Truly unique cottage in a remote paradise. This is idyllic little cottage is ideal for couples who want to get away to enjoy the sun, sea, rambling walks and each other's company. It is a picturesque 15 minute walk to the golden beach of Sennen Cove.
The Cottage is a restyled rustic and luxurious retreat. There is a fully fitted kitchen with all the essentials, including a Nespresso Machine, lovely bathroom and the 'pièce de résistance' is the charming mezzanine bed above the living room. At a push you can sleep a child downstairs in a pull out bed but we would rather not contemplate this.
It is a truly magical part of the world that has untold number of treasures to be discovered. This is a unique part of the UK that is very removed from the rest. The area is filled with beautiful walks & scenery in Poldark country, quaint pubs & restaurants, and the cheerful Cornish people. It is a 10-15 minute walk down the cliffs to Sennen or Gwenver beach, which are great for surf or sun bathing. There are Surf Schools down in Sennen Cove which do lessons or just rentals. There is also the Beach Cafe (closed in Jan) for a nice hot chocolate overlooking the golden mile of beach for that post beach cool off. Lands End is a lovely two and a bit mile walk along the cost, along which you can go either direction and find all sorts of treasures. St Ives is a little drive away, which is great for a coffee overlooking the bay with all the fishing boats, or to visit the Tate St Ives. You can also explore the some of the great fish markets near by in areas like Mousehole and Newland - without a doubt the best crab and lobster you've ever had. The beaches are a 10 minute walk away. The surfing is fantastic. There are numerous really fantastic restaurants which include, The Beach cafe on Sennen Beach, The Gurnard's Head, The Coastguard and many others. The beauty of the property is that you are completely independent secluded. It is a most romantic setting and you can just chill, chill, chill. For those who'd like to go further, there are day trips to the Scilly Isles that are accessible by short flight from Lands End Airport.
  • Little Rocks Surf Cottage is cosily nestled away above the cliffs overlooking Sennen Cove. When we arrived and walked inside we were thrilled to find a perfectly maintained and spotlessly clean little retreat for a long weekend. Everything about Little Rocks oozes comfort and a place to relax and let yourself unwind. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the surrounding areas of Sennen and upon our return each evening it was a joy to relax in front of the fire after a steaming hot shower. We very much hope to return one day in the near future.

  • The place was a real delight, tastefully decorated and very homely. The location is superb, just at the doorstep of nice coastal walks to Land's End and Cape Cornwall. The local sandy beach is a great spot for body boarding, surfing and relaxing. Catherine was very good at replying to our emails promptly and left some milk, eggs and cereals for us which was lovely. We felt welcome straight away and had a great time exploring this part of Cornwall... We loved it!

  • Wonderful location with beautiful artistic touches. Great local tips. Just be aware the bed is up a little ladder so may be challenging if you have mobility issues.

  • A beautiful place for a holiday....we visited for 6 days in May, and had the most beautiful time. The hit is simply stunning, every little thing thought of, and so much thought has gone into the design and layout. We didn't want for anything. Perfect location for hikes (we did Land's End, Lizard & Kynance, and Cape Cornwall). Lovely to be able to walk to either beach from the hut-and lovely walking down the little lanes behind too. Nice and secluded at the end of the lane. Very friendly neighbours and Catherine was really helpful before and during our stay. Bed fantastic and perfect to curl up by the fire in the evening. Love the little laundry room-very helpful after a couple of days hiking! Sennen Cove is a lovely little town, fascinating lifeboat station, lovely pub 'The Old Success', great place to sit and watch the surfers. Great for wildlife too. Days out not far-St Ives is definitely worth a visit, and decent supermarkets in Penzance (though there is also some lovely local produce around too!) would love to come back and visit the 'Minack' theatre and do some more hikes.

  • Charming cottage with everything you will need for a successful stay. Outstanding location with breathtaking views and easy access to secluded beach.

  • What a superb location, wonderful views and cosy place for those looking for a true escape. Brilliant for surfing, walking and chilling out at any time of year. Highly recommend!

  • Amazing property, the photos don't do it justice and they look great already! The views are spectacular. As soon as you walk in the door you feel right at home. The perfect getaway for a relaxed weekend. Or longer!

  • What a find! We went for a five day break in February and Little Rocks certainly proved to be the perfect place to relax and unwind. The cottage/cabin is stunning inside with every attention to detail. The decor, artwork, furniture and soft furnishings are so beautiful and make the place feel homely yet sumptuous. We were totally chilled out and cosy in front of the fire watching Sky movies, listening to music on the Bose speaker or reading. We loved lying in the unbelievably comfortable loft bed listening to the sea of a morning or the stormy winds one night. The kitchen is well stocked with an abundance of utensils and gadgets to use. Cooking there was a pleasure and we also tried the local restaurant in Sennen which served us the most delicious steaks and fish. Little Rocks is ideally situated with amazing views and places to visit – we took in Land’s End, Cornwall Cape, the old tin mines, St Michael’s Mount and St Ives. The owners were extremely helpful and easily contacted. I can’t recommend Little Rocks highly enough. I hope that I can manage to book another visit before it is fully booked up by my friends and family who’ve seen the photos!

A lovely modern flat to explore West Cornwall from. A two minute walk from the stunning Jackson Foundation Gallery, Sennen Cove with its superb surfing is 3 miles away and Lands End Airport , for flights to the Isles of Scilly is less than 2 miles away. There's interesting art on the walls and games to play, DVDs to watch and books to read. The living room has a balcony on which to enjoy the morning sun. There's also a free car parking and excellent public transport links to explore area.
A much loved flat situated in the vibrant village of St Just. A 3 minute walk into the centre of St Just with it's great selection of shops, galleries, pubs, cafes and local walks to the coast. Beautifully decorated living/kitchen October 2018. The kitchen is well equipped with lovely crockery. Comfy firm latex mattress and cosy bedding. A beautiful base to enjoy a fantastic part of Cornwall.
The seaviews from just outside the flat, the friendly vibe in the village, the local organic farm shop, the beaches, the countryside walks. A lovely flat in a great position.
  • Great place for us to walk the coast path from. Lovely peaceful flat with everything we needed, and the flowers were a lovely touch. Thanks Raminder.

    Lesley2015-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time at Raminder's. It was a lovely cosy apartment. The place is 1min walk from local shops which was really good. Would recommend this place to anyone.

  • A really great little flat located a few minutes walk from St Just town centre. The location is truly superb as you can pop into town, where there are a great selection of amenities, but also easily access the beautiful Cornish countryside and coast. We walked to Sennen and Lands End straight from the flat. There is also a bus stop right outside which means that you don't have to drive. We travelled to Zennor and St Ives without worrying how to park. A well equipped kitchen and comfy bed. Great shower. Neighbours very friendly and welcoming. Would stay again for sure.

    Jennifer2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Raminder's flat was clean comfortable with a well equipped kitchen it is ideal for a couple exploring West Cornwall. There were books and leaflets in the flat informing you about the local area. We found being able to use the bus occasionally really helpful as the bus stop near the flat enabled us to go to Penzance and St Ives, have a break from driving relax and view the countryside. St Just itself was interesting to explore with art galleries, artists co operatives, pottery studios mingled with a supermarket, wholefood shop, cafes and pubs. We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

    Susan2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect little flat situated in a great place for walking the coast path and enjoy the tranquility of the Cornish coast and st just , thanks for having us !

    Matthew2017-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely flat, in the perfect location! St Just is right on your doorstep and was suitably vibrant and quaint for our needs. Walks to the coast were breathtaking - I'd recommend the footpath route to Cape Cornwall off the main lane - these views were a massive highlight of our trip. The apartment was very clean and had everything you might need. The bed was super comfy and the balcony was a really nice bonus getting the morning sunshine! Would recommend this to anyone who wants to venture to the very end of the country, but not be in the heart of tourist-land (even though we just missed half term). The Tinners Arms and Gurnard's Head are well worth a visit for food and drink, up in Zennor and Botallack respectively. If you want to leave the car and have a drink, there's a bus service that runs along the coast that leaves just opposite the front door! We will return! Thanks! X

    David2017-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • The flat was just as expected: light, clean and cosy! Raminder couldn't be there to greet us since she was on holiday but she gave us instructions to the flat which we didn't have any problem finding it. We really enjoyed our time in St Just...We recommend King's Arm for food, trips to St Michael's Mount, Land's End, Minack Theatre. Definitely recommend this flat!!! To Raminder, thanks for having us! :-)

Green Bay Cottage has a subtle coastal theme running through it, the rooms are designed with the style and simple luxuries of a beach vacation in mind, with white washed walls, sun bleached floors, sheltered sun deck, gated front garden, cozy beds and artwork by sea and surf lovers throughout. Ideal for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families and dogs. With its raw untouched coastline Sennen has become a sought after destination thriving with fishermen, artists and surfers.
Open plan living, spacious kitchen area with a large dual fuel range cooker and dishwasher, washing machine and fridge with freezer compartment. Gas combination boiler and access to rear and front outside spaces. A sofa and three armchairs. Table and chairs for six. TV DVD player. Outside a well stocked gated garden with flowers, rosemary, mint (you are welcome to harvest) and seating for al fresco dining for six. The loft bedroom is bright and light with a king size bed and two singles and enjoys views to the countryside and morning sun. The downstairs bedroom with a queen bed is private and calm. The bathroom has a bath and a walk in shower area with a drench head as well as basin and toilet. All areas except the downstairs bedroom have oak or hard floors for cleanliness.
The group of converted farm buildings in which the property sits has a mix of local resident and holiday letting homes. It's more peaceful than the cove in the height of summer yet is just a short walk/drive away.
  • A lovely place to stay, beautifully furnished, warm and cosy and so close to all of my favourite beaches. Would definitely stay here again.

    Alex2017-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage, very quaint, warm and cosy. Everything we needed for our stay was provided, and the host kept in touch and was helpful throughout. Very close to Sennen beach also.

    Carla2018-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely place to stay! So nicely designed, cosy and warm in February, light and spacious. We had a lovely stay over Valentines, making use of the well equipped kitchen for our dinner and breakfast. We went for a long walk along the coast from Sennen and Sam allowed us to leave our car parked after check out and even gave us a slightly later check out so we could enjoy a lazy morning. Thanks so much. We loved the pebble floor in the bathroom, enjoyed a bath in the large tub and felt so relaxed in the beautifully designed and decorated space. Thanks so much. Would love to come back.

  • This was very nice and convenient place to stay if you travel Land's End area by car. The rooms were clean, bright and comfortable. Sam was very kind and replied promptly. The restaurant and things to do near by she recommended were great. Will stay in this place again if I had chance to come back:)

  • Beautifully designed coastal cottage in a quiet area away from the road. Loads of mint and rosemary in the garden which were great for cooking! We spent the days exploring nearby areas or down at the beach at Sennen Cove and the evenings at the cottage cooking and chilling out. Very homely place and would love to come again! Sam was an excellent host and very communicative at all times. Highly recommend this place!

