Places to stay in Rockville

Places to stay in Rockville
Our A-Frame is a labor of our love and was built as such. A getaway to relax, hike and enjoy. Our place is quiet, rustic, rural and completely off the grid in nature. It borders Zion National Park and is only 140 feet from the East Rim Trailhead. Stargazing is stellar! You’ll love our place because of the location, the views, the ambiance, and the true outdoors space and memories. We bring the outdoors in and the indoors outside. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and friends.
The Space Upon arrival, you will park your car along the dirt road in one of the pull-offs and you will follow a wood chip and solar lit (at night) trail down a small ravine across a bridge with a seasonal stream and up another small ravine (about 150 feet in total) that is lined with beautiful Ponderosa Pines. On your left are the wildflower meadow and two lounge chairs for stargazing with no trees blocking the view. The view is 180 degree of stars at night. You can watch shooting stars and the International Space Station pass overhead when in view as well as explore the stars with the telescope. As you follow the trail and come to the top of the hill you will see the hammock to the left and the closed A-frame. Past the hammock is a bench and a small trail to an open area where there are Horseshoes and a small storage shed with Giant Jenga and cornhole boards/bags. There is an Adirondack loveseat adjacent to the A-frame. Proceed to the right and you will put in your code to the keyless door lock. From there you can open the A-frame and have an inside/outside room. Upon entering, you will notice that the natural sunlight is reflecting from the convertible wall and four other windows. Natural sunlight is everywhere. On the white storage cubes, you will find two binders: one is an A-frame manual with information about everything related to the A-frame, the bathroom, the BBQ area, and our property; the second binder has descriptions of different hikes you can take from the Stave Springs/East Rim Trailhead and other popular hikes as well as info on the surrounding area. Each one of the hikes has a map and a copy you can take with you in a sleeve within the book. There are games, coloring books, and cards located in a white cube and there is minimalist storage for your items as well as a luggage rack to keep the area clutter free for you. If you open up the A-frame wall or go out the front door and walk across the deck to the BBQ bar to look inside the Yukon ice chest there you will see see a block of ice, drinking water, and condiments in the wet cooler. The dry cooler on the opposite side of the bar contains some Smore’s fixings as well as candy/snacks in the basket for you. If you are Vegan or Vegetarian and do not eat marshmallows, let us know in advance and we will provide Vegan Marshmallows or leave a banana to roast. If you explore the lower cabinet of the BBQ Bar you will find plates, cups, utensils, cookware, and everything you may need to fix any meal. One of the greatest elements of this property is that it allows you to experience what off –grid living can be like with only minimal sacrifice. It has a solar system in place for the A-frame with an electrical outlet and a separate solar unit for the bathroom toilet. The natural light and convertible wall allows light to pour in and out and you can sleep with the wall open or shut. The water is from the local well and all water used is integrated to water the plants and trees. The special composting toilet allows for water conservation with no smell or mess common with a regular composting toilet. We spent 5 months designing and building this A-frame to make it a home away from home and a small piece of paradise away from our busy lives. Our goal was to make a place of peace, relaxation, and bliss where our memories could harvest new experiences. We wanted a place to be in nature as much as possible and where hiking was outside our door; and now we are sharing it with you. Now, stop and relax and breathe because this is what memories and vacations are about, not about the hustle and bustle of normal life. Sit in an Adirondack chair or patio chair that overlooks the ravine and wildflower meadow. If it tickles your fancy, relax and unwind in the hammock. Listen to the birds and wind rustle the trees. What you do on your vacation next is up to you. PLEASE READ ALL ITEMS BEFORE BOOKING! Read the entire section before making the reservation. So there are no surprises. You are in the Alpine wilderness and therefore you must have respect for it and be aware of a few items. *Ravine: You park on the graveled pullout along the dirt road or at the National Park parking and walk 150 feet or so down and back up a ravine. So if you have a lot of heavy items it will give you a workout. Trust me, we had to lug everything from wood beams to towels and it is tiring after a lot of trips. *Altitude/weather: you are at around 6,500 feet in elevation. If you have any heart problems and/or coming from sea level, you will notice a difference. The weather is also 9 to 13 degrees cooler than Zion National Park. Utah and Zion weather are unpredictable so bring warm and cool clothes. Layering is a must here if hiking. In the late summer/fall, there may be intermittent afternoon showers that last an hour or so. I love the afternoon showers because it gives me time to relax and enjoy the rainfall under the canopy of the convertible wall. It is all about perspective. *Water: The running water is unfiltered well water, so drink at your own risk. We provide you with several bottles of drinking water and a jug of drinking water. *Electricity: Solar Power is generated by sunlight and is stored in batteries. There is limited battery capacity that depends on the weather. If you leave lights on or the fan on, it can drain the batteries faster so be thoughtful when using the electricity. We have remote lights for the night as well as huge battery operated candles for evening ambiance. During the day the windows provide plenty of natural daylight. *Critters: You are in the wilderness. There are a lot of alpine critters on our property including squirrels, foxes, bats, Mexican Spotted Owls, California Condors, Peregrine Falcons, Bald Eagles, ravens, eagles, deer, turkeys, bunnies, coyotes, cougars (the cougar is not in area presently and not presenting any danger) and Rams have been seen on the East Rim Trail and 15 feet from the property. Additionally, Black Bear do live in the area but are very rare and usually come down only in the wintertime. So ...use caution and enjoy the alpine animals from a distance. Additionally, Rattlesnakes can be present in Southern Utah, especially in the summer (they like the alpine cooler weather). Please use caution if you see one and DO NOT bother it. *Bugs: You are in the wilderness and border two sides of the national park: there are lots of bugs that fly and crawl. There are spiders, moths, ants of all varieties, beetles, stump wasps, mosquitoes, black flies and horse flies. In Zion, I have heard of tarantulas and scorpions in some desert areas in the floor of the Zion Park (not usually in the alpine area). We have both natural and unnatural bug sprays at the A-frame but it never hurts to bring your own. We also have citronella tiki torches and sticks for mosquitoes but know that you are in nature at a remote location and therefore in a bug’s territory. There is not a large presence and we usually only notice a few at dusk. Bugs will be there regardless and most of the time not bothersome but know you will see some especially in a cabin that has a convertible wall. *Noises: During the day or night you might hear the birds, coyotes, turkeys, squirrels, deer walking around or other critters going about their daily life. The road is 150 feet away but hardly any traffic due to the trailhead not being well known, yet becoming more popular every year. People and the ranch rent ATV’s so you can hear them if they come down the road. It can be very quiet or can sound like a melody when the wind blows through the leaves or the ratty tat of the rain hitting the metal roof. It is all the beautiful noise and pieces that make this place so unique. *Convertible Wall: Presently we have gas spring mounted brackets to assist with opening and lowering the convertible wall. It is not hard for two people but still awkward. There is an additional brace (2x4) to help hold the wall up in the middle. This allows the legs to be lowered one by one or together, when two