  • A fun getaway place. We felt rested and relaxed after two carefree days at the Black A-Frame. Clean and comfortable. We loved the new heated chairs on the deck...perfect for late night drinks and star gazing.

  • House and amenities were exactly as described! We loved being cozy by the fire and cooking. Bed was super comfortable. Jeremy responded to our messages (before and during stay) lightning fast. Really couldn’t ask for anything more.

  • A beautiful A-Frame Cabin in the woods that was exactly as depicted in the pictures on AirbnB and Instagram. Stunning natural light through the windows, a lovely fireplace. This is the place to decompress, chill and enjoy time together. We had a lovely weekend away! A few helpful pieces of feedback for fellow travelers: - I was impressed by how clean the place was, particularly bathrooms & kitchen (by far the cleanest I've seen an AirBnb) - The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots & pans, dinnerware etc. Only thing missing was supplies such as aluminum foil or plastic wrap etc (no biggie) - Water - as the cabin is on a well/septic system you can't drink the tap water and when we arrived there was only a small amount of drinking water left in the Brita system in the fridge. The spring water tap isn't a far drive and was easy to access but we definitely wish we had been made aware to get some before arrival and/or that the Brita was full. - Clean and comfy beds & bedding - such a treat! - Fireplace was lovely and such a central point of our evenings with firewood supplied. - As the place is booked continuously, we had the cleaning company knocking on the door at 12:00pm sharp on our checkout day. We were a bit surprised by the promptness right at noon and having people appear before we left, but as checkout is noon we were packing up our bags to leave anyways as we should. I would definitely recommend the cabin for anyone looking to escape the city! Thank you Jeremy!

WE HAVE WI-FI! IF YOU'RE GOING TO SHUT IN, WHY NOT DO IT IN NATURE AND AWAY FROM CROWDS? Sleep staring at stars in wine country! Just 90 mins from NYC, but a world away. 30 acres of rolling hills give total privacy & isolation as glass walls open up onto endless views of vineyards, orchards, & wildlife. Modern comforts (WiFi, A/C, loaded kitchen) mean you don't have to give anything up. (Please click the button below to expand & read full listing BEFORE booking! You'll see why I ask at end!)
Hi! If you're thinking of booking, please message me BEFORE putting a booking request in to confirm, and also please read the entire listing to the end as it likely answers any questions you may have... Welcome to The Glass House. Come see what the press called "The World's Most Beautiful Tiny House" and The Today Show called an "off-grid oasis." Sleep staring at the stars and feel the stress melt away in this glass-enclosed tiny house (just 180 square feet!) retreat, just 90 minutes from NYC, but a world's away. This is a truly special place, and most people find it surprising that it can exist so close to New York. With all sorts of wildlife coming within inches of the house (don't be surprised if you see coyotes, families of deer, and every type of bird you could imagine--not to mention more butterflies than you've ever seen, depending on the season), this is a truly immersive experience into nature. But despite its small size and isolated location, it is surprisingly luxurious on the inside. The listing includes: -A 180 square-foot glass-enclosed tiny house, offering spectacular 360-degree views of the Hudson Valley and surrounding vineyards and apple orchards -Lots of privacy on a 30-acre farm, featuring a modest lavender field! (Super special/rare for the region) -Outdoor dining and lounging furniture, along with access to a fire pit that you can definitely grill on. -A plush queen-sized bed with a super-comfy memory foam mattress and insanely comfortable pillows -A dining table with two chairs for sitting and eating and/or working. -A modern stainless-steel kitchen with a mini-fridge, induction cooktop for cooking, microwave, and electric kettle. Despite the small size, it has just about everything but a range oven. -Wi-Fi for keeping in touch with the real world and streaming shows on your personal devices. Also note that while the house is tiny and has a maximum occupancy of two people, I am sometimes able to accommodate larger parties for those bringing tents and willing to camp outside. Please inquire about pricing for such scenarios. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Q: Can I get to the house without a car? A: The house is about 20-minutes driving from the Beacon Metro-North train station (about 90 minutes from Grand Central). If you choose not to drive the whole way there are Zipcar pickups at the train station (reserve in advance!) and Uber JUST launched in the area (roughly $20 for the ride from the train). A car is highly recommended (especially if you want to explore the area), but this definitely makes things possible for the car-free—just be sure to show up with everything you need for the stay as the farm is in a rural area that is not particularly walkable. Q: Do I need to bring towels or linens? What about a hairdryer? A: Nope! I provide all these things. Same with basic toiletries (unless I happen to be out, which is very rare). Q: Is this house really off the grid? A: Yep! It features solar panels for power, a propane HVAC system for heating and air-conditioning, and a unique dry-flush toilet (more on that in the "Other Things To Note" section below). One exception: You absolutely have working Wi-Fi. Q: How will I receive the key? A: The house features a keyless entry system with a code that lasts as long as your stay. This allows for effortless check-in and entry. Q: Is the place professionally cleaned between guests? A: Yes, and I take pride in providing a clean home for guests. Take a look at my reviews—I think you'll find my guests agree! Q: What's up with the cleaning fee? A: I get a lot of questions about this, so I'll just break it down so you understand why it is what it is: All but $10 of that goes directly to my cleaner. She is a professional who does a great job and who I insist on compensating fairly for her work. The dry-flush toilet cartridges cost me about $20 apiece, so the remaining $10 lets me split that cost with guests. (Of course, if you happen to use more than one cartridge, I cover that cost alone). Q: What's my total booking price? A: I honestly have no idea. With fees included, Airbnb only shows the guest, and not the host, the total cost. This figure should be present after you enter your dates. Note that, pricing varies on a daily basis, and Airbnb actually uses some crazy algorithm to adjust it automatically, so I don't actually control this. Q: I am looking for a last-minute stay. Can I make a same-day booking? A: If you're looking for a same-day booking and the place is free, please inquire and I'll try! It depends on whether my cleaning crew can spring into action at the last-minute, which isn't a sure thing. Check-in may also have to be later than the listed time in order to make sure the place is ready. Still, can't hurt to ask. Q: I know it says "No Animals". Can I bring my small/well-behaved dog? A: I love dogs, but there is a farm dog who gets very nervous when other dogs are around, and so we can not allow animals. This is also for your dog's safety, as there are coyotes in the area. Basically: Please don't try to sneak one in--this really doesn't end well. Q: I'm a blogger/YouTuber/influencer. Can I stay for free? A: No. NEW: There's now a second tiny house at the farm. If you have a larger group and are looking to rent both (the new one can hold three people), definitely inquire. ONE LAST THING:I really, really appreciate that you followed directions and read the whole thing. Please put the phrase "Don't throw rocks at glass houses!!" at the top of your message so I know you did so as such bookings tend to go so much smoother! And thanks for hanging in there!
The Glass House is situated on a 30-acre farm in the rolling hills of the Hudson Valley. Guests have total privacy, but are joined on the farm by the main farm house, a smaller residence with live-in caretakers that can help out in case of an emergency, and one other tiny house. Around the farm are views of rolling vineyards and apple orchards—many of which are absolutely worth a visit. Downtown Marlboro is minutes away and has a few nightlife and dining options, and the hopping town of Beacon (home of the Dia; Beacon) is about 20 minutes away. Storm King Art Center (a must) is also about 25 minutes away. Also near: New Paltz, Cold Spring Poughkeepsie, and countless other Hudson Valley gems. While it is far easier to reach the Glass House by car, guests can also take the Metro-North train to Beacon, and then take a taxi or Uber (20-minute ride). As this is a rural area, it is not walkable and guests who arrive without a car should arrive with all the supplies they will need for their stay. UPDATE: Uber recently launched in the area, which makes things MUCH easier for the car-less. It should cost you around $20-$30 to ride from the Beacon train station. A car is still recommended and you'll still want to arrive with all the supplies you need, but the train is now a definitely real option.
  • Staying in Seth's tiny house was truly a unique experience! The house is very clean and stylish, as well as highly functional. We were able to cook a full meal with all the kitchen amenities. Seth also provides a number of activities of the stay, including games, a puzzle, and books. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay at the tiny house and would definitely stay here again.

