Places to stay in Never Never
Welcome to paradise in the Promised Land, with views that roll out forever across World Heritage listed mountains and pristine rainforest fringed by the magical Never Never Creek. The gorgeous community of Bellingen is a 10 minute drive away.
  • Beautiful view, relaxing location. Nigel was an excellent host.

  • This is a beautiful spot set above the rolling valleys. Close to town and some incredible water holes. Nigel was super relaxed and very informative and always happy to help. Place is clean and easy. Our young girls loved the dogs and we loved sitting in the swing taking in the views with a glass of vino in hand. Thanks again Nigel - we really enjoyed our stay .

  • Without a doubt, our favourite Air BnB experience. Nigel was a super host and the Promised Lands and surroundings are some kind of heaven on earth. We can't wait to visit again! Thank you so much Nigel for opening up your beautiful home to Jason, Jude and I.

  • Nigel's place is highly recommended. The location is secluded amongst nature and scenic views. It's a short 15 minute drive to beautiful Bellingen town. The place has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a coffee maker! Nigel was very hospitable and gave us yummy breakfast items also.

    Gleniffer, NSW, Australia

Open up your bedroom wall and enjoy the intimate surrounds of rainforest along the Never Never River, just below your tree house hideaway. The building was designed by an iconic Australian architect and is just 10 minutes drive from funky Bellingen. Swim olympic lengths in our clean, cool and freshwater front yard. Walk, canoe or ride nearby in Dorrigo and Belongil national parks. Ask about other onsite beds for families - including The Hut on Never Never Creek acerage. Tread lightly. Relax.
We love our Gleniffer home. It sits in the beautiful northern NSW Bellinger Valley, among treetops, on the bank of the Never Never creek. This quiet and precious part of the globe is called the Promised Land, romantically named by an enraptured Italian farmer. Proceeds from Air BnB help us to regenerate and protect this special place, so thank you in advance for your patronage of this precious bushland. THE ROOM The River Room is a very big space, and more than just a bedroom. You sleep in a comfy king-sized bed but also have extensive desk & couch space for writing, painting, reading and quiet time. It is simply furnished, which best suits its minimalist architecture. One wall opens up like a garage door to reveal the Never Never Creek, just metres below. It is detached via a walkway from our main home. The bathroom is nearby. Your wonderfully drenching shower, basin and toilet is along a short walkway. It is private but constructed so you can still enjoy your rainforest surrounds. In summer or winter, you may like to use a dressing gown/wrap. THE BUILDING Our 3-part tree house was designed especially to suit the local climate and environment, by respected Australian architect, Richard LePlastrier. It was built in 1980 by a meticulous Dutchman, Henk Mulder. The peace and serenity you will experience here is due largely to the architecture of this building - which allows you to embrace the rain storms, the cacophony of birdlife and the meandering or raging river. We have made only minor adjustments to the minimalist interior design, in order to preserve its historical significance. GUESTS The River Room lends a wonderful peacefulness to our home and for this reason bedding in this space is limited. It is not suitable for a group of adults (two adults only). To ensure your experience is in keeping with our neighbourhood atmospheric, we request absolutely no visitors during your stay. For families with more than one child, we offer heavily discounted rates for any spill over in The Hut on Never Never Creek acerage ($30 plus half cleaning costs). We also have a room below the River Room with a queen sized bed. Just ask about this when you send a booking request. (If your children are not old enough to sleep apart from you, the Valley has lots of options for your family which may be more suitable). If you are bringing children they need to be supervised; remember it is a treehouse in a rural area, and the bush can be unpredictable. Most children are fine, other than energetic and inquisitive toddlers! MEALS There is no kitchen in the River Room, however, we do provide a toaster, kettle, plates and cutlery. Most guests are on vacation and like to buy from Bellingen’s excellent delicatessen, bakery or other cafes, bringing home some basic snack and breakfast food - keeping things simple. You can heat up your takeaway food in our microwave and retire to your River Room to eat. There is a dining table in the room and we have a fridge in our downstairs laundry that you are welcome to use. If you prefer to eat out, Bellingen also has many great restaurants. Just remember they close early compared to the city and might require bookings at peak holiday times. For longer stays, you can request access to our downstairs bush kitchen and BBQ, which can be shared/negotiated depending on your meal preferences/times. Please enquire about this prior to booking. SWIMMING IN THE NEVER NEVER Swimming in summer is literally at your doorstep, in a clean and deep waterhole off your own pontoon. Talk to us about fish/eels and water monitors and platypus. TELECOMMUNICATIONS Telstra works well for your smart phone internet use. Check any other mobile networks for their advised reception quality. Our rural area is currently NOT serviced by high speed NBN. Bring your own toggle if you want WIFI options. WEATHER We enjoy sublime winter days, which are usually warm and sunny before you retire and tuck under your River Room doona! Summers are glorious with sub-tropical balmy nights. You will be grateful for the rainforest shade and the refreshing river waters during the hotter daytime hours. We are a 15 minute drive from Bellingen. You will need a car or bike.
Precious natural places are increasingly rare in the world. We are privileged to live in one of those neighbourhoods. The Valley has coastal and hinterland national parks. The region is dubbed ‘Northern Rivers’ because the district has so many river systems, small and large, meandering through our valleys and coastal properties. But it won't stay this way forever without the thoughtful efforts of locals and visitors combined. Regeneration and weeding preoccupies us all, but with the rich rewards of a healthy, thriving, native bush riparian zone. We encourage you to soak it up; relax, slow down, tread lightly. ACTIVITIES Dorrigo and Ebor are within half an hour from our valley. The NSW Parks and Wildlife managed areas have excellent walks and extensive trackways. There are beautiful national parks at Dorrigo and Bonville. Urunga has a newly created wetlands Boardwalk (accessible off the old Pacific Highway). It is a truly stunning walk and close by is a longer established boardwalk to the beach from Urunga township. Surf stretches are only half an hour away and the beaches are renowned for small crowds. The valley hosts special musical and cultural events including the River, Jazz and Readers’ and Writers’ Festivals and the Bello Winter Festival. Nearby Valery trails offers horse riding.
  • What a delight to be able to experience the space that George and Kirsty have created. The architecture, landscape and chats helped us to relax and open up to new thoughts and ideas. Now that’s pretty special!

    Sarah2020-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • The river room is as inviting as it is unique. The quirky nature of the place really adds to the experience in what can only be described as an indescribably beautiful location. Kirsty and George were lovely hosts. Highly recommended.

