The Hobbit house with its round door is straight out of Middle Earth! It is close to the sea, the beach and the mountains. It has a spectacular view of Beinn na Cailleach (Hill of the Old Woman). 'The Old Woman' was a Norse princess (Skye once belonged to Norway) .The Hobbit House is NOT suitable for pets, sorry! The first thing you should do is download the map from our photo gallery. Satnav doesn't work here!
The Hobbit house is good for couples and solo adventurers and small families (besides the double bed with egyptian cotton sheets and pocket-sprung mattress, there is a fold-out sofa bed). It's heated by a halogen heater and oil-filled radiator, and there is a super-sized chiminea outside! For cosy nights in there is a flat screen Internet TV for streaming BBC iPlayer, Netflix, Amazon Prime.
  • This place is perfect for solo travelers or couples, secluded and cosy. It has incredible views and is in a great location. Had great communication with the hosts, great welcome package and lots of information. I'd go back tomorrow!

  • We had an amazing time at the hobbit house for our honeymoon exploring Skye and relaxing. It has everything you would need and is easy to find. It is well placed for exploring Skye and within a 5min drive of Broadford which has a large shop and petrol station. We loved the views and it was warm enough to have breakfast and dinner in the sunshine outside. We would totally recommend a visit to the Marble Pools recommended by the host. We had it all to ourselves for a quiet swim with brilliant views which was a nice change from the Fairy Pools where we swam the day before. The cottage was clean, tidy and has everything you need for a short stay. We would definitely stay again!

  • The hobbit house was very nice and cosy! Well situated and the scenery amazing especially for the sunset! Very peaceful! We really recommend this place for a great holiday time!!!

  • A good solution as a base to visit Skye. The Hobbit House is very original, casy and comfortable. We recommead it for couples. Chris & Jack.

  • A very nice cosy stay. The chimney outside is a lovely touch too

  • Amazing views. The Hobbit Hole pod is cute, peaceful and very well equipped. Perfect for a few days to explore Skye. Hot water a bit temperamental but fine once you get the hang of it. I would recommend a visit.

A comfortable studio apartment which is traditional on the outside and yet modern on the inside.
Lovely quiet street on the seafront in Plockton. Just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of the village.
  • We stayed for four nights in The Shed and couldn't have had a better time! Despite being away on holiday when we arrived Lynn was an amazing host, with brilliant communication up to our stay and an unbeatable welcome pack. The Shed itself is beautiful inside and we found everything we could want for a holiday - including a great book of walks in the area and good wifi. Plockton is lovely with fantastic walks from the doorstep and Skye was close enough for a day trip. The local pub did amazing food and live music too. A completely fantastic place to stay and so reasonable for the price - we wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

    Mhairi2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy space, with a really well stocked kitchen in probably the best location in Plockton - just off the front with the local inn round the corner. Honestly couldn't have been any better, with a great spot to have your morning coffee in the garden looking out over Loch Carron.

    Euart2018-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Shed is a great place for two right in the heart of Plockton. It is a small place but the renovation has been done so well it doesn't feel small in the least. Everything you could possibly need is there, right down to a hot water bottle. The bed and shower are the best I have ever experienced while away from home. Lynn met us on arrival, a lovely welcome and a bottle of wine. We were told to call on her if we needed anything. We didn't need to she had thought of everything. Loved The Shed and will be back.

    David2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Shed is a very comfortable, cosy place to stay in a good location for visiting Skye and the surrounding area. We would definitely recommend staying here.

    Madeleine2017-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect little spot for exploring Plockton and the surrounding areas. Cannot fault the shed at all - had everything we would need in an idyllic location. Would recommend!! Thanks for a lovely stay Lynn.

    Jessica2016-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Lynn we had lovely time the weather didn't keep us from getting out and about what a fantastic little gem of a place Plockton is and your Shed is amazing absolutely loved our stay

    Stuart2017-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect little gem, in an even more wonderful location. The shed is close to everything you need. Beautiful walks, next to the Loch, a few seconds from the local pubs and restaurants. We will certainly be back x

    Lorna2018-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic cosy holiday hideaway in the most beautiful of locations! A lovely space ideal for exploring the area and coming back to of an evening. The Shed is beautifully finished to a high standard with everything you could need!

A lovely simple, basic lodge on the shores of Lochcarron and near the pretty village of Plockton knows as the "Jewel of the Highlands". There is a balcony which opens in to a living room/kitchen, a double bedroom and bathroom. A pine marten often visits the balcony for treats in the evenings. There are terrific views over the loch and it is a couple of minutes walk from the shore and the heron sanctuary on the island which is accessed at low tides over a coral strand. Note simple NOT luxury.
Balcony opens into a living room kitchen. There is a bathroom and one double bedroom. Parking next to cabin with terrific views over the loch. Binoculars are provided to help you spot pine martens, otters, seals or even the passing badger. It should also be noted that this is a farm and we keep animals, including hens and some times the hens visit the balcony, especially if guests have been feeding them. The side effect is that these lovely rare Sicilian Buttercups do leave a "calling card" so we discourage you from feeding them as the next guest may not be so happy about the mess!!
Get away from it all. We did!
  • Really enjoyed the location, lovely beach and farm area. Cabin and facilities were all we needed

    Ian2017-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing host with a lovely farm. Stunning views of the water and forestry. Great access to Skye and surrounding areas. Would love to stay again and explore more.

    Andy2018-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • It is a fantastic place to be away from city

    Wee2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Patti and Terri were wonderful. The farm is entertaining and relaxing to walk through. It has a wide array of animals to see from llamas to geese, dogs and cats, hens and sheep and more. It's set up above and beautifully showcases the water and island down below. The cottage I stayed in was perfect, it has everything you need for a comfortable country stay. Small fridge and gas stove, regular washroom with a tub for bathing. A bedroom with a double bed, and a living room with a couch and tv/dvd player. They have many DVDs that guests can borrow to watch anytime. I couldn't be more appreciative of the help, advise, and warm welcome that Patti and Terri showed me. It made my first trip to Scotland all the more memorable. Couldn't thank them enough. I highly recommend their farm. Thanks again!!