Our home is in the heart of 'Poldark Country' in West Cornwall close to the cliffs and moors. The area is renowned for the views, the light and the open space. The accommodation is a self contained flat attached to our house with it's own separate entrance. We are in a small village with a pub and Meadery less than 2 minutes walk away. Other attractions nearby are Geevor Tin Mine and St Just. St Ives, with it's artistic buzz and beaches, and busy Penzance are an easy drive or bus ride away.
We are in a village but the moors and coast path are two minutes from the front door. West Cornwall is renowned for it's dramatic scenery, ancient historical sites and more recent industrial archaeology (Poldark's Wheal Grace Mine is a short walk away on the cliffs!) The area has been designated an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty" and is in the UN World Heritage site. The secluded secret sandy beach at Portherras is close by and the surfing beaches of Sennen, Gwenver and Porthmeor are 20 minutes drive away. Throughout the summer months there are nightly performances at the world famous Minack Theatre and there is a vibrant local arts and music scene. There are as range of adventurous activities available in the area from surfing lessons to horse riding on the beach, sailing and canoeing to golf. If you want more details please ask and I will send to links the the appropriate website.
  • Great experience! Full of relax, thanks again.

  • Lovely cosy, clean and comfortable cottage. We were welcomed by Jeremy with delicious home baked fairing biscuits and everything we needed was provided. There are lovely walks and interesting places to visit right on the doorstep, we thoroughly recommend Chy Ser Pren.

    Ros2018-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here over the Christmas period, and wow were we impressed! The accommodation is beautiful - homely, stylish & thoughtfully designed. We even had a little Christmas tree which was really touching, and of course Jeremy's famous cake. Communication with Jeremy prior to arriving was great & he was very helpful giving us the information we required. The location was perfect for a chilled out break - Trewellard is a small village located next to the coastal path. This was perfect for us as we enjoying walking & exploring. There are also 2 pubs literally a stone's throw from the accommodation, both of which we'd recommend for both food & drinks. Overall one of the best Airbnb experiences we've had, and I cannot recommend Jeremy and Rachel's place highly enough.

    Gemma2017-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing weekend thanks again

    Terence2018-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jeremy communicated well with us prior to our stay and on arrival welcomed us with warmth and some incredible ginger cake. I can't recommend their place enough! The space is beautiful with all the amenities one could require for a self-catering holiday. Jeremy was always on hand to answer any questions too! The location is beautiful, only a short walk from the cliffs and not far from a local beach either. A fantastic stay for a couple looking to escape for a few days.

    Will2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful visit! We were visiting form the US, and two quick days and nights to spend in Cornwall. We had mentioned when we booked that we were going to explore the "Poldark" sites and mining history of the area. There was a great brochure and map waiting for us all about Poldark sites when we arrived. There was also milk, coffee, tea, and some sweets. The whole place is so much cuter than the pictures show- so warm and cozy, and very tastefully decorated. We used the wood burning stove, as well as the (dual-sided!) heating blanket on the bed. The bathroom has a nice shower. The TV has Sky. As stated in other reviews, we weren't really able to get on wifi, but we didn't mind a bit since we were so on the go. The Trewellard Arms pub is literally about four doors down the street. Pendeen is a great jumping-off point to explore all of southern Cornwall- Penzance, Land's End, Mousehole, Porthgwarra, Gunwalloe, and many more beautiful sites. The "Poldark" mines are about a mile from the house. There is a dedicated parking spot for renters- small car is a must! Jeremy was out of town, but Rachel was helpful and lovely when we needed her. Thank you for a special and wonderful stay!! Would love to return!

Our gorgeous barn conversion with wood burner & open beams is designed for 2. It is located near an ancient stone circle & 10 mins drive from the fantastic surf beach at Sennen Cove. There are large gardens and fantastic countryside views.
The Old Wash house is a beautifully converted granite barn annexe next door to a working farm 10 minutes drive from Sennen beach. It has 1 bedroom with a new Kingsize bed and mattress (Dec 2017). The bed is made up with 100% cotton bed linen and a goose down duvet. The barn has wooden floor boards, recently painted, and is a light and airy space to live in. The Old Wash House sleeps 2. There is another single bed in the attic mezzanine if you have one child but this is only suitable for children and on prior arrangement. The property also has a wood burner in the bedroom with two chairs for relaxing, a kitchen/diner/sitting room, hallway & bathroom. It has its own private courtyard garden with a weber BBQ and table and chairs and use of more extensive communal gardens. The property is adjacent to our house and our cookery school called Fat Hen ((URL HIDDEN) Day courses run here once or twice a week between March-July and Sept-December. Private wild food cookery courses are available during your stay or you can book onto one of our scheduled courses. There will be no courses on during July & August as we shut the school during the Summer holidays. We aim to live sustainably here and have photovoltaic panels for our electricity, an electric car, solar hot water, we treat our sewage on site and compost our green waste. We have had superfast broadband installed here in 2017 and the wifi speed is very good. There is no t.v in the property but the broadband speed is good enough to stream films and watch iplayer etc. The barn is self catering but we provide a welcome pack of bread, butter, eggs and milk. The kitchen will be stocked with basics such as salt, pepper, tea, coffee, olive oil & sugar. We also provide washing up liquid and tea towels.
We are on a peaceful farm with no light pollution or traffic noise, yet only 5 miles from Penzance and 4 miles from the great surf beach at Sennen cove. The countryside is stunning and the walks from here are wonderful. The Old Wash house is situated next door to a working farm and access from the main road is down a 1/3 mile farm track. This track is bumpy so please be prepared and drive slowly. You may pass tractors and other cars on this track but there are 4 places along the track where you can pull in to let cars overtake. We have fantastic sunrises here overlooking the fields and the valley and we live 5 mins walk from an ancient stone circle. We are within a stones throw of many ancient sites and numerous beaches and hidden coves. There are great fish restaurants nearby, characterful pubs in Sennen and amazing walks on the coast path within 3 miles of the Old Wash House. St Ives (a stunningly beautiful town with 3 beaches and a harbour and the Tate Art Gallery) is approximately 12 miles away. Truro, the capital of Cornwall, is about 27 miles away. There are so many lovely villages (Mousehole being one of them) within a few miles of The Old Wash House. There's a great hotel/restaurant/bar in Mousehole called The Old Coastguard. This is great for popping in for coffees/drinks and lounging on their gorgeous sofas! Newlyn has a fantastic fish restaurant called The Tolcarne. The chef here is very well respected and has previously held a michelin star in another restaurant he used to run. The Gurnards Head, is a great gastropub (about 8 miles from here), with great food and access to the magnificent north coast path. It's worth building up an appetite and walking the coast path and ending up in the pub next to a roaring fire for some great food! The Tinners Arms in Zennor, about 8 miles away is a classic traditional pub with food. It's a great place to pop in for a pint! Penzance (5 miles away) has the usual supermarkets and amenities and some lovely quirky independent shops. There are great cafes nearby - Tremenheere Sculpture gardens are definitely worth a visit (about 6 miles away). The Honeypot is a great cafe in Penzance and The Apple Tree & Little Bo are great Cafes in Sennen. We are spoilt with so many beaches for surfing and walking and swimming from. Sunset is great at Sennen. A pint in the Old Success pub or dinner on the terrace at The Beach Restaurant in Sennen is well worth doing. St Michaels' Mount in Marazion (about 7 miles away) is a wonderful castle built on a mount in the sea at Marazion - this is worth a visit and while you're there go for a meal at Ben's Cornish Kitchen (a very well respected restaurant). The Minack open air theatre is approx 7 miles from us and is a 'must see' if you come here. Porthcurno beach, next to the Minack is stunning and definitely worth a visit!
  • The Washhouse was a beautiful little cottage, perfect for a little break down in Cornwall. Really well situated for Lands End, St Ives, Mousehole and Sennen. We had a great time!

    Megan2017-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, great location, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!

    Zoe2017-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • I thought the review I had just written was public. Better signage more accurate pictures of front of property Owners to answer their mobile phone. Hairdryer. Fire ready to be lit. Explanation of close proximity of next apartment. No blinds in kitchen windows so friends camping and staying were walking past. Some fresh coffee would have been nice. The basics left looked a bit sad and old Thank you for the eggs milk bread butter and directions to wedding venue. Strange not to have met Caroline. Thank you for taking a short booking of three nights over an Easter holiday

    Hazel2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • An idyllic, peaceful haven. The old wash house has been restored to a warm and bright retreat. The welcome goodies were perfect. We will be returning ,but with a car larger than a mini as the long and bumpy track was a challenge for my little mini. My peace was restored at this wonderful retreat.

    Anna2017-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a glorious time in Caroline's barn conversion. The bedroom and kitchen were incredibly cosy, comfortable and welcoming - we loved it. Both Caroline and Frank were very helpful, and we are very grateful for all that they did, including our delicious fresh milk and eggs left in for us in the kitchen! The location is beautiful - stunning country side and gorgeous animal noises. Heaven!

    Olivia2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline and The Old Wash-house met met all expectations. The location is fantastic and the accommodation is of a very high standard.

    Charles2016-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely, bright, clean place, with everything we could possibly have asked for, it was a perfect stay. Kid friendly, which meant a lot to me, and lots of thoughtful touches around the house. Gorgeous comfortable bedding, fresh flowers, eggs and milk and bread on arrival. I absolutely loved the kitchen space with the big comfy sofa. It was much more spacious and welcoming than I was expecting, with high ceilings and lots of windows to let in the light and fresh air. We also loved the location - central to everything in Penwith, and walking up the footpath to Boscawen-un stone circle was simply wonderful. Thank you so much to your family for your hospitality, and I hope we get to come and stay again!

    Raven2018-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning little barn in a great location. Frank and Caroline were friendly hosts who had the log burner going on our arrival. Great area to explore with surfing beaches, quaint villages and ancient stone circles and ruins nearby.

Tucked up behind our brook is a heated garden cabin which is a haven of peace set to the backdrop of the babbling brook. This is an en-suite triple room set in the grounds of a Cornish Cottage, in an AONB area. Breakfast items for tea coffee and toast are provided in the cabin, which also has a small fridge. Superfast Wi-Fi. You may also use the kitchen inside the cottage, which is shared with us and other guests. There are cooking facilities and a dishwasher and table/chairs in the main house.
Purpose built log cabin with a triple sleeper (please see photos), a single bed over a standard size double pocket sprung bed for a peaceful nights sleep, en-suite. There is room for an extra airbed if you wanted to accommodate a 4th person. The space is en suite with a toilet and wash basin and also has a clean and spacious walk in shower with a BEAB approved safe shower from the Mira range... regardless of water demand in other areas, the shower will constantly provide the temperature you have selected. Little details that make a big difference. Your hosts are on hand just the same as if you were staying in a room in our cottage but you have the added privacy of being in the garden, and your own bathroom. The cabin doors open out onto a veranda, then down the steps you come to a grassed area, and access to our garden where you can enjoy a cup of tea by the brook, you can turn right and head up the main garden and meet the chickens and goat! Please read our reviews to see what others have thought of the cabin, and the hosts!
We are located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and are surrounded by public footpaths enabling you to explore the countryside and access some very old stones, wells etc.
  • We had such a grate time there. Just what we needed. Close everywhere but not in a busy town. If you don't have a car you may struggle to get anywhere. Very nice and polite people. We'll definitely stay there again if we will have a chance.

    Paula2016-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Ros was a very kind host. The cabin was in a great location with a lovely set up - a perfect place for us to stay.