    Michael2020-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • What an incredible space. Words won’t do it justice. My partner and I stayed for 2 nights and felt like we were in another world.

    Keiran2020-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place is magic! I stayed with two friends for the weekend and we absolutely loved it. The space itself is amazing, and the hosts were lovely and welcoming. A real highlight was the river being right on our doorstep for an afternoon swim. Everything was fab, and we will be back for sure.

    Charlotte2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful experience!

    Paul2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • It was probably the most relaxing place I've ever stayed in. Go and see for yourself!

    Dean2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • One of the most unique places to stay. Location wise it is beautiful, waking up to the sound of the river and animals. Swimming in the river which is outside your front door was one of the highlights too. Kirsty and George were wonderful hosts, very friendly and approachable. Will be coming back again soon!

    Jacqueline2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Kirsty and George's property is unique and comfortable. It will well located for easy day trips in the Mid North Coast area or for relaxing without going any where at all. Private access to the river is an absolute winner!

Spacious cabin in a rural setting with magnificent views of the Never Never forest ranges. Cozy wood fire, king size bed and claw foot bath. Private and inspiring accomodation 10 mins from Bellingen. Walking track and river access.
Never Never Cabin is an open plan, spacious and independent cabin. It was designed to appreciate the natural surrounds and dressed to create an inspiring and peaceful space. There is a comfy king size bed and a wood fire to keep you cozy. Have a bath in the claw foot and watch the sun go down over the mountain range. The cabin has full kitchen facilities with gas cook top, oven, pots, pan, kettle and toaster. Our much loved house made organic muesli, fruit and yoghurt is provided for breakfast plus a selection of decent coffee and teas. Washing machine and handy items. There is an extra wide verandah for outdoor dining, star gazing and enjoying the view. Park undercover right at the door.
The cabin sits at the top of a 13 acre peaceful rural property at the end of a country road. The Never Never river winds along the boundary. 10 minutes drive to Bellingen town and 5 minutes from the Promised Land. Swim spots, walking trails and beautiful country drives are all nearby.
  • Wow! This property was stunning and everything we could have wanted for our secluded getaway. I can not recommend it enough. The cabin was so clean and had loads of thoughtful touches to make us feel comfortable and at home. The space is very stylish with a large (very comfortable) bed that looks out over a beautiful view of the mountains. Our favourite part of our stay was walking down to the river which runs through the property for a refreshing swim. The host had also already prepared the fire place with kindling and had an endless supply of timber for us to use. This cabin stay is one that we will remember forever. Highly recommended! Thanks again to our host.

    Tyler2020-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to stay if you are visiting Bellingen! Only 10mins out of town, but it feels like a remote location at the bottom of the forest. The cabin is a really cool modern design and very functional. We really enjoyed our honeymoon at the cabin. Be sure to visit the Promised land 10mins further up the road for a swim or mountain bike.

  • Jason and Karlee’s cabin exceeded all expectations. The place is immaculate and was beautifully appointed with everything we needed. Will definitely be coming back.

A relaxing and peaceful country escape. The property sits below the mountains and boasts acres of both untouched and well maintained land. Includes access to a beautiful creek, private waterfall and swimming hole. Plenty of bird life, trees and mountain views for relaxing. A separate studio room with a Queen bed, two singles, lounges and a dining table. Basic cooking equipment provided. Bathroom, shower and running water is only accessible from the main residence, but not inside the studio.
The property sits at the apex of the mountain and boasts 113 acres of both untouched and well maintained land. With a beautiful creek running through its centre, it has an incredible private waterfall and swimming hole with direct private access. The property is located in the Promised Land at Gleniffer. It is a beautiful rural setting with a mix of farm and bushland. Accommodation is a private and spacious studio that is separate from the main house. Fridge, hot plates, small basic oven, kettle and toaster. Fresh filtered water is provided in the fridge and there is also a fresh running tap (for refills) located directly outside of the front door of the studio. There is however no running water, bathroom or shower directly inside the studio. For washing dishes and cups, I provide outside of the side door of the studio (and directly outside the studio) an area with a bench and a bucket feed sink. Milk, tea and coffee, eggs, cereal, butter and bread (frozen) are provided for guests. Unfortunately the place is not a bed and breakfast, however, and guests are advised to bring their own food supplies should they wish to cook substantial meals. The nearest location to purchase food or other items, or obtain takeaway, is Bellingen and that is approximately 15km away (so car or other private transport is essential). Most guests buy their supplies in Bellingen from the local vendors and eat that food either in town or on the property. Otherwise, there are restaurants and cafes in Bellingen to choose from, but being a country town the shops do close early. There is no bathroom or shower facilities directly within the studio. Instead, guests have full access to the bathroom and toilet amenities that are attached to the main residence with private side access (but please do note that the bathroom and toilet amenities are shared with the host who resides in the main residence and the main residence, bathroom and shower is separate from and not physically attached to the studio accommodation). The main residence and bathroom access is approximately 20 metres from and adjacent to the studio. In terms of communications and technology, there is no WIFI or other entertainment provided. The property is in a rural area and is not serviced by cable, satellite or other internet networks. The only internet access will be from your smart phone depending on the level of reception you receive based on your service provider. Reception can be difficult to obtain at times due to the proximity to the mountains. Telstra can usually obtain mobile phone access, however some others with different service providers do not have phone or mobile service in this part of the world. This is a peaceful country place, not a hustle and bustle of a town or city.
Gleniffer is a safe revitalising escape from the hustle and bustle of life. Surrounded by mountains, the sound of abundant bird life, unpolluted fresh air and crystal clear water, it's a very popular destination if you want to get back to nature and all within 30-40 mins drive from the coast and pristine beaches, or Coffs Harbour with its airport and shopping complexes.
  • We had an amazing stay at The Farm, Rosie was very helpful when we checked in and made us feel at home for the duration of our stay. We highly recommend staying here.

    Ashwin2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Can't remember if it i s my fourth or fifth trip to Rosie's magical swimming hole xxx

    Sam2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Rosie's place is, in a word, beautiful. I did like her beautiful garden, friendly pets and the highlight of it all, her very own backyard waterfall!

