Immaculate Cape Cod-Inspired Spencer House in Sandwich

We are only a few steps away from an excellent array of delicious restaurants, cosy pubs, churches (climb the tower for stunning views), coffee shops, upmarket and quirky boutiques, delis, a variety of country river walks and 2 world class championship golf courses which make up beautiful Sandwich, one of the Cinque ports. Dog-friendly Sandwich bay is only a 5 minute drive for beach-lovers. Situated on a very quiet residential pedestrianised road, the cottage comfortably sleeps 5 in 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a sumptuous superkingsize bed which can be split into 2 singles if required – just state at time of booking. There is also a double bedroom and a single. The beds are extremely comfortable. The beautiful sun catching and very secluded courtyard, with seating for 5 is overhung with wisteria, jasmine, lavender and roses – a treat for your senses and a lovely spot to unwind after a day at the beach. Relax in the lounge with large 4K UHD smart TV (Netflix included) and high speed wifi. The brand new kitchen is immaculate and well equipped. There is a microwave, good sized fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier, in-tap filtered water and waste disposal as well as a feature butler sink. The dining room also comfortably seats 6. Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome. There is an additional charge of £12 per dog per night and we provide a stairgate to prevent access to the first floor. Guest access We provide a free parking pass for Zone J street parking close by and the town Hal car park which is 3 minutes walk away. You have sole use of the entire property and the courtyard garden. Fast trains from London take less than 90 minutes and Sandwich station is a 10 minute walk from the cottage. The Eurotunnel terminal with trains to France (35 minutes duration) and ferries from Dover to Calais are only 16 miles away. City airport is a 60 minute drive away and Gatwick airport is a 90 minute drive. We will be contactable by phone and email for the duration of your stay. We live just an hour away and have a key holder in Sandwich in case of any emergencies. Spencer House is located in a quiet pedestrian street in the center of the historic town of Sandwich. This beautiful medieval town is renowned for its many restaurants, pubs, and cafes. The Royal St George’s Golf Club is a short drive away and the beach at Sandwich Bay is just under two miles away. Edit Sandwich is ideally and centrally placed for visits to all the historic sites, coastal towns, nature reserves and beautiful beaches in East Kent: Canterbury, Deal, Whitstable, Dover, Hythe, Ramsgate, Margate, Herne Bay, Folkestone and Broadstairs can be accessed by car in under 30 minutes. There is a good local bus service and taxi company. We provide a parking pass which allows guests to park in Car Parks and Roads displaying the Zone J designation. There is plenty of this type of parking close to the house. The Parking pass must be clearly displayed in your car. If the pass is not left at the house after your stay we will have to charge £90.00 for a replacement. You can unload close to the house. You have sole use of the entire property and the courtyard garden.

Built circa 1800, refurbished circa 2014, The Old Potting Shed is a cosy, self contained detached ensuite annexe. Situated in our a garden, it's in a village location, 15 mins from Canterbury & Dover, 15 mins from the Kent coast, close to the medieval Cinque Port of Sandwich. We are proud Superhosts and aim to ensure guests have a great experience and comfortable stay. Unfortunately our accommodation is not suitable for children or pets. We look forward to welcoming you!

Located 5 minutes walk away from the White Cliffs of Dover, the granary is a converted timber frame building set in the garden of a 16th century Kentish farmhouse and 1 km away from the beautiful seaside village of St Margaret's-at-Cliffe.