    Rebecca2016-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is lovely and in a lovely secluded location with great views. It was warm and well insulated, equiped with electric heaters which do a good job, and there is plenty of hot water. The living/dining area is comfortable and the cabin comes with a well equiped kitchen which is great for anyone considering self catering accommodation. As others have mentioned, there is no shower, but there is a large bath which wasn't a problem at all for us. Our hosts, Patti and her husband, were very friendly and accommodating and always available to answer any questions we had during our stay. We also had access to the farm and were even able to feed the racoons on asking. I would highly recommend this cabin to my friends and family, and would happily book again in the future.

    Robert2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • The place is in a farm with a very nice view. We were able to go around the farm and enjoyed feeding the animals they have. The flat is cozy but it has everything you need for a few days of comfortable stay.

    Lou2018-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here! Patti was so friendly and welcoming, and gave us great recommendations of places to visit! The animals were darling, and the scenery was out of this world. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed to cook a great meal (except the food of course). We would highly recommend this place! P.s. Sorry we forgot to take our recycling! We meant to but forgot it and locked the door.

The Kishorn Kabin is cosy, tranquil & set in wildlife friendly woodland garden. Equipped with gas central heating, a wood burning stove and kitchen. You will have your own parking & storage (inc. bikes) area. A perfect place to explore the west highlands, Skye or stop off on the north coast 500. Your Host is from the Highlands & loves sharing her knowledge with you. We are conveniently located opposite the famous Kishorn Seafood Bar Restaurant.
The kishorn kabin is ideally suited for two adults sharing. An additional adult or junior can be accommodated on the double sofa bed. As there is a woodburning stove it's not suitable for toddlers. A Cot Bed is available for babies.
We really are spoilt were we live. Only a 5 min walk from the breathtaking views of the Applecross Mountains and 1.5 miles from the Kishorn Bay beach. The Bealach na Ba ("Pass of the Cattle") - the historic road to Applecross is 2 miles down the road. Directly opposite we have the famous Kishorn Seafood Bar. So you can wine & dine and walk back across to the Kishorn Kabin. It's best to book ahead for evening meals ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)). Amazing coffee's & light lunches can be had at The Bealach Café & Gallery - 2 miles away. Their Gallery is well worth a look - lots of inspiring local artists work can be purchased. There are simply too many great walks to mention here - but we will leave you a wee notebook with our local "treasures" and some maps to borrow. The local wildlife is abundant; there is a good chance of spotting the "Big 5" - Seals, Otters, Red Squirrel, Deer & Eagles in Wester Ross. Shieldaig (11 miles away) is one of our favourite villages to visit. A picturesque place where the local hotel (Tigh na Eilean) cooks great wood fired pizzas. Local artist Vicky Stonebridge offers pottery classes at her studio, originally a Blacksmiths in Lochcarron. Email (EMAIL HIDDEN) to book in advance.
  • Absolutely lovely countryside cabin. Very clean, very cosy (with log burner!) and stocked with all the kitchen bits you need to be self catered. Very friendly hosts. A perfect location for scenic views and only a 50 minute drive from Isle of Skye. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing few days. Thank you Lynda and Mike.

  • Kishorn cabin is a wonderful private little spot at the end of Lynda and Mike's garden. Its self contained, decorated with charm and got everything you need to have a great adventure around the beautiful Kishorn (unbelievable seafood less than a minute away) and stunning Applecross area of Skye. It is comfy, spotless, and we were so warmly welcomed by Lynda (and sweet Duke), who is lovely to chat to and offers any tips or help you need with a genuine enthusiasm. Nothing was too much trouble. This hospitality and great space made it our favourite place to stay in the Hebrides! Thank you guys!

    Rachel2018-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location and lovely hosts. Ideal for heading over the pass to Applecross which is spectacular.

    Ruaridh2018-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cosy cabin, slick and span and with everything you need for a comfortable stay and more. Definitely take the opportunity to eat at Kishorn Seafood Cabin across the road, beautifully cooked locally sourced seafood with a view to die for.

    Louise2017-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • The kabin is excellent, a great place to stay, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Lynda is very welcoming and helpful. I hope to visit again soon and perhaps tackle the climb of the Bealach na Ba pass by bike.

    Neil2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and cozy cabin. We really enjoyed our staying in Kishorn. Mike greeted us and gave us a tour of the cabin and took his time to explained everything to us even though England was playing :-). We saw Lynda at check out and was very friendly. Great stop over on the 500 route. We would recommend to stay here.

Enjoy a sea view and handy location just 5 miles after the Skye Bridge and 2 miles from Broadford. We offer a 2 bedroom self catering cabin suitable for 2 or 3 people with sheep outside the window. Located in a peaceful position set back away from the main road in Breakish. We are easy to find but please read the directions carefully! Alternatively search for Breakish Horse on Ggle. Maps.
Our place is in a peaceful position with great views and yet handy for the main road to pop into Broadford, explore the island or head for the bridge. Cosy and comfortable for 3 guests (a couple and a single) we are sure you will have an enjoyable stay. There is a lounge, kitchen, double bedroom, single bedroom and shower room. The WiFi is usually very good. The kitchen is equipped with all the usuals such as fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery etc. Tea, coffee, salt, pepper and a few other items are in the cupboard but food is not provided. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer. For the dry days there is a washing line with pegs. You are welcome to speak to or mingle with our sheep who, at certain times of year, can be very friendly (and a bit noisy!). If you are lucky there may be a pet lamb to feed. We are very easy to find but please make sure you read the instructions because if you just follow the satnav you will arrive at the wrong house. Post code areas on Skye are large and not specific (please read 'Other Notes' and/or familiarise yourself with the photos in the 'Check in' section). Thank you!!!
Breakish enjoys one of the best sandy beaches on Skye. When the tide is out, it's huge! It's just a mile or so stroll through the village and definitely worth a visit if you have time. The Red Skye restaurant in Breakish is 10 or 15 minutes walk. The Hebridean Hotel is on the outskirts of Broadford, it has a pub and restaurant, the food is good and you can walk there in 15 minutes. Broadford is 2 miles away, there is a supermarket, petrol station, pubs, restaurants, shops etc. Portree is 28 miles further north.
  • We had a marvellous stay at Jackie's house, which immediately felt very welcoming and cosy. We loved hanging around in the sitting room and looking at the sheep outside. The house offers everything you need (also with a small child, as we were travelling with our 4 year old son). We slept wonderfully and thought it was a shame we only booked two nights... The location is super: you are close to the Skye bridge and the shop and restaurants in Broadford BUT you can drive about anywhere in Skye in 1 - 1,5hours time. And... we loved the book collection ;)

    Saskia2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Super cosy little house with great view! I forgot my phone cable and Jackie went looking for it after we left so I could just pick it up on our way home. Thank for such great service!

