is lovely with lofted ceilings and it's own "ensuite" deck. The main floor is very spacious and with separate rooms for toilet and shower/bath which is another very convenient factor for larger groups. The main deck off the living room is very spacious and can seat 8 comfortably. The BBQ is new and high quality. We had most of our meals on the deck. There is a kayak rental place just 5 minutes away and it's quick and easy to drive into Sechelt. A perfect spot for the conclusion of our summer. We crafted some very nice memories here. Thanks David! We hope to return. Brian

  • Great place for five ladies to have a weekend getaway even though it was pouring. Very comfy. Enjoyed the fireplace and quiet location and great views from upstairs lift bedroom

  • Dave's place is great and was perfect for our family thanksgiving get-together (four generations and lots of room)! Beautiful scenery with lots to do and see (even a black bear that wondered through the yard a couple times!) Beds were comfy and the amenities great. We did a lot of cooking for the family with no problems (although there is no oven just to note; we brought a slow cooker for the turkey). Spent one sunny day on the water with kayaks from Pedals n Paddles from just up the road; great value and the highlight of the trip. Highly recommend Dave's place for any Sunshine Coast adventure.

  • My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay at Jonathan's cabin. It is so cozy and in such a peaceful setting. I would highly recommend this cabin to all I know! It has all the comforts and more you would want for a relaxing getaway!

    Liz2015-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is well equipped, bedding and bed so nice, towels, housecoats, plastic wine glasses and cups for hot tub and privacy of hot tub made it perfect. Best sleeps ever. Espresso machine, beans and cream-o there for our use, lucky us because we love good coffee! Jonathan was always attentive to any requests, offered suggestions for places to dine, spa treatments down the road, rentals from pedals and paddles. Porpoise Bay Provincial Park good spot to watch the sunset and be on a sandy beach. We ate at Wobbly Canoe and Lighthouse Pub, both Jonathan's suggestions and both excellent. We would go back.

    Deb2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • The scuba shack was a great stay. Would highly recommend it to any body looking for a peaceful escape from the city. Super warm and cozy absolutely everything was well thought out.

  • Jonathan's listing of the cottage is completely accurate. You will have everything you need at the cottage. Just bring yourself, drinks, food and your bathing suit and you'll have a great time! We took advantage of the Pedals and Paddles discount and the discount at The Waters Edge Spa as well.

  • This place was great for our family getaway. It has everything you can think of, making our trip with two small kids a breeze. The fire pit was great for smores at night and hot tub was a great way to relax. The beds were unbelievably comfortable. There was a private sandy beach just a short walk away. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing spot on the sunshine coast.

    Dannielle2018-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to get away for a few days. It is set on a hillside, and although there are other cottages above and below, the deck looks out on a forested area. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable. We found everything from a waffle maker to a high end expresso machine. The hot tub has its own private deck and we really enjoyed a morning and evening soak. Sechelt is a beautiful location and Jonathan's cottage is the perfect choice as a base to explore the region.

Lower Gibsons is a 5 minute drive and there you will find the new Gibson's Public Market and many fine shops, cafe's and restaurants. Hough road joins up with two popular walking trails. The south end leads to a field and an elementary school with a new playground and the north end leads to Kearton trail. Hough Road connects to a network of trails that lead to the beach (Secret Beach and Bonniebrook Beach are a 20 min walk) and Gospel Rock with stunning views of Howe Sound and surrounding islands. Being on agricultural farmland we have several farmer's markets nearby and are a short walk to Pratt Farm market stand.
  • Raquel is a wonderful host with a kind heart. The work and love she puts into her hobby farm is evident and she did everything possible to make our stay wonderful. The space is quaint and cute and provides an authentic 'farm' experience with animals right outside our door complete with fresh eggs provided in the morning.

    Tyler2016-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing stay at the cabin. Nicely situated just outside of Gibsons provided easy access to trails and town for exploring. The cabin was very well equipped and beautifully laid out to provide multiple spaces to sit, eat and relax. Racquel was a wonderful host who took care of our every need and made us all feel very welcome. I would highly recommend Hough Farm and look forward to visiting again!