  • A cozy and intimate atmosphere. A relaxing environment to enjoy time to yourself or with a friend/partner. Amenities are well kept and clean. The layout of the home creates a spacious environment while still giving the experience of downsizing. Nice view at night of the moon and stars.

  • Amazing!! My best friend and I decided to take a spontaneous trip somewhere upstate and stumbled across this cute little house on Air BNB. Not only did Seth respond to us in a timely manner, he was attentive off us throughout our stay there. Checking in was super easy (which was amazing since we got there around 12:30AM) and checking out too. If you’re considering staying here DO IT! You won’t regret it. I just wish we had more time. We’ll definitely be back!

  • Amazing stay! Would recommend to anyone. That's it!

  • We've had an amazing stay at the tiny house! It's super cute, the big glass windows make it amazing during both day and night. Seth was a very attentive host, super helpful and quick to respond. The local tips provided in his manual were very useful. Highly recommend!

  • This tiny home is AMAZING! My wife and I spent the night here and loved that secluded, back to nature feeling. It makes your realize what you take for granted in a typical home. Seth has created a special place in this tiny home. Go check it out!

  • The tiny glass house is such a delight - so much that this is our second time back! Seth is as always, a consummate and attentive host. I also happen to know him personally and he responds to his Airbnb messages faster than text or email (it's that much of a priority to him and I think he puts it on a special alert)

    David2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This tiny glass house is a little slice of heaven. Don’t miss the opportunity to reset, relax, and unwind with this unique and beautiful hone!

“Please note that nightly prices vary by season , and day of the week” 2 night minimum 3 night minimum June and during big holidays 4 nights minimum July 1st - September7th Mission House https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/3842873
**The house consists of 4 pods as is in the Bali tradition and there they are connected by walkways , all off which we have enclosed to protect from the elements. However the halls being not heated / insulated so walking from the bedroom to the kitchen/ dining in the inter you might feel cold. Our family & many renters are totally ok with this but please consider it for yourself:)** Enveloped by 7.5 acres of woodland, private pond and grassy pasture,it will lull you into its haven. It's the perfect marriage of the organic materials , handmade craftsmanship and the location that set you up in the peaceful state of mind when you spend some time here. After few hours here your body clock settles into a restful pace. I'm still not sure wether it is the memories of vacations in Bali or Thailand that get waken up while I'm here or the serene location or maybe there are some magnetic fields deep under ground, but I tell you, I sleep better here than anywhere else. Comfort, serenity & feelings of well being radiate in this place...Of course the super fast internet, Apple TV, 55" HDTV, luxurious bathtub next to the fireplace, the chefs kitchen : You should find in the kitchen most everything you could possibly need to create memorable meals. The pond is spring fed ( go for a swim ) , there is place for all your vehicles , your mobile phones will work just fine . With imported materials from Indonesia, it was built by hand by the inhabitants of Bali. I think we have covered everything but if you are our guest or just browsing and see something missing or think it can be improved , please let us know...Piotr and Kay. Don't forget the farm stands and swimming holes and Lake Minnewaska. The premises are equipped with exterior security cameras. Cameras are not monitored for guest safety in any way and should not be relied on by guests for personal security or security of their belongings. Cameras may be used to enforce and verify compliance with rental policies. Any damage caused to cameras by guest may result in a partial or complete loss of security deposit funds.
Please respect our home and our neighbors, The Bali House is a quiet sanctuary, if you are planning to party, carry on loud gatherings or any other excessive noise activities, this is not the house for it. Hiking, fishing, rock climbing, antiquing or getting pampered at Mohonk Mountain House Spa. The house is located in the middle of a completely private lot, you drive down a tree lined road and then turn into a 1000' driveway further lined with mature trees & lawns. The property is a home to abundance of bird species and you'll hear them singing as you drive in.
  • Truly such a lovely space. Absolutely what we were looking for in a weekend getaway retreat from the city. Calm, serene, and magical in every way. The layout of the house is so well thought out, and you can tell there has been a lot of love and attention to detail put into making the space a real home. So nostalgic to my time spent in Ubud in Bali as well - as if I was still there! The proximity to local hiking trails and restaurants was a welcomed bonus as well! Would highly recommend, and will most certainly be making future plans to stay here again!

  • A woodland sanctuary. Absolutely stunning and peaceful place to stay with an incredibly unique design and atmosphere. Owners are also wonderful and quick responders. Thank you so much for our stay!

  • Absolutely amazing. Cleanliness: Great. Everything was clean and organized. But what I really loved was that they provided extra supply so that we can help keep it clean! Some places just offer the bareboned accessories but wont leave any supplies to clean, which ends up in a much bigger mess. Thoughtfulness: They left a nice gift as a surprise for us when we arrived. We really appreciated that. Amazing location. Beautiful house. We came in the winter and everything was appropriately warmed. It was a nice quiet NYE indoors, with a working fireplace and a jacuzzi. Answered very promptly every time a question came up. Very reliable. Would absolutely recommend this place!