people are assisting. We thought about putting in a pulley system but it would cut into the view so we went with awkward for now. -With two people: *To open: you lift the wall from closed to open by pushing and lifting on integrity frame and once open, one person holds open the wall and one unlocks orange legs and places them vertically *To close: you reverse. So one person holds the wall up while the other lowers the legs and secures the lock. Then with the gas spring bracket you slowly lower. -For single guests: *We have a system to safely and slowly lower/raise the wall solo and we can help if needed. We will send you specific instructions and ask if help is needed. Everything listed above is what makes the A-frame so unique and amazingly different from other places. It is all about perspective and what experience you want to take out of it, hopefully, the above-listed items will enhance your stay and enjoyment. Here is what else is included in the property during your stay: ¬Toilet: Outside structure: The property has a urine diverting composting toilet. In our quest to provide our customers with a toilet that is as convenient to use and operate as a flush toilet, this system uses a continuously operating exhaust fan, and no mixing is necessary. NO Mess and NO SMELL. ¬Shower: Outside structure with the inside/outside door. So you can take a shower inside or open the sliding barn door to shower outside with a secluded nature view. Propane on demand hot water heater, low for water shower head and Cruelty-Free Shampoo, Conditioner and Soap provided. ¬Wash Basin to wash hands with water and soap and towels provided. ¬Linens and Towels included. Extra blankets and throws are in A-frame to make it cozy for you. ¬Fan and Heater. Since the A-frame is convertible and open to nature, we provide a fan to cool and a Big Buddy propane heater for heat. ¬Propane BBQ with a single side burner is provided for ease of cooking with a choice of how to prepare food. ¬Plates, cups, utensils: Biodegradable Paper plates, bowls and glass products provided. ¬Breakfast: My favorite modest breakfast starter of steel cut organic or organic rolled oatmeal and fruits with “fixings." I just like it because you boil the water, let it steep for 15 minutes and eat. Easy, delicious and nutritious for the early hikers. I am not listing a full breakfast because it is not a big enough meal for all, but for me it is divine. oApples oApricots oAlmonds oCraisins oRaisins oRaspberries oBlueberries oStrawberries oWalnuts oPecans oCoconut Flakes oCinnamon oBrown Sugar ¬Cooking tools: Pots and skillets, cooling utensils, silverware, knives and cutting boards, french press and coffee/tea provided. All soap, dish soap, and dish towels provided. ¬Yukon Igloo cooler provided for maximum chilling of foods (we provide ice block to keep it cold). There is also a small dry cooler with snacks and s'mores. ¬Margaritaville Explorer Cordless Frozen Concoction Maker by Margaritaville: Our secret indulgence: Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville Battery operated margarita/daiquiri blender Provided. (you provide crushed ice and beverages). Makes amazing Margaritas! Very Chill and relaxing to have an excellent margarita in nature! Where else offers you a perfect margarita in nature? It is my secret pleasure at dusk- but anytime is nice-- it is 5 o'clock somewhere! ¬Herb Container: Herbs can be cut fresh and put into meals. ¬Tiki torches and citronella oils provided (2 of them with bases). There are fairy lights and solar lights illuminating the main path. ¬Fire pit and firewood provided. Please keep fires moderate or mild in size due to forest fire risk! Fire screen and fire sticks for marshmallow or bananas (vegetarian/vegan way to make s'mores) provided. ¬Camp furniture: Adirondack chairs, ottoman, bistro dining set with small table provided. ¬Stargazing: telescope and lounge chairs in the meadow ¬Games: Board and card games provided as well as coloring and colored pencils (fun for relaxation). -Horseshoes and Giant Jenga playing area: supplies located in small shed. ¬Books on local hikes and Zion provided for use. Reading books are provided as well as magazines. ¬Water: A gallon of spring drinking water per day provided along with smaller bottles of water. Please provide your own Nalgene or bottles for hiking. Cups provided but nothing suitable for hiking. The spring water comes from Canyon Springs and Zion Ponderosa Ranch who provide the well water, but they do not use a filter system for their guests and deem it as potable water. I like filtering all water, so I will not describe the water as potable until it is multi-filtered. ¬Solar power is provided to A-frame but we like the battery operated Candles for ambiance. ¬Entry: Keyless Door lock provides security on the front door. We change periodically for the security of our guests. ¬Cart: to bring items from car to A-frame. There is a aero cart and a dolly near the shed. We are working on having dogs on the property, so inquire if you have an animal you want to bring. But due to the predator wildlife (coyotes, wolf, cougar), if your dog is a “runner” due to no fences except park fence, I would say it is not safe. Small dogs are not safe due to eagles (5.9-7.5 foot wingspan) and owls. If there are any questions, please contact us. We made this house with our ideas and dreams of what a perfect retreat for us would be and now share it with you. So, if there are suggested items needed please let us know. We hope your stay is a wonderful and blissful experience filled with great memories! Enjoy life- Britt and Mike
Our nearest neighbors are 500 feet away through the woods. The East Rim Trailhead is 140 feet away from the property and the East Rim Trail is 10 miles in total length. Depending on which trail you take, these hikes can be mild to strenuous with durations of 1/2 hour to 6 hours plus. East Rim Trail links with Weeping Rock , Cable Mountain, Deertrap Mountain, Hidden Canyon and Observation Point. Elevation change down into the canyon is roughly 2,150 feet. The plateau we are on is over 6,500 feet vs 4,000 feet on the park floor, which means while Springdale is 98 F/36 C degrees, you are at 85 F/29 C degrees at the A-frame (9-13 degree difference). It can be cool in the evening and during the summer warm to hot usually during the daytime hours of 1200-1600. The upper areas of the park are part of large plateaus and are less shielded from breezes so wind-chill is something to take into consideration. Late summer/early fall (July to October) has afternoon showers that last an hour or so. Weather for the park : nps.gov/ zion/ planyourvisit/ weather-and-climate. htm Phone for Zion National Park: 435. 772. 3256 The park information office is open between 8 am and 4 pm Mountain Time Historical Monthly Average Temperatures per Zion Ponderosa Ranch July 89 ° high, 58 °low precipitation is 1.25 August 86 °high, 57 °low and precipitation is 1.71 September 79 ° high, 48 ° low and precipitation is 1.23 October 71 ° high, 40° low and precipitation is 1.00 (last year was warmer 70's/45 -50's)
  • Book it now! You won’t regret it! My husband and I booked this last minute. We were married May 3rd and due to covid-19 our original honeymoon plans were canceled. Last minute we found Mike and Britts place available for a week after our wedding. IT WAS FATE! I couldn’t imagine only staying one night here, I feel like to get the entire experience you have to stay at least two nights minimum. Hey They provide everything you could possibly think of and more! We definitely over packed because we are planners but honestly we could have only packed meat to grill, shoes and clothes and would have been just fine! They thought of every detail from bug spray, towels, shampoo, seasonings and pans to cook, wood for the fire, coffee, oatmeal... and so much more! There is little to no service which is awesome because we get to un plug from the world and enjoy nature and each orders company! Speaking of nature we loved seeing the turkeys, squirrels and hummingbirds! It was so relaxing to make breakfast and lay in bed as we watched them just a few feet away. FYI- we are city folk and hearing the critters walk around at night was different.. or minds played tricks on us and took some getting use to 😂 We loved every minute! Britt even left us a special gift because she knew we were just married! They are exceptional hosts and reach out to make sure you have everything you need. We have already discussed going back for our one year anniversary! We can’t wait!