  • Our stay was exactly what we were looking for and what was advertised. Couldn’t have been better. We’ll certainly be back!!

    Chris2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Raquel's cabin is by far the best Airbnb we've stayed in so far! The cabin was just like how it's described in the listing and more. And Raquel is an amazing and informative hostess. Everything was well stocked and all the appliances available were very useful. We especially loved feeding the pigs dog biscuits and waking up to watch the piglets and baby ducks play. The cabin made our first visit to the Sunshine Coast very memorable!

    Judy2018-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfection! The location is amazing - minutes to town but so quiet and peaceful. The space is fantastic, so cozy and comfortable and easily one of the best equipped places we've stayed. Raquel is also ridiculously sweet and inviting and the 3 week old piglets didn't hurt either! We can't wait to go back :)

    Vicki2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a terrific 2 night stay at Houghton Heritage Farm. The cabin was clean, bright, comfortable and amazingly well appointed. Frankly more mod cons than we have at home! Raquel is friendly, very welcoming , clear spoken and a tremendously generous host. She took time to answer all our questions about the animals. We also greatly enjoyed being right in the midst of a working farm. And bonus to be there when the sow dropped her litter of 10 little piglets in the woods. Wow! Highly recommended!

    Olivia2018-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Farmyard Paradise! We could not have had a more enjoyable weekend at Raquel’s farm. Her thoughtful attention to every single detail made the weekend really special. Our kids were completely entranced by all of the farm animals and are already asking to go back for another weekend!

    Spring2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Hough Farm is a little slice of heaven. Come and commune on a working farm and get to know pigs, goats , geese, turkeys and chickens up close and personal. Raquel is a wonderful host who knows a lot about the area. We had some great hikes at her suggestion and truly enjoyed our stay on her farm. This is the place to get back in touch with nature and we highly recommend it. The cabin is cozy and well appointed with anything you could need from toiletries to kitchen supplies. Just bring yourself!

  • Anyone in greater Vancouver should consider this cottage as their getaway. A short ferry to Gibson's, a short 20 minute or so drive up the highway and you are at a beautiful, seaside cottage. Every amenity you could need for less than a hotel room. My wife and I will return many times.

    Aaron2017-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • The place is great - fully equipped, clean, super comfortable sofa bed in living room (on top of the one in bedroom) and the hosts are wonderful and super helpful. Just be aware of the fact that it is right on the main road of the island.

    Gilly2018-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • The layout inside and outside are spacious and fabulous, and it was a breeze to make meals using the kitchen or outside grill. There truly is a grand view from the hot tub, which came in handy after sea kayaking. Central location as a base to the entire Sunshine Coast. Stores are 5 minutes away.

  • Bluewaters Cottage is a lovely, clean, cozy cottage. The hot tub was awesome! Close drive to Davis Bay, Porpoise Bay and town. The cottage is very close to the main road so I can hear the cars driving by however at night the traffic lessens so it's ok. But if you are sensitive to noise or wants to nap in the afternoon please bring earplugs. The cottage has a great view of the water. There is a binocular you can use to just look at the boats. The kitchen is complete with cooking utensils. The bed and linens are comfortable. And of course the hosts are wonderful - they are warm, welcoming and friendly!

  • Lovely stay on the Sunshine Coast! The view from the cottage and the hot tub really is spectacular, and the location is very central to all the activities you want to enjoy while visiting. Thank you Sherry and Wayne for sharing your cottage with us!

    Riley2018-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was dreamy...well appointed and thoughtful decor, calming white and blue throughout with nautical touches, lovely photos on the walls. Crisp curtains, fluffy towels and a cozy wrap to cuddle up on the couch. The bed was so inviting and comfy. The kitchen was well equipped and terrific for my mini-meal prep, late morning breakfasts and wine and cheese in the evenings as I watched the sun set with the front door wide open and the sea breeze billowing through. The view was spectacular. The location was excellent and easy access to the shops, the beach and the nearby trails. Small details like wine when I arrived and fragrant lilacs in the living room meant so much to me (thank you). You were gracious and welcoming hosts! The house manual was very helpful and full of great suggestions of restaurants and shops, parks, beaches and other local specialties.

