Stay in one of three unique, rustic little cabins at Mosque Lake: Hilltop, Pioneer and Lakeside. Each cabin has a kitchenette/dinning room, bedroom, living space and bathroom (toilet and cold water sink) in an open space style. All cabins have electricity but no heat sources. Nights start to get cold in late August . Bring lots of warm clothes for layers and extra blankets for sleeping (a winter hat for sleeping). Bring your own water toys, ATV and hiking gear. Fishing license a must!
Seasonal rental : typically mid April (depends on spring thaw) to mid October (depends on frost). Sleeping Arrangements - bunk beds - top bunk single - bottom bunk double mattress - bring all bedding, pillows and towels (we provide mattress covers) Each cabin has: - deck space - BBQ (we provide propane, utensils) - mugs, glasses, plates, bowls, utensils - coffee maker, kettle, stove (with oven), European style fridge/freezer (narrower and shorter than standard American/Canadian) - kitchen table, counter space and each cabin has a unique layout of extra living space - dish soap - nightly composting program - garbage and recycle collection - toilet paper (nothing else goes in the toilets as we are on septic system) - water from a well (safe to cook with, bring spring water for drinking to avoid the well taste) - access to a separate hot water shower (shared among the three cabins). What you can do when here: - hike the ATV trails - swim (beach shallow entry and deep dock entry) - bring a bike, canoe, motorboat or kayak (no we don’t have any on site) - fish (must have an Ontario fishing license) - explore the local area (closest town Ompah is 13 minutes away and Plevna is 17) - day trip to Ottawa - relax and enjoy the call of the loons and the amazing stars - yoga on the dock You should bring: - all bedding, pillows - towels (beach, bath and tea) - food - spring water - variety of clothes for different weather - card games (we have some) - flashlights for getting around at night - shampoo and conditioner and soap - bathing suits, sunblock and bug jackets or bug spray (sorry but that is a reality for May, June and July ... it’s why we can catch lots of fish) - whatever else you need to have an amazing vacation Extra information: - well behaved healthy dogs are welcome (not allowed on furniture) - dogs must be leashed when outside (except when swimming) - humans must scoop dog poop - ticks have started to arrive in the region. Be aware and check your dogs, children and self The owners and your on site hosts (Bob and Sue) live nearby and will welcome you and give you a tour of the area. Bob makes a mean bonfire and will start one for any guests. The bonfire pit is shared among all cabins for fire safety. This is not a party location.
Remote location. Yes there are neighbours nearby, however these cabins are off the beaten path!
  • 1 word, wow! The fall colours were amazing! We enjoyed every moment of our stay!! I can’t believe how absolutely amazing this place it! A small piece of heaven off the beaten path! Absolutely perfect! Thanks so much!

  • This little place is amazing. The bay provides beautiful sunset. The cabin is clean, quiet and very well-maintained. You can see that a lot of work is undergo to continue improving this corner of paradise - very hardworking people. We will ret this place again.

  • The hosts are the most welcoming and generous ones I've ever seen. Their cabin is a wonderful place you are looking for to experience relaxing and great moments. The place is cozy, clean with a fantastic view of the lake. I will definitely plan to visit them again.

  • This is one of my favourite destinations. A quiet, peaceful, beautiful spot not too far from Ottawa to enjoy the outdoors. Has everything you need and more. Is always spotless when I arrive. Sue and Bob are amazing.

  • We stayed in the Lakeside Cabin and it was AWESOME. So cute & cozy!!! The view is FANTASTIC. It’s very hard to describe how amazing this place is with words… You simply MUST go and see it for yourself! We stayed 4 nights my husband, our 6 years old son and our 2 dogs and I wish we would have stayed a full week. Bob & Sue are so friendly, they are GREAT host! You can see them walking around and always ready for a little chat. OH! Don’t miss Bob’s amazing bonfire, it’s a must! All in all, this place is basically a little piece of paradise. We can’t wait to go back again, and we would highly recommend this lovely place to everyone.

  • Our Lakeside cabin was terrific. It was cute, cozy and overlooked gorgeous Mosque Lake. We enjoyed meeting the other guests but were able to have lots of private time. (We were on our honeymoon)! We fished with our puppy in our canoe (with no luck) , enjoyed swimming and did a bit of scuba diving! The dock was lovely, peaceful and was the perfect setting to put our feet up and read. The location was great and we took a drive into nearby Perth to enjoy the quaint town and do a little shopping. Bob and Sue were terrific hosts and we hope to return next year for our first anniversary!

    Jacqueline2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a special place! Words can not describe how beautiful this lake is. The cabin was small, quaint and exactly what we needed. We can not wait to come back again.