    Pelle2017-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • A nice house at a lovely place. We had a great view to the sea and in the house you have all what you need. We were only here for a short stay, but we wished it would has been longer.

    Cathrin2016-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Located centrally in Skye, this place is perfect for the isles. You get a very cozy, private accommodation, with everything you need (laundry, full kitchen, good heating, TV, comfortable beds and lounge room). Jackie greeted us warmly, and made herself available for anything we needed. Friendly sheep graze just a few yards outside beyond the fence. The best way to stay in Skye!

    Aidan2017-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • amazing 4 nights in a beautiful location, the accommodation was ideal and well appointed it also benefits from easy access to the whole island.

  • A great wee challet equipped with everything you need. We we're lucky enough to enjoy great weather which made the garden a real bonus. An ideal location for south Skye, we throughly enjoyed our stay, thanks for being a great host too!!

  • Nice stay in a private chalet with a very good view. Excellent communication with Jackie - and easy to find from the main road.

  • I highly recommend this airbnb! Located at the base of Skye, in Broadford, it is the perfect home base for exploring the Isle. Annie is a FANTASTIC host! She made every accommodation to create a smooth check-in and check-out, provided a map with "must-see" spots ready for us upon arrival, and what a delight! We were happy to spend time with her, as much as we were her beautiful home. You should also make time to relish the sunsets, courtesy of the home. You will have the most stunning view from your front door at Annie's. Again, I highly recommend this airbnb and hope to get back again in the near future!

  • Perfect location :)

    Andrew2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was perfect and Annie was so nice! AMAZING VIEW on the sea!!! We just spent 3 nights there and we regret to not staying more,we'll definitively be back here! It was our first holidays in Scotland and Annie's cabin by the sea was the perfect introduction to this. She also prepared a basket filled with good things to eat. Well i can only recommend this place!

    Fred2016-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Annie’s cabin, right by the sea. We arrived late in the evening, we were tired and hungry, and were welcomed with a basket of goodies - such a great surprise, we could have some warm meal without going out! Annie gave us a very informative induction to familiarise ourselves with the cabin, which was really helpful. The cabin is very cosy and perfectly clean. The Wi-Fi speed was fantastic which made it easier for us to plan our day trips. The location right by the sea is just magical, with spectacular views and a very calming atmosphere. There are a choice of restaurants and even a supermarket nearby, which is really convenient. We would definitely stay here again, when returning to the Isle of Skye one day.

    Andrea2016-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Annie's cabin by the sea is absolutely a dream. The space itself is immaculately clean and very cozy, especially on a rainy night, and has a great kitchen. I even watched otters playing just outside from the comfort of the porch! Magical place, great find on Skye. 10/10 highly recommend.

    Andrea2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Myself, husband and 7 month old stayed at Annie's for one night on route to Harris. We arrived in torrential rain but bothy was lovely and cosy and had everything we needed. The second room is small but we managed to fit in our travel cot, which was a bonus. It is nicely situated and we enjoyed the stunning views the following morning. Annie was really helpful during whole process. We would definitely stay here again, but for longer!

    Hilary2016-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Annie's place by the sea! The unit was as described and pictures don't do justice to the view. It was a perfect home base for our quick trip to Skye, and we loved being able to walk to local restaurants for a meal after a day of hiking. Annie was very helpful upon arrival and gave us a great intro to driving on single track roads (much needed). Would not hesitate to stay here again, highly recommend!

    Samantha2017-09-04T00:00:00Z

Welcome to the Highlands and Islands for a mini retreat holiday at our little Self-catering cottage at Struanlea on the Isle of Skye. Skye is the biggest Island of the Hebrides accessible via the Skye Bridge from Kyle of Lochalsh. Some late availability this summer: 25-31 July 29 Aug - 1 Sep
Our house is called ‘Struanlea’, a Gaelic word meaning ‘sheltered place by a streamlet’. The charming and tranquil cottage is situated in the back garden of our house at a little burn. It is ideal for honeymooners, small families (one child) and people who would like to find some time to relax and reflect. Described as a bed-sit, the cottages offers a one room (ca.30sqm) open plan with a double bed and an one person bunk bed (child), kitchen and sitting area and an en-suit shower room. Guests are also welcome to use the peace chamber in the garden which offers space for Yoga, meditation and reflection. As a registered Interfaith Celebrant Sonja Ganga is able to marry people of all faith and none which gives couples, who dream to get married on the Isle of Skye or the Highlands, the opportunity to have a uniquely designed, legal wedding ceremony (outdoors or indoors). If you enjoy some relaxation and want to unwind from daily noises and a hectic life-style you can book yourself treatments of various complementary therapies offered by (email hidden) therapists at Sonja’s nearby clinic. The cottage has Wireless ADSL Broadband for those of you who want to keep in touch and use their laptop computer or PDA on holidays or plan a writing retreat. There are also boundless opportunities for walkers from short walks to proper hill walking. The next sandy beach is a fifteen minutes’ walk to the shore where children can paddle in the water watched by seals, seagulls and buzzards. Fishing, Horse Riding, Boat trips and Seafaris are as popular as going on Nature trails around the Island discovering the different sceneries. Art and Craft and Gaelic History and Music give you a deeper insight of the Scottish Culture. Restaurant and Pubs are in the next village approx. 3 miles away and some of the Hotels offer Scottish High Tea, a “must” for this area. Please note that during high season (July and August) we only accept full week long bookings.
  • This is a little cottage in a great location to explore the Isle of Skye. Very quiet, next to a small stream. The cooking facilities are limited but enough to cook a simple meal. There were lots of herbs, spices, coffee and sugar in the kitchen.