    George2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • This location is so convenient to Penzance and st. Michael's mount. Ros was attentive and gave excellent directions that made it easy to find. The property is beautiful with gardens, a little bridge over a stream, and cute, quiet farm animals! The cabin had all the basics we needed for a cozy nights stay. We enjoyed watching and listening to the pouring rain in the night on the roof from our dry, charming digs!

    Rebecca2017-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Nice quite spot. If I had to pick something, no mobile phone coverage makes it hard to find when lost without some clear signage. Thanks for the stay with such short notice.

    Greg2017-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely setting amongst the chickens. The cabin provided everything we needed and was an ideal stopping point, whilst visiting Cornwall.

  • The stay was awesome. The room was really cozy and comfortable. There's a stream running literally by the rooms side. Together it was an ultimate stay for us.

  • Our stay was perfect! Ros was nice and gave us perfect directions and delicious breakfast! The apartment is cozy clean and really comfy , just the right size for a couple. Newbridge its close Lands End - beautiful place to walk! We enjoyed. When we return to Cornwall we hope to be able to stay here again!!!

  • We spent two nights in Ros's garden cabin. The place was clean and cosy. Ros was a nice guest and gave us advice on places to go for dinner. Description was very accurate, the cabin is located in a very quiet location a few miles from Penzance. Definitely a place to stay if you want to visit the area.

Our home from home cottage is close to St Just, rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, surfing and the stunning Southwest coast path. You’ll love our cottage because of its space, comfort and style. The cottage is good for couples and also families (with kids). We are sorry but at this time we do not take pets.
A welcome pack of milk, biscuits and wine is left for guests plus salt and pepper grinders and a small supply of teabags, coffee and sugar sachets. We provide matches, paper, a bag of kindling and a bag of logs for the wood burner.
  • Comfortable, classy with attention to detail. I felt at home in this lovely cottage.

  • Great little cottage, Great location for exploring, perfect for what we needed!

    Emma2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is indeed a wonderful place to land, alongside the magnificent Cornish coast. Truly a short walk to the ocean and the hikes beside it. Very friendly hosts who have found a great balance between allowing you space and being available. St. Just is a lovely town too ! You won't regret choosing the Honeypot.

  • Sarah has a lovely home...we had a great time at her place..

    Shiksha2018-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is fantastic! The space is exactly like the pictures and has a real sense of home, it is so cosy. Sarah provides lots of ideas of places to go/things to see, which is great if you haven't been to Cornwall before (like us), and we really appreciated it. The flowers on the table and the little biscuits left for us were a lovely touch. Sarah is easy to reach by telephone if you have any queries/need any help but is happy to let you do your own thing, which is great too. I would love to stay here again and would happily recommend this to my family and friends/anyone looking to stay in Cornwall.

    Ewa2018-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • One word - perfect. We loved absolutely everything about this cottage. We arrived late at night to the welcoming lights of the cottage, a bottle of wine on the table and felt at home right that second. It’s was such a great stay we loved every minute of it and would love to return one day.

    Ekaterina2018-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • "Home from home" is a perfect description for Honeypot Cottage. As well appointed as our own home the cottage has everything you could need for a short or extended stay. As well as being beautifully located it was spotlessly clean, communication with Sarah was quick and easy and she went out of her way to ensure we had everything we also needed for our small baby. Couldn't fault this Air BNB, our only regret being that we didn't book for longer!

Ground floor apartment in a secluded location. There is ample private parking outside. There is a small conservatory to sit in which gets the morning sun and double doors which lead out to a patio area and private garden with direct views of the Cape.
A perfect getaway for couples wanting a quiet break. There are lots of coast paths nearby to explore and stunning scenery to enjoy.
Cape Cornwall is a short walk a way with secluded pebbled beaches. Cape Cornwall golf club is nearby and is open to the public and has a reasonably priced restaurant and bar.It also has a heated pool, sauna and jacuzzi which has only recently been opened. St. Just is a small town with a good selection of essential shops, open til 10pm; and some good pubs & cafes.
  • Had an amazing week away in Sally's apartment. The place is cosy and has everything we were looking for and we felt like we were at home there from the moment we stepped in. Sally is super friendly and was great meeting us upon arrival, providing all the info we needed for our stay. The place itself is great. It's peaceful and quiet and has beautiful views from the living room, with a clear view of the sunset over the sea every evening being an absolute favourite. It's a great base for trips to the local sites and has everything you need in St Just town a couple of minutes drive away. We were sad to go by the end and have already decided that we will be back at some point in the future. We will definitely be recommending this to others!

    Dan2016-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying here. Place was simple but well kept, clean, with a beautiful view and very peaceful. Wonderful location for hiking the trails around cape cornwall, an easy walk into St. Just and short drive to many other places.

    Daniel2015-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved my stay at Sally's place in St Just. The view is just stunning, I don't think the pics can do it justice! The flat itself is simple, clean and self contained, it was warm (a concern on an autumn break!) with a woodburner as well as a radiator, so very cosy really. It has a little deck and garden with a sweeping view down to Cape Cornwall. The flat is super close to the coastal path, so getting out walking is really easy. This was a perfect base for me to explore this stunning part of the country, I am so happy that I chose to stay here, a very peaceful location, stunning sunsets and friendly and helpful hosts, thank you so much!

    Samantha2016-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying in the flat for a week that is just as described. Sally and Iain were very welcoming and so was the stunning nature just outside the place (the coastal path is just a few minutes away). The flat is well equipped for preparing food at home and also staying in and being cozy if the weather is rainy. This was a great welcome to Cornwall.

    Gregor2015-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Ian and Sally's sea view apartment is the perfect place to relax in front of the stunning view and to visite that part of beautiful Cornwall, we had a very warm welcome, they were great hosts. We definitely recommend there apartment.

    Marie2018-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • A warm welcome from Sally (tea and biscuits!) and good communication throughout. Accomodation just right for one or two adults - amazing views from the apartment windows. A fabulous location for exploring West Cornwall by foot, car or public transport. Hope to return again! (nb - Sainsburys home delivery went ok)

    Mike2015-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here at the end of August. Was very impressed with the prompt communication and ease of booking process. We received a very warm welcome on arrival and the nice touch of flowers, milk and biscuits. The property was very clean and had an amazing panoramic view of the cape. Was in a lovely quiet setting with no passing traffic or pedestrians. Perfect for exploring the south west of cornwall. Top features being, sea view from the bed, wood burning stove and close to marazion and Minnack. Very bijou. Thanks Sally.

    Jo2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • We have just returned after a weeks stay at Sally and Ian's apartment. The location was perfect; only 15-20 minutes from Hayle and St Ives and around 10 minutes from Lands End and Penzance. The view from the apartment was stunning and Sally was there to meet us on arrival. She had thoughtfully put tea out on the table and some milk in the fridge. Perfect after a 9 hours drive! There were also some fresh flowers, another thoughtful touch. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed. We were also able to have BBQs on the patio. St Just is a peaceful village, idyllic really! We had fish and chips from Jeremy's, which were huge and and we also tried a freshly baked pasty from the local butchers; both equally as yummy! There are also a couple of galleries to buy lovely pictures and souvenirs from and shops to buy food supplies, such as a fruit and vegetable shop and a Co-op. These are all within walking distance of the apartment. During our stay we visited: Cape Cornwall (a short walk from the apartment, it's very peaceful with beautiful views from the top and a quiet cove for swimming at the bottom); Penzance (not much there unless you like high street shopping, although the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall were there when we went which was a nice surprise); St Ives (lots of lovely galleries and shops - busy but relaxed); Hayle (huge 3-mile long beach! We managed 2 miles but had to turn back due to the tide coming in); Falmouth (Pendennis Castle); Lands End (we went to see A Midsummer Nights Dream at the Minack and it was amazing; in such a beautiful setting too!) We would highly recommend Sally and Ian's apartment, everything we wanted to see was easily reachable and we won't forget the beautiful view in a hurry. Thank you for having us!

The apartment was very well appointed, clean and modern. We hope to stay again in the future, and hopefully have some clear skies to make use of the telescope!

This lovely Studio is well equipped for two people wanting a base in the far west of Cornwall. Surrounded by the glorious countryside seen in the Poldark series, it is only ten minutes walk from pubs, cafes and shops in the local town.
Chywidden Studio is small but well appointed. The sofa bed pulls out to make a superking sized bed. The TV has a DVD player built in. The kitchen area is fully equipped with induction hob, combination oven/microwave, fridge with ice box, washing machine, vacuum cleaner and most other requirements for catering for yourself during your stay. The list includes cafetiere, tea pot, stick blender and food mixer, saucepans, tableware etc. All linen and towels (apart from beach towels) are provided. A detailed inventory can be sent when you book, if required.
St Just has numerous cafes and pubs with food and there are excellent restaurants all over the area. There are two butchers and two supermarkets, a bakery, pharmacy, doctor's surgery, library and tourist information centre, . No need to go further afield for your shopping, though there are large supermarkets in the local town 9 miles away. There is also a great range of galleries and shops selling local crafts and gifts. Just down the road is a golf club and the area has fantastic walks along the coastal paths or over the moors.
  • We spent four nights in Debbie's studio and enjoyed our time in the lovely and cosy flat a lot. Debbie is a friendly and uncomplicated host, she made us feel welcome and even brought us a little easter surprise. The facilities left nothing to be desired and we would definitely come back.

    Lukas2018-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie was warm and welcoming. The studio was tidy and cosy, compacted with all essentials and more. I would highly recommend

    Tia2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, quiet and private but close to everything, lots of pubs, shops and restaurants nearby. If you’re keen to cook the kitchen is extremely well stocked. Comfortable bed, dvds on hand, great wifi and Debbie very responsive and on hand for anything needed. Nice shower and bathroom. we had a great week even with gale winds.

    Iole2018-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • We were very pleased with our stay. Debbie was very helpful and friendly and made everything to ensure that we were comfortable. The studio is very conveniently located - it's a 5-minute walk from the centre of the village, and you can also walk to Cape Cornwall and explore the scenic coastal paths from there. The place is very quiet and silent, and we slept very peacefully. Also, the place was very clean and well-equipped. So overall, highly recommended!

    Paulo2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this Studio and are delighted to recommend it. Bigger than it looks and comes with everything you could need; big comfy bed and it has many walks right on the door step! Debbie is a fantastic host and provided a delicious cream tea! Thank you Debbie, we'd love to come back!

    Charlotte2017-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie’s place has been a real joy!!! It’s super cosy and it doesn’t lack anything at all!! Everything that is needed is there! As a host Debbie has been super easy to communicate with and she was welcoming me with Cornish cream tea! All in all I absolutely loved it!!! And I definitely can highly recommend her place. Also in terms of location! The walk down to cape Cornwall in only about 15 minutes. Must see: Sunset from there! Breathtaking! Around St Just is so many other spot of nature to discover. The salt to/ through Cot Valley and back and many other places to discover in that part of Cornwall. I am a big fan! Thank you so much Debbie for all your recommendations as well! Extra super host points to you!! Xxx

  • The studio was a great place to stay to explore west Cornwall. Only a short walk to Cape Cornwall a beautiful place to watch the sun set. Debbie was a very welcoming host, couldn't have asked for more!

    Hannah2016-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Very warm welcome. Debbie is very helpful friendly and welcoming. The studio is well equipped and has everything one needs. It was suffering from damp in the wet weather which was our only criticism but this does seem to be a common problem in Cornwall houses! We enjoyed our stay and the studio despite that.