    Ana2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very unique home in a beautiful, quiet setting. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire place! The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook big meals and there was lots of space for our group of 8. Piotr and Kay were very easy to get in touch with. We enjoyed the stay very much!

    Lorena2019-12-29T00:00:00Z

Starting April 2nd, we're looking for guests who can stay for at least a month or more. The house now has wifi. Michelle and I's house shares 5-acres with the tiny house, so it's a beautiful and secluded setting. Nearby: Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Preserve, & Rail Trails. Any weekend or short-term instant bookings for April & May will most likely be cancelled to accommodate a long term guest. We wish everyone safety and love during these times. Reach out for pricing.
With our goal of healthy living, the house is equipped with an organic king mattress (yes! king bed in a tiny house!), organic sheets, and organic pillows. The couch futon is also organic wool with natural latex. No off-gassing materials in the home. All the cabinetry and woodworking is custom--we hope you'll enjoy the love that was put into our first home. We're so excited to add that the tiny house is now solar-powered! Thank you to all our guests for staying with us and supporting our family and homestead!
Tranquil and quiet 5-acre setting with 250 ft of Wallkill River frontage. Luckily situated on a river bend.
  • My boyfriend and I absolutely enjoyed our stay! The tiny house is super cozy and has just about everything we needed for a nice weekend away. The location is great; a quick drive from New Paltz and near some great hiking spots.

  • I went up to T’s space for a short trip with my partner and our pup. It was such a great getaway. The Yurt is very cool, very warm, very cozy. We loved it. Our pup had a great time running around and exploring with the other dogs on the farm. We also spent some time with the farm animals and hanging out in the hot tub. It was as private as we needed and I appreciated how open and communicative T was. Thanks for a great trip!

  • The farm is a truly special place and our stay at the yurt was absolutely lovely, especially right after the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Tim was a most gracious host, along with all of his animal counterparts and Cal (one of the pups on the farm) was great company during our stay! There's lots to explore right on the farm, as well as a bunch of great hikes nearby and New Paltz is a quick ride away for some delicious bites and beers! Can't wait to head back!

    Stephanie2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt is magical.

  • An absolutely peaceful and beautiful place to visit. Just a wonderful accommodation, wonderful hosts, and farm animals! I have visited before and am genuinely sad each time I leave to head back to the city. Staying here really gives you such an appreciation for nature and the stars! You can't see a third as many stars in NYC. Such a blissful place. I can't wait to visit again.

This is an old, renovated milk barn on a working farm. Both of the sleeping spaces are lofts that require climbing stabilized, vertical wooden ladders. There is a wood stove, running water, kitchen, living room & bathroom.
The space was originally lined with stainless steel & was a walk-in cooler for milk storage when there was a dairy farm on the land in the 40s. It was renovated by master carpenter, David Raponi, who lived here for 7 years and suffused the space with various quirks of comfort and creativity. It has a wood stove and we prepare the fires for our guests if requested. It is fully insulated & the original vaulted ceiling is intact. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, sink, and composting toilet similar to an outhouse.
This is a rural neighborhood. The property is adjacent to the Mohonk Preserve & the trails are within walking distance to our land. Minnewaska State Park is 7 miles away. We are 8 miles from the college town of New Paltz and 3 miles to the village of High Falls. There are many restaurants, antique shops & other interesting shops in the area.
  • The place was very cozy and cute, like a tiny place. Perfect peaceful and romantic escape for my partner and I. Lots of great hiking and geocaching nearby. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend for adventurous and outdoorsy people!

    Madison2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • The milk barn is a very cool building on a unique and secluded eco-friendly property 5 minutes outside of New Paltz. We enjoyed exploring the property, relaxing by the wood-burning stove, and talking with Toby, as well as other guests staying elsewhere on the property. It was a great community to be a part of, if only for a brief time. Cell phone reception was spotty, which was appreciated given the goal of our getaway. We would certainly stay again.

  • As a New York City native, I found that this beautiful gem gave us so much more than we expected to get out of the trip. The barn fits perfectly for two people looking to get away from the city or share moments of intimacy. We brought some little personal touches such as string lights - which I recommend to future guests for romance - but all of Rio's other touches really gave off good vibrations. Quaint, cozy, romantic, tender. Something else to appreciate is how environmentally friendly this barn was. It will be different from what many people are used to, but it truly adds to the charm. The composting toilet was an interesting experience, especially. There is a good amount of space outside for people to wander off, and I imagine it is more beautiful during the summer, where people can have bbq's. Great location close to a couple of hiking destinations, which one of the reasons we took this little trip. New Paltz isn't far either, and it is a cute little town worth visiting. I highly recommend this place. It's affordable, beautiful, and unique. <3

  • We had a fantastic three night stay at the Milk Barn. So nice to escape from the city for a unique relaxing experience and with our large dog in tow. The mattress was comfortable, the composting toilet is a breeze, and lighting a fire each night added to the ambiance and fun. The ladder up to the larger bed is a little awkward, but is doable. Recommended items to bring: house slippers, wipes for dogs feet. Thank you to Rio and Toby - we'll be back!

  • We had a lovely stay in the milk barn, so cozy and charming. A unique stay for anyone looking to unplug and relax. Would love to come back in the summer.

    Cheryl2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • I brought my large dog here for a mini mid-winter getaway, and we couldn’t have had a better stay! Rio and Toby were beyond accommodating, friendly, and communicative. The little milk barn was even cozier than I’d imagined, and we spent most of our time between there and roaming their beautiful grounds, just as striking in the rainier weather as in the sunshine. There are some permanent neighbors on the same property in other converted barn spaces, but you still have all the privacy you need. There were plenty of lovely little towns within very short driving distance in which to grab a bite to eat, as well as gorgeous scenery and tons of nearby trails for hiking and other outdoorsy activities. However, for our purposes of laying low and unwinding, it was perfect :)

  • This place was absolutely wonderful!! We came here to get away from NYC for an evening and escape to the countryside and nature - This place was perfect for that! We found the barn incredibly romantic and had a lovely evening there - quiet and super cozy with the wood stove. The place is really close to tons of trails, so we were able to hike in the evening and again in the morning. Rio and Toby were also super hospitable! Brought us wood and helped us light the fire, shared lots of details about the MilkBarn itself as well as cool things to do in High Falls. My partner and I adored this place and will definitely be back!! ☺️

  • This location is lovelier than I could have imagined. Clean, quiet, the perfect size, and unique with thoughtful details in its design. The hosts were great. They greeted us when we got there, checked in to see if we needed anything and answered all our questions. They also showed us how we could easily create a fire in the wood stove which kept us warm and toasty. I hope to be back soon! It is perfect for a romantic getaway! 10/10