    Peter2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful rustic cottage :) set in the magical promised land ! :) with a gorgeous private waterfall , a beautiful garden including Rosie's supercute vegetable patch that she generously offered to share. It was soo peaceful, away from all the noise midst the jungle quiet and birdsongs :) playing with the cute bunch of pets she has ( Bruno the dog , a cat and 3 cute kittens ) and having candlelit dinners in the evening! The only downside was the presence of creepy crawlies at night. Good thing we had our insect spray and repellant. So keeping that with you is recommended. Also although the waterhole is absolutely gorgeous, it's a bit of a steep climb and some areas are quite slippery so being xtra careful there is recommended :) Much love and thanks Rosie💐

    Sara2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Jack and I couldn’t not be more happier ! The place was beyond stunning! Rosie is easily the best host ever hands down, between being so kind and giving and having a spectacular property and the cutest most loyal dog, our stay couldn’t have gone any more perfect. Can’t wait to come back !

    Bella2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely gorgeous and Rosie was such a star. We enjoyed every second of our stay and would definitely go back!

  • Such a lovely place to stay!

    Jordan2019-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Rosie is warm and welcoming. I enjoyed her genuine, approachable easy going nature. I felt comfortable and at home very quickly. The private swimming hole/ waterfall was invigorating and therapeutic at this time of year. I also enjoyed strolling down the road, catching the early morning light, views of the surrounding farmland and mist in the valley. The cabin is a simple set up nestled in a luscious garden.

  • Tranquility, peace and quiet just the sounds of the birds singing.

    Mardi2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay, just sitting on the back deck watching the birds and the clouds moving over the mountains was so peaceful. Host recommended the Japanese restaurant in town and it was was spot on, amazing food and a huge selection of sake at a great price. The free range eggs juice and guava jam were so delicious. Everything here is natural and organic, the double filtered tap water is perfect, I went home feeling really detoxed. The Accommodation is so private, you can shower with the door open and look right out to the beautiful mountains.

    David2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a real gem. It feels like you are suspended in the trees, living among the birds. Beautiful gardens surround the property. Well equipped kitchen and very thoughtful hosts. This is definitely one of our top Airbnb stays. Highly recommended.

  • Staying at the nest feels like you are in treehouse in the middle of a beautiful rainforest. We loved the space and enjoyed exploring the charming town and surrounding area. Kevin was amazing in leaving us fresh jam and eggs from his hens, he was also full of local knowledge about the area. We recommend staying here 100%

    Nick2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin’s one bedroom place is spacious and beautifully presented. Lovely big balcony for a BBQ and you must check out the night sky after dinner. Kevin made us feel very welcome and provided eggs, milk, fruit, bread and butter..well stocked kitchenette for most other kitchen needs...The location is perfect with plenty of birdlife around. The weather was hot and being able to drop into the pool was perfect for cooling down. Great place and Belligen centre is just around 10 mins minutes away.