  • The explorer cabin exceeded our expectations by a mile. My girlfriend and I booked the cabin when we were looking for a last minute cottage getaway and didn’t know what to initially expect, but we were blown away. Every penny you pay is certainly worth it for this cabin. You absolutely will not find a better deal for what it is. The actual cabin was much larger than we expected. The bedroom on the main floor was quite large and had a nice bed with tons of space to hang up clothes. The living area/kitchen had everything you could possibly need to cook any meal just like you do at home. The bathroom was huge and had an awesome shower with hot water that never acted up and stayed hot for as long as you needed. The up stairs loft was just an extra treat for us, since it was just the two of us staying there. It had more than ample space to host at least 3 other people, and was a nice addition to the interior of the cabin. For us it became a nice place to relax and play some guitar when the sun went down. The front deck was the perfect size for us, and came with an awesome and clean bbq which we did a lot of our cooking on. It also had a nice little dinner table with an umbrella when we could sit down and eat outside in comfort. The cabin was nicely nestled in a fairly shaded area so it was a nice temperature inside at all times even though it was hot outside. Both the back and front docks were amazing and we had a great time swimming in the lake and relaxing on our rafts. Overall, we recommend this cabin to everyone, it definitely checked all of our boxes and we would definitely like to come back again!

  • Great people to deal with. Fantastic fishing and ATV get away. Simple yet perfect.

    Mireille2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at the Explorer Cabin. It is one of several nice cabins near the water. Extremely quiet and peaceful, with no motor boats to disturb the serenity. It was very clean and comfortable. We hadn’t read the fine print about the water not being potable so did a lot of boiling! You’ll also want to pack beach chairs as there isn’t much seating at the waterfront. The hosts were welcoming and always available to help when needed. The only other thing we would have wanted was a living space with somewhere comfy to sit. Other than that, it’s a great deal and we’d definitely come back!

    Gail2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful place. Our hosts were welcoming and knowledgeable. The lake was warm and lovely. The kids and dog had the best time in and out of the lake. We bird watched, star gazed and had an all around great stay.

  • What an amazing place! The cabin was extremely clean and very comfortable. Bob and Sue were very helpful and we enjoyed their kind and pleasant personalities. The lake was beautiful. Defiantly a place we will return too. Thank you so much for an amazing few days!

  • Cozy, quiet cabin retreat. Gorgeous, quiet lake with the option of shallow or deep water. Excellent fishing! Next time we will bring kayaks to explore the lake. Our cabin was spotless and set up with everything you could need. Our son loved the loft! Great for kids and their imaginations! The property is well kept. All the adjacent cabins have been updated. Its a perfect spot to have a family reunion! We are already planning our next stay! A true gem and well kept secret! Best wishes to the owners!

    Peristera2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to go and see undisturbed nature. Both lakes are very healthy and clean with lots of fish and other marine life such as turtles. The night sky in this area is beautiful at night and a great change from the city. The hosts were lovely and accommodating. The other guests were super friendly as well. The chickens; Pale, Red and Attitude , were very welcoming. Our toddler loved wandering around and watching all of the frogs and birds. The cabin was very clean and beautifully built. The loft space is quite big and there was plenty of room for our family of three. My suggestions for future visitors would be to bring fans(!!), bring some serious bug spray, get prepared for a pretty long dirt road (but it's so worth it,) and make sure you have everything you need already with you because it's a bit of a trip into town. All in all, we loved our trip. If you're looking for an escape out of the city; this is the place for you.

The rooms are upstairs in a cute little bakery coffee house in the countryside in plevna, Ontario. The space which is upstairs is sunny and bright and really really quiet and peaceful. Guests will be welcome to request breakfast or dinner or a picnic lunch if they decide to go for a hike or a bike ride as there are many parks and hundreds of beautiful lakes in the area... This area in north frontenac a best kept secret
  • Nuala's place is fantastic. I would easily recommend others to stay with her.

    Shehzad2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time at Nuala’s bakery! Clean simple accommodation. Exactly what I was looking for. Nuala was super friendly and gave me free treats from the bakery!

    Tony2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Shamrock Bakery was the perfect launching pad for an amazing two days of kayaking at the nearby lakes and in Bon Echo park. Nuala's hospitality, baking, and story telling is second to none and we highly recommend others to experience this hidden gem even if it means that we have more competition for those incredible cinnamon buns! Thank you Nuala and we will be seeing you again .

  • A cozy nook with a comfy bed and the basic amenities you need to enjoy a night here. Very quiet and comfortable. Friendly hosts, great morning coffee and yummy smells of baked goods. A great jumping off point or quick overnight spot for nearby outdoorsy destinations.

  • The room was cozy and clean, and the area is gorgeous. The food was delicious, (and waking up the smell of baking is a huge plus.) The host is a completely lovely person as well. Very enjoyable stay.

    Audrey2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy, clean, comfortable stay. The host gave a wonderful greeting, and even made us dinner as we checked in pretty late. We had the perfect amount of privacy. The host was very helpful with local tips and made sure we felt comfortable in her space.