This renovated 1970s home makes a perfect HQ for exploring the Catskills and Hudson Valley. The home has all the modern touches you need (Ecobee thermostat, Apple TV, Sprout Bluetooth stereo, etc.), but the goal of the renovation was to shift the focus to the beauty that surrounds it. You will be greeted by a wall of windows which shine a flood of picturesque light into the large main living space. The serene back deck is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or evening cocktail. The property is surrounded by four wooded acres and you can easily walk to a year-round stream and there's easy access to hiking, cross-country skiing, and more outdoor activities at Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Mountain Preserve and Vernooy Kills, all under 15 minutes away. We also want your furry friends to be happy, so dog beds and bowls are available upon request (note: there is a $50 charge per pet/per stay to help keep this clean!)
Kerhonkson is a small hamlet located near Accord, tucked into the Rondout Valley between the Catskills and the Shawangunk Ridge. The property is near to Mohonk Minnewaska Mountains--perfect for hikes and climbing--as well as the Kerhonkson Rail Trail. It's also located minutes from some of our favorite local places like Westwind Orchard, Arrowood Brewery's tasting room, Saunderskill Farms, Ravenwood, and more!
  • What a little slice of heaven! We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Megan!

  • We had a beautiful and restful stay at Megan and Robert’s place. Perfect for an escape from the city — gorgeous location, a big lovely kitchen for cooking, a cozy layout. Megan and Robert were excellent communicators and hosts and we couldn’t have been happier with our trip. We will be back very soon!

    Anne2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Megan and Robert's place was amazing! It was tucked away in nature and with a lot of great hikes and restaurants close by. The space was modern, clean and cozy and instantly relaxed us. It was the perfect location for a weekend away to recharge and be inspired.

    Michelle2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Meghan and Robert were a great help letting us know the many different things to do outdoors. They suggested some really cool local restaurants!

    Nicole2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • After a phenomenal stay at the hosts’ other property, Cabin 14, back in October, my family and I were so torn on whether to stay there again or try Cabin 8. Ultimately you won’t go wrong with either but I’m so happy we tried Cabin 14! The space is so bright that my rescue chihuahuas loved sunbathing in the main room—even in February. The fireplace was so cozy and the kitchen layout made cooking a joy. We used the hosts’ recommendation for hikes and took the dogs down to the property creek. Everyone felt at home and relaxed immediately. We hope to stay here again many times!

    Ivy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We are New Yorkers and have stayed in many an Airbnb upstate, and I can honestly say that this place was one of the best. It's a peaceful, stylish, and cozy spot and we had everything we needed to escape from the stress of city life. We will definitely return.

    Catherine2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Megan and Robert’s place was even better than the photos- we didn’t want to leave! We made several meals during our stay and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The house was sparkling clean and stocked with plenty of towels, pillows, and blankets. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful, sunny, 60 degree day to soak in the light coming from all the windows. I highly recommend Megan and Robert’s place for a getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

  • Tori was very great host and she provided nice touches to make us feel welcome. Thanks again!

    Sean2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Tori was an incredibly kind, attentive and thoughtful host. The Cottage was clean, tidy and very quant. The view of Orange Lake is beautiful, the nearby restaurant had wonderful service and food. If you are looking for the perfect little cottage for a weekend getaway, look no further. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return!

    Howard2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Tori was a fantastic host. She was super communicative, and the cottage was so lovely. We really enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommended!

    Barrie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Tori is the ideal host. She met with us when we checked in. We were able to contact her when we had questions. The rooms were clean and warm. The master room has a view of the sunrise I believe and the smaller bedroom has a beautiful view of the lake and the sunset. There are many little surprises in her home like the sunset time in the kitchen. She also gave us wine and sparking water (that we loved so much we went out and bought more). We are planning to come back to this same Airbnb in the spring if she lets us. Loved it here! Thank you Tori

    Ashley2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Tori is super sweet and the first thing we did when we met was hug each other, she seem to be very understand. The cottage was everything we expected from the cottage house to the actual town. We had our two little girls and the place was perfect even for them. We went to a local farm house where they pet some animals and everyone in the town was super excited and nice to meet others. Can’t wait to stay again. Thanks tori you deserve more than 5 stars.

    Jesica2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • What an awesome little cottage! Tori’s place is right next to a lovely restaurant with a nice view of Orange Lake

    Nich2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Tori's place is adorable with very cute touches. She even left a packed picnic bag (it was too cold outside for us to use), umbrella, hat, and blankets in the mudroom for us to use if needed. She had a full kitchen for us, and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Only criticism we have is that the walls of the house is a little bit on the thinner side- we can see the headlights from the cars of the guests arriving and leaving the restaurant, and we can also hear them...but only from the living room! Thanks for the lovely weekend getaway!

    Audrey2019-11-24T00:00:00Z

This spot is truly one of a kind. Enjoy stunning sunsets on the lake from the enclosed porch, just 10 feet from the lake. Just renovated, small from the outside, spacious, brand-new and bright inside, with a "Cook's Kitchen". The natural beauty of the lake, creek, and woods, with the cozy modern feel, make this the perfect place to relax, play, regenerate and enjoy. An ideal getaway. See below "Other things to note" for cleaning, health & safety measures.
This is a classic 1930's lake cottage, given a new life for 2020. It's been redesigned and renovated (in 2019) to create a bright, contemporary feel. It has brand new heating, plumbing, and A/C systems for comfort and security and yet keeps its character with hints of the original style and structure left behind - an homage to it's past. Inside features a full-sized stove, oven, dishwasher and lots of space for dining, watching the 60" 4k TV, and cuddling in front of the fireplace. Outside you can take in amazing views as you sit by the fire pit or on the wrapped porch, at the edge of Orange Lake, at the head of Bushfield Creek. A truly rare and beautiful spot.
This is a little-known, completely private Lake Community just 3 minutes from civilization - 61 minutes from the George Washington Bridge. No need to go for hours and days to get away.
  • Great place for a weekend getaway, great location right on the lake. Everything was very clean and Thomas is a wonderful host, would definitely come back.