    Kerry2016-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Chris was very nice when we arrived. The cottage was a bit smaller than what we expected, it is only 1 room. Also, Internet didn't really work so don't wait to be there if you need to book important stuff or use Internet at all. Otherwise the cottage is in a GREAT location, close from many nice places.

    Marie-Claude2015-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We were very happy in this cute cabin. It was perfectly situated for our wonderful week on Skye. Sonja and Chris are kind and wonderful hosts. We very much enjoyed meeting them. We loved this quiet spot, in a back yard of a house. Convenient location - it is not too isolated. Supermarket and restaurants are an easy drive from the accommodation and it is easy to drive to all the other beautiful places on Skye.

    Wendy2014-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place with friendly hosts.

    Brendan2018-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was very nice and had everything we needed for our vacation on Skye. The communication with Sonja was very quick, and on our last day she also drove us to the next city where it was much easier for us to travel further. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and can only recommend this cottage for a vacation on Skye.

    Sabine2015-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location on Skye. Staying in the lovely cabin felt like you were in a world of your own. When you first arrive you may not see the cabin but it's on the left just past the two sheds. Next to a stream that adds to the beautiful atmosphere. Communication with Sonja and Chris was excellent. Both are very responsive and available to help if needed. We never did figure out the tv (something like a BBC iplayer ?) but Chris offered to set it up for us. We never needed it as we were out touring and hiking from early to late. The kitchen is tiny but very workable with a tea pot, small refrigerator, counter top oven, and a two burner unit. It's about 1/2 hour drive up to Portree which has shops and restaurants and another 1/2 hour up to the Quiraing which was our favorite place to hike. A really lovely stay on Skye.

  • Gorgeous cosy little cottage in one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. You will not be dissappointed. Great walks and wild swims nearby with a cosy fire to return to. Thanks for a lovely relaxing trip!

  • We had an amazing stay in Chrissie's little cabin. It looked cosy from the pictures but as soon as we stepped inside it was warm and inviting. The cabin was an absolute delight, with everything we needed and more for a wonderful stay. The smoked salmon pate was a great, welcoming touch and we all enjoyed it with some oatcakes. We also appreciated that the basics were all thoughtfully included (not always the case as we have found out to our cost). The location too is breathtaking, and though we toured around the area extensively during our short stay, Shieldaig is a place we can safely say we'd love to return to, and we'd be very happy to stay in this cabin again. The cabin was spotless too and we had a great sleep on a very comfy bed; even the airbed for our teenage son was to his liking! Thanks again for a great stay - wholeheartedly recommended.

  • The cabin was excellent! Great location, warm, clean and everything that we needed. Amanda who met us was friendly and on hand for any extra questions. Thanks very much for having us to stay!

    Hannah2016-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lives up to the name ‘cosy cabin’ but is also sparkling clean, incredibly well equipped, and brilliantly located. An extremely thoughtful host who has thought of everything.

    Louise2018-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was very confortable, and very well located, close to restaurants and shops. The washing machine was much appreciated. We definitely recommend this place!

    Cecilia2017-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great find. It is located in a great little village, was super easy to find and check-in. Chrissy was a superb hostess and her welcome was above and beyond......loved the smoked Dunlop cheese so much that we bought all Amanda had at the smokehouse! Excellent location for the Applecross drive, too---thanks for the route suggestion, Chrissy! (WiFi worked well for us rightin the cabin and the menu for the local seafood restaurant was superb)!

  • This is a good spot for a relaxed place to stay. It is well appointed and in a beautiful location. However, the decor is dated and the place smells quite musty. Still had a relaxing stay in a very comfy bed and the log fire is great, once you figure how to get the temperature right.

    Anna2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Just a great place to stay, with everything you need in a cabin. You are in a back yard, on a premises where they smoke Scottish salmon, in a private cabin. The waterfront is just in front of the main house. Loved it a lot.

A stunning three bedroom Highland lodge, on The North Route 500, boasting spectacular views of Loch Carron. Samphire lodge is situated on a slope giving it a vantage overlooking the sea to the Attadale valley. Situated at the edge of the village, you are a short stroll from local amenities. Indoors you are greeted by the warm colour of the wood, and feels especially cosy when the cast iron fire is roaring. Samphire Lodge has three spacious bedrooms, a wet room and fully equipped kitchen.

  • Lovely Host, great communication, Accommodation is stunning and breathtaking views.

  • Samphire Lodge is a fantastic place to stay in the Highlands. The views from the cottage are wonderful, and the shrubs and bushes in the garden host lots of little birds that are a delight to hear while enjoying morning coffee. The wood burning stove adds a cozy touch. If you are looking for a place to relax and curl up with a good book, this is it. If you are looking to explore the Highlands, it's a great spot for that too. The high road from Lochcarron to Applecross is amazing. Isle of Skye is about 40 minutes from the lodge. Joan is an excellent and responsive host, yet access is set up to be private and hassle free.

  • Fantastic View/Scenery, cleanliness, if party is more than 4 then with only one toilet/shower room can cause a little problem if not all from same family, for privicy.

  • A cracking location for a break up the highlands

    Iain2018-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Samphire Lodge is a perfect place to stay if you're exploring this lovely part of Scotland. It has all the facilities you will need and a lovely decking and garden area with great views of Loch Carron. The village is a short walk away and the Lochcarron Bistro is to be recommended for great food (it's worth booking a table as it's a busy place). The large collection of books in the lodge was a welcome surprise as was the excellent local info, including walking routes. All in all, an excellent stay.

    Martin2018-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for a week and really loved this place. For May we were lucky with the mostly sunny weather and could spend some time on the terrace that has a great view of the loch. Location of the house is perfect for daytrips around Scotland. We received a lot of great recommendations of things to do in the area from the hosts.

    Kevin2018-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a hidden gem. The location is superb, with the property nestled in a spectacular position on the banks of the Loch. The views are simply stunning. The accommodation itself is superbly equipped and has everything you’ll need. The wood burner is a fantastic touch and really made the experience. With short distances to some of Scotland’s best destinations, Skye, Applecross and Torridon, Joan’s place is ideally situated. Joan’s communication was very professional and prompt and made us feel very much at home. Joan even went to a lot of effort to send back my sunglasses which I left in the house. Really awesome, relaxing time, would very much recommend and somewhere we’ll look to revisit in the future.