  • Nuala's place was a wonderful place to stay. She was an amazing host. Had lots of great chats with her, and the locals who would pop in because her bakery is so gooooood! She is a great baker and everything from the cookies to the scones to the Jams were amazing. So delicious. Bought various things to bring back home. The room was good too and everything was as advertised. The bed was very comfortable. Had a great sleep on it each night. Nuala also gave us lots of great tips about the area and surrounding towns. I've stayed at 5 star hotels around the world and this was a great experience with wonderful service. Also, checked out the near by dark sky preserve and Bon Echo Park. Highly recommend.

This private 2+ acre retreat offers breathtaking views of Kashwakamak Lake and full day sun exposure on the lakeside dock. The cottage is on quiet road with a 150’ of clear, weed free water; there's even a canoe for exploring. The cottage offers modern amenities and is 15 minutes from groceries, gas & beer/LCBO. You won't be disappointed if you're seeking a tranquil vacation. NOTE: check in is Sat and check out the following Sat. Msg if requesting different or enquiring about pets.
This cottage is nestled among the trees like an adult tree fort. The cottage is open concept with lots of space for 7 guests to relax. Please note, there are stairs from the cottage to the lake (see pics)...but the exercise is worth the stunning views and fresh air. Pets are not typically allowed however, message us and an exception might be considered pending the type.
Cottage is 5 minutes south of Bon Echo Provincial Park. The lake is large (18 km long) and boasts clean, calm and warm summer swimming and fishing. Because the lake is 65% crown land, it is also a very peaceful and quiet retreat; you will not feel like a sardine in a can on Kashwakamak. The cottage is surrounded by 75 acres of private property, is located on a very large bay (Browns Bay) and is only occupied by approximately 16 cottages. There is also a rope swing (within a canoe ride distance) and a public boat launch (access on Brown's Bay Rd) on the bay. The local area has gas, groceries, restaurants, hardware stores, outdoor/fishing supplies, LCBO, Beer Store, pharmacy, golf course, petting zoo/animal rescue and more within a 15 minute drive. You are in the great wilderness but have everything you need within a short drive. Note: the dump is a short drive from the cottage so it is convenient for your waste disposal upon departure. Our neighbours are quiet yet very friendly. Often times, you won't even know they are there.

Wake up to the call of the loons and the sun rising over shimmering water. Explore the lake with our two kayaks and pedal boat. Relax indoors in our clean, well maintained, rustic space. Fire up the wood stove if it gets a bit chilly. If it rains, there is a shelf full of DVDs, puzzles and board games. Grill your meals on the BBQ, and roast your marshmallows over the fire pit by the lake. We are in a "dark sky preserve", so the stars shine extra bright. S'mores never tasted so good!
The drive in off the main road is a scenic 5-10 minutes on a windy dirt road through the forest. The road isn't illuminated, so use caution if arriving or departing at night, as you may encounter wildlife! We often see coyotes, foxes, wild turkeys, porcupines, etc. There are about 20 steps leading from the driveway to the front entrance. There is a "master" bedroom with a double bed, and a second bedroom with a double bed and twin bed above it (bunk bed style). There is also a toddler bed in that second room. Finally, the futon sofa in the living room also unfolds into a very comfy double bed. We hope you enjoy your stay!
You can't see the neighbours and they can't see you. It's very private.
  • This cottage is a real gem. It's surrounded by beautiful trees and is next to a stunning lake - this space is so relaxing! As it was raining the first night, we took advantage of the indoor fireplace and played board games. The next day, we were able to enjoy the outdoors and the amazing view, and even make a fire at night. Highly recommend!

  • Not our first time and won’t be our last. Great to see Bob and Sue again. Fantastic hosts. It’s a perfect family getaway. My son loves the cottage. It’s great that our dog is welcome too. Next year we’re considering a week. Thank you for another great weekend!

  • This is the second time we’ve rented this cottage and will definitely come again! The location is so beautiful and peaceful. With two points of access to the lake, the kids and dogs loved the sandy shallow side and the adults enjoyed swimming in the deep side. Bob and Sue (owners who live there) are so friendly yet very respectful of their visitors privacy. The cottage has everything you would need. Highly recommend this place.

    Mariana2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay! Beautiful location! Excellent fishing! Spent 4 nights here and had a perfect time! Everything was exactly as described in the listing, no surprises at all. Our kids (5 and 7) absolutely loved it, between swimming, catching frogs, tadpoles and crayfish, and fishing for Lakers, Rainbows and Perch they were never at a loss for something to do. Bob and Sue are amazing hosts, very friendly and accommodating. They exceeded our expectations in every way. We are already planning a return visit this September, can't wait! Thanks again Bob and Sue!

    Jamie2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect summer cottage getaway! We had a fantastic time, thank you!

