3 female friends stayed at Craig and Theresa's home for a 4 night/5 day conference. All 3 of us ladies were first-time Airbnb'ers, and we absolutely LOVED our experience! Communication with Theresa was clear, prompt, and easy. Their home was warm and welcoming, clean and spotless, and simply perfect. Both Theresa and Craig were generous with their time and space, and were so fun to talk to! They made sure to have coffee ready for us in the morning, and were so authentic in welcoming us into their home. We all agreed that the best part of the conference was coming "home" to our Airbnb. Theresa was so thoughtful- she added every amenity to the bathroom and bedrooms to make your stay comfortable and effortless. We will be forever grateful for their generosity and warmth, and would definitely recommend their property to anyone staying in St. Charles, IL!

Theresa knew all about us when she greeted us at the door, having read our on-line profile. It seemed as if we’d known this couple for years—new friends we’ve known forever. The pictures and the write-up on airbnb don’t do justice to this incredible home and these hosts. Their home makes Martha Stewart jealous. Both Theresa and Craig are great ambassadors for the St. Charles/Geneva communities. They described more great eating and shopping places than we had time to visit. They were very respectful of our privacy and offered to leave us alone or sit and visit—we always chose to visit with this wonderful couple.

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying with Theresa and Craig. They were very friendly and they welcomed us as if family. The house was beautiful, with plenty of room, and anything we needed from ironing or washing clothes was available to us. Hot coffee was waiting in the mornings along with bagels and cereal. Coming back to their house each night after our hectic schedules of the day was so much more relaxing when compared to staying in a hotel. There were a few evenings where our hosts joined us over dessert, and we spent time getting to know each other. By the time we left it felt as if we had known them for years. When we return to the Chicago area we know where we will be staying! Don't pass this place up!

Listing was 100% accurate. Jodi was incredibly inviting; some may have balked at having young adults in their mid-twenties stay in their place, but Jodi was very welcoming and inviting. We felt right at home. She made sure we were comfortable at all times and emphasized we could contact her whenever we needed something, giving us her cell phone number and checking in on us. All we did was gush about how much we loved the space and loved our host. The upstairs is absolutely adorable; my friends and I never wanted to leave! The decor gave me the feeling of being at my cabin in Michigan, and my friends the feeling of a seaside cottage. The neighborhood is nice and peaceful, and the area is gorgeous. I have to say, this was my first AirBNB experience, and it was the perfect one to have. If you're looking for a place in the St. Charles area, Jodi is not only very kind and a great hostess, but knows the area very well. Full five stars, ten out of ten, one-hundred percent A+.

Jodi is a wonderful host. She makes you feel at home right away in her comfortable, upstairs apartment. She went out of her way to tell me about all of the extra amenities that she has and she had the essentials stocked in her kitchen (coffee!!!). Her communication is excellent and the listing was very accurate. The neighborhood is quite and very safe and it's a short walk to many downtown restaurants. I highly recommend this space.

Jodi was an excellent host! She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. Our time at Jodi's upstairs get-away was just what we needed on our visit to family for Thanksgiving. We booked our airbnb at Jodi and Mike's residence in St. Charles in order to attend a funeral in Elgin. This was my first time staying in an airbnb where the owner also was in residence. The rental unit is a finished attic space in their home with a separate entrance. Jodi and Mike did a great job of making us feel welcome while also respecting our privacy. Jodi has done an excellent job of decorating this upstairs space and making it feel like a home away from home, which is just what we are looking for when we choose to stay in an airbnb. There is a comfortable, queen-sized bed in the bedroom as well as a twin bed in the living area. There is plenty of closet space. There's also a desk where I could set up my mobile office with the free wifi. The kitchen was well-equipped and Jodi provided plenty of coffee and bottled water in the refrigerator. We enjoyed looking out the kitchen window at the beautiful garden below. The street their home is located on is quiet with very little traffic yet you are walking distance to a beautiful park along the Fox River, and plenty of good restaurants. After a long drive to Illinois from Ohio, we loved that we could get out of the car and walk to dinner at McNally's Irish Pub, a place Jodi recommended that had excellent food and atmosphere. On Saturday night, we stumbled upon an Indian restaurant, Taste of the Himalayas, which had delicious Indian and Nepalese fare. Having the opportunity to stay at Jodi and Mike's comfortable and centrally-located home provided a wonderful respite throughout a difficult weekend. The next time we visit, we want to go for pleasure and take our bicycles. Thanks to Jodi and Mike for providing us a peaceful sanctuary in their lovely home.