  • If you are looking for an amazing escape from everyday life, this is the spot! Not only is it the most adorable A-frame, but it is so peaceful and relaxing. The attention to detail from Britt and Michael on everything is amazing! It was clean and had so many amenities. Tons of little treasures around the area. Our favorite part was the turkeys that came to visit and the oatmeal bar. I would recommend this place a million times.

  • Dreamiest, cutest, most accommodating campsite ever! Britt and Michael have put so much time and effort into ensuring that their guests have a great time and it shows with how gorgeous they have set everything up. It was the most luxe and peaceful camping I’ve ever done and was the perfect little recharge! My boyfriend and I plan to stay at this spot again in the future. I cannot recommend this A frame enough!! We loved it SO much!

  • If you're going to Zion you have to stay here. Very relaxing and cozy, the best part was all the wildlife that surround you while you're there. Too many good things to say, you have to see for yourself.

Love the margarita mixer too! Great hiking in Zion out the front door. Super comfortable bed and chairs around the fire. Great communication with owners, I would highly recommend!

  • Beautiful views. Perfect for isolation. This cabin itself is more secluded than the others and definitely has the best view. We’ve stayed in these before and the experience keeps getting better the more prepared we are. Mindy is a great and accommodating host! You will not be disappointed with these cabins :) thank you for a great trip! We will see you again in the Fall!

  • Mindy’s tiny house is incredible; such a quaint little place to stay and enjoy how awesome nature is out here! The bathroom and shower was better than we expected, and the grill is really nice. That clear window is as cool as it looks in the pictures, in real life. A good place for more outdoorsy folks.

Our home is located on Zion Ponderosa Resort property, just 8 miles from the east entrance of Zion National Park. Come enjoy the peaceful serenity of our 3 acre property filled with Ponderosa Pines. Hikes like Observation Point (favorite), Cable mountain and others are just minutes from our home. Our home is perfect for accommodating a family or two out on summer vacation, but cozy enough for a couples weekend. Come enjoy seclusion while still being close to Zion, Bryce, and resort amenities!
Our beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home is set back on a 3 acre wooded lot. It is 1.7 miles inside the Zion Ponderosa Resort property, which is bordering the east boundary of Zion National Park. We are 8 miles from the east entrance of Zion. The lot is peaceful and quiet, the only usual noise is the swaying of the towering Ponderosa Pines. The home is perfect for a cozy get away for a couple, or a larger family looking to experience Zion, Bryce, and Zion Ponderosa Resort. Bedroom 1 is upstairs and has a queen bed with an on suite bathroom and walk in closet, sleeps 2. The closet is actually quite large and is usual where my wife and I set up a pack and play for our little ones, we provide a pack and play stored in this closet. Bedroom 2 is downstairs and has a queen bed with a closet, sleeps 2. Bedroom 3 is downstairs and has two bunk beds, both twin over full, also with a regular closet, sleeps up to 6. Bathroom 1 is located in the upstairs bedroom. Bathroom 2 is shared by the two downstairs bedrooms. Extra pillows and blankets are in each of the closets for the pull out couches. The kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking needs including fridge, stove, oven, water dispenser, pots, pans, cups, plates, utensils, crock pot, coffee maker, toaster, griddle, outside grill. The living room downstairs has a large sectional which has a pull out couch in it. There is a ottoman that has extra blankets, a 42" tv, dvd player, and a real wood burning fire place. The upstairs loft has two sofas, the sofa against the wood wall is a pull out couch. There is also a second 42" tv, and dvd player. Outside there is a full length front porch and back porch. Two large pick nick tables are out on the back deck for you to enjoy meals outside. There is a propane grill out on the back porch for your use. An outside fire pit is located on the west end of the house where you can roast smore's and and enjoy the beautiful night sky. The large surrounding Ponderosa pines provide shadowing for most of the property and house throughout majority of the day. Because of the shade provided, 6500 ft elevation, as well as fans all throughout the house the house stays nice and cool even in the summer. If cooler temperatures are desired in the house we have provided three A/C units that can be turned on. There is one in each of bedrooms 1 and 2 and also one for the common areas of the house. Also cracking a window and turning on the fans will cool it quickly in the evening. . In addition to the wood burning fire place there is also a furnace that will warm through the whole house. We have stayed in our cabin during both cold seasons and hot and have never had a problem with being too cold or hot. There is also a washer, but no dryer, just a clothes line to hang dry in the back yard. There are coin operated washer and dryer facilities available at Zion Ponderosa if needed. Everything is fully furnished for the house!
You will see very few people when at the house, which you will LOVE after spending a day in the busy park. Close by is Zion Ponderosa Resort that provides you with options of resort amenities, while still being able to retreat to privacy and serenity. Those you do see are likely traveling to explore the hidden gems of Observation Point (top out rather than bottom up), and Cable Mountain hikes. Either of these hikes will allow you to spend your day hiking seeing very few people, while providing an ending of what some consider the most spectacular view of Zion. It will take about 13 minutes to travel the 8 miles to the east entrance of the park. Depending on time of year and traffic, it will take about 35 minutes to get to the west end of Zion where the visitor center is. Bryce Canyon is about 1.5 hr drive, Grand Canyon 2.5 hr drive, Lake Powell 1.5 hr drive, Coral Pink Sand Dunes 45 min drive.
  • Very relaxing home and location! Got to see a lot of deer while we were up there! Great getaway from the city! No WiFi and bad phone signal in the home was also relaxing! If you want to disconnect from the city, this is your spot!

    Saul2020-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to get away from crowds or any other neighbors. We knew there were others in the area but didn’t really see them. Great base for exploring the east side of Zion and not too far for day trip to Bryce Canyon. We loved having the comforts of home and being able to sit out around a fire and stargazing like we were camping.

    Ryan2020-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay!

    Mathieu2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jake is a amazing host. We booked his place months back and was on point with hike recomadations and any questions I had regarding our reservation. At the time of our stay due to some weather issues we couldnt reach Jakes cabin but he went above and beyond to accomadate our group of 6 in a upgraded cabin down the road which was reachable and beyond what we excepted.Perfect for a much needed time away. In the future we will definitly reach out again to stay with any jakes cabins along the east enterance of Zion.

    Mallory2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Went above & beyond his responsibilities as a host. A winter storm was forecasted to come in and he switched us to a cabin that was closer to civilization / had pavement road access so we could safely arrive / leave. He didn’t have to do it, but he did. Cannot say enough positive things about him and the experience.

    John2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jake is a great host! Heavy rains had washed out the road to his house and he provided us a duplex to stay at. This was greatly appreciated!

    Terri2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time and thank you Jake for accommodating when it started raining/snowing.

    Andy2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Cost and quality wise is good enough that I will recommend to everyone.

Amazing views of the Watchman, small garden and quiet space in the heart of Springdale. The guest home is fabricated from a recycled shipping container. A mix of modern, rustic and trendy. Access to gardens, alcoves, fire pit, picnic areas through gates, and washer and dryer on the premise.
The space is ideal for a couple, someone visiting solo, or perhaps a father/son or mother/daughter vacation. Sleeps two in a super comfy Queen murphy bed that pulls down from the left wall.
Neighborhood is quaint and lovely! Close to everything! Enjoy!
  • The location could not be more convenient! If you’re heading to Zion, this is the place to stay. Perfect for two people who don’t mind being cozy in a smaller place. Everything you need to enjoy your trip, including an incredibly clean space

    Abby2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to experience staying in something different than the normal hotel, try this place! Location is perfect right outside of Zion national Park and near restaurants and shops! But the best part is knowing you’re staying in a tiny container and realizing how little space we actually need to live. Every inch of it was adorable! Have fun!!

    Kathy2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute tiny house! It was perfect for our Zion 1/2 marathon & national park adventure trip. The location was perfect for taking the shuttle to the 1/2 marathon and then being almost at the finish line. It’s located just a tiny walk to the grocery store. There’s an outdoor fire pit perfect for evening s’mores. Mavis was so helpful and so quick to respond to any questions we had. They even have laundry on site! Would definitely recommend this adorable tiny home.