We're located in the tranquil neighbourhood of Tuwanek, a ten minute drive alongside Sechelt Inlet from the town of Sechelt. Very private, the only views are of ocean, forest, and mountain. Five minute walk to two quiet beaches.
Completed in 2010, the quality of workmanship throughout this custom built home includes premier fir wood finish on all window and door trim and baseboards, the deck is covered and framed with posts and railings of fir, the exterior is wrapped with old growth cedar which has a furniture-like finish, and pine ceilings throughout the house. This all gives the place a truly woodsy yet luxurious feeling.
  • Three adults, an infant, and a dog enjoyed a wonderful week at Don and Mary’s beautiful cabin. The cabin is beautifully designed with large windows to take in the view and heated floors that keep the place very comfortably warm. We also enjoyed fires in the wood stove and daily hot chocolates on the fantastic covered deck, even in the rain. The kitchen had all the pans, utensils, and dishes that we needed. The cabin is well-located for mini-explorations of the area. Our favourite spots included Cliff Gilker Park, Smugglers Cove, Francis Point, the Gumboot Cafe, and the Halfmoon Bay Cafe. Altogether, we had a excellent experience on this trip.

    Kathleen2018-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a nice get-away at Don and Mary's cabin in the woods. The cabin is a newly constructed small home with many creature comforts - especially loved the heated floors and vaulted ceilings and yes, dimmer switches to create the perfect ambiance. Seems like a small detail but it is so often overlooked. Place was exactly as described and we'd recommend it for those looking for a close to Vancouver get-away from it all. Certainly this is not your average "cabin". Thanks Don and Mary!

    Don2016-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Don and Mary's Loghouse is a peaceful place that exudes warmth and calm. The high ceilings, many windows, heated floors, open concept, well equipped kitchen all made our family getaway special. Don was helpful and responded quickly. Tuwanek and surrounding areas has much to offer. Definitely worth it!

    Nasreen2017-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Place is really gorgeous. Although there are houses around the neighborhood is incredibly quiet and the house feels secluded. There is beach access a short walk from the house. Sechelt is only a 15 minute drive away and has all necessary amenities, including a great fish market (called Fish Market). Don and Mary were great hosts and easily accessible by text. Do note that you need to take a ferry from Vancouver to get to the Sunshine Coast (most travelers would be aware of this, but I hadn't done that research.. regardless it was a beautiful ferry ride!)

    Philip2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Close to a beach access point! Perfect for what we needed.

    Enoth2018-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Don and Mary's cottage is the perfect stay for a weekend away. For people traveling from the city, it is literally pitch black at night and the only sound is of the distant frogs croaking--very tranquil. We were just two and our dog, but the cottage could comfortably sleep six. Kitchen is very well stocked with almost everything you would need. The oven didn't get quite hot enough to bake a pizza. Please be wary of you're trying to bake.

    Daniel2015-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Don & Mary were great, they organized the cabin for us at the last minute. The cabin was comfortable with great sound and satellite TV facilities and a great balcony. Great pub and kayaking nearby... well worth a stay.

  • We had a fabulous weekend in this beautiful cottage. It was fully equiped which was great as we even cooked our thanks giving meal here!. A home away from home, Don and Mary have a beautiful cottage, a real gem to find. The pictures do not do it justice! Thank you for a great stay!

