Holidays by the lake Unden

In the middle of West Götalands unspoilt nature with its lakes and forests, near the big lake Vättern, about 5 kilometers from the village of Undenäs and far away from any through traffic, the small country village of Igelstad is located, directly on the lake Unden. The village is a small collection of scattered houses and farms, of which some are permanently inhabited, while others are used as summer cottages. Here, in a large clearing in the forest, the small farm "Nolgården" is situated. The house is a separate, well-equipped classic wooden log house, built in spruce. It was thourougly renovated in 2008. There is a private bathroom, kitchen and private terrace, Internet connection (WLAN) and satellite TV (Astra). A cozy fireplace and electric heating provide comfortable warmth. Directly from the house you can make nice walks in the unspoilt nature, pick berries and mushrooms, or walk to lake Unden, one of the clearest and most pristine lakes in Sweden. From the house to the west side of the peninsula, there is only 800 meters. Here you can have a swim or enjoy the sunset over Unden. The eastern shore can be reached in quarter of an hour via a forest path. By the shore a canoe lies ready for extensive reconnaissance trips to the beautiful deserted islands and quiet bays. But the area has much more to offer: the romantic Tiveden National Park, Lake Viken, Forsvik and the Göta canal with its locks, and the huge lake Vättern are just a few examples of interesting destinations.

Unwind in this one-of-a-kind and quiet space. Directly by Lake Sommen is our newly renovated little house with bedroom, living room and a little kitchen. Patio under roof, jetty and beach directly outside. Summer water which means hot and cold water from the lake in the kitchen faucet and in the toilet house. New “Toahus” with shower cabin, sink and electrically powered incineration toilet. Fresh water is easily collected from the host. Bed linen and towels are included. Cleaning is not included. All guests clean up after themselves, all equipment is provided in the cabin.

The cottage is located 30 minutes from Jönköping, 10 minutes from Gränna and the E4 motorway. The nearest public bus stop is 7 km away, so we recommend that you have a car when you visit us.

A nice place to stay in Rimforsa near lake Åsunden and Järnlunden where it is nice to swim, canoe and fish. We have a kitchen with all the amenities, bathroom with shower, Wi-Fi, patio with barbecue and a sofa bed in case one or two want to come along. Shop, restaurant & swimming area are within walking distance. Activities: Hike, boat, tennis, paddle, viewpoints, rock climbing, caves, MTB facility, ice skating(winter), canoeing, biking and fishing. Bikes and canoe are available to borrow.

A classic Swedish cottage in beautiful surroundings, just by a small lake where you can swim from private bridge and row in a small boat. The house is 50 m2 with one bedroom with two beds and living room with bed sofa for two. A lovely terrass with bbq and sun beds with view over the lake. Bathroom with toilet and shower with hot water. 15 min from Åtvidaberg, 45 min from Linköping. Close to interesting sights in Östergötland. The host lives in a house about 50 meters further away from the beach. The kitchen is for simple cooking, using a frying pan is not allowed, but charcoal barbecue is available.

Mysig timmerstuga vid sjön Sommen. Utmärkt för er som vill komma ut till det stillsamma och varva ner från vardagsstressen. Lugnt läge med den vilda naturen runt omkring er. 150 meter bakom stugan finns grillplats och vacker vy över sjön Sommen. Fina skogsområden med promenadstråk och vandringsleder för svamp- och bärplockning. Stor chans att få se mycket vilt som rådjur, älg, räv och även Havsörn. 500 meter promenadstig till ångbåtshamn, badplats och fiske.