    Calley2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I’m so happy I got to stay in Mavis’ lil container space. It had all of its conveniences, and it’s perfect for any solo or couple trip. I loved all the light that came in during the day, and also that I couldn’t hear my neighbors in the other container at all while I was there. It’s located in the heart of Springdale, which means you have everything close to you. I hope to be visiting again soon!

    Jessica2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Such a stylish and cute place! Loved being able to get the experience of a tiny home in the heart of Springdale.

    Lucy2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful interior design and great location if you are looking to visit Zion national park. Had a few issues with hot water in the shower during the stay, but overall was a great experience!

    Karan2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, comfortable little space! Really clean, easy, and relaxing. Perfect home base for my day of solo hiking at Zion. Can’t wait to get back again!

    Farahn2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • WOW. This is the perfect getaway. This tiny house is thoughtfully laid out and has absolutely everything you need and we were 100% comfortable as a couple there. Storing your luggage is completely doable, just find a corner. We were there in November and the space stayed as col or as hot as we wanted by simply opeing a window or turning on the heat. The shower actually feels spacious! Mavis was so kind and let us use ther fire pit to make s'mores one night and stare up at the stars! Melanie, Mavis's daughter is also one of the kindest people EVER! We screwed up our ride back to the airport and she kindly offered us a ride! (Not a typical service they provide, so don't go in expecting that! Just pointing out how sweet this family is.) Overall, we HIGHLY recommend! It's so close to everything you need including the town's only grocery store. We will be back!

Awesome reclaimed container home. Right in the center of Springdale. Gorgeous views and walkable to everything! Steps away from a grocery store and shuttle stops! Access to garden areas, alcoves, fire pits, and picnic tables. Washer and Dryer for guests use on premises.
Charming, quiet, unique neighborhood with trees and gardens.
  • Amazing location! It was wonderful to sit outside and admire the scenery so close to the entry to Zion National Park.

    Jordan2020-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Mavis’s place for 4 nights. It was wonderful from start to finish. Because of “vacation brain” I miscalculated my arrival and showed up a day early. We were met by a member of the family who immediately and graciously accommodated us for the additional night. We ended up staying in Bungalow A. The difference from B is that A has a Murphy bed instead of the couch fold out. The place is very small- as advertised, but it has everything you need. The bed was incredibly comfortable and easy to get up and down. My husband is 6’2” and he slept comfortably and the ceiling was high enough that he didn’t feel cramped. Coffee was supplied and everything was in working order. However- the star of the show is the location. It is less than 5 minutes to the South entrance of Zion. The mountains are visible through the windows and waking up in the morning was an absolute treat. Thank you so much!

    Melanie2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed it overall, awesome location walking distance to restaurants and groceries and shuttle stop, only thing to note is that it is a quite small space especially with bed unpacked and the hot water runs out fast so watch out for that!

    Dylan2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was definitely quite an experience! The container home was exactly as pictured and very welcoming. The windows don’t just allow the beauty of the outdoors in but also make the place feel more spacious. We stayed here for two nights while visiting Zion and enjoyed staying here just as much as visiting the park itself. The views during sunrise, sunset and the night sky were absolutely stunning from the home. I would definitely stay here again!

    Vero2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely place to stay in the heart of Springdale. Located only a short distance from Zion's Visitor Center, the local grocery store and plenty of cute cafes and places to eat! The hosts were wonderful - accommodating would be an understatement. For the two of us, the space was cozy, and we felt at home immediately upon arrival. Just what we were looking for. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend!

    Jessi2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect location with gorgeous glimpses of the surrounding Zion ridges...close to all the best parts of Springdale including the local grocery store and best restaurants. Cozy and well appointed - a perfect "base camp" for our Zion excursions.

    Paul2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Mavis's place is conveniently located near a supermarket, gas station, and plenty of restaurants with easy access to Zion National Park. In the morning, the views outside were spectacular. Be aware, the space inside is very limited and hot water for showers is limited. Mavis does a wonderful job providing many amenities of home despite the small area and it was a fun challenge to find room for our cold weather clothes and luggage. All in all Mavis's place is quiet and a charming spot to enjoy Utah's beauty.

  • We’re really grateful we could check in so last minute , we were driving from LOS ANGELES to COLORADO , a last minute trip , and needed to find a midway spot to sleep before we continue the long journey . Kevan & Lora were gracious to let us book around 10 pm and check in at 330 am, with a convenient code . Also they let us check out at 330 pm , so that we could get a full days in, and feel like we got our money’s worth . So grateful for the clean bathroom and bedroom . The bed was super comfortable and the decor in the bathroom so nice ! The floor and heat lamp were nice touches , and we appreciated the q-tips , and razor . We cooked in the kitchenette and also used the fridge , and cleaned the dishes in the bathroom sink with the soap and utilities provided . We definitely couldn’t sleep in well since we could hear a lot of noise , kids playing etc but it’s our fault for checkin In so late , so as long as you wake up early then it will be fine :)

The Desert Tortoise Room, our smallest, is downstairs and sunny with queen-sized bed, easy access, and full private bath. The window faces our spacious front lawn and enormous pecan trees. Each of our four guest rooms has their own secure lock and key.
Set back from the main road, there are four comfortable bedrooms to offer, each with their own full private bathroom. Three rooms are queen-sized, one king, with extra bed options if needed. One room is on the ground floor with easy access. PLEASE NOTE: for the safety and well-being of all our guests, staff, and community, we ask that our guests practice social distancing in our common areas. To further support the safety of our guests and staff, we have (sadly) temporarily restricted access to our communal kitchen. The silver lining, however, is that we are now offering opt-in breakfast cards from several of our favorite local eateries. Please contact us for details. 2 Cranes Inn invites guests to relax and mingle in our many common areas, including the lounge, dining area and communal kitchen. Learning from our time working at a local outfitting/guiding shop, and mindful of the many different food preferences and allergies, we offer a different model than a typical B&B prepared breakfast, so you can better plan your meals in any way befitting your adventure schedule and eating routines. In our large and fully equipped communal kitchen you will hopefully find all you need, including complimentary fresh-ground coffee, an assortment of teas, a room-specific cupboard for all your shelf-stable items, and a shared refrigerator. There are some convenient food items available (oat meals, juices, non-dairy milks, trail bars, late snacks) especially helpful if you happen to arrive late. Outdoors, guests are welcome to relax on the wrap-around porch and use the large gas grill on the covered back patio. There is a large sandstone-lined fire pit and extensive garden with fruit trees in which to meditate, or swing in a hammock. There is also a large river-stone and grass walking labyrinth in which to wind, and unwind. To support and enhance your canyon retreat experience there are no televisions. Our free high-speed wireless internet is available throughout the property should you need to dip back into the digital world during your stay. There is also a digital printer available for guest use.
Offset from the main road just the right amount, we are close enough to Zion and Springdale to be very convenient, but a vacationer's sanctuary in quieter Rockville.
  • This cozy BNB is perfect for an escape from the park and crowds. We had an amazing time as a couple and would recommend to anyone

  • We didn’t meet Lisa and Lizette in person during our stay but they are very responsive before and during our stay. Their sweet home has everything you need and the room is very comfortable and clean. The host also has all the amenities. We had a great time at the Airbnb and glad that we choice it for our trip to Zion National Park. Will recommend it!

    Anan2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this space! The location was ideal. We were only a few minutes from the amenities, food, and charms of Springdale, and only about 15 minutes from Zion. We loved waking up each morning to the sun coming into the breakfast nook and having the ability to cook our own breakfast and prepare our own lunches in the kitchen space. Lisa and Lizette provided excellent recommendations before our trip on where to shop for groceries and eat in Springdale. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again and recommend to a friend!