Very rural but just 100m from main road. Very quiet and peaceful. Stunning views and handy for St. Ives and the Tate, Sennen for swimming and surfing, St. Just, Geevor Tin Mine, Lands End and Penzance. St Just has all small town amenities plus two excellent butchers, art galleries, chemist, greengrocer, baker and some great cafes and pubs.
  • We had a wonderful stay in a lovely part of Cornwall! The rural reatreat was just that - a lovely space to relax with nice views all around. The location was great, a short car journey to places like the Penwith coast, St Ives and Penzance. Juliet was a great host, very easy to contact. We had everything we needed for a wonderful stay.

  • We had a great weekend stay here. It was absolutely perfect, Juliet ensured we have enough logs etc for the fire and everything was I hand... even had a cream tea waiting for us on arrival. The location was perfect and right in the middle of St Ives, Sennen, Lands End & Porthcurno. We couldn't of asked for a better stay. Thank you.

  • We had a wonderful stay. The accommodation was great and the host, Juliet was lovely and very helpful

    Leonie2016-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Juliet's place. We loved the homely touches, comfortable sofa and bed, games, books and DVDs. Everything was clean and we made good use of the stove, pans, cutlery and plates. Complete with a fireplace, it was the perfect retreat. The only minor downside I can think of is that the bathroom can get a little cold, but this is me being picky. As a host, Juliet was friendly and very quick to respond to our questions. Check-in was straightforward. I would not hesitate to recommend this as a place to stay and I am happy that I stayed here!

    Hyon-Mok2018-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely stay at Juliet's place! When we arrived, it was clean and tidy with milk, sugar and tea bags waiting for us after our 6 hour journey. Juliet ensured we had everything we needed and was available throughout the week, where required, to answer any questions we had! A lovely, cosy, bright and clean place to stay. We would definitely recommend it and would stay again should be ever visit the area in the future!!

    Nicola2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Juliet's rural retreat is a beautiful 'annexe' type building in a very remote part of St Just. The place itself is a good space for 2 people, feels very private (own drive and parking, fencing around the back so the house behind cannot look in). It has superb amenities, and was very clean and set up ready for us when we arrived. The wifi is a little temperamental - however Juliet was able to fix this for us as soon as we asked. There are books, DVDs and games to play in front of the beautiful cosy log fire. Very happy we chose Juliet's place to stay during our visit. If you want somewhere private with everything you need, a fire and located in a remote part of Cornwall - this is the place to stay! You can drive to St Ives, Penzance etc very easily, and the scenic route is breathtaking. Juliet has also written information for guests to learn about the local area etc. :)

    Catherine2018-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great views, lovely clean and modern accommodation with a beautiful log burner. Juliet was very friendly and helpful. Just over a mile out of St Just so you have the seclusion but also accessibility to the local village. Would definitely stay again.

  • Just as described this cottage is wonderfully cosy and Stef and Shaun are great hosts - really genuine and clearly passionate about Cornwall. We arrived in time for the final night of the annual town festival so were fortunate to see the town in full swing whilst also experiencing the tranquil surrounds. Room was very comfortable and just what we needed for a break away from the city.

Thanks Thorsten

  • Stephanie and her partner made me feel very welcome in their charming cottage, Stephanie even going to the trouble of walking me to a good parking spot. The place is lovely and lovingly decorated and my room was as cozy&comfortable as one might wish. Stephanie even made me tea&toast in the morning! And gave me lots of great tips on which places to go see. I enjoyed my stay there and had a great morning discovering the lovely village of St Just. I recommend this place!

An Mowhay is a delightful, 200 year old granite hay barn, sensitively converted to create a cosy and well appointed self-catering holiday space. It lies in a very quiet hamlet in the heart of West Penwith's prehistoric landscape, just a short drive from the stunning beaches at Sennen Cove and Porthcurno. Penzance and Mousehole, arguably England's prettiest fishing harbour, are also just 15 minutes away. An Mowhay is an ideal base from which to explore this varied and breathtaking landscape.
Please note that An Mowhay is a self-catering cottage - we do provide tea, coffee, milk & biscuits but not breakfast! There is a well equipped kitchen including hob, fan oven with integral grill, plus a fridge and dishwasher. It does not have a washing machine for laundry but we may be able to help if asked. There is a shower room with spacious shower, wash basin and WC. Secure storage for bicycles or a motorcycle can be provided in the owner's garage. Inside its thick granite walls, An Mowhay has a warm & comfortable living area with lots of original artwork. Outside, guests can enjoy wining & dining on a private patio area and are welcome to wander in the owners' adjacent field.
An Mowhay lies in a very quiet hamlet with no through traffic and dark skies at night. It is a fantastic base for walking and is surrounded by several iconic prehistoric sites, yet is only a short drive from the coast and the facilities of nearby Penzance. Carn Euny Iron Age village and St Euny's holy well are just few minutes walk away - perfect for an evening stroll.
  • Great accomodation to stay in with scenic views of the beautiful countryside. It is also walking distance from a historic iron age settlement which is worth visiting. The Mowhay has all and more that you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. John and Jane are such kind considerate people to have met and the booklet that they put together telling you all about all the spectacular beaches within driving distance was most useful. It certainly is a great place to have a brilliant holiday.

    Babatunde2018-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • A peaceful and charming converted hay barn close to Penzance and the Cornish coast. No issues at all with Satnav and the WiFi was brilliant. Welcoming and thoughtful hosts.

    Maureen2018-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in An Mowhay, with loads of helpful tips from our hosts Jane and John. This is a cosy place to relax in tranquility whatever the weather with everything you could need to make your visit a pleasure.

    Steffi2018-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic holiday staying at An Mowhay. The cottage is really comfy and cosy, and the kitchen is very well equipped. Our lovely hosts, Jane and John, were on hand with plenty of tips and advice about where to visit and there are folders in the cottage with information about the best beaches and walks etc. The cottage is in a very peaceful, rural location but only a short drive from some fantastic beaches and coastline, and a prehistoric settlement practically on your doorstep! The Wifi in the cottage was good which kept our teenage daughter happy in the evenings, along with a nice selection of DVD's, and there is a little patio area outside the ground floor bedroom with table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy a glass or two on a sunny evening.

    Kay2018-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • An Mowhay is well presented, clean, well equipped and homely. Thoughtful touches like a bottle of milk in the fridge for the all important cuppa upon arrival, make all the difference. There is a folder containing all the important info about the property along with extensive suggestions for walks and places to visit. A perfect base for exploring the beautiful Cornish coast. Very peaceful, with walks from the door and not too far from beautiful beaches, glorious NT gardens and places of historical interest. Set in peaceful surroundings and with perfect hosts on hand when you need them but far enough away to be private. Highly recommended.

  • An excellent find, well of the beaten track, in a very quiet and peaceful location. Although not by the sea, it is ideally situated for exploring the whole of the Penwith peninsula. Beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and well equipped. John and Jane are most hospitable, and go the extra mile. They gave us a lovely welcome on arrival, and showed us around the accomodation. There is an information folder which they have put together, with lots of useful suggestions about what to do/where to go during your stay.

    Judith2018-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t say enough about the wonderful experience at Jane’s place. It was exactly what we were looking for and the hospitality was exceptional. The location is perfect for exploring West Cornwall, either by car or on foot.

  • We didn't expect snow in March but it did demonstrate how snug and cosy The Barn is. All mod cons cleverly tucked in. A joy for a carefree holiday in a lively town. An ideal base from which to explore the stunning coastline and rich tin mining history of Cornwall. We had a great time.

    Susan2018-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • The barn is a lovely, cosy space brilliantly located in the heart of St Just. We used it as a base for walking the coastal paths, and it was just the ticket. It's cosy, beautifully furnished and great value - the perfect bolt-hole for a few nights in the tranquil, Cornish countryside. Highly recommended!

    David2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect little house for 2, St Just is such a great base it has everything you need from pubs to shops to a free car park! We had a great stay in the barn, was very clean and well equipped, communication was good, very quick responses with a lot of information about how to get there and the local area! Ideal for Sennen, Porthcurno and Minack and mining coastal paths.

    Kate2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Tinners Barn is a well and modern renovated but still very cosy place to stay. We found it absolutely clean and even with some foodstuff for a nice breakfast in the fridge (eggs, butter, bread, milk). Sebastian is a very thoughtfull host, who provided us with all the Information we needed to have a good stay. Although Queenstreet is located in a quiet housing area, it is still a good place to start many Trips for example a beautiful walk to Cape Cornwall. The only 'downer' while we stayed here were some quite loud construction works in the neighborhood, but of course that can happen everywhere. In total we can outright recommend the Tinners Barn and it's host Sebastian.

    Ute2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was exactly as described and the house has everything you could need. The location is perfect with butchers, bakers and a greengrocer all within walking distance plus pubs and cafes if you don't want to cook. Its great for walking, you can walkout straightfrom the house, and the hosts swim tips were fabulous. A perfect perfect stay!

    Kim2018-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Barn is superb , my wife and I spent three lovely days there . It has a calm and intimate feel - is very snug and cosy : and is most welcoming to come back to after bracing walks by the coast . It is practical, well equipped and the walls are hung with paintings by local artists . The local people were friendly and helpful , and Sebastian himself made our trip easy to organise and was close at hand if we needed help - so many thanks , we shall be back. Bill and Pat

  • Great cosy little barn in a nice little town, perfect base for exploring

    Niall2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful little cottage that is perfect for couples to cosy up in. Lovely location in St. Just which is a sweet town full of independent shops, pubs and lots of arts and crafts. The free parking is a short walk away from the cottage so no problem at all and convenient for the centre of this quaint town too. Communication from Sebastian about arrangements was brilliant and friendly, making you feel welcome before you even arrived and the cottage itself was spotlessly clean and elegantly designed. St. Just is perfect for exploring West Cornwall and I would not hesitant to stay there again. Thank you for making our Silver Wedding Anniversary and first trip to Cornwall so special. • Great little place in a lovely area of Cornwall. The place is actually situated very conveniently in St. Just but is still hidden and private. A lot of effort went into every little piece of this cosy house adding up to a very beautiful place. Would highly recommend.

  • The Bolt Hole worked as a brilliant base for us for a week walking the coast path. The accommodation is better equipped than we'd expected, Hev and Matt were helpful hosts who let us check in early out of the rain. Our only problem staying for a week was that St Just's Launderette is being refurbished so drying our hand washing took a bit of ingenuity. Particularly enjoyed the proper teapot, coffee pot with supplies, much appreciated after arriving in the rain. Hev and Matt helped us to organise and receive our Sainsbury's shopping delivery. Whilst being in the middle of town it was quiet, we weren't overlooked, or disturbed by neighbours. Heating and ventilation were easy to control, 7 sumptuous towels were provided.

    Angela2017-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at the Bolt Hole. It had absolutely everything we needed and we loved the quirky touches everywhere. Matt and Heather are great hosts - responsive when you need them and invisible when you don’t. Great location for exploring Cornwall and a quick walk to the centre of St Just. Having the bicycle hire adjacent was just an added bonus. If we come back to Cornwall, we’ll be staying at the Bolt Hole again!

    Melissa2018-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my girlfriend loved this cosy little space, great nights stay

    Joe2018-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay in The Bolthole! The hosts were lovely and the accommodation was clean, warm and very cosy. Would absolutely recommend!