Wake up to views of the Hudson River, and then have coffee on the balcony while enjoying the view. Take a stroll by the river, or head to Jones Farm - where you can see the free roaming chickens while eating brunch and picking up a pie or fresh apple cider donuts. A perfect home base for exploring the Hudson Valley. Take in the arts at Dia Beacon and Storm King art center. Go kayaking to Bannerman Island. Or if you want some retail therapy, check out the world famous Woodbury Common outlets.
This is a private apartment with its own entrance, in a two family house.
We are very close to the Hudson River. There are many fine restaurants in the area some have beautiful views of the Hudson and the rolling hills . We are fortunate because many of our restaurants are staffed by chefs that are culinary institute graduates ,the CIA is located not far from here. You will be able to walk the Newburgh Beacon bridge from the house or take a lovely jog down the road.

The Happy Little Lake House, located just 50 miles north of Manhattan, is the perfect four season getaway with easy access to the best of the Hudson Valley-Dia: Beacon, Storm King Art Center and every winery, brewery, restaurant, and hiking trail in between. The lakefront deck is the ideal place to enjoy your morning coffee, read, do yoga, fish, swim, kayak, BBQ, make smores, and our favorite - sit back with a glass of wine and watch the sunset transform the sky directly in front of your eyes.
This Happy Little Lake House was made with love. Hosting is at the core of our DNA so we trust you will find everything you need for a comfortable and memorable stay. Please enjoy our review from Brian Chesky, the CEO of Airbnb: "I have probably stayed in over 100 homes on Airbnb, and I can honestly say that Rachel's Happy House in Tribeca is one of the best experiences I have ever had. The reason is simple: she is an incredible host with hospitality in her DNA. She is a warm and generous person who commits all of her energy to making sure your space is special. When I arrived at her place, the refrigerator was stocked with the food I love, there (email hidden), a welcome guide and kit to the city, and the room was beautifully light with cool jazz music playing. It was incredible. I figured this was a special check-in she did for me since I work at Airbnb, but she said this is how she treats all of her guests. Rachel became more than just a host on Airbnb. She also became a friend who provided an insider's guide to Tribeca. This is not unique to me. She said that she keeps in touch with most of her previous guests, and this is evidenced by her full and glowing Guestbook. Her house is centrally located in Tribeca, and close to the Highline and the West Village. The studio is beautifully furnished, with a plush bed, wonderful lighting and color palatte, and immacutely kept up. While the house and location are amazing, the soul that rings through comes from a warm service with heart that is unique to Rachel, and the feeling of belonging you get when you stay with her." - Brian Chesky, CEO, Airbnb
Make sure to check out the Lake View House open for lunch and dinner. It's located right on the lake and is known for it's beautiful sunsets and delicious menu. Just outside of the lake you will find access to grocery stores, a movie theatre, local deli's and ice cream parlors. The lake house is just a short 10 - 20 min ride to Beacon, Newburgh and Cornwall on Hudson. Beacon, a charming old town with the famous DIA art museum, delicious restaurants, boutique shopping, bars and yoga studios. Newburgh has a beautiful waterfront promenade with it's own brewery, restaurants, bars, spa and shopping. Cornwall has the famous must see Storm King Art Center, the Hudson River landing with kayaking to Bannerman's Castle and hiking trails up Storm King Mountain.
  • The Happy Little Lake house is a tremendous oasis. Super clean, well maintained, great view and hosts that always make you feel at home. The Happy Little Lake house has become a big part of my families holiday season. We have returned for a second year in a row. I highly recommend this property. Dan

  • Amazing place! Super recommended.

  • “Happy Little Lake House” was perfection. We have never stayed in a more peaceful place. Much attention has been given to details. Rachel made sure that not only did you feel at home but that you genuinely felt welcome. This little house was clean and the beds were so comfortable. Everything was perfect, we could not ask for more. We’ve already spoken to friends and family who may also be interested in staying in the future! We felt sad to say goodbye to this special little house. Yesterday we watched eight beautiful white swans glide across the surface of that beautiful lake. What a thrill to see them! This little house is truly a place that you can choose to get away from it all or....choose to explore the area. We chose to do both! The weather was cooperative and we had such a special visit with our grandaughter. Thank you Rachel for everything!

  • This cozy little lake house is the perfect place to relax with friends and loved ones! My girl friends and I (three of us total) booked our trip to Newburgh to see the beautiful fall colors, hike Storm King Mountain and take in the cultural scene of the Hudson Valley. Arriving at the lake cottage, we were delighted with the stylishness and cleanliness of the interior, the serene lake views and the many thoughtful touches (wood provided for the chiminea on the deck, snacks and a well-stocked bar, cozy throw blankets, a Sonos system for music...). The cottage is SPOTLESS and organized. The beds are SO comfortable, everything from the mattress to the bedding to the soothing colors made for a wonderful night's sleep. We decided to double up in the king sized bed, and another one of us took the queen-sized upstairs. We did not use the pull-out sofa bed, although that would probably have been fine too. Our host provided lots of great tips for places to eat and areas to hike - we went to Hudson Taco on her recommendation, and it was so good we went again the next day! We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to spend a few days.

    Jennette2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This little lake house exceeded our expectations. What a treat to wake up right on the water! I have stayed in a lot of Airbnbs and I have never seen one with so many amenities. There was no detail that wasn't thought of. The second bedroom is lovely but has a lower roof line so perhaps plan on putting the shorter person or kids up there. Newburgh and Beacon are close. Try Hudson Taco great view and food.

    Amy2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel is a perfect host and her lake house clearly reflects her sophisticated style, attention to fine detail, and her commitment to exceptional hospitality! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this serene and picturesque gem of a place. We will happily return here next time we are in the area!

30' Travel Trailer In Wallkill. Near Stewart Airport, New Paltz, Newburgh, and Rail Trail. Even though the space can sleep 9, it is a small space, small bathroom and is ideally suited for six. Front bedroom has accordion folding doors, with a Queen bed that sleeps two. Back bedroom has a curtain door, and sleeps 4: two on top bunks and two on the folding floor sofa. The living room sofa also opens to sleep two, and the dinette table drops to create an additional sleeping area.
We want to offer you an affordable, clean, and comfortable stay. Think of the space as a small hotel suite. It has a sitting area, and two separate sleeping areas. Arrival was super smooth, and the space included everything that we needed to make basic meals (bring your own Tupperware, foil, etc if you need to get deeper in to cooking/storage). In addition to great accommodations, we felt very safe here. We are lucky to be well acquainted with navigating RV accommodations, however George and Kelly were available immediately any time we had a question. We come to town regularly for military reserve duty, and plan on booking stays here any time we can. Thank you again!

  • This place is far beyond what I expected. Hospitality above and beyond all expectations.

  • The stay was awesome ! Would definitely recommend to others. Gorge was a great host and help with everything. The Airbnb had more than we expected and it was an enjoyable stay 🤩

  • This place went beyond our expectations! George was very responsive, extremely kind and hospitable. It was super clean and comfortable. Extremely spacious. Warm even when it was 17 degrees outside. We would highly recommend this place!

