The Markthaus is a historic gem and is listed as the first hostel in Saxon Switzerland. The house frames the market square in the mirror image of the market church below the castle ruin on the romantic painter's path. Vaulted cellars and foundation walls date to 1527. The main house was built in 1734 and operated as a relaxation, post office and tavern. In 1850 a massive cultivation in the Classicist style took place. Our cozy apartment is just a few steps from the Elbe Cycle Path. Also for climbers and mountaineers the location is top. It is not for nothing that Pirna is called 'The Gate to Saxon Switzerland' :) Prices - 10 euros extra bed per day (cot) - 5 euro extra charge for small animals per day - 8 Euro breakfast p.p./p.T.