  • We were made to feel very welcome. The Bolthole is a lovely place to relax in a good location close to lots of landmarks and sites. The Bolthole is very well designed and decorated. There are some lovely quirky extras and the courtyard was a particular favourite to sit out and have breakfast and dinner. We recommend the Bolthole.

    Simon2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay, already recommended to friends and family. Beautifully decorated with fun and quirky touches throughout, shows a lot of care and attention has been made when designing it. Very private with the garden space and secure gates, very welcoming and extremely cosy. Visited the local pub for some food in the evening, the locals were all friendly and were happy to give good tips on where to visit. Food was great too. Can't recommend The Bolthole enough. The only down side was we were only staying for one night, would have loved to have stayed longer! Will definitely visit again. Thanks Heather and Matt!

    Greg2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Heather and Matt have a wonderful place here. Ideally situated to visit many of Cornwall's sites. The bolt hole is full of quirky touches that set it aside from a standard airbnb and make you feel like you're on a true Cornwall adventure. The place is clean and has all the essentials for any trip and the town has pubs and cafes for when we couldn't be bothered to cook. There was a lovely courtyard we didn't get chance to use due to the rain but would be perfect for eating outdoors in the sun. Thanks for having us, we had a great trip!

The Barn provides self-contained accommodation in Tregeseal, a picturesque valley in the far west of Cornwall. It is a ten minute walk to the small coastal town of St Just which has excellent shops, pubs, art galleries, cafes. It is perfect for couples or individuals providing an open plan living and kitchen area, a separate wet room and a mezzanine sleeping area. It has an enclosed court yard and garden space. Access is by a side lane and there is street parking outside the property.
Electricity is included and heating is by a wood-burning stove and an oil filled electric heater. Please note that for winter bookings there is no central heating but wood will be provided, which is reflected in the autumn/winter price. Duvets, pillows and bed linen are provided. Please note that I generally ask you to bring your own towels. There is no TV but wi-fi is available. There is a fridge, a microwave and a cooker with a hob. The sleeping area (double bed) is accessed by a narrow, steep staircase which may not be suitable for people with mobility issues or young children. I am happy for you to bring well behaved dogs but do ask that they are not left alone or go onto the furniture. I also ask guests to bring a crate or their dog's bedding. The Barn is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a World Heritage Site due to its mining history. It is perfect for walkers, birdwatchers, painters and for all who appreciate the coastline and beaches of West Penwith. The surfing beaches of Sennen and Gwenvor are about fifteen minutes’ drive. St Ives and the Tate Gallery, Geevor Mine, Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole are also within an easy drive. There is no service charge or extra charge for cleaning, but I do ask that you leave The Barn neat and tidy. I’m always happy to answer any questions by email or phone.
  • Pip’s place is in a great location and very well kept. Would recommend.

    Roisin2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Pip's place is definitley somewhere you should consider staying when visiting Cornwall. It's a quirky and cosy little place in a perfect location, close to St Just with everything you need form pubs, post office, supermarket ect. As well as a stones throw from stunning coastlines of Cornwall. Pip was a fantastic host, very welcoming and helpful. really cannot ask for more! I would definitely stay there again.

    Julia2018-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • If you are reading this considering Pips place, just do it! The barn is nestled alongside her house with its own garden and entrance. It's just outside of St Just, very secluded and very special. The barn is open plan, with tricky stairs to the mezzanine bedroom so not for people with height/mobility issues. However, the view from the bed over the hills is second to none. The bed was really comfortable, trust me I'm a sleep scientist, and waking with natural light (and the occasional peacock squark) was just perfect. Pip is so knowledgeable and gave us great directions and tips for things to do. We walked the south west coast path, the diversity of the Cornish coast line is amazing. The barn is also great for those rest days just exploring the local area by car as it's located centrally to most area highlights such as St Ives and St Michaels Mount. Equally, it's perfect for just loading the log fire up, grabbing one of the blankets and board games provided, pouring a glass of wine, and snuggling up all day. Thanks so much Pip. We hope to be back soon!

    Rachel2018-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely and cosy accommodation. It is in a nice quiet location and is perfect for 2 people. Pip is a great host and is very helpful regarding things to do in the local area.

    Michael2018-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • First and foremost your host Pip is such a lovely lady. Really welcoming, friendly and helpful, she gave us some great suggestions for what to see and despite me not noticing that TOWELS ARE NOT PROVIDED she provided some for us all the same upon asking. Nice one! The building is definitely designed for the physically able, a nice use of space to get a mezzanine in but those steps can be a little tricky especially at 3am if you need the toilet! The upstairs is also not designed for someone of my 6"3' stature but it wasn't a problem. Good kitchen facilities although the electrics tended to blow if we had the kettle, oven and hob on, but the circuit board was easily accessible to remedy that. Nice little garden which we managed to have breakfast in once thanks to the weather that I can't blame Pip for. It is enclosed which is perfect when you need to send your dog out to the toilet. St Just (which is minutes walk away) is very nice, we specifically wanted a place in this area as it is easy to get to all the best bits of Cornwall, at least as far as we'd been recommended, and it didn't disappoint. There's also a good bus service from St Just which we used for a trip to St Ives. Thanks for a great trip Pip!!

  • Such a lovely place. Great view from the bed and a beautiful little garden. Perfect spot to explore the coast and a very welcoming host

  • Lovely secluded quiet barn with great facilities including good WiFi and lovely log burner. Just a few minutes walk from St Just and near the Sw coast path for fantastic views of the cornish coast and tin mines .

  • Pip was a wonderful host with great communication both before and during our stay. She took the time to show us around the barn as well as giving us useful tips about the area. We had a great stay and I would highly recommend this place.

Located in the middle of a terrace of similar cottages, with fabulous sea views, Trewerry Cottage is a charming, much loved, cosy, traditionally built granite, former miner’s cottage, sleeping four people in two bedrooms, with capacity for a fifth person. Perfect for a small family or group, the cottage is in a very quiet position, only a short walk to the town centre behind the cottage or to the coastal footpath in front. With brand new double-glazed UPVC windows and new carpet fitted throughout, white painted walls, Welsh blankets, original Cornish and family paintings, studio-ware pottery and Welsh blankets, small garden front and back, and wonderful views to the sea – Trewerry Cottage offers the perfect holiday retreat. Trewerry is ideally situated, combining outstanding west-facing views over farmland and across fields to the coast and distant Isles of Scilly, while being only a five minute walk into the charming town of St Just which has excellent shops, art galleries, pubs and cafes. The main line train service terminates at Penzance and buses can take you from there to St Just. Open top buses go to St Ives, and to the wonderful beach at Sennen. A few miles away, you can fly to the Scilly Isles or take the ferry. We welcome short breaks. Prices vary on the time of year and are higher during the school holidays when we prefer to let for a minimum of 5 days, but always try to be flexible - so please ask. We are always happy to answer any questions by email or phone.
The area is a World Heritage Site due to the importance of this former mining area. The location is perfect for walkers, birdwatchers, painters and art lovers, and for all who appreciate the coastline and beaches of West Penwith. The spectacular rocky coves and cliffs of Cape Cornwall and Cot Valley are less than a mile away. Sennen Beach, St Ives and the Tate Gallery, Geevor Mine, Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole are all within an easy drive.
  • Cosy and clean cottage. Great location ! Everything was very easy. Thanks to Bobby.

    Emilie2014-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • On the Cottage: We stayed in Trewerry Cottage at some point in June'12. ................................................................................................................................................................................ Inside was larger than it looked, and was perfectly adequate for our group of 4, and at no point did we ever feel cramped; Bobbi has done a superb job of creating a relaxing homely atmosphere indoors, and we immediately felt settled after our long journey to get there. ................................................................................................................................................................................ I guess the exterior picture does not do it justice as the picture makes it look like a council house whereas in fact the cottage is typical of the area and is of the same size and build as just about every house we saw in St. Just. At the front, it overlooks a field and beyond that an unbroken view of the astounding coastline. A walk down to Priest's Cove is definitely recommended, stunning! ................................................................................................................................................................................ Outdoors, there was a small tidy garden out back where our little un was able to kick a ball around and we were able to catch some afternoon sun on a picnic table. There was also a small garden to the front but we did not use that one. The alleyway leading to the back gate of the house was a bit scruffy, so was perhaps not the best first impression to the area; also although it is possible to get a car down the alleyway to unload at the back gate, I probably would not recommend it as it is extremely narrow; instead just park up on Cape Cornwall Road and walk to the front entrance. ................................................................................................................................................................................ On the Host: Bobbi was super quick to respond to our enquiry. She does not live in Cornwall so we dealt mostly via emails and things, but we were given access to someone locally if we needed to sort out something at short notice. We were sent a useful welcome pack and there was a folder in the house detailing everything about the home appliances and info about the locality. The only thing we got mixed up about was internet access, but after we figured out that the internet box was in the cupboard and we had to plug it in, all was ok. ................................................................................................................................................................................ On St. Just: St. Just is right at the western tip of Cornwall, within walking distance of the sea and only a couple of miles from Lands End; with this in mind, it is not the most accessible of places for people using public transport although we did notice a bus going to and from Penzance so I guess it is reachable by train (via Penzance) & local bus. St. Just does not appear to be a particularly touristy location from what we could gather, which is a good thing as we did not have to pay tourist prices. ................................................................................................................................................................................ With it not being touristy like many of the other towns in the area, St Just is not quite a picture postcard type place yet (think of it as an unpolished diamond compared to St. Ives). However,...

    Edward2012-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really lovely stay in Bobby’s cottage. The house was perfect for what we needed, and provided a convenient base from where we could drive to St Ives, Penzance, Mousehole, Cape Cornwall and Lands End. The cottage was excellently equipped with books and maps about the area, as well as board games, tv and dvd’s. St Just is a peaceful little town with ocean views and handful of nice shops and pubs. I would highly recommend staying in St Just and Bobby’s cottage for a family holiday, or as we did with 2 couples if 2 people don’t mind sleeping in separate beds.

    Christopher2014-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in Bobby's cottage in St Just with a friend and we both enjoyed our stay tremendousbly. Everything is as in the pictures - that is, ranging from adorable to beautiful. We definitely felt at home and the cottage has everything you could possibly need. We never met Bobby herself, but she left great directions, wrote a welcome letter, etc.

    Antonia2015-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy and simple cottage. Very near Cape Cornwall which is at the bottom of the road. St Just which is a lovely little town is a short stroll up the hill. The town has a good selection of pubs, cafes and local shops and the convenience store and take away shops are open late. Parking can be tricky but we visited in the August peak season. The cottage was well equipped and full of lovely artwork. Very comfortable stay

    Heidi2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is fabulous - we loved it. As others have said, the photos don't really do the place justice. It is charming, set in a lovely row of cottages. The walk down the 'alley' to the front door is lovely - all the garden are full of colour and the view over the fields to the sea is just wonderful. The cottage is very comfortable, tons of room for four and all the rooms have beautiful original art work in them. What a lovely touch. Both the back and front garden are spacious - we sat out in the front one the most as the views are just great. My only reluctance in saying how lovely this place is - is that it will get so popular that it will be fully booked next time we want to stay! St Just is a great place to stay and the walks from the cottage are just great - take the walk down to Priests Cove and Cape Cornwall - fabulous :-)

    Jo2013-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay in Bobby's cottage. Quiet, comfortable, and very nicely laid out. A perfect retreat from London, and a great base from which to explore the local beaches. Will return for sure. Many thanks!