  • George and Kelly are great hosts. Communication couldn't be better. When we had an issue with water, all was resolved promptly! We will be booking again in the future. Truly love the area!

Stylishly renovated 1890 Rowhouse in Newburgh's up-and-coming Washington Heights District. Enjoy your morning coffee with views of the Hudson River and Mountains. Just 75 minutes from NYC, this home is a short drive to the Newburgh Waterfront and Liberty Street's hip new shops and restaurants such as Ms. Fairfax, The Flour Shop, Liberty Street Bistro, Mama Roux, The Newburgh Brewery, and more. Close proximity to the Beacon Ferry and a short drive to the Beacon train station.
The space is a cozy first floor apartment in this vintage modern home. This 19th century Rowhouse boasts many original details such as original restored wide plank floors, yet updated with modern charm. The street is quiet with Hudson River and Mountain Views and is just a short drive away from many tourists attractions such as Beacon, DIA Beacon, area hiking trails, kayaking, West Point (22 minutes), Storm King Art Center, Woodbury Common Outlets, and more. Newburgh is a beautiful, historic city that is in the midst of a Renaissance. Please read more about the area in the neighborhood section below. (Please note:A fenced in backyard with patio seating, a grill and lighting will be ready in 2020, but the front porch is available to enjoy your coffee outside to admire the views for now...) The entrance is shared with the upstairs apartment, but apartments are separate.
Newburgh is experiencing a Renaissance after many years of economic decline. The architectural details are gorgeous and the area is filled with history, as seen by George Washington’s Headquarters just down the street! There are new hip shops and restaurants in the immediate area with more coming in the next couple of years. While driving around town, it is noticeable that there are store fronts, buildings and homes undergoing renovation on nearly every block. Our renovated home is situated on a quiet street with families living in the surrounding homes. They are very nice and keep to themselves. There is a large mix of homes in the area that are renovated, homes undergoing renovations and houses that are still in quite rough condition that you will notice driving into town. Homes that are in rough condition could be alarming to some. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out! We will not accept cancellations upon arrival.

Sit at a quaint breakfast table in this sun-filled room featuring a robust stone fireplace, grainy wood-plank floors, and a country decor touches. Walk outside to admire the well manicured grounds of this enchanting stone-built home dating from 1772.
Our home is located just seven minutes from New Paltz and two minute from Gardiner. The property is on 60 acres of rural land that you are welcome to explore. The room includes a queen size bed, a pullout futon for an extra person, mini fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Enjoy your morning coffee on the large stone patio while listening to the roosters crow and birds singing. We raise around 250 egg layer chickens and meat chickens on the property. They Love treats from you. If you’d like they will take snacks right from your hand. The roosters are tame and friendly. The rail trail, where you can bring your bike and ride into New Paltz, is only a quarter of a mile away through our property then down a quiet country road. Our home is just minutes from Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Preserve, and the historic Mohonk Mountain House. The New Paltz area has some of the finest restaurants you can dine at. The Town of Gardiner is only two minutes down the road. There you will find Café Mio and a pizzeria for a quieter dining experience. Gardiner also has Yard Owl Brewery, Gardiner Brewing Company (this is my son and daughters newly opened farm brewery on our main farm property in our old dairy barn), The Gardiner Mercantile and Tuthilltown Spirits each of which are great places to stop in and have a drink. Wright's Farm (Our Farm) is also 1 mile south on 208 features homemade baked goods, local cheeses, pick your own apples in September and October, fruits and vegetables and fantastic flowers for sale.
Set on secluded grounds, this former stone home is situated on 80 acres of land with chickens as our neighbors. The Hamlet of Gardiner is a 5-minute drive away, and New Paltz is just a bit farther.
  • Wow! I booked a last minute trip for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday and this place made it extra special. The location and amenities are excellent and are as described. Tammy was in constant contact and assisted me with everything I needed. She showed so much compassion in allowing us to check out late during these uncertain times. Most of the restaurants in the town were take-out only due to covid-19, we were able to bring our breakfast back to the Airbnb and eat, before checking out. Thanks to the hospitality we received here we were able to celebrate a joyous occasion despite the current state of the world.

    Shruti2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and cozy spot, with everything you could need for a getaway! Highly recommended.

  • Very comfortable place to stay. Recommended.

    Daniel2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Where do I begin? This place far exceeded our expectations. Tammy our host was nothing short of hospitable and accommodating! We were greeted with a bottle of wine and fresh warm muffins. (Mmm) Everything was so spotless and oh so welcoming. Truly a home away from home. Just minutes away from town and everything New Paltz has to offer. Tammy was also very helpful in her suggestions of places to go and always very responsive. We cannot wait to plan another trip here. Thanks again and God bless!

    Matthew2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Place was beautiful. Had everything we to really make us feel comfortable. Decor all went well together. Really felt like home. Tammy & Mike we’re both super nice. Would definitely come back again.

    Steven2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This charming little farmhouse has so much character! It was warm and cozy with the fireplace and hot tub. Tammy and Mike have everything neat and labeled with clear instructions for your stay, it made everything a breeze! The bathroom and decor in the private room made it feel like a 5 star suite. The bed is comfy and the hosts provide extra blankets, pillows, coffee, and snacks. You will love this place!

    Moises2020-02-19T00:00:00Z

The room was cozy and comfortable. The room, front hall, and bathroom can get cold in the winter however, there are space heaters that work well. Overall, Toby’s farmhouse is great for two people trying to escape for the weekend!

This is a cozy room with private forest views and all the basic amenities (small kitchenette). We are located next to the entrance of Mount Beacon park (the free Loop Bus from the station drops you on our corner), a three-minute walk to the trail entrance, and a 25 minute walk to the train station and Main Street. The room is attached to the main house, but you have your own entrance with code access. We live in the main house, so we are here to answer questions or help with your stay.
Our kids ( 3 and 8 years old) are excited to become hosts too!. Please note the independent room is not fully sound-proofed. You might hear the occasional children's giggles or my husband's cello sounds.
We live in a quiet residential street next to the Mount Beacon Park. The land behind our house is forest. That makes our location quiet and peaceful. Lots of birds and other animals will be here to greet you as well. Save to walk to and from Main Street.
  • Perfect spot for a quick stop. Thanks!