Creekside cottage is steps from a lovely beach. The cabin sits in a magical and tranquil setting surrounded by sea, creek and forest. Creekside is perfect for either couples or families.
The Creekside Cottage is located in the scenic splendor of the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia. This completely private self-contained waterfront cottage can become your own private retreat. The cabin is cozy enough for that romantic getaway for two, as you relax in your own hot tub under the stars. The cottage is also big enough for family adventure! With three bedrooms, an open, well-stocked kitchen, dining and sitting area with fireplace, the cottage is spacious enough to accommodate the entire family. There is a waterfront spa around the corner at the Tuwanek Hotel for you parents and a pirate ship complete with treasure for the kids.
The Community of Tuwanek and Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast of BC The Tuwanek community on the Sunshine Coast is located on the eastern side of Sechelt Inlet at the foot of Mount Richardson. The name is derived from one of the original four "septs" (division of the Sechelt Nation) located around Narrows Arm. The area still retains a cottage 'feeling', with many of the homes, cottages and B&B's overlooking Sechelt Inlet. Tuwanek is the eastern gateway to the Tetrahedron Plateau and Provincial Park. The park is great for summer hiking and walking as well as snow shoeing, cross country skiing and winter activities. In the summer the area is know for it's cute cozy cottages that meander along the shorelines. It is a favorite getaway for cottage owners and tourists alike who long for the peaceful quiet relaxation. The envy of many, about 50% of the area is now home to full time residents which are able to enjoy the beauty of the area year round. Located at the end of the road, this residential cottage community is the starting point for some of the most beautiful Sea Kayaking in the world. The Sechelt Inlet Marine Parks are just a short ten minute paddle and there are 9 locations on the Sechelt Inlet with numerous areas to explore. Be sure to pack out any garbage as these marine parks are boat access only and many are only serviced a few times per year. Most have fresh water drinking creeks but in the summer months when flows are low you should either pack water in with you, or make sure you have a good filtration system. Each of the marine parks has outhouse facilities and many have food hangers. Please be respectful of the local neighbors and the tranquility of the area.
  • We had a fantastic stay at the cabin with our 6 months old daughter and loved the outdoor space (the view!) and the cosy interior complete with a wood burning fireplace and comfy beds. What a wonderful place, perfect to unplug for a weekend while enjoying all the amenities. Kitchen had everything we needed and more, and the pirate ship in the garden was a definite highlight :)

    Kathrin2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Creekside Cottage was the perfect BC family getaway -- quiet, beautiful, full of kid- and adult-friendly amenities and thoughtful touches. The hot tub and outdoor spaces were comfortable and plentiful, and the views from the property and nearby walks and parks are beautiful. The creek running through the property is lovely and adds a pleasant ambiance, especially at night. The kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms are well-appointed and comfortable. There are lots of books and toys to keep kids entertained, and our eight-year-old son loved the pirate playhouse. It's very tech-friendly and you could work there if necessary. I highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a fantastic getaway on the Sunshine Coast. Thanks, Kate!

    Rebecca2018-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Kate's cabin was all a group of three friends looking to escape Vancouver for a long weekend could ask for. We appreciated walking into a stylish, clean cabin with woodstove running. Will without out doubt stay again. Thank you, Will

    Will2018-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a gorgeous place!! Our trip to Creekside was absolutley perfect and we couldn't be more thankful to Kate for everything. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the hot tub was a welcome treat, the place was spotless, and the board game selection was out of this world! We had so many good laughs and would definitely come back here again. Book this place and you won't be disappointed!! Oh... And did I mention the view? Absolutley stunning!

    Rosanna2018-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic in every respect. The place was super rustic and charming. Fireplace was amazing (and lit when we arrived!) as was the hot tub. Lovely, quiet neighbourhood. There is a little creek in the yard you can hear from the bedroom. Ocean right across the street and viewable from all the windows. Skylights everywhere. Modern appliances that worked well. Super clean. Check in effortless. Kate has really thought of everything, down to the bluetooth speakers. Strongest possible recommendation.

    Trevor2018-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great. Kate was very responsive and accommodating. The cabin is fantastic. It’s cozy with an amazing view. We would absolutely stay again. Thanks!

  • We have stayed at Creekside Cottage twice now and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, fun stay on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. It is especially and uniquely suited to families looking for an easy getaway from the city. Thank you, Kate!

    Rebecca2018-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Creekside cabin was one of our favourite places we've ever stayed. The location was so secluded, we often felt like we were the only ones in the area. The beach is literally across the road and was great to go on short walks to. The creek beside the cabin was so lovely and the sound added to the peaceful ambience. We spent every night soaking in the hot tub and mornings sitting at the table amazed by the view. The house was well appointed with anything you could ever want! We love to cook and were happy to find all the supplies we needed as well as a great BBQ. The pirate ship was also enjoyed by all! Definitely not just for kids. We're already planning another trip back because we loved it so much!! Thanks so much.