  • I had a lovely week in this cottage with my mum in April 2013. The first few days were so misty we couldn't see 30 metres in front of us but when it cleared we realised we could see out to the ocean from the cottage - a really gorgeous view. It's a very cosy and quiet home, tastefully furnished, excellent beds, everything you need. We traveled by train and bus from London and could survive there happily without a car. Amazing local walks, dramatic costal scenery and stone age sites. The local shops and cafes are good too. Would happily come again. Thanks Bobby!

  • This lovely cottage is brilliantly located within easy walking distance of shops and pubs but still really peaceful and easy walking distance to the stunning coastline too. We stayed with two young children and had an amazing time. Would definitely visit again and stay at Naomi's place thank you!

  • A beautiful cottage in stunning surroundings. Naomi was an excellent host with excellent communication to make everything run very smoothly. The place was very clean and welcoming and there was lots of useful information left for us not only about the cottage but also about how to make the most of our holiday in the area. Fantastic!

  • Good location. Enjoyed a meal at the Kings Arms. Weather not great but the wood burner was very welcome. Our dog loved it too. Had to park around the corner as car too big for the drive but wasn't a problem. Thank you

  • We have really enjoid our stay of 7 days in St. Just. The small village had everything a tourist needs: small co-op supermarket, bakery, butcher, asian take-away (we tasted on the last evening). It is only a walk away from Cape Cornwall (we can really recommend to see there the sunset; unbelievable beautifull; stunning view). As we had sunny weather, we have been several times on Sennen beach (we recommend this swimming location with Kids). The Cornish cottage is well equipped. In the bathroom and in the kitchen are well equipped with soap, towels... And not to forget: Naomi is a great host and was available all the time by e-mail and answered really prompt.

My place is tucked away in the Hamlet of Bollowal, which is very close to the beautiful, rugged and wild coastal path of the West Penwith peninsula. A great location ideal for walkers and cyclists and those who love the great outdoors. I share my home with 2 friendly dogs (large and small), and 1 very fluffy cat. The house has a bohemian, rustic charm, in other words it is homely not pristine.
  • Ruth and Poppy are GREAT! They support us in everything as we were part of the family! Their dogs are very very friendly, so don't be scared about the big white one! The location is perfect for the viee on CapeCornwall and for taking a walk at every time (we went in the evening too, and there were only grass, rubbits and stars!!! :)))

Not to mention that Ruth was so helpful in giving us great suggestions for places to visit! Thanks again, Ruth!

The ‘welcome cream tea’ was very much appreciated after a long walk around the headland and the outdoor shower is perfect for anyone planning on surfing and the like. The Sonos sound system was a real treat and in fact the whole house is speced to a very high standard. This really is an outstanding Airbnb property!

Our wild landscapes, semi-tropical gardens, the moors and coastal areas are stunning at this time of year. The migrating birds are now arriving along with our seasonal marine visitors. Our swallows have returned to nest in our barns and we have heard the cuckoo – a rare sound in many areas. The Drift reservoir is just 3 miles away and Marazion and Hayle Nature Reserves are within a 20 minute drive; all are renowned for hosting a wide variety of migrating and seasonal birds. Why not consider a longer stay out of the main holiday season? If you are seeking peace and quiet in which to write, compose music, paint, photograph, explore the environment in greater depth, or simply to take time out from your everyday life this is the perfect place. Free access to super-fast broadband will keep you speedily in touch with wherever you need and we can offer attractive, off-season rates depending upon length of stay and time of year. Please contact for more information. Pets: We are able to welcome one, very well-behaved dog to come on holiday in this room. Please ask in advance; we ask that you bring their own bedding together with towels, feed and water bowls. We prefer that visiting dogs do not go into our garden or into any other areas of our home and ask that your dog is not left unattended in your room. And PLEASE, no dogs on our beds. We are right off any made-up roads, there is lots of space and dogs can easily and safely be walked straight from our house. If your dog is prone to bark at the slightest movement or as soon as it goes outside, this is probably not the best place for it to stay. Other guests will be in the room next to you and elderly neighbours live across the farmyard. Our own dog, Cassie will make a loud noise when you arrive but will be very hospitable once you are settled in.
If you are looking for the "real" West Cornwall you will find it here. We are well away from the main road, at the start of the wild, West Cornish Moors distinctive Celtic landscape and.....Poldark country! • My stay with Jill was perfect! The room was very comfortable, stocked with everything I could possibly need to feel at home. Jill's breakfasts were wonderful - cooked to order, overflowing with fresh ingredients and new choices every day. The location is ideal for exploring the entire coastline, historic sites including merry maidens, stone circles, and burial sites. Great meals to be found close by in St. Just and Penzance. Stay for a few days to make sure you get the complete Cornish experience!

    Stacy2015-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Being Air BnB virgins we were unsure what to expect and what a super host was ,rest assured if you stay with Jill she really is a super host and the rooms were immaculate and in a great location located in a converted farmhouse barn even though he Cornish weather was against us it was warm and secluded. Oh and did I mention the breakfasts her full English filled us up for the day on day one and two then on day three Jill served up her fantastic homemade American style pancakes with a stack of these we were not really hungry again that day. If all Air BnB stays are like this then we are converts, however Jill has set an extremely high standard. We would definitely recommend her again

    Di2015-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jill and her lovely dog, Cassie were waiting to greet me when I arrived. The location is beautiful in a tucked away part of west Cornwall but still only a few minutes drive from Penzance and St Just. The room was tastefully decorated with a fantastic en-suite with a very large shower. As I'm a vegan, Jill had very thoughtfully left some vegan-friendly snacks for me and the tea tray was well stocked with tea, coffee and even night-time tea, which I really appreciated. The breakfast was amazing - lovely home-made hummus, fresh avocado and a huge fresh fruit salad - just what I needed as I was on a yoga retreat weekend. Jill couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming and I very much enjoyed chatting to her. The way that the room is set up means you can enjoy privacy when you want it (with your own entrance and en-suite) but can also spend time chatting with the host in the breakfast room or beautiful garden should you choose. I hope to be back for another visit again in the future! Warmest wishes Jill. x

  • Jill was attentive and very helpful. The accommodation was idyllic and its location was perfect for travelling around Cornwall

    David2018-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely two night stay at Jill’s, it’s an incredibly peaceful location and we definitely felt remote although it’s really not difficult to find a good spot for dinner :-) Breakfast was absolutely top notch and we liked the fresh fruit on top of the full English the one day and pancakes the next! Really set us up to enjoy some coast path walking along the spectacular cliffs. We do recommend!

  • Jill and CassieDog provide guests with caring hospitality in their lovely farmhouse type accommodation that is representative of wild (Website hidden by Airbnb) a rural setting at the end of a long driveway. She offers a great range of tasty breakfasts and is always eager to please her guests. A welcome folder is packed with guides to Cornwall attractions, and the area is blessed with some really atmospheric pubs. An ideal base for exploring the mines, paths, gardens and Minack Theatre in the area.

  • Jill was the perfect host. She is a lovely lady and she made the most wonderful breakfasts. We would love to return some day. The cottage is in a lovely quiet rural are but only 10 minutes from Penzance. We both agree this was our best Bed and Breakfast experience ever.

Explore the beauty of Penwith. Carthew Mill House is situated between Penzance and St Just, perfect for exploring the wonders of Penwith. Walkers will enjoy the easy access to the South West Coastal Path. This is also the perfect central location for exploring The Minack Theatre, Mousehole and the beautiful beaches of Porthcurno and Sennan. St Just is just 10 mins drive away and has cafes, shops and restaurants and in less than an hours you could be in the bustling market town of Truro.
At the end of a quiet country lane in the hamlet of Newbridge sits Carthew Mill House. This 17th century converted corn mill still has the original wheel attached to the side of the house. You can take a stroll down to the stream and enjoy our 3 acres of grassland.
Newbridge is a quiet hamlet and a few minutes drive away is St Just, a pretty little village with some great pubs.
  • I was completely blown away by Louise and David’s beautiful home, their wonderful family and their absolutely top notch hospitality. I cannot imagine a nicer place or more friendly people, you have struck gold if you are lucky enough to spend your precious holiday time at Carthew Mill House. I will be returning as soon as possible. There are so many fantastic ways to spend your time in the local area, I have had my mind blown by the whole experience. Thanks again Louise and David, you’re the best!! (And Cracker and Alfie are the best dogs ever) My room was spacious, spotless and private, and the en-suite bathroom was just perfect Get the kettle on, I’ll see you soon! xxx

  • Great rural location for exploring Cornwall. The ensuite room is spacious and private. Louise is a super host who makes you feel at home. I appreciated her flexibility with our arrival and departure times, and her quick email responses. I also loved chatting with her family, including the dog, cats and chickens! Breakfast was very enjoyable, too. I would definitely book again.

    Denise2017-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Such a fantastic stay! The cottage is simply lovely, beautifully furnished, everything is new and working perfectly. Louise is simply fantastic, she emailed us the guidance a couple of days before, welcomed us very warmly and we provided everything one could imagine for a good breakfast. Louise kindly ask us if we could give any advice how to improve - we must disappoint her as we can't really help - it was perfect. The location is also quite good, Penzance is just a few minutes drive away and it is quite ideal for any plans exploring the western end of Cornwall. Would recommend the cottage for couples as well as with small families. We were sad to leave the cottage and return to London - just hope that we can spare another long weekend to return one day.

  • You will not a find a more welcoming couple than Louise and David. They make you feel like visiting old friends you haven´t seen for a while. The location is perfect. Romantic get away. Close to St Ives, Land´s End, Minnick Theatre, Penzance, and all the beaches are only a short drive away. Breakfast comes with the freshest eggs from their chicken in the backyard. Our favorite place in Cornwall.

  • Carthew Mill House is totally charming. Louise and David truly are "Superhosts" in every way. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The farmhouse is spotlessly clean and beautifully equipped and the location is very conducive to relaxation, yet very close to all the West Cornwall delights. The oversized bath, comfortable bed and wonderful pillows helped ensure a good night's rest. Having access to the fabulous kitchen for breakfast was an absolute treat, especially the croissants that were prepared for us fresh each morning. The best part of our stay was spending time with Louise and David, along with their dogs Cracker and Alfie, in the back garden in the evening. Our trip to West Cornwall was definitely enhanced by our stay with Louise and David, much more so than it would have been by staying in a hotel. We would highly recommend staying at Carthew Mill House. Thank you so much for sharing your tea recipe with us.....yummy and much appreciated. We hope to see you both again in the future. Best Wishes, Lisa & Phill

Chase Well is a delightful former miners cottage in the heart of Poldark country that sits just a short drive from Land's End and a few minutes walk from the famous 'Crown Mines' - the iconic cliff-face mine shafts that adorn many Cornish postcards.
Quaint terraced former miners cottage in a world renowned conservation and world heritage site in beautiful Cornwall. Lovely long garden, awesome setting.
Botallack is a beautiful former mining village that oozes heritage. More recently, it was the setting for the modern adaptation of the 'Poldark' series, with much filming taking place in and around the famous 'Crown Mines', the iconic former workings that adorn many Cornish postcards, which sit on the side of the cliffs just a few minutes walk from Chase Well. Nearby St Just has all the amenities you would need from a fully stocked Co-Op, pharmacists, bakeries with the best pasties, and a hardware store. There are plenty of places to eat in the surrounding area, with local favourites being The Queens Arms and The North Inn. Walkers will enjoy the stunning, windswept Zennor moors which are very close by. A little further on is Land's End, perfect for families, and to the north is St Ives, the picturesque fishing town that still retains a massive amount of charm. Also nearby is Cape Cornwall, Penzance, St Michaels Mount, Porthcurno, the Minack Theatre, Sennen Cove and much much more!
  • We spent 2 weeks in August at the Chase Well Cottage, the cottage was better than expected and not sure the pictures do it justice. The cottage is well equipped and situated in a great location. Walking distance to the nearest pub (very popular so ensure you book a table in advance if contemplating eating), short drive to St Just where you can pick up most things and numerous pubs and eateries. Lots of walks from the back door along the spectacular coast path and dotted with the best beaches in the country. We had a fabulous stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again. Thanks Cai !!