  • My fiancée and I stayed overnight at Elisa’s guest suite during a weekend trip to Hudson valley to scope out some wedding venues. Given the self check in and separate entrance it was a super convenient option. Space itself was clean stylish and offered a few very useful amenities such as smart tv, coffee maker. There were more tools for preparing a small meal that we didn’t use but would’ve been great to try if our stay was longer. Overall great experience - thank you Elisa!

Tiny 650 sf cabin Within 15 miles of West Point and Woodbury Commons Beaver Dam Lake usage for fishing and boating. Many nearby hiking trails. Walking distance to NYC train station. Within 8 mile drive to Newburgh waterfront on Hudson River.
Everything about this cabin is small. This includes downstairs bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. It’s not a cream puff, but it has its own charm.
Rural development is good for walking, and biking. Small park on dead end road opposite cabin.

  • My friend and I enjoyed such a wonderful stay at this charming cabin, and we credit Lou's exceptional hospitality for much of our experience. As a host, Lou was incredibly responsive and did all within his power to ensure that we had a positive experience; he went above and beyond the call of host duty, even if it meant going out of his way! As for the cabin, the views and fresh air were incredible and the house was spotless and perfectly simple, just what we needed for a long weekend outside the city.

    Kimiko2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lou is such a nice host. He showed us the cabin very thoroughly when we arrived and prepared us a nice cabin with coffee, tea, clean towels and even toothbrushes and floss. The cabin is small, charming and cozy. The sun room was very bright and warm, perfect for having breakfast. Surrounded by beautiful scenery but not isolated, we felt very comfortable. We have all we need to enjoy a weekend getaway. Thanks Lou for sharing your home. We will definitively return in the future.

  • Lovely, clean, safe & conveniently located apartment at an incredibly good value! I stayed here alone as a single female, completely unfamiliar with the area & without an itinerary, & felt safe, at home & thoroughly entertained. The only drawback, as mentioned clearly in the listing, is the noise. The train & city sounds were no problem for me, but this is an old (stylishly renovated) home & thus, you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing. Be mindful!

Comes equipped with Cable TV [including HBO and Showtime] and a dedicated, secure Wifi Network for fast streaming on your devices. You have a private full kitchen stocked with many basic utensils, appliances, and coffee. It also features your own private bathroom stocked with individual toiletries. Fresh towels and bedding are ready when you begin your stay.
This newly renovated, former in-law suite is completely separate from our main house. Overnight guests who have used the space have boasted it's quiet, private, and makes for excellent longer stays with a full kitchen for all kinds of in-stay cooking.
We live on a quiet, dead end street in a family dense neighborhood, but we are centrally located to many Hudson Valley destinations. Staying here means you’re always about 10-25 minutes from amazing restaurants, museums, and outdoor attractions, but can sleep and rest in a quant home on a tranquil street. The room comes stocked with a binder of ideas for restaurants and activities!
  • The place was very cosy and quiet at night. Perfect little retreat for a good night sleep and a Winter/Spring time away. The bed was so comfy and the sheets were ultra soft. We hired a car so we would recommend doing the same if you're looking to get around town. Lisa also provided some light snacks and the kitchen was great to use. Would definitely stay again.

  • You can expect a very pleasant stay, their welcome book offers plenty of suggestions of places to check out a little helpful hints and places to enjoy. They're also very courteous and will not bother you unless you ask to speak to them I found this to be very relaxing place to be even if it was only for a short time, would definitely recommend to anyone needing a day too much longer a way to de-stress.

  • Amazing space, comfy bed, accommodations, and a good kitchen! Check in is easy, and so is checking out. This place is really close to beacon, about a 5 min drive to main st. This has been my second time staying here and it wont be my last :)

    Remi2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa's place was a clean, private, comfy, and quiet space to lay our heads. Her response time to our inquiries was quick. She reached out to welcome us and checked in to see that all was well. Check-in was convenient with a lockbox combination that Lisa sent us several days prior to our arrival. Check-out worked the same. Lisa has made good use of a small space, creating a working kitchen plus a full bath. The location is a bit further from the interstate than we would like, especially since our stay was a quick overnight on our way to Boston. However, it obviously was not a deterrent to our decision to stay, because this is not the first time we have been Lisa's guests. Additionally, the residential location added to the peaceful quiet which we appreciated.

Conveniently located in the Hudson Valley Wine and Orchard country. Twenty minutes from Beacon and New Paltz. Furnished with mid-century and 18th century period furniture and art work, yet with all the modern conveniences. Uber and Lift an easy five minutes away. The ancient forest contains many Stone Age rock shelters and calendar sites.

Cliff top retreat surrounded by old growth forest only seventy miles from Manhattan. This is truly a special place, with ancient Calendar sites, petroglyphs, burial mounds, rock shelters and caves, some of which date back over five thousand years. Undisturbed for centuries in the ancient forest, they can all be seen on guided hikes. Cliff Top itself, with its all encompassing views, was used as a gathering site for ancient peoples, as attested to the many fire pits found while digging the beds for the rose bushes along the cliff twenty years ago.
  • Mary and Dr. Ned are wonderful hosts and the view is even better than in the pictures. This place is perfect for people who love hiking, exploring small towns or wineries, or people who just want to sit on the porch and read in front of a breathtaking view. We 100% recommend going here. Dr. Ned is extremely knowledgeable on well, everything, and was really friendly to us as Mary made sure we had everything we needed before we got there and was great at communicating! Thank you both for the hospitality. We hope everyone enjoys their stay as much as we did :)

  • My experience with Mary and Dr. Ned at Turtle Rock was by far the most pleasurable of any Airbnb I have stayed at. They are beyond hospitable and the apartment and surrounding area are gorgeous. If you are a lover of history, art, and culture you will find so much here.

    Matthew2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. Mary provided exceptional hospitality and thoughtful amenities. Dr. Ned was superb- showed us around the landmarks of the area while sharing fascinating archeological and historical info. The Airbnb itself is perfectly cozy and beautiful inside, with beautiful artwork all over the walls and warm blankets for the nighttime. Thank you to the both of them for being so welcoming ans generous. We're already planning our next trip back to Turtle Rock.

  • Beautiful view on the clifftop. We came during the winter after it snowrd. It was wonderful to watch the sunset, covered in blankets and enjoy some snacks while sitting next to the electric heater. There is a breakfast nook with cereal, milk, fruits available. Mary was very considerate in her hospitality and it was a peaceful and relaxing trip.