    Michael2018-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • The views are fantastic, and so is the place. We absolutely loved it! There's really nothing more to say about it. Highly recommended. We unfortunately did not have the pleasure of meeting Joan in person, but she has been very kind and helpful throughout our communication.

Fearna is a newly built timber- clad cottage situated at the top of a 5 acre croft. Its large picture windows present stunning views of the mountains and the sea, there is a track just outside the house that leads you through the village of Lower Breakish to the river and then to the shore where it's common to observe seals on the rocks or in the sea. You can continue your walk to Broadford 3 miles away where you will find great places to have food, coffees and pick up essentials.
Because of the rural nature of where we live there is wildlife in abundance and peace perfect peace, however if you wish, within short driving distances, there are cafe, restaurants, pubs, people and boat trips. I have lots of sample menus in the house of the local places to eat and some information on what sights to see.
Lower Breakish is a small hamlet where mostly everyone knows each other and are very helpful so don't be shy in asking someone for advice or directions. There is a local restaurant called Red Skye which is a short walk from the house which is great because you can have a wine or two and walk home.
  • Best airbnb experience I have ever had! Thanks Liz, my family and I loved your cottage.

    Audie2016-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Superb on all fronts.

    David2017-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Liz made us feel very welcome at her lovely cottage. The location is brilliant - a 5 minute drive to amenities (supermarket, restaurant, shops etc) but otherwise completely rural. The views are stunning, the sea just a few minutes walk away and the cottage itself is simply furnished, cosy and relaxing. Would definitely recommend!

    Katie2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • We totally loved the cottage. It is wonderful place with great views on the sunsets. We had it as great base for our trips around the island. We cooked a lot, used the washing machine and felt like at home. And Liz was so great to borrow us some maps, books and some toys and doodles for girls. Thank you for wonderful time in your beautiful cottage.

    Klara2016-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing place to stay on Skye. We can't wait to return - and will plan our trip based on availability at the cottage! The host is charming and welcoming... the amenities are top notch. The location is excellent - and the VIEWS! perfection in all ways.

    Diane2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Liz's place was an adorable cottage with all the amenities she had listed. The place was so beautiful and very accessible to exploring Skye and sights just outside. Liz was extremely nice and was there when we needed instructions to reach the place. She had even left a bouquet and some fudge for my parents since I had mentioned it was their anniversary! I think this is a great place for a vacation and I recommend it strongly.

    Neeraja2016-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • The house is really nice with great view and convenient facilities. I stongely recommend it!

  • If your looking for a beautiful place to extend you stay on Isle of Sky, try the Ferina house. This cute little modern cottage has all the items you'll need to complete your Isle of Sky holiday. We found all the information we needed on the internet, so good job posting it so we could find it. We decided to cook in and found the local co-op in Broadmore completely stocked. So we did save a few pounds ( both financial and weight wise) by eating in. The house is in a beautiful location and the day we were there, we had full sun and few clouds. So the view or the Mts and the ocean were incredible. And the location is perfect for launching day trips since it's at the head of the island. The beds were really comfortable. The master bed has a great view of the ocean. It was nice to come in from a long day of Isle activities and relax, kick back and reflect on the magic of the place. We did hikes, saw castles, watched sheep dog trails, hiked faerie pools, visited with locals, toured the rich history and sampled a few pubs. We were completely enthralled by the magic of the island and Ferina. The wife and I are retired and we would love to build a quiet house out of the way just like Ferina Thanks LIZ , from your new friends in the USA

My place is 2 miles from Plockton, Isle of Skye 10 minutes drive.. This cosy wooden lodge has terrific views down the loch and is a few minutes walk from the shore. Set up to take 4 adults and 2 children it has a washing machine and tumble drier in the open plan kitchen, dining and living room and three small bedrooms. A separate toilet, bathroom with shower over the bath and visits from Britains' rarest mammal on the balcony in the evenings if you are lucky. Great family base to see the area.
We have NO live television signal but provide a huge choice of dvds and videos as well as books for you to borrow in our communal area close by. Mobile 'phone reception is poor but stronger near this lodge than anywhere else on the farm. Wifi also poor but possible in the lodge, better in our extension to the house.
Get away from it all, we did! This is a rare breeds farm keeping llamas and racoons as well as sheep, goats, donkeys, pigs, hens, ducks, owls, rabbits, geese etc which are around for you to feed and pet if desired. The local village of Plockton is only two miles away, the bridge to Skye 7 miles and it is only an hour to drive to Applecross via the highest paved road in Britain and to access all that is available there including a huge sandy beach for the kids, a food all day pub that keeps winning the 'best pub food in Britain" awards and is very child friendly, a 4th century monastery and heritage centre etc so although you can stay and relax between mountain, meadow and loch you can also go gallivanting and see the area and enjoy what it has to offer.
  • Patti's cabin provides a rustic feel in a beautiful setting. Our kids loved the farm animals and we enjoyed the view and sitting on the beach at sunset. The location was perfect for drives to Skye, Applecross and further north. As Patti puts it, this is not a luxury cabin, for example you'll need to turn on the hot water an hour prior to using it, but for us, this added to the overall experience of cabin living in the Highlands!

    Patrick2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay . The lodge had everything we required, the scenery was beautiful and we enjoyed feeding the animals. It was very near to Plockton for bars and restaurants. We would definitely come again

  • We were 4 people and 2 dogs and we let a cottage for 6 people for 3 days. It’s a wonderfull cottage with 3 rooms and kitchen-living room shared. The views are unbeatables, you can look througth the window and you won’t be bore seeing the sea shore. It’s sorround of nature, and farm’s animals: goats, chicken of all kinds, even a raccoons!. We also bought duck egg’s to Patty, the host that she loves the animals no doubt, she solved all our issues. The family want return

    Ana2018-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay on the Craig Highland Farm was fantastic! The lodge has 3 bedrooms and a large open plan living room. Beautiful views across the loch, very tranquil place, lovely friendly animals, we loved everything. Patti replied to all my emails very quickly, within the hour, and provided very helpful advice about the area and places to visit.