  • Wonderful little cottage in a great Palace. Lovely little touches linke a pint a fresh milk and home made scones waiting for us on arrival made US Fell very welcome. The coast is absolutely spectacular. Highly recommended.

  • A truly lovely house surrounded by beautiful scenery and walks. Clean, spacious and welcoming. Everything you could want. I know a lot of people say this but the photos really don’t do it justice.

  • Lovely peaceful week at this spacious cottage. We were kept toasty with the burner despite the snow! The cottage had everything we needed and was perfect for our 14 month old and dog. We even had friends stay one night and there was plenty of room for two couples. Perfect for walking on the coastal path straight from the door and also to explore the nearby st Ives, st michaels mount and loads of lovely villages and coves super near in the car! Would defiantly recommend if you're wanting to either chill in a cozy cottage or explore the beautiful Cornish coast!

    Lizzie2018-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived at the cottage on a foggy drizzly evening in July to discover a cream tea waiting for us in this charming cottage. On waking up the sun was shining and we walked towards the coast to find we were only minutes away from some of the old mines that are part of the world heritage site. The cottage was lovely, really well equipped and clean and having the garden was a real bonus.

    Daisy2016-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was lovely, well equipped and very comfortable. It is in a lovely location close to the west Cornwall cliffs and the Crown and Levant mines. The pub down the road was less than five minutes walk away and served excellent food . We were very pleased with every aspect of our stay.

    Chris2018-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful week at Chase Well Cottage, we are a family of 4 with 2 children. We have stayed in the area previously and had mixed experiences with other cottages, often with very steep staircases and pokey downstairs bathrooms. Chase Well has the great benefit of an extension to the rear which provides a good sized kitchen and upstairs bathroom. Arrived to find scones and clotted cream on the table which was a really nice touch - they disappeared very quickly! We found the whole place clean and tidy on arrival. Our bed was really comfortable and judging by how long it took the children to get up, theirs were too. Plenty of towels and pillows, although we brought our own beach towels. The kitchen was well equipped and we particularly liked the sunroom and garden. The grape vine in the sunroom produced some very nice grape juice! Location of the cottage is fantastic - there is a path directly opposite the rear which can be used to gain access to the SW coast path. We walked from the house down to Cape Cornwall and then onto Sennen Cove and caught the open air bus back to Botallack. There is a bus stop right outside the cottage. The cottage is mid-terraced and we found the neighbours to be super friendly - next door invited the children to join them blackberry picking and a few doors down gave me some great tips for mountain bike rides in the area. Parking is right outside the rear of the cottage and room for 2 cars, although we only had one. We brought 4 bikes and were able to bring them through the garden and store them in the sunroom. Cai is a fantastic host who answered any questions I had really promptly. Highly recommended, we definitely plan to come back.

  • Good accommodation, great communication from hosts - and a great location from which to explore this part of Cornwall. We didn't have a car, so were reliant on buses, and that couldn't have been easier - they stop right by the property. Would thoroughly recommend

The grade II listed cottage was built from local Cornish granite stone c.1750 as a small miner's cottage and comfortably sleeping 3. It comprises of a cosy sitting room with multi fuel stove. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances. The front double bedroom has a king size bed and the back bedroom has a single bed. Bed Linen, towels and beach towels are all provided. The bathroom has a roll top bath and separate shower.
Friendly people, local pubs and shop. Close to Geevor Tin Mine.
  • A well equipped comfortable cottage which is ideal for exploring the local areas on foot or by car. A real gem to come back to after being out and about all day. A great location as it is near 2 local pubs and a shop which has everything you need for a short stay. We really enjoyed the log fire and the comfortable bed and fab bath :-)

  • My mother and I had a fantastic time staying at Niver Dew Cottage. This was our first time to Cornwall and it was a fabulous base for exploring the area. Emily was very responsive to my questions prior to our stay (we didn't have any questions during our stay as everything went very smoothly). There was a lovely bottle of wine and hand written note on the table when we arrived, as well as a vase of fresh flowers. The house looked exactly as it does in the pictures and we loved every minute of our stay. I would highly recommend staying here if you intend to explore Cornwall by car (not sure what the public transport situation is as we had a car). The locals we met in the pub were very friendly and had great tips for exploring (the Minack Theatre is definitely worth a visit).

    Jocasta2016-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is charming - and the location while remote is quite convenient to many attractions in Cornwall. We did have a car, and found this convenient to explore the most western sites, and just generally enjoy the coast. The cottage has a very nice booklet with all kinds of helpful tips and information, which was helpful. I would suggest this for anyone that wants a quiet home base to explore surrounding areas and wants to get away from it all.

  • The host canceled this reservation 18 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • On arrival we were extremely pleased with the cottage because it wasn't only cute, cosey and full of character it was also immaculately clean. Emily had also gone the extra mile and had left fresh Lillies on the table and had provided us with some processco for us to see the new year in with. We were also allowed into the cottage early as the cottage was ready for us earlier. We greatly appreciated this as it meant we could get out of the wet weather. Although the weather wasn't great (which was expected) we both agreed that there was no better place to be then in Niver Dew cottage in front of the fire and it was always very welcoming on return from the elements outside. The cottage was well supplied with everything we needed plus more and the bed was very comfy. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay and would love to stay in Niver Dew cottage again. We will recommend this place to all friends and family. Thank you very much Emily. Rachel and Ryan

  • Gorgeous cottage in the heart of Pendeen. Short walk to the shop/pub/coast, exactly as described. Emily made us feel very welcome and provided everything we needed (including a bottle of wine and handwritten instructions on how to work the TV/DVD player- much appreciated!). Cottage was clean, bright and tidy.

Rustic and simply luxurious – our Scandinavian styled wood cabin is the perfect hideway. It’s eclectic decor possesses elements of art nouveau and a French vintage style, teamed with rustic charm. Rural getaway set within acres of farmland, close to some of Cornwall’s most stunning beaches, dramatic coastine, ancient heritage and artistic towns. We are lucky to be close to beautiful beaches such as Porthcurno and Sennen as well as a stones throw from the local amenities of Newlyn and Penzance. The moorland is visible from here and there are stunning walks to be found nearby. Our cosy cabin is suitable for quiet, relaxing breaks and as a base for more adventurous and active escapes. Bringing the outdoors inside with the luxury of a woodfire, snugly blankets, hot running water and modern cooking facilities. Dine beneath the stars on the veranda on those warmer evenings. The woodburner will keep you warm through the coldest months and cooler Summer evenings. Our gas powered shower and compost toilet with solar lighting are completely off grid. They are a few metres outside the cabin. Relax in the rural surroundings whilst planning active days at a variety of locations nearby.
It is secluded and quiet here. We are fairly high up and have views over the moorland almost to the North coast! We can see Chun Castle and Ding Dong tin mine from our place.

  • We had a great time. The place is very cozy, excellent for a couple. Michele was very helpful and made us feel right at home. The location is perfect in the middle of a small hamlet above the cliffs with footpaths in all directions. From the house it's a short walk to the beach at Sennen Cove and the pub there, and it's easy to get to the Coastal Path from there. We had a very happy week there.

  • Michele was a gracious host, and the space was wonderful. What a great way to experience Cornwall! I rented a car for the occasion, which I'd strongly recommend as it opens up the greater region for exploration.

  • Stayed for two nights with my parents and two large dogs. Michele's a great host that doesn't mind dogs staying! The cottage is quaint and cosy with a wood-burning fire downstairs, upstairs is a light and airy double bedroom that leads into the bathroom and small single bedroom. Short walking distance to Sennen and gwynver beaches and in a quiet hamlet, but not far to the main road makes a great location. And for anyone who wants to explore the coast, it's perfect. Thanks for a great couple days, would definately recommend!

  • Lovely cottage minutes away from the beach. Totally recommended.

  • Michele is a great host and we had lovely time in Sennen. Nothing was too much trouble and we appreciated the flexibility with check out and the whole stay in general. The cottage is located in a very quiet, rural countryside, very close to the beach great for walks and some quiet time.

  • We had a fantastic stay in the cottage - this was exactly as described and very cosy. Wonderful to use the wood burner too! I would definitely stay here again.

Our light and airy tin miners cottage is a perfect place to relax and a great base for long walks along the breathtaking Atlantic costal path. The local Portheras beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the area - a secluded vast stretch of pale yellow sand with fantastic lashing waves where seals are often bathing. Local bus into the village to St Ives, St Just and Penzance (St Ives to Lands End open top in summer). The cottage garden attracts plenty of birds and wildlife to enjoy.
A beautiful cosy cottage in an idyllic setting with sea views and a short walk to the costal path. The ground floor has an open-plan design - kitchen, dining area with seating opposite an open fire - perfect for those cosy nights in. Second floor is the bedroom overlooking the long traditional cottage garden, fields (sometimes with cows and calves) and the Atlantic ocean. The bathroom has a roll top bath with shower head - perfect for a long relaxing soak. The cottage is a perfect peaceful place to unwind.
Our road leads downwards towards the sea where a pathway starts that take you onto the South West coast path and breath taking Atlantic Ocean views. BBCs Poldark is filmed nearby. There is a well stocked local shop and 2 pubs all within walking distance. Penzance, Lands End, surfing at Sennen Cove, the Minack Theatre are all a short drive away. Geevor Tin Mine Museum, with a great cafe, Botallack's Queens Arms pub and St Just are all within walking distance along the costal path if you like walking. The costal walk to Zennor is two hours in the other direction. The local beach of Portheras Cove is one of the best secret beaches and is therefore never crowded.
  • The little house is ideal as a base for exploring this wonderful part of Cornwall. The house is warm and cosy, with a lovely bathroom. Parking was easy. Cheryl left us some very welcome things to get us started: milk, tea, coffee, biscuits, juice. Highly recommended.

    Julia2018-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a short stay at Cheryl’s cottage for 4 nights in April, the scenery and views were both fantastic. The cottage is just remote enough to have the quiet getaway we wanted, whilst also being close enough to a local shop and a few pubs that are within a short walking distance. The cottage itself was spotless when we arrived and a few essentials had also been kindly left for us (eggs, milk) as well as a hamper with some treats. All in all we had a great stay at Cheryl’s cottage and would happily visit again in the future.