Created by nature loving artists this beautiful Moroccan/Balinese styled house is exquisitely appointed with detailed finishes through out. The hand crafted wrought iron staircase built by a local blacksmith is the centre piece of the atrium where two upstairs bedrooms contain a queen bed and two single beds in each room. The media room /third bedroom has two double futon beds. Accommodation for up to 12 people or an intimate private couple retreat.
BBQ and Balcony The kitchen centrally located in the house has a door leading to the balcony that wraps around the house on three sides. The BBQ is located outside perfectly protected from the weather where you can sit and relax overlooking the orchard and golden cane palm trees. It’s a great place to sip coffee in the morning and watch the birds. The view from the front of the balcony is of the district towards the coast where the town of Bellingen is located. The view from the back is of the mountain Old Man Dreaming. Meals The fully equipped kitchen is a cooks delight. The designer planned the kitchen to be open and it invites you to walk freely in a triangle from the sink to the stove to the fridge. It has plenty of elbow room for more than one cook. For your convenience the kitchen is equipped with a large family size fridge, gas cooktop, large electric oven, microwave, electric fry pan, pots and pans, food preparation utensils, lots of pantry storage for longer term stays and because we know it’s important great sharp knives, olive oil for cooking, salt, pepper, sauces and condiments. Milk, sugar, tea and coffee will be provided for your enjoyment. The freezer will be stocked with some boxed commercially packaged (labelled with prices) items such as frozen fish pieces, chicken schnitzel, sausages and bread so you can arrive and relax straight away and pay when you go. ECO Friendly toilet It looks like a standard toilet but “Clive” (the loo with a beautiful bush view) is a specially designed composting toilet. The Clivus Multrum toilet is made here in Australia and is an environmentally friendly alternative to on site sewage processing. Special microbes process the waste which is eventually safe and beneficial for use on the orchard. ECO Friendly Shower All water is collected on the very large roof of the house and stored in water tanks at the top of the property. The water is heated by solar panels and stored in a water tank that gravity feeds to the two showers. One of the showers is outside hidden in a private nook of the garden where the waste water feeds the lush tropical gardens. The other shower is inside the house and the waste water is piped to a grey water pond located near the Lychee and Banana trees. We provide eco friendly shampoo and conditioner and make available (for you to purchase) locally produced products to use and take home as a souvenir from your stay. ECO Friendly Washing Machine The front loader is a modern water and power efficient model. We supply the washing detergent to ensure that our guests are using eco friendly products safe for our grey water system. There is an outdoor hills hoist as well as a modern power efficient front loading clothes dryer which collects the water to be reused in the grey water system. ECO Friendly Recycling We take bottles and cans to the recycling centre at Connell Park in Bellingen. We also deposit cardboard at the Raleigh transfer station. In the kitchen a container is provided for food scraps to take out to the compost. Guest Access The property is on 14 acres of natural rainforest land with 5 acres developed. Guests are welcome to wander around the home compound and orchard. You will have your own parking and driveway. 50 metres away from the house hidden behind shrubbery, there is a separate fenced off area where the owners live out the back accessed by a second driveway. 150 metres away, the third driveway leads to the workshop and the caretakers Mongolian Yurt which is strictly private and we hope that you will be able to respect that as we will respect your quiet enjoyment of our beautiful property. We understand natural curiosity and will be happy to arrange by appointment a viewing of our magnificent orange MongolianYurt. There are in total 8 Mongolian Yurts on the property as part of our Eco Tourism business. You may see some Workawayers in the garden doing various property maintenance and gardening jobs as this is a working farm. Ask us where the track is that leads to the creek. You can lay in the cool natural spring water pools and cool off. The property has ponds and natural water features that are not fenced off. Pet Friendly We allow you to bring your dog. We provide next to the house a shaded wire mesh enclosure with a dog sleeper box, water and food bowls. This is so you can leave your pet in a safe place while you visit near by National Parks. We request that the dog is kept on a lead whilst outside this enclosure. Dogs love a romp in the the creek so enjoy. We request that only lap dogs or very well behaved dogs join you inside the house but not in the bedrooms please. The Decor All floors except the tiled bathroom are polished wood inside and painted wood outside for a clean easy to live live in feel. The furniture is very simple and has been set up in a way to make you feel relaxed as very little effort is required to keep it looking tidy and in place. The house is exclusively used as guest accommodation so you will not find yourself chasing your kids to not touch little things. The third media/bedroom has a games cupboard, books and TV. Yoga mats are provided. Wildlife There are a lot of birds including our friend “Cramer” the Regent Satin Bower bird. Binoculars and a bird identification book are provided. At night the sound of a quacking duck hopping is the bandicoot. We have Padimellons (little kangaroos) and rainforest wallabies especially in the driveway at dawn and dusk. It is possible to see large bats, micro bats, Tawny Frogmouths, goannas, snakes, water skinks, small marsipuals and bush turkeys. The sound of nature and being in a place alive with the symphony of sounds is a wonderful experience. You may hear frogs particularly after rain and black cockatoos eating the bunya nuts. The Orchard Lots of Mangoes, passion fruit, bananas, lychee, locquat, jaboticaba, white sapotes, black sapote, pecans, mulberry, grapefruit, mandarin, lemon, lime, kaffir lime, black figs, star fruit, dragon fruits, native quandong, persimmon, strawberry guava, pineapple guava, Brazilian cherry, pineapple, kiwi fruit, pomegranate, green olive Eco Friendly Cooling and heating The roof is beautiful so laying in bed you can look up into the A frame and there is plenty of light through the big picture windows. The building was designed to breathe which is why it has never had air conditioning installed. The temperature is naturally adjusted by opening and closing louver windows upstairs and down. This also works in reverse keeping the heat in in winter. This is eco friendly on the power consumption as we don’t have an air conditioner. Of course if we have extremely hot weather like a heat wave this will affect the temperatures no matter where you go. The roof cavity has been filled with 7cm bats of pure wool for a very high end insulation that is extremely efficient. The house is comfortable and in winter the fire place keeps it warm. You just need to put wood in the fire box which gives your stay a nice country living feel. The chairs in the main room are lightweight cane and can be easily moved closer to the fire in a U shape which is a nice way to enjoy watching the fire. It is romantic too! The Bedrooms The two bedrooms upstairs are the same. Each has a queen bed and two single beds. The Media/third bedroom has a door that closes internally. Mosquito nets are provided for your comfort however for most of the time these would not be necessary. Location This beautiful 14 acre property only 15 minutes drive from Bellingen is like no other. Boarded by Dorrigo National Park on two boundaries this private rainforest pocket on the side of the mountain called Old Man Dreaming is a natural wonderland.
Noonggalli is located in Gleniffer, near the township of Bellingen New South Wales, Australia. We find it easier to describe the location as Gordonville as we are located quite close to the Upper Bellingen river crossing called Gordonville Crossing. If you have a 4WD it is an easy 8 minute drive into Bellingen along Waterfall Way which is the road that comes down the mountain from Dorrigo. Otherwise the scenic route that takes 15 minutes to Bellingen on the sealed road. There is another unsealed in part road that joins Waterfall Way and its is a nice country drive if you want a short cut to Dorrigo. The area is renowned for natural beauty and stunning swimming holes. A perfect place to unwind and get back to nature. The town of Bellingen is a vibrant place with loads of interesting festivities in the arts, music, culture and has a great community atmosphere. Visit the markets, and near by beaches at Urunga and Sawtell or spend the day in Dorrigo exploring the National Park walking tracks. Gleniffer/ Gordonville is a great central location between mountain top and ocean shore and a half hour drive in either direction rewards you with a variety of experiences.
  • We had a wonderful weekend away! A lovely home and surrounds to explore - fresh fruit for breakfast was amazing each day and the cozy fireplace to enjoy each night after a day of nature adventures was so lovely too! Will highly recommend to friends and family

  • Amazing amazing perfect!! My friends and I had a more than beautiful stay in Peta’s house for two weeks. No words for the house, it’s such a wonderful place to stay and breathe surrounded by all the nature, fruits-trees and hills. We really appreciate the fact that the house is really open on the outside (so the green) and the sustainable challenge which is well done in this place. Five starts for the bathrooms, one outside like in south east Asia, so exotic, one inside worthy of a palace. It would be a mistake to don’t spend a little time in this paradise.. really. We had an amazing time there thank you Peta.

  • Beautiful drive to get to this hidden gem amongst nature. It’s a unique magical place, full of natural light. Fire place is lovely and cosy. I would suggest taking advantage of the bath while it’s still light outside to take advantage of the view of the trees.

    Angie2020-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Peta’s space is an artistic and comfortable abode surrounded by drop dead gorgeous forest. It was an absolute treat for the senses to unwind in the space, and not a detail was spared to make us feel comfortable- from chopped wood for the fire and extra warm blankets if needed. Highly recommend this little jewel. 💓

Rustic wooden cabin, decked out with records and books. Climb the ladder to the mezzanine for a comfy nights sleep. It’s like sleeping in a cubby house for adults! One minute walk to the main street where you can enjoy all the restaurants, bars and live music. Our space suits travellers stopping over and people looking for somewhere unique. It’s the perfect place to crash after having a great day out in beautiful Bello. It’s fun, but it’s not sophisticated.
The cabin is small, drenched with sunlight, and cosy at night. You'll love sitting on the lounge and listening to the record collection. You'll also love being able to walk into town for live music, great food, and the weekend markets.
Bellingen is a picturesque town on the edge of Gondwana rainforest. Our cabin is centrally located in one of the townships heritage streets and it's a short stroll down to the Bellinger River.