    Jane2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful, peaceful place, in spite of mosquito, midges and flies. Many wild animals, trout, many beautiful birds such as hummingbird. From the back of the cottage is a wonderful dock from which you can dive into the water and catch fish. The hosts are friendly and always ready to help in any situation. Stock up on water as water is not very good quality and you have to use your own water drink or wash dishes. Grocery stores 15 minutes away. A good place to relaxed by soul and body, avoiding the city rush.

    Natasha2019-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time in 2 years that we have rented this cottage. This cottage is clean, well kept, in a perfect location and very spacious. We had a great time and appreciated How Bob and Sue were always close by. Thanks Sue for the unexpected surprise of freshly smoked trout. See you again next year.

  • We had a fantastic weekend. The cabin is all you need. Extremely clean, well designed, and in a perfect location as well. The poor petty is truly your playground and up to you how you use it. We went cross country skiing each day, venturing through the woods and trying to track beavers footprints. The barbecue worked great for cooking, and Mary Ellen has everything figured out from a power standpoint ensuring you have access to solar power and propane. We had a small miscommunication that delayed our stay by one night, but it all worked out in the end and we are really looking forward to returning! Highly recommend.

  • Beautiful spot, cozy, clean, and stylish tiny home. Great area for cross country skiing. Mary Ellen, is a great host. Thank you! We hope to be back!

  • Exactly as advertised and spotless clean. Mary Ellen greets you and gives a quick tutorial on the electric and gas systems. Lots of forest to wander and then come back and relax by the campfire and listen to nature.

  • It was an exceptional and rejuvenating journey. Right in the middle of nature, the place is calm and very pleasant. I recommend to anyone who wants to take a break from their life ... thank you very much.

  • Mary Ellen's tiny home is a lovely space. Just what we needed for an evening getaway. We stayed there in January and went for a nice walk around the beaver pond in the morning. The retreat is easy to find with Google maps and check in was simple. Would recommend :)

  • Great place to relax and unwind. My boyfriend and I went for 3 nights in cottage #2 and had an amazing time. We were greeted by Louise (the sweetest woman), who let us know where everything was. She left us alone the remainder of the time (other than the occasional chat as she walked past). The cottage was very clean and had everything you could need in the kitchen. The only thing I would tell you to bring is a foam pad for the beds for extra comfort, but if you're not picky you'll survive. The enclosed porch was the highlight. We spent hours in the evening playing cards and listening to the loons on the lake, **without getting eaten by mosquitoes**. The #1,#2, and #3 cottages are relatively close together, but we never saw or heard our neighbours at night. We LOVED the small beach area that had great swimming, a jumping raft a short swim away, and beautiful sunset views. (Bring water shoes if you don't like to touch seaweed when jumping off the raft). We also rented one of the canoes and it was a great choice. The views on the water are something you don't want to miss, so take advantage. The lake is great for fishing too. If you have kiddos, the bench at the beach is a great spot to cast in the evening. Only 25ish minutes from Bon Echo Provincial Park (which you have to see if you're in the area). And only 20 minutes from Northbrook, which has a grocery store, lcbo, beer store, and gas station(that has worms for fishing). We absolutely loved our time there, and are already planning a trip next summer!

  • Louise is a wonderful host. We had a fun weekend. The cottage was great. The locals were friendly. We were very satisfied with our stay.

  • If you want to get away and unwind, this place is just what you need - rustic, next to a lake and steps away from a cute little beach, where you can rent canoes, kayaks and paddle boats. Louise and Robb are very welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!

    Alexandra2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Cabin 2 was the perfect little space for our family of 3. It was exactly what a cottage should be. It had everything we needed, and it had a wonderfully unique rustic feel. I was glad it had a private bathroom off the screened porch, and the shared shower was super clean. We rented a canoe for 2 hours (20bucks) and bought some firewood for 5. The beach is pristine and the water clean and clear. We loved our time venturing to the different islands, hiking in Bon Echo a short drive away, and swimming and jumping off the dock. It's a private and quiet space with beautiful views. This has been a vacation to remember, and it's all thanks to this resort and the hospitality of Louise and her husband. We really cannot wait to return! If you can...you really must stay here! If you want a true cottage experience, THIS is your answer. Enjoy!

    Catherine2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is exactly as advertised. If you want a cottage weekend without the crowds of other cottage locations, this is the place to go! The people who live there are friendly and fun, the owner is outstanding . The lake is peaceful but lots to do. Bon echo is a close drive to! Thank you for giving us a wonderful experience.

    Cody2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • If your looking for a quiet vacation with the family or a weekend getaway this is a great spot. Close enough to a store if you forgot anything but far enough away so you don’t hear the traffic. Our family highly recommends Louise place. Super friendly and also pet friendly. This is the place to go. Thanks again Louise for an amazing time

  • Our stay at Lindsey's cabin was perfect. We were a group of 5 friends and had an awesome time there, everything was as described and they were very reactive. We would 100% recommend this airbnb !

