A lovely self-contained apartment with sunlit rooms decorated with easy elegance for relaxing and taking in the view. An easy 10 minutes walk to beach, cafes, restaurants and stunning bush walks. Public transport can deliver you and delivered-to-the-door public transport. Whilst being situated in a secluded spot away from the hustle bustle, public transport can now deliver you directly to our door. Guests have separate entrance to their apartment. You will occasionally cross paths on the driveway with hosts, Emily and David- happy help you with any queries should you have them, but of the general understanding that you need to just get on with the business of having a holiday. Guests are always greeted on arrival, with a bottle of wine and a welcome selection of appetisers and breakfasts to start your holiday off on the right foot. Happy to assist if you are dairy and/or gluten free. We have an excellent, well-equipped kitchen for longer stays and are happy to point you in the right direction for local specialty fare. As is the case for many spots with great views, access is via a short but steep driveway. Parking is safe and always available. Due to enquiries, we now have an extremely comfortable queen sofa bed which is very easy to return to a sofa during the day. Pictures still being updated. Please contact for more details. Wifi is available, as is a bookshelf with books, board games and DVDs which can be played on the large television. You have your own clothesline, and hose to wash off sand after a swim. The sunny outside table is great for sunset drinks or dinner. Relax at home, or spend the day exploring this beautiful area- see online guidebook or booklet compiled with all the great things to do here. We are happy to interact where needed. If needed, contact for anything is initially via text. We are extremely respectful of privacy. Stroll to Whale Beach for a swim or exercise, bushwalk along some of the coast’s most dramatic scenery; take in the view from the lighthouse above Palm Beach or just retreat to your secluded hideaway to cook up a storm and take in the view. This delightful part of the world is just a walk from Avalon village, or you can choose to have supplies delivered. You can come here by public transport easily - only 10 minutes walk from the L90 bus stop. If you drive, please park opposite on the street outside (the driveway is quite steep and needs practice!). It is easy to arrive by public transport bus, the L90 and E88, which are about ten minutes walk uphill, alternately we can arrange to give you a lift from here if the timing is arranged beforehand. There are also excellent airport shuttle bus services that will take you straight to our door from the airport. We are walking distance to Moby Dicks for weddings and a very short drive to Jonah's. Keep an eye on our whalebeachescape social media page for our regular special deals. Young/small families welcome: we have a portacot, toys, books and dvds for your young ones :) If you wish to bring your baby/child, as we've found many happily have, we ask you to please "baby-proof" the space on arrival- you are far better at knowing what your little one can get up than us :) We are happy to provide a portacot if needed, but ask that you supply your baby's familiar bedding :) We advertise "5 beds" because small families with a child have enquired about this with reasonable regularity. We can supply a trundle bed which is made up and fits under the queen bed. We charge an extra $30 per person. The sofa bed is a new addition which can have an extra 2 people. Please note, the trundle bed needs to be set up in the bedroom or sitting room. You need to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom, so it is not for everyone, but it probably makes a place with a view and walking access to the beach better value.

Walk to Newport Beach from a Warm Studio
Newport Beach on Sydney's Northern Beaches is fast becoming an exclusive holiday destination for Australian and International holiday-makers alike. Not only is it famous for its many popular surfing breaks including Newport Peak and reef, it is also ideal for swimming, being patrolled by lifeguards over the summer months from October through to April. The iconic Newport Hotel is a short 10 minute walk from the home and other quality eateries are even closer, located in Newport Village. The Village also offers a wide variety of shopping from large supermarkets to boutique stores. Palm Beach, or Summer Bay as it's known on "Home and Away", is 15 minutes further north by car. If night life or a faster pace is more your style then Manly is less than half an hour by car, travelling South. From here the Manly ferry can take you across Sydney Harbour to the CBD for a day of sightseeing. The beach is less than 5 minutes down one end of the road and should you chose to explore the other end of the road, you'll find the historic Bungan Castle, built in 1919. Majestically perched on the headland overlooking Bungan Beach, every stone of this castle was brought over by its German owner and it is now heritage listed. A magical summer awaits at Myola Beach Studio, we look forward to welcoming you. Guests will have private access to the studio on level ground, friendly for disabled or the elderly. Owners are onsite in the main residence if needed. The apartment is steps away from the shores of Newport Beach and a short drive from Bungan Beach. It’s positioned in what’s known as the Golden Triangle, where one can find an array of shopping and dining options.

Your guide to Palm Beach

Welcome to Palm Beach

Occupying a peninsula at Sydney’s northern tip, Palm Beach, or “Palmy,” stretches for 2.3 kilometres — and its golden beach doubles as the setting for a certain long-running TV soap that launched the careers of some renowned Aussie actors. Fringed by some of Sydney’s swankiest real estate, the southern end of the beach is the safest and most popular swimming spot, complete with a sparkling 50-metre ocean pool. At the northern end, a historic lighthouse sits atop Barrenjoey Head, which rises 100 metres above the cerulean sea. On the western side of the peninsular lies the wide, tidal estuary of Pittwater, a haven for boaters.

While Palm Beach is primarily a residential suburb, there are several cafes and restaurants dotted along the main road that curls around the peninsula from Pittwater to Palmy’s surf beach.

The best time to stay in a holiday rental in Palm Beach

Palm Beach is at its busiest during the balmy summer months. Visit outside school holidays and summer weekends for ease of parking, and for more space to spread out on the sand. Like most beaches on the Northern Beaches peninsula, Palm Beach is patrolled by lifeguards from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from September until the end of April. There are also lifeguards stationed at North Palm Beach on weekends. While some locals swim year-round, the water becomes too chilly for most in April before warming up again in November. Visitor numbers dwindle during the winter months; however, this can be a nice time to wander up to Barrenjoey Lighthouse, the perfect vantage point to spot migrating whales.

Top things to do in Palm Beach

Barrenjoey Lighthouse

Part of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, Barrenjoey Head’s iconic lighthouse was built in 1881 from locally quarried sandstone. It’s an easy one-kilometre walk uphill from the Governor Phillip car park, or you can scramble up the shorter Smugglers Track. Guided lighthouse tours are available on Sundays, but the panorama of the peninsula is worth the walk any day of the week.

Pittwater

Technically a drowned valley estuary, Pittwater is sandwiched between the West Head precinct of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park to the west and the Palm Beach peninsula to the east. A regular ferry service connects Palm Beach with West Head; alight at the Basin Wharf to hike to an ancient Aboriginal art site. You can also explore Pittwater on a boat tour, or by stand-up paddleboard or kayak, with paddle craft rentals available in Clareville and at Bayswater, southwest of Palm Beach.

Patonga

Get a taste of the Central Coast without hitting the road by taking a 30-minute ferry ride from Palm Beach to Patonga Beach. The ferry makes half a dozen return journeys on weekends, and one return trip during the week. Surrounded by Brisbane Water National Park, Patonga is a scenic spot to laze on the beach, enjoy a long waterfront lunch, or go for a hike.