Jodi & Mike's home was in a GREAT location and an easy walk to restaurants, the river and all the things going on in downtown St. Charles. Probably about 1.5 miles to downtown Geneva as well. The little apartment was cute and Jodi has done some small touches to real make it charming. She was welcoming and responsive host as well.

Mike & Jodi offer a great property in a quiet neighborhood, within quick walking distance of restaurants and St Charles nightlife. Highly recommended !

The house is in great condition, is located in a very nice neighborhood and was a short distance from my meeting. This was a very comfortable private room at a very affordable price, and I will definitely try to stay here again the next time I visit St. Charles.

Everything about this stay was great. Cindy and Dennis were both very nice. They left me each of their cell phone numbers if I needed anything. They left various food items and drinks for me. The room was nice and had a comfortable bed. The bathroom has heated floors and a big tub as well as a separate shower. There were candles by the tub as well as an assortment of bath bombs, bubble bath, bath salts, etc. The location is near the river and just a few short blocks to some restaurants and a book store. I enjoyed my stay very much.

Rob was an amazing host. Very helpful from the beginning with all the questions I had, as this was my first time using the site. I loved being able to get in contact quickly. The home was exactly as pictured, and perfect for what we needed. We used the space for my parents, who were coming into town for my wedding. The home was very clean, and Rob left amazing instructions that were so helpful in making them feel at home. Really enjoyed the space. Would definitely use again when my parents come back to town! The host was even very helpful with my parents arriving late in the evening. There was a slight problem with the heat, but the host had someone out to fix the issue within a couple hours, and was so easy to get a hold of.

We liked staying here as the house is in a nice neighborhood (watch your speed in Wayne!) and it had all the space the owners advertised. Note this is nothing fancy, you are going to someone's house and should be prepared for it. It wasn't pretty but it worked well and fit our needs to a tee. Rob and Tammy we very communicative and helpful and we appreciated their efforts to help us with small things. The kitty made our kids happy and they really liked the wildlife in the area. What a great location, in such a cute town, and so conveniently located. We came for a wedding in St. Charles, and couldn't have been more pleased with Nancy's home. She was so kind and gracious the whole weekend; would definitely come back to the area again, and stay with her. She has two bicycles and a bike trail just two blocks from her home, which going up and down the river, taking you to towns along the way. A must if you stay with her!

This week has been nothing but "aces" - including my stay with Naancy. Her house is easy to find, she is an excellent communicator, her home is gorgeous and she, a wonderful and interesting conversationalist. I highly recommend Nancy as an airbnb host!

The location was great - near the restaurants and shops, near Island Park (where the Fox Valley Folk Festival was held), and near bike trails. Nancy is a great host!!! My son and I felt "at home" all weekend. Coffee was offered each morning, and other "treats" were readily available in our rooms. My mentally disabled son has continued to talk about her ever since we got home. He keeps telling me what a "nice lady" she is and how excited he is to spend time at her home again. Nancy made it very easy to access her home, to accommodate our busy schedule throughout the weekend. We were able to come and go as we needed, never making us feel like strangers.

What a fabulous stop on our journey! Nancy was a true example of Midwest hospitality--even gave is great recommendations on where to eat and play in the area. The house perfect for us: great location close to town, outdoor patio to relax, and a big beautiful bath tub. We will definitely be staying here when we return to Geneva.

This was my first ever house rental on airbnb and it could not have been more enjoyable than my stay at Dan and Michele's place! They thought of everything and their home was so lovely. My mom and I really enjoyed our morning walks in the park conveniently located across the street, this fact also made me popular with my nieces and nephews who found spending time with me enjoyable given the awesome playground. I am so grateful that our airbnb community that we can share the best of our homes with each other. This duplex is located in a quiet neighborhood nearby a park and walking trail. Shopping and restaurants are very convenient to this location. The home is comfortable and the extra information they provide for activities, restaurants, etc. was very helpful!

This is a perfect location for visits in the Fox River Valley, and those wanting a place to stay outside of Chicago with an hour commute to the loop via train.

It's a nice escape from the city, but still a quick drive.

Beautiful home and setting. Very nice couple who were very helpful. As they indicated, they have a couple small dogs. The dogs were friendly and not at all annoying. This rental was about 20 minutes from my destination -- was about 15 minutes further than several motels and was a little less expensive than the the motels. The atmosphere, though, was heads and shoulders above any motel that we could have stayed at. I would go back again without thinking twice. Great experience.

