Runners, walkers, and cyclists can step out of the front door and easily hit the streets of the historic Garden District or stretch your legs a little further to access the popular City Park and its lakes.

The Blue Heron Guest House is a great place to just get away, enjoy nature, canoe (provided), fish the pond or the bayou, birdwatching (lots of birds), etc. The property does have a boat slip and a small boat launch for those who want to explore the area by boat.