    Tatiana2016-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful scenery and good place to stay if you are wanting to spend a few days in Skye

    Daniel2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, beautiful scenery and quiet, bird life fabulous. Property is described very well, not luxury but has everything you need. Patti very welcoming. Plockton only a few miles away and has good restaurants but you need to book to avoid disappointment.

    Wendy2017-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Got some mix up by airbnb and the place was already rented when we got there, but the lady was very kind and honest and refund everything at once. She help me find a new place for the night and I stay there for the 2 following night. The place was nice and perfect for animal lovers. Paty was awesome she told us ideas of what to do in the area.

    Francois2017-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Patti was great. She gave us some helpful recommendations for the area and places to eat. The farm is amazing! There is an owl, chickens, lamas, donkey, goats, and amazing views. The cabin is a combination of rustic and homey. Perfect for a family get away!

  • We really loved our stay in Marjory's home. We had a fantastic welcome (highland products basket included) and the facilities could not be better! Everything was spotless clean and the attention to detail was fantastic. We strongly recommend this place if you're planning a visit to Skye.

    Luciano2018-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Marjory and Angus’ caravan- we felt at home right away and the view is great! They were extremely helpful with any questions we had, gave a lot of tips and even supplied us with spray against midges! Wonderful people- we will certainly come back!

    Kerstin2018-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • The caravan is very new, clean with a lot of thought put into each detail. Everything is well organised and made easy to use for the guests. You can expect a fully functional apartment with enough space for up to four people. The hosts are warm and welcoming and provide help whenever needed. We would recommend this place for a wonderful trip to the island of Skye. A car is recommended.

  • Marjory's place was really wonderful. Very clean and new, well decorated, and she left us some nice welcome goodies. We were three adults and had plenty of space, especially in the kitchen and living room. The kitchen is well equipped, the location is great, and the views from the unit are nice. We had a really enjoyable stay and Marjory was responsive and kind. Highly recommend!

  • Marjory and Angus are fab hosts - so helpful and friendly! The caravan is well located and easy to find. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed and more for our girls weekend away. Would definitely return!

  • The place is such a cosy and charming caravan with all sort of details, more than I expected. The location was very convenient to visit Skye. Angus greeted us and was very friendly and helpful with trips. Definitely highly recommended. We will be back I hope. Best wishes!

  • Marjory and Angus are amazing hosts. They have put so much into creating a home away from home. Everything from the interior design, the cleaniness and the awesome communication made our stay at the Isle of Skye unforgettable. Marjory checked in on us to make sure everything was okay and Angus was ready to provide us with local tips for discovering Skye. We would highly recommend this place. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth, the place was spotless and all required amenities were provided.

    Sharnya2018-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • This Air B'n'B was fantastic. It is obviously a smaller space, but the decor and layout made for a incredibly comfortable and enjoyable stay. Communication with Marjory and Angus was very straight forward and prompt, and they gave good advice at our check-in. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Isle of Skye, and was a cosy and affordable place to base themselves.

The Sligachan Cottage is a newly refurbished and contemporary building, located in one of the most beautiful places in Scotland. The spacious cottage has a large open-plan kitchen, living and dining area. The cottage benefits from glass-fronted views over-looking the Cuillin, with a cosy log burning stove to enjoy sitting by the fire and admiring the wild Highland scenery. The cottage consists of 3 x bedrooms and an additional mezzanine level if extra beds are required (sleeping up to 8 people).
This is a design-led cottage, finished to a modern standard with amazing views over the Cuillin mountains.
Sligachan is beautiful yet remote, so we recommend picking up groceries en route to the cottage. There is a pub nearby which serves delicious food and drinks.
  • really wonderful place! great, cosy, comfortable house! Phil really helpful and kind. Had an amazing time. Thank you

  • The cabin is great, brand new, very confortable and it looks exactly as in the pictures. In addition, location is perfect, right in the middle of the Isle of Skye, with paths to the Cuillin Hills from that location and with rest of the island at a short car-ride distance. The food at the nearby pub is nice and Portree is not very far to pick up groceries. It is ideal for groups of five or six people and we felt very welcomed when we were there.

  • This house is very well located in the isle of skye. It was very clean and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The area is perfect for outdoor activities, specially hiking. The hotel at the restaurant nearby is delicious and they have great beer as well. We had no problem communicating with the hosts and they were very helpful to give us recommendations.

  • Very beautiful home in a even more stunning setting. I feel a car is a must have, but didn't research public transit, and you could walk down to the hotel down the road (and pub next door seemed busy). Weather was uncharacteristicly warm but couldn't open windows due to the swarming midges, so upstairs got a bit stuffy. Had everything we needed, and hopefully wifi will come soon, as that would be helpful in researching what to do and where to go.

The Hide has two bedrooms, a shower/toilet, and an open space kitchen/living area. The east windows look out over open croft land to Ben Sgritheall and the west windows look over open croft land to the Cuillin mountains. The Hide is on a working croft where we raise native Hebridean sheep and Shetland sheep mainly for wool. Eggs are available from our own free range chickens
The Hide sits in its own garden ground. There are steps up to the decking leading to the door. There is a King size bed in one room and a single in the other. There is a shared toilet with shower and wash hand basin. There is cooker and dish washer in the kitchen bit no washing machine but I am happy to do a couple of loads of washing in our machine at our our house a few yards away. There is also a launderette in Broadford, the nearest town.
  • A tidy and modern hut near to the house of our friendly hosts! we enjoyed staying there even if we spended most of our days exploring the island. you have to drive longer distances to get to the northern parts

  • A lovely place to stay in the South of Skye to explore the island! Plenty of room for two with a nice big double bed. An equipped kitchen allowed us to cook both nights after long days exploring. Wood burner and radiators meant there was no need to worry about being cold. 15 minutes from the ferry/bridge and 15 minutes to Broadford’s Co-op. For us, it was perfect to check-in one night, explore the whole island the next day, then leave the following day. Thanks Moira for making it so easy.

