Palmoli welcomes you with its ancient charme and its features of a traditional medieval "borgo". Our holiday apartment in the heart of this lovely village is the perfect place for daytrips to beaches and mountains or just for diving into the slow paced life of a South Italian village.

The apartment consists in a spacious bedroom with queensize bed (160x200), a living room with kitchenette (gas hobs, microwave, espresso coffee machine, fridge), balcony, tv and daybed, and a bathroom with vanity, shower, bidet and toilet. All rooms have windows facing southeast with a view of the surrounding hillside. Well suitable for families, couples and singles. Further baby and toddler gear (crib, high chair etc.) we can provide on request of our guests (in advance).

The Apartment is situated in the heart of Palmoli, a friendly and very original village in the "Alto Vastese" in Abruzzo, the countryside about 25 km away from the "costa dei trabocchi", the unspoiled Abruzzo coastline. Right in the neighbourhood you can find a caffe bar (Il Grottino), a tiny old grocery shop, a fruit and veg shop (fruttivendolo) as well as a butcher (macelleria) and baker (panificio). Palmoli has a stunning village park with playground and a panoramic view up to the snow covered Maiella, a medieval castle which nowadays hosts a little museum and a Ristorante Pizzeria (Bar in Villa) where you can enjoy great pizzas and traditional South Italian Food (evenings).

The house is part of the medieval part of the town, quiet and sparsely inhabited but among the few inhabitants there is a vital grandmother of 103 years!

Situated in a very friendly area where people are happy to speak even if your Italian is not very good. The house has everything you needed except fridge but not a problem if buying fresh food every day.

Abbiamo soggiornato solo per una notte ma Renato è stato davvero molto accogliente, molto disponibile in tutto compresi gli orari di check in e check out , ci ha fatto trovare il fuoco pronto per essere acceso con legna in abbondanza, tutto il necessario per cucinare e ci ha anche regalo un vasetto di ragù di cinghiale! La casa è accogliente e pulita, ancora più carina di come si vede in foto. Il paesino è piccolo e perfetto per chi vuole un weekend di puro relax!

Borgo tranquillo e ben collegato per esplorare le bellezze naturali dell'Abruzzo e del Molise. Per chi vuole vivere qualche giorno di tranquillità oppure lanciarsi all'avventura tra boschi e torrenti è semplicemente l'ideale. Il mare dista pochi chilometri, spingendosi un po' più in là si raggiungono le montagne della Majella ed i laghi del Parco d'Abruzzo. L'appartamento è un gioiellino, accogliente, pulito e dotato di tutto. Si respira un'atmosfera rilassante, aiutati anche dal calore del camino e dagli arredi. Renato ci ha accolti in maniera fantastica e, essendo esperto ed amante dei luoghi nei dintorni di Carunchio, è la persona ideale da cui ricevere consigli per i tanti itinerari. Abbiamo soggiornato qui per 5 giorni e ci siamo trovati molto bene. Il posto al di sopra delle aspettative..immerso nella natura tra colline ulivi e vista mare, con un bellissimo patio in cui mangiare all aperto, con interni ben rifiniti in stile rustico. I proprietari molto amichevoli e disponibili ci hanno fatto sentire a casa. Metto 4 stelle solo per la scomodità nel raggiungere le bellissime spiagge ( più di mezz'ora per punta aderci).

My house is amazing! I've kept the pale 1950's colors on the walls; each room has its own character and opaline lamp I've been collecting over the years. Essentially furnished, on 3 levels yet very comfy, and with breathtaking terrace view on hills!

The house hosts every year an artist in residence program, that leaves a a special aura to the spaces

Guilmi is half an hour away from the highway exit Vasto Nord, and 75 minutes away from Pescara airport. The house is in the center of Guilmi, on the hillside of Abruzzo. The village is small, peaceful and charming. An excellent place where to spend relaxing holidays. People are welcoming and helpful. Weather is refreshing over the summer, and pleasant in late spring and early fall. Food is excellent! Guilmi is in fact the homeland of the "ventricina", awarded many times as an Italian excellence for salami. Yet in the area vegetarian can eat divinely at incredible low prices! From Guilmi you can visit the natural parks of the mountains Majella and Gran Sasso (140 km circa), as well as the famous unspoiled coast of the Trabocchi, including the marine reserve of Punta Aderci (35 km). The city of Vasto, 35 km away, is favorite by the youngster for its nightlife and busy beaches.

From terrace amazing views on surrounding fields, hills and far mountains. I definitely recommend this place :) Wspaniała gościna, rzekłbym polska gościnność, świetny klimat tak domu jak i miasteczka. Właścicielka bardzo pomocna i zawsze w kontakcie. A widoki?!!! La casa è nel centro del paese. E' situata su tre piani, con ingresso indipendente, una cucina abitabile, con forno, forno a microonde, macchina del caffè Nespresso. Everything is within in metres distance (butcher, market shop, etc). Very neat, clean and spacious. Everything you need if you want to be part of the community, hussle and bussle. We loved it as you feel as if you are part of the community and people so friendly and helpful. Little noisy day and night as you are on the main street and vehicles passing all the time but I did not find it to be a problem for me (maybe older guests).