    Jeanne2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Everything is as described in the listing and by other reviewers. This is a pet friendly rental which is fine but there is a bit of dog hair around so something to be aware of if you are allergic. Host’s are always available and the location is unique. Looking forward to staying again when we are not held captive indoors by a fierce ice storm so we can explore the hill behind the cottage.

Your rental includes full cottage and boat house access. Parking for your own boat is available. The dock can accommodate boats on both sides of the boathouse.
The public boat launch is right next door! The public beach is only a few doors down from our property. Approx a 5 minutes walk.
  • couldn't ask for anything more, beautiful place, easy to find, great view, clean and warm lake, and we had great weather for our stay

    Peter2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was amazing. Jen was responsive and proactive in sending me information when I needed it. The property is quite large. The views from inside the cottage were breathtaking. The windows are massive and the breeze from the lake flows into the house, which was nice. The water is crystal clear and extremely clean, perfect for swimming or kayaking. The boathouse had everything we needed for the water (life vests, floaties, pool noodles). The property has a good balance of shady spots and places to soak up the sun. Inside was beautiful and was stocked with everything we needed (coffee maker, cups, plates, pots, pans utensils, towels). If you're looking for a place to escape the city, and enjoy some amazing views, this cottage is for you. Can't wait to return to this gem!

    Hardehn2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome spot to enjoy the lake from either the dock, the various watercraft or from the postcard perfect view from inside the cottage.

    Bruce2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Jenn for offering your beautiful home to my family and I. We had an incredible time. It was exactly what we were looking for and more, clean and private with serene views! The space was large enough for my family (5) and our little dog. We enjoyed using the kayaks and canoe. The lake was warm, shallow and clean. Jenn was also incredibly quick to answer any questions I had! Definitely would want to visit again!

    Lema2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous location, clear lake and cozy cottage :)

    Nina2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • We could not have asked for a better weekend at Jenn's cottage. It's an easy drive from Ottawa. The cottage is spacious and has a very nice lookout over a beautiful lake. There is only one neighbour beside the cottage and they are separated by thick trees, so there is tons of privacy. We were there on a hot weekend and were still comfortable without A/C. The water is super clear and great for swimming. The cottage comes basically fully stocked except food and drinks. Jenn was always easily accessible and was a great help when we were looking for nearby golf courses and boat rentals. Thanks Jenn!

    Dane2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • This spot truly is paradise. Beautiful cabin, big windows onto the gorgeous clear lake... kayaking, canoeing, great fishing. Firepit by the shore, boathouse docks great for swimming and catching fish. Truly a special spot

    Colin2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is for nature lovers who want to get off the grid. The location on Palmerston Lake offers one of the best views from one end of the lake to the other. The fishing is good and local amenities help with any additional items you may have forgotten. If your looking for a quiet week on the water this is the place.

  • Brock’s cottage was very lovely. My husband and I stayed there with two friends as a winter getaway. The place was spacious and nicely decorated. We weren’t allowed to use the fireplace but the place was very warm. The highlight of the stay was to enjoy the hot tub looking out the frozen lake. I think it’d be very nice to stay there in summer as well, and would like to come back. Highly recommended for a place for a peaceful getaway.

    Hyunjin2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Brock’s place was above and beyond what we expected. Everything to enjoy your stay was supplied and the hot tub was superb. The drive was about an hour and twenty minutes from Kingston and I think I counted on 5 turns door-to-door. I would recommend to anyone wanting to get away for the weekend and enjoy relaxing stay. I can only imagine what a great location this will be during the summer months. Book now if you haven’t already!

  • We had a great, relaxing stay at Debbie's. The cabin has everything you need and what a beautiful spot! Loved hearing the water and sitting out under the trees. The facilities were so clean and the bed was very comfortable. Thank you Debbie and Warren!

    Robin2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie and Warren were great hosts! They were very accommodating and even lent me a toque since it was quite chilly in early Oct. Lovely cabin and gorgeous views.

  • Fantastic, cozy place with lots of privacy. Debbie was very helpful finding us local boat launches and setting us up. Would come back.

    Rob2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Love this charming minimalistic glamping site! Debbie and Reave went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and at home. Their home is down the hill if you need anything but rest assured the lot is very private. Thanks for the after bite cream, the extra wood and letting us tour your art studio! This place definitely made our anniversary trip so romantic with the rapids and naps in the hammock, we’re excited for our next visit!

    Joëlle2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • As an affordable tiny cabin experience surrounded by water-it was totally worthwhile. Had a fantastic time hanging out by the rapids, some good fishing, swimming, having bonfires, admiring the vivid night sky and kayaking about! Frequent sightings of "Gary" the local blue heron was an added delight. Additionally, the great hosts, Debbie and Warren, knew just what to recommend to suit our unwritten adventure!!