A rainforest cottage set in 25 acres on the Rosewood River, about 16 ks from Bellingen off the Waterfall Way. The river is a magical place for swimming , connecting with nature or just relaxing. Its a place for just being in the moment. We adjoin the Gondwana World Heritage area and Dorrigo National Park, where the river begins it journey. The cottage is next to the main house where I live. Well behaved dogs are are welcome at Rosewood, however one dog only please.
Situated on the pristine Rosewood River with swimming holes, rainforest privacy and plenty of space to relax. It is a deeply spiritual place. The cottage has a mezzanine bedroom, which sleeps two, air conditioner and heater, firewood combustion heater, self contained kitchenette, with fridge, bench top oven, microwave, laundry and a delightful bathroom looking over the rainforest. The large deck has a spa which also looks over the rainforest and river and an outdoor dining area with a private Webber BBQ. With a privacy screen. There is nothing more calming than going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the river. There are two swimming holes, rapids and smooth flowing waters. You may even sight a family of platypus who share the river with us. No fishing please.
Thora is a small country settlement where life is lived the way it should be. Community minded, respectful no matter what your background or lifestyle, and always willing to help. The location of Rosewood is very private but accessible to the Thora General Store and Waterfall Way.
  • My boyfriend and I spent a weekend in May at Rosewood. John was a terrific host with plenty of local knowledge offered generously. The space is perfectly proportioned for a couple, comfortable but expansive - we particularly enjoyed waking up to the rainforest in the loft bedroom, floorboards warmed by the downstairs fireplace. The property itself is quite magic. A very powerful place to find renewal. We felt very privileged to be able to experience it. Thank you, John. Snooki knows where all the best spots are.

    Emily2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning Location. Something new to look at every where you look. Extremely peaceful and relaxing. John and Snooki were amazing hosts. Thoughtful and full of conversation and equally respectful of privacy. A place worth visiting 10 times over.

    Pete2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a wonderful spot for a re-charge and re-set in nature. John and his dog Snooki welcomed us with warmth and our stay was made fun and interesting with tips from John about the local area as well as interesting conversations. A true feel of paradise and connection to Mother Earth right at your doorstep! We are definitely coming back!!

    Mysan2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • John’s place was amazing, it was relaxing falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the river. We had lots of fun getting to know John and playing with Snooki.

    Simon2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • John's place is absolutely stunning! The water to swim in was crystal clear and so relaxing, the cottage so comfortable with everything you could ever need. We loved swimming and then coming up to the deck to sit outside and admire the beautiful greenery and birdlife. John and Snookie are both very welcoming and friendly, we enjoyed chatting and hanging out with them during the small amount of time we had at the property. We will definitely be back to this little slice of paradise and would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area. Don't hesitateom booking and stay as long as you can!

    Clair2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • A stunning property in an incredible location on the banks of the Rosewood river with swimming holes a few second’s walk down the bank. We swam multiple times each day during our stay in the warm clear waters of the river. Our dog learned to swim here and absolutely loved the river as well. The property is about a 15 min drive from Bellingen and is very private and secluded. We loved waking up to the sound of bird song and then falling asleep to the sound of the river. The bathroom looks out over the gardens and we loved the hot and powerful shower.

    Liam2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience of John's home and this rare and pristine river was nothing short of magical. Between the velvetty waters, deep green immersion of the rainforest and the charm and generosity of John and Snooki's hospitality, we came away as unrecognisably chilled out versions of the people who'd arrived 5 days earlier.

    Jackie2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • John’s communication was above and beyond. Keeping us updated on the fires in the area before our arrival. An amazing garden with access to a very special river to take a dip in on those hot days. A cute and well styled cottage we loved the space and the bathroom felt like we were showering outside! Amazing! Our dog, Sammy had the time of his life and loved playing with Snooki, and exploring the forest and river.

  • My partner and I spent a whole week enjoying this amazing cabin, set on a picturesque hill side with views over the local mountain ranges. This property is perfectly located for a base to explore the local towns or national parks, with some beautiful walks only a few minutes drive away. The cabin was extremely clean and the the furnishings were perfectly suited to this studio space. The cabin boasts a big veranda which is great for meals outside or a few beers in the evening after exploring the local area. Sally and Chris were fantastic hosts and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

    Joel2020-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Sallys place is absolutely amazing. I would say one of my best Airbnb stays so far. The cabin was sparkling clean, had everything you need and came with delicious home grown apples, heaps of birds, a friendly next paddock horse, fantastic views and a fireplace for the cold nights. You need some time away from the big city? Then it's the place to be. In case you are interested in the local wildlife, plants and the rainforest - ask Chris! :) I learned a great deal from him throughout my stay. Thank you guys for a fantastic week!

Little Promised Land is a beautiful, light filled spacious home in the heart of The Promised Land just outside of Bellingen. Overlooking lush green pastures and surrounded by magnificent mountains, abundant bird life, fresh air and peace and quiet. Beautiful swimming hole on the property.💚
Peace and quiet. Huge living space. Additional bed with mosquito net on the verandah. Bath under the stars. High ceilings, Lots of doors and windows. FULL of light. Eclectic furniture and art from all over the world. Fully equipped kitchen. Huge verandahs.
We are 15kms from town, which always has something going on ..... from music to art, and everything in between. We are half an hour from the most beautiful beaches. Great for surfing, fishing and long walks. Dorrigo is half an hour up the mountain. There is (we think) nowhere more beautiful to live in NSW. Come and stay and explore.
  • This was definitely the best Airbnb experience myself and my partner have ever had. It’s not often you get to escape the hustle and bustle of the city to an undisturbed tranquil environment, surrounded by banana trees, a private rainforest and a hot tub under the brightest stars you could ever imagine. Alexandra’s little home truly is unique and will inevitably find a way of pulling you back to reality. Thank you Alex - From our experience.. we think you deserve beyond 5 stars.

  • This house is superb! If you want to relax and immerse yourself in nature this is a lovely place to do it. The highlights were the outdoor bedroom, outdoor bath (beautiful experience in the rain) and the lovely artworks and trinkets that make it so homely. It was nice for us having no TV and limited internet so we just read, walked, cooked and relaxed each day. The Wonga Walk in Dorrigo is a must and walking in the local area is divine. I highly recommend this stay if you want a unique experience!

  • Surely one of Australia's Purest most peaceful and pure locations. The bus VASTLY exceeded my expectations. We arrived on one of the 'catastrophic' fire days when Southern Australia burned in 45+degree heat. Not at Gleniffer though. The bus was shady, calm, cool and beautifully appointed. Not quite glamping, not quite a cabin, not quite heaven, but so close to all of these. I'm planning a return trip so I can lie on the deck for days and read a big pile of books. Be warned, true heaven probably doesn't have social media. If internet is your thing, know that the reception at the bus was a bit patchy during the day but was fine at night. Do yourself a favour and put the phone down, and go have a dip in the Never Never Creek.