  • This cottage is beautiful and is situated right on the Tin Coast which should interest history buffs! Cornwall is also beautiful in general! In the cottage we enjoyed a cosy log fire which we used quite a bit as we visited in Winter, it was ideal! The host also added neat touches such as Christmas decor and supplies in the kitchen (including awesome local produce like Cornish butter, yum!). It all just made us feel very welcome and comfort after a long trip down, and we were very comfortable throughout our entire stay. Our host left us plenty of tips and ideas in a hand made guidebook to which a lot of effort had been put into making, and was easily accessible to contact. I would definitely book this cottage again! Highly recommended!

  • This let is ideal for a single traveller too. Spotless, tasteful, peaceful - with all you need for a holiday. Although there are neighbours it still feels private, with secluded little areas to sit outside, lovely lawn and the bliss of parking opposite or a few steps away.

  • Cheryl's cottage is a beautiful place to stay. It's tastefully decorated and had everything you need in terms of the facilities. It's in a wonderful location with great views from the bedroom especially, lovely to wake up to each morning. There are some great walks from the house and fabulous beaches and places of interest nearby. A wonderful place to stay, we had a really enjoyable fee days.

Walk up the path to Balleswidden Cabin and you will feel like you've discovered an uninhabited island, where your time is your own to parcel out as you see fit.
Close to the West cornish coast and in sight of the sea. Enjoy all the westerly town at just has to offer and the deeply historic Mining and coastal landscape.
    St just. Lands end coastline.

  • Kate’s secluded little cottage was a charming hideaway in west Cornwall, a quick walk from St. Just and the coast with easy bus access as well. It was very homey and the definition of cute with a fire and loft bed. We only stayed one night but would recommend two in order to really enjoy the possibilities, e.g. a summer barbecue on the porch with a beautiful view.

    Iris2018-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Absolute gem of a place... Completely off the beaten track, real rustic charm. Plenty of space and a great view from the decking! We took my 4 year old, plenty to do with kids in the area and then a nice cosy evening by the fire. Will definitely be coming again!

    Matt2018-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is absolutely brilliant, so peaceful and kitted out well, lots of lovely touches and decor and plenty of books to read! Kate was a brilliant host, left us a lovely selection of bread , butter, strawberry’s and fresh milk it’s close to loads of places to visit. We would definitely come again!

    Declan2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Kate’s place is a funky and offbeat spot to lay your head for a night or two.

    Miles2018-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was better than described, the photos do not do it justice ! The cabin was beautiful and so cozy with the fire, although I may need a few more attempts to perfect a coal fire . The location was perfect, the drive is very bumpy so any low vehicles will struggle ! Kate was fantastic and very helpful, even had a selection of food and drink waiting for us with the fire roaring ! 10 out of 10

The Piggery at Escalls is a gorgeous, detached conversion of an old farm building designed with great style and attention to detail. The epitome of the saying “all good things come in small packages” the Piggery ticks so many boxes and this lovely little retreat is the ideal spot for an escape to the far west. There is a parking space right outside and from the front door it’s only a ten-minute walk down to one of our finest local beaches at Gwenver.
LIVING, COOKING, EATING This characterful and stylish space has a bijou sitting area with a comfy two seater sofa in front of a wood burning stove and to the side a wall mounted flat screen TV. The built in kitchen is more like a kitchenette but has everything you need to cook a meal with a fridge, integrated combi microwave/oven/grill, sink and a single moveable hob plate. Between the sitting area and kitchen is a breakfast bar with two bar chairs. SLEEPING Through the kitchen area a door leads to the bedroom with a comfortable king-sized bed dressed in good quality linen with bath towels provided. There is shelving behind the bed, storage under the bed and open hanging hooks on the opposite wall. There is a glass door which opens to the outside and means you can enjoy the sea air, while sitting in bed with your morning tea. BATHING Through the bedroom is a stunning modern shower room with a large shower enclosure and rain shower. OUTSIDE The Piggery is one side of a large courtyard shared with Manor Farm and there is a private parking space by your garden gate. This leads to a cute courtyard with a bistro table and two chairs. WIFI: There isn’t formal WiFi but we have put in an extender linked to the neighbouring Manor Farm. The signal is ok but can be erratic but you can pick up reasonable 3G and 4G for checking emails. PARKING: There is a private parking space right outside. HEATING: There are two wall mounted electric heaters in both the bedroom and living area and of course the lovely little wood burner which will keep you toasty. In winter and autumn guests will be provided with an initial supply of logs for the fire. Additional logs can be purchased locally if required. ACCESSIBILITY: The Piggery, Escalls is all across the ground floor. There is a flat walk from the parking to the french doors across some gravel. The path and doorways are narrow and there is a small step into the accommodation. DOGS:One dog is welcome at £25 per stay. Nearby Gwenver Beach is dog friendly all year round and Sennen Beach allows dogs during the summer before 8am and after 7pm. Dogs are welcome on Sennen Beach all day long before 1st May and after 30th September. AREA: Escalls is a small hamlet situated five minutes from Sennen Cove which was recently featured in the Times “top five beaches in the UK”. It’s a special location set above the coastal path and you can walk to Gwenver, known locally as one of the best surfing spots in the county. If you are looking for a break to unwind, walking down to the beach to watch the breakers roll in, is a sure antidote on this unspoilt stretch of coast.
From the front door you cut down the farm track, known locally as the fairy lanes, which in a few minutes, leads to the top of the cliffs between Sennen and Gwenver beaches. It’s an amazing viewing spot high above the Atlantic and from here the unmarked paths lead down to the coastal path and beach. For Shopping the local market town of St Just is under 10 minutes away and is a UNESCO world heritage site due to its rich mining history. Here you will find an array of great local shops: a deli, a butcher, four pubs and a small local supermarket for your everyday needs. Surrounding Escalls are the most spectacular stretches of coastline and fantastic moorland walks from the doorstep. Further afield in the wider West Cornwall the popular towns of Penzance, St Ives, Marazion and Mousehole are all an easy drive away.
  • Lovely little house in a great location - can’t wait to come back!

  • Lovely cottage in Cornwall! My husband and I stayed at the cottage in Sennen Cove in July and used it as a base to explore Cornwall. It is well located to visit many of the key attractions such as St Michael’s Mount and The Minack Theatre etc which are a short drive away. It is also minutes walk from beautiful Gwenver beach. As soon as you leave the cottage, you are met with stunning sea views and it’s so lovely to stroll around the country lanes. The cottage itself had a modern decor inside and was very clean with a comfortable sofa and double bed - all amenities are available such as towels, tea and coffee making facilities, microwave and oven etc.. so you could easily cook food and eat in if don’t want to go out for every meal. We would highly recommend a stay here and would very much return when next in Cornwall. Our host Sebastian was very helpful with advice and information on our stay and surroundings and was always available, responsive and friendly! Thank you for having us!

  • The Piggery was a fantastic base for exploring Cornwall and has a short walk into Sennen Cove that has a dog friendly beach. The Piggery is also fantastically equipped for everything you need on a short trip away. An amazing stay, thank you for having us. We will be back!

A large and comfortable room in a beautiful spot, next to Cape Cornwall Golf Club's restaurant and swimming pool. Three windows- very light with amazing view of the only Cape in England. This cosy cottage is open plan but also has space. Tea/coffee in room. Wifi, DVD/TV,selection of DVDs but no TV channels. Please note that the large bathroom is downstairs with good shower/bath. We have two friendly Labradors who love guests! Log fire every night in the winter. Friendly hosts!
Your room overlooks the only Cape in England! One mile from St Just, which is a very small town with pubs, cafes and eateries and many unique craft shops. Although there is a golf club next door, it is very quiet here.
Not many people live on the Cape. It is a very small and peaceful community. The cottage was the first dwelling on the Cape. The cottage was formerly the farm cottage of Nanpean Farm, until the golf club was built in 1991. The club house of the farm was created from the farm stables.
  • Visitors can expect a stunning view from their bedroom window but, more importantly, a very friendly and helpful family who ensure their guests have a great time. We cannot wait to return!

  • The location and view from this place is fantastic. The rugged, dramatic Cornish coastline offers a spectacular back drop with awesome walks and views on your doorstep. A great place to explore Cornwall from. Jo and Chris make great hosts and make you feel welcome in their beautiful home, as do Gracie and Connie their adorable Labradors.

    Jozef2017-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jo and Chris have been amazing hosts! They are very friendly and welcoming. We felt very comfortable at their place and enjoyed our stay thoroughly. We would highly recommend visiting the area for any relaxing or active stays all year round. You can't get a better location (ocean views by day and star gazing by night from the bedroom window!)! There is plenty to explore and our hosts were very helpful with providing us with all the information we needed which made our experience even more interesting. We hope to have a chance to return in the future! Thank you!

  • An excellent value for money home in an area of natural beauty with easy local walks and nearby attractions and beaches for Poldark fans. Hospitable family, plenty of local information on hand and a large comfortable room with a picture window of Cape Cornwall, and if you are lucky enough outstanding sunsets. Thanks for a wonderful and relaxing stay.

  • Fantastic place and people! We've had the best weekend ever, thanks to Jojo's guides and hospitality! Room was lovely, spacious and with an amazing view! The house is super clean and dogs very very well behaved. Thank you guys, hope to see you again soon!

  • The road to perfection is down a small and windy road, just east of St Just. Upon arrival, Jo and Chris welcomed us with open arms and gave us a quick tour around the house, showing us all the facilities. They were very accommodating, made us feel at home and relaxed, which was great; especially after a nine hour journey. Jo and Chris are a lovely couple that have a wealth of knowledge, both in local and life experiences. The room itself was gorgeous; the bed was comfortable, there's a plethora of DVDs for your viewing entertainment and there were some goodies on the side table, which included teas and coffees. One of the nicest things was the view towards the headland - it is to die for! The bathroom is huge and the shower is definitely big enough for two people. When I first signed up to Airbnb, I had an idealistic view of what sort of places would be available... This is one of the best places I've ever been to and I cannot wait to go back. Jo and Chris are fantastic hosts and it was made even better by the two gorgeous dogs that were swooning over us the entire time. I loved it and love them!

  • Jo & Chris, are lovely and extremely welcoming. Their house represents the perfect retreat at the " end of the world" to meditate and get away from the daily tran tran of a big city like London. The room is cosy and lovely and perfectly located near Cape Cornwall to start a stunning and breathtaking walk along the coast path throughout the cliffs to get to Land's End passing by Sennen.

A 17th century barn that has been converted to a high standard. The accommodation consists of a well equipped open plan kitchen diner, on the second floor there is a large sitting room with a multi fuel fire. There are two bedrooms, one twin which can be ensuite to the large bathroom. This has been fitted with a roll top bath and a large separate shower. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room. It also has a private courtyard with bbq and eight seat hot tub, great to relax in.

  • We stayed here for a little weekend break and were blown away by the hospitality of Viv and Jeff. We really felt like 5 star treatment from the welcome scones and prosecco to the warm welcome from Viv. Nothing was too much trouble and Viv was excellent in recommending local sights and restaurants etc. The accommodation was outstanding, a beautiful converted barn with beautiful cosy decor and the icing on the cake, the hot tub, perfect way to relax in the evening. We will definitely be back and would recommend without hesitation. Thank you for a lovely weekend Viv and Jeff.