    Erin2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place to get away and unwind! I could not have asked for a more picturesque view of two lakes. Debbie and Warren provided all the necessities, and I thoroughly felt at home on the ridge.. I didn't want to leave after my stay (and neither did the dogs)! Despite not being completely remote, it felt like a true rustic camping experience and not having a cell phone signal forced me to be able to fully unwind and embrace the beauty of this location. I would most definitely return in the future.

    Ashley2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful, peaceful spot, incredibly well set-up by the loveliest hosts. Incredible hospitality, wonderful access to both lakes, and spectacular views. We canoed and fished on Georgia Lake, and portaged over to Marble Lake for a full afternoon. Visited Bon Echo - it's a quick drive for a spectacular visit. We can't wait to come back to this little glamping paradise!

That being said, there was great fishing, and canoeing and a really large sandy beach great for swimming not too long of a walk away. Waking up right overlooking the water in our tiny cabin was exactly the kind of family bonding we were looking forward too. We look forward to coming back again. The hosts were very helpful and quick to respond. I highly recommend.

  • We had an amazing time at John & Connie's place during the long weekend. You have so many things to do both indoor and outdoor. Moreover, you will find a lot of space and amenities, which is perfect for a big group. We loved the fireplace and their games room, exactly what you need in cold weather. Looking forward to returning next year.

This dock side beach house keeping cabin is a roomy 2 bedroom with full kitchen, bath with shower and sitting / TV area. It will sleep 6 people with a double bed and 2 single beds. There is also a double futon.
We are located 15 mins from Bon Echo Provincal park and this are has been designated as a dark sky zone. Star gazing is amazing. Fishing is great if you have the right bait.
I love the sand and sun with my morning coffee. Nothing like the call of the Loons across the lake while roasting marshmallows over a campfire.

  • Connie's place was fantastic! It was right next to a lake where we went canoeing, and there was also a volleyball net there, but we unfortunately didn't bring a volleyball! The actual residence itself only had a couple of bugs and the kitchen equipment was very useful even if a bit old. Overall, it was an amazing experience for the price! Highly recommend!

You do need your own boat or canoe! My place is close to great views, parks, wilderness, outdoor fun and adventure. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). Parents with toddlers be advised that you would have to keep a close eye on the little ones as it is rocky, or uneven around the cabin. Its a great place for fishing, canoeing, and other outdoor activities. It's like camping, but in the comfort of a cabin.
The cabin is only accessible by boat or canoe. The distance is little shy of 600m, 15 min canoe or 4min motor boat ride. Parking is available at the Crotch Lake Access Road. You will have to acquire a parking passes from the north Frontenac park web page. The public boat launch is located there as well.
At the southern point where we are located you can find a small community consisting of other cottages, and two fishing lodges.
  • Great place. Everything you could want.

    Mike2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • We took our 21 month old here and she really enjoyed it . Lots of rocks to throw in the water ! Beautiful location and Vojin was very quick to respond to any inquires. Would definitely go back

    Kelsey2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cabin! Easy to get to, basic and rustic. You need to bring your own stuff (bedding, water, etc) but the host is clear about that and we were pleasantly surprised. Great dock and very picturesque!

    Jamie2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Vojin’s place is off the grid, close to land, easy to rent a boat and take a quick 4 minute boat ride to the cabin where you will find all the basics and all the needs for rugged campers. Lots of air flow through the cabin so you get lots of fresh air, would recommend bringing a small fan for a little more air flow as it is very hot in the summer. Lots of room in the cabin and all the essential cook ware and stove, oven and bbq. Running water and shower was great. Bring your own drinking water. The dock is great for jumping off of and tanning. The lake itself is absolutely amazing. Very deep fantastic fishing. Lots of small mouth bass and yellow perch. Great for trolling or finding little coves. Owners cabin is close but still lots of privacy. Recommend bringing lots and lots of bug spray and mosquito coils as the mosquitos and deer flies were very bad. Overall it is an amazing get away going to Vojin’s place in the middle of crown land and an oasis away from the big cities.

    Chris2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing cabin! It’s a beautiful rustic area perfect for swimming and outdoor activities. Basically the best version of camping. Can’t wait to return!

    Julia2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin at a great location. Definitely off grid but the basics are there...certainly recommend especially for fishermen.