    Jenn2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a delight! Quirky, fun, but still fully-equipped accomodation in stunning secluded bush location. And still only 15 min from Beautiful Bello. We loved the little path down to the river, great adventures. Merridy and Warren are lovely hosts, giving us fresh eggs and taking my girls to see their donkeys. The air conditioning was wonderful on hot days and there is also a fire pit for winter. I can’t recommend this AirBNB highly enough.

  • Found this gem by chance. Was looking for a place to stay with the wife and 2 kids on the way home from QLD to Newcastle. Was originally looking at coastal stays (as we usually do), but found myself searching for farm stays. This is only a short 30ish minute trip inland from the Pacific Highway. We spent 6/10 days at theme parks in QLD having so much fun, but all the kids can talk about is how we stayed a couple of nights at the Bus Stop with Merridy. This is a magical property with a great outlook. There is a creek at the back of the property we swam in that is so refreshingly chilled you feel alive and wanting more. You’ll be amazed at how clear the water is. At the risk of the Bus Stop being booked out the next time we holiday in that direction, I have to highly recommend this stay, especially to families with young kids. This is NOT a 5* hotel.... IT’S BETTER..!!!! Fresh air, crystal clear water, great hospitality, you’ll find yourself shaking your head at how long you’ve been smiling for and how relaxed you are. Yes, we will be back! Thank you Merridy and co.

  • Peaceful, homely and quiet. A restful place to stay and get away from it all. The property is beautifully presented and the mediation and yoga space was fantastic. Only a short drive from the beautiful Never Never River with many swimming holes. If you want a place to escape, relax, recharge then this is for you. Our hosts we’re wonderful and afforded us plenty of privacy. Highly recommend!

    Daniel2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Sandy and Brett are the most welcoming, kind and lovely people. They both went out of their way to help myself and my boys feel comfortable and at home, even offering to pick us up when car trouble had us stranded in town! The most magical place to stay. In the words of Molly, do yourselves a favour. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you.

    Rachel2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Sandy is a welcoming host and the accommodation is a special place amongst the trees and bird chorus. A great comfy bed, indoor/outdoor shower and adequate kitchen equipment for simple meals and an outdoor day bed space to relax. Glamping at its best!

    Robyn2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • . Glamping @ its best! . 2 shipping containers and a shed-like structure meet to form a cosy natural environment where you have the luxury of a hot shower and flushing loo. The kitchen is quite basic, yet the cabin is 10 mins drive to Bellingen town centre where you can choose from a variety of cuisines - Cedar Restaurant and Smoke & Barrels Restaurant were our favourites. . Close to the wonderful fresh waterholes along Never Never Creek. . We were lucky to see 3 tawny frogmouths in the mango tree a few days in a row. . Sandy is lovely, very accommodating and makes great sourdough. . We were so grateful to be able to include our little dog in our holiday as much as possible. There were a couple of days where we sent him to doggie day care @ Bellingen Dog Care (which comes highly recommended) whilst we did some walks in Dorrigo National Park.

Ask three locals why it’s called the Promised Land, and you'll get three different answers - but it’s not hard to imagine why the first settlers in this region would have felt like the chosen ones. Pretty soon this impossibly lush region was flowing with milk, if not honey. But this place is more than a collection of vistas and beautiful spots to swim and relax. There's a magic in this valley - whether it's the ever present mountains or the clear waters trickling down them - we'll let you ponder that. The Promised Land starts after Gleniffer to the South and comprises the land in-between and surrounding a large loop road. Driving around this road will take you though forest, past several swimming holes and get you even closer to those impressive mountains. The Never Never Creek runs from the plateau through the Promised Land - passing close to Promised Land Retreat. The public reserve just down the road from the property is a great spot to relax on a hot day, the mountain waters and forests cooling the air and the water is impossibly clear and inviting. Just around the corner you'll find another swimming hole at Gleniffer - and easy cycle ride from Promised Land Retreat. Adventurous cyclists should know there are lots of tracks in this region, and experienced trekkers might like to hike up the creek to the impressive falls, that you - no doubt - will have to yourself. It's a stunning, peaceful, restorative part of the world to experience nature and escape the hustle and bustle of city living.

  • Set away from the hustle and bustle, nestled close by to a national park, Gavin's cabin is the perfect getaway. We arrived to a wonderful welcome by Gavin who was very welcoming and accommodating of our two dogs. We pretty much had free rein of the 5 acres and didn't have enough time to enjoy Gavin's tips and local knowledge as only spent the night. Would definitely return.

    Amanda2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Gavin’s place. It was perfect for our 1 night stopover driving from Brisbane to Sydney. There were loads of books, games and dvds for a relaxing evening after a long drive. We especially appreciated the plentiful breakfast supplies including an array of cereals and fresh sourdough, butter and spreads. Highly recommend.

  • This is a really hidden little gem of a location. We thought we were going glamping but it was quite a few steps up from that. Quirky & clean bathroom & kitchen and that air con & fan in the hut were a lifesaver in the heat that we experienced over the Australia Day Long weekend. We really enjoyed checking out the local area and all that it had to offer. Thank you for a great place to disconnect and relax.

  • The Hut was an oasis of peace in the middle of our holiday during the busy season. Kirsty and George were wonderful hosts and we were able to truly relax in the beautiful surroundings. The creek was a welcome relief from the heat and we were charmed by the town of Bellingen. We highly recommend!

  • Cosy dwelling in a magical location from which we enjoyed morning coffee on the deck over looking the goergous natural surroundings and wildlife with the subtle fragrance of the myrtle anise trees wafting through the atmosphere on occassion. We enjoyed the crisp, clear river and creek swims, bush walks , sunset canoes and even saw fire flies one night on the property . Bellingen itself was a novelty with its unique quirky bohemian village vibe , cosy eclectic cafes and bars offering variety & atmosphere , live music and arts events.... A great time ....was had. Thanks Kristy for your helpful hosting and sharing your lovely space.

    Ngai2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful place in such a special part of Australia. This is our second time staying at the Hut and it will surely not be our last. The room is cosy, humble and quiet looking out over the beautiful mountains. Kirsty is the perfect host, always about and contactable should you need anything but otherwise will leave you in peace to enjoy this beautiful place. Thanks so much again Kirsty!