Our stay in St Charles at Cheri's house was charming. We loved being right next to the Fox River for great walks and runs by the green woods surrounding the area. Close enough (about 10-15 minutes drive) to St Charles and Geneva for fun walking, restaurants, and shops. Helpful brochures in our suites about things to see in the area and Metra train schedules also. About an hour by train to downtown Chicago. Great banana bread and a welcome basket of snacks in our kitchen upon arrival!

We had a great stay with Cheri and Paul when we came to the area to play some golf. The accomodations were great with 2 separate apartments with a connecting door. They have obviously spent a lot of time on both the interior and the landscaping. We were able to sit outside in comfort, have a drink and just relax. They are very gracious and helpful hosts. The house is a short 10 minute drive to Saint Charles where there are many restaurants in the vibrant downtown area. It was nice to see a busy downtown in a small town. The house is very close to the Fox River and it is a nice area to walk. There are also many golf courses in the area to take advantage of. I would highly recommend Cheri and Paul's place if you are in the area.

Cheri is a great host. She made contact early in the process and maintained open communications. The listing is exactly as described with no surprises. The apartment is cozy and comfortable, my wife would call it "adorable". The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and the welcome basket Cheri provided was enough for my breakfast for the days I was there. The apartment is well furnished with very comfortable beds and bedding. This would be a great spot for a weekend or couple get away. I'd love to see the gardens in the summer.

Staying at Cheri's was truly a retreat. The secluded location near the woods and right on the river, along with the beautiful accommodations (and wonderfully comfortable bed!) made it such a great stay. The basket of homemade banana bread, fruit, and snacks was the icing on the cake. It was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful! I'd stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you for the amazing time!

Cheri's place was absolutely lovely and she was a gracious host. Beautifully landscaped yard filled with flowers, a lovely gazebo we unfortunately didn't have a chance to use. Quiet, out of the way, short drive to town, close to the river and great hiking trails. The apartment had a fully equipped kitchen and the welcome basket filled with goodies was delicious. We wish we could have stayed longer than one night! We couldn't have been happier with our stay and hope to return. Highly recommended.

I came to Batavia for a wedding with a small group and we stayed here at Mark's overnight. This is a big place! Our group took up 3 of the bedrooms and there was still plenty of room for his other guests which included some longer-term stays and international travelers. There was plenty of privacy and everyone was exceedingly polite. It's an older house (Mark noted that it predates sheetrock) but it's every bit as beautiful and charming as described. I highly recommend Mark's place to anyone passing through Batavia.

We had a great summer in this house. Sadia is such a kind, generous, humble lady. We was concerning about sharing the kitchen, the living room before we moved in, but it turned out we got along very well. We not only shared the kitchen, but also the food, culture, personal stories. It was a wonderful experience living here the whole summer. We also enjoyed Sadia’s art, which are creative, imaginative, and enthusiastic. We are going to miss the lovely house owner, the lovely house, and the fantastic summer here. We would love to come back!

Sadia is a wonderful host. You can be sure she will do her best to make sure you are comfortable during your stay. She's also very polite and respectful of her guest's space. I never felt bothered or overwhelmed by her. The home itself is a little older and could use some cosmetic touch-ups; however, it is clean and welcoming. The guest bathroom was spacious and well-kept. The bedroom had quite a few cosmetic marks and could use some updating (personal opinion). The bed was very standard, not uncomfortable, but not super cushioned. It is a good space, rather sizeable, with a large closet for storage. Overall, it was a worthwhile stay and I would recommend sadia's home. Just be aware that the home doesn't offer the most updated amenities. But it IS clean and comfortable, and Sadia is a great host and individual.

This was my first experience with Air B&B and it won't be the last. Steve was a gracious host. His large and lovely home was comfortable and very clean. There were three in our party and the 2 bedroom suite with adjoining bath was perfect for our needs. His 2 terriers are very well behaved. They are curious but focused on their owner. There are ample walking trails in the area to explore and plenty of shops to crawl in the towns along the river.

Steve has a beautiful home in a lovely neighborhood. The room was extremely comfortable, with a private bathroom connected to the suite. To make things even better, he has two of the sweetest dogs you could imagine, and he went above and beyond with the hospitality -- sending me off with a breakfast care package and even a free travel mug for my coffee. Highly recommended!