    Melanie2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is adorable, such a lovely home! The great neighbors and their horses even gave the stay an amazing feeling of that Zion love! I will definitely be staying here if it's available when I get back to Zion.

    Daniel2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa and Lizette's place is fantastic! Cute house about a 5-10 min drive from Springdale/the park entrance. It was clean, well-equipped, and homelike. Overall, it facilitated a great stay in Zion, and would recommend to anyone interested.

    Cristian2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space - the same beautiful views as Springdale without the crowds!

    Emily2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • This is truly an exceptional space. Big with spirit and with organization. (And how often does _that_ happen?) The proprietesses are making a sustainable airbnb rental, one that enables you to live like you live, or like you aspire to live, in terms of no-waste, plant-basedness, mindfulness. Besides which, the rooms are wonderfully comfortable and the grounds/facilities are superb. Fire outside? Got it. Windowed breakfast nook with sun? Check. Terrific pillows for your bed plus a meditation-type cushion? Covered. Sharing library? Separated waste streams? The BEST STOCKED KITCHEN in any airbnb, anywhere? All checked. And besides that, the way the rooms / kitchen are set up, you are able to have the communitarian OR the isolatarian life that you want. How can you beat it? (You can’t, you don’t want to, just book a space and be here.) We spent four or so days at 2 Cranes, enjoyed Zion to the fullest (it’s a 15-minute drive to the park entrance and the space offers its own shuttle to trailheads), during a low-point in the season in terms of population, but a high point in terms of the beautiful canyon’s accessibility. You can’t go wrong. Come. Here. Now.

We encouraged you to just crawl out of your new bed and come for breakfast in the cozy robes that are provided for your stay…..just like home. French pressed Dark Roast coffee is served with breakfast….but if you can’t wait, our great room coffee/tea center has a Keurig that is available to you 24/7. And, for your convenience, each room has its own designated refrigerator in the guest kitchen. Full breakfast with lots of healthy options available except in the winter months.
As minimalists, we have provided just enough to assure your comfort, in the nicest ways. You will find the Inn more than comfortable, with all needs met beyond expectation. The bedding is luxurious. The towels are large and fluffy. Bath products, loofa, and hair dryers are all in place for you. And the mattresses are so comfortable! The Veranda is a favorite spot to spend time in the evening with others and a glass of wine and the Gazebo is lovely for homemade dinners.
So close to Zion but quiet and quaint is the town of Rockville.
  • All I can say is WOW. Such a beautiful, pristine, and extremely classy home and vibe that Lezlie has created so close to Zion. She’s such a kind hearted person and cooks the most delicious food! Super grateful for the experience, thanks Lezlie.

  • Heller House completely exceeding our expectations and that’s not just because of the excellent doggy cuddles. The small touches like laundry, complementary socks, bonfire pit and personal fridge for each room really make the difference. It’s obvious Lezlie really understands travellers and how to make a place feel like home.

    Ben2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb is literally the best one we have stayed in so far. The space felt welcoming and very special. Lezlie makes sure you have everything you need and more. Bronxy, her dog, is the perfect addition for travelers that are animal lovers and miss their pets! He was truly so lovely and cuddly. Our time in Zion couldn’t have been better!

  • Expect to stay in an incredibly cozy, charming space. Megan and Bob are extremely knowledgeable of the area and were always willing to share advice. My only thought to share is that if you are on the tall side, you may have trouble with the low shower head in the bathroom. Other than this, we enjoyed our time in Zion National Park immensely and would recommend this to any adventurer or hiker.

  • Megan and Bob are fantastic hosts at this traditional-style bed and breakfast. We never felt awkward sharing their home as they both welcomed us when we wanted to talk and left us alone when we wanted to be left alone. We had a choice between two bedrooms rooms off the west side of the house with a connecting bathroom that was easy to lock. We felt very comfortable. Excellent price considering the location, hosts, and how they make delicious healthy breakfasts every morning! Easy parking near their orchard and only 2 miles from the shuttle stop (walkable!). They us great tips and were very easy to communicate with. We'll definitely be back if we're in the area again and we strongly recommend these hosts!

  • This Airbnb is a great place to stay if you are in the Zion/Bryce area! It was so clean. After long days hiking and exploring, it was nice being able to drive back and relax. It was a bit far from Bryce Canyon, and half hour from Zion. Overall a great stay!

I love living one minute drive from Utah's highest rated coffee shop!! Guests rave about it for a lovely view while dining for delicious breakfast lunch or dinner. We live in a friendly and quiet neighborhood and during good weather feel free to take a walk past Confluence Park which is also a one minute drive from my home for easy beautiful hiking. We live close to gas stations, and a large grocery store and many restaurants.
  • This space felt so safe and was very comfortable and clean and cute. Karina was very nice and responsive if I had questions. Also it was a self check-in without sharing space with others which was perfect!

Our cabin, located on the backside of Zion, offers a one of a kind experience. The cabin is serene, cozy and secure. Relax on the deck with breathtaking mountain views or enjoy stellar stargazing through the skylight above the bed. You'll find this site offers a true outdoor experience, while only minutes from local restaurants and grocery stores. Strategically located, the site provides access to several National & State Parks. We happily welcome couples, solo adventurers, families and friends.
This is a glamping cabin that offers an outdoor experience, with the comforts of a bed and other amenities. There is no running water to the cabin, but solar power is available for small devices and lamps. Please note that the bed is lofted and is only accessible by ladder. There is a large skylight above the bed to allow for spectacular nighttime views. Downstairs, the coffee bar has a hinged window to enjoy the stellar mountain views inside the comfort of the cabin. There is a small kitchen setup with a camping stove, pans, dishes, and other misc. items. If you prefer to be outside, the deck also gives an incredible 360 view of the area. A fire pit is also available to complete the glamping experience. The site is set on 95 acres of wilderness, private property that sits at the base of the Canaan Mountains. It is easily accessible by any vehicle. It is located very close to the Maxwell Park entrance, so some traffic can be heard as the park is visited frequently by vehicles and ATV's throughout the day and sometimes into the night.
Traveling to the glamping site takes you through the town of Hildale. For those that do not already know, it is known for being the home of many FLDS members who dress in solid colored dresses. There are several weathered and unfinished homes, but the glamping site takes you away from all of this. Hildale is located approximately 45 minutes by car from Zion's West entrance. There are several local hikes close to the site that encapsulate Southern Utah beauty, with less crowds.
  • This cabin was perfect! The view is amazing and the cabin had everything we needed. The small park just outside the camp had water pumps and clean bathrooms. The cabin also provides a large water jug to store water. We also forgot a few cooking supplies and to our surprise we found everything we needed to cook and wash our dishes. The hosts are quick to respond and super helpful.

    India2020-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place in an amazing location! Beautiful views of the canyon and amazing stargazing at night. This is a glamping situation so no running water but there’s a park right near by. They provide containers for the water and all the stuff you need to have a nice stay- including ingredients for s’mores! Hopefully I can come back.

    Ali2020-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is truly a wonderful place full of many thoughtful touches and intentional additions that make it feel like a home away from home. As other reviewers have mentioned, it can get a bit chilly at night so bringing layers and/or an extra blanket is advisable. The lofted bed is comfy and relatively easy to access via the ladder- and this is coming from a person with an irrational fear of heights. The lot is totally private even though it is not far from the road leading to a public park with potable water and restrooms. I loved the added touch of the firepit being prepped ahead for us and ready to light and enjoy upon arrival. I only wish we could have stayed for more than one night. We will definitely be back!