  • Dee's place was excellent. Thoughtfully decorated with lots of nice touches. As a keen driver I loved the road to get there from Coffs but be aware the road to Dorrigo has a fair bit of gravel but in the right vehicle still a really nice drive. Dee and her family were lovely and excellent hosts. Given half a chance to return and I definitely will. Highly recommended.

The cabin was super clean and cosy, and Dee had left us a range of breakfast provisions (milk, butter, cereals, bread, jam, eggs). It was so nice sitting out on the deck in the evening. We had our dog too and there was a fully fenced yard around the cabin for him to stay in. We highly recommend staying at the cabin!

The cabin is tucked away 500 metres along an all weather gravel road from entry gate. There are gardens separating the cabin from the main house which is approximately 10 metres away to maintain your privacy. Inside is a queen size bed from which you can enjoy the scenery and the warmth from the wood fire place. There is a narrow entry into the ensuite, a kitchenette including electric frypan, microwave and fridge for use. A small balcony with gas BBQ, bench and stools leads down some stairs to a further outdoor seating area. An air conditioner has also been installed for comfort in summer. There are no TV or Wifi distractions from the everyday sounds and sights of country life.
  • We arrived to a very friendly greeting, had a great chat with Sharon about the local area and were shown through the space. She offered us to contact her for anything we needed, then left us to enjoy the cabin. The space was so private, we felt miles away from anywhere and loved our stay. The cabin itself was even better than we expected, with all the finer little details considered. The local countryside is stunning, great to unwind and drive through the hillside or just kick back and enjoy the cabin. Perfect place to unwind and forget about the rest of the world.

Hello! Thanks for looking at the Bellingen Treehouse. The property is located on the north side of Bellingen and has views to the Great Dividing Range. It is called the Treehouse as it is a house in the trees! It is incredibly quiet with no through traffic. The room, with the king-size bed, is at the front of the house and has a kitchenette with everything you need for an overnight stay. The room and patio are completely private. It's a great base for your visit to Bello! Pets welcome.
What makes this space special is that you are surrounded by trees (up close too) in an urban area. The room, with its green and brown colours, are designed to match the inside with the outside. The bed is big and comfy with a woolen under blanket. It is a timber house and made with love. It is a great place to relax, work, sleep, read, listen, watch and eat. For your enjoyment, there's a very quiet living space; a Bose stereo system, and a small TV. With Chromecast. If you are energetic, there's a small home gym downstairs with the basics. And you can also build a fire and sit around the pit. There's a great selection of cafes, restaurants and bars in Bello. It is a 15-minute walk to town and the river. There's also the Bellingen Provodore 'on the way home' which is open 7 am to 8 pm and great for meals, snacks, treats and booze. The house has solar power, solar hot water and battery storage. There is a new air conditioner in the room. There’s 20 plus types of fruit and vegetable in the permaculture garden. You are welcome to fossick and eat. I am pet friendly and my Bull Arab boy, Boss, is here but seperate from you. He is friendly, affectionate and well behaved.
This is on the northside of Bellingen. It is 1km to the bridge and 1.25 km to the main street. It is an urban residential area.
  • Charming timber room surrounded in lush green canopy. Andrew is a very accommodating host!

Our charming cottage is located a short walk from the main street of Dorrigo with great views of surrounding farmland . It has a wood burner and air conditioner for comfort. Dorrigo is a friendly country town with some interesting local shops and great cafes. It is surrounded by National Parks and waterfalls. Whether you want to explore the local natural attractions, attend any of the festivals or events on offer or just simply to curl up with a good book, Kurrajong is the ideal home base.
  • Wonderful home, full of lovely thoughtful touches like fresh flowers. Great location and beautiful views out the back.

  • His is the second time we have stayed at this property. A great stay, wonderful town and region. The house is well equipped and thoughtfully decorated and has lovely rural views from the back of the property. Can’t wait until the next time we visit !!

  • Lea-Anne’s beautiful cottage ‘Kurrajong’ was a ‘home away from home’. Well appointed with everything you need including a fully supplied kitchen and helpful tips about the area. Lea-Anne was a great communicator and most helpful. Outstanding furnishings and super clean, Kurrajong is super comfortable!

    Rebecca2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Dorrigo is a beautiful little town, well worth a visit and Lea-Annes place is the perfect place to stay.

    Robyn2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • As soon as we opened the door, we felt welcome. Its cool, stylish interior embraced us. Kurrajong had everything we needed...lots of space, assorted arts and furnishings, fabulous hot showers after a long trek in the National Park and chairs on the veranda to enjoy a cool drink or dinner at the end of the day. Looking forward to returning in winter so we can try out the fire!!

    Louise2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • When we opened the front door we were blown away by just how amazing this house is. It's one of the most stylish places I've ever stayed, with so many original and elegant touches to the decor - even better than it looks in the photos. The location is also great - a few minutes' walk to the centre of town but with a gorgeous outlook over fields at the back. It has everything you could possibly need for a short stay, except wifi, although we didn't feel that we needed the internet for entertainment with the large collection of DVDs and magazines on offer. Very highly recommended.

    Sarah2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • The stay at Lea-Anne and Phil was a five-star accommodation and we could not have expected to celebrate the new year anywhere else. As such, it is one of the best AirBNB accommodations we have ever stayed in. We star gazed in the large back yard till late in the night. It was a totally refreshing atmosphere. We will surely return if opportunity presents. Thank you, Lea-Anne and Phil.

Bright, clean and spacious cottage with stunning views of the Promised Land and World Heritage mountains.
Cascades cottage is a separate, fully self contained, spacious one bedroom timber cottage. It was built two years ago and has travertine floors and whitewashed walls. It is bright, clean and airy and has a private veranda with expansive views of the surrounding Promised Land and World Heritage mountains. The cottage shares five acres, with the timber house we live in, but is completely independent from our house. It has a very comfortable queen bed with quality linens and is best suited for two people. However, there is a comfortable sofa in the lounge room if you have one extra to squeeze in. The cottage has a flat screen TV, DVD player, a vast number of DVDs, ceiling fans, combustion stove, electric towel rail and a large powerful hot shower. The kitchen is well equipped with full stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee plunger and sandwich press. It is well stocked with cooking essentials like olive oil, salt, pepper, tea, coffee, milk, and we are always happy to supply anything you may need if we have it. Quality toiletries are also provided. As much as possible, everything we provide for you is locally produced and organically grown. You are welcome to take fruit and herbs from our garden and orchard, and we provide eggs from our free range chickens.
We are ten kilometres from vibrant Bellingen and twenty kilometres from stunning, quiet beaches.