  • We had an amazing stay at Gary and Sheila’s. The views were stunning and the guest house was well-appointed and exactly as pictured. Even though it’s only a short drive to Gibsons, we enjoyed spending a lot of our stay on the balcony taking in the epic views and barbecuing on the brand new grill. Gary and Sheila are very friendly and kind hosts. We cannot wait to come back.

    Kara2018-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Gary and Sheila’s was a great place to relax for a few days. It is off the beaten track, about 15 minutes drive from Lower Gibsons, so you really get the quiet and serenity. The farther location is worth it for the absolutely breathtaking view! A beautiful spot to take in the scenery - we even saw whales! There is also a small beach on the property which you can walk down to. The cottage is newly renovated and has all the amenities you could need. They even left us some fresh muffins :) The cottage is detached from their main home but is right next door in case you need anything. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend!!

    Cassie2018-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a gem for relaxing and being inspired. Gary and Shelia were amazing hosts and made us feel like family. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to unwind, drink a little wine, and play your favorite music. The views are even better than the photos.

    Jeff2018-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay! It's about a 10min drive from the ferry terminal and 15min to Gibsons. Sheila and Gary have thought about everything for their guests and when I mentioned that I'm inexperienced with the gas BBQ they went out of their way and got us an indication cooktop! It's also an ideal place to watch the wildlife: we've seen hummingbirds, elk, chipmunks and different kinds of birds. Sometimes there are even whales and dolphins visiting the bay. Will come back for sure!!!

    Silvia2018-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Gary and Sheila, and their private guest cottage, are absolutely amazing. The space itself is beautiful, the view is gorgeous, and the rooms were spotlessly clean. A true home away from home!

    Lawson2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a gem! Spectacular hosts and scenery, close to Gibsons & the Ferry —but you won’t want to leave the cottage...super comfy bed and a spa like bathroom, heated concrete floors, peace and quiet—and of course there’s the view! We can’t wait to go back. Sheila and Gary are thoughtful and generous hosts—it’s really lovely. Libby & Paul

    Libby2018-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place was so much more than we expected. The setting is absolutely gorgeous - be sure to buy groceries etc in town before you come, as you won’t want to leave once you see the view. The furnishings and amenities felt like a 5* lodge. Gary and Sheila were great hosts and very helpful. Small touches like fresh fruit and bread & milk were much appreciated. We only stayed for 2 nights, next time we will definitely stay longer!

    Sonja2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our stay at Sheila and Gary’s cottage. They warmly greeted us on our arrival, and made us feel extra pampered with the bottle of delicious wine and decadent pastry – thank you so much!!! The cottage is quiet, immaculately clean and spacious with stunning views of Howe Sound - a perfect place to recharge and relax. It was difficult to want to go anywhere but stay inside or on the patio and enjoy the views and sun.

  • What a wonderful spot - so peaceful and great views over the sea. Sadly no sunset or sunrise with too much cloud but can imagine they are amazing. Lily and her husband made us very welcome and Lily cooked a great breakfast for us. Definitely would recommend this Airbnb.

  • Amazing getaway with gorgeous view! Lily and Robert are very welcoming hosts and your stay will be really enjoyable. Spotless and comfortable cabin, delicious breakfast on the deck, great chat with amazing hosts!

  • Nice place on a great property. Rob and Lilly allowed us to hang out in their beautiful garden overlooking the ocean. A delicious breakfast included!

    Hannah2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you, Lily and Rob, for your gracious welcome, the spotless accommodation, the super-comfy beds, the yummy breakfast, and the helpful tips for local hiking! We also loved the beautiful and tranquil sea-side setting in Half Moon Bay -- an easy drive to Sechelt yet secluded and quiet. We look forward to our next visit.