  • What a great place! It looked good online and was even better in person. Moira’s directions were great and allowed us to find it easily. The Airbnb it’s self is ideal of 2 people of a small family. The little fire is great and it makes it really cosy.

  • Moira was so kind and helpful. The cottage was cozy and warm. The kitchen had everything it needed, the bathroom was super clean and the bed was comfortable. Everything was perfect and I loved the fact that the cottage was surrounded by nature and by Moira’s super cute sheeps and goats. Recommended!

Splendid views, the only sounds the sheep and the little burn tumbling down the hill. only a few minutes drive from Broadford, but a world of its own. • What a wonderful place to stay:) we loved our stay in the mossy cabine:) We will come backe:)

    Patricia2018-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Christine's cabins are an absolute gem. Ours was super modern yet rustic, and it was impeccably clean. But best of all was the location, at the end of a harrowingly narrow and steep road that weaves itself through the mountains and descends into a tiny old fishing village that feels like the end of the Earth. We'll always treasure the memory of our stay here.

  • Perfect location peaceful and with an amazing view in the morning and at sunset. Christine was really reactive and full of advices. The cabin is lovely. We couldn’t have wished for more.

  • A beautiful cabin located in a stunning, secluded village at the end of Torridon. Visited twice by a pine marten! Lovely walks all around and beautiful views over the Loch.

Tigh Brachen Bothies offer you Luxury camping in your very own finnish log cabin, in the heart of the Torridon mountains. Suitable for up to 2 adults & 2 children, Edal has a wonderful spot looking out over the bay. Edal has a King size bed, and a large sofa which opens out into a comfy double sofa bed. It has wonderful sunset views over Loch Diabaig and out to the Isle of Skye.
Our three hand built Finnish self catering timber cabins (Mossy, Edal & Teko) are nestled amongst native woodland on our hillside croft above the shoreline of beautiful Loch Diabaig, offering you accommodation in the heart of Torridon. With views looking out to the Minch, Applecross Peninsula and the Isle of Skye beyond, the constantly changing sky and seascape will keep you enchanted for hours. What could be more relaxing than sipping a glass of wine, warmed by the glow of the camp fireball and watching the sun go down. Our three, one roomed luxury self catering bothies, are fully equipped to help you relax and unwind. Fitted with a kingsize bed and a large comfy sofa (which converts into a double bed), each bothy has a small fitted kitchen area with sink, microwave, fridge, two ring hob, kettle, and toaster (and wine glasses!), and its own private ensuite wetroom with electric shower and eco toilet (gone are the days of communal washrooms!). Each bothy is set in its own special place in our woodland, helping you to reconnect with nature without having to compromise on comfort.
  • Christine was very friendly and helpful with information on arrival. The bothy is great, our kids loved it and it is in a wonderful location with unbeatable views. There’s an outdoor fireplace and a great restaurant at the bottom of the hill. What more could you want?

  • absolutely gorgeous cabin set in a spectacular area. Cozy, clean and had everything we needed. We had a lovely meal at the local restaurant. My husband had broken his ankle a few days before so we didn't manage to bag the munros we planned, need to plan a return visit.

  • Wonderful location and great bothie. Beautiful countryside and a lovely restaurant nearby. Very pretty with lovely walks. Lovely host too.

  • Very much enjoyed our stay in one of these fabulous cabins in the woods. Bed very comfy, very well equipped. Excellent walks from the doorstep and the awesome Torridon mountains a few miles away. A shame exceptionally dry conditions precluded use of the outdoor fireplace but understandable as a large area above the village had burned in a fire recently. A great place to escape modern life though possibly too comfortable for those seeking something truly rustic!

  • Christine and Ross have been amazing hosts! Their kindness and hospitality make you feel home, they have tons of great tailored advice to share on local experiences. Communication is quick and efficient and they literally run to rescue us when we had an issue. The high quality cabin is offering a stunning view on the sea, it’s cozy and comfy, fully furnished and perfect to unwind, feeling at the end of the world! I can only recommend the place and would love to go back!

  • My girlfriend and I feel we got very lucky booking one of Christine's cabins . We had no idea what to expect from the area so basically threw a dart at the map and luck was on our side . These cabins and the Diabaig area are awesome . It's a perfect, quiet location away from everyone and everything . It's a great base camp for people looking to tackle the local peaks, with Beinn Alligin, Liathach and Beinn Eighe all within striking distance . There's also plenty of shorter walks right by the cabins . The little harbour below the cabins is very peaceful and the few locals you may see around are very friendly . There's a lovely little restaurant (the only 'business' premises in the village) a stones throw from the cabins . Christine was a great host and is very knowledgable about the surrounding area with great tips for tackling the local peaks . The cabin itself was beautiful, well made and warm . Can't fault anything from our stay . Exactly what we wanted ! Thanks Christine .

Set in a spectacular bay with terrific views over the loch towards the Applecross hills our basic wooden lodges have a balcony leading in to a living room /kitchen, a bathroom and double bedroom. Cozy, well insulated and with all you need for a few days or a week or more. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable sofa and binoculars to watch the wildlife from your window. We do repeat BASIC though as if you are looking for luxury or a spider or mouse would ruin your visit please book elsewhere.
Set in our rare breeds conservation centre. This lodge offers spectacular views over Loch Carron.
Peace and tranquility, yet only 2 miles from Plockton. 10 mins from the Skye bridge.
  • The cottage is located in a rural area with stunning views of the bay and it is ideal to spend a few quiet days in a retired and wild part of Scotland. The cottage is well-equiped and is comfortable. However, as the advertisement reads, it is not suitable for those looking for luxury or excessive comfort. We spent a couple of terrific days at Patti's place. Highly recommended!

    Gaston2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a place that has lots of character being within an animal farm with a wide variety of farm animals and birds around to feed if you want. The view is pretty good over the loch and the location is pretty secluded. The place reflects the characters who run it which ensured we really enjoyed our stay.

    Adele2018-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Fab location, with plenty of wildlife. Cabin was as advertised, basic, but cosy and well equipped. The crowning glory was a visit from, not one, but two pine martens within minutes of each other, on the table right outside our window. Take a jar of peanut butter with you, if you want the same. We would recommend this accommodation and will probably return.