  • My husband and I stayed here overnight for a relaxing little getaway, and it was exactly that! Peter’s place is tucked away in beautiful Gleniffer and is so quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature. We didn’t get the view in the photos due to much needed rainy days, but it was still perfect! The space was bigger than expected and had everything we needed for a night away - including great kitchen facility and amazing bathroom. Would stay again!

On the edge of town, quiet at night, peaceful neighbourhood, eclectic home, an affordable bed and bathroom...spotlessly clean, it isn’t. Old house, dusty, please feel free to remove any noticeable spiderwebs.
2 cats, Princess Sophie and Little Boy, large garden.
Home to the Promised Land, donated by the Angel Gabriel, and our special resident, David Helfgott. Amazing town, good food, splendid outlook, many trees, very green.
  • Denene and her family were great hosts. They’re friendly and thoughtful and great to have a chat with. The bed is really comfortable. And the cats are cute. Definitely recommend

Home to one of Bellingen's original pioneers, Freida Hicks, our farmhouse is full of classic charm and old fashioned country relaxation (eating and dining on verandahs, open fires, river swims, bird watching, board games - but still with great NBN!). Super spacious, 'Freida' has become a favourite for family gatherings. Comfortably accommodate 10. We have great rates for longer term stays.
Many describe a stay at 'Freida' as a step back in time - they speaking of homey, comfortable, old world charm - a beautiful setting to enjoy special times together. It consistently attracts groups of family and friends for special occasions - birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, local festivals and art camps. Or just a memorable family holiday and catch up. We have delighted in hosting many multi-generation family gatherings. Whilst 'Freida' has not had the modern refurbish - the floorboards are unpolished and she has many 'original' features - she offers country simplicity and peace. We like to think that the house is like her original owner, Freida would have been - generous, elegant and unpretentious. Freida Hicks was a remarkable pioneer midwife (originally from Germany) who cared for women and babies all across the Bellinger valley in the late 1800s. Her husband was the local medico. Originally known locally as 'the hospital', Frieda has always been a home of nurturing and care. A classic Australian country homestead, Freida is clad with cedar weatherboards that the region is famous for and wrapped with large verandahs. The long central hallway is the spine of house. The four double size bedrooms come off the hallway, they have high ceilings and each has french doors that lead on to the verandah. Two of the rooms have single beds in addition to the doubles. The large kitchen and living areas are spacious, they were a carefully blended addition to the original home. There is a large stove and dishwasher in the kitchen and a wood burning fire in the lounge room (we provide timber). The verandahs have hammocks, lounges and an outside dining table. The combination of the living areas and the verandahs mean that large numbers of people are accommodated with ease and comfort. There are spacious, central places for gathering and nooks for quiet and private time. The property is on 10 acres (2 acres orchard). There is abundant birdlife and it is bounded by a groves of trees and a creek (not for swimming). The water hole on the Bellinger River is a 10 minute walk down the road. We can provide inner tubes for a float down the river. Water holes on the Never Never are approximately the same distance by car and are pretty exceptional places to relax at and to explore.
So much to do (and great ways to "not do"): *Start out with a coffee on one of Freida's verandahs - watch the birdlife. *Our favourite waterhole on Bellinger River is 10 minute walk from the house. A swim here is the best way to begin and finish the day. *You must swim at one of the many waterholes on the pristine Never Never River (anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes by car, depending on the hole). You can spend all day here under the trees with a picnic. *Bellingen is the best - full of warm welcomes, crafts, great food and local coffee that gives Melbourne a run for its money! *Thora is 10 minutes drive from Freida along scenic Summervilles Rd, passing beautiful in the Rosewoods Creek. It is partially unsealed. *You can drive west from Thora and explore the magical Thora valley * Drive from Thora up Waterfall Way to the Dorrigo Plateau - any visit to our area needs to include Dorrigo: - see the traditional country town, have a burger at the milkbar. - the Dorrigo National Park Rainforest Centre - walk out on the Skywalk - do a walk through the exquisite rainforest - there are short and long walks (our favourite takes you to a waterhole that is the headwater of our Never Never river) *Our mid north coast beaches are fabulous - go to Hungry Head, Urunga, Mylestom, all about 15 minutes from Bellingen. *Wash off the salt on the way home in the Bellinger River then finish the day with a beer or glass of champagne on the verandah! Check out our photos for a glimpse of these local treasures and moments.
  • We loved our stay at Elizabeth's place. Elizabeth was very welcoming and thoughtful. She made sure we had everything we might need. She even dropped off heavier quilts for us as she noticed the weather had taken a turn for the cold! We had a really lovely time at the property.... the beautiful lounge room lends itself to cozy chats by the fire, or a lazy read by the patio doors... and a great dining area for a family dinner....! And the area where the property is, is really gorgeous... !

    Michelle2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth’s place is a wonderful location for a family holiday. There was lots of spaces to relax in and a great kitchen for cooking meals for a large family. The property is lush and beautiful and Elizabeth was a fantastic host. Close to the lovely town of Bellingen, where you can shop at stylish stores and get good coffee. I highly recommend Freida’s house and would definitely stay again!

  • There is outstanding hospitality, and here is the kind of experience Liz offered my family. We were brought together suddenly and for a sad reason and Liz did everything possible to make things easier for us. Additional rooms at last minute (one added at 9.30 at night), a well stocked pantry, preparing the BBQ for us, boosting the hot water for additional guest. It warmed my heart to see family come together in the beautiful large kitchen and prepare a meal together. Highly recommended!

  • Great house for large family gathering. Close to the beautiful swimming holes at Never Never.

    Melinda2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a find! Liz's place is a wonderful Bellingen hideaway. The pictures don't do it justice. A great old house with big private rooms and a wrap around verandah our kids went nuts for. The kitchen is worth the trip all by itself - perfect for hanging out whilst you cook your next meal. Thanks Liz!

  • We loved Freida! Everything about this property is beautiful. Our host Elizabeth was so friendly and helpful and the amenities (deep bath tub, fireplace, balconies with so many relaxation areas, huge kitchen etc) were amazing. The local shops in Bellingen were lovely and there are so many walking tracks and day trips to explore if that’s your thing. Highly recommend this peaceful part of the world where you can truly unwind...