    Nancy2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed 3 nights along with our 11 and 13 year old boys and found Lily's guest house to be clean, quiet and relaxing. Having full access to the amazing views and fresh sea breeze out front of the main cabin was definitely a highlight. The description and photos are accurate and BBQing out on the main deck while looking out over the water added a enjoyable 'camping' feel to our visit. If you like gardening you will have lots to take in while on this beautifully maintained property. Good value for the money.

    Liisa2016-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lily and Ron were exceptional hosts, serving greats breakfasts, chatting amiably in the garden, lighting fires for us, and showing us around their property. The cabin was private, clean, comfortable and cozy. Our best AirBnB experience so far.

    Garth2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with breathtaking views. Very friendly and nothing was too much for Lily. The cabin was very comfortable and so quiet. The breakfasts were extremely filling and tasty. Highly recommend this accommodation.

My place is close to the beach, great views, art and culture, parks, trails systems, good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. This cabin has a long history of Tibetan inhabitants , teachings, Rinpoches, singers and dancers, filmmakers, writers and other artists. It is super quiet fragrance and smart meter free though it has wifi that can be disabled.. has an available bicycle and helmet and a wood fired sauna in a separate building. Also there is a barbeque.
a new hand made queen sized bed with an organic latex mattress for the loft!! Thanks Benjamin for bring that to my attention. Lots of wildlife are on the property most days, spotted fawns and their moms this time of year..a small bear, raccoons, loads of birds, eagles, ravens crows, towhees, flickers, nuthatches, chickadees, Stellars Jays..and tons of (Website hidden by Airbnb) is quiet in the cabin but it is not isolated in the middle of nowhere. This is a rural neighbourhood with lots 1/2 acre or more.
There are lovely beaches walking distance and trails. I can provide information about directions and descriptions of my favourites and there is a book of trails and beaches in the cabin.
  • Charming and comfy stay! Baeleay is a wonderful host: tips for local walks including best beaches for sunrise, sunset and moonrise. We also loved the yummy treats you left for us and she went the extra mile To find some vegan goodies for my daughter - thanks, and we hope to see you again!

    Kristina2018-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent, excellent, excellent!! Everything was perfect, relaxing, and exactly what we needed. Highly recommend this cabin to anyone traveling the Sunshine Coast!

    Kim2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cabin! Exactly as pictured. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook three memorable dinners. It's great to have a wood stove. Baeleay is a wonderful host and had pre-supplied the cabin with pastries and was even helpful enough to loan us some olive oil that we didn't pick up on our shopping trip. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

    Peter2018-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Baeleays cabin is wonderful! Very cosy, but plenty of room. We loved the way it was tucked away in the trees, and we all slept amazingly well. In the morning we woke up to families of deer wandering through the property. Baeleay was very quick to respond to all my messages, offered us tips on the area, and left us plenty of delicious snacks to get us started. There's several beaches within walking distance and a general store from the cabin. We'd definitely recommend staying here.

    Laura2018-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Baeleay was great. The cabin was exactly what we expected from the pictures and was exactly what we wanted for the weekend. The cabin is thoughtfully and beautifully designed, and has everything you need for a relaxing few nights away from home. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

    Karly2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Baeleay’s place was exactly what we were looking for. A beautiful, relaxing, cabin in the woods. It was bigger than we expected. Baeleay was a kind and accommodating host. Great communication, both in person and via message. She made a special trip to the bakery and stocked the kitchen with yummy treats. Thanks for everything, we really appreciate it!

    Jelena2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay here. Remember to get a map of the area because there is so much to explore.

    Alison2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is in a great location slightly off the beaten path right behind the owner's house, surrounded by trees. The owner does have a fragrance free policy. I walked down to the coast in about 15 or 20 minutes. And a 10 minute drive to Sechelt. We enjoyed drinking and eating the provided muffins and coffee on the deck each morning. Keep in mind it is a loft bedroom. We enjoyed our stay.