    Alli2020-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the location and the views and the cabin

    Todd & Asmaile2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The view from this place is unreal. I could've just sat there for days and looked up at the rock walls. This is a great glamping situation. The toilets are a 2 minute walk away, and they're at a nice park facility. The front porch with the chairs and fire pit are a lovely touch. Especially with the hanging lights. The inside of the tiny house has some chairs and theres lamps, water, some snacks, toilet paper, and a stove where you can do some cooking. We used it to make some hot water. It was a bit chilly (we were there in mid March), so if you have warm clothes or a blanket, I'd bring it inside. Other than that, it's quiet and such a lovely slice of heaven.

    Leah2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very kind and quick-to-respond hosts and a lovely space with the most beautiful of all views! If you have asthma or health issues please be aware the elevation is super high and could cause unexpected symptoms. I do recommend also bringing layers if it’s cold :) Thanks again for hosting us, Austin and Esther!

    Annie2020-03-14T00:00:00Z

Our cozy guest suite is clean and comfortable. With a mini kitchenette (no range), a full bath, a common area, and a separate bedroom, it's a great place to spend your evenings after a day of adventure in beautiful Southern Utah. We are 21 miles from Zion's National Park. We are within walking distance of La Verkin confluence park and the Virgin River. We also offer light breakfast foods to get you on your way in the morning.
We live in a safe, quiet cul-de-sac, with friendly neighbors. Children frequently play in our yard. We live just blocks from the Virgin River ravine. La Verkin does not have much of a night life. If you want to hit clubs and/or bars, you would have to travel to Springdale or to St. George.
  • Cozy and homey place with everything that you need! The juices, water, and breakfast items were a great add too. Very grateful for those

    Kevin2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect place to stay between day hikes at Zion. Tossinee's place is lovely, clean, comfortable, and about exactly 30 mins drive from Zion. Breakfast fixings and trail snacks were a nice addition.

    Deirdre2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • I was in town to run the Zion half marathon and this space worked out great. Easy access to Zion, a quiet neighborhood, and a close by grocery store. It was really clean and comfortable.

  • Beautiful place and perfect for our trip. Tossinee was very thoughtful and kind. Making sure we had everything we needed. Would love to stay again and would highly recommend! Thank you!

  • We stayed for a weekend getaway at Zion and everything about our experience was great.

    Alex2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Tossinee's was exactly as described and a great place for a couple people to stay if exploring Zion. The place was super easy to check in to, very clean, and had everything we needed (and more)! Tossinee was always available if we needed anything. Could not have asked for a better home base for the park - quieter than Springdale and easy drive.

    Jessie2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • This stay was awesome. Just 40 minutes from the South entrance of Zion national park and 20 minutes from St.George making this an ideal location to stay As for the place itself, it was sparkling clean, very well organized and had all the amenities as promised. In addition , I loved how there were cereal bars , cofee pouches , fruit juices and milk in the fridge. The bathroom had many towels , mouthwash , shaving cream , moisturizer and soap. Overall - a fantastic place to stay if you intend to visit Zion and perfect value for money. For 35$ a night , there is no better place.

Private cozy cabin, perfect for a get away to visit the majestic rocky mountains. Located in local canyons with natural springs. Private parking, fire pit and covered porch to watch the rain or the beautiful Arizona sunsets. Great hiking and close to Southern Utah, Northern Arizona sight seeing/recreation parks. Centrally located between Zions, Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell, Grand Canyon, and MANY MORE. Private fire pit. Second cabin available #1 if this one is full. Additional Pet fee 15.00.
Because of the remote, private area of the cabin there is no electricity or running water. However there is solar lighting as well as a solar shower and heat. AND second cabin for larger groups! The cabin is a small quaint spot for you to relax inside, on the porch or around the fire pit. A single person cot is under the bed in the cabin for a 3rd guest if needed. Additional pet fee $15. It is secure and a STEP up from glamping!
Slot Canyons > Zion National Park > Grand Canyon-Water Canyon Angular rocks, in the narrows of Water Canyon The huge sandstone cliffs of Zion National Park continue southwards on the far side of the Virgin River, where the land rises to the Eagle Crags and Canaan Mountain, this latter an extensive, elevated plateau of brownish-red Navajo sandstone, heavily fractured and eroded, forming countless hoodoos, domes, pinnacles and small ravines. The southwest side of the mountain drops down to the Vermilion Cliffs, the underlying component of the Grand Staircase, and is mostly sheer, split only by several narrow, steeply-sloping ravines. Two of the drainages have a recognized trail, providing routes up to the slickrock wilderness on top of the mountain; these are Squirrel Creek and Water Canyon, both just north of the twin towns of Hildale and Colorado City, either side of the Utah-Arizona border. Water Canyon is more popular because the hike to the high country is shorter, and encounters the best scenery; the ravine contains a permanent stream, flowing through an succession of beautiful cascades, pools and slot-like passageways. The narrows are not very long, separated by wider sections and interrupted by waterfalls, but are still quite spectacular. The trail through the canyon passes right through the lower narrows then climbs above, but other enclosed sections can be seen by hiking back down, away from the path. Due to the easy access, the relatively simple obstacles and lack of regulations (all this area is BLM land), Water Canyon is a popular place to learn or practice technical canyoneering.
  • The little cabin was perfect for what we needed. The location is beautiful and the little cheese/frozen yogurt stand was a nice little bonus. Would highly recommend staying here!

    Ryan2020-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect weekend getaway at Rebecca’s cozy cabin! If you are on the fence about booking, just do it! Priceless views and super close (a few miles) to Water Canyon - views of Zion without the crowds. Rebecca took extra precaution with making sure everything was clean and sanitized, so we felt super safe staying there. Right outside the cabin is a local dairy shop with fresh cheese and frozen yogurt - definitely recommend! We packed as if we would on a normal camping trip and brought extra water (a large case from Costco) and didn’t have any problems.

    Brooke2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • We appreciated the hospitality and this beautiful cabin. We had a blast and loved the location. It is near a huge park that is walking distance and right next to a little creek that was great to explore. We went on several hikes throughout the weekend but our favorite by far was Water Canyon! We enjoyed the views from the porch and personal fire pit outside. Unfortunately, our neighbors were a bit rowdy with there loud music, shouting, and constant smoking and also extremely messy--We could barely use the port-a-potty because they trashed it. But other than that we truly enjoyed our stay at this airbnb. We highly recommend it, just be prepared for a typical camping trip since it has no running water or electricity!

    Rubi2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin was the perfect getaway and exactly what my partner, dog and I needed for a weekend off the grid. The directions were really easy to follow, but I agree with other reviews saying to try to arrive in the daylight to make sure you don’t get lost trying to find it. Make sure to bring everything that you would need for a car camping trip, including soap to wash your dishes and clean up. The porta potty was so clean and I’m glad it was there! Make sure to bring extra water and extra water containers with you. There is no water on the property but there’s a public pump at the park which is maybe a 2 minute drive away.

    Dani2020-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to have a step above glamping. The view is literally incredible. The little cabin is perfect with multiple little lanterns and an overhead solar light and camping stove and heater that was perfect for our stay. And I have never seen a cleaner port a potty, I mean not a spec of red sand when we arrived in the port a potty which is impressive considering it's litterally all red sand out there. Definitely will stay anytime we go to Zion!!!