    Ryan2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • We spent our honeymoon weekend at Vojin's cabin on Crotch lake. We had a really great time and it was a perfect romantic adventure. At first I was a bit anxious trying to figure out how to pack given that we would have to canoe over but the canoe trip was fun (a bit windy), only took about 15-20 minutes (given the wind), and the cabin was easy to locate. We had no issues parking at the Crotch Lake Access parking and I had purchased a road permit as Vojin recommended. Vojin was very quick to answer all of my many questions. The cabin is located on a beautiful peninsula. You can't beat the view from the deck and the dock. We had fun barbecuing and finishing each night off with a campfire. The cabin itself was comfortable and fairly well appointed. We had no issues with the power or the composting toilet. We couldn't get any hot water but the cold showers at the end of the night were refreshing. One thing I will say is that the mosquitoes were quite bad and I feel as though I left a pound of flesh behind at that lake. So I do recommend bringing some bug spray and citronella. We hiked "Linda's Loop" located just up from the Crotch Lake Access Parking. The trail follows the shoreline for many beautiful views and also takes you into some beautiful woods. It is fairly well marked, but the blazes in some spots are faded or fallen down and therefore hard to see. Again, the bugs were vicious and I really wished we had brought some bug buckets to put over our hats. Also, one word of warning, our dog did stumble across a massassauga rattlesnake not far off the trail (we had her on a leash). I don't recommend the route to the totally inexperienced hiker and be sure to wear long pants, sleeves, and proper boots. Overall, we had a great time and hope that we can make it back to Vojin's cabin some day!

Nearby conservation areas include Crotch Lake Conservation Reserve and Hungry Lake Conservation Reserve.
  • What a lovely space. Two comfy chairs by the dock let us watch a beautiful sunset and enjoy the stars until the most amazing full moon rose and lit up the beach. In the morning I sat and watched the water from a spacious front deck and listened only to birdsong. The lake is so clear you can see the bottom even when out in the canoe. We also brought our kayaks and we could drive right to the dock to drop them off. I also loved the well appointed kitchen and in the evening the large selection of videos to enjoy. Comfy bed put the entire stay over the top. Many thanks to cedar retreat

  • We had a wonderful experience at the Cedar Retreat! All amenities, clean and comfortable, we will definitely be back. We were surprised by how large the property is and by how incredibly private it felt the whole time. The kids loved playing at the beach, there were lots of places to sit, play, or just hang out. This cottage is ideal Canadian “cottage country”. Cute, nicely decorated and more than enough space. Thanks again for a great summer holiday!

  • We had a great time at Louise’s place. we usually tent camp so it was nice to stay in a cabin for a change. The cabin was reminiscent of the old days with added modern conveniences. I especially liked the screen porch with view of lake and protection from bugs. Floors were clean, beds comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. We spent time on the small beach, the lake was clean for swimming, row boating is great exercise and campfire was lots of fun. Kids had good time. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, clean cabin with everything you need on Big Gull Lake. Stylishly decorated, great views, amazing swimming area, screened in porch and hiking. Get away from it all. Enjoy your morning coffee while watching the sun rise and the loons swim around the island. The cabin is right by the water there are two docks and great dinning area on one off them for outdoor dinners and refreshments. Two double beds, one pull out couch. Access to canoes and kayaks, lifejackets and paddles.
Canoes and BBQs (bring your own charcoal)
Sharbot Lake is 30 minutes away, great hiking trails and camping available nearby. Day access to amazing campsites on the lake, but permits are needed for over night camping. There is a public boat launch nearby if you want to bring a larger boat.
  • Our family with kids enjoyed an amazing weekend at this charming cottage that exudes Canadian "Up North" authenticity. Above-average across the board but standouts were the excellent canoes, the great fire pit, the comfortable dock dining area, the swimming, and more. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, and the screened-in porch was down-home cozy with a giant view. We saw beavers and loons up close from the property (Canadian, eh?) and anglers both young and old had lucky times from the dock. Overall, we can't compliment William and his rental enough. We will return!

    Ken2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and 3 friends came up to fish and relax and that is exactly what we got. The fishing was ok, quite a few bass and a couple walleye. The cottage had everything we needed, a complete kitchen and comfortable beds . Great location . Cottage owner was only a text away when we had a question with a quick response. We are considering returning next year.

The cabin is beautiful with all the rustic charm you want with all the modern amenities in place to make your stay easy. The dock beside the boathouse is a great place to sit and watch the cottage life all around and take in the wildlife. The included canoes and kayaks were wonderful ways to explore the lake and take in the great fishing. Thanks for having us! We’d love to return sometime.

Our family of 4 enjoyed every minute of our stay . The view on the lake, the small beach and the playground for the kids were great. We used the BBQ provided by Louise every day and the swinging chairs on the pontoon were perfect to enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine. • We had a wonderful stay here. Hanne and her husband were lovely hosts and very accommodating. The farm and cottage are beautiful and the alpacas are wonderful! It was great to be able to visit the barn and learn more about the alpacas. We had issues with cellphone reception (rogers) so just a heads up before you go there. They had Wi-Fi so it wasn't a problem.

  • If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet, and cozy getaway this is the perfect place! My boyfriend and I loved the area and being able to go on a beautiful walk to see the stunning lake was just perfect. Hanne and Robert are such lovely hosts! They gave us a tour of the barn, recommendations of what to do during our stay, and were also there to answer any questions we had! During the first night of our stay there was a bad storm that caused a power outage but Hanne and Robert quickly came over to supply some more flashlights and candles, we had a nice romantic dinner! The beds were also really comfortable and made for a good nights sleep! We have no complaints, we will definitely be returning!