  • This was an amazing, comfortable and enjoyable stay. We enjoyed the hot tub with view of the ocean and eagles soaring overhead. The cottage has absolutely everything you need and is close to all the shopping and restaurants in the very cute town on the Sunshine Coast. • We had the most wonderful stay at such a beautiful, uniquely made wooden cabin. The cabin was so clean and tidy, we felt at home as soon as we walked in. Its nice and close to the main shopping section of the island and is in close proximity to the lakes for kayaking and fun activities. We had the most relaxing sleep and are still dreaming of the nights stay. Reg is very flexible, is very accommodating and is a very kind person especially for us first time air bnbers. I recommend this beautiful cabin to anyone who would like to have a cozy, homie getaway.

  • Reg was super friendly and helped us feel at home. Thanks for the local tips! Place is very cozy interior with tonnes of firewood for extra warmth. Very quiet and felt like we had great privacy. There is a short gravel walkway from the parking lot to the cabins. and all cabins have a flight of stairs to the entrance. Easy access to the sunshine coast highway makes for a very central location. Enjoy this beautiful cabin, designed for comfort, and only a few steps from Davis Bay and Sechelt, BC. Whether you need an escape from the city, you're on a business trip, or you're coming to explore the rugged coastlines and quaint towns of the Sunshine Coast, this space offers everything you need to relax and enjoy your time away.
The space has been designed for your comfort. The bedroom has a king-size bed with a bay window overlooking a sprawling green yard and second growth cedar trees. There is a walk-in closet off the bedroom and 4 piece bathroom down the hall. On rainy days, you can relax on the sleeper couch (pullout double bed) and browse the 'Apple TV'-equipped 58" television. The open-concept dining area features a solid mango wood table, and a fully equipped kitchen with a maple slab island. The large porch has everything you need for entertaining, including two tables and enough seating for numerous guests. The yard is very large with room enough for kids to play sports. Davis bay beach is no more than a 3-minute walk. Enjoy sunsets on the beach, or a day in the sun sitting next to the 'salmon-bearing' Chapman Creek estuary. I am happy to hear feedback on the space, and provide new amenities even during your stay. I am very committed to making your experience the best possible.
There are two separate suites in this cabin with separate entrances. The cabin is right off the main highway leading directly to Sechelt from Gibsons. People come to the coast to relax. The Sunshine Coast is special for its beauty, quaintness, and easy access from Vancouver. The sea breeze, coastal views and tall trees put you under their spell on the ferry over, but then the inviting communities of Gibsons, Roberts Creek, Sechelt and others, make you feel at home. It's easy to come over, but hard to leave. Davis Bay is a quaint little coastal community that runs along the seashore on the drive up the coast. In fact, it is the longest stretch of shoreline access from the road that you'll find on the Sunshine Coast. The beach is ideal to walk along, with a handful of cafes, restaurants and a long wooden pier, to visit during a casual walk. Davis bay is also the ideal Sunshine coast adventure hub, not too far from walking trails and golf courses in Gibsons, Roberts Creek and Sechelt, and not too far from the more rugged outdoor appeal of Halfmoon Bay, Smugglers Cove and Madiera Park. Enjoy paddling boarding or kayaking in the ocean, or swimming at one of the numerous warm inland lakes. The Sunshine Coast has it all.
  • Modern styled fully equipped cabin in a great location. The space was super clean and comfortable with a wonderful sunny deck. Branden was extremely responsive and ensured we wanted for nothing.

  • Great, comfortable cabin for a getaway. Clean and luxurious. All the amenities you could need, including some fun games the host thoughtfully supplied. Took us about 7 and a half minutes to walk to the beach at Davis Bay. The place did get a tad warm but by opening windows and having a fan on it was a comfortable tempature but then you would hear a bit of road noise. A great spot.

  • Branden is a very friendly host and has a great taste concerning decorating his apartment. The apartment is very well equipped, super clean and close to the supermarket and the beach. Only the highway was a little noisy. Nevertheless we had a very pleasant stay at his place.

  • Branden's place near Davis Bay was charming and in a fantastic location. We found the space very comfortable and unique with great features like the skylight, the deck, and a selection of local interest reading materials. Branden provided very detailed instructions in advance and was responsive to messages that we sent during our stay. The location near Davis Bay was great for the beach, going to the Sechelt farmer's market, and exploring other locations around the Sunshine Coast.