    Janie2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Not sure if I missed in the description that that shower is just a bag full of water with a small hose and I didn’t see a note about how to warm it so it was quite cold given that it is March. We did make use of the heater and needed extra blankets for the time of year. We thought it was a great location for our many plans, but it is definitely not for the faint of heart give the bag it is more off-grid than typical camping. It was nice to have a private fire pit - We will definitely be back and make sure to use it next time as long as it doesn’t rain like it did this time. :)

    Caitlin2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca’s cabin was a really special and amazing stay! The views were incredible and it felt remote while still being accessible to the small town of Hildale (only a 5 minute drive to a well stocked gas station if you need any supplies). Bring firewood to enjoy the fire pit! The cabin itself was really well equipped and comfortable. Though we were prepped for camping as we were on a longer trip, the cabin was stocked with things to make the stay very comfortable — a camp stove, propane heater, cooking supplies, and solar lights. There is a trail down to a riverbed next to the cabin where we saw lots animal prints. We loved staying in this cabin.

  • The McGregor's place is a gem. We enjoyed our luxury camping experience with the sparkling clean bathrooms that is within walking distance from our tent. The nature scenery was amazing with beautiful sunset and many stars at night. My kids really enjoyed the smores that they made with the camp fires. The only thing that was not provided at the camp site was the BBQ rack. Good thing we brought our own portable gas stove. The $20 big bundle of firewood is decent to keep us warm at night. The communication through text with the owner was reasonable. Thank you McGregor's brother for offered to find us a frying pan because we've forgotten ours. The location was pretty close to Zion National Park. We would love to stay here again in the near future.

  • My brother and I stayed here for a night in early July and were so amazed by the beatuiful scenery and camp site. We were super comfy in our tent and Zion was only about an hour away!

Located in the historic 101 Rancho, this cozy apartment is part of an ongoing restoration of this famous pitstop. The apartment has been restored to period with the addition of a few modern amenities. Surrounded by working farms, and just a "stones throw" from Zion National Park, the 101 is the ideal place to set up your home away from home.
Built in 1942, the 101 operated as a market, tavern and gas station for over 60 years. Willie Nelson, Robert Redford, Jane Fonda and others performed here in music and film. The establishment closed in 2008 but reopened in 2017 as a restoration project. The completed project will include a re-opened market and additional rentals.
The 101 is on the far east side of the town of Virgin, and is entirely comprised of rural residences. Virgin is 10 miles from the entrance to Zion National Park, and is surrounded by some of the best hiking and mountain biking trails in the world. Virgin hosts Red Bull Rampage annually and owns and operates a professional BMX track. The 101 is near everything, but remote enough to provide a peaceful retreat from the chaos of travel.
  • This place was absolutely fantastic! We loved how close it was to Zion. The hosts were extremely generous and let us stay a few more hours due to the cancellation of our flight. We stayed there a week and it was the perfect place. We loved the cute fridge and microwave. The neighbors around us were also very friendly and offered us bread.

  • Great place to stay when visiting Zion! Very close to the park and places to eat. 10/10 recommend.

  • Please stay here if you want your expectations exceeded!! I wasn’t sure what to expect pulling up but the place was perfect for my girlfriend and I. Quiet, spacious, warm, and ridiculously close to Zion. Homegrown pistachios offered in addition to many more amenities. Will be back soon!!!! Thanks for the amazing stay.

  • Great place to stay for trips to Zion NP! Excellent communication and very clean apartment!

    Jordan2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • The place was better than what we had expected! It’s super cute and perfect since it’s so close to Zion National park. They were super nice and even brought us a bottle opener late at night when we needed it. I would book here again for sure.

    Shannon2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay here! It’s really close to Zion NP entrance. It’s such a cute cozy apartment with thoughtful touches. There’s a Keurig with coffee, hot chocolate, apple ciders cups. They left out oatmeal for a quick, easy breakfast. Gene and his wife even allowed us a later check out time so that we could shower after our morning hike before having to head to the airport. Would definitely recommend!

    Hannah2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This location is a hidden gem. Make sure you have the GPS on when you are going as you might miss the entrance. This place is very welcoming and relaxing. Make sure you do your shopping and dining before you arrive as it is a short 15 minute drive from Zion. You can heat up food if you bring back any left overs. They were so welcoming, very responsive to my messages, and accommodating. The shampoo and conditioner dispensers were a thoughful plus since we actually forgot to pack that! The decoration and appliances make this a great place to relax because it feels like home. If I come back to Zion I would stay here again!

  • This place was so nice we had to stay an extra day. The home was cozy and for a small price we were able to bring our small dog ❤️ the room had everything we needed and a beautiful view. The location was also perfect, it was probably the closest Airbnb we could have gotten to the Zion national Park. I will definitely come back to this Airbnb if we come back to Utah!

  • What a great place to stay. The room was wonderful and had everything one would need to be comfortable. The view was an added bonus. Debbie was a wonderful host and I would definitely stay there again!

  • This suite was the perfect little hideaway. We loved the private entrance and were able to park on a driveway close by. Amenities were perfect including a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee. This spot was just the right size for one person but I believe there’s room for 2. Deb was quick to reply to questions and check in was quick and easy. We will definitely stay again!

    Jana2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie’s space is one not to overlook! It’s great that it has a private entrance so we could come as late as we wanted or leave as early without disturbing people! It was great to have Netflix, Disney+, etc after a long day out exploring and it was available on short notice which was great. 10/10 would recommend!

We also have on property a coin-opp laundry room. A large fire pit is available for guests to enjoy.
  • Definitely worth it! There’s a cute fire pit and the bathrooms are actually pretty good. We weren’t expecting g much, but the tent is very clean!

    Cheryl2020-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Hideaway was more than I could ever ask for. 5/5! The tent was amazing, it had A/C for the day, an electric heater for the night, and the bed was clean and comfortable to sleep in. The bathrooms were also very clean. The views and the surrounding area were beautiful. They have a full backyard style grill that I cooked all my meals on. It is located on an RV park, but the park was nice, quiet, and the location of the tent was perfect. I would definitely come back, and I recommend staying here if you're looking for an upscale glamping experience.

  • It's a cute space in a good location. We enjoyed ourselves.

    Kat2020-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Just know this is in an RV Park. We expected it to be a little more camping like. But we’ve never stayed at an RV Park so didn’t know what to expect. We loved all the outdoor hikes and things to do all around the area. The actual tent space was clean and perfect for a few night getaway. Loved the lights on the outside at night! She left things we didn’t know to bring like soap and towels for the bathroom because they didn’t have any in there so I was thankful she had those things there for us! The heater at night helped a ton! We were never too cold or too hot. We heard a lot of people around us in RVs sometimes but we really were only there too sleep so it wasn’t that bad.

  • Great place!

    Karim2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Such a wonderful place to stay! 45 minutes outside of Zion NP but such a pretty drive and really didn’t seem too bad, especially compared to other locations to stay. Very clean and cozy! We had cold rain one night and used the heater until bedtime, then turned it off, and we were warm all night. Also a heated blanket is a great touch! The community showers are clean and a quick walk away. Would highly recommend!

We are in a great location to enjoy nature away from the busy city or parks but a central location to take a day trip to see the parks! Our town has many coffee shops, and some great places to eat! Note: we are in a great location between many of the parks... We are 105 Miles from the North Rim of the Grand canyon. (The North Rim of the Grand Canyon is closed from December 1st-May 1st). Our home is also close to the Choral Pink Sand Dunes (22 miles), Kanaraville Falls (51 miles), Antelope Canyon (122 Miles), Bryce Canyon (117 Miles), Lake Powell (112 miles), etc.
  • Kristin’s place was amazing! We stayed here to explore Zion and it was the perfect place. If you’re considering doing the same, I highly recommend the Barista Suite!!