    Sandra2017-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a good time visiting the area of Plockton, and Patti's cabin. As the description of the house already points out, it's cozy, but really basic. It was quite hard for us to find it in the beginning, so make sure you have all the right information on how to get there. Despite this, we enjoyed our stay here.

    Benjamin2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • If you're after a quiet weekend away filled with incredible views, fresh air and friendly staff, this is the place for you. The views from the lodge are breathtaking and being surrounded by the hills and the animals just made our experience unforgetable. We spent the day in Skye which is an easy but incredible drive. Definitely worth a visit

    Rebecca2017-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent secluded getaway

    Adrian2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay while exploring the local area. The view from the cabin was amazing and the cabin itself was cosy and comfortable, equipped with everything we needed. The hosts were very friendly and it was great to be able to see their conservation farm. We would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable lodge, basic but with all you need for a few days stay. Shower over the bath, living room/kitchen, great views down the loch. We are 5 minutes from picturesque Plockton with great pubs, restaurant and take aways and a pretty harbour. An hour from Applecross over the highest paved road in Britain, terrific views of all the islands, great sandy beach and award winning food in the Inn. We are 15 minutes from the Skye bridge and the banks, supermarket etc in Kyle of Lochalsh.
We live on a farm with llamas, racoons, sheep, goats, pigs, hens, ducks, guinea fowl, rabbits, owls etc and you can walk around the farm and feed them.
We are on a farm, in the countryside 3 miles from the pretty village of Plockton the "Jewel of the Highlands" which has good food, boat trips and music in the pubs.
  • Million Dollar Views from a cozy farm. The views and the animals are really great here. Take time to mingle with the goats, mules, llamas, hens, and ducks. We even met 2 huge owls. This is a very basic accommodation, but the property is stunning and Patti is a lovely hostess. Beware of allergies to mold or mildew, as the Scottish weather prevents the carpets from fully drying and we found the mildew to be harsh on our lungs. If you are expecting a pristine cottage, this may not be for you. But if you are happy to save some money and spend time on a lovely working farm, pop by for a truly unique adventure. Even if you don't stay here, be sure to drive here and visit the farm. It is really fun.

  • A wonderful place to get away from it all, everything you need, and a wonderful host that couldn't be more helpful, highly recommended.

    Ben2018-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • The lodge is located on an animal farm, quite nice if you travel with children. However, the lodges, our at least ours was lived out, dirty, smelly. The surroundings are amazing but there’s a lot of better value available in the surroundings. Host was quite direct, slept us in a lodge of which she knew it could only hold 2, one would need to sleep in the couch but did not provide bedding for that. The experience could have been nicer and friendlier for sure ...

    Katrien2018-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding location overlooking the loch and mountains! The animals on the farm were a treat too. New favourite place :)

    Scott2018-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Patti is a very nice host, the cabin is one of three and is situated on a beautiful spot on a farm with a lot of animals (people come and visit the farm to feed the sheep and lamas!). Close to pretty Plockton and also to Skye (30 minutes drive). We enjoyed our stay, though we did not spend much time there, only slept and cooked some food.

    Adam2018-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had 2 nights here. The view was stunning. Patti made us very welcome. The lodge is not luxury, as Patti says in her details, but it is very comfortable and everything we needed was provided. It is very peaceful here. Would stay here again if we were in this area again. Patti was very thoughtful, leaving fresh flowers and snacks etc for us.

    Cath2018-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Loved every second staying at Craig Highland Farm lodge! Patti was a wonderful hostess, such a lovely and interesting lady. Accomodation had everything we needed, welcome pack and fresh flowers were a lovely added touch. Stunning views of the beach which we spent hours exploring at low and high tide. Lots of friendly animals to feed, the raccoons were a particular highlight for me. Such a tranquil wee place, perfect for a peaceful romantic getaway. We will definitely be back!

  • The most perfect little holiday cabin in the most beautiful and peaceful location overlooking the Loch! What a hidden gem! We were greated by Christine who was so friendly and welcoming and gave us an abundance of tips about the area. The cabin has everything you will need and it's so cosy...we really didn't want to leave. We can't recommend enough and really hope to return there sometime soon. Thanks again Christine (& Russ). • As real estate agents say, “location, location, location!” Situated about 25min from the last “town” these one-room log cabins are nestled in what seems to be the end of the world. And just happen to be found near the departures for maybe some of the most beautiful hiking spots in the entire country. As a family with an 8 year old we stuck to the easier hikes but you’ve got all levels it would seem. The cabins themselves feel a bit cramped for a family but there is a common area cabin with extra cooking facilities and a large table so you can spread out a bit plus a campfire spot that’s also a lovely hangout. There’s actually a restaurant down at the bottom of the hill though it’s closed Sunday evenings, Mondays and Tuesdays so bring plenty of stuff to cook as there is no general store past the afore mentioned town. All in all for hikers and nature lovers this place can’t be beat.

  • Despite the weather not being on our side we had a lovely 3 day stay in one of Christine's cabins. She gave us a warm welcome and a super useful roundup of all the local hikes. The cabin itself was warm, cosy and clean and a perfect little home away from home. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful Highland escape in a beautiful location.

Der Pub in der Nachbarschaft ist sehr gut, aber hat Montag und Dienstag geschlossen, dass bei eurer Verpflegungsplanung berücksichtigen, die letzte Einkaufsmöglichkeit ist Torridon. Freundlichkeit, Hilfsbereitschaft, Top.

  • The location is good with wonderful view. The house itself is amazing. We had great time there. However, there were 6 of us. Only 3 of us could take shower and then no more hot water. We thought it would be fine in the morning but not really. Checked out time is quite early 10am. Hot water was ready at 9:30, not really helpful and we couldn’t find anyone to help. That’s the only point we’d mention if you book as a group. Apart from that, everything is perfect and will stay there again when visit isle of (Hidden by Airbnb)

  • Beautiful modern property with amazing view! Even though this property is in rather secluded area on the isle of sky, there is a walking path to the Sligachan hotel (less than 5 min walk) where there is a great restaurant/bar and even a craft brewery. And it's only a short 15 min drive to the main town of Portree. Would most definitely stay here again!