  • We had a great stay at Hanne and Robert's place. Very clean and spacious cottage and it was great to spend sone time with the alapacas. Highly recommended!

  • Hanne's place was lovely, we highly recommend a visit. Our kids (ages 3 and 5) had a lot of fun feeding the alpacas, saying hi to their dogs, and playing on their sweet playground. We were warmly welcomed and got an excellent little tour of the barn to meet the animals. The cottage is spacious and picturesque with lots of windows to watch the clouds and alpacas -we had some interesting storms during our visit. The beds were extra comfy, you are sure to sleep well. Pick up some cheese from the Back 40 cheese folks if you happen to be there on Saturday (only open on Saturday, and just 8 mins drive away). Hanne and Robert have great handmade alpaca items for purchase, so don't leave without checking out the store!

  • Hanne and Robert were wonderful hosts. Very welcoming, helpful and kind. Our stay began with a welcome gift of a beautiful bowl of fruit and a bottle of wine. The last night Robert took my husband and son out to do some fishing and they had a great time. Hanne and Robert were close by to answer any questions and offer any help. The house was clean and clearly represented in the photos. They were lovely hosts and the alpacas were a very fun and interesting bonus.

  • Hanne's place is comfortable, beautiful and welcoming. The alpacas and the store are one-of-a-kind, and both Hanne and her husband are so welcoming and accommodating. We look forward to coming back some day soon!

  • Hanne and Robert were amazing hosts from beginning to end. They have a beautiful property and it was a special treat to be able to see the alpacas and purchase some items that were made with their fleece. They were very helpful and warm. This was one of our top stays at any Airbnb, a truly unique experience. Thank you so much Hanne and Robert and we look forward to coming again!

My place is on Marble Lake, close to Bon Echo Provincial Park, fishing, boating, swimming, ATV trails, skidoo trails, golfing, tennis. You’ll love it because of the space, high ceilings, modern but rustic decor, close to shallow sandy beach for kids. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), and pets(approved by me).
1100 square feet of living space available all seasons which includes large eat-in kitchen, family area, dining area, living room, 2 bedrooms, storage room, and washroom. Lots of windows and natural light.
All within 10 minutes drive: Bon Echo Provincial Park, Pioneer Museum, Village of Cloyne, Village of Northbrook, Tennis court, golf, Beer Store, Liquor Store, propane refills, BMO, post office, restaurants, marina, boat rentals, and more!
  • Our stay at Dave’s place was very peaceful and restorative. We made use of the provincial park that was 10 mins away and paddleboated down the Mazinaw lake to hike up the 100meter cliff that over looks Mazinaw lake. At night we enjoyed the wood burning fire place and the dark starry night. If your looking for a peaceful weekend I would recommend it.

  • Lovely cottage! A great place to relax. We enjoyed Marble Lake. The boat launch was right next door which was an added bonus.

  • We were looking for a nice cottage getaway with our 1.5 year old. Marble Lake was perfect. The lake was perfect - the first 30 feet are under a foot deep, making it the perfect place to hang out with a toddler. The sandy beach was lots of fun - don't forget a bucket and sand toys. There was one very dark bedroom that was perfect for a mapping toddler. We really enjoyed Bon Echo and the near by petting zoo.

  • David was a wonderful host. Very responsive. His cottage is a cozy little spot. Great for those who want to relax and for those who would like to use it as a home base to explore all that North Frontenac has to offer.

  • My husband and I spent a beautiful, peaceful Christmas at David's cabin. The snow made everything perfectly picturesque and absolutely quiet. So cozy by the wood stove! Highly recommended to anyone who needs to get away from it all.

  • Comfy warm space with excellent lake access. Lots of space, areas to sit and relax. Large windows provide great views and natural light. Well equipped kitchen. Wood burning fireplace with great supply of wood.

  • Wonderful cottage on a quiet lake. Large indoor space with very well supplied kitchen and plenty of hot water. Large 2 sided deck so there is always sun/shade. Great gas BBQ so you can get your grill on. Plenty of windows for light. Comfortable beds and couches and chairs. Ceiling fans and floor fan for hot days and heaters for cooler days. Fantastic cast iron fire place inside and large fire pit outside with plenty of dry, seasoned wood and kindling. Host is only a call away. Communication is quick, efficient and a pleasure. Everything you could ask for in a cottage -- slow strolls along the quiet road, gentle paddling on the lake and amazing star gazing at night. Highly recommend a stay here. Relax, unwind and breathe.

  • We had a great time at David's cottage! The cottage was cozy and clean and had everything we needed for our stay (including a few board games that saved us on the one rainy day). There is no cell reception, but that was exactly what my husband and I were looking for - a great chance to unplug for a few days. We had a lot of fun exploring the surrounding area, and swimming in the lake. David was a great host, he was very helpful and responsive to questions.