    Glynnis2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best experiences I’ve had with an Airbnb host. Everything is clearly marked to make you feel right at home. The host responds to questions quick. The patio is spacious, the view is spectacular, and the hot tub was very relaxing. The indoor space is very neat and has everything you would need. They have a guest book that is very helpful. If you love to start your day with a good cup of coffee, this is definitely the place for you! I’m already planning my return trip!

    Patrick2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We stumbled on the Barista suite and so happy we did. My favorite Airbnb ever!

    Sharon2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The Barista Suite has so many thoughtful touches and was exactly as pictured on its airbnb page. It was a great jumping off point to visit Bryce Canyon (2 hr drive) and Zion National Park (1 hr drive). And the hot tub was a great way to relax after a long day of hiking! Kristin was also very communicative and answered all of our questions and requests quickly (all around great host!). There is not much of a town in Hildale so be aware that you’ll have to drive about 30-40 mins to find a good selection of restaurants, etc.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed here for his birthday weekend and we were blown away at how beautiful the space was. From the coffee and muffins to the relaxing hot tub and fire pit. Such a relaxing and quiet stay and we will definitely be back!

    Kelsey2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about the Barista suite was amazing. Check in was effortless and easy, the little personal touches were perfect and our stay was relaxing. Bonus points that my husband and I loved that the whole place revolved around the theme, a barista's theme of coffee and how to make different kinds. Thank you for a wonderful weekend! We will definitely recommend to friends and family who are looking for a weekend away from the hustle and hectic life of the city.

  • The home is roughly 30 minutes from Zion, making it a convenient base for the park. Bit’s family is lovely and accommodating to my slightly odd request for super glue (watch strap broke). They even gave good tips for where to go for dinner. I would highly recommend them

Heading to Southern Utah with family or friends? You deserve a comfortable, spacious place to call your own, where everybody gets a comfortable place to sleep. This airy home can easily accommodate 6 people, with a bathroom, a kitchen, and a cozy living room. Rockville is conveniently located just 4 miles from Zion National Park and among some of the country’s most beautiful desert scenery. Enjoy the jaw-dropping views from your living room couch or get out and explore!
There’s no better way to make lifelong memories with family or friends than to share outdoor adventures. And our loft-style home is the perfect place to do so. This unique space includes a studio layout, with a shared bedroom containing 2 queen beds and a set of full-size bunk beds. It’s like having a big sleepover, but instead of sleeping beds, you’ve got luxurious mattresses and high-quality linens! The grand living room features vaulted ceilings and oversized windows, so even when you’re indoors, you can enjoy the mountain views. Living room furnishings include a big couch, a flat-screen TV, a cozy fireplace (perfect on chilly winter nights), and desert-inspired artwork. And a home would just be a regular old house without a kitchen, so we’ve got a fully-equipped kitchen with everything you’d need to feed even a group of ravenous teenagers. Appliances include a microwave, a dishwasher, a full-size fridge/freezer combo, and a plug-in stovetop, plus all the dishes, utensils, pots, and pans necessary to inspire your inner Iron Chef. There’s also a dining table that seats 4. To keep you comfy year-round, the entire home is climate-controlled, with A/C and heat. We have lots of storage space so you can unpack and really feel at home, and you can enjoy two private patios with stunning vistas. And to easily send brag-worthy photos to your friends and family back home, we have WiFi throughout the house.
Rockville, UT, United States Located smack-dab between St. George and Kanab, Rockville lies on the southern end of Zion National Park. Our home is just about 4 miles from Zion, so you can spend more time enjoying the trails and less time getting to them! There are also many trails and scenic areas outside of Zion that are within a short drive of Rockville. In short, it’s heaven for hikers, mountain bikers, and any lover of the outdoors. The closest area for shopping, restaurants, and other necessities is the town of Springdale, which is less than 5 minutes by car from our home. Just head out on Zion Park Boulevard, and you’ll be there in no time, and if you continue through the main drag of Springdale, you’ll end up at the entrance to Zion. We’re major fans of the Mexican food at Don Pedro’s and the breakfast goodies at MeMe’s - both in the heart of Springdale. Eager to get out and explore? In addition to Zion, we have a couple favorite trails in the area. Check out the Huber Wash Trail (relatively easy and has these cool petrified wood formations) and the Eagle Crags Trail (more difficult and just over 6 miles long). If you’re intrigued by the petrified wood, don’t miss the Chinle Trail, where you’ll find an entire petrified wood forest and some nice elevation changes. And when you’re ready for a break from hiking (it happens to the best of us), we recommend visiting the Grafton Ghost Town (15 minutes away by car) or taking a day trip to Cedar City (about 1 hour north), especially during the Shakespeare Festival.

The Red Fox Room is our peaceful upstairs den room with a king-sized bed, full private shower and tub bath, and northern mesa and canyon views. Great for sleeping late.
  • This place was outstanding, lovely in every way. Very close to Zion National Park. Lots of nice touches in the bedroom and bath, as well as in the common areas inside and outside. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

  • What an amazing experience. The two cranes was everything I’d want in a stay. It was incredibly clean. Lots of homey touches and they thought of every small detail, which restaurants are open and what they enjoyed. Really great. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Zion

  • My fiance and I loved the place, Lisa and Lizette have a beautiful home thats absolutely welcoming. There were other guests staying over who got up real early and began cooking some bacon, which filled up the house with bacon smell, I personally don't mind but my fiance being a vegan was a bit uncomfortable. The kitchen has everything you need, including some drawers reserved for each room to use. Its located very close to the entrance of Zion national park so it's a great option for visiting the park. We would definitely recommend staying here.

  • Lisa and Lizette's 2 Cranes Inn is a great place to call home while traveling in and around Zion. Great location, amazing amenities, comfort and relaxation after excursions in beautiful Utah.

  • The 2 Cranes Inn lived up to every expectation. Not only was it sparkling clean and incredibly well appointed, but there were also many personal touches that made it extra special. Everything in the inn was very socially an environmentally conscious. The view out the window is breathtaking. And you can’t beat the location...minutes from Zion and quiet and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything we needed. We will definitely return to Zion and stay here again.

And the mattresses are oh so comfortable! The Veranda is a favorite spot to spend time in the evening with others and a glass of wine and the Gazebo is lovely for homemade dinners.
So close to Zion but quiet and quaint is the town of Rockville.
  • This stay was exactly as described. Super comfortable and everything about the experience was smooth and easy. Lezlie's b&b is an easy jumping off point for Zion and everything else in the area, and her hospitality is great.

  • Lezlie’s place is beautiful. We were happy to arrive to a clean, chic, welcoming home for the night after a long hiking day! Lezlie was very warm when we met. Will come stay again when visiting Zion next!

  • Clean, uniquely decorated, and cozy. Lezlie’s home provided for everything we could have asked for, enthusiastic 4-legged host included. A wonderful haven to retreat to after a full day in Zion. We definitely want to stay here again!

  • We had such a great time here! Lezlie was such an amazing host and made our stay in Utah very enjoyable. The whole place was super clean and organized. She was extremely accommodating and very quick to respond to any questions we had as well as offered many great suggestions. The location is excellent as it is very close to Zion and has plenty of restaurants near by. Looking forward to staying here again. Thanks again for everything Lezlie!