Built over 100 years ago as a chicken hatchery, this gorgeous little gem has been fully restored as a two-story guest cottage. Located in New Paltz just minutes off Exit 18 on I-87 in a very private, quiet, country setting. Only ten minutes from New Paltz Village & SUNY New Paltz and set back on a lightly traveled road for those long summer strolls. You don't even need a car to get here! It's just 12 minutes by taxi from the New Paltz Bus Station or bring your bike up and cycle everywhere!
The Little Yellow Cottage displays much of it's original construction including post and beam, stained glass in the cupola (even an original stained glass portrait of Abraham Lincoln!) and a screened in porch for breakfast with a view or just hanging out. Inside you’ll find a spiral staircase and all the 21st century amenities you’d expect, including radiant in-floor heat, AC, TV, wi-fi and laundry in the full kitchen (Note: there is a stovetop but no oven). One queen bed sleeps two on the ground level and one Murphy bed sleeps a single on the lower level. Private picnic table right outside. And the postal code may say Highland, but the Little Yellow Cottage is really in New Paltz!
Check out the funky art hub of New Paltz or SUNY New Paltz just 10 minutes away or climb the Shawanagunk Mountains 15 minutes away. You don’t even need a car! Bring your bike up on the bus or train and take a taxi ($12) to the Little Yellow Cottage. Cycle the 20 minutes into New Paltz or even spend a day on the Hudson Valley Rail Trail also just 20 minutes away. Talk a long walk on a quiet country road and snap a selfie at the tranquil Black Creek just a minute away.
  • If you're looking for a peaceful getaway in an immaculately-kept and thoughtfully designed space, the Little Yellow Cottage is where your search ends. The cottage is on a low-traffic road, tucked into plenty of trees and other greenery and faces a clearing with a picnic table. All windows inside the cottage face either the thick of the woods behind the cottage or the clearing in front. At night if you open any window you're met with the subtle sound of crickets and frogs in the distance (exciting for those of us coming from the city). In addition to the spiral staircase (who doesn't love a spiral staircase?), the high ceiling with original beams is another little treasure of the main level. The kitchen below is fully equipped (we cooked dinner all five nights we were there) and the washer + dryer came in handy after days spent hiking/exploring the nearby trails and cliffs. We were not originally familiar with New Paltz, but after one visit to the very cute center of town, we fell in love and made more than one trip to places like The Grazery (local cheese + plant shop) and In Good Taste (local liquor store specializing in wine) for supplies. We even picked up some light reading from a bookstore in town. Overall this place was a treat for us and Justin was a wonderful host. We're looking forward to planning another stay soon!

    Ciana2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent. Just as advertised.

    Tom2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Justin’s cottage is lovely. Plush bedding and cozy bed, super soft towels and bright bathroom, spacious kitchen loaded with all the usuals, and a bug free screened-in porch for coffee or brunch. You’ll need a car or a Lyft to get around, but it’s not too too far from Poughkeepsie and New Paltz. Pack some groceries and some hiking boots and you’ll be set. The only part of the cottage I didn’t love was the fact that it’s right next to a road that surprisingly sees a decent amount of traffic. But if it rains, you’ll be able to hear it on the roof!

    Frank2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • I LOVED staying at this little cottage! It was sparkling clean like a nicer hotel but was cozier than a hotel could ever be. I would recommend this stay to anyone who is in the area.

    Kira2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I booked our stay for two nights to get away from the city life and celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday as I wanted to bring groceries to cook during the stay. We checking in around 7pm with no problem and Justin had a parking spot available for us. When walking in, we instantly got warm cozy vibes and spot on cleanliness as everything in the cottage looked exactly and matched the pictures posted on the profile. Everything we needed was already included as we didn’t have to ask for any assistance. I was able to cook all my meals with the pots & pans provided including extra amenities which helped during our stay. This is by far my best getaway experience and will absolutely rebook. Thank you Justin for the all hospitality!

    Sonia2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • A great getaway spot. Tiny and comfy and fun.

    Tron2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Justin's place is so cute! Perfect for a weekend getaway with a significant other. The floors were heated which I thought was awesome! There is a picnic table outside and even a screened in porch. The place was very clean and cozy. There is a stove and microwave (no oven) and TV with cable as well as WiFi. It looks newly renovated and especially homey, you'll love it!

    Sara2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute little cabin! Me and my partner just wanted a little get away from the hustle and bustle of NYC. This was perfect. The bed was super comfy and the cabin was so nice and cozy. There was so much beautiful sunlight every morning. I work remotely and was able to get all my work done. Justin was super quick to reply when I had issues connecting my laptop and fixed the issue immediately. Highly recommend this spot I wish it would have snowed I'm sure this place is magical when it does.

She even left us home made brownies to enjoy throughout our trip and a guest book that was full of places to eat and fun activities to do in the area. The apartment was beautiful and a short walk to Main Street which had some nice cafes and other places to eat. It was also very clean inside. I would highly recommend staying here, it’s amazing!

Victorian Haven is located near the Shawangunk Mountains that extends for over 20 miles and reaches 2,200 feet in height at Sam's point, the highest elevation on the ridge. In addition, the Wallkill River provides unspoiled and picturesque spots for hiking, fishing and/or picnics. Gardiner has a beautiful rail trail that follows the path of the 1860's railroad and provides a great opportunity to hike, bike or ski.

  • Victorian Haven - quiet, cozy, and quaint! Such an adorable hidden gem in a small community. Had everything needed from morning coffee to dinner making! The small intimate touches like the selection of coffee with multiple options for creamer and added notes and information about the place and local areas of interest made it stand out! The wildlife was amazing - seeing 50+ deer just hanging out and the many birds on/near the river. Perfect place to stay while seeing a concert and just wanting to get away for the weekend. Definitely recommend for a couple trying to unwind and relax!

Also there were games, pens and markers in the living room that made nights by the fire even more fun! The sunset was gorgeous at the outdoor deck and town was a quick 10 minutes away. We highly recommend and want to return with our dog soon!

  • This was a great option for anyone visiting Marist College up the road a little in Poughkeepsie. It's a lovely residential neighborhood with large lots and little traffic. I did not have the opportunity to meet the hosts, but they seemed quite nice from the communication we had. The bed was comfortable, there was coffee in the pantry, and the place was clean and tidy. I went during graduation season when 2-star motels where charging $220 per night. It was a real treat to find this place at a much more reasonable rate.

    David2019-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lillian's place was spacious and comfortable. She does have kids upstairs but we didn't mind at all. The bed was heated which made it super comfortable.

  • Frankie’s place was great for what we needed it for. It’s in a central location with multiple breweries/brewpubs within walking distance. Frankie also had water and snacks available, which we really appreciated. Our only very minor complaint is that the neighbor was quite loud, but this is usually hard to avoid within apartment buildings.
